Ricard heard the announcement that one of the students had started working against them, attacking the Frostfire encampment. Cursing Ricard altered his direction to head towards the encampment and see what assistance he could offer, if he could do nothing to the main creature he could at least make sure that whatever greater firepower was allowed to proceed unharmed. Arriving at the encampment he noticed that the swarm of creatures had seemingly stopped in its tracks, most of the encampment were fighting back now firing upon the creatures. Ricard stared at the creatures, he recognized them as the creatures that had assisted him against the fire demon back at Hyakuji. So it was him that had started working against them. "Damn." Summoning his blade Ricard activated his magic, he couldn't exactly go into the middle of the swarm with so much gunfire being unloaded into it. He could however try to take out as many of them as possible in one go. Ricard began to slice with his blade towards the swarm, blades of wind erupting from his slashes flying towards the mass of creatures, if he could at least thin out the herd that would be more then sufficient. If needed he would dive into the fray as well, after all everyone else was fighting hard. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Why did it stop?" Dawn questioned as she held her fire for a moment. The beast had seemingly stopped, Dawn looked up and notice Hiro floating at roughly face level to the creature, had he managed to stop it somehow? Holding back from firing upon the creature more Dawn simply waited, this situation was a strange one to say the least. She wasn't sure if she should continue firing upon the creature to try and damage it more while it seemed distracted or just wait and see what came of this. Regardless her abilities weren't doing anything, waiting seemed reasonable to conserve her magic if anything. Edited by Shadies, Jun 8 2014, 03:28 AM.

One does not simply eat one packet of mee goreng

BOOM! A laege metallic piece of Hyakuzor flew up from its main body as though something powerful had struck it from below. The cause of it soon appeared, Seth Ryouga, with bleeding cuts, bruises and injuries as well as major burns on various parts of his body, stepped out of the burning wreckage of Hyakuzor, cradling in his arms a broken and unmoving body of the girl Kouma Kotoka, the co-pilot. They're both alive, but only just. "...Keh...!" As soon as he stepped off the wreckage the young man fell to his knees, unable to hold up his own weight and the girl he's carrying. Luckily however, he wasn't all by himself. "Take... take care of her first... please...!" He growled impatiently to the Eva units, Elizabeth, Amitie and Amelia, very much refusing to receive any kind of treatment before his servant was taken care of. He would have done it himself, but...he's tired. Adding to his physical injuries, his mind was terribly numb from the excruciating pain he could feel as... Hyakuzor's body was crushed to smithereens... Each broken joints, every pieces of the steel body being snapped and smashed... all the agony that could be felt had Hyakuzor been capable of pain... Was still fresh in his mind. He's tired. The youmg man slumped to the ground, leaning against the fallen, burning Steel God, the heat from the inferno only made bearable by the downpour. His eyes drifted aside slightly, watching in bored hopelessness that not even the robot's power-negation capabilities could stop the Thing from advancing. He didn't react even as the Thing took a step onto the shoreline, scoffing in resignation at the heavy tremor before looking away. They really can't do anything against it, can they? Well. Dying at the front lines isn't too shabby, really. It's just too bad no one is going to be left around after this to remember their names. At least the music is nice. Would go well with the final moment of Earth. ...Is it just him or is everything oddly quiet? Also wait what, music? He turned back to the beast to find an incredible sigh. It stopped. "Who would have thought, you really can talk to that thing. Nice call kid!" Another surprise for the young man just nearby, this time it came from a robot, much much smaller than Hyakuzor, reaching up to only about three times of an adult human. It was a very vibrant blue reminiscent of a police officer, with a signature red and blue siren light blazing from its chest. What's even more surprising to Seth, is that there is a ver familiar sharp looking girl with long brown hair standing atop the blue robot's shoulders, and an equally familiar guy blond guy in black and white who is apparently tinkering with the robot. "Mina? Kirisame?" He called out to the two, uncertain on if he shouls believe his eyes but sure enough by their response... "U-uh... Yeah, of course, I thought it all up! I mean, yeah I'm the genius Kirisame Izumi after all!" The blond one in black and white replied to the robot while looking very proud of himself. "Che! I do not want to hear that from someone who hid in his closet for the whole week after hearing of this monster's coming," Replied the girl on the robot's shoulder who could pnly be Mina, as she hopped down before... spontaneously kicking the Ordinary Magician on his side in annoyance. "Now come on you two, you can fight after we're done here," Came the robot's voice before the front part of its torso opened up, only to reveal the cockpit and the internals of the robot, as well as the actual pilot, an adult with short, swept back hair wearing a jacket over a shirt and a pair of jeans, with a police badge clasped on the jacket's shoulder. "Is it ready by the way?" The police officer asked the Ordinary Magician. "Y-yeah, kind of..." The Ordinary Magician replied as he rubbed the painful spot on his side where Mina had kicked him. "It's not going to last long though, especially with the load that it's going to take..." "It's good enough! Now get off there!" The young woman didn't wait at all as she leaped up into the cockpit before unceremoniously shoving the real pilot off his seat, much to the latter's chagrin. Soon enough it turned to concern however, as Mina slammed the cockpit hatch shut the police officer yelled oit, "Are you sure you're doing this?! I mean, it's really dang-" "IS THIS REALLY THE TIME TO BE WORRIED ABOUT MY LIFE?!" The young woman yelled out through the speaker of the blue police robot, the volume actually knocking the Ordinary Magician and the real police officer off their feet. "I made this clear before and I'll say it again! I don't care if I'll end up losing my mind or my power or even my life after this, there is no way that I, Ace Inspector Mina Sumiregawa will let this world be destroyed!" Neither the Ordinary Magician nor the Police Officer could really say anything afterwards, much too stunned by so much power coming from the voice of one girl. She was clearly satisfied, piloting the blue Police Gespenst to face the monster, it reenacted how a human wpuld take a deep breath before... "EVERYONE, SPEAK OUT AND MAKE THE VOICE OF YOUR HEART AND MIND HEARD!!! DON'T LET THE MAGE TEACHER HANDLE THIS ALL BY HIMSELF!!!" Mina Sumiregawa, self-proclaimed Ace Inspector, a psychic with extremely high potential and.absolutely zero actual talent, yelled out with a powerful boom through the large speakers that an actual police combat robot should have, powered by the vast amount of magical energy reserve of the Ordinary Magician's pocket sized magical nuclear reactor, the mini-Hakkero. Her yell alone would send out a widespreading wave of psychic energy, large enough to cover the shoreline with her mental influence. An extremely crude and not very well-thought of tactic, what it would do is basically act like a massive invisible field where everyone with the capacity to even think, would be able to communicate freely with each other. Including the beast. Already however, its taking a toll on her, unseen behind the armor of the police robot. ~In the meantime~ "It... stopped...?!" A certain former ghost lady said in hushed shock as she rose up urgently to her feet, stopping short of accidentally stepping off the edge of the building she's perched on out of sheer surprise. Of all the things that could have stopped it... while she wasn't there to be in the fray, she could still realize from the connection between herself and the beast... Of all the things to have stopped it... Communication worked...? |

Amelia moved swiftly from her position thanks to her enhanced speed, and quickly distanced Heleth. The red demon, with some of her hair wrapped on different parts of her body to heal the superficial injuries, quickly trailed behind. In the sea of flames and bended metal scraps, the doctor's hope to see some survivors decreased with each step she made to get closer. Damn...how could anybody survive through something like that? The doctor stopped when a large metal plate bursted away from the remains of the giant humanoid robot. A boy, with an unconscious girl in his arms came out of the hole, only to fall on his knees. From other directions, her eyes spotted a young red head trying to reach them, a gynoid she reckognized as Eva, and another girl too. Amelia pushed a large metal plate out of the way, as she reached the two. A strong noise of shrieking metal could be heard as she did so, mixed with a groan coming from her for the effort. The sound of the flames covered that of Heleth's steps as she arrived just behind Amelia. That woman was strong, if she could bend and push away a plate like that. Amelia approached the two: the boy was badly injured, but his voice requested that the girl could receive some help first. At a glance, he looked the most injured of the two, but she complied to his request anyway. "Leave her to me" she said as her arms took the unconscious girl and lifted her weight away from Seth. "Seth Sempai!" Heleth's voice came, as the demon girl arrived and saw who the survivors were. As she approached, her hair was already growing forward and as soon as she arrived, some small strands already made contact with Seth's hands and burned face. "I'll fix you! Stay still!" Her voice sounded more like an order, but a note of worry was all there as more strands began to envelop his limbs. At a glance, he was hurt pretty much everywhere. Amelia took a few steps away from the wreckage and let the girl down. Kneeled beside her, she took a deep breath and, with a hand on her neck and the other helding her arm, began to use her metabolist skills to force the girl's body to hasten her regeneration, poiring energy through her. As soon as she'd heal her, she'd move to the injured boy. Under the rain, every second seemed to last an hour. Amelia turned her head toward the sea, only to realize the huge creature was there, stopped in its tracks. Whatever the reason, it just bought her enough time to heal the girl, and possibly even the boy. Speaking of which, the red girl was already taking care of, using her own hair to bandage him? "You're in debt now!" Heleth said with a somewhat forced grin. Was it some attempt to joke or was she serious? Her hair kept moving on his injured skin, and Seth could immediately feel her skin to feel better wherever Heleth's strands were moving. "It may take a while, but at least you won't be bleeding." The girl took a step back and turned to look around. Just as she did that, the parts of her hair binded on Seth detached from the rest of her hair. "You'll feel better, but it will take a day for you to recover. You should find a stronger healer now" Just as she made her observation her hair grew back to the same length she had as she arrived. When the echoed message spoke of a traitor among their ranks, both Amelia and Heleth reacted. Lenny...the name behind those twisted creatures that were on her side during the Metro affair. Amelia's eyes glanced around her, she certainly could not leave her position. "A traitor among our ranks!" Heleth roared out "We'll make sure to hunt him down! That traitor will be punished!" ---- "Woaaah!" Aya made a surprised shout as she reappeared, held tightly by a floating Naja a few meters above the sea, and distant enough from the nullification pulse to sort any effect to them. Despite the attempt, the creature was unaffected, and the risky move simply ended to hinder the defensor's efforts. "Even that was useless" the crystal eyed woman stated. Then, after another step forward, the creature stopped. Just what was going on? "It's our chance to hit it!" Aya shouted immediately "Bring me there!" "Calm down kid" Naja interrupded her with a sharp tone of voice. Her eyes ran around, and spotted someone, a small human figure floating above the monster. It was as still as the monster below it. Could he be the one that managed to stop it? Aya followed the gaze of Naja, and her eyes saw Hiro too. ---- Frederic's attempt to reach Lavender was useless, as the teacher already flew away to carry a student safely away. With the monster getting closer, all he could do was to do the same as her, and see if someone wasn't unable to leave. Of course, he could not fly, but he could still help anyway. Then, the message about a student gone rogue had him change his path again. If that camp could hit that monster, he could try to defend that instead. "I should get me a gun license" he observed as he took a sharp knife from under his jacket. "This won't be fun at all" he observed as he began to run toward the camp. The Middleman (stubborn, yet relaxed)
|
Shad shot his savior a dirty look, his good mood suddenly dampened by disgust towards Fate at the moment. "I'm only a foot shorter than you, you know. And it's only because my magic has been messed with to only affect inorganic matter that I can't become taller." That said, he turned to check on the beast which appeared to be standing motionless, as if waiting for something. "Huh, I think one of our attacks must've destroyed it's receiver or something. Weird. But since you asked, I suppose we could try stuff like get out a bunch of oil tankers to surround the lower half, cut them all open to spill flammable oil into the water and then ignite them all at once to torch it. Or I could shift my metal ring into a steel pole, apply a super-fast cementing adhesive on one side, fly to the top of it and plant it on the top of the jaw, and allow the big, nasty storm to continiously blast it with lightning of it's own creation. Or use the Kamigami Brush I have to create a legendary weapon that can slay the thing, but I'm not exactly a good artist so it might fail or shatter with one swing. Heck, currently I'm searching for that time stone fragment I found after...oh, wait, you weren't there. It's just something that may or may not bring a person from the future to our present...or the past, I can't tell which. Anyways, though I doubt the person I summon could hurt that thing, the knowledge of how it was defeated in the 'here and now' might be useful, given that the Empire shouldn't have existed if this thing was still running about. Someone from that future may know it's weakspot in other words and could tell us how to exploit it. Does that make sense to you?" He asked, still searching through the backpack for the fragment. "Anyways, could you acquire a rifle or a semi-automatic from one of the soldiers, please? If those weird monsters that just popped up take out the army nearby, we might lose any chance of holding that thing back, but with a long-range gun with a scope, I could even the odds a bit and could deal some strong damage to that creature if it starts to attack again." NICE DRIVE!
|
It was a long shot, but it had seemed to work. A spiraling chaos of thoughts and ideas surrounded Hiro Tsukasa even as he sought to make sense of the flooding information. Floating, defenseless in the sky before the Creature, his body shuddered for a moment barely able to handle the situation he has thrust himself into. And then it came. A clear line of thought. A means of communication with this Being. It seemed willing to listen, but even as it finished its greeting, Hiro felt like he might lose control of the entire process at any moment. Despite years of training and his own mental fortitude, this thing was clearly on another level. He had not faced such a challenge in some time. ==== ![]() And yet you're the only one... the only one whose mind remains a mystery to me... ==== Tch, Hiro mused internally, this could backfire and end me at any moment... why am I thinking of her at a time like this... Even though things felt as if they might all crash down in a split second, he knew he had to soldier on as best he could for the matter and try to glean any information that could help them. I can think, he responded to the voice addressing him, All of us can. We small ones are what we call Humans. I would not call myself their Leader. Perhaps there are others better suited to have this dialog with you, but here I am. As best he could, Hiro tried to filter forth what general memories of his own he could to relate life on Earth and the human condition. I know we must seem so small and insignificant to you, he continued being careful at his own choice of phrasing, But this world... this life... it is something precious to us all. All of this, we don't desire to fight like this. But so many of us present feel like there is no other choice to protect the things and the people we care about. That's why I'd like to try and understand your angle in all this, Hiro concluded with desperation in his voice, I'd like to be able to let all of them understand. For what purpose is this happening? Must it happen? Can't there be another way to resolve all this between thinking individuals? We know nothing of your perspective or your stake in this whole thing. But I want to understand. I will listen... And then it happened. A powerful burst of seemingly magic-fueled psychic energy. Lost in the sea of the Entity's thoughts and floating defenselessly in the sky, Hiro was unable to keep tabs on the going on's of the shoreline itself. He didn't know who had caused it, but he understood its effect immediately. Hiro felt troubled by the matter. Perhaps it was in good intentions, but there was really no way to understand how this thing would react to a new flood of thoughts. Hiro had been reserved and careful in his selection of speaking to the Creature, but it was a safe bet others might come off a bit more harsh given they were fighting to stop the end of the world. And hadn't he overheard chatter on the way in of strange creatures in the area fighting on the Monster's behalf? This Thing didn't seem to need servant creatures. If it was that Kid again, then it meant he had a direct line to the thing he was mindlessly hoping to bring about oblivion. As everyone else's minds were veritably forced into the conversation, for just a split second many would hear an all too familiar voice drowning in all the noise pleading back at them, No...wait... |

Kaito barely managed to escape the pulse, but riding on water at the constant speed he was going was kinda hard. More so since he was trying to keep this armor together. But his powers weren't nullified so that was a good thing. Taking off his helmet to take a quick breather, he was drenched in water from the rain. "There's no end to this madness! This thing is indestructible!" said Kaito gritting his teeth. Nothing they did was working. The more they tried the more it seemed like they would lose this. He watched as the beast marched towards the shore as if the attacks were just annoyances and then...it suddenly stopped?! Then he heard someone shouting to let their voice be heard? Can we even save the world? Why doesn't this thing just leave!? Please spare us. I cant give up hope yet! Gotta keep fighting! I'm scared... Edited by Kaito, Jun 9 2014, 05:37 PM.

As E.V.A’s broadcast reached Lenny as well as those who would hunt him. To him the order signalled his fear that he actually had no major allies at this moment, which was crippling since his swarm had been disabled after being fired upon by the Frostfire and River City combined forces. It left him deflated, they had barely reached the walls of the encampment and hadn’t been able to cause any retaliatory casualties. If he was captured now he would have nothing to show for it. More worrying was the fact his forces had been disabled at the most inopportune moment, Hiro’s emergence in the sky seemed to have halted the beast, which was ill. Lenny’s Dart haemonculi would have been able to disable Hiro possibly, but at the moment they were under heavy weapons fire and unconcious. His position on the crane was disadvantageous, so he began to ride his Phylactery off of it; the massive spider reaching leg length over leg length down. The swelling in his skull was an indicator that the Hive Mind was almost ready to be summoned again, but he was far away from the swarm, they would take far too long to return if he was accosted. He and Phylactery headed towards the nearby foreman’s office, crawling through a broken open window into a large, cement holding area. Hopefully he would escape notice. As he felt his mind expanding outwards due to the Hive Mind’s resurgence he thought hurridly, hoping that he could wait out the clock. By this point he was pretty sure his plan had failed. They’re going to kill me and the thing They’re all traitors Hopefully I can live past this day The only hope is to escape or wait for her to return |

There were words, there were shouts. The monster had stopped. People were shouting. People telling her to... speak to the monster? Was that it? And there was a voice that reached her mind, somehow. Telling her not to. It didn't matter. Natsumi had nothing to say. She just felt relief, for however long it would last. There was a broadcast about some sort of traitor, too, but she didn't know how to answer that either. It wasn't meant for her. She stood there, just another part of the crowd. But, almost unconsciously, her feet moved, towards the wreckage of Hyakuzor. To help. It was the only thing she could really do right now. Silently, as the ice covering her hands melted, water dripping in streams from her fingers and adding to the rain, Natsumi began to put out the fires. Then, after a moment, she thought better of it, and began to smother the ones she could with the soles of her shoes. Every so often, she glanced up, at the monster, at the figure floating near it. For now, for her, there was quiet. She would be ready when it ended. |

Beware The Penguin Emperor
|
A sigh of relief was emitted by the 8-bit humanoid that he had turned into as the tackle allowed for a successful save of the reckless duo that would turn into monster food in few seconds due to the anti supernatural field. A second was more than enough for him to reach safety with both of them in tow, one of them reacted in the meantime, realizing the monstrosity with which they were facing. Without dropping hints as for the reason, the creature suddenly stopped, facing the long time teacher at Hyakuji, and important figure in Arcadia, Hiro Tsukasa. Kaizo stopped at the same time, letting the guys he was taking stand on a large pixel flooring he created at the moment, large enough for them to stand and even walk, without the risk of falling. He turned to face the main event, ensuring that he would not miss any relevant details about it. A familiar voice suddenly sounded in his head, Mina Sumiregawa indicated that she had opened a network of communication that included the beast, to prevent Tsukasa from taking in all of the stress from whatever information the creature intended to convey. Kaizo made his words clear as he could, trying to explain why they attered. "You know, maybe we aren't meant to be spared, maybe we all deserve what is coming." He took a deep breath before continuing. Despite knowing fully that it was not his body speaking, but his mind. "I know that I do deserve it in any case. I kille more of my own kind than I could possibly count, even though those I killed were not real, even if they were illusions, the fact that I could do is disgusting, and I don't doubt that situations exist where many, if not most of us here would be capable of being as revolting." Again, he stopped, seemingly lacking words before continuing. "Yet seeing the people here, disregarding everything, even their lives, to create a future gives me hope, hope that we are all collectively acting for the chance that there is someone worthy among us, for a future that could be as bright as we can imagine, it may be a dream, fleeting idealism, but believing on that dream has banded us together, even against someone much greater than ourselves." It was all he wanted to say, and in all honesty, he did not expect it would have any impact on the monster, however, he would not have another chance if he missed that one. --- Carol kept on trying to swim with Jun in tow, moving away from the beast relatively slowly. Her schoolgirl outfit had been thoroughly soaked, nevertheless, she had to continue to the port, it was the most important thing at the moment, to take herself and Jun to safety. After all, how would she show off if she just stood there? she did not need to ponder that question, and Mina's ability gave her a reason not to. "WHY DO YOU OPPOSE JUSTICE MONSTER?!" It would be unlikely that anyone but herself actually understood what she meant. |

As he is taken away from the immediate area of the giant, he immediately starts looking around. The sooner he finds the woman who connected everyone’s minds, the sooner they may be able to establish telepathic contact with the monster. Granted, the specifics of telepathy are a mystery to Kazuya, but transmitting thoughts directly should bypass the language barrier, making this a better idea than, say, making a big speaker and shouting at it. After running around for a few seconds, he realizes the big issue with his plan. He actually has no idea what the woman looks like. Before he can curse his poor planning, he hears another woman’s voice. Despite that though, he can’t tell where it came from, only to realize what had happened. Another psychic had his idea. Maybe she ripped the idea from his head? HAHAHA! Brilliant idea! What does it want? Can we can reason with it? Wait, we? How many are linked? An army of insects? ... Oh fuck. |

Traitor? Kell and John skidded to a halt as they faced down a certain scruffy student who had turned on them. The jelly swordsman pointed his bokken at the fleeing Lenny, a displeased look on his yellow face. "What are you doing, Mr. Barrons? This is not a sane move, by any stretch of the word!" The wrestler was not so composed, though. Her eyes bugged out as she roared at the master of the homunculi. There was no fate but absolute and certain death for traitors, and she would damn well make sure of it. "YOU SON OF A BITCH, I WILL FUCKING BURY YOU!" She shoved John aside as she charged in, tearing her left glove off with her teeth as she ran with intent to murder the turncoat with everything she had. ---- Lucid smiled widely at the sound. Aww, yeah! River City Ransom. here in the flesh! This battle really was heating up, no doubt about it. She waved to them, clearly excited by their song and their appearance on the battlefield. "Yooo! When this fight's over, can I get your autographs?" She wanted to take out that group photo from their first tour they did, but now was not the time. Eyes back to Misogi, who was still beaming Amitie's aura all over the place. Once more, the assembled students and other fighters were being remotely recharged and maintained at full power through the Miko's earnest efforts to channel to them. One song to fortify the heart, one girl's efforts to fortify the body. Through teamwork, all of them could stave off the apocalypse, they were sure of it! ---- "Do you wonder why that is?" Nieves's arrival on the roof was like that of a quiet breeze, the sound of her landing lost in the din of the battle against the Beast. She pressed her hands together as she approached Saigyouji. "Just what drives the Beast? It carries our sacrifices, our hopes and wishes. It is, quite literally, the embodiment of our ideals." They entrusted everything to the Beast. And now, her three compatriots seemed to lose motivation after learning the price of what it took to achieve their desired world. She had more than enough time to decide on what she would do with this turning point in history, and she did not regret her choice. "To fight against it is to betray the self. Now that we are at this critical stage, you will sacrifice everything for the sake of your conscience? Highly disagreeable." Her slight smile never left her face, even as she proclaimed her choice. "It is a shame that you turned your back on your own beliefs, Saigyouji." She slid across the roof like a shadow, one inhumanly strong hand outstretched as she sought to tear through the noble's head! |

The beast had... paused, whether because of Hiro, or for something else. Whatever the case, Tyzal was thankful, though he was unsure if his effort to try and translate the creature had succeeded. There was a tense atmosphere as he looked towards Mister Tsukasa, wondering what might occur next. Would he be able to convince it to walk away from destroying anything aside of what it already had? Perhaps inquire into its origins and try to understand what drove it so? Whatever the answer, Tyzal rather prayed that they might be able to do it soon, lest things be allowed to build up and spiral out of control... Like, for an example, one of their own having apparently turned traitor. A moment after hearing of such a thing though, another occurrence began, one even more unpredictable than that which preceded it. A burst across his mind, though scattered by his non-standard makeup. It caused him to flinch, even as his mind began to... expand, in its reach. Scattered thoughts suddenly rang out in a cacophony, and Tyzal had to brace himself against the creature as he tried to steady himself from it all... But there was another voice... no, two in particular. One alien, new to a language that required actual tongues, and another familiar, realising the sheer scale of what had been unleashed, desperately pleading for restraint in face of the uncertainty of the situation. ...Listen, please. Tyzal tried to impress his mind upon the creature, physically one of the closest, but equal among all others here. Nevertheless, he had to try. We were told that you would seek to destroy this world. To remake it for the desires of a few. We do not wish that. Some might, but again, they are few. They do not concern for others. That is wrong. Sentient - thinking - beings have rights. Rights to be protected, unless they abuse them. Can you think? Do you feel? Do you understand? He wondered if the creature would be able to realise he was not of this world as well, but it did not matter in the immediate sense. What mattered was to stop this thing - and as weapons had not worked, perhaps dialogue would. If so, he would have to reassess just how... eager, humanity's response in parts had been. "I mostly called myself that, I think. I dunno, maybe it caught on." Abe remarked as Jen approached, not even turning an eye toward her. His focus was drawn to the coastline, ever observing of his work. He listened to the teenager observe, remark, and comment on the ongoing events, and it made him sigh. A frustrated, but tired sigh, one of an uncertain soul. "My wish wasn't for a new world. It was for a better one. Maybe it was too much to expect teenagers like you to understand..." The closest had been that one kid, the one with the transformative powers, but even seemed to be the kind of person whose attitude would have soured the whole thing. "I was hoping that the 'wish' would be... I dunno, metaphysical, I guess? Like, none of it would have ever 'really' happened. Noone dies, the world just changes into its new form. I never wanted... genocide." Yet, he had killed for his guys where he'd believed necessary. But they weren't now, which meant he had to be responsible for his actions. Yet how could he ever...? "Suppose that's me being an overeager, blind, stubborn fool. Only person who could ever talk me out of something was my wife... Only other person who could talk me into something was my daughter." A sudden smile overtook his face as he laid back, and stared up at the darkened sky. In its own way, it was majestic, with the power and atmosphere of the skies above on full display. "I miss those two. So much. Some part of me had hoped that in the world I dreamed of, that maybe the man who fired the shots would have a change of heart. Never the point... but a nice side idea." Abilio held his hand up to that sky, before closing it shut. "Now the only child I have is some monster." He ignored all else at this moment, simply drowning in his own regret and remorse. |

Life?Rights?Justice?Reason?Betrayal?Understand? The oppressive force seemed to echo back in volume to match the numbers that were being added in. If this was noise, it would be deafening. The mouth finished closing, and as it opened, it was again an eye. No. It was many eyes. One eye staring at each surviving person, staring directly at them. Many Thoughts. Many IdeasMany Lives None of which matter It raised it's remaining leg, bringing it down on the land. Sympathy. If I could feelI can feelI would consider sparing allPerhapsBut all I am is bound to my duty. Destruction is all I exist forThat is why I amThis world must burnERASEDSo those chosen as my masters can make perfection Only when they are pleased, may I cease to be. |

Haha.. Einhart's tear-covered visage stared upon the eye gazing at her as it formed. Within a split second, her left hand lunged forward, covered in a light, shredding aura. Before it could even continue speaking, before it could let it's reaction be known... the young child would do nothing but simply stab at it. Her hand was like a meat-grinding drill.. and she intended to grind it's eye to nothing more than dust. "Then don't stop fighting..." If her fingers managed to puncture this single eye, the rupturing force would instantly start growing. It would expand and almost explode outwards, trying to leave it's entire eye-socket an empty cavity. However... could she even damage this huge creature? Fate lifted her left hand up, waving at him dismissively. "Yeah, yeah. A foot and a half. We don't really have the time for all of this." she instantly dismissed the entire situation, as she had no time to listen to whining. Hell, no one did! Even though it seemed to have stopped in it's tracks, no one know for how long it had actually stopped. And, until the monster responded to the students united hearts, no one knew how long it would last. It was communicating? It... really was communicating? For a moment, it felt like a massive load had been removed from Fate's shoulders. Hell, it would probably feel like this to everyone! For this one, small instant... For that tiniest little passage of time, it felt like they had accomplish something. Fate showed the faintest smile, relaxing her body for just an instant. If it could communicate, it could be reasoned with. If it could be reasoned with, it was intelligent. There was no reason to fight if he could simply be stopped by words alone, right...? But those hopes and dreams were crushed in an instant. To this creature, their lives didn't matter. It had one purpose, and that was destroying them all. Fate's hands moved to her head... no way, if their words didn't work... it finally hit her. The hopelessness of the situation. Her attacks didn't work. No one's attacks were working! Why... what could they possibly do against a creature like this! She couldn't think of anything, nobody could think of anything... They haven't been doing anything this entire time. Hopeless, hopeles. Everyone was just going to die... The gut-wrenching sound of a gunshot pierced the air. With her blood-red eyes losing their shine, Fate fell down to her knees... clutching at her now-bleeding waist. "I didn't raise you like this, Fate. Maybe this will motivate you." An old man had suddenly appeared behind the two of them, a pistol to the young blonde's back. A second later, it would be pushed against her head. A military uniform hid most of his features. His right eye was missing and replaced by some sort of scanner, and his greying hair hair was covered by a hat, adorned with a golden skull. "Show it, Fate. And if you can't, show me your death." "I've said it before. On the verge of death, you will show me your true strength." After making sure that the Hyakuzor's pilots were safe, Amitie would focus back on the giant monster. This was straining, even for her. However, they seemed to be in luck, with how Hiro was holding that giant beast off, they had time to recover their strengths and willpower. Even Amitie was starting to run a little low on both at this point... while her strange aura seemed ever-powerful, her own body was trembling towards it's limits. Even if her energy could last for an infinite amount of time, her body can't... Having a breather like this was nice. It gave her enough time to regulate her heartbeat at least! Well, until Seth suddenly screamed at the top of his lungs. Amitie almost fell over. Dammit, is that what happens whenever she shouts at the top of her lungs!? That hurts pretty bad! Ah, no time to complain about that, though. The instant Amiite's balance returned to normal, she would join into the combined yelling of all the students. "Hey, um... We have something to protect ourselves! The boundless resolve and willpower of humans is something that cannot be taken lightly! We kind of like it here... and we have people to protect! We're not going to fall..." Amitie stopped as the creature started to speak. She would let it finish to it's very last word. For once, she was completely unphazed. Instead of letting her determination and willpower be stopped, she would simply start yelling at it once more. "What about us!? We have things to protect, too! Family... friends! We're here, opposing something as massive as you because we don't want to lose it all! The determination of humanity is endless! No matter how powerful you are, we'll put a stop to you! If you need to fulfil your duty of destruction..." Amitie took a single, deep breath. "THEN WE NEED TO FULFIL OUR DUTY TO PROTECT EVERYONE! That's why we're here! That's why we're standing here, united! We're here because we want to protect everything. And that's what we're going to do! If all we cared about was our own lives, we would run and hide... not meet you in combat!" Amitie said whatever came to heart. "So, Fate? What will it be?" The blood that dripped from her waist had already started to cover the ground. Normally, she could not feel pain. Her body had been altered for her to be incapable of feeling pain, but whenever she was around the Colonel, whenever everything returned to normal. She could feel it. It hurt. It hurt, it hurt so bad... Pain, fear, uncertainty. The need to be a hero. The need to protect. There was nothing she could do like she was now. She felt useless, weak. All of her attacks thus-far had been completely ignored. All of everyone's attacks thus-far had been completely ignored! Was it going to be over here? A weak smile formed on the blonde's face. Her left hand pulled away from her wound, palming down onto the stone beneath her. The electric aura that could always be felt around Fate completely faded. And she screamed. As hard as she could. Fate's scarlet blood swirled up and around her arms. The regular scarlet shade of her blood would completely fade. It was nothing more than black. The pure colourlessness wrapped around her arms, before quickly spreading towards the rest of her body. Darkness, pure darkness. Her pale-white skin only barely shined through. Even her blonde twintails were covered in this endless bleak. They seemed to lose their spark as they turned pitch-black. Two large swirls suddenly burst from her arms. A white symbol that contrasted the darkness. Pale fire that swirled into itself. With a burst of speed, Fate moved forward, towards the creature. Even though she had lost her spark of lightning, she still maintained an elevated speed. "Ggii... giii..." Consumed by a primal fear. Consumed by nothing but primal emotions, Fate lost herself to her powers. In her trail, a large amount of darkness-encroached swords formed. They shot forward. Tens of swords that quickly became hundreds. Each rampantly fired at every single eye Fate could see. They were as sharp as knives and as numerous as they were deadly. Those near Fate, those in her path... would feel an eerie feeling. It would feel like knives were being brought ot their skin. It would feel like being cut, repeatedly, even though they gained no wounds. Like fire emitted 'heat'. Fate was emitting the sensation of being cut. But no, that wasn't all she was doing. The dark shroud wrapped around her body. A screeching sound filled the air. Her darkness was merging with her body as she did with lightning many times before. If a million knives wouldn't do the trick, she would become a blade. A blade that was heading straight for the creature's mass. |

The time of the PNP finally arrived and Elizabeth was unaffected, allowing her to continue on without fear of being deactivated; Were it an EMP instead, she would have made a mad dash out of the AoE. Hearing that a student turned coat didn't exactly surprise her, figuring someone would make chaos during an already chaotic event. She couldn't help since she were so far, otherwise she might have had helped in subduing the traitor. As she continued to make her way to the downed mech, she feared being stepped on considering she was really close to the creature as it stopped its approach midway onto the port. The wreckage was and had been in sight for a good several hundred meters considering it was a giant mech, Elizabeth now within only a hundred yards. Suddenly something burst from it, a boom coming from the center of the machine. The reason for the burst was caused by none other than Seth, making his way out of the wreckage. It seemed like there were already people helping him and his friend, Elizabeth making her approach to the group. "Seth, I see it was you that was in the machine. You are more durable than you appear, whether you admit it or not." Elizabeth stated, looking around at the wreckage and seeing some of the flames being put out by the rainfall but not completely. Hearing Seth call out two names, she looked to see what he was looking at and watched as a robot came their way with flashing blue and red lights on it. It seemed like they were to use the robot to allow everyone to speak to the creature, Elizabeth looking from the robot to the massively overshadowing creature that remained in place for some unknown reason. Once Mina connected everyone, the sound of garbled thoughts, or whatever that noise was came clear in Elizabeth's thoughts. She began recording, hoping to process the information at a later time. She might as well give it a shot and attempt to use her logic on the creature, hoping it'd come to reason with what she said. She'd also assume others were speaking to it as well, bombarding it with words and what not. Unfortunately she didn't get a word in as it began to rise up out of the water and possibly revealing its whole form, speaking as it did so which she heard clearly in her mind. It was made apparent that what the others were saying wasn't going to change its mind, not until its chosen masters were satisfied. Elizabeth looked to those around her, seeing if they were actually hearing what she was hearing. "If you heard what it just said than it is not this creature we must subdue, it is its masters we must defeat. This creature is merely acting out its masters wishes," Elizabeth spoke, coincidentally since she herself had masters. |
