The school day began as any other school day would. Kids were currently gathered in or around the front of the school, socializing with their friends, gathered in their respective cliques and basically doing things normal peasants do everyday. They continued doing so, until they looked as a long black limousine pulled up in front of the school. All activity seemed to stop, as a man in a black suit, obviously the driver, got out and opened the backdoor of the limo. Setting one foot out, everyone looked as the figure of Manfred Walker stepped out of the vehicle. Tossing the driver a dollar without caring whether he caught it or not, the uppity upperclassman took out his cane, which was used more to flaunt than to walk with. Setting the cane on the ground, he walked past the school gates and into the school grounds. He looked around, as everyone had given him a wide and clear birth, for him to walk through. The uppity nobleman smiled at this. He enjoyed seeing those below him do their best to accommodate him. It suited them, really. What else were these peasants good for? He continued walking, ignoring all of the stares and whispers around him. "Let them say what they want," he thought. "They're all just jealous. They wish they could have just a sample of the prestige I have." |

It had taken a fair bit of effort, and a LOT of coaching from Loretta, but Matt had finally figured out how to make an alarm clock work. And as far as the homunculus was concerned, that was a glorious achievement, one worthy of celebration! So, how was he celebrating, you ask? Simple: He was indulging in a little thing that wasn't strictly necessary for him anymore. Matt was eating a banana as he walked through the front gates, a slight hustle in his step. It had taken a little bit to figure out where to buy the odd-looking fruit, and a not-so-quick question session with the poor guy selling them on how to properly eat it. Still, the homunculus was quite enjoying his treat. He'd heard of them back when he was still human, but had never really gotten the chance to enjoy one until now. And the homunculus had to admit, it was certainly tasty, and well worth running a minute or two behind schedule for. Still, he was in a hurry. He'd heard something about a school disciplinary committee, and it had piqued the homunculus interest. He wanted to check it out before his classes started, and getting the banana had cut into that time slightly. So, to save himself some time, Matt didn't go through the proper disposal procedures for his meal, and simply threw the banana peel behind him. Right in front of one Manfred Walker, who was just about to put his foot down on the peel itself. This probably wasn't going to end well. |

As he was prepared to enter the building, Manfred looked as a simple peasant was walking in front of him, munching on a simple fruit. He scowled. How dare this filthy commoner have the audacity to dare be in front of him?! He was prepared to show the poor fool the error of his ways, until his foot just happened to slip on the banana pill that the fool did not have the common decency to dispose of properly. Manfred felt himself fly through the air, as he landed hard on his back, his cane flying somewhere off in the distance. He groaned, as he felt his head hit the pavement hard. Opening his eyes, he growled, his anger raising. Suddenly, his eyes changed purple, as the aura around his body changed, giving off a malevolent vibe. With an angry growl, he propelled himself off of the ground, and glared heavily at the person before. Suddenly, the filthy peasant felt himself unable to move, as he was now caught in Manfred's telekinesis. |

Matt heard the telltale *whump* of someone falling behind him, along with the clattering of what sounded like wood. The homunculus would turn back, his head tilted slightly in confusion. He saw the other pointy-nosed boy sprawled out on the ground, anger obvious on his face. Christ, he's got a weird nose. Matt thought to himself as the boy's eyes started to glow. Like, is that genetic or somethin'? Yeah, the rest of his family must have pointy honkers like that too. ... Those poor, poor people. Most normal people would have been bothered by the glowing eyes and the like, but then again, Matt was hardly like any normal person. Besides, he'd seen stranger by this point. Like that big ugly thing that wanted to eat the world, or the countless Homunculi he had killed. Or that Psy guy he had accidentally stumbled upon on the internet while he was learning to use that particularly strange bit of technology. And then Matt felt the telekinesis surround him. His face would suddenly become worried. Though not because the telekinesis was holding him in place. On the contrary, actually. Between the overall weakness of the force Matt could feel on him, and his own strength, the homunculus remained certain that if push came to shove against the force, he'd prove superior to it. No, what was worrying was that he was going to be late for the Discipline committee now! He'd politely clear his throat at that moment, possibly as the other boy picked himself up off the ground. "Errr, laddy? Think ye could let me go? I happen to have some prior engagements that need me attention." |

Manfred's anger only rose as he turned the foolish peasant around, getting a good look at him. This fool dared to have the gall to embarrass him? And in public, no less?! Manfred was not taking this sitting down. "No one embarrasses me and lives to tell about it!" he thought, as he brought the boy close to him. "Disgusting," he said, outloud as his eyes were still purple and his air was raging all around. Hearing the boy speak to him and dare to use his ridiculous language on him, only helped to enrage the nobleman even more than he already was. "For someone like you to even speak to me is disgusting. You filthy peasant!" he said, as he pushed the boy away from him, sending him colliding straight into the wall of the school building. Of course, this, itself, was not enough dissipate the young nobleman's wrath. Oh no, he needed to dish out a lot more punishment before that could happen, and this fool would make a perfect 'punching bag'. If he got in trouble, so be it. It would hurt people now, and worry about the consequences later. Besides, what could this school do to him that his parents haven't done to him already? |

![]() "What's this that I am hearing? Raised voices? Angry words?" A sudden squall blew through the area, causing hair and clothing of all within the vicinity to rustle and sending dust and fallen leaves flying around as Lavender descended from the skies, the aeromancer looking on sternly as she crossed her arms over her chest, a vortex of ethereal-looking lavender swirls surrounding her form as she pulled the air from her surroundings to compress it around her for her aeromancy abilities in anticipation for any trouble. "Now can someone kindly please tell me what was going on around here?" she asked as she cancelled out her wind vortex, the howling and whistling noises dying down as the air returned to normal, causing the aeromancer to land gently on her feet as she slowly paced back and forth, watching the two boys intently. |

Matt was beginning to get annoyed. Here he was, just trying to make it to an activity that interested him, and some pointy-nosed twit decided to randomly take offense to him! Honestly, it wasn't as if the homunculus had done anything wrong. At least as far as he knew, that is. Who knows, maybe this guy had something against scars. When the other kid started bringing him closer with the force, Matt didn't resist. However, even with Matt's utter lack of counter-movement, Manfred would have to work hard to drag the other boy towards him. After all, he was trying to drag around someone who was nearly twice the weight of his comfortable capacity for his telekinesis. Matt's annoyance would become visible upon his face at that point, his eyebrows furrowing together. "No laddie. I said let me go," he would say, his voice possessing a definite edge to it. "This is the exact opposite of lettin' me go. If ye don't happen to let me go very soon here, laddie, I'll get a wee bit insulted." It was at this point that another person arrived at the scene. Matt would look at Lavender, a smile coming to his face. "Ah, 'ello there lassie!" he would say, his voice decidedly cheerful. "Normally, I'd love to explain to ye what's going on. But the truth is that I honestly have no idea. One moment, I'm just walkin' along, enjoyin' a banana, and the next, I hear someone fallin' behind me. I turn around, and next thing I know, pointy-nose 'ere has me grabbed by invisible hands or somethin'. That'd be the long and short o' it, I imagine." Manfred continued growling, as he continued being spoken down to by this filthy peasant and his ridiculous foreign accent. He hated dealing with peasants, but when they spoke abnormally, that made it even worse. That's why he always tried to put some distance between him and them. Not that they even deserved to be put in the same category as him. They were beneath him and he made sure to go out of his way to make sure that they knew that. "Shut your filthy mouth, you pathetic excuse for..." Manfred began, but stopped as he was interrupted by someone. He prepared himself to inflict more punishment, but recognized the voice. He released his telekinesis from the peasant and looked as a one Lavender appeared on the scene, using her well-known wind skills to appear. Closing his eyes for a brief second, which were still purple from his hissy fit a while ago, he reopened, transforming them back into his regular black eyes. "Forgive me for saying so Miss, but I'm afraid this does not concern you." he said, speaking politely to the teacher, though his voice had an obvious edge to it. He was never taught how to be respectful to his elders, since his parents didn't do a very good job of teaching him. But he was warned numerous times that if he wanted to remain at this school, he was going to have start showing the proper respect. Even though he felt it was beneath him to do such a thing, he knew he had to pick his battles. "This filthy peasant purposely embarrassed me in front of everyone." he said, pointing his cane at the boy, a few feet away from him. "He forced me to fall on this hard concrete, and now I am going to punish him for it. Your timing is good, but it is unnecessary. There's no need for you to interefere." he spoke, trying his utmost to sound respectful, which wasn't much. |

"Fall down? Peasant? Whoa, slow down..." Lavender remarked as she held her hands out, waving slightly to try to calm the two boys down. First listening to the cheerful-sounding one, then followed by the angry one. "Wait, did you say you were eating a banana before you heard the other guy fall?" Lavender inquired as she first turned to deal with Matt. "Well, greater care needs to be exercised when disposing of the peel in that case," the aeromancer remarked as she noticed the banana peel lying on the floor, before extending her left hand at the discarded skin. "Aerowhip," Lavender muttered as a small lavender colored vortex surrounded her hand, followed by an ethereal-looking ribbon of compressed air shooting forth and wrapping around the banana peel, lifting it off the ground. With a beckoning gesture, the aeromancer then caused the banana peel to float to where she and the boys were, showing it to Matt as she floated it in midair. "These things can easily cause accidents if not disposed of properly; it's this young man's good fortune that he only hurt his pride, but worse injuries could've been sustained, so please bear this in mind next time. And besides, we all have a part to play in keeping our school grounds clean and litter-free," Lavender continued as she deftly flicked her wrist and sent the banana peel flying into a nearby trash bin. "And I'm afraid that as a teacher at this campus it is my responsibility to get involved if there is the threat of violence breaking out," Lavender turned her attention next to Manfred. "May I hazard a guess, judging from your choice of words you must hail from a privileged background?" the aeromancer asked. "I understand that you have every reason to be upset, but please, this is a school," Lavender admonished, shaking her head disapprovingly. "If you have any grievances I'm sure one could always talk things out in a civil manner. This isn't the Middle Ages anymore; we're living in an age of egalitarianism and social justice." Pausing for a while to consult the Galaxy Gear 2, the aeromancer gasped as she took note of the time displayed. "Alright, just try to be civil about this from now on, okay? And don't forget to reach your classes on time," Lavender remarked in a more mellow tone of voice this time round after having exhausted her rhetoric, before turning around and heading over to where she was scheduled to hold a class. |

Sakurayami was waiting by one of the trees near the school entrance. She had been looking for her new homeroom teacher, a certain Miss Lavender Smith, to ask about her class, until came a stray remark by a errant student, whereupon she thought to herself: 'Filthy peasant, did he say? Anyone careless enough to alienate the working class in such a way was most likely one of the nouveau riche. Or at least nouveau riche to an esteemed daughter of the Kurushima clan.' She was about to ignore the fool comment when she noticed that the man who had been levitating was taller by about a head, and that the new money was even slightly shorter than her. While not an uncommon occurrence in her hometown, Sakurayami being the fifth tallest girl in her junior high, weren't foreigners usually rather tall? It didn't matter either way, as she thought he would be a fine source of unpleasantries nonetheless. She decided to trouble the conversation after she saw Miss Smith leaving for her class. "Pardon my intrusion..." Sakurayami said, making sure to constrict her pupils as she turned to each of them. "I am most sorry to have heard even a fraction of this conversation. The honored and skillful one, continue in your social duty that you may serve as my most trusted arm. The boy who is parvenu, do not betray your wealth by disgracing whatever petty house that has gambled upon your conception." She began to head to her own class, as she did not want the bother of being late. "... Good tidings upon you all." |

Manfred scowled as Lavender intervened in the dispute between him and the other individual he was currently having problems with. He hated people who butted into his business. It reminded him too much of his younger brother. Always butting into his conversations, always embarrassing him, acting like he was so superior! These thoughts rushed into the young noble's mind as he clenched his hands together, upset. He sighed inwardly as he tried to calm himself. Getting all bent out of shape and upset over things one could not control was the way a distinguished nobleman should act. Especially in public. He folded his arms as he listened to the teacher speak to the one named 'Matt'. What an average name. Thank goodness his parents had more sense than to name him something so... common. He looked as the banana peel that peasant was eating was now floating in the air. He narrowed his eyes at the boy. "He probably did it on purpose," he muttered. He looked at the teacher as she then asked him a question about his background. He had to keep himself from mentally rolling his eyes. "That, I do miss. I am the first son of the distinguished Walker line, and heir to the royal family name." he said, as he put on an air of superiority, smirking. If there was one thing Manfred liked more than money, it was bragging about his supposed noble heritage. Unfortunately, it would seem the teacher either did not hear or did not care, as she continued talking about talking things out and other such useless morals he heard every once in a while. He rolled his eyes, as the teacher then dismissed herself. Shaking his head, he was prepared to leave well enough alone. Truth be told, Manfred didn't like confrontations. But when they happened, he just got a rush from them that he couldn't suppress until he beat the crap out of them. As stated, he was prepared to walk away from this, until a passerby who had someone put her nose in his business had the goal to insult not only him, but his family name. Growling, he felt his eyes turn purple once more, as his rage skyrocketed. "Who do you think you are..." he growled. "...to speak to me in such a way!!" he yelled, as he stopped the girl from going any further with his telekinesis. Out of the frying pan and into the fire. That was Manfred. |
