Humming a jingle of a catchy theme heard in some classic videogame, a silver haired girl made her way from the dojo to the dorm rooms in the evening lights.

With a ponytail that day, Aya Taosha had her training clothes on, a pair of black short pants with a blue line on the sides, and a grey tank top that left her mifriff exposed.
She had a towel on her shoulders and a satisfied face. She grew stronger recently, and was enjoying the sensation of her newfound power. She was probably able to go toe to toe with an eudaemon and prevail easily. Maybe she could even ask a spar to Seth and put up a short fight decently too.

Still humming, the girl looked for the keys in her pockets and used them to open the main door of Yuki dorms.
From there, reaching her room was an instant. Room 101 was just right next to it.
Aya stepped inside her room and threw the towel toward her bed. After that, the speechless girl contemplated, with her arm still extended after the throw, that something was amiss. No, someone was amiss.
Amaranta, the eudaemon plant-girl that usually was in her room wasn't there.

"Oh...damn" was her far too calm statement, as her blank face barely changed expression toward mildly annoyed.

What the!? That never happened before! How and when did she left!? She had human like features, but she still was a plant in a vase! And she never expressed any kind of willingness to leave!
Aya roamed through her room for any sign of how Amaranta left, but all the windows were still closed. Did she left looking for food? Oh crap, she was a carnivorous plant! What if she decided to chew a random student!?

Aya stared at the door with a worried face. They might even take her down as a dangerous monster!
Another worry crossed Aya's mind. Despite all the differences she shown from Masaru or other eudaemons, that didn't change the fact that she was an eudaemon as well.
The girl left her room, and immediately headed for the closest person she could ask for help.
"Heleth" she whispered as soon as she reached the door of room 102 "Heleth are you in there? I need your help!"

No answers. Apparently, the demon girl wasn't in her room. Aya stared at the corridor and then at the main doors. The girl felt it, it was's going to be a long night.

It had been a long day for the werewolf of London. Jack had tried (and failed miserably) to train in the deep woods at keeping up his transformed form active for longer without his inner beast overtaking his mind with animal instincts. He let out a groan as his muscles ached from their repeated transformations as he made his way over to the Yuki dorms cursing that it was girls on the first floor and that he would have to suffer through stairs before he could make it to his own room.

He pushed open the front door and began moving towards the stairs nearly ignoring a silver-haired girl that was standing in the corridor. He paused, he didn't recognise the girl but from the look on her face she seemed worried about something.
Letting out a sigh Jack walked over to the girl. "You o.k?" He asked. "Lock yourself out or something?"
He took a moment to look the girl over. She was tanned, had very long silver hair and seemed to have just gotten back from a workout. It seems Jack wasn't the only person here trying to improve themselves.

Aya's blue eyes slid toward the boy that asked her if she was all right. Her rather inexpressive face had an eyebrow raising when the boy took his time in staring at her.
The tanned girl took that time to think about what she could say.
'Not really, but the man eating plant I kept in a vase just decided to take a stroll to God knows where! Hopefully she isn't hungry today!'

No, that wasn't a thing she could say.
"I'm just looking for a friend, but apparently she's not here at the moment... I wonder where she could be. Did you see anything odd on your way here?" she asked.

"No I didn't see anything strange but I wasn't really paying attention. He looked back towards the door. "Why do you ask anyway?" He paused for a moment as he remembered where he was. "Oh gods above, there's something out there isn't there." He let out a long sigh, he didn't want to have to deal with anything but his sense of moral duty prevented him from walking away. "What's happening?" He questioned the girl.

His reaction looked just a little too alarmed. Maybe Aya was a bit too calm as she mentioned her problem, because he did read between the lines in an admirable way.
Still, Aya's face showed little surprise for that, and answered with her standard calm tone: "Well, my roommate is odd enough to not go unnoticed"
The girl gave a glance at the boy and she wondered where she saw him before, but her mind was busy with Amaranta's whereabouts, so she didn't really bother.

"Well, she doesn't get out much and today she left without warning. I think I'll go to look for her! Excuse me..."
With a fluid and continuous motion, the silver haired girl bowed, turned on her heels and stepped out of the building.

Aya's eyes wandered around the area, and, as expected, there was no sign of Amaranta in the vicinity. Damn.

"Alrighty then I may have overreacted there." Jack thought to himself as the silver-haired girl passed him by in search of her roommate.
He watched her go. "Well she didn't ask for help and I think she is one of the older students, not a transfer like myself so she can probably handle whatever comes her way." He placed his hand over his mouth as he attempt to stifle a yawn. "Gods I'm tired." He muttered aloud to no one in particular as he made his way towards the stairs, once again cursing their existence.
He trudged up the stairs arms hanging at his sides, until he reached his floor. He wanted nothing more right now than sleep and heaven help anything that got in his way.

Speaking of things in the way...
Just on the floor above, at the end of the stairs, stood a figure. In the darkness of the upper floor it looked like a feminine figure, surrounded by tendrils. Some of them already where descending on the stairs and were visible for what they were: moving roots.
"Kunya?"
A childish voice and a cry that sounded like a question came from the shrouded figure.
Two vines descended out of the shadows, and were clearly moving toward the yawning shapeshifter, possibly to grab him.
"Aan-y kunn! Ua aa yuu?" was a cheery exclamation coming from above that accompanied those movements.

Since his eyes were already closed, it was Jack's enhanced hearing that saved him. He heard the childish cry and the rustling of vines. Reacting on instinct the lycan backed up out of range of the vines, his eyes opening to survey the environment. Nedless to say he was confused with what he saw. "Seems this place could use a gardener." He snarked as he took in the sight of the vines moving down towards him.
He cast his eyes back up to where the greenery was coming from and could make out a shape in the darkness. It looked to be a girl up there but he couldn't make out any details due to the darkness. He did notice that the tendrils were originating from the figure in the darkness.
"Yeah, I'm not going to get to sleep anytime soon." He let out with a groan. Backing away from the plant-girl, Jack held up both his hands in a placating gesture. "I don't know if you can understand me, but do you mind stopping with the whole nature going wild thing before I go grab a bag of weedkiller." He called out as he began to back away from the approaching vines, intent on heading back downstairs to find some help..... or a bag of the aforementioned weedkiller. Jack really didn't want to hurt the plant-girl. But he wasn't sure how intelligent it was. Judging by its incomprehensible cry when it first noticed the lycan it could have meant no harm and had the mentality of a child.
Plus he was exhausted from the long day and probably wouldn't be able put up much of a fight in his current state.

"Kunya?" the figure stepped forward, out of the darkness of the floor above and began descending the stairs.
A feminine figure was coming out of a large pink flower that was stuck in a large vase. From the vase, lots of roots allowed it to slowly move down.
The plant girl had a somewhat familiar face, vaguely resembling a younger Aya with curious red eyes that stared at Jack as she approached.

"Ananna an yu ann yuu! Kunn an auay!"
The girl extended her arms like she wanted to hug Jack, and her vines kept moving forward.
Her movement speed wasn't that menacing though, so the shapeshifter could easily step back to avoid her if he wanted.

"O.k then, someone wants the weedkiller treatment." Jack dryly stated as the vines continued to move towards him.
Now that he could get a better look at the girl's face he noticed that she looked a lot like the girl he had met earlier this evening. "Screw it, I'm far too tired to deal with this." He levelled a glare at the plant girl and pointed at the ground. "Stay here." He enunciated as clearly as he could, not sure how much the plant girl could understand him. He then turned on his heel and headed back downstairs, intent on finding and questioning the silver-haired girl.

He found her soon enough, having followed the lingering scent the girl had left behind. "Oi" He growled. "Mind explaining why my floor has turned into a jungle and why there's a plant that looks just like you." Jack wasn't usually this abrupt with others but he was reaching his breaking point. Partly out of tiredness and his inner beast was beginning to surface thanks to his earlier repeated transformations. Both of those factors have made him grumpy and irritable.
If anyone paid attention to the werewolf's eyes they would have noticed that they had changed colour. They were no longer their usual dark brown, in their place was a baleful yellow iris surrounded by black sclera.

"What!?"
Aya was alrmost out of the school gates, fearing the worst, when the familiar looking boy called her out and asked her a question about Amaranta.
Aya turned on her heels, a fluid motion of a far too collected person.
Good news: Amaranta was still in Yuki dorm. Bad news, she had something hard to explain.
"Apparently, my very special houseplant decided to go out for a walk"
Aya was too distant to really notice a change in eye color in the darkness. Nothing but a reflection her brain dismissed as a refraction from some distant lights.
Her thoughts ran at the eudaemon creature that apparently just began to roam.
And there she thought she had to stay put in her vase!
As she walked back to Yuki dorm, a frown appeared on her face.

When the girl stepped inside, Amaranta just made her way to the bottom of the stairs.
"Iiih!" A surprised gasp came from the young eudaemon at the sight of Aya, that simply stared at her by crossing her arms.
"Aya!" She added, her face assuming that of a little kid caught doing something she should not "Ananna an Ene un enn u e uun u ann a-a!"
The plant girl waved her arms in panic, in a clear 'wait' motion and turned toward the stairs she just came from, apparenly looking for something or someone that wasn't there.
Amaranta gasped a second time and appeared even more panicked.
Aya's expression didn't change at all. Taking a single deep breath, the tanned girl reached for her door and opened it. She then pointed at the room.

"Amaranta, go back inside." A flat order that the plant girl immediately followed, as fast as her very limited root speed allowed her to.
"Aya...unn y anny yn Ananna!"
She seem to beg for something, but Aya's face didn't even seem to aknowledge that.
Amaranta slowly dragged her vase back into Aya's room. Right on the door, she stopped to check the stairs for two long seconds and lowered her head down, finally entering inside.

Damn. If she was able to walk around, keeping her in the dorms could become a real problem. Especially when she was hungry and actively looking for meat.

"I wasn't aware we could keep pets in the dorm." Jack stated as he leaned against the wall behind Aya, having followed the girl from the gates. Now that he had a chance to calm down his eyes had reverted back to their natural brown colouration.

"Well now that the jungle has been cleared from upstairs, I can finally get some freaking sleep." He let out a yawn to emphasise how tired he was. "Thanks for taking care of your..... plant-girl-thing." He walked past Aya and paused before ascending the stairs. He looked back at her and shifted uncomfortably, rubbing the back of his neck. "Umm my name's Jack by the way. Sorry about growling at you earlier." He turned back towards the stairs and began to ascend them. "Goodnight then, I guess I'll see you around." He said, as he waved the girl goodbye.

"Oh yeah, you were one of the guys on the beach, that's where I saw you already" Aya finally managed to remember where he saw him already.
"Ayaaaa!" Amaranta called from her room, moaning. What could she possibly want?
"Well... see you around" the tanned girl said, heading inside to see what the eudaemon wanted.

If Jack really thought he could get to sleep soon, he was wrong.
In a similar scene as before, atop the stairs stood a feminine figure in the darkness. Dual layered eyes stared at him, with a wide grin on her face.
The dark complexion kinda accentuated those features, as the dark of the room above hid her features.
"Oh, look, the window jumper" a somewhat amused tone came from that mouth "Going to bed already?"
An arm moved to wave the long hair the figure had as it began to descend the stairs below. Red skin, green and gold eyes and long flowing mint hair. Heleth Mastema gave Jack a friendly smile.
The demon wore a white shirt and a pair of short pants. Her silver and gold armlets and anklets tingled as she descended.
"Amaranta just wanted to see if you're edible" she stated "She said you smell tasty"

Jack's face didn't change when he heard Heleth call out to him. He again reacted on instinct and brought his snark to bear against the demon, as he was fed up with these interruptions to his sleep. In fact if anyone looked at his irises the might see a touch of yellow in them. "Good to know, I take great pride in my edibleness, it's rather flattering to know that I smell good as well as look good." He held his hand up to his chin as if in thought. "It is nice to know we can keep pets in the dorm though." He took a moment to imagine what would happen if Amaranta had managed capture him in her tendrils. Meh he would most likely transform and end up causing a large amount of property damage, so he was glad the situation ended amicably.

He noticed that Heleth was descending the stairs towards him. Letting out a small sigh Jack questioned the demon. "Look, is there something you want from me? Or can I just go to bed?
He would never admit it, but the girl wearing the friendly smile somehow unnerved him more than the plant demon that apparently wanted to eat him earlier.

"Do I?"
The short demon looked surprised before smiling again. Her fangs were visible behind her lips "No, I don't need anything from you, I'm merely passing by"
That said, she passed beside him, a tingle from her accessories at every step.
"I'm not sure you'd taste that good though" she observed "Don't misunderstand, it's not like I plan on eating you anytime soon, it's just an observation!"

"Ene eyn y ua ukey! Ananna yn nukin ann!"
From Aya's room a loud complaint could be heard. Heleth sighed and decided to ignore jack, trotting downstairs and reaching the door of Aya's room.
"She's right" she said loudly "I said it was okay to follow me upstairs. She wanted to see the stars and I accompanied her to the roof to see them"
The demon said it casually
"Nobody said she had to spend her life in your room, and she ate nobody, so no big deal, right?"
"Ananna yn-n eak anyun! Ananna uk uanne ku kanne ke kanny kuy!" the plant added.
Heleth smiled widely, and glanced back at the shapeshifter on the stairs.
"She really wanted to see if you were tasty though. Looks like she likes you"
