Short Backstory Time

She didn't set where she'd appear. An unconscious Vert, in clothes fairly normal to a human, was unconscious on the forest floor, near a biking trail. Despite the fact her clothes were fine, she seemed to have a number of odd burns on her, and was unconscious. She'd be fine, but she didn't look that great.

Meanwhile, a world away from Goddesses playing games was Elise Rogner, whose carefree attitude was light years away from a serious game. UnFortunately for the unconscious Goddess, Elise happened to be nearby, after all, where better to ride a motorcycle than on a biking trail? ...Even if motorcycles were probably not allowed on the biking trail... Then again, nobody's going to notice in the middle of the forest, right? It was practically empty enough for Elise to ride a motorcycle without getting caught. Well, usually it was, but for once, Elise did actually come across someone, but they were far too busy being unconscious to notice Elise disregarding biking trail rules.

Of course, Elise wasn't the type to ignore a pretty girl who was unconscious. She stopped nearby the unconscious blonde girl. For finding someone unconscious and injured, Elise probably looked far too cheerful. Then again, for anyone who actually knew Elise, that probably wouldn't be too shocking...

Kneeling down besides the unconscious blonde, Elise spoke in a low voice, as to not startle the girl if she was conscious enough to hear. "Are you okay? Did you fall of your bike or something?" ...It seemed Elise didn't quite realise there was no bicycle nearby...

Vert slowly inched back towards consciousness, roused slightly by the sound of Elise's voice "Urgh... what happened?" she moaned. Her eyes opened to see another girl rousing her. She weakly turned her head towards her, and tried to sit up. She let out a "Kyah!" and immediately laid down once more, a few pained tears welling up in her eyes for a moment, before she told her "It feels like... my body was ripped apart, and glued back together." she grunted out.

Vert felt horrible, although she didn't feel like she was going to die. It felt more like she was recovering from a serious injury though, the sort that would have been life threatening. At least that was what the story the pain she felt told her; she didn't have any idea otherwise "V-Vert. My name is Vert." She told her, weakly smiling.

She winced a little, as she slowly moved her neck to look around "W-where am I?" She wasn't exactly sure where she was, or how she got there. In fact, she didn't remember how she got hurt either. Maybe whatever hurt her managed to give her short-term memory loss or something.

Despite trying to not startle Vert, it seemed like Elise somehow managed to still startle her...

As Elise was able to get a closer look at Vert, it was clear she had wounds, but at the same time, they were more like burns, certainly not wounds that you would expect from someone who had fallen off their bike. Not to mention her clothes were completely fine. Honestly, how she ended up in the forest with those kinds of wounds was beyond anything Elise could imagine, but it was Hyakuji after all...

At least she wasn't so injured that she couldn't talk, although, Elise honestly didn't know the extend she was injured. Elise returned the smile, although unlike Vert, Elise's smile wasn't quite as weak.

"I am Elise, and I am not sure what happened. I just found you lying here. Maybe we should take you to a hospital, you look as if you could use a doctor. Although, going by bike might be a little dangerous... Can you stand up?"

As much as Elise liked touring with pretty girls, even Elise could see that it was probably better to call an ambulance in this kind of situation... Which is why Elise was preparing her phone. As far as Elise could see, it was probably the only way Vert was going to leave this forest after all.

Despite having spent her whole life in a divine realm, she'd spent that time meddling with human affairs to the point where she probably had a reasonably strong grasp of human society, or at the very least 'pass for native' in that regard, so to speak. Not that she remembered she was even a diety. So she did know what a hospital was.

At Elise's question of whether she could stand, she told her "That sounds like a... pretty good idea. Let me see..." She slowly shuffled onto her feet, although it was clear by the fact tears were welling up in her eyes and that she was clenching her teeth that she was not comfortable while doing so.

"Well... I can get up... but with the catch of not... fun." she grunted. She didn't seem to have any problem actually standing, it just hurt a lot.

Well, if standing even brought her to tears, hospital seemed to be the only really the only solution to a situation like this... Well, even Elise had to act sensible sometimes, as much as she wanted to mess around, it probably wasn't a good idea to when someone could barely walk.

What a responsible person.

"If you can stand up then at least that's something... Although I guess going to a hospital really is the safest solution. How about your memory? Besides your name do you remember anything else about yourself? Do you remember what happened that got you in this way?"

Well, considering she didn't seem to know what happened to her, it was probably a sensible question to ask. Plus, the hospital would probably be interest in that kind of information too.

Could see remember anything "Of course I can, I... I..." after a brief pause, one which probably explained everything "Oh crap." she sighed, looking rather distraught. She sighed "Okay, I can pretty much remember... my name. Yep, that's it. My name, and bit about what I can do, that's it. Ehehehe." This was... no good, how was she supposed to get home, damn it. Actually, she wasn't even sure where she lived.

She thought a bit more, looking for any other memories that might still be rattling. After a few moments of thinking "Aside from that, I think I lost some sort of game or competition or something. I-I don't think I actually staked my memories or anything on it, but..." she told her. She waited for a few moment.

She sighs "If its all I remember, it must be important."

So in other words, Vert had no idea where she lived, or who she was besides her name, and the only memory she had was her name and losing a game...

Well, Elise honestly had no idea why losing a game would be the only thing she remembered, but that didn't particularly matter seeing as the main concern was what to do with the injured girl.

"So... You don't remember where you live, or where you come from? I suppose if they can't find anything at the hospital, you could always request to stay at the school here... One moment, I will call the hospital. After that we will have time to kill until the ambulance arrives~"

Well, it wasn't as if people who had little memory of who they were, or how they arrived in Hyakuji were at a shortage at Hyakuji High, so it probably wouldn't be particularly difficult for her to apply for the school. Elise quickly called the hospital, and after arranging an ambulance, she put her phone away.

"Well, I am sure you won't need to think too much~ Even if you want remember now, you should do eventually."

"No, that's all I remember." Vert told her. Well, she had a bit of knowledge, like she knew a fair bit about the world. She wasn't sure if it was any more than most people would know, however "Anyways, thanks. What's that school you're talking about? Most those fancy boarding schools require a lot of advanced paperwork, d-don't they?" Vert winced a bit during the last part, still in considerable pain.

She finally decided to sit down, her aching legs thanking her for it. She still felt rather horrible, of course.

The goddess tried to recall a bit more, but she sighed "I guess, but I really wish I remembered." she explained. Her parents must have been worried sick, she figured. No, Vert didn't have parents; however, she knew most people had them, so she figured she must have them as well.

As if Elise could ever afford a fancy boarding school. Or do paperwork.

"Not at all, it is more of a... I guess it is a pretty easy school to get into now I think about it..."

Was there even any paperwork involved in getting into that school besides some very basic registration...?

"I am sure if you go to the school, they will explain everything to you. The hospital is a little far from the school, but once you'Ve healed up, there should be no problems getting there,"

The hospital seemed to be pretty far from almost everything... Then again, it was easy enough to get to, just a long journey. At least an ambulance shouldn't take as long as buses.

"But I wouldn't worry so much about remembering, you should focus on getting better~ It looks like you need that more than memories at the moment."

...She really did look as if she should be worrying about her injuries more than her memories...

Vert blinked a few times, in a bit of disbelief, before smiling a bit "Oh, well that's convenient." she replied, a bit of pain audible in the last syllable, as she accidentally moved a muscle she shouldn't have.

Hearing Elise's explanation further, Vert nodded. Vert could walk, at least when she was in better shape. At the least, she could probably walk to a bus. She nodded "Okay, I'll keep that in mind."

Her body was fairly banged up, and Elise reminding her of it brought her attention to her aches once more, as she winced "Yeah, maybe you're right." she told her. It didn't feel lethal, but it was sure painful.

At any rate though, the very sensation of physical pain seemed rather unfamiliar. Not in the sense that she didn't know what it was; rather, it was in the sense of haven't experienced it before. But didn't everyone know what it was like; after all, was it not just a part of life? She guessed it was simply her amnesia's work.

Honestly, it was hard to work out what Elise should do. It probably wasn't a good idea to touch Vert, after all, she had burns, or at least, something that looked like burns all over her body. Touching her would probably only make her pain worse, which meant Elise could only really just speak to her until the ambulance arrived.

"Well, I am sure you will get better soon, it doesn't look like your wounds are too bad... Just a little on the painful side maybe..."

Well, I don't think there was really any need to question about the pain. Judging from how Vert was reacting to them, it was pretty clear they were painful. Of course, it didn't appear particularly severe. Well, nothing life threatening, at any rate.

Then again, Elise was no doctor, so she had no idea how bad it was...

It wouldn't be long after that the sound of faint sirens would gradually grow louder, indicating that the ambulance Elise had called earlier was getting closer. Well, it could have just been another emergency vehicle passing through, but given this was in the middle of the forest, it was highly unlikely that any other emergency vehicle would pass through besides the one Elise had called for.

"Looks like you will only need to endure it for a little while longer~ I haven't been to the hospital here before, but it shouldn't take too long to get to by ambulance~"
