The man's body fell to the ground in front of her. "Tsk." It seemed like they showed absolutely 0 hesitation in firing upon their clan member if they were in the way. At least they showed a grim determination to see their orders through, Serenity had to mentally compliment them on that.

They were fast running out of cards in this game, Serenity thought of a way to get out of the situation and unless Sayo's driver made his entrance soon there were very few avenues left to take. Serenity sighed and stood tall, there was still one way of attempting to get out. Through the act of intimidating the guards down, in this situation it was unlikely to actually work but that was their only real method of being able to buy time.

"If you do take us back up their against our wishes, you'll earn the ire of The Court." Serenity took a step forward dropping the knive, she was unarmed now so it was highly unlikely that they would shoot her again hopefully. "If you do that then you can kiss anyone you cared about goodbye, family, loved ones, friends, everyone." She spoke in a commanding voice, intimidation was all about how one acted as well as played on a specific fear. "The Ishii clan will be suffering their wrath the question is, Do you want to join the downfall of the Ishii Clan, or will you take the opportunity to walk away from this."

She waited for the guard's response, it wasn't a lie. She was going to report this to The Court and they were most likely going to deal with the clan. Currently though it was to be used as either a way to get them out of the building or to stall time for Sayo's driver to intervene and give Serenity an opening.

The guards were clearly confusing, unsure glances exchanged at each other. None of them want to be responsible for the downfall of their clan. The closest one, clearly the head guard, was undeterred. “We don’t know who The Court is and we don’t care. Ishii-sama’s wish is our priority. Not words of a little girl.”

He gestured for the rest of the guards to physically restrain Sayo and Serenity. As they moved toward them, bright headlights shone from the front door. They looked to it’s sources, shielding their eyes from the blinding lights. Suddenly a car crashed through the glasses doors.

Sayo turned away as shards of glass scatter everywhere. Men instantly fired at the vehicle but it took no damage. The car hit half of the guards then swerved around and hitting the rest of the guards. She saw a clearing and grabbed Serenity’s hand and ran for the car. It was hard to making a fast break with traditional sandals and she was in the verge of slipping a couple times. Truly unsightly. She opened the car door and jumped in. “Good work, Untensha. Go to the hospital.”

“I’ve already informed your local hospital to be prepared for a patient.” Once Serenity was in, the driver would make his escape.

It was unfortunate, she had given them the option to save the people whom she cared about but they turned away from it. It seemed like the Court's Vengeance would be reaching rather long this time around. Normally if she mentioned situations like these there would be specific people who would get spared, so far only their nice human shield got that bargain as far as she could tell.

Just in time to save them from getting taken away Sayo's driver made his entrance it was quite a fancy one at that knocking out all the guards. Quickly moving she made her way over to one of the knocked over guards, picking up his firearm and following Sayo into the car. With one arm out of order and her powers pretty much used up for the night she would need some other form of conventional firepower and it was oh so luckily supplied to her.

"Can't say I'm disappointed to leave that place behind." Serenity said as she relaxed, the job was technically over. She had protected Sayo during the event, since they were leaving now the job could be considered over. "Did a couple of good numbers on me, I'll give them credit for that." She sighed leaning back into the seats of the limo resting her arm. "You are okay? Right?" This time the question was a bit more friendly, rather then simply ticking a checklist Serenity was actually worried about Sayo's wellbeing.

Sayo eased into her chair, glad to leave that place. “They were a violent bunch. I can’t imagine how they’re going recover after tonight’s shameful presentation.” Hiring Serenity was just a precaution but it was clear she had the right decision. It never occurred to her they would bluntly attack her. Father and mother better be pleased. I appreciate their trust in me but I hope they realized it was a reckless move to send me in the den of criminals.

“Ah, yes.” Sayo was confused. What was Serenity worrying over? Her client was very much alive, a quick look could tell her that. Unless it was there was something she missed. Unsure on what she was suppose to say, Sayo added, “I’ve got a couple bruises on my neck and arm. A headache.”

Oh, was Serenity ‘worried’ for her? The friendliness in her voice would suggest so. She turned and looked out the window, wondering if her roommate cared about her like how Sayo did back there. Many have showed honest concern to her before but now it’s different since she have also experienced the feeling.

She looked back at Serenity and answered her properly, “I’m...fine. How’s your arm? We’re headed to Hyakuji’s hospital. Unless there’s another place you prefer.”

"I've had worse done to me." Serenity spoke as she glanced over at her arm, it was true that the whole night had done a number on her but after working for The Court for long enough she had gotten used to tough missions. In all fairness a gunshot to the arm was a lot less deadly then most other places, Serenity would simply have to lay off on using her arm for a while from the looks of it.

Sayo inquired if Hyakuji's hospital was alright. After spending a few moments thinking about it Serenity nodded. "That'll be fine, though I'm sure they'll be surprised at such a mundane injury considering Hyakuji's normal state of things." She chuckled, she was wondering if they would be shocked or just display the normal Doctor attitude either way they'd find out eventually.

Seeing as they were for the most part safe from harm Serenity switched the gun's safety on and took out the clip inside. "Are you sure that it's fine to leave them like that?" Serenity didn't exactly plan on just leaving them to allow them to keep doing that kind of crap, less out of moral obligation and more out of annoyance that after beating Sanada's challenge he had dared try to win anyway. If there was one thing Serenity didn't like it was people who tried to win even though they had already lost.

"I mean, they might end up sending attackers after you at Hyakuji." She waited to see what Sayo's response to that would be, ultimately Serenity wasn't all that knowledgeable about the clan that they had just angered. She wasn't sure what lengths they would go through, unfortunately for them The Court was much stronger then they could even imagine but she was still a bit worried for Sayo.

Sayo smiled as Serenity’s humorous remark, her mood lightening up. The residents of Hyakuji probably kept their local hospital very busy. Yet this was her first time witnessing violence in person and ironically it did not occur at Hyakuji. “Then I guess, in a way, I’m overreacting.”

Sayo became uneased at how Serenity easily handled a gun. She known the kind of things Serenity do but the weight of it was never felt until now. She wondered if Serenity would have killed the man that they took hostage. At the time, everything was a rush and now thinking back on that could have happened sent shiver down her spine. She reached her hand to adjust her muffler then remembered she left it in her dorm.

“They might. It would be very easy for them to find me, my location isn’t a secret. It’s a good thing you’re my roommate then.” She suddenly felt very tired about the future. “... though not anytime soon. I imagine they would be busy rebuilding their status and reputation after tonight. There were a lot of important people there and the Ishii Clan just angered them.”

What happened tonight would be on the news, well among Business tabloids, and a hot topic for gossip. No doubt others would see this as a weakness and decide to strike the clan. And in the center, right next to the Ishii Clan, would be the Rie Enterprise. Ishii members might not only be the only people after her and her family. "And there will be many people watching the Rie family from now on. It's a fair price for fame and success. She didn’t want it but her parents did.

There were still unanswered questions. Like what happened to everyone in the party, why did Sanada allowed her to leave then ordered a lockdown of the building. But at the end, Sayo came out victorious because of Serenity, she made it possible. "Thank you for tonight." Sayo said sincerely, it felt very weird to say but needed to thank her even if she was just doing her job.

She owe her roommate now, much more than her life. What might have been unsettling for her a while ago was now a thing of warmth. She couldn’t explain it but it had to do with her new feelings. She wanted to pay Serenity because she simply wanted to. This new emotion was something she wanted more of. After all, if her forte was emotions then how could she be expected to use her powers if she haven’t experienced everything? Sayo could tell there was potential to her new emotions and she was going to explore it.

"It was no problem, as a client and a friend I was happy to help you" Serenity said as she leaned back in the limousine. Probably one of the better ones that she had been able to sit in but she didn't have the ability to fully appreciate it due to the pain shooting throughout her entire body.

It seemed like their relationship was definetly on the right path to being fixed if it hadn't already. There was one left thing to do, when she got a moment alone she would contact The Court and let them know to proceed with 'The Trial' of the Ishii Clan. For now however, she would simply enjoy the ability to live another day.

-Later that Night-

The party had ended early, considering the anger of Sanada as well as the state of the guests it was hardly suprising. People had left in a storm of both embarrassment and anger, not even sure at what had occurred. Even the people who had barely drunken any alcohol had gotten completely intoxicated, it was for all intents and purposes a mystery.

A shadow slipped through the halls of the Ishii clan's residence, it's target was none other then the head who was sleeping softly. Walking out of the shadows towards his target the individual sighed. "Should've let them go, you would've escaped the trial that way." He murmured quietly as he looked over his sleeping mark, he had seen this sight so many times before. People who were so sure that they were the strongest, that they could not be harmed, a false belief. "Your sentence is death."

With a quick movement a thin needle pierced Sanada's chest straight through to the heart. With that the great Ishii Clan head was no more, nothing more then another corpse which would fade into obscurity. As quickly as the individual had appeared he proceeded to slink back into the shadows fading out of sight. His task had been done for now, the sentence of The Court had been given.
