It was the end of another day of school at Hyakuji High and most of the students going there were slowly making their way out the gates. Some had plans with others, some went straight home and some went off to meet up with their clubs for practice and activities that were a standard for them. As for Hibiki, she exited without any specific plan in mind, being one of the last students to leave the building, although a few things did worry her, things from the past and present both forcing the cogs and wheels inside her head to turn faster and faster, causing her thoughts to spiral out of control. The main issue was an event that happened just a few weeks ago, the incident at the hot-springs which involved both her and Amita to get injured. A thought and a feeling lingered from that day, lurking within her mind and popping up whenever she had a moment to spare. She had power. A lot of power. Power she couldn't begin to grasp, let alone utilize to it's full extent. Hibiki was strong, yes, but when she felt herself pushed the way that she did, the rest of it started overwhelming her mind, causing damage to both the springs themselves and Amita, her beloved roommate and almighty older sister from another set of parents she's failed to meet.. oops! Sure, afterwards, the situation seemed to be okay, Amita taking it rather calmly despite the events that occurred and Hibiki herself acting as if nothing bad actually happened. But deep down, somewhere within, she could see, feel, hear, smell and taste her own anger, fear and actions from that night. Her arms squeezing around her beloved friend. Her eyes glaring down, blinded by rage. If only Hibiki could control her own abilities and draw out her latent strength without these events occurring.. maybe, just maybe all of this wouldn't have happened. However, this wasn't the only issue the girl was having. Recently, her body has been feeling a lot warmer. Normally, Hibiki would have an above-average body temperature, being the equivalent of a radiator but with two feet and a hungry stomach that cries out for rice. Hibiki never felt herself being too warm either. That feeling was perfectly natural to her. However, lately, she's been feeling a lot warmer, each day getting worse and worse. She tried her best to hide it, not wanting to worry her friends and her father, but today is the worst it's ever been. With each step she would take, her body would flare up, getting warmer and warmer. Shaking, twitching, squirming, moving forward with one foot at a time. Her hand moved up and tugged at her collar, gasping out for a light breath of air as she turned her gaze to the school behind her, waiting for Amita to exit the building after her. "G-gguuuh.. it's.. w-warm.." Her voice squeaked out a slightly pained noise from her lips, as her vision would blur for just a moment, quickly regaining her focus as her sights were set on the concrete below her, Hibiki having fallen over and landed on her knees because of her weird condition. Without a warning, her voice would let out a loud yelp of pain, as a burning feeling suddenly started to push out into each of her limbs, almost as if her body was lighting itself on fire. It came straight from her heart, pushing out into her arms and into her fingers, down into her thighs and along her leg, up along her spine and to the tip of her head. She wasn't literally one fire, however, her skin was extremely warm. Not to the point of burning someone's flesh off or causing any sort of damage, but just touching it would send the same kind of burning heat Hibiki felt into this person's system, causing them to feel the same kind of pain until they would release their grip. "M-mhyy.. mhyyuuuu.. h-help.. w-waarm.." Edited by Remi, Jun 14 2014, 08:53 PM.

"Hey, Hibiki?" Amitie had stepped out of the school building only a few moments later. Normally, she would depart for home together with Hibiki, but a conversation with her friends had caused a slight delay... ah, how annoying! The redhead loved walking home with Hibiki, as it made her super nostalgic to the times she could do it by her own little sister! But, today didn't seem like it was going to be a regular day. Amitie noticed her dear friend stagger and fall down towards the ground, before hearing that terrifying shrill of pain. With a kick of her feet, she would launch herself closer to Hibiki's body, giving the students that had started to crowd around her an angry glare to disperse them. Hibiki wouldn't like being stared at in this situation, after all... "Hey, what's going on...?" Amitie said, doing her best to repress her worries as her hands shot towards Hibiki's back, grabbing her gently- Ah, what the hell!? Her skin was hot to the touch! It actually hurt to hold her like this! ...But that wasn't going to stop Amitie. She gently shuffled the girl into her lap, dancing one of her hands to her forehead to check the temperature there, and- Ah, was she getting even hotter? The redhead couldn't even tell at this point. It was absurd either way. Loudly, she would yell out "Doctor... doctor, one of you get a doctor! Nurse! Whatever, GET SOMEONE!" At this point, it wasn't just Hibiki's body that was burning up. Amitie's aura was starting to thicken around her, making the very air itself feel compressed and thicker. It would definitely be a bit less pleasant to breathe for everyone aside from Hibiki and herself... "Hey, you're feeling really warm..." Amitie would focus her eyes back on Hibiki after that yell, smiling down on her. "But you'll be fine in a minute. Did you catch the flu, Hibiki? Sigh, this is something you tell your Oneechan!" she was doing her best to keep the conversation casual, and more importantly, going. Conversations tended to keep pain at bay, after all. Damn, it's hard to choose a song to walk to. This and that, multiple songs stuck in Ami's head, wanting to listen to one, then the other, then interrupt that song halfway through with a completely different one that has zero relation whatsoever... Which is how Ami ended up leaning against the front gate, fingerless gloves equipped, finger flicking repeatedly and pausing as she failed to decide on that one particular song that would satisfy her. Never mind the heat or anything, she just couldn't decide. And if she didn't hurry, this precious cold can of soda in her other hand would soon warm... "Random it is, then..." The finger of programming would choose her next song, Ami concluded with a sigh. With that thought in her mind, she began her first step away from the scho- "The hell...?" Well. A loud scream of pain isn't in an ordinary routine. Curiosity and slight worry compelled her, forcing her back into the maw of the front gate, eyes taking in the sight of the orange-haired girl on her knees. It certainly was a worrying sight, seeing a person knelled over, muttering about warmth. Must be a fever that probably festered too long, that must be it. And see, that must be her friend, the one with the blazing red hair. Should be fine, concluded Ami. Even with that, it wasn't stopping her from slowly heading towards the two out of sheer curiosity, flinching slightly from those angry green eyes that were shined briefly in her direction. She couldn't really blame the redhead for that... The seconds passed by as she kept slowly moving forward. A doctor? A nurse? It couldn't be a simple fever, could it? As she approached the two, Ami gave a sudden cough, surprised at the encroaching heat wave. This wasn't a simple fever gone out of control. Nor could she recall any disease off the top of her head that would make someone give off ambient heat. In any case, the first priority of someone with a fever, or maybe heatstroke, was to cool the person down. Well, get them to shade, but that would come soon enough. She could just buy another later, Ami surmised as she broke through the crowdring surrounding the two, holding the soda can prominently to the redhead. "Here." A cough against the heat. "Against her forehead." Not that it wasn't obvious what it was meant to be used for, Ami hoped, but simply to let the redhead keep control of the situation somewhat. |

Summer was around the corner, which for the student council, meant making extra preparations. Some students would be going on holiday, others would be sneaking one in somewhere, and others in either case would find themselves swamped with additional work, in order to catch up. Summer was often a busy time of the year, regardless of world, and it was especially true for regions where the cold contrast of winter was well known. Tyzal tapped away at a holographic screen, trying to figure out schedules, plans of action, and all sorts of things that he would need to have least partly wrapped his head around, before the day was done. So caught up in his thoughts as he walked along the school grounds, spiked hair slightly bobbing up and down, he almost seemed not to notice the world around him at all. Almost. "Hm?" Fortunately, he'd been long enough on this world to have at least some idea of when things were acting outside the norm. And in this case, the 'thing' was a girl, and a girl hunching over in a sudden pain. Quickly closing his holograms, instincts kicked in as Tyzal rushed across to where the girl was now struggling on the ground, as a couple others came near as well. One was trying to comfort the girl who, from the sounds of it, was heating up far too quickly, whilst another offered something that might at least cool her down. "Hold her just a moment." The alien, however, began to scan. Raising his Hunter-VG, he made a quick medical assessment of the impromptu patient's condition, and... An eyebrow went up. Not only was the girl's temperature rising well out of control, but there was something else at work too. Some intertwined with the girl's biology, and yet at the same time, seemingly foreign to it. Certainly next to no other humans he knew had this kind of reference point, except for... His eyes widened, quickly tapping at a new holographic screen that appeared. He'd created a generic recording that he could quickly use to summon local emergency services, but whilst that call rang, they needed to deal with the more immediate issue. But since the girl's temperature was rising higher... He sighed a little. Really, at this point, why keep it secret? Besides, not as if most would have the context to understand it. "EM Wave Change!" In a quick flash of blue light, the student council member known to others as Subaru Hoshikawa, was instead replaced by an officer of Star Force, all clad in blue. He hoped the transformation would have seized enough attention from the two around, so he could get to business. "I'm going to move her to the nurse's office. So someone can help her till the ambulance gets here." Or, he would be, if the red head would release the girl whose temperature had risen high, as he held out his arms, gesturing his willingness. Transformed as he was, he'd be far more likely to take the heat without serious harm, though he would nevertheless try to move quickly through the corridors, not entirely unwilling to move other students aside if need be. |

The relic within a certain fallen idol worked in mysterious ways. Chris had yet to claim full control over it as well, so not even the one who lived with it had a full idea of what it could do. She often lost full control of herself at times because of it, leading to a strange persona that spoke her inner most insecurities. It was a persona that she was fully aware of yet something she did little to quell... But what does that have to do with the situation at hand? Simply being near Hibiki always caused Chris' powers to react in a way. It was something that required them to be within arm's reach for it to happen...but the sheer amount of energy Hibiki was exerting allowed for the distance between the reactions to increase several fold. She barely made it out of the main building when the throbbing pain began. A familiar pain that felt like she was going to be torn apart. It was bad before, but never to this degree. All it told Chris was that "she" was nearby. She needed to get closer...maybe it'd stop like last time...her body just moved on its towards Hibiki, ignoring everything else yet...the pain only got worse. All the while it seemed her blonde hair continued to flicker between the two shades that represented her other persona... "Bikki...?" |

As Amitie rushed over to grab and hold onto Hibiki's body, her forehead burning up to the point where a fever wouldn't even begin to describe it, the orange-haired girl shook her head and smiled up at her older sister, simply trying to shake her pain off with a wide grin on her face. Hibiki had never felt actual pain before nor the feeling of sickness. She had never had a single cold or fever in her entire life and most of her visits to the hospital always had some form of physical injury, surprising the doctor's each time with her bright and clear face. At most, pain for Hibiki felt like a warm touch. She's just never felt that touch this sharp before, which surprised her a lot. The only problem with telling Amitie or anyone else around her would be her nature where dislikes worrying others, especially if it's someone like Amitie. "A-ahahahaha.." Hibiki laughed with a pained expression on her face, shaking her head as if she tried to shake the pain off her. "D-don't worry about me! I just.. tripped!" With a nod, Hibiki placed her hand up on Amitie's shoulder, using her as support while she tried to raise herself up from the ground. Her eyes made contact with the redhead's worried expression for a quick second, gaze darting away and towards Ami, Tyzal and Chris in the crowd. Her legs prepared themselves and her hand pressed down on Amitie's shoulder, sending a powerful shock of heat and pain into her system, all while exhibiting the same kind of strength she used during her transformations, pushing herself up and Amitie down. "S-See, I can stand up.. just.." She blinked. The pain disappeared. She felt nothing. Absolutely nothing. The girl couldn't even feel her feet touch the ground. Hibiki was clearly floating.. or was she? With a confused expression, the girl looked down, watching her feet pressed firmly against the ground without any issues, even dragging her left leg back, pulling some of the dirt and grass on the tile with her foot. "T-That's.. strange.. a-am.. I flying?" Hibiki asked, turning her gaze down towards the group around her. "I'm.. flying, right? I can't.. feel an.. a-any.. thing.." She began to shudder, her legs and arms shaking up while her fists would clench shut. The pain started again, her heart beating up faster and faster. At this point, any attempts at touching Hibiki would end up with pain, as an extremely sharp and burning feeling would force itself into the subject's body and force them away. "N-N.. nothing.. a-at.. at.. at.. at all.. s-see?" Hibiki smiled, eyes tearing up as she forced out the biggest smile she could muster. "A-All I need.. i-is a big breath of air.. and.. I'll.. be fine!" With a quick nod, Hibiki leaned her head back and started taking in the air around her, making a very loud and clear inhale as her lungs filled up with air. She closed her eyes during this process and shook up further, stopping and closing her mouth as a burst of energy would force itself out of her skin, surprising anyone around her with a warm and powerful push of her aura, letting out another pained scream as she leaned forward with her hands wrapped around her chest, feeling her heart going crazy after that single breath of air, as she tilted her head down to hide her eyes filled with tears. |

Nope, Amitie wouldn't let the others close. Only Ami was barely accepted within a five meter radius of the pair. It was as if they were surrounded by a rock-solid wall, one that only partially parted to let Ami's ice-cold soda in. Amitie would snag it away, instantly pressing it towards Hibiki's head in an attempt to cool her down. When Subaru changed his form and offered to take Hibiki out of her hands, he too would be met with that thick wall. Only Hibiki would not feel this intenseness that haunted the air. "What do you think you're doing?" the redhead asked, letting Hibiki rest in her lap, setting down the now heated soda besides her as she diverted her attention completely to the member of the student council. "Do I look like I need help with this? I told you to go get someone, not to fuck about uselessly." She took on an all-new tone and style of speech that Hibiki had definitely never seen before. The red-head was about to stand up and bring her newly 'adopted' little sister towards the nurse's office herself, having not heard Hibiki's meek laugh and her lies of rest... but instead, she felt herself forced down into the floor. ...Oh no. Her powers? It had to be related to them. Even though Amitie had been completely caught off guard, there was no way Hibiki could force her down otherwise. The sudden heat that was forced down her system was enough to even make the normally-unbreakable Amitie wince. Only for just a moment, though. After that, her expression changed back to that calming smil- Amitie's eyes widened in shock as she saw Hibiki's expression shift. Her pain was written all over her face, and she still dared act as if she was okay. Okay? Okay!? "I thought I told you to not lie to me." Amitie reached forward, once again, grabbing onto Hibiki's arm. It felt like her skin was boiling. It probably was, too. The slight sweat that had soaked her palms from previously holding the overheating Hibiki had started to evaporate into steam. With a sudden, forceful yank, she would drag Hibiki into a hug. This time, clinging onto her from behind. Once again, her body had started to steam. "I-It's okay, let it all out...." Amitie could barely voice those words through the pain as Hibiki yelled out. The only thing keeping her standing right now was the fact that she knew her body wouldn't melt. S-steel itself wouldn't melt from something like this. A few tears of pain would manifest in Amitie's eyes, but before they could fully manifest, they had already evaporated. Amitie's very eyes were steaming. Quickly, she closed her eyes, not wanting to boil her eyeballs out. "I-If I open my eyes... And you people haven't gotten a doctor..." Amitie's teeth clenched tightly together. Pressure would build beneath Amitie's feet, starting to carve a hole into the ground beneath. She wasn't aware of her actions- she wasn't even aware of her own new ability. It was nothing more than a reflex to vent her pain. It was as if the tiniest explosions were being set off beneath Amitie's feet. "I-I'll... break you in half..." Amitie sighed deeply, clenching Hibiki a bit tighter. This might hurt, but it probably wouldn't hurt nearly as much as her fiery heat. "H-Hibiki, you'll be fine... they're getting a d-doctor. I-it's just your powers, t-t-they... they can get it under control." While Amitie acted strong, she was at her own limit. If this lasted any longer, she would have to back off, as well. If she stayed like this any longer, even her uniform would catch ablaze... Edited by Hayate, Jun 30 2014, 06:59 PM.

...oh. Oh dear. Cases like these were thankfully few in Tyzal's experience in the force, because they complicated matters quite well. After all, one could hardly blame someone for being quite concerned and protective over those that mattered to them. It didn't make them evil or, necessarily, out of line if they then got agitated about perceived threats against that person. It was, in truth, why Tyzal had tried not to force his aid too harshly, realising the perception it might carry, and waiting for the pink haired girl to give him the chance to move Hibiki away. But responses like these really did not help. First was the invisible but noticeable 'wall' that popped up between him and the afflicted, which by the language he was met with thereafter, was being projected by the redhead somehow. Rather than respond to the provocation, Tyzal instead focused on putting his palm to the 'edges' of this wall, briefly testing the extent of the effect. Air had limits after all, even if to a more lenient degree than say, the compression of water... But as he leaned slightly on the pressurised area, something else happened - something that he had failed to anticipate. The girl in pain moved of her own accord. And she did so in a manner that seemed to surprise even herself, and Tyzal blinked at the subsequent proceedings. Flight was... unknown to her? Yet the ability was clearly demonstrating, and not infrequently either... Realisation hit him. Some kind of metamorphosis was underway, functioonal but yet to consciously controlled. And given how much energy the girl was putting out without trying as such... "Get back!" He turned with a yell towards the others, but a moment before Hibiki's body let loose with a burst of its aura. Tyzal braced himself against it, and managed to avoid being sent back but a few centimetres, but it was something that still managed to slowly push him back... If this wasn't brought under control, then there was a risk to the school. And he certainly wasn't going to be intimidated by some teenager about it. "Alright, listen up in there. The ambulance is on its way, and threatening me or anyone else about it, because you're scared, is not going to make it come any faster. At best, you're going to find yourself in detention." And he would personally put her there if he had to. More importantly though... "Your friend needs help. I don't know what is causing it, or why... but if continues like this, it's going to tear her apart from the inside - her body won't take the stress." He expected resistance, but regardless, Tyzal began to push forward. Air was air, and this 'wall' had to have Iits limits somewhere. Hopefully, an upper body strength of several tonnes would be enough. And so, he thrust his hand forward, and started to push. "She needs... to see someone who can offer more than kind words and a hug. Someone who might know how to stem the flow of the energy. Offer control..." Even as he struggled, with no guarantee of his successful passage through the unorthodox barrier, Tyzal raised his left arm, to track how Hibiki's energy levels continued to change... Only to pause as he realised, she wasn't the only one in range. "...You." Craning his head back, Tyzal stared across at Chris. In some broad scope... he would admit, there was a similarity. But was it enough? He could be gambling on this when so much was at stake, but by his own words, the ambulance would still be yet to arrive. And also by his own words, someone had to control the energy. And if that energy was borne of a similar enough source... "Sing Chris!" He yelled at the top of his not quite existent lungs. "Anything! Anything at all! Just... something to set a rhythm!" If he did manage to get through, he would quickly try to take ahold of Hibiki, relying on his resilience to protect him for at least a while. But if he failed to breach the barrier, instead left to flail against its edges, then he really was left to rely on the idol that might have lost her heart for song... |

Hot. So...Damn...Hot... "Haa..." Heavy breaths. Mouth drying out, throat becoming parched. That heat...Was it from her? It as hot before, but now...Heat...The soda was definitely sacrificed in vain. She gave one step back, the heat slowly forcing her survival instinct to act, to escape from this steadily increasing heat. "Too damn hot for a person..." Flight. But restrained. Would the hug help? Time would say it didn't. That scream. She's in pain. Badly. But...Too hot to even act. The redhead is a true companion, though. Hugging like that. How hot was it? 32 Celsius? 35? 40? Higher? It was unbearable even at this distance, so just how hot was she? At this rate, combustion is not an impossibility...But an increasing certainty A quick glance over at the blue-uniformed man. Weird uniform, first thought. Second thought was that someone was taking control. Rather badly. But still. Something, at least. Third thought was the sudden explosions. Wait, explosions? Yes, explosions. Origin. Find it. Look at sound of origin. "Under their feet...?" Yes. Under the feet. She could feel it, too. Another step back. Fire and explosions, even if it was just simple pressure. Dangerous combination. Stem the flow of energy. Knock heating girl out? Possibility. But what could be done? A rapidly heating girl combined with the other sending out pressure waves with her feet. Ideas, ideas. None were practical. Good, probably, but impractical. Ah, but that blue guy was yelling. At who? Another glance. It was another girl. Sing? Maybe. Ami remained silent, backing away bit by bit from the burning pressure duo, mind scanning and thinking. |

Loss of heart wouldn't even begin to describe it. So much that the moment someone had asked Chris to sing, the shifting color of her hair stabilized for the worse. The blonde mess disappeared as the short-haired brunette, Awakened Chris, emerged. "I normally don't take requests, but fine." her voice really didn't sound happy. She felt downright insulted even...yet the lyrics that were uttered were the ones that would help the situation the least. Killiter...Ichii-bal...Tron As they would actually activate the ability which resonated with Hibiki's so well. Her form would be armed with that of her relic's armor in a flash, one that lacked any sort of fanfare due to the currently active personality. Still...it felt even heavier for her, so much that it was so very difficult to actually think of a follow up song. Because any time energy was released, her relic seemed to absorb it in turn... |

Making these events non-canon, due to a lot of reasons. One of them being primarily that I'll write up her "evolution" as a side-story, rather than a miniplot. I had ideas with this that I'm not confident in and I'd rather do it later when my mind bounces back and I'm in my RP Drive again. As such, this is over. |
