Standing outside the warehouse Dawn was plagued with doubts, she had to do this to get stronger and give herself proof that she was doing the right thing but still her mind was clouded with questions and doubts. Was she really doing the right thing? Was she strong enough? Did they really deserve what was about to happen? Shaking these thoughts out of her head she looked around the corner, stupidly enough one of them seemed to have left a door wide open. Walking in as if with the cold wind she made her way through the door silently, the sound of chanting made it's way to her ears along with the crying sobs of someone. "This is bad, I didn't know someone else would be here." Dawn silently thought to herself as she continued to move, carefully making sure that she didn't give herself away. As she made her way towards the sound it, predictably got louder but not just because of proximity but also the chanting was raising in volume. When she reached the noise glancing out from behind a box she was shocked. There was a group of robed people surrounding what seemed to be several glyphs on the ground surrounding a bound woman lying on the ground crying. Dawn counted 6 robed people, she wasn't sure how she'd go about it and sat behind the crates trying to formulate a plan. |

Perhaps Dawn hadn't been planning to run into the robed figures, but Rikina certainly had. Hiding behind perhaps a more conveniently located crate, the dark elf held her knives, going over what she planned to execute. Her only regret was that Kell had other business to attend to that night. Peeking out from behind the crate, she identified who was leading the chant. Clearly the cult leader or head priest. She made the final alterations to her plan, and decided it was time to excute him. She leaped from behind the crate, moving at 20 miles per hour. She didn't have super speed, per say, but her speed was about a few times the human average. She hoped to catch the head cultist, and quite literally stab him in the back. |

The plan that Dawn was making would never come to fruition as she witnessed a young girl which she recognized from an earlier instant. One in particular that involved zombie ninjas, if she remembered right she was quite the brutal fighter which was proven right as she went straight for the cultists. Aiming straight for one of their backs. The cultist that was heading the chant suddenly stopped as he looked behind him to see the knives sticking in his back, falling over to the ground as his back burned in pain. The knives weren't dealing as much damage as they should've been but they hurt like all hell. Seeing this the other cultists picked up the pace of their chanting to make up for their brother who had fallen and couldn't continue. The bound girl in the middle was staring shocked at the event happening in front of her. Running out herself Dawn conjured two crystalline shards and sent them flying towards a cultist. Lodging themselves in the cultist's side they fell down on the ground bleeding profusely. "Quick, deal with the others." Dawn shouted to Rikina, they were clearly playing with some dangerous magic here and Dawn had to attempt to stop it. What she didn't notice however was the blood from her opponent had begun to slowly make it's way around the circle of glyphs on the ground of it's own accord. "We can't let them finish the spell." She spoke, whatever they were doing it had to be stopped now. |

"Aw, standing still for meeeeee? That's so thoughtful!" she told them. She was a bit sad to see that she'd have to take care of them quickly, but keeping the civvies safe came first. Ruthless as she could be towards evil, she still ultimately did it to keep the world safe from evil. She saw Dawn show up, "Yay, reinforcements!" Rikina cheered, in a voice not at all appropriate for the gravity of the situation "You're right, we gotta act fast!" Rikina didn't know much about magic; most of her own powers were more focused on psionics. Speaking of her psionics, Rikina attempted to influence three of the remaining cultists, although not the one she was targeting. She was hoping that if she could terrify them, she could end their incantation, or at least make it more difficult for them "Ahahaha! Oh, silly cultists! Did you honestly think in a city like this, someone wouldn't find out. Now, I don't know what silly little dark god you worship, but it's time for you to meet him, tickets courtesy of my daggers!" The cultists seemed to falter in their chanting at the strange psionics affected them, they seemed to not chant as fast but they still were chanting. Occasionally one or two of them would trip over their words and backpedal a few words to try and remedy what they were doing during the chant. It seemed like the chant wasn't one that had to be done correctly the first time which made the situation all the more dangerous. Dawn took note of them cultists, they seemed like they weren't planning on stopping any time soon. "ENOUGH." She shouted conjuring 6 of the shards and sending them flying into the remaining cultists. Impaling themselves into the cultists they spat out a few more words before falling down to the ground. Taking a breath she calmed herself down. "That was close, I almost thought they were going to succeed." She looked towards Rikina and smiled. "Good work." She nodded towards the girl. Turning towards the bound woman she finally noticed something. The glyphs surrounding the woman were filled with the cultist's blood. "No...." She spoke quietly, realizing the true nature of the ritual. "NO DAMN IT." She rushed forward but to late, the blood rushed to the rooftop in a spiral surrounding the bound woman, pushing Dawn and Rikina back with a wave of force that rattled the building. The screams of the poor woman echoed around the building. Eventually the blood dissipated into nothingness along with the cultists. In place of the woman now sat a creature turning what would be called it's head left and right it settled on the two girls. "Why have I been summoned?" Edited by Shadies, Jul 5 2014, 08:35 AM.

Rikina smiled as she saw her reinforcement finish the remaining ones off at once. She shouted "Ooh, nice job!" Rikina wasn't terribly skilled at AoE attacks, and briefly considered learning one before Dawn pointed out that the ritual hadn't ceased yet "Oh, crap!" Rikina moved forward to stop the demon, but she was too late; the demon had been summoned, which was now in place of the woman. It looked rather intimidating. Rikina might have liked to stab it, but she wasn't exactly sure if she and dawn could handle it, at least without reinforcements. Maybe, for once, it was better to try to talk it down. "I don't know. Actually, the jerks who decided to bother you are dead now, so you won't have to put up with them." she told the demon, in a surprisingly nonchalant tone "Anyways, you can go home now, and torment the souls of the damned... or whatever it is you usually did." Honestly, if he was a bit grumpy because his tormenting stuff was interrupted, she could totally understand. Tormenting and torturing the souls of evil-doers sounded like a good time to her! |

"I see." Hearing Rikina's answer the creature spoke, it didn't seem annoyed or angry. If anything it seemed curious, after Rikina had suggested that it simply returned home it thought for a few silent moments. "That can't happen." The voice while powerful didn't seem aggressive. Curious and a bit scared of the creature before them Dawn raised her voice. "Why not?" If the creature decided to stay she was wondering if her and Rikina could do anything to stop it. After all it seemed like it was some strong magic that had bought the entity into their world. Spells that required that many people as well as a sacrifice that large were often incredibly powerful. This creature being summoned from it meant that it could very easily be beyond both Dawn and Rikina's strength, solving this problem diplomatically seemed like the best method to go. "I can't return home." The voice resounded, the creature did not understand why it was such a hard statement to grasp. "I have been bought here from my world." The creature once again looked around, the world around it seemed to be different at the very least. "The door has been shut." The creature spoke, focusing it's eyes back onto Dawn and Rikina. It currently had no purpose in this world and no way back to it's own, it was trapped in the reality that those beings called their home. |

Rikina was glad she wasn't going to have to fight this. But she didn't exactly know how to send him home either: Rikina was psychic, not a mage. She felt pretty sorry for the demon, considering it seemed to be trapped though. She actually gave him a fairly sympathetic look, before saying "Soooo... how do we send you home then?" she asked. Rikina looked towards Dawn, and told her "I don't suppose you know a banishing spell. He might be powerful, but 'send you back from whence you came' might work a bit better if they don't resist, right?" It made enough sense to her; a lot of the difficulty in a banishing spell probably wasn't so much simply casting it as making it powerful enough to affect the target. Rikina walked over to the head cultist, and checked his robes for pockets. Maybe there was like some reversal spell there, you know, in case the guy they were trying to summon get ticked off at them. She wasn't entirely sure, really. It was worth a look at least. |

Dawn shook her head when Rikina asked for a banishment spell. "Nothing like that would work, I'm not even sure where his home is, makes it almost impossibly hard to banish something when you don't know it's destination." This was really a problem, they couldn't exactly let the creature go after all for all they knew it could go on a mass killing spree. There was also the fact that the creature kind of gave off a bad aura considering what it appeared like. Rikina's search of the cultist would prove unfruitful, it didn't seem like there was anything there apart from a ceremonial dagger, one would assume that it was what they would've used to cause the ritual if both Dawn and Rikina hadn't intervened. "I have to fill a contract." The creature's voice echoed again, it seemed like the creature had just realized something. "I was summoned to perform a task, even if the task changes from what was originally planned I must complete a task before I can be freed." It seemed like the only way that could send the demon back was to enter into an agreement with it. Dawn raised her head towards the creature, something as powerful as this could help her a lot in her hunt for revenge. It seemed like a golden opportunity, however she couldn't come across as a psychotic person so she had to play it carefully. "You say a contract, what would that entail?" She inquired curiously, it seemed like she actually wanted to form a contract with the creature. "Whoever forms the contract with me is bound with me, I will exist within them and when their task comes to fruition, I will perform what is required." "Would you be able to make a contract with me?" It seemed like Dawn would be willing to make a contract with this creature, if it ended up helping her get revenge against her farther then the ends justified the means, no matter the cost involved. |

"Interesting." Rikina thought. She didn't seem to have a look of worry or warning on her face, although her expression wasn't one of indifference. It was one of observation, analysis, and thoughtfulness. To say that Rikina held an 'ends justify the means' mentality was almost an understatement. Most people who made deals with demons likely were morally bankrupt. Dawn, however, seemed reasonably upstanding. This made Rikina rather curious as to how far that mentality went, and whether it applied to criminal. Rikina said nothing and would not intervene. She was curious, and wanted to see where this was headed. She hoped, in the end, to learn a bit more about Dawn's mindset. Edited by Tzauri, Jul 15 2014, 12:21 AM.

"Yes." The voice boomed off the walls of the location, it seemed like the creature had no problems with it and Rikina didn't voice any either. More and more often the world seemed to be telling her what she wanted was okay, a smile crossed Dawn's face. Finally a way to get her father, to pay him back for the hell that he had put her through. With this she'd be so close to being able to deal with him. "Step forward and state your terms." The voice echoed as a slight wind began to blow, it seemed like the creature had begun the ritual. Obeying the creature's instructions Dawn stepped forward towards the creature. "The death of my father." She'd gotten so close to the ability to actually achieve her goal. "Acceptable." "Allow me to see the world through your eyes until then, I will be but a guest in your body. Do I have your consent?" She wasn't sure how having the creature inside her would be, it seemed like it was part of the contract though and she would be willing to house such a being if it meant that her father would pay. Besides it seemed the creature wanted to complete it's task then to go home. "Yes." Suddenly filled with the knowledge of how to complete the ritual, Dawn summoned a shard of crystal and cut her palm with it, blood began to drip onto the ground and magic flowed through the air, the ritual was starting to take effect. |

Rikina observed that her ally had set a rather interesting condition: the death of her father. Patricide typically wasn't exactly a noble goal... but why exactly did he want him dead? Most families, after all, loved each other. While she didn't exactly care for how he always buckled to criminals, Rikina still loved her own father dearly. Rikina was perfectly aware though that this relationship could be marred for some families. Kell's abusive family came to mind first. If Kell ever wanted her father dead, she'd be happy to assist. At any rate, she didn't bother interfering with Dawn completing the ritual. Had the woman still been alive at this point, Rikina would have made every effort to stop it. The poor woman's life had already been snuffed out. Rikina might have two incredibly sharp objections to villainous murderers, but Dawn hadn't killed the woman; she was merely taking advantage of the tragedy for a greater good. If anything, Rikina's logic would have concluded that Dawn's actions meant the woman's loss wasn't completely in vain, and that something good would come from it. |

The ritual began to work, the blood on the ground began to glow and Dawn felt herself being lifted up off of the ground. Looking at the creature's eyes she nodded silently, she had to admit that she was somewhat surprised at her accomplice's lack of reaction towards her goal but then again she was running around murdering cultists as well. It was hardly suprising when one thought about it, she probably recognized that her goals had some logical reasoning to it. When the ritual began to approach it's apex a large flash of light signaled it's conclusion. After a few seconds the light would dissipate and Dawn would be standing there. Walking towards Rikina she nodded. "Thank you for not interfering." She was thankful that she managed to get this advantage without having to fight for it. "So, this is what you mortals see." The voice came out of Dawn but it was not her own, she blinked in suprise. "You can talk in there?" She began to nod to herself, this would be looking exceptionally strange to Rikina, she was talking to herself after all and even reacting to it. "Yes, I can use your body to communicate." Dawn's face changed quickly to shock, why did she make this deal. This could lead to some really bad circumstances. |

Rikina smiled when she heard her "You're welcome~" she told her "Well, you're a good person. Sometimes, good people have to do things that might be frowned upon publicly, to get their goals done. After all, the bad guys don't play by any rules. Why should we?" Rikina was starting to think it was about time to talk to Kell about involving Dawn in their little enterprise. The dark elf was a bit startled when Dawn's body spoke in the voice of the demon. She simply did not expect that, although she supposed the demon would have gotten rather bored otherwise. Well, it could be problematic, although she'd wait to see what to make of it. Rikina looked towards Dawn, and asked "Um... are you feeling okay about this still?" she asked. She understood why it was happening, but not sure how Dawn was feeling. |

"How would I be okay with this?" Dawn spoke frustrated at the current situation, she had simply assumed that the creature would lay dormant until the time that she needed it came. What else could it do apart from speaking through her, could it also control her. She wasn't sure what the creature was capable of and that scared her a bit, would it end up trying to wrest control of her body from her? She was starting to regret making the contract, the only thing giving her solace is the fact that the creature gave her the chance to confront her farther. "You made the contract, that was a declaration of you accepting this." The creature spoke through Dawn, it did make it obvious that it wanted to see through mortal eyes and the fact that the girl was complaining now. It was completely mind boggling for the creature, it couldn't grasp it's mind around the girl's sudden change. Unfortunately the girl had already made the contract so there was no way of undoing it until it was complete. "Shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up." Dawn repeated several times growing in volume slightly each time. After collecting herself she stood up and tidied herself up. It wouldn't do any good to get so frustrated over something that couldn't be undone. "Really though, what am I supposed to do now?" Dawn continued muttering to herself quietly. "Now I can barely do anything normal." She seemed to be muttering to herself about complaints before her head shot up. "I would suggest not mentioning this to anyone beyond what is necessary." It was clear this time that it wasn't Dawn speaking to Rikina. "People may misunderstand that it was a mutual contract." The creature was sure that its host was capable of defending itself but why attract a fight when it was unneeded. "Do you understand?" Dawn's hand rose to meet her chin as she waited for a response. |
