Sayo nodded but hesitated a little. She expected Serenity’s professionalism but was still caught off guard. Serenity gave no complaint, showed no weakness unlike Sayo herself. Her bodyguard have probably faced similar situation numerous times, if she wants to survive then she should take Serenity as an example. “Yes.” Sayo verbally answered back with a strong resolve. She walked passed Serenity and touched the door when she was hit with a headache. Pain pulsed through her head, so strong that she could almost hear it. Sayo sucked in a sharp breath as she waited for the pain to dull. A delayed response, she’d hoped she didn’t have to deal with the consequences of her powers as it did not immediately appeared after reaching her limit, maybe I should take a break. Then she remembered by her resolution but decided to tough it out. Sayo pushed open the door and faced the guests inside. She presented herself confidently as she walked back to her seat. She could feel eyes on her though it might be her imagination, she tried not to let it bother her. By now her headache was bearable and she could somewhat concentrate. Getting closer to the table, Sayo noticed her seat was taken by another man. This didn’t deter her and she simply took a chair closer to Sanada Ishii. Sayo gave a small bow to him and nodded to the stranger. He didn’t look like a member of the Ishii, maybe an ally? “It seems you were right, my friend.” Sanada was amused though underneath he was boiling. Him wrong? He was a fool to bet on Okita. He studied the two girls that defeated his best people. They both look worn but Ms Rie’s bodyguard looked more tired and he guessed she did most of the work. “I am impressed. How is my nephew?” If he was dead then the three in front of him was not leaving this building alive. “Thank you, Ishii-sama.” Sayo spoke and in good favor pour sake into his cup which he accepted. She was still mad at the rude way she was treated and decided to be a bit rebellious. Adding suspense, to show she was completely complacent. “Knight, what happened to his nephew?” As far as Sayo knew, no one knew Serenity’s name in this party and she wanted to keep it that way. Unless, Serenity wanted to reveal her name but she thought her bodyguard might refer to be anonymous. |

Serenity followed like the loyal shadow that she was playing, two steps behind Sayo. It seemed the worse was indeed over, she kept her eye out when they entered the building. There was no way of being able to tell easily if that was all that the Ishii clan was going to send after them, sure they had defeated three of their members but that didn't stop more from potentially trying to prove their families strength. Noticing that Rook had decided to keep the head entertained and to try to minimize any potential other interference that Sanada could send, Serenity nodded in appreciation to him who reciprocated. He decided that maintaining silence unless it was needed was the most wise move in this position. When she was given the question of what had become of his nephew Serenity stepped forward to answer Sanada's question. "I believe he is currently recovering outside. Nothing that a few days of rest and recovery won't fix." Even though she wanted to punch his face in more so she had to restrain herself and it seemed like it had payed off. "Though I must state it was quite a surprise to see the strength of the Ishii clan in action." That was meant to imply both Okita's strength as well as have a potential escape mechanism by shifting it onto Misaka if Sanada was outwardly unhappy. |

Sayo couldn’t fight the urge as her lips stretched into a smile. Enjoying the moment of triumph as Serenity answered her question, she watched Sanada’s expression. Her smile faltered, wishing Serenity would gloat about her victory rather than gave credit to the enemy. She could see her bodyguard didn’t want to anger the head and that was a good decision. That job belonged to her. “Ishii-sama, I have done as you requested: I have impressed you. Now I asked that you listen to my request.” “So this is the girl you highly praised.” Sanada spoke aloud, making Sayo confused on who he was talking to. He studied her bodyguard and nodding understandingly before turning to Sayo. “Then speak.” Sayo took note that she had his attention though he didn’t look too pleased. She couldn’t understand why, she done what he wanted. She fought back the throbbing in her head as she once again used her power. She let out a thin wave of emotion, the feeling of respect and confidence. “My family business is here to stay, I ask that you leave us alone. Do not come after me and my family, in return we will not go after yours.” Sayo stiffened when Sanada’s eyes narrowed at the possible threat in her words. She didn’t dare break eye contact though she could hear loud shouting and drunk arguing from other tables. She could her the sound of chair scraping and fists connecting to flesh. Finally, Sanada decided to speak. “No.” He said then he leaned in closer and continued proudly, “I will accept your business but I will not promise your family’s safety. You are our rival, we will always come after you.” Sanada smiled as if his words was a good thing, that Sayo was suppose to satisfied with it. She wished she had more access to her power so she change his mind. “Very well! I will also not promise your family’s safety. Thanking for inviting me but I think I’m going to retire for the night.” Sayo bowed and stood up to leave. Sanada apparently found her funny as he laughed. Then a gunshot rang through the room which was followed by screaming. “You are free to give little Ms Rie though the after party just started. Try and leave this place uninjured.” Gun firing was consecutive now, bullets flying everywhere, and she quickly turned to Serenity for help. “Lead the way.” OOC: Sanada Ishii #1C03C4 |

It seemed like it was time to go for them. Bullets started flying everywhere, it was near impossible to get their target out safely in this haze of bullet fire. She took one look at Rook and nodded, it seemed like it was his turn now. Serenity's powers were more useful in a physical fight, in something like this she was rather ineffective at protecting a client. Rook on the other hand specialized in widespread disabling, being able to manipulate the senses in the body allowed him to quickly incapacitate people by making them motion sick or something like increasing the alcohol level in a person's body to the point which they pass out. After Serenity and Sayo were out of earshot Rook stood up smiling. "That girl is considered by some to be the Lancelot of our round table." Sure the context could be construed that she was potentially the individual that could betray the organization but what Rook meant was she was probably the most effective agent among them. Holding his hand out Rook began his work, everyone excluding Serenity, Sayo and Sanada would find themselves so intoxicated that they would have trouble standing, let alone firing their guns. He began to stroll away towards the exit as well. "If you want our buisness just look for The Court, we'll answer." Rook spoke back to Sanada as he began to walk away. Serenity proceeded to lead Sayo towards the exit, just before everyone would find themselves unable to stand a bullet managed to lodge itself into her arm. It felt like fire was burning throughout her but she had to push on, thankfully it wasn't even her main arm. She didn't use her left arm for much but if she got into a fight now then it would be far from in her favour, wincing in pain she continued to lead Sayo towards the exit not saying a word. |

Sanada took a sip out of his cup as the two girls walked away. Perhaps he was too lax on the security. True, he wanted more action this year but the number of bullets flying around was insane. Still, it been a long time since he had this much fun despite his mood swings. Though it would be troublesome if the body count double from the usual number. Ah well, the price of entertainment. “I don’t hold much interest for western stories.” He was vaguely familiar of the King Arthur and his knights but no details. From the context, he could guess ‘that girl’ was someone of importance. He wondered how much money she cost. Sanada watched cautiously as Rook stood up. His team of bodyguard were less responsive this time as they were busy protecting their master from bullets. He watched as the man did something and affected his whole table. No, everyone here. Unacceptable. Sanada stood up, slamming his cup at the table. “When I call, you will answer with the sound of pain.” Although he was mad, Sanada couldn’t help but feel impressed. Maybe he should seriously consider the offer considering how his two best failed him. “Serenity!” Sayo’s horrified cry was blend in with the sound of groaning and wailing. The firing and fighting had stopped and changed into the struggle to stand and properly move. Sayo wondered if it was Serenity’s doing or a third party. She wondered why they were the only one not affect, could it be an outsider helping them? The fact that there was a factor she didn’t know about made her uneasy. But for now, she need to focus on getting out. They reached the elevator and Sayo to no hesitation to push the button. The elevator was on the 20th floor, they were on the 35th. As they waited, Sayo took the time to text her driver and tell him they need to stop by the hospital. “Wher uur gooin?” Sayo turn to the speaker, exasperated. They were so close. Stumbling around was a drunk man with an intense glare. He was a few meters ways and his progress very slow but so was the elevator. Both were making their way to them so slowly it was like watching a snail and turtle race. A sluggish pace yet full of suspense. She closed her hands into fist as she tried to reach for her powers just one more time but was blocked with a painful headache. “Donn go sso ooonn.” OOC:Bokuto color code #144EFC |

Rook laughed as Sanada had gotten quite mad. He was sincerely underestimating The Court if he thought that his little family could dent the monolithic organization. He could be dead in fifty different ways within the first 10 minutes if the Court called for his execution. All these families thought the same way, thought they were out of reach of anyone. He watched with a bit of worry as the client and Serenity were approached by one of the drunken guards, it was clear that Serenity was wounded but still a drunken guard should be easy for her to deal with. Rook stood at a fair distance waiting for the two of them to leave first. Serenity sighed as the elevator slowly began to make it's ascent, her arm was hurting like hell and blood was flowing through it, thankfully it wasn't a more deadly shot. If worse came to worse then she'd just have to rest for a while instead of permanently like she would have had to if the wound was much worse. Clicking her tongue as she heard a familiar drunken voice, turning to face it she recognized it as the guard who had been ordered to deal with her earlier. He had managed to at least be able to walk around. "Seems like Rook needs to practice more." Serenity muttered in annoyance. She moved forward to meet the guard and shot her uninjured arm forward in an attempt to knock him right out. The act of moving that much shot pain through her body but she was irritated and he would probably impede the mission's parameters. It was better to incapacitate him then to risk anything. |

Sanada growled angrily when Rook laughed. His gripped on his cup was so strong the cup shatter. Pieces of clay cut his skin but he didn’t feel anything in his rage. Him being mock? Any mercy and kindness that maybe have lingered in him vanish. “Don’t turn your back to me!” He yelled to the intruder. Sayo watched hesitantly as Serenity surged forward toward the approaching man. She felt the desire to stop her and was confused as to why. At the end she didn’t move to stop her bodyguard as Serenity needed to do her job and Sayo’s safety was first priority. She let out a sigh of relief when the drunk man was effectively knocked with one blow. Sayo was scared for a moment there and again she was confused as to why she felt so. She knew Serenity was capable and the now unconscious man was not never a big threat. Then what was she scared about? Sayo watched Serenity from behind and lingered on her injury. Again she felt her heart grip with fear. But it was a different kind of fear she experienced outside with Okita. It was more of anxiety and unease, not toward Serenity but for her. Was she...worried for Serenity? Sayo have felt worried for Serenity during the night but it was ultimately because she was worried herself and who would care for her if her bodyguard was down. But the feeling of uneasiness for Serenity right now was sincere. The elevator dinged and Sayo quickly got in and pressed ground floor. “Lets go.” After assessing her thought and emotions, Sayo concluded worrying about someone’s well being felt awful. Sayo thought about Hyakuji residents and how many of them are concern for each other. They go through this feeling every time, why would they subjugate themselves to such uneasiness? Despite the negative attitude she have, Sayo still found herself cherish her newfound feelings. Sayo stood at the back of the elevator, look up on the display as the numbers descend. “We’re stopping by the hospital. How’s the bleeding?” |

Rook turned around with a smile on his face, Sanada really had no clue who he was dealing with. "There are groups in this world with more power then you can even think of, I'd do my best not to irritate them." After the words exited his mouth Rook would suddenly vanish along with them, no fancy light show, nothing he just seemed to vanish. Was he even there at all was the question? It was quite evident that he was there from all the chaos that he had caused after all. Or was it? "I agree." Serenity's response was quick and to the point, normally she would entertain the notion of politeness more with her clients but she was to tired to even pretend that she was being polite. This was a job and she would approach it as such, even if it meant being rude to her friend. Currently Sayo was her client and Serenity would have to treat her with the same level of respect she would afford all of her clients. Cold, hard, professionalism. As they entered the elevator Serenity set herself against one of the walls. The pain was killing her metaphorically, but then again being shot never was a walk in the path. "That's not necessary but I won't stop you if you insist, the job isn't over yet." She was a bit touched that Sayo cared about her enough to take her to a hospital even if it ultimately wasn't necessary. "The bleeding is... uncomfortable but nothing that is serious enough to be permanent damage." She responded stone faced as always. "Are you alright?" She inquired her client's wellbeing, while the job was still in motion her client's own health was more important then hers. She had to admit this was a rather tough assignment all things considered. Not her toughest assignment but probably top ten. |

Sanada roared in anger and grabbed the sake bottle and through it at Rook. The man disappeared and bottle crashed onto another table. He grabbed one of the guard and shook him hard. “Get word down there! No one leaves this building without my permission.” He received no intelligible response but he was far from done. “Not necessary?” Sayo was pretty sure one does not simply heal from a gun wound. Unless Serenity have a healing ability, she would have to get it treated. She turned to face Serenity and study her wounds. Then looked away as that feeling returned. “I’m fine.” Sayo answered back in a clipped tone. Indeed, the job isn’t over. Ground floor still have guards and security, she wasn’t sure if they were under the unexplained sickness on the party floor. Have word reached down there? Best case: they would suspect nothing and she could walk free. Worst case: they were waiting for them. She wished the elevator ride won’t end so she don’t have to find out what is awaiting for her. The moment they have here was precious and almost blissful. “I insist we go to the hospital.” Sayo wasn’t done worrying over Serenity. She turned back to her roommate and another wave of uneasiness washed over from seeing her tired. She could see it hurt, years of studying people’s gestures and expression told her Serenity was hiding it. Sayo appreciated Serenity professionalism, it created a familiar and comfortable atmosphere. But she wasn’t about to give up on her newly discovered emotions just yet. It felt like she was entering a new world, one she was intending to fully explore. “We should stop the bleeding.” Sayo walked up to Serenity so that they were face to face. She wondered what her concerned expression look like. She stood close her, invading personal space. Calmly, she raising her hand and reach out for Serenity’s tie. Without waiting for permission, she began to untied her tie. Edited by Sayo Rie, Aug 16 2014, 12:41 PM.

"A-as you say." Serenity said a bit taken aback by the sudden invasion of her personal space. She wasn't used to her client's showing a level of care over her and even though Sayo was also her roommate she expected her to act like client's normally acted. It was a welcome change from the typical response she had to say, she allowed Sayo to untie her tie and do with it what she wished. Whilst the elevator was going down Serenity got to thinking. There was still a large chance that the security on the ground floor would get notified of their actions and be waiting for them. She wasn't exactly sure what the smartest idea would be, trying to fight them would probably result in their death quite easily. Sighing she looked at Sayo. "When we arrive down on the ground floor we might run into more guards, I want you to stick to the corner near the door, that should prevent you from being in line of sight of anyone." She calmly explained the situation to Sayo, it was going to be a big gamble to see i they could manage to get out of this situation alive. "Just follow my lead." She spoke as the elevator continued to proceed down, she gestured to Sayo to take her position up on the corner of the elevator closest to the door whilst she took the opposite corner and hoped that her plan would work |

Sayo successfully took off the tie and straightened it as she listened to Serenity. She never done first aid before but she knew applying pressure stopped the bleeding. Gingerly, she touched the injured arm and inspect the wound. It was her first time seeing something like things and she grimaced. “I understand, what are you planning to do?” Sayo replied, still following along though her concentration was elsewhere. She wrapped the tie twice around Serenity’s arm gently. She tied it tight enough so that it wouldn’t fall off during a fight but still somewhat comfortable. It would probably hurt but Serenity would have to deal with it. She checked her ameuter work and was satisfied. “There.” She smiled as warm trickled in her. So this is what it feels like to help someone. It felt nice and addicting. Sayo turned and stood where Serenity had gestured. She reluctantly switched back to professional mode. When they return home, she could dwell on her new emotions as much as she liked. The elevator dinged as it reached ground floor. The doors open and there stood a man in uniform who was bowing. “Thank you for coming to our party. Let me-” He looked up and was confused when he saw no one. “How odd.” The man walked into the elevator to pushed the correct floor so that the guests wouldn’t have to wait. |

Serenity winced as the tie was tightened, it was ultimately for the best but that didn't stop it from being painful. Unfortunately for them it was something that had to be done to minimize risk involved. "If we have any luck, I'm going to be getting us out of here." Serenity spoke, her plan was really risky but either way it at least gave them protection if the family members were as heartless as their reputation. There was nothing more effective then a good human shield, either way it ended up working out. They didn't shoot giving them an easy way out or they did shoot in which case they hit their comrade instead of their actual targets. Prior to Sayo moving to her corner Serenity managed to grab the knife that she was holding onto. It was something that she'd probably need. As soon as the man walked into the elevator he would find Serenity behind him and the feel of cold steel touching his neck. "If you want to live I suggest you don't do anything to rash." There was every chance that he wouldn't co-operate but cold steel at one's neck often persuaded a different course of action. "Let's get moving, I'd hope your comrades value your life enough." Serenity spoke as she attempted to push the poor man out of the elevator. |

Sayo moved out of her corner, understanding what Serenity was planning. How smart, the Ishii clan value their members which would work in their favour. However, the clan won't hesitant to cut down those who slow them down. Hopefully this man was important enough to get them out. “W-what?” The man struggled but froze when he felt metal on his neck. His frantic eyes found Sayo’s who stood to the side. Recognition mixed in his panic expression. Confused he began, “Rie-sama? I can’t possibly-” “Don’t worry. Listen to my bodyguard and you’ll live. ” Sayo cut in, using her persuasion power. Her headache have cleared enough for her to use her power once again. She recognized him. The fearful man who escorted them to the elevator when they first arrived. She was a little discouraged when she recalled his coworkers didn’t treat him with much respect. It looks like Ken won’t be surviving the night. How pitiful but men like him were expendable. “Be good, Ken-san.” “I understand.” Ken went into a trance and stepped out of the elevator, willing to go where Serenity guide him. Sayo followed behind them. She whispered to Serenity, "If we can't make it outside, my driver can still pick us up though we need to stall for time." At this point, she didn't care if she had to vandalized property. She just hope the lobby glass doors isn't reinforced with anything. If they turned the corner from the elevator hallway, they would see a dozen guards. Most of them were standing in a slouched position as nothing much was happening. That is until one of them got a call, “Ishii-sama!?....It will be done.....we will send men up and make sure no one leaves this place!” |

"Shit." They were to late, the guards on the floor had already been alerted to their plan to quickly exit the hotel. It seemed like their bargaining chip was more useful then she initially thought. Still, it was really their only safe way out. Serenity hoped that the Ishi clan valued this poor guy's life well enough, either that or he was meaty enough to absorb enough fire to get them to a safer spot if not straight to the driver. Just before she began to walk out into the hallway behind the man she quickly whispered to Sayo. "I'd suggest calling your driver and telling him if he hears any gunshots to come pick us up, preferably by driving through the front doors." It was a risky plan if the vehicle wasn't at least semi reinforced but it could get them out of trouble easily. It'd provide a distraction and potentially take out a few guards, hell it even had the extra bonus of damaging the building. "Hey." Serenity called out as she stepped out with her human shield. "I'd suggest you let us leave nice and quietly, that way no one gets hurt." The knife was still held at the man's throat. There was as little as possible of Serenity's body or Sayo's body available to shoot at. If they did indeed open fire all they would manage would be to maim their friend. |

“Doing it now.” Sayo pulled out her phone and texted instructions to her driver. An instant reply popped up. She nodding approvingly and replied, “Done. There may be a delay though.” She put her phone back and stuck close to Serenity as they stepped out. So far so good, they weren’t shot down instantly on the spot. Sayo peered over them and saw several frozen in place while a few of them whipped out their guns. Most of their shocked expression shifted to intense determination and aggression. The closest one, though still a few meters away, sighed and gave a pitiful look to the hostaged man. Then he looked directly at Sayo. “We are under orders to not let anyone leave.” “I’m sure you can make an exception. We’re in a hurry.” Sayo used her powers again but she knew she couldn’t break through that determination. An order from their beloved head isn’t something easily swayed from. “We are also under specific orders to bring Rie-sama and her knight to Ishii-sama.” He shook his head then fired at the hostaged man’s leg. The poor man howled in pain and broke free from the command Sayo had earlier gave him. He struggled and his weight collapsing underneath him. The guard fired warning shots. “Preferably alive. Let go of the man and come with us.” Sayo flinched and whispered to Serenity, “We need more time.” Her options were limited. Transmitting negative emotions in this situation would be a bad idea. However, she have very limited experience with positive emotions. But stalling them was key. She transmitted a wave of sadness and sorrow. With a fake horrified and hurt expression, she cried, “You shot him! You shot your own clan member! Monsters!” |
