Glancing out the window of the train as it pulled into the station Serenity smiled, so this was to be her new home. It seemed rather regular, that was good. While Serenity didn't mind a bit of adventure especially considering her job, she needed a break and a place where she could live a somewhat normal life.

She had been debriefed about some of the scenarios that occurred in Hyakuji and she was somewhat interested. There were a lot of people of potential interest to the Court but she made it clear that she wasn't doing this to be a recruitment drive for them. She was coming to Hyakuji to try her hand at a normal life.

Feeling her phone vibrate in her pocket she fished it out and answered it. "Hello?" She sighed as the voice on the other end of the phone spoke. "Yes, yes I do remember that i'm still in your employment. Calm down Bishop, I just got here I won't forget about you all that quickly, I'll talk to you later." A small chuckled escaped her lips as the train stopped as she hung up the phone and put it back in her pocket and everyone began to leave, picking up her own luggage she made her way off of the train as well.

She looked around on the platform trying to figure out where to go. The irony of wanting a normal life and then getting lost like a normal person. It was strangely satisfying, something that would be detrimental to her in a mission was something that she didn't even mind now that she got to live a normal life.

"Ring ring~"

Lucid practically slithered in out of nowhere, all smiles as she greeted the newcomer. The fool looked the blue haired girl over, prancing about like she was a jester in her king's court. What an interesting look this one had, her expression said. Let us have some fun with her.

"New here, huh? I can tell by your eyes." The white haired assassin stopped, her mary janes clacking as she leaned in close. "You've got a nice scent~"

Not just the fragrance, but the personality could be guessed at. And gosh, it was a sweet one indeed. So hard to twist, so rewarding, so delicious! Oh, she wanted to salivate. But there was no time for that. She had to have some fun, no doubts or hesitations around it!

"So, my name's Lucid. How about yours, stranger?"

"Didn't know it was that obvious." Serenity responded the least bit suprised that someone could already guess that she wasn't from around Hyakuji. "I'll take that as a compliment." Serenity spoke in her usual laid back manner, this girl was definetly not normal. Serenity could tell as much from that little interaction with her, she had seen all different kinds of people in her work for The Court and she was not what one would consider 'normal'.

Pulling Finality out of her pocket she checked the time. It seemed like she had some time to kill so why not engage the strange girl that approached her randomly and smelled her.

"Serenity." A quick and to the point response, normally Serenity didn't mind taking her time but something about this girl put her off. "So, do you stand around to greet new people all the time or am I just lucky?" Serenity asked jokingly, she'd stay on her guard but there was no reason she couldn't be civil with this girl.

"Oh, it is. I haven't met anybody with that sort of scent in a while." Lucid tapped her chin. "There's a certain kind of innocence associated with it. Might you be... a heroine deep down inside?"

That was what she remembered it as. She tilted her head, a curious smile on her face. Oh, this Serenity even had a pocketwatch! Oh, she'd be a nice person to play with, that was for sure.

"I was here to meet somebody else. She's actually here, but she's not a speaker. So you don't need to worry about her." She looked past the blue haired girl. If Serenity followed her line of sight, she'd notice that Lucid was staring at a mirror. In the reflection, it seemed like there was a person standing behind the fool-

"Oh well, fair's fair. So, matters of fun from me to you. You like arcade games? I know a great place in town, Serenity~" She giggled, hands held out as she smiled in a goofy manner.

Serenity's eyes narrowed as she stared at Lucid, this girl was unnaturally sharp along with her unusual behavior, definetly someone that Serenity had to be careful around. "I don't know if innocence would be the correct word." Serenity replied curtly, her words were not only a correction of Lucid's perception but also a hint that she was dangerous herself.

Observing the situation confirmed her thoughts that the girl in front of her was not a normal person by any stretch of the imagination. "Why not, after all it would be rude to refuse an invitation." She smirked, she would go along with it just so she could observe this girl some more, try to get an idea of what her deal was and if she was a threat or not.

"One moment." She spoke in response to her holding her hands out. Opening her luggage she pulled out Tick and Tock before putting them on, sliding Finality into it's proper spot. "Sorry about that." She spoke as she gestured for Lucid to start leading the way. "Feel free to lead the way." Serenity stood by waiting for Lucid to go ahead and start taking initiative and showing her were to go.

"Oh, your definition of innocence is way different from mine. You'll see what I mean later." Lucid twirled her twintails, giggling as she did. "But I appreciate it anyways. So rare, so rare~"

She eyeballed those interesting looking gauntlets, but said nothing as she skipped along the new arrival. Oh, that was something she wanted to know, too. Questions, so many questions and things to find out, oh myyy~

"So, what are you here for? Education? Infiltration? Protection?" She spun around, her arms raised high into the air. Or as high as her short stature could reach. "I collect secrets sometimes, you know. Never let one slip, even. Can't let people mistrust me on that, you know~"

"It must be then." Serenity replied to her statement about seeing innocence differently to her. She continued walking alongside the girl eyeing her occasionally, she didn't seem dangerous but Serenity knew that looks often deceived the true nature of something. She knew that better then anyone considering what her little pocketwatch could do.

"Something of all three in a way." Serenity replied vaguely but truthfully, she could very well be here for all three if she got a specific job that required infiltration or protection. Granted the main answer would be for education purposes but that doesn't discount the fact that technically she would be there for infiltration and protection purposes if she was given a mission needing one of those two roles done.

"How about you then?" Serenity replied inquiring why Lucid herself was here for. "A secret for a secret seems fair." Maybe learning why Lucid was there would be able to shed some light on this strange person that Serenity had just met.

"Oh, it sure is. And isn't it all the more satisfying to defend that innocence no matter what?"

Lucid paused. Hmm. Wait, no. That didn't sound right. Oh well! She smiled again, giggling as she decided to go ahead with whatever came to mind. She kept on stepping around Serenity, smiling as she did. What an odd person, to have such a muted reaction to her antics.

"I see, I see. I'm here for number 3 as well. I just happened to learn a few things as a consequence~"

Unfortunately for Serenity, she had definitely garnered Lucid's interest. Somebody who fit all three criteria was sure to have a good story behind them, she thought. Yes indeed, answers would be had. She wanted it!

"The question is who, then? Somebody big with even bigger investment in you, hehe~! Sounds like me."

She tilted her head. Not a mad dog killer. Not a criminal. A good person. Hmm, hmm, could it be she was acting for the law? There were many people who protected the law, who savoured it like butter and spice. Or maybe she served the laws of a particular group? She'd find out. Without thinking, she blurted out a phrase.

"We commit their bodies back to the ground. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust."

That was the first thing she had in mind, once she abandoned thought and trusted her instincts. Was that what 'gravity' demanded of her? Very well, then! This would change things in a way that would distort the boundaries between them.

"Heh, that's a strange way of putting it." Serenity spoke as they continued forward keeping her eyes on the girl when she circled around the front of her. She wasn't going to spend time spinning around in circles to keep track of her but while she was her line of sight in the front she'd keep an eye on her. Lucid was getting more interesting by the minute, Serenity really wondered what was making her tick.

Hearing her answer being her in need of protection Serenity smirked, she had a instinctive feeling that this girl was important to someone big. Not unlike herself actually all things considered, that worried Serenity more than the girl's unusual behavior for some reason.

"You aren't incorrect there." Serenity replied when she guessed that she was backed by someone big. Serenity was sure that the situation was the same with this girl, the similarities were really strange. Serenity was a bit put off by how similar they were despite their contrasting personalities.

Hearing the girl speak again Serenity stopped and eyed her curiously before speaking herself. "In sure hope of the resurrection to eternal life." She remembered where she had heard that before.

She remembered her first kill, it was a rather simple job and one that Serenity took happily without any implication on how it would be, a simple hunt of a murderer. The irony of becoming a murderer due to killing a murderer was not lost on her, going to the poor man's funeral afterwards and listening to those sentences Serenity realized the true finality of everything.

"Strange? I suppose it is. But weird things naturally come from weird people, right?" Lucid crossed her arms behind her back and leaned forward, beaming as she did. "You and me aren't all that close to regular, are we~?"

Looks like some of the things she said were right, as Serenity smirked before she gave her response. Oh, specifics weren't needed. She could guess. It was probably a group she never heard of, though. There were plenty of those running around for whatever reason. Maybe wiping a few of them out would make the global chart easier to keep track of.

Of course, there was one thing she didn't need to be so attentive towards.

She put one finger to her lips, giggling quietly as she did. Oh, she saw that look. Serenity and them had the murdering in common, didn't they~? She stood stock still, eyes emptying out like a bottomless barrel.

"It hurt, didn't it?"

"That's accurate for sure." Serenity spoke as she eyed Lucid, it seems they did have a lot in common. The more she talked to Lucid however the less worried she was. Sure she was a little unusual compared to the normal person but Serenity herself couldn't really talk about strange things as if she was a normal person. She was clearly different then the average person herself and that made her strange by default. "I can't deny that." Serenity mused to herself out loud before snapping back to reality and smiling at Lucid.

When she asked if it hurt Serenity sighed, this girl was really good at reading facial expressions. Almost too good at it, Serenity honestly had to wonder if it was her power or something.

"I don't know if hurt is the correct word." She spoke somberly, the murder herself wasn't what really shook her a large amount. She had experience with death previously to her mission, she'd seen her own parents executed in front of her and she had seen other agents kill people before. Hurt definetly wasn't the correct word, if anything it was a lonely realization that nothing lasts forever. "If anything it felt lonely." As someone who used time as her source of power Serenity realized that everything had a finite amount of time and that was a depressing thought really.

Oh, the nice parts of Serenity's personality were shining! Lucid liked that, she really did. Of course, she was inching forward gradually. The blue haired girl was thoughtful in her weirdness, which made her even more weird! Oh, yes. Lucid was intrigued by that. The next part was even more complex, it seemed.

"What a sad look. Need to make it feel better?" She held her arms out to hug Serenity. "It feels bad, I can see. But it'll never be bad all the time."

She knew the kind. People harried by the fear of death, dreading each second that passed in useless waiting. How could she not? In her position, with all of those co-workers and bosses all living on borrowed time... There was some sympathy for Serenity, knowing she had done nothing to deserve the life of fear she led.

As Lucid offered a hug and her sympathy Serenity smirked holding a hand up showing her that it was okay. "I've accepted that everything is running on a limited amount of time." It was something she had to come to terms with, especially considering her grasp on the idea of time and the promise she made to herself. She wasn't about to waste what precious time she had squandering it on feeling sorry for herself.

"I can't squander what time I have left, I have something that I need to do before my time runs out." Serenity smiled, she wanted to try and make the world a better place as much as she possibly could. While she had to ruin peoples lives to get there the ends justified the means in her opinion, if she could save a million people she wouldn't hesitate to ruin a thousand peoples lives.

A small chuckle escaped her lips, the thought had crossed her mind that due to her powers she could potentially have limitless time which while truthfully an even more depressing feeling though it worked in Serenity's favor as well. "It's really the dark side of time when you think about it. Death and Decay claims everything eventually, sitting complaining about an inevitability is a waste of what time everyone does have." Even if she ceased aging there would be a time were her body would fail her and she would eventually run out of time herself.

"Oh, how interesting! I don't meet many people who get that, haha!" Lucid lowered her arms, but her smile seemed just a bit friendlier now. "They aren't aware of the seconds ticking by, Serenity. That's why they put things off. Hehe, if only they knew! Someday, sometime, it'll be the end of the line~!"

There were plenty who could talk about their impending deaths dispassionately, but only Lucid could treat it like it was her favourite destination on a train tour. She observed the blue haired girl speak about things, and knew that she wasn't exactly the type who would be driven down by such a realization. That said, it seemed like there was a trump card....

"I see, I see. Well then, Ms. End of the Universe, tell me about you. The you that stands here and now is very interesting!" She put her hands to her mouth, muffling her voice as she did. "The you ten, twenty days from our talk may be drastically different. Who knows? I'd like to remember you before you change."

Serenity noted Lucid's sudden increase in friendliness for lack of a better term. It seemed like she had found someone who had an extremely similar train of thought then her which was admittedly true. "No one seems to be, not sure if its a blessing or a curse in my case." Serenity let out a small chuckle, her career had taught her how to be extra weary of time and her powers cemented that.

When Lucid asked about herself Serenity let a small smile cross her face. "Not much about me really." Apart from her receiving her powers her life was surprisingly regular, even with joining The Court and becoming an agent who worked on some shady work.

"I'm just me." Serenity replied with a small laugh. "But if I had to describe myself." Serenity stopped for a moment trying to think of a way to describe herself, everyone had a general idea of what they were as a person but when push came to shove about a person's character it took time to decide who they were.

"A naive idealist?" Serenity responded, it was probably the most accurate statement. She was someone who wanted to give everyone in the world a happy ending in their lives, despite the fact that she had done much to ruin people's lives. Many would probably call her a hypocrite and to a degree she was but that didn't change her opinion. "I suppose I'm just a big ball of idealism and hypocrisy with the knowledge to act sooner rather then later." Serenity smiled before posing a question back to Lucid.

"How about you then? What are you like?" She decided that by now she should start learning about her new friend, it was a bit weird how quickly she warmed to Lucid. She wasn't sure if it was because she was reminded of herself by the small girl or if it was something else but she felt more connected to her after their talk.
