"Kuh!" Jonny felt his foot dig in on the demon's chest, before spinning his heel slightly so that, by his own momentum, he wound up riding atop it. As he did this though, he realised that the rest of the chaotic cadre was rather uninterested in him. Instead, they took advantage of his inability to immediately follow, and went to the very plane he'd just gotten off of, to steal its explosive cargo! Really, the only good thing to come of this situation was that, as even the demons had to stabilise the plane before they could so freely rip off the missile, that it gave the pilot therein a chance to escape. Good, whatever drove them and whatever their allegiances, they weren't quite so far gone as to absolutely risk their life over this.

Wonder what that said about Jonny.

The question now though was how in the world he even got over there, or back to the ship at all, for that matter. At one point he'd had a vague plan to convince the demon he wound up riding upon into providing him a lift - in exchange for its safety. The problem was, as finally sunk into his mind, was that these demons probably didn't care all that much. Which made negotiation an exceedingly difficult task. Plus, there was still Izumi, who-
Jonny blinked. Looking at it now, it seemed Izumi had his broom back - or half of it, at any rate. And in that case...

Jonny's hands briefly slipped into his pocket, searching... Aha! He hopefully wouldn't need it long, given he'd never been able to make this kind of 'trick' last more than a few minutes, but...
"Been a while, Catastor!" In Jonny's hand was... a children's playing card, bearing the image of some strange creature.
Indeed. I was beginning to worry you had forgotten all about me.
"Right, well, I need you again!" And whilst it would rob Izumi of his briefly gained speed, a great shine erupted from Jonny. That shine then shifted, pouring into into the card, which had its power at last reignite.

Jonny leapt from the demon, as before him, materialised the very creature printed on the card. He mounted Catastor like a rider would his horse, and indeed, kicked slightly to drive Catastor forward.
"We need to intercept that missile! Don't try to hit the ship!" Jonny yelled his command, and the duel monster moved to follow it, soaring towards the demonic forces. Catastor tried to make his way beneath the creatures, so that when he fired his laser, it would be up into the sky above, and try to give the demons pause... Enough to turn and grapple them with rather sizable limbs!

And whilst Jonny clung there, trying to keep himself from falling...

"That... power..." Whilst the Olympians and the Aesir were likely to be unrelated... He had now been around enough deities and their kin to get a feel. Meaning...

Oh dear.

-----------------The Bridge-----------------

“As long as you don’t give me a reason to cut your head off boy.” Sanngriðr threw her head back and laughed, a surprisingly hearty laugh considering the subject at hand. “No promises for the demons out here though, they’ve more than given me a reason to decapitate them. Or would you prefer dismemberment? No? How about gutting them?”

The Valkyrie of Carnage seemed to seriously consider what she would do with her prey, but Ethan’s inquiry about Sophia drew her attention. “Ah… that reminds me. Knightmaster Sigrún!” She pointed her scythe at the Knightmaster who instantly got on one knee along with everyone else on the bridge. “You and your knights are to return to your headquarters… without Sophia Antistita. I will be taking her to Asgard once the demon scum are dealt with.” As she said that, her eyes looked over to where Heleth, who had arrived on the bridge a little while earlier, was standing, but thankfully for the red demon that was all she did.

“As the All Father commands.” Sigrún responded instantly and without question, and Sanngriðr nodded in approval before flying off to re-join the fray. Once the Valkyrie was gone, Sigrún and her crew rose to their feet and returned to their posts. “We have our orders. Redirect efforts into repairing the engines, we leave as soon as we are able.”

Considering how Sophia was supposed to her protégé, Sigrún didn’t seem to care that much about the girl’s fate. However, she did pause to give a glance to Ethan and Heleth. “You may not agree with our ways, but orders from Asgard are absolute.” Ethan should know that best, he did read about it while in the library. “If you want to argue against Sanngriðr, be my guest. She will likely land on the observation deck once she is done. Do not expect her to reconsider though. Marini, go with them and check on Selene. Find out why she has not reported in.”

-----------------Outside-----------------

As Jonny’s summoned creature emerged from the light, the demons surrounding him were momentarily blinded and left defenseless against Catastor’s laser attacks. One lucky shot pierced the missile that the demons were carrying and sparked an explosion that incinerated the half dozen demons that were nearby. Seeing this new threat, more demons converged on the speedster and attempted to knock him off his steed.

Meanwhile, the two demons that had went for Izumi were also taken by surprise by his sudden burst of speed. His targeted demon clutched at the broken broom shaft stuck deep inside him as he struggled to fight against the Ordinary Magician’s assault. His partner rushed in to help, but abruptly stopped without warning, and a second later, his body split into two pieces and dropped from the sky.

Izumi’s victim blinked in surprise, and a look of utter fear crossed his face as a soft yet deadly voice could be heard. “Boo~” Before either of them could say anything, Izumi would see a gauntleted hand burst from the demon’s chest, clutching the still beating heart. The hand crushed the heart and tossed the demon’s limp body aside, revealing its owner to be none other than Sanngriðr.

“My, my, if it isn’t Sophia’s beau.” The Valkyrie of Carnage grabbed the Ordinary Magician by the collar before he could fall. “Nice touch there, trying to ride the demon back to the ship, but you know he would have bled out before reaching it right?” She chuckled lightly as if she was talking about the day’s weather. “You should really count on your friends a bit more, LIKE SO!” All of a sudden she threw Izumi straight at Jonny!

She did give the speedster SOME warning though. “Olympian, catch!” If Jonny turned to look, he would see Izumi flying towards him followed by a flash of movement towards the demons around him, and a second later the demons exploded in a red haze. “Mmmm… You never expect them to hold so much liquid until you open them up.” Sanngriðr licked her lips as she glanced over at Jonny. “Be a dear and take the mage back to the ship will you? I got some cleaning up to do~”

Before either Hyakujian could respond Sanngriðr took off after the remaining demons. In face of a literal war goddess, they quickly lost the will to fight and began to flee. Sanngriðr however, wasn’t in a merciful mood and quickly dispatched of them in a display that would do her title justice.

Just be thankful you weren’t close enough to see all the details…

-----------------A little while later…-----------------

After having her fun, Sanngriðr returned to the airship and landed on the open ruins of the observation dome with a satisfied smile on her face. “That was quite refreshing, it’s been a while since I got to get some exercise.” The Valkyrie stretched like one would after coming back from a morning jog and cast a glance at the red dome Jonny had made for Selene earlier.

Before she could investigate it however, the hatch burst open and Antonella came up along with the Hyakujians that chose to follow her. The smile fell off Sanngriðr’s lips as she directed her attention to the group. “What do you want? I thought I was very clear with the orders.”

Ethan was slightly relieved by the somewhat calm conversation he was having with the valkyrie. Not entirely calm, but calm enough that he did not feel as though his life was in immediate danger. That calm was slightly disturbed by the fact that Sanngriðr apparently had orders from up high to take Sophia away. Even more so when the Knightmaster just agreed to her orders without much of a response. Not much he could do though considering.

[Miss Marini, I would like to thank you for your aid. Again. I hope you do not mind.]

Before Sanngriðr greeted them, Ethan passed around a note for everyone present to read.

[I was wondering, everyone, what we should do at this point. Sanngriðr is going to take Sophia to Asgard, which may or may not be a bad thing. Right now the facts are too convoluted to me to make clear. I believe I have the least experience with this, so I'll go with the majority.

However, throwing this out there, I think that Sanngriðr can't be quite reasoned with, and that she will go and anything we do will just either be a bother or do damage to Sophia. Ergo, I believe, if it comes to it, we should go with her. Asgard is probably dangerous, especially since going to such a place would probably be suicide. Despite this, Sophia is a friend. Friends depend on each other. Even if she has something rather different in her.]

Heleth crumpled up Ethan's note, but kept it in her clenched hand.
Spineless, hypocrites knights. They were attempting to contain that Valkyrie at all costs like she was one of the most dangerous things to happen. Like they cared about Sophia.

Now, they pitifully tried to save their face saying Sanngriðr's words were coming from Asgard and they could not refute them. Weak, pathetic, spineless humans forced to bow in front of a superior power.

They accepted it, no objections. They let a girl be possessed by another entity to save themselves. Understandable, but now they were accepting the end result with no apparent regrets.

"I think the humans deserve an explaination" Heleth spoke, a flat tone of voice as she did so. The red demon intentionally put herself out of the group. She did want explainations too, but she also wanted to underline that, as a demon, Sianngriðr would treat her differently in any case.
"How? How did you end in total control of a human body? Why?"
The demon's eyes wanted to look at the damaged observation deck, look at the signs left from the battle, but she forced them to stare into Sanngriðr's red irises.

She didn't even look like Sophia's body anymore. How could that happen?
"Where's Sophia? Where's their friend? What's going to happen to her if you inhabit her body? Where's your body? Did you lose it?"

Heleth had an instant of hesitation, but then, her fanged smile appeared on her face, sharp as always "Or maybe, someone took it from you. Who, I wonder..."
Why? Just why did she just intentionally spat out that line, leaving it lingering?

Heleth certainly didn't have many clues, but a few things weren't right. Why would the order want to prevent her from possessing Sophia in the first place? How could the Mazikin show up with such a perfect timing? And why? Why did they attack the ship, if they were aware that a valkyrie as strong as Sanngriðr was in there? They acted like they wanted to free her. Were they sent there exactly for that? Who could gain from having Sanngriðr free? Why freeing her? Could Odin, or someone else in Asgard, have issued some punishment on Sanngriðr?

"Why don't you tell them your story? They may even take a liking to you too."

Heleth surprised herself for her lack of restraint. Did she want to die that badly?
At any rate, she also waved her hair once, and kept her eyes on the Valkyrie, ignoring every reaction from the other people surrounding her.

Catastor countered the demons that came to combat him, knocking them back with either his legs or a flick of his powerful neck. Jonny himself mostly kept himself holding on, though as to what or which part of the duel monster's anatomy, even he was not sure. Catastor was hardly a horse, and so whilst basic and obvious parts were easy to make out, identifying the rest was a great deal more difficult.
“Olympian, catch!” A sudden cry came his way, and Jonny turned to find the body of Izumi being flung towards him. Eyes widening, Jonny reared back to try and cease Catastor's flight, giving him at least a chance to try and properly catch the young mage.

And looking back at the source, his fears were confirmed.

Sanngriðr was quick to make a 'suggestion' that Jonny should return to the ship, whilst she dealt with the rest of the demons. Jonny wished to raise an objection, but was quick to realise that he could and should probably do so in another place. Catastor's presence would not last here forever, and well, with Izumi around too...
Jonny made his way for the ship, its observation dome in particular. He had someone to check on as it was, and given all the destruction done to the dome itself, it was probably the clearest place for a landing. So, Catastor flew, Jonny avoiding the temptation to gaze back on the valkyrie's work of destruction.

Once he had landed, Jonny made sure to help Izumi off the strange mount - should the mage need or accept assistance - before going to see the bubble that he had made. Still untouched... and damning his own command, he realised he could not open it from the outside. The only thing he could do, in all truth, was sit - using the bubble's impenetrable outside as a seat - and wait, till at last Sanngriðr returned to the ship herself...
And spouted off several words that had him raise an eyebrow.
"Actually, I heard no such orders, and nor can you give me any, as I owe no allegiance to you or your kin." Jonny made a point of laying out, shifting slightly on his smooth, rounded seat.

Of course, there began Heleth's inquiry into the valkyrie, causing Jonny to turn his gaze, curious. By what she was saying...
"'How' isn't that hard to guess. Its a more complete version of what Sophia did already - take on the power and form for a boost. So the mechanics are there... but the reasons remain clouded, yes." Jonny snapped his fingers as Catastor faded away, and he plucked the duel monster's card from the air. It'd be a while before his own powers returned... but there was means available to him.
"It seems strange though that one such as you should require a human body at all, as Heleth here says... and I would mind your answer, Asgardian." That means was why he spoke in a manner more formal than his usual tone, looking at Sanngriðr not only as a man...

"You are not the only one to serve gods. And mine are closer to Sophia's ancestors than yours ever were."

One does not simply eat one packet of mee goreng
He fell.

Well, by that I meant he fell off the odd flying horse and landed flat on his face on the ship deck. In all honesty, after flying around so much while not being in control of his own flight path was actually extremely disorienting and for once he was very eager to have some flat and solid surface under his two feet.

...He actually needed to sit there for a moment. Too much has happened, his brain was fuzzy and it really hurts...

He also felt nauseated. There was some lady who just appeared and... saved him somewhat...? But she just... she just did...

Wretched. Be glad there aren't anyone around who could see him throw up when he started imagining the violence that had happened in front of him...

He didn't sign up for this... Why does he... why does she has to be involved in something this terrible...?!

It wasn't that long after, the Ordinary Magician himself had found the rest of the students who were following one of the shipmates, being led up to what appear to be the observation tower, and meeting up with the woman from before. Everyone else had so much things to say (or write), there were so many questions that needed to be answered and so many things need clarification. The Ordinary Magician however, really only have one thing... or person, that he really wants.

"...Let her go..." Was all he could say, judging from what the others are saying about her situation.. Small voice, but with enough strength to show that he now won't have it any other way. Probably. "Let... Sophie go..."

“Well, I suppose you have a point there Olympian, I don’t have any authority over you.” Sanngriðr acknowledged Jonny’s words with a cat-like grin. “But you would be wise to recognize that there is a difference between having a history with the gods and having an affinity with them, and Sophia’s affinity with me is simply outstanding~” What the Valkyrie meant by those words would be left to speculation as she turned on Heleth.

In a flash the two was face to face, their noses practically touching. “You know, I thought it was weird to see a demon still living while surrounded by the knights of the Order, but apparently you are Sophia’s friend.” Sanngriðr spat out that last word, as if disgusted by the very thought of being friends with a demon. “I left you alone out of consideration for her, but since you’re as bold as to insinuate that I was banished from Asgard… I trust you are prepared for the consequences.”

The Valkyrie raised her scythe and prepared to cut down Heleth, but before anyone could do anything, something seemed to stop her and she looked up at the sky. With a bit of a scowl Sanngriðr lowered her weapon. “Consider yourself lucky demon filth. But I guess it’ll be more interesting to have Sophia kill you herself.” Grumbling something about being denied her fun, she walked to an open part of the deck and pointed her scythe up towards the heavens.

“Heimdallr!”

A brilliant pillar of rainbow light descended from the sky and struck the deck a few metres from where Sanngriðr was standing. There it persisted like a massive beacon, visible for miles around. “I will release my control over Sophia.” The Valkyrie glanced back over her shoulder at the Hyakujians. “But only after I complete my task of bringing her back to Asgard. I’ve been ordered to extend an invitation to you as well, but I couldn’t care less if you decided to stay here and leave her in my care.”

With that Sanngriðr stepped into the pillar of light and disappeared, leaving the Hyakujians to their thoughts. If she is to be trusted, Sophia will be waiting for them on the other side of this portal. The problem is, Sanngriðr never said in what state the girl will be, or even if it’ll really be her. But even then, what else could they do?

An affinity with her? What did she mea...
When Sanngriðr moved in front of her she did it in a blink. Heleth barely contained a gasp as her heart skipped a beat.
There, done. She signed her death wish. Stupid psychopatic valkyrie. Stupid little red demon that didn't know her place!

The jade haired girl waited a blow that never came. Sanngriðr stood there, her weapon raised, as well as her head.

Someone stopped her.

Maybe Heleth was wrong after all. Sanngriðr still answered to someone above her.
Obviously, she considered herself lucky: her head was still in its place, but she didn't appreciate the ominous observation following suit.
It could be more interesting to have Sophia kill her.

A fit of anger crossed her. The demoness clenched her teeth. Her hair shivered, but she didn't move. She knew she had no other option back there.

They spared her.

Why they chose to do so was still out of her comprehension, but the ominous threat that Sophia might kill her had Heleth wonder if she was spared exactly for that.
But as long as she was breathing, she could still try to avert that.

She watched as a rainbow colored light descended from above.
Sanngriðr said she'd release her control on Sophia when they would get to Asgard. Yes, they. Because there was no way Heleth would leave Sophia the hands of someone like Sanngriðr.

"Asgard, eh?" she said, as she waved her hair "I guess I'll have all the eyes on me" her hair rearranged itself into a braid as she began to walk to the portal. Her heart was beating fast. Asgard.
Heleth wondered how many demons dared to enter there, and how many of them managed to leave.
How hopelessly stupid she was. Where was the little selfish creature that cared only about herself? Still, Sophia overcame their differences, and helped her when she needed it in the Netherworld.
Could she abandon one of her most useful allies? Off course not. One has to preserve key resources!
Could she let one of the obstacles to the position of Vice President fall thanks to someone else? Off course not. Where's the satisfaction in that?
Could she ignore a friend in need? Absolutely not.
"Curse you father." she said as she stepped into the portal. Heleth began to understand why she was sent to Earth in the first place, and what Mastema meant when he told her to become a better demon.

As expected, the Valkyrie wasn't going to explain anything to them until she did what she was ordered to do. Thankfully, it did seem like the end result of Sophia being free of outside control was desired. Admittedly, Sanngriðr's little comments threw plenty of doubt of what was to come. Ethan decided to put all of that in the "hope I won't regret this later" pile.

The boy turned towards Antonella and bowed his head before giving her a small note.

[I thank you for your assistance in this matter so far. I do not see Miss Selene, but I do not think she is severely harmed judging by the expressions of Sophia's other friends, so do not be alarmed.

Now, I understand that you have your own duties and will be attending to them. This leads me to assume that we will go our separate ways from here on. While our meeting was short, it was not an altogether unpleasant experience. Thank you for protecting me. Have a good day Miss Marini.]

When that was done, Ethan realized he had one last thing to do before entering the glowing portal to elsewhere. Pulling out his phone, he began dialing for his parents. He doubted that there would be reception where he was going.

"Ethan? What is it sweetie? Mama's cooking up some potions to throw at the neighbors at the moment."

"Mother, I'm going to be gone for possibly longer than I thought. I'm apparently going to Asgard."

"OOH! My baby's going to Asgard!? How wonderful! A real adventure! Finally! I got to tell your father. Oh, be sure to bundle up. Nordic lands are somewhat chilly. Unless you're going near Muspelheim, then you'll be a bit too warm. Ah well, more experience for you right! Oooh! Yep, the potions are about done. Talk later sweetie! Bring back a valkyrie girlfriend!"

"Mother I don't think that...she hung up."

Deeply regretting his phone call, Ethan reluctantly stepped into the light.

Jonny grit his teeth at the valkyrie, but only in a brief flash. He restrained himself, knowing it was still some time before his powers returned to him, and it was only with them he'd be able to make good on any of his words. The valkyrie had proven herself fast there, and until he himself was capable of moving at speed again, there was no certainty on what the gap between the two may have been, whether large or small. Unfortunately, being one of the fastest humans alive didn't necessarily mean much to beings like this...
"One more step...!" And yet, when Sanngriðr moved, with apparent intent to harm Heleth, Jonny could not help but move to speak up in the demon girl's defense.

Fortunately, for both of them, it seemed someone else spoke first.

Sanngriðr paused, commanded by a presence unseen. Spiteful, but obedient, she turned away, and then called out, to a name which Jonny was... not unfamiliar with. But he doubted the image that appeared in his mind would match the reality...
As the Bifrost Bridge came down.
Jonny grumbled again as Sanngriðr told them of the 'invitation' to Asgard, but knew he had little other choice. Hopping off the bubble, he began to step...
But stopped to briefly face the valkyries.
"Get your ship over airspace that's far more friendly, and assess your losses. I'll see if I can maybe find them on the other side." He... was familiar enough with what happened to those who died in combat, by norse belief, but whether or not it applied to the Aesir's own servants, he could not say. Beyond that...

"And in here... should be Selene. Made it so it'll only open from within, but if she doesn't wake up any time soon, I'd... basically recommend taking the floor out from beneath her. Other than that... good luck." Giving a quick nod and a bow, Jonny then turned away, and raced towards the Bifrost, before being carried away by its rainbow light.
