ZEHAHAHA!!
A figure flew out of an alley, skidding across the pavement to the curb. Kell coughed painfully as she struggled to stand. Madre de Dios, she had not expected to run into one of those monstrosities. Her assailant followed her out into the street, stalking her with unhurried ease.

It was a grotesque mockery of a human, pulsating with corrupt energies as it stepped into the open light. 8 feet tall and made of supernaturally enhanced muscle, the thing turned its stretched face left and right as if greeting everybody who saw it with a painful rictus. The symbols carved into its body wept blood, as did the brickwork of the stores that it passed by.

With every step, the effects on the environment changed. The air grew icy, then burning hot, then filled with smoke and the smell of captivity and fear. Shadows twisted and howled with soundless laughter, then burst into harsh bright light before turning back to dark.

She didn't know its name. She didn't even want to know what it really was. But she did know this: The situation was uncontained. If she didn't move to stop it, the damned thing would lose interest and start killing civilians.

Shit. She needed some serious help here.

Needless to say Shin was not expecting this. He was'nt expecting his grocery shopping to be interrupted by a girl flying out of a nearby alley and nearly crashing into him. He certainly wasn't expecting to run into a creature that would impress Lovecraft in terms of horrific appearance. "My my." He stated as he dropped his bag of groceries and dashed over to the the girl's side. "Would you like some assistance?"
Of course weather she accepted his help or not was pointless. Shin intended to join this fight. After all it was his job to defend the innocent from things that went bump in the night.

Facing down the grotesque creature Shin summoned his sword Oblivion to his right hand in a burst of shadow. While his smile didn't drop his voice had a hint of ice to it. "I don't know what you are or if you can understand me. But I will say that if you don't surrender now, I cant be held responsible for what I'm going to do to you."
He turned to Kell and gave what he presumed was a flirtatious wink. "Since you seem to be the more experienced among us, I'll ask that you lead this dance." He slipped into his combat stance with both of his tendrils springing up beside him, ready to attack or defend depending on Kell's command.

But how can mirrors be real if our eyes aren't real?
Today had been... average for Lovise. She had done all of her homework first thing in the morning while having a healthy breakfast like a good girl, jogged for an hour to keep up her stamina, then doing volunteer work for some time. She was, in fact, just on her way home from working at the animal shelter - she was still patting cat hair off her sleeves. All in all, she had done exactly what her personality demanded: everything a model citizen would do. She still didn't understand why people looked at her so strangely when she told them she spent most of her day either working for school or for the community. Was it not obvious why she did it? Besides, what would she do in her free time?

Lovise froze in her tracks. What was that sound? That sensation of... wrongness? She stilled her mist-like blue wings, cutting the soft, gentle chiming that came along with them off. Whether it was simply her imagination or really something she felt -or more interestingly, that Sanguinius's influence revealed to her- Lovise was inclined to investigate, just to be sure. Ignoring the few strands of cat hair she had just been brushing away for what they were, she slipped into a side-street to investigate.

It wasn't long before she came upon the scene - a twisted man-like being menacingly approaching two teenagers ready to fight it off. The way reality itself seemed to groan under the very weight of its power told Lovise all she needed to know - this thing was no good. It would need to be destroyed.

Bellowing a howl of: "FOR THE BLOOD ANGELS!" Lovise charged at the creature, blinding blue light surrounding her for a moment before vanishing, leaving her clad in the armor of the venerable Sanguinius. Sword held forward, she barreled into the creature with all her strength and weight.

ZEHAHAHA!!
"Now ain't the time for posturing. We got to draw the damn thing off from the civvies!" Kell growled, forcing herself to her feet as the anomaly approached. The smell of clotting blood and pungent spices blew in a dreadful gust towards her and Shin. It was easy for the demon hunter to sense that this overwhelming figure was one of the beings he had devoted his life to fighting.

"He got summoned out of nowhere. I ain't charging in, I know I'm dead if it decides it wants to paint the street with my insides."

The wrestler didn't have to hesitate much longer, though. The daemon was assaulted from the side by Lovise, but it wasn't fazed in the slightest. With the blade plunging towards its heart, the unnatural being simply reached out. The air itself twisted, light refracting as the distortion slowed the Blood Angel's charge. With its arm bending in ways impossible for its bone structure, the anomaly simply grabbed her blade and reeled her in.

Its free hand started pulsating, as if a great heart had started forcing massive quantities of blood through it. If it wasn't avoided, who knew what would happen if the freakish hand made contact with Lovise?

"Nonsense. There's always time for posturing." Shin replied merrily, seemingly unaffected by the aberration's appearance. In fact he was bothered, the amount of demonic power that was coming out of the creature was impressive, so Shin took a moment to analyse his opponent.
His analysis was cut short when he heard a female voice cry ""FOR THE BLOOD ANGELS! And a girl, clad in shining armour flew in from the side and attacked the creature.

Wasting no time Shin set off, dashing forward in order to support his angelic ally.
"That girl possesses some of the power of Sanguinius?........ Interesting." The voice of Malphas intoned from within Shin's mind. "Friend of yours?" Shin asked his tenant, their conversation moving at the speed of thought as Shin sprinted low to the ground towards the monster. "Nothing you need concern yourself with boy. But I would be very appreciative if you let the girl die."
"Not going to happen." Shin retorted as he made his move against the creature. The heroic demonhost intent on aiding the divinely empowered teen

Upon reaching the beast Shin created a platform of shadow in front of him. Using it as a springboard Shin leapt up high. Becoming level with the creature's head. Wasting no time Shin sent his trusty combat tendrils to work. One launched itself from over Shin's shoulder at the arm that held Lovise's sword. His second tendril fired over his other shoulder at the creature's other hand that seemed to be preparing some form of attack.
As for Shin himself? Taking his blade in both hands. He brought his sword in a horizontal swipe. Intent on severing the creature head from its neck.

Not too far, two girls turned the corner of an alley, when a scared passerby nearly trambled both, leaving them startled enough to not yell at him at all.

Well, damn.

At the very least was what crossed Taisha Aya's mind.
It seemed this town had a knack for surprising events to happen didn't it? Just when you think plant-like aliens, demons and fallen gods are enough to make you ready for anything, the sight of that deformed human with enlit runes on his body proved the list of surprises were endless.

The metabolist didn't show her surprise as much as Heleth did though.

The short, red skinned demon beside the italian student had her dual layered eyes wide open as well as her mouth.
"Curses! What the hell is that!?"

The two girls were just coming from the library known as Eldritch Influence. When Heleth discovered that Aya knew the location of such an interesting place, she bugged the girl to show it to her.

Since the events in the Netherworld, Heleth used part of her free time to document herself on the matter and gain some useful knowledge against the Mazikin threat.

Aya had no particular reason to deny her that, and as such she led Heleth right there.

Both of them didn't wear their school uniform, and had more casual clothes on. Aya had little more than a pair of denim pants and a white t-shirt and sneakers, with her usual dolphin tail hairstyle.
Heleth had a simple white summer dress on with white sandals. Her hair was tied in two braids she put in front of her shoulders.
Heleth was carrying a bag with two books she took from the store.

They were still rather far, so the runes on the man were little more than glowing signs. Not to mention the man was in the middle of a battle with three persons.
Almost certainly other students.

Both noticed almost at the same time that Kell was one of them.
Heleth turned toward Aya, and was about to say something when she noticed Aya's eyes changed colour.
The tanned girl sprinted forward, leaving Heleth behind. The demon barely had the time to shout "Hey!"

Aya just speeded up her metabolism, and was closing the distance that separated them from the monster with a running speed that she could not hope to match.
"Reckless girl" she complained, as her jade hair moved and her braids undid themselves.
Heleth sighed. Even if she saw no direct gain from an intervention, Kell was there, and Aya was soon going to be involved as well.
To be completely honest, Heleth didn't like Kell at all, for a large number of reasons, the first one was that Kell hated all demons with a passion and she was one. Also, the luchadora was a very uneducated individual, and her constant swearing was unnerving.
But she still was a fellow student, and an ally in the whole netherworld matter.

The red demon began to move and run through the road, her green hair growing in length. Her sandals clacked down the road as she was approaching the battle.

"Well, Haven't I come across an interesting sight." Gaius spoke as he casually observed the situation from across the road. He had been learning the lay of the land only to come across this whole scenario. Laughing and raising a hand to the back of his head he wondered whether this happened all the time or just some of the time.

Smirking Gaius observed the people who were involved in the battle, they had decided to go ahead and rush on in. That was obviously a horribly bad choice but it wasn't suprising, after all the chance that these were students and not trained professionals were high so a little lapse in efficiency could be forgiven.

It seemed like they were going to just go ahead and get themselves killed by charging in. A sigh was followed by a quick smirk from Gaius "Guess I should intervene then." Concentrating on the ground beneath the creature Gaius began to manipulate it, if the creature didn't do something to avoid the ground beneath him moving he would find his footing missing of all things.

A hole of about a metre would open up squarely beneath him only to be followed by the ground that had opened up moving to entangle the being's arms. "You guys are being a bit reckless." Gaius spoke confidently as he walked across the road to where the battle was occurring.

What is this thing?
"Huh monster attack, must be Tuesday." A young werewolf commented to no one in particular from across the road. What had begun as a simple walk through the town turned into an investigation when the lycan picked up a truly horrific scent on the wind.

Needless to say he wasn't surprised when he found several other students fighting some kind of demon. Deciding that he didn't want to be left out of the fun, the loup garou joined the assault on the beast. As he charged past Gaius he heard the terramancer's comment and called back to him. Who wants to be careful? Recklessness is far more fun."

Letting his instincts take over, the shapeshifter charged forward on all fours. Hands and feet transforming into their clawed form. He wanted to test the waters with his opponent before he changed into his war form.

Reaching his opponent Jack ducked low, underneath Shin, He drove a claw forward, aiming at the upper part of the aberration's left leg.

ZEHAHAHA!!
The world twisted again, diverting Shin's attack so that the oblivion blade parted the skin of its throat rather than its head from its neck. That said, not even a single drop of blood was spilled by the cut. As for the tendrils, they were ignored with casual disdain. The one aimed at the arm clutching Lovise's sword merely shattered against the runed flesh, while the other made contact with the outstretched hand and bent to strike at the same point on Shin's body!

Of course, it could not maintain its grip on the Blood Angel's sword forever. Gaius' tactic actually surprised it for a second, releasing its grip on the steel before it changed the ground and stood firmly once more. That opening was soon exploited by Jack, though. The werewolf's claw raked across the skin, creating a variet of sounds. First metal, then stone, then it found purchase as the flesh altered into liquidity.

However, the claw attack was met with the same lack of blood. At this point, it seemed like nothing ran through its arteries and veins except for daemonic hate.

"Take its head! I don't think it'll be hurt by anything less!" Kell shouted, wisely staying back so the daemon didn't beat her face in like it wanted to do.
