It seemed like the familiars around him were not even trying to fight him anymore, they were just collapsing at his feet. Ricard knew better then to think that he was responsible for this. It seemed like the controller's concentration must have gotten interrupted otherwise there would be no other reason for the creatures to stop. Dispelling the magic around him he retreated to a safe area, his role in this battle had finished. He had used up all his tricks and had nothing else to help in the situation, he could only watch helplessly. Silently cursing himself he watched as the situation unfolded. The being seemed to have been hurt and halted, after hearing it's own thoughts it seemed like it wanted them all to kill it. Ricard thought that was a stupid way to think, if duty was what bound it then if it was unbound surely it could simply go out and live it's life however it pleased without needing to destroy the world. Unfortunately in his current situation he couldn't really influence anything, he stood silently observing. Being little more then a witness to history. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Her mouth wide open she couldn't believe it, the creature had not only sustained wounds but asked them to continue on. Dawn suddenly wasn't sure anymore, she had previously been more then willing to just attack the creature with everything she had but now? She hesitated, was it really what the creature wanted or deserved? She couldn't answer that herself, it seemed that a lot of people were split on the issue. Noticing a few of them restraining themselves from attacking whilst others went all out in attacking the creature. Why was that such contrast, the creature itself had told them not to give it any mercy. It had told them to throw everything they had at it, why did some of them even herself now have reservations. Previously they were throwing everything they had at it but now? Now they had reservations about attacking it? She couldn't understand, it was beyond her understanding. It was as alien to her as the creature itself. Gritting her teeth she decided on her course of action, it was something that she was going to regret but she wouldn't attack the creature. Silently apologizing should that be the thing that turned the tide but she couldn't attack something that was throwing it's on life away so easily. She wouldn't aid in that, she couldn't exactly do much more but she decided to wait and see what the plans were that the others had first. |

ZEHAHAHA!!

"The power promised to us is capable of that and more. For my whole life, I have prepared myself to fix one error in this world. It shall be done, no matter what." Nieves said stoically. "And as for you, Lady Saigyouji, you should know when somebody has returned from the grave like you. In my youth, I died in poverty and sickness. But I did not surrender my soul. No, I was saved by kindness! And to honour that benevolent act, I will do the same for this world. Your lives will be restored to you, and a new dawn will rise for you all. Greet the Sun and relish its light. You will never break again, not after the world is birthed anew." She extended her arms as if she was trying to embrace them all, but her attention was taken up by a new development. Nieves looked past Lavender, her eyes widening. A miracle had been carried out. Against all odds, they had wounded the Beast. And so, she would have to do the opposite. Against all odds, the Ascetic had to defeat the people assaulting their hopes and dreams before they destroyed it. Now, a fight truly was unavoidable. "I see. This is the choice we must make. We are all sacrifices, our lives placed on the altar as offerings for the era to come." She raised one foot, staring straight ahead at her enemies. "Let us see who will decide the course of the next age." She put her foot down, and the roof was demolished. Like setting off a bomb, everything was sent flying by the sheer power of the stomp. The Ascetic disappeared into that haze of dust and flying rubble, finally beginning to fight in earnest. -------- Lucid giggled, desummoning her shotgun. Okay, so Hiro had defended against the shots just fine. What now? She just shrugged as Misogi continued to circle around the Beast. So, it seemed like people who were going nuts against the giant thing could hurt it. Both of them figured that out easily, but they weren't exactly capable of matching that high intensity output. Just goes to show that achieving emotional stability had its downsides, really. Flying up to the esteemed mage on the back of her good friend, the assassin waved to him and giggled. "Yo, Boss Hiro! It was totally Lenny that tried to take you. By the way, he's totally trying to kill the Survival Studies TA right now." She pointed down to Frederic, who was being swarmed. "So, we'll be off helping to rescue people from being flattened by the Beast now. Good luck with stuff!" And with that, she crossed her arms, her laughter trailing behind her as she flew down towards the ground level action. ------- "YOU STUPID FUCK, I WAS LOOKING AT THE FROSTFIRE ENCAMPMENT!" The wrestler had murder in her eyes, and she wouldn't stop for anything. "THE ONLY COMBAT YOU WERE MOVING INTO WAS AGAINST US. I'LL KICK YOUR TEETH DOWN YOUR LYING THROAT, BACKSTABBING MOTHERFFFFF-" The vigilante had been so overcome by her anger that she stopped saying recognizable words. She just struggled with adrenaline boosted madness, screaming at the top of her lungs as her holy wooden arm dripped with sap. A lotus flower opened up, shearing the tentacles holding her false limb back. It was only a matter of time before she got free and started causing more havoc. John, on the other hand, had been left untouched. Though his body was jelly, his speed had not decreased even one bit as he pulled his bokken out of his chest and rushed over to beat Lenny with his heavy wooden blade. "You fiendish architect, purveyor of lies and misdeeds! Your tactical acumen is to be praised, but we condemn you for that same reason! No general worth his salt would send his forces rushing in through an ally's formation, lest he seeks to disrupt it!" With a more focused yell, the swordsman leaped in to deliver a stinging blow with his weapon. Meanwhile, up above the office.... "He's here! Awawawa...." Cariot had manifested in her physical form, her stretchy pink body waving around as she motioned down to the scene of the fight. Considering how brightly coloured she was and that she was floating quite a ways up above the scene, it was hard for people who were paying attention to the sky to miss her. After all, a 30+ foot tall pink girl pointing at something in broad daylight stood out quite a lot. |

Spike had been surrounded by chaos unsure what to do. They were fighting then talking. Attacking a monster they culdn't hope to defeat. It was going to destroy the world but now it wasn't sure... "I'VE HAD ENOUGH!" Spike's voice resounded as he made his declaration. Crossing his arms he leaned back on his bike. "GIANT MONSTER! STOP BEING SO CONFUSING AND INDECISIVE! IF YOU WANT TO DESTROY US DO IT! IF YOU DON'T THEN DO SOMETHING ELSE!" Wait, was the idiot trying to taunt the thing destroying the world? "THE REST OF YOU ARE JUST AS ANNOYING! HE'S NOT SOME GUY TO TALK TO AND IT'S NOT LIKE HITTING THIS GUY WILL DO ANYTHING BUT HURT HIS PRIDE!" He had more or less settled on treating the monster like a mountain or a building. It wasn't something you could fight. That was truly a shocking notion from Spike of all people. That wasn't to say that he wouldn't fight it, but you didn't punch a bomb. You threw it away from you. Spike seemed strangely satisfied with his loud declarations as he looked at the destroyer of the world. |

Floating in the air Bocky was able to see what everyone on the ground was doing...and a lot of that was nothing fighting the monster, but fighting each other! Though after a closer look he saw that it was them fighting Nieves of all people. Nieves being a turncoat...he honestly didn't expect it...but he didn't think stopping her would stop the monster, the only way to stop the monster would be to take it down and out! He believed in the bottom of his fighting spirit that the only way to save the day this time would be to completely destroy was was threatening them! He was going to put his all into this, push him move to very limits of his ability! "Monster! I wish it didn't have to be this way, but I think that the only way to stop you is to destroy you. I have no idea what you are, but what you soon will be is no longer a threat to the people of the world!" Current Ki: 150 Mana: 100 Floating down to the top of building He cupped his hands and began to do something he had never tried, focusing both his ki and his mana into one blast... "KAAAAAAAAAAMEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAMEEEEEEEE-" The strain of the two colliding energies working as one was giving Bocky a hollow feeling...not quite hollow but content, he was putting his all into this and he could literally feel all the energy leaving his body for this. The energy gave off a blue light more vibrant than any he had ever gathered before. He angled his arms so that the shot would move in a way so that it would head on an upward journey through the monster, causing enough damage to put it out of commission...if it worked. With one last look at those who were still fighting he looked back toward the monster and unleashed his blast with a might yell of "HAAAAAAAAA!" The large mass of energy leaving his hands and heading towards the monster with all the fighting spirit he had right behind it! Reserves Left: Ki: 10 Mana: 10

"GIANT MONSTER! STOP BEING SO CONFUSING AND INDECISIVE! IF YOU WANT TO DESTROY US DO IT! IF YOU DON'T THEN DO SOMETHING ELSE!" ... Could it be that simple? Silence and inaction from the monster as it listened on, saw the incoming attacks, felt the wavering, the decision of two of the three masters it had. There was a strong will for survival. For keeping things as they were. And even with that strong desire, some here had no desire for it's destruction. One massive clawed hand reached down again, a single finger extended towards Hyakuzor, as it seemed to cut into it. But this time it didn't look to be trying to destroy it. It looked like something lightly using a nail to cut into an orange. It's other hand, meanwhile, bent itself at an unnatural angle. There was no way something with bones could move that way, but here it was, doing it anyway. It's claws in an odd position, something unexpected happened. *SSSSLAAAASSSHHH* *RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP* The creature hacked into itself, and pulled away some of it's flesh. A pulsating, unnatural green light within it was visible, and seemed to draw in the various attacks. Swords, arrows, even a PEN seemed to aim right at the center of the light, before they all hit. The light seemed to shatter like a gem, beams of green snaking away from it as the beast gave another voiceless scream. The hand that had just cut into Hyakuzor, seemingly to free it's pilot, now pulled back and pushed against the ground, as the monstrosity fell to it's knees. The eyes that remained closed, and it's massive maw opened once more, though as opposed to letting out a cry of destruction, it let out a groan of death. Was this it's decision, in the end? The creature, it's blood, the light, all of it began to dissolve into nothingness. The link fading, there wasn't much one could tell of what it was thinking. It looked as though, however, it wasn't going to be around for much longer... |

"Uh uh uh" Frederic hardly believed what just happened. All the creatures that were swarming on him halted once again. A wide smile appeared on his face as he took his knife from the head of the last creature he planted it in. To be honest the man lost track of how long his knife left his hand and was stuck into that thing's head, so it was a real relief to have his weapon back in hand. Kneeling down, the man took his damaged hat, dusted it of, and put it back on his head. "Heh" he said, putting his knife away. The pulsating pain in his leg reminded him it was better if he'd leave. "I did my part" he muttered "Frederic Aymonier survived once again!" he shouted right after. In the following instant, the TA was running away, as fast as his injured leg could allow him to. He made the mistake of being in the middle of those things once, he certainly didn't want to try his luck a second time! --- Saigyouji gave into a sudden tantrum, that concluded with what appeared as a suicidal attempt to demonstrate her resurrection didn't restore her original self. Naja turned her back on Nieves, as her eyes stared in shock as the bloodstained pink dagger cut through the ex ghost's wrist. She certainly didn't expect her words could hurt the wrong person, but apparently that was exactly what happened. Instinctively, Naja let her guard down, and turned to aid Saigyouji. In the background, the towering monster reeled back in agony. Events were taking a sudden accelleration,to the point the full picture was impossible to really follow. At the sight of the supposed god in pain, Nieves declared her intention, and began her attack. A powerful, inhuman wave expanded itself from the ground the instant Nieves stomped on it. The whole roof was shattered in an instant, like in a giant explosion. Dust and debris flew everywhere, obscuring vision. Naja took the agonizing Saigyouji, an instant before the ground disappeared below. Ignoring gravity, the naga exploited her wind powers to maintain the same position. "What was this for?" she whispered to the bleeding woman in her grasp as she began to gain some height, out of the dust. Naja waved her tail, generating a gust of wind aimed at dispelling the dust cloud as soon as possible. That complicated everything. Should Saygyouji die, the monster would fall under control of the other two kings, and the faint glimpse of hope she had would fade. The lamia had to heal her, and bring her out of harm. Beside Naja, Aya felt the solid ground desappear from below her. Dust covered her eyesight and in an instant she was falling down. Bracing for impact, the girl landed down below in the middle of debris and concrete blocks. "Umpf!" She landed safely, barely keeping her balance as her enhanced muscles allowed her to not put a hand on the ground. Coughing once, she shook her head and moved away, the ground still rumbling, and threatening to crumble down again toward the next floor. With the dust fading, her eyes could begin to spot destroyed furniture and broken tubes. Water was spilling out profusely from them. That woman was strong, insanely strong. Possibly way more than she could hope to become. But she still was woman sized, and certainly less heavy than a motorbike. She could still punch her and fling her through a wall. Aya grinned her teeth as she took a concrete slab from the ground, and moaned slightly for the effort. As soon as the dust would fade, she'd throw the slab toward Nieves with all her strength, and attempt to follow with a punch in her chest. She declared war against the world. She had to be put down, somehow. ---- When the EVA units dropped them far enough from the monster, the first thing Amelia did was to resume her healing of the unlucky female pilot of Hyakuzor. She saw from above the fighting against those deformed animals, controlled by Lenny. Her eyes withessed the scene of the people on the roof, where that snake woman appeared, along with her daughter. Her heart skipped a beat, when she saw her, but she first had to take care of the unconscious girl first. She trusted her daughter, Aya could handle it. She had to. As soon as Heleth was free to move again, she yelled a "Finally!" Her hair waved nervously as a cat tail. Her dual layered eyes studied Amelia, already kneeled on Kouma. "Just how long does it take to heal her back to full health?" She asked. It was clear the girl did want to move and do something else entirely, possibly stabbing to death a certain traitor, but she was remaining there out of duty. Kouma was out of commision, and Amelia had to be guarded. "As long as it takes" Amelia answered. "Bah!" Heleth moaned, looking around for possible threats. The red demon's duty as a student council member included protecting those two, as such she remained there, her hair's strands floating behind. The sound of a building crumbling caused both women to turn and look over there. "Damn!" Amelia shouted. That was the building where Aya and those others were. Edited by Sota, Jun 25 2014, 02:13 PM.

Regrettable. That was all Lavender had to say about Nieves' choice as the ascetic settled for the option of Trial By Combat. Except there wasn't really a time to comment as the bluette announced the start of combat with one hell of a Shockwave Stomp, bringing her foot down with such force that the entire roof caved in, sending the group plummeting into the interior... or would have, had it not been for Lavender's powers, as the aeromancer hovered in midair next to Naja, as the Lamia intervened to disperse the clouds of dust just in time for the aeromancer to witness Aya take a shot at Nieves. (OOC: Double-team attack planned and executed with approval from Sota) Pointing an extended arm at the young metabolist, Lavender would send forth her aerowhips, ethereal-looking ribbons of compressed air shooting forth from her wind vortex to snag Aya - regardless of whether the girl's punch connected with Nieves or not - and send her a couple stories into the air, kept above ground by a lavender-colored disc of compressed air beneath her feet, which would dissipate after several seconds had passed, and if so she chose, she could use this as an opportunity to perform an airborne surprise attack! Once the young metalbolist was sent airborne, almost simultaneously Lavender would raise her other hand to take aim with her MGL-140, firing a 40x46mm M381 HE grenade at the floor just a couple meters away from Nieves, although the explosion was never intended to take out the ascetic - as soon as the explosive shell detonated, the aeromancer would charge forward, the dull boom of her explosive speed burst registering mere fractions of a second after the explosion of her grenade round, as the aeromancer seemed to just rip through the pall of dust and smoke with the fist of her free hand cocked back, her vortex concentrating around her punching arm. With a shout, Lavender would throw a right straight aimed at the ascetic's face, releasing the compressed air as she threw her punch to create an explosion akin to a concussion grenade, the explosive impact creating a shockwave that would run through the building's interior should the aeromancer's punch connect. (OOC: Selene and Jen's segments to come in subsequent posts.) |

Eva watched her bomber flying closer and closer to her designated target from one of the androids under her control. 30 seconds now… She regretted that it came to this, but she had no choice. Fzzzzzz A distortion in her view, as if something else was overlapping the image. The gynoid tried to strengthen her connection to the android, but the image only got worse, and soon all she could see was a collage of jumbled up images. Memories of her past? Video feeds from all the other androids? Random transmissions from unknown sources? She couldn’t tell, there was too much data. Suddenly the image cleared and showed the heavy lift ship once more… but also... Shun running at her? “FALCON TWO ONE ABORT BOMBING RUN IMMEDIATELY! THERE ARE FRIENDLIES ON BOARD THE SHIP!” The message, for some reason, was broadcasted on all frequencies Eva had access to, including Jennifer’s Skype chat. Fortunately that meant the bomber pilot also got her message and he quickly veered away from his target, but not before radioing back to say there was no one to be seen anywhere near the ship. The gynoid however, didn’t respond and continued to broadcast. “WARNING: OVERLOAD IN SECTOR 0x55AA.” “SYSTEM FAILURE. ATTEMPTING TO ISOLATE.” “FATAL EXCEPTION. TERMINATING DOMINATUS CYBER WARFARE SUITE.” The list of errors continued, each of them worse than the previous. It was as if Eva had lost all control of her uplink, and every error message was broadcasted until finally one final message was sent. “CRITICAL ERROR. SHUTTING DOWN.” All androids that were under the gynoid’s control fell limp, no matter where they were. Those in the sky dropped like a rock and crashed to the earth and those fighting on the ground keeled over as if dead. Fortunately the androids assigned to evacuation duty had already dropped off their charges so no one would be hurt. As for Eva in her real body at the Frostfire encampment, it would seem that she fared no better than her counterparts. She was barely standing with a hand against her head and her weapon limply against her side. The only thing she seemed to register was Shun running towards her, but looked utterly confused that he was here. “S…Shun s…sensei…?” The dragon youkai’s punch knocked her off her feet, but thanks to her weight she wasn’t sent flying. The gynoid looked up at Shun from the ground with blank eyes, lying perfectly still for a moment then suddenly bolting upright. “I…I called off my airstrike on the heavy lift ship, but I do not know if the message was received.” Her voice was more distorted than usual, and was overlapped by white noise. Getting to her feet, she looked around wildly before looking dead into Shun’s eyes. “Are y...you safe? How did you get here from the s...ship so quickly?" "...And that's that." Abe watched as the scene unfolded, so far away, no longer speaking the lyrics of the song. His arms lowered, and shoulders slumped, and he fell back along the ground, hat falling over his eyes. He let out a sigh, before following it with a loud, unsettling laughter. A laughter that drew on for several seconds, going on so long as it could before the Brazilian's voice began to break, and the chuckling turned to crying. His face scrunched up, a stinging sensation coming from his eyes as tears before to swell, and in one swift movement, the gun he had held was suddenly beside his head once more. "Its over. Its done. Now I can finally quit without letting those two other maniacs win instead." His grip tightened around the handle, letting loose his reason as to why he had not pulled the trigger sooner. Yet it seemed he might perhaps have a few others still lying in wait, as he took in a deep sigh, and whilst his finger was still touching upon the trigger, it did not clench just yet. "I mean... hell else am I meant to do? I killed a whole lot of people to get here... can you imagine the number of lives I must have thrown into chaos back in Tokyo? And that... thing, would have killed everyone, if not for you meddling kids. I would have been worse than Hitler - Hitler - Stalin and every other psycho combined." Abilio shook his head, over and over, his voice speaking nothing but self-loathing. "...Its done then." Leaping from the body of the beast after it had collapsed, Tyzal came to land upon the nearby shore, realising he wouldn't have long left in his transformation. One hand bracing himself against the floor, he then rose, and looked back upon the creature that had, for all intents and purposes... let them win. The matter left a sour taste in his mouth. The Beast had shrugged off the notion of actually caring for the concerns of billions of innocent lives that would have been the target of its devastation. But it was also subservient to the will of others - a will that had deemed it worthy of damnation, in the end. In a sense, they had not so much saved the world, as convinced its destroyer that it was not worth the effort. Yet in his pondering, he realised that other things were still afoot, activity stirring on the edges of the would-be battlefield. His gaze towards it, he gave a brief glance down at his Hunter-VG, estimating the time he had left... And then figured it was worth a shot, and so raced on towards the scene, making his way towards the scene of destruction between two of the so called kings, and a few additions to the battle. How he might intervene or change the tide, he was not quite sure - but he'd certainly announced his entrance, ready to aim some buster shots in the aggressor's direction should he spot one as he arrived. "Miss Smith! Are you and the others alright?" Hard to know how people had been doing when one spent most of the last several minutes atop a giant creature. |

"WHAT SORT OF COWARDLY RESOLVE IS THAT!?" Spike had an immediate reaction to the monster's decision to destroy itself. He hadn't meant the thing to kill itself. What sort of reaction was that. He gritted his teeth. It wasn't that he couldn't understand the decision. The monster had existed to destroy the world and if it didn't do that all it could think of was to destroy itself. He just didn't want to accept that sort of thing. Spike revved his bike to life, unsure what he intended to do. At this point what could he do but leave. "NEXT TIME JUST BE SOMETHING THAT CAN CASUALLY THROW A PUNCH!" He wasn't really sure what he meant. Maybe Spike thought the thing would reincarnate some day, or that in another time it would appear again. |

"Heh... Just... proving a point..." She answered the Lamia with a bit of a meek grin, admittedly wasn't quite expecting to get anything meaningful out of it and only did it out of her own emotional response. Regardless she was grateful for Naja's assistance. "Not that it would matter anyway..." The former ghost said as she regained her 'footing' in the air, turning to look at the falling, dying beast at the dock. "...It's over," She could feel it. It was dying. She was dying, or at least... a part of her that was within the beast... "...Do you hear that Nieves? It's over!" ~Hyakuzor~ He was tired. The console had been broken to pieces, showing nothing from the outside world. The cockpit was dark, lighted only by the statics from the broken consoles, and full of the stench of blood. Seth wasn't moving much anymore. He was tired. It was then the whole structure shook, jerking him awake yet again, though he was in no shape to really do anything about it. "What...?" As the downed mecha continued to shake, he could hear deafening scraping from above. The sound of metals being torn apart. Crashing downpour and damp scent of the rain from outside. As he looked up from within the cockpit, a giant, pointed figure crashed through the hull, stopping just mere inches from his face, much to the young man's shock. It then bent itself and backed away, tearing away the hull of Hyakuzor and exposing the young man to the fresh, damp air outside once again. It took him a moment to realize what just happened, before he immediately jumped up to his feet to get out. What he saw wasn't something he was quite ready for. A scream of agony beyond what his mind could comprehend tore through the atmosphere as the Thing... literally tore through itself, as well as allowing everyone's attacks to strike true to it's... heart. It was a terrible wound, a fatal attack. The thing was dying as it fell onto its knees. All by its own decision. Seth stood there in the rain, atop the Hyakuzor, silent as he stared blankly at the spectacle in front of him. At this point, all he could really think of was "...Why...?" ...He wasn't even sure if it could even hear him anymore... ~Frostfire Encampment~ Honestly, even Shun fared no better than Eva when it came to understanding what she's saying. "...Huh? What are you talking about, I was never there..." Part of him was actually worried if he had gone to far by punching her, but there's no helping that he was glad that she had stopped the attack, even though he himself doesn't know that there is actually no one at the heavy lift ship. Though he suppose this wasn't really the right time to keep berating her about her intention, that... can come another time he suppose. "Come on, let's get you out of here first..." Not that he wanted to dismiss the safety of being around the Frostfire armies, but he'd rather have her be far away from any area of conflict, just to be safe. he then picked her up, "Oh god you're surprisingly heavy...!" and darted off. |

"So that is how this story ends." Ricard observing the whole situation from a safe distance couldn't help but to grimace, the creature had chosen it's own death mortally wounding itself by ripping what Ricard assumed was its heart which attracted all the various attacks to it. It had effectively killed itself, out of all the possible scenarios this was the one that Ricard wanted the least. Surely there should've been another way to deal with this situation. Shaking his head Ricard sighed. "How unfortunate." It seemed like this was what most of the people present had wanted, the creature was dead and the world was saved. Whether the creature deserved to die or the world deserved to be saved, he couldn't say. No one had the right to say that. He wouldn't question it either, beginning to make his way towards the damaged areas to see if there was anyone that needed help. Still frowning at the way that the scenario unfolded. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ They had won.... Dawn could scarcely believe it as the creature sacrificed itself, ripping out it's own heart and allowing itself to die. The world got to survive another day in it's current state. Yet she couldn't bring herself to be happy. The creature had willingly sacrificed itself, going against duty and it's own life to preserve theirs yet they still attacked it with such ferocity. She couldn't understand how it could so something like that willingly. Sensing the link fading she sent one last message to the creature. "Thank you." She wasn't sure if the creature even cared for thanks but she couldn't let it go without at least making sure that it's sacrifice was acknowledged and that it's sacrifice would not be forgotten. He winced a bit as Kell spoke, he wasn’t really sure what she meant, his forces had never even gotten into the Frostfire encampment, but he assumed moving towards them was enough evidence for the likes of her. He also winced from the sympathetic pain from his Phylactery. The beast, enraged, gripped onto the luchadore with two additional tentacles, the heavy muscles of the limbs constricting around her midsection and her shoulder, before turning all their strength to slam her into the cement wall of the building. The Phylactery then skidded forward a bit and shot out two of its heavily armored limbs to form a chitin barrier between the Bio-artisan and the jello. The beast then threw Kell in John’s direction before standing back up to full height and moving towards the exit quickly with Lenny holding onto one of the Phylactery’s armor plates with his good hand and his broken arm being gripped by a tentacle, a number of tentacles remained near him as he tried to return to the creature’s back. “I’m fucking innocent you know” The Phylactery tried to move quickly on its chitinous legs, hoping that the brief combat would slow the two down enough. Through one of the windows he could see the beast tearing its heart out; really thats the only way he could describe it. It was the most deflating thing in his life, to see another being holding destiny’s fate simply kill itself. He swapped to Hive Mind so he didn’t have to think about it with the simple command to keep him safe. |

The Middleman (stubborn, yet relaxed)
|
"Gotcha!" Shad exclaimed, catching Excalibur in mid-return as he continued to fly head-on towards the now dying mass of terror and destruction, balancing carefully standing up on the broom. His persona grimaced at the sight of Shad's robe moving halfway upwards to reveal his unique leather loincloth flapping in the wind, but said nothing as his apprentice sat back on the rod part with sword in hand. "What's that?" Excalibur whispered something in his ear, in which the size mage frowned in annoyance. "It's dying already? I barely even got to hit it with our biggest attack." He muttered, beginning to turn back since there was no worth kicking a near-dead mule. If it were to suddenly regain it's strength and go on the attack, then he'll attack it full force with their strengths combined. <Oi, Ms. Makoto? Awhile we have all those Arcadian forces on the ground, could it be possible for you to give the order to round up the ringleaders of this major fiasco? Mind you, they may have saved the world, but they haven't been given amnesty yet for destroying Tokyo or causing havoc all over Hyakuji. It's up to you if you want them to be captured or escape.> He thought-spoke to his commander over Arcadian thought-speak, hopeful that those three were going to come along willingly to be processed into the justice system for their crimes. |

The creature's gruesome suicide was enough to deter Fate's onslaught. The embers of onslaught finally diminished, leaving the young girl falling from the small height she had gained... faceplanting into the rocky surface down below. "Uuurgh..." Her jacket had partially ripped from the new use of her abilities, numerous rips covering her uniform and even her body. Yet, the area where she had been shot seemed completely unharmed. Not even the blood that spilled earlier still remained on her body. It had washed away as the dark fire had. "What the hell... Colonel?" Fate's mind finally grasped at the clarity left behind from her emotional outburst. What did she do? How did she do what she did...? Is the monster dead, now? It just killed itself, but did she, somehow... help? She did, right? The natural blonde, whose hair was now charred black, reached her left hand forward. It trailed up into the sky, slowly... ...Before darkness itself wrapped around her hand, erupting upwards in a blaze of hellfire. Slowly, it would carve itself into a pitch-black blade that fell into Fate’s hands. With a glinster of false-metal, she would ready it besides her body. No way. it wasn’t going to end itself… she was going to give it one final blow. With a strong leap, she tossed herself forward. With a final cry of strength, she would swing the blade at the dissolving creature, again and again. Even though, moments ago, she had become completely convinced that this being could not be harmed… to the point where she succumbed to despair, now she couldn’t do anything but feel angry at how easily it was stopped. ”You…” Fate’s first chance to become a hero had been completely butchered. It hurt. And that very same pain, she wanted to carve into the monster’s fading corpse. Einhart pitifully wiped her tears from her eyes and had started to charge an attack. But before she could generate the ferocity needed to match a beast like this, it had already started to carve it’s own heart out. ...No. Nonono. It was dying. Fading away. Inwardly, Einhart screamed. Yet her lips moved not. Her eyes simply scaled around her enemy’s corpse as it slowly faded away. The chance for her to fight something like this… it would be the chance of a lifetime. The chance… the chance… This time, the young girl didn’t cry. Her eyes, her expression, were completely unaffected. The tears still on her face had already started to fade. She simply scanned around. And around. Looking for noise. For discomfort. Annoyances. Something to fight. Anything to attack. Anything. With a quick step, her fist flew at the first person to cross her eyes. Luckily, that person was Amitie. While she had been caught off guard by what was going on, her senses were active enough to react to Einhart. Luckily, the girl was one of those that accepted her energy… so Amitie could effortlessly deflect the attack, as her powers provided her with immunity to her own. But that was all the energy Einhart seemed to have. After that one, single punch… she seemed to lose her will to remain awake, and she would pass out. With a slight ‘whoa’, Amitie would catch her. Her mouth would open, but she saw the exhaustion and emotions on the younger girl’s face. She decided to remain silent, and completely kept to herself. As for the Colonel... He returned to the same shadows he came from. Was he truly even here...? Edited by Hayate, Jun 27 2014, 02:42 AM.
