Kazuma was stumped on what to teach the students today, he wanted to just test them on various dishes, but he wanted to make sure that all the students would enjoy each others cooking. He was just going have the students make a variety of chicken when a small box from the top of the freezer fell on his head.

Inside the box were a variety of cards and a small note that said "Flavor Enhancing Cards." Hyakuji had some strange things he had seen, so he decided to take this one at face value. After setting up everything up in the students cooking section he went back to the kitchen to try out one of the cards on a plate of fried rice he had whipped up...

If one were to walk into the Cafeteria this day for class they wouldn't find Kazuma running around setting up ingredients, instead they would find a chalk board and a set of strange looking cards. On the board were the instructions "Make any dish you like to the best of your ability. Once done place a card on the dish and enjoy."

If they listened carefully they would just be able to make out some strange sounds in one of the freezer, but the sound was more than likely to be though of as the freezer just doing what it does.

Inside the freezer was none other than Kazuma, and what could only be described as a plate of fried rice with a body! If someone were to look inside the freezer they would see him fending off a giant spoon with a coconut...many many coconuts.

What is this thing?
"Ahh yes cooking, gonna enjoy this class." Jack giggled to himself as he was the first to arrive at the cafeteria for cooking class, enraptured by the idea of a class solely devoted to food.
He looked at the instructions on the chalkboard. "Nice, make anything we want." He grinned. "Steak it is then." He continued giggling as he retrieved the necessary ingredients. "Wait." He paused. "Steak mightn't be inventive enough. Oh I know I'll try that Miso Steak recipe I saw online, now how did it go again." He muttered to himself pulling out the extra ingredients he needed from the fridge.
While he was preparing his dish he thought he heard a banging noise from inside the freezer, but he dismissed it as the freezer itself being faulty.
He picked up one of the cards, inspecting it "Flavour enhancing cards? Huh interesting." Placing the card in his pocket planning to use it later he got to work on his dish, planning to cook the steak medium-rare.

"Ohayo... mrh?" Misora's monotonous greeting was cut short as she shuffled into the cafeteria where they were set to have cooking classes, only to find that the teacher was not around. Instead, there was a chalk board with a set of handwritten instructions presumably left behind by the teacher and a set of strange-looking cards, instructing the students to make any dish to the best of their ability, then place a card on the dish once done.

"Flavor enhancing cards... how do those things even work...?" The copper-haired girl wondered as she picked up one of the cards, scrutinizing it with a puzzled expression as she remembered how to work her facial muscles to make the expression. "All right... here goes nothing..." Misora remarked as she slipped the card into the pocket of her blazer for later use. But first things first, the dish of her making?

Deciding to get a little more creative this time, rather than going for Japanese home favorites, Misora decided to experiment with a foreign dish, consulting a recipe she'd picked at random, and said recipe was for a Moroccan Lentil Soup.

First of all, hygiene first! Before she even got around to handling the ingredients, the half-zombie would first thoroughly wash her hands at the sink with antibacterial handwash, before tying on an apron and brushing her bangs aside, before wrapping up her head with a cloth headwrap to prevent any hair from accidentally falling onto the food she was preparing.

Once she was confident that her initial food preparation hygiene measures were satisfactory, then did the half-zombie proceed to the food storages to fetch the necessary ingredients. "Mrh...?" the half-zombie moaned in surprise as she noticed how one of the freezers next to the one she was taking ingredients from sounded weird, but decided to brush it off as just the compressor running.

Dirtman was a better cook than one had any right to expect of a man with so little taste. He had a talent for following directions though and that was probably more important to cooking than having a refined palette. As such it was hard to deal with a direction like make whatever you want. He didn't have a strongly favored ingredient or dish.

As opposed to the zombie there was no way for Dirtman to scrub himself clean so he simply got straight to it and went to the freezer, intending to take some variety of meat and cook it in a way that satisfied him.

Seeing Kazuma engaged in battle he didn't give it the slightest thought and instead took a frozen ham from a shelf, leaving Kazuma alone in the freezer like there was nothing awry about what was going on. After all Dirtman didn't have much experience cooking but he understood it often involved a fight.

Much like his own pranks, for Gideon, cooking was his own brand of exact science. He decided to make a dish from a well known cuisine, French cuisine, however, as was usual with the boy, he would pull out one of the stranger looking and tasting dishes in the menu. Initially wanting to make an onion soup, he was surprised when he found the ingredients necessary to make Escargots à la Bourguignonne.

To get the savoury taste without the alcohol he did not have access to, Gideon added balsamic vinegar and vegetable stocking instead of white wine and cognac. The recipe was surprisingly simple, he just added the flavor card and put the plate into the oven, heating it up.

Afterwards he walked back to his table, and looked around whether there was anyone else that felt like doing something in the meantime.

"Anyone up for an exchange dish testing?"

He spoke moderately loudly, hoping that someone nearby would answer to his query

---

Legends speak of food so bad that it makes people go blue and unconscious within seconds of eating it. Of chefs so careless that they could accept anything within their dishes.

All of those legends underestimated the girl that had been mixing caramel with crab, ranch dressing soy sauce, and what seemed to be veal, but could have been just about anything. Carol kept on adding random ingredients as well as copious amounts of salt to her dish, eventually culminating in something that barely fit into the pot where she'd heat everything.

"KREUUUUUUS DROOOOOP!"

The act of her putting in the contents of the flavour card into the pot suspiciously sounded like the move of a character in a fighting game. the pot kept on boiling, but thankfully it did not seem as if it was going to explode soon.

Artemis happily waited in the cafeteria, waiting for the teacher to come in and inform them of their studies today. When she came in earlier, she noticed the chalk board with writing on it but decided she'd cool down for a bit in the cafeteria after a quick morning jog. After having cooled down, Artemis went to pick up a "flavor enhancing card" and took it with her to one of the cooking areas. She'd toss it down before heading back up to grab some ingredients, Artemis knowing well what she should make. "Cookies!" Artemis said aloud to herself, "Gooey chocolate chip cookies that melt in your mouth~" She was quite excited, grabbing everything she needed from the flour to the chips. That's right, she was even going to make her own dough with its own special flavor of love.

---------

Meanwhile, coming in about a minute into the class, Valentine fixed her collar on her uniform. She couldn't believe she still had to go to class despite being the founder of a growing company, though she still did live in the dorm despite wanting to not go to classes. Noticing the chalkboard with writing on it, Valentine began to read what it said and sighed. "Alright then, I will cook whatever and get this over with," Valentine said, grabbing three flavor cards since she'd probably need them.

Valentine ended up grabbing random ingredients with no intention of making anything proper. Valentine began mixing everything in a bowl, grinding and smashing and blending everything together. "I guess I should add some ice cubes to make it a frozen drink," Valentine thought aloud, starting to make her way to the freezers. She then began hearing noises from a nearby freezer, opening it and finding Kazuma wrestling with some oddity. "I know it is hot outside but the freezer is meant for perishable foods," Valentine stated after grabbing a handful of ice cubes and slamming the freezer door. She then made her way back to her little section, dumping the ice cubes in and blending it together once again before placing all three flavor enhancing cards on them. "Let us see what we get," Valentine said, watching the mixture with boredom.

... Well, this was certainly going to be an interesting class for Matt. The last time he had been in a kitchen had been a well over a century ago, and that was just a little bit before he had a castle collapse on top of him, and having his eye burned out by a very angry woman coated in lava. On top of that, he didn't even really have to eat anymore, so cooking wasn't really something he did in his day-to-day life anyways.

So to say that his cooking skills were rusty was an understatement. Matt didn't even recognize most of the equipment present in the room, much less have any recipes in mind. So he'd be forced to do something that he really, really hated doing: Ask for help. And seeing as there was no teacher in the class, that meant that he'd have to get the aid of one of the students in here as well.

He would looked concerned as he steeled himself to ask one of them... When he noticed that the teacher was apparently trapped in the... Metal box thing that some of the students kept going in to. He would promptly walk on over to the freezer, and open it up to the view of the teacher fighting with... something. Honestly, it wasn't that strange at this point, considering the handful of other things he had seen so far. He'd clear his throat politely to try and get the man's attention.

"'Scuse me. Think I could possibly ask ye for a bit o' assistence? I'm... Well, quite frankly, though I hate ta admit it, my cookin' is about a century out of practice, and I don't even know what most o' the stuff in here does. Think ye can help me out?" ... It was like he didn't even care that his teacher was fending off a spoon-armed plate of fried rice with nothing more than coconuts.

Jason stumbled into class right before the late bell. He dreaded being late to his first class after finally moving into Hyakuji and getting settled. He was glad he made it in on time. He decided to wake up bright and early to get acquainted with his new school and its...

"Is that guy made of DIRT!?", Jason said, interrupting his own train of thought as he marveled in what appeared to be a man made completely of dirt.

Woah! Things got freaking cool real quick here, didn't they? As J pondered the pros and cons of being made of dirt, he found himself fluttering over to the dirt man unconsciously. He was one to get lost in his own train of thought very easily and this of course was of no exception. He scratched his chin in thought, quickly making his way past the other students and into the freezer with the dirt guy before another sight to behold snapped him out of his daydreams.

"WHAT IN THE...!?", Jason exclaimed in shock as a...food monster was battling a man with giant spoon as the dirt guy just grabbed a ham and excited the freezer as if nothing happened.

A young woman did the same thing with ice cubes and J just stood their in shock that this was apparently a "normal" day in Hyakuji. He heard stories but nothing would have prepared him for something like this. Was he to help the man battling the fried rice? Or do what the other students have done and just get back to the class' task at hand? He didn't want to perform poorly for his first day of class but he also couldn't just stand by and watch a man get destroyed by deliciousness.

"I'll help you mister!", J shouted as he picked up frozen pieces of meat and flew up into the freezer before beginning his aerial meat assault.

Well...at least this school seemed more interesting then his last.

Brushing past Matthew, Jack walked into the the freezer not really paying attention to his surroundings and asked out loud "Sir you wouldn't happen to know if we have any........sriracha sauce..." Jack's sentence trailed off at the end as he noticed that his teacher was currently holding off some kind of food monster with coconuts.

Connecting the dots in his head the lycan deduced that the flavour enhancing cards were responsible for the walking food.
Not saying a word to anyone as he moved past Matthew and the new arrival Jason. Jack retrieved a large T-bone steak from the freezer and moved over to a more secluded area of the kitchen, ignoring his already nearly finished dish in favour of his new project.

He cooked his steak until it was medium rare and placed one of the provided cards over it. He backed up and waited for the card to take affect. He licked his lips in anticipation, he briefly considered taking his wolf form in order to fight his creation, but decided against it assuming it would violate several health codes.
Jack grinned and stood back from his creation, nails already transformed into claws in order to better fight and then eat the anthropomorphic steak.

"Excuse me... but I'm trying to concentrate on my work here..." Misora droned at the commotion caused by the fight between Kazuma and the anthropomorphic plate of fried rice, her pale blue eyes remaining transfixed on her ingredients. First were the items that needed some additional preparation beforehand - namely the garlic, onions and ginger.

Picking up a chopper from the knife rack, the half-zombie got to work by first peeling the onions and garlic before chopping the onion into fine dices, similar in consistency to the diced onions used in onion rings. Next came the garlic, as the girl placed the peeled cloves of garlic into a blender, setting it at high speed to turn the whole garlic cloves into a fine mince.

This was next followed by the carrots and celery, which the half-zombie diced for later use in the soup, setting it aside together with the lentils and opened cans of garbanzo beans, cannellini beans and diced tomatoes.

Lastly came the ginger - first cutting a chunk of ginger root needed to make a teaspoonful of grated ginger, Misora would next proceed to pick up a peeler to careful pare off the root's outer skin, before running it over the grater to produce enough grated ginger to fill a teaspoon.

"Am I getting this right...?" Misora wondered as she grabbed a large pot, placing it on the stove before proceeding to saute the onion, garlic and ginger for about five minutes in a small amount of olive oil, taking care to keep the fire low lest she reach the relatively low smoke point of olive oil.

The one and only.
Rex was the latest addition to the classroom. He walked in, immediately wanting to get started, noticing the classroom was lively with everyone doing their own thing. "Make any dish you like to the best of your ability. Once done place a card on the dish and enjoy." those were simple enough instructions, but a card? oh, the teacher meant the ones on the chalk board. "Flavor card..cool." Rex said to himself, then put it in his pocket for later. "But what the hell am I supposed to make? I thought the point would be to learn this shit.." he said in annoyance. He could just make something stupidly simple then. It then occurred to him that he hadn't ever made anything that wasn't prepackaged and had instructions on the back of the box. He'd never been in a situation that made him cook for himself without everything prepackaged or other people. Ever. "Ah, screw it." To hell with it all, it was just one class. He went over to where all of the commotion was going over near the freezer. He took a peak in as Matt held it open. "Huh, the teacher's in there." Rex blinked, it not occurring to him to do anything. "Yo, Sensei! the hell you doin' in there, man? teach me how to cook things so I can cook things so I can pass this class. I haven't learned any recipes yet. Quit messing around in there!!" Rex stood next to Matt, ignoring the giant living fried rice with a spoon. Someone else in there was fighting now too.

Sayo debted her limited options as she picked up a ‘flavor card’ as instructed on the chalkboard. It was another assessment and not a learning class this time. This is tricky as Sayo have not picked up any cooking skill or knowledge so far and leaving her clueless on what to make. The last assessment she ‘cheated’ by making cereal, the TA still accepted but she felt it didn’t qualified. Not wanting to remake the same thing as last time, she went online and searched ‘easiest recipe to make’.

After looking through a few sites, Sayo found one that she was confident to follow and the it seemed simple enough: Cheese Sandwich. The website looked reliable and the steps were short and to the point.

Sayo move through the busy students for her ingredients. Wait. She need to wash her hands first, the instruction said so. Already she almost messed up, cooking isn’t as easy as she thought it’s going to be.

Ethan was relieved that, once again, they had an easy assignment for cooking. In fact, he was feeling better and better about Cooking class each and every time. No more battling raptors or vegetables or specters or whatever, just actual cooking.

'Alright, I guess I can make bread again. Since that's the only thing I can make.'

After the boy was done with the pre-baking steps, he tossed the bun into the oven and waited for it to be done. After a while, he thought he heard something in the freezer.

'Hm...sounds like normal freezer sounds, but that definitely means that it isn't a normal freezer sound. However, does that mean I should investigate it? Or not? I mean, for all I know, a frozen zombie could be in there. Hmm...'

While the boy was thinking of what to do, it seemed like a few other students had already gathered around the suspicious freezer. Figuring that it was probably nothing dangerous, Ethan decided to step closer and see what was going on.

What was going on was decidedly...something he had no idea of, which was pretty rare considering. Panicking, the boy ran to the front of the class and started waving his hands frantically towards the freezer. Eventually he wrote a few words on the board:

[FOOD FIGHT IN THE FREEZER!]

With the first step of making the dish proper done, Misora would then proceed to add the remaining ingredients to the pot - water, lentils, chickpeas, white kidney beans, diced tomatoes, carrots and celery. This was then followed by the spices - cayenne peppers, cumin, cardamom, and Garam Masala, gently stirring as she brought the contents of the pot to boil; which didn't take long really, but then came the next step of turning down the heat, to let the contents simmers for around an hour - or an hour and a half, or whatever it takes for the lentils to become soft.

"Come to think of it... it's kind of scary... first attempt at a foreign dish..." the half-zombie muttered as she placed a lid over the pot after turning down the heat to let its content simmer - no doubt a time-consuming process compared to the initial preparations. "Food fight...?" the copper-haired girl wondered at the sight of the raised sign.

"Boys will be boys..." Misora shook her head slowly as she just pulled out a nearby chair to sit down, while checking the timer app on her phone.

Selene put her apron on and looked at the various ingredients available to her. It was her first day at Hyakuji and she didn't want to outdo her seniors. 'Maybe a simple dish?' she thought to herself. 'Mmm but I should make enough for later and I'd hate to miss an opportunity to practice cooking.'

She fretted over what to cook for a few more minutes before deciding on a simple batch of cheesecake brownies. And what luck! There was just enough time to make them if she worked fast.

Quickly preheating the oven, she set a pan on the stove and broke up some chocolate to melt, adding a little softened butter. While it was melting, she beat some cream cheese in a bowl until it was soft, then added sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla.

At that point, the chocolate had melted, so Selene switched her attention over to the chocolate, adding in sugar and vanilla. After a few minutes of whisking, she took it off the heat and beat in the eggs one at a time. Next she added flour and finally a handful of nuts. The head of her mixing spatula gleamed softly as she stirred in the nuts, completely unseen in the depths of the chocolate. When she set it down to turn her attention to the cheesecake mix, the spatula had stopped glowing.

To the cheesecake batter, she now added some flour and eggs, being sure to mix them together thoroughly. When she had finished, she poured the brownie batter into a greased pan and leveled it with the back of a spoon. Then she added the cheese cake batter,, giving it a marbled look by drawing a knife through both layers, adding a bit more magic to the batter as she did so.

Into the oven it went, only to come out 40 minutes later. Selene used a toothpick to check if it had baked long enough and was satisfied. She walked over to the fridge and opened the door, placing it inside.

It was at that moment that she heard a strange sound coming from the nearby freezer. "is someone there?" she asked, walking over to the freezer. In her mind, she was remembering the time her mother had gotten locked in the freezer after the door had shut on her. 'It is probably nothing, but... I see no harm in checking...'

Selene reached out and opened the door, letting out a gasp at the sight of the teacher locked in battle with a plate of fried rice. "Oh my goddess! Hang on, I'll get some help! Or maybe a pair of chopsticks!" she exclaimed.

She ran back to the others and pointed at the freezer. "Someone help! The teacher is being attacked by a side dish!"
