Kaizo's blast hit the creature sending it staggering backwards into the hole his second blast had created. While it hadn't done large amounts of damage it seemed to have temporarily immobilized the creature who was trying to get out of the hole. "Excellent work, I'll go in for the knockout." Serenity smirked rushing forward. The creature wouldn't have any luck getting out of the hole in time however as a knee from Serenity slammed straight into it's face. Sending the creature falling on it's back she proceeded to stand over it and pummel it's face with multiple punches. One after another at an incredibly fast rate, she didn't have much time left in Split Second so she wanted to do as much damage as possible and the creatures face showed it. There was blood and even bits of what appeared to be bone sticking out of it's face. There was no smile or frown on Serenity's face, this was a job and she had to do what she had to do. It was as simple as that. Serenity however to absorbed in trying to disable her foe that she didn't notice it's pincer like arm grab her own. With unnatural strength the creature through her off of itself, she flew backwards her back making contact with a nearby tree as pain shot through her body as if it was on fire. "Damn, guess that's what I get for underestimating it." Serenity cursed under her breath at the creature who was shaking free off the hole and making it's way towards Valentine and the cat, it was walking with a bit of a limp but it was still moving fast. "Get out of the way, he's still dangerous." Serenity shouted towards Valentine. As time began to adjust back to realities perception she stood up, it was difficult but she could do it. She began to channel temporal energy into her right gauntlet. A small clock like symbol would appear in front of her gauntlet with the hand of the clock moving to the first quarter point. "Try to keep him occupied." She shouted towards Kaizo hoping he could either occupy the creature long enough for her or finish it off himself. |

Beware The Penguin Emperor

Fortunately, his plan had, at the very least partly, succeeded. He had been able to hit the beast, did some nice damage, and had him held down by the hole right below it. The girl with the, rather large, gauntlets, had been able to use that opportunity to lay a nice ground pound on it, eventually being able to cause some lasting damage on it, as marks started appearing on its face. Nevertheless, what she had been able to cause was not significant enough to knock it out cold, the moment in which she slowed down she had been deftly grabbed and subsequently thrown out of the way as if she was a rather large twig. Afterwards, it effectively escaped from the small trap that Kai had made on the floor, not surprising since it was only slightly more troublesome than stepping on a puddle. It charged once more, its speed no longer incredible, but still troublesome enough that it warranted proper caution from the gamer. A few seconds would be all he had to decide on his course of action based on the capabilities that the creature had displayed so far. The durability was troublesome, however it was not as if they hadn't caused any damage whatsoever, in fact, as evidenced by the limping and the hole on its face, they had succeeded in doing some considerable damage to the overall structure of the being. Figuring that his best shot was to simply abuse the weak points that they had caused in order to end the fight, he moved in front of Vale before shouting a few words. "Move aside, with that leg and its size he'll have trouble turning" As he said that, he shot two charges, both comprised of 100 pixels to the mysterious being. Even if his attacks wouldn't have the concrete destroying power that 200 pixels had, however, it was still enough to blow a chunk out of a sturdy tree, andhe expected that it would at least cause enough damage to slow, or stun him for some seconds. Kaizo was able to move with full confidence because he knew that even in the case that the creature closed in on him, he still had two strong tools that would aid him in avoiding damage caused by physical contact. His past experience in Hyakuji had eased the tension that battle would usually bring, as well as having the effect of increasing the effectiveness of his tactics. |

Valentine continued to watch the two fight against the creature, at the same time she was running her hand along the back of the cat. The texture was quite irresistible, not to mention the warmth from the cat was at a very likable temperature. During this whole situation, Valentine watched with a rather calm face, were it due to the cat or simply just a feature of Valentine would be anyone's guess. The two seemed to be handling it well until it was apparent the beast was coming for her, or rather the kitten but coming for Valentine by proxy. With the cat in hand, Valentine pulled the cat close into her body and hopefully dodged out of the way in time. After having fallen to the ground, Valentine remained on her back, looking at the cat and wondering why she actually wanted to protect it. "Hm, odd," Valentine said to herself as she looked over the cat again. Instead of getting up, she continued to lie on the ground and play with the cat instead, petting behind its ears as she became more and more fascinated with it. |

The pixels struck the creature sending him falling to the ground. It roared in anger, it didn't seem like it was able to stand back up again as it dragged itself towards Vale and the cat. Serenity smiled as she released the energy within her gauntlet. "Well then." Serenity spoke as she stood back up walking over, her back still hurt like hell but it didn't seem like there was any permanent damage. "You look like your enjoying the cat." Serenity smirked at Valentine, while she needed the cat at the end of the day to return it to it's owner there wasn't any reason that she couldn't let other people have fun with it, for a while at least. Turning to Kaizo she politely bowed her head, the conflict still probably would've went in her favor but it went much smoother with his help. "Thank you for the assistance." Turning to the midpoint between Kaizo and Valentine. "I will see you both compensated for your time and effort." Even though it was an annoying rule at some times, compensating those who helped in the mission even if outside the organization was a rule that Serenity enjoyed. Noticing the creature continuing to crawl Serenity walked over to it. "Don't know when to quit do you." She smirked as she looked down on the creature, it was unfortunate that it had to come to this but her mission was her priority. "You aren't getting the cat, don't make this harder then it has to be. " She stood in front of the creature which stopped crawling, it seemed pained. "You know what, I'm going to be kind." She lowered herself so she was near it's eye level. "If you leave, I won't even end you this time." A smile came across her face, the monster seemed to understand as it began to drag itself away back to the alleyway. Turning back to the others a smirk appeared on her face. "That went well don't you think?" She would give it a moment before she asked for the cat back, there wasn't any need to rush the situation after all. |

Beware The Penguin Emperor

As expected, the charging creature fell down with the combined strength of its own stride as well as the pixels colliding with its knee were too much for it to take. The result was a painful looking fall forward, however, with admirable tenacity, it kept on crawling forward, languishing on the thought of grabbing the cat for itself, regardless of the reason. Nevertheless, the speed at which it moved was so slight that Kaizo was able to take his eyes off it without much in the way of worrying himself. In the meantime, the girl that had been thrown by the creature had instead used the time that had been granted to stand up and make a comment on the so called president of an important company. The bluenette smiled as he saw the image of the short girl protecting the tiny cat, soon afterwards, he was finally able to remember where he had met her before. "Weren't you that girl at the mirror house a year ago or so?" Omitting the details of them having a small bout at the location, he went on to ask the question that would have bothered him otherwise. It was then that he was offered compensation for his time and effort. "Thank you, that would be appreciated." He accepted the offer politely, not having any reason to refuse, and, admittedly, having in part started the whole cat search thing for the prospect of receiving something in exchange. As a plus, he was also on a rather enjoyable battle, which concluded without anyone dying, or at least visibly. |

Valentine looked at the creature as it began crawling to her, watching it in a weakened state. She decided to stand up, continuing to hold the cat and lightly running her fingers through its fur. Serenity then took notice of Valentine, the girl who was still playing with the cat. "It is an interesting feeling," Valentine said, looking to Serenity, "I have never actually met a cat before so this is something worth noting." She then looked to Kaizo who had recalled her before she could remember, thus jogging her memory in the process. "I thought I recognized you!" Valentin called out, her calm face quickly changing to that of slight irritation, "There was that girl too. Yes, I remember you know." She then looked to Serenity who had offered to compensate them for their troubles, Valentine shaking her head. "I do not require your payment," Valentine said, "Or rather, I would like to take a rain check in the form of a favor. I am sure you are capable of that?" Not a second after saying that, the creature began moving again until Serenity crouched down to eye level and told it to leave and she would spare it. Just like that it took off without another word. Valentine also began taking off without saying a word, handing the cat to Serenity before doing so. |

Serenity smiled as the creature started to hobble away, the situation turned out for the best in all parts. She really should've dealt with the creature then and there but being to brutal was a bit of a bad move for being a face of The Court. She had to show some restraint even if it meant that the creature got to walk away to live another day. A small smirk crossed Serenity's face as she learnt that the other two had met each other previously. It must have been a while ago for their memories to only be remembered now but that was ultimately irrelevant in comparison to her mission. Taking the cat as Valentine began to left, Serenity smiled. "Of course, The Court's code demands I have to repay you in equal to however you assisted me." She spoke professionally holding the small and purring cat. Turning back to Kaizo she smiled. "Want to come with?" She had to go and bring the cat back to it's owner and she figured why not invite her comrade over to see the results. "After all, this way I can compensate you sooner then later." She waited to see his response, if he did or didn't join her it really didn't matter but it was fair enough to give him a choice. |

Beware The Penguin Emperor
|
Surprisingly, the meeting with Vale happened without a hitch, no animosity or remaining hatred leaving traces. She mentioned a girl, at which Kai couldn't help but wonder if that girl had been Arte or the odd mirror girl that shouted things. Nevertheless, their conversation was caught short as the short girl decided to leave the cat and go, not before asking for a favour in the future. The cat rested calmly in the other girl's arms delighted to be in the comfort of being held, it purred lightly to indicate its enjoyment. He observed the cat, unable to help wondering what that creature had wanted with it in the first place, the girl decided to invite him to return the cat to its owner. "Sure, I am intrigued by the cat in any case. By the way I never really caught your name. I am Kaizo if it helps." it was more of a statement than a question, but at the very least the boy wanted to find a way to refer to her as anything other than "hey you". |
