The Middleman (stubborn, yet relaxed)
Shad slightly slivered from the cold wind going down the back of his neck, awhile grasping the wooden broom tightly as if his life depended on it. Clad in his Arcadian robes, the first thing he did when he arrived at the meeting place was to summon the white-haired, young-looking persona to carry him high into the sky with his magical flying broom. His Persona's broom, not Shad's, of course. Excalibur was busy at the front of the broom, picking his nose with his cane as if the fact he was so high up didn't bother him at all.

"Geez, I'm glad that I was able to stay on this thing, but it worries me a bit how high we are now." Shad stated plainly, locking his legs around the bottom of the broom just in case. It'd had been a week since the message had been delivered, and, just as he predicted, everyone waited til the last minute to actually look for the monster that threatened the world instead of scouring the planet and bombing it to bits before it arrived.

"Just hope that Hiro-sensei brought the you-know-what to the party. Beasts of that nature are not to be trifled with, and such a army might not even bug it." Shad said in concerned tone, already bringing out the metal ring to hold in his palm. "I may have to use this to put around it's neck and constrict it long enough for the others to stake it to the ground. But the chances of getting close are slim." His persona smirked at that, all the while watching out for any air traffic in the vicinity.

"Can everyone hear me...? Ah, good. Anyone committed to this should be able to communicate freely with each other now."

<"Yeah, I can hear you. No sign of the monster yet from my viewing area high up in the air. Just wondering, can someone loan me a rifle with explosive ammunition? That'd help a lot if I had something like that. Also, has anyone seen that tall lady yet?"> Shad telepathically said, once the link was established in his mind. Hopefully the arcadian link would be set to private so no one would eavesdrop on the plans made for facing the monster.

Monsters, robots, always something appeared that made up what it was to live in the city of Hyakuji, but still always something appeared at Hyakuji that pulled together everyone to fight against some impossible evil that they should have no chance against anyway, but that wasn't something that deterred Bocky from a fight.

Tale swishing behind him for all to see, Bocky joined the large gathering of people for the enevitable fight that would decide the fate of the world! It was a bit unsettling to wake up to find that an attack was coming, but it was just best to fight in the end, after all fighting is the answer to almost all of life's problems.

Watching everyone else prepare themselves for the coming battle got him thinking on what the best move he could pool off was...he had mana...and he had his ki...maybe if he put them all into one huge kamehameha...Or what if he made a whole new evil destroying technique! Bocky sat himself down on the ground and began to gather his energies, he was going to need everything at the ready for the coming battle and for whatever move he was going to use.

"Looks like everyone's really pulling out all the stops here," Selene commented as she looked around; being amongst the many who'd responded to a worldwide call to arms that'd been issued ever since word got out that a possible end of the world scenario was looming over the horizon. The military, BOARD, various mage guilds and so on so forth, and with each and every report of how forces that'd been sent to intercept the incoming creature of the apocalypse as it made its way towards Japan only served to fuel the tensions that were already running high. At least the corporate heiress could take some comfort in knowing that she certainly didn't stand alone in this battle - all around her she'd seen her schoolmates answer the call for heroes.

And Selene certainly didn't come empty-handed, either. It didn't take much convincing for Thomas to devote Frostfire Industries' assets to this battle. Being a leading defense contractor with their main clients being the militaries of NATO countries meant that the company had been involved in the development of cutting-edge weapons technology, which besides using them to help fight off the apocalypse, it was also a once in a lifetime opportunity for Frostfire Industries to assure its clients that every euro spent funding their programs were a worthwhile investment.

"What you're looking at here is our Eye Of Ra particle beam cannon," A Frostfire Industries executive in a business suit remarked as he gestured towards a battery of massive cannons, being transported on the backs of modified MZKT-79221 trucks. "We had the early prototype and late prototype moved from our testing facility in Germany, along with a third cannon that was the proposed production model being hastily assembled in China - and at the same time we purchased three MZKT-9221 transportation units from Russia, to provide a mobile platform for these weapons, as you can see," the executive continued his explanation; originally a transportation and launch platform for the Topol M ICBM, the vehicles were stripped of their missile launch systems before being shipped over to Japan for Frostfire techs to install the particle beam cannons.

"A single blast from one of these generates up to 646 gigajoules, or equivalent to detonating 154 tons of TNT, on a single target," the executive smiled as he revealed the potential destructive capabilities of the weapon based on the test results; and even as the particle beam cannons were being set up by Frostfire Industries' PMC teams, research workers were busily pouring over their laptops and tablets, preparing to witness their experimental weapon's first ever combat deployment, and to gather field test data during the process.

"That's impressive," the corporate heiress nodded. "But I didn't come here just to watch you guys conduct a weapons test," she continued as she drew her ritual dagger, drawing a trickle of blood from her hand with her weapon as the buffs from Yuzuki's Bond of Unity came over her, a field of holographic runes and arcane sigils materializing and orbiting around the corporate heiress. "Come hither, Geisinian War Hulk!" Selene declared as she summoned her ancient magitek war golem. "Grand Cannon, go!" the corporate heiress issued the command for her summoned construct to ready its most powerful weapon; its chest armor opening up to reveal its glowing core as four crystal pylons floated into place, a blue-white glow slowly building up as Selene's golem prepared to concentrate fire from its own Wave Motion Gun together with Frostfire Industries' technological counterparts!

"This is some serious shit indeed, check this out," Jen mused as she sat nearby with a laptop in her hands, watching a leaked video clip from inside the cockpit of a PLA Air Force jet, a patrolling squadron that was called to investigate the anomaly shortly after the initial reports began. The video didn't really show much, beyond giving one a good view of the controls inside the cockpit of a Chinese Chengdu J-10 multirole fighter, a view of the sky and sea, and correspondence between the pilot and control tower.

Then it started; with the piloting radioing in to airbase that his squadron have made visual contact with the target, and being given permission to engage - this was followed by a shot of the fighters launching a salvo of missiles at a colossal, looming shadow, with the pilot radioing back to airbase on a confirmed "direct hit", and seconds later anxiously exclaiming that their weapons had no effect, with a green flash cutting through the smoke from the missile explosions, and then the video simply cuts to static as all communications between the airbase and the fighter squadron were lost - apparently everyone who'd gone out to intercept the beast all met the same fate; none of them survived the engagement long enough to give any detailed report on its appearance or abilities.

"But seriously, the Pacific? Of all the places for a world-ending threat to emerge, tsk," the purple-haired girl clucked as she wondered if the gods were themselves the biggest otakus in existence. From Cthulhu and the sunken city of Ry'leh, to the dimensional rift sending out the Kaiju in Pacific Rim - it seemed that if a threat came out from the ocean, it was always the Pacific. "I'm afraid there's little I can do myself," the purple-haired girl sighed as she continued to pour over her computer, keeping her various hacking utilities running to search for communication signals - if there were any extra military hardware they could spare, she figured she could try to take control of some of them to assist in the fighting.

"Looks like they're pretty much getting ready to throw everything but the kitchen sink, but wouldn't that mean the stakes aren't high enough yet?" Jen mused as she glanced over at the kitchen sink resting on the floor next to her. Everything BUT the kitchen sink? "Make that everything AND the kitchen sink," the purple-haired girl remarked as she patted the kitchen sink; though hopefully, things wouldn't have to boil down to her having to actually throw the kitchen sink at the apocalypse creature.

"I'd have liked to say never before have the stakes been higher... but it just feels like another Tuesday," Lavender remarked as she checked her equipment laid out before her on a weatherproof tarp - the aeromancer herself was decked out in military equipment; woodland-patterned camouflage BDU and combat trousers, combat boots, and a matching carrier vest to hold her additional ammunition and supplies. Having fought battles for the multiverse and for time itself, this present looming apocalypse would've been merely the latest in a list of "never before have the stakes been higher" scenarios that Lavender and the rest of the students and staff from Hyakuji have to deal with.

"I hear you?" Lavender instinctively replied to the voice in her head - it was clearly not the Arcadian channel, but there was no mistake that there was some form of metaphysical communication network in place, the aeromancer could feel it. "So looks like now the only thing to do is wait for the bringer of the apocalypse to show up, so we can give it a good ass-kicking?" Lavender mused as she picked up her weapons after finishing their inspection - her trusty MP7A1 PDW and USP Compact, as well as a MGL-140, outfitted with a M2A1 reflex sight.

Matt had been quite interested by the news when he had heard it. It wasn't like the homunculus heard about a monster of world-ending proportions everyday, after all! He had to admit that he found all of this rather exciting, in its own way. All the strange new weapons that people were bringing to bear were fascinating enough, especially when combined with what the students of Hyakuji were bringing to bear.

He would be pacing back and forth as he waited for the other shoe to fall. When Yuzuki would reach out to bestow her gift upon everyone present, Matt would smirk, snorting some. His protection began to manifest before it suddenly stopped. Matt had essentially just shoved it back to Yuzuki, not wanting anything resembling help from a Human. As if he would need it anyways. Still, at the very least he could ensure that other people got the help that way. Probably. Maybe. If that was how it worked. Matt didn't know, and more to the point, didn't care. All he wanted was to see what was coming, and maybe participate in beating the crap out of it. Nothing more, nothing less.

...So, his second Destroyer level enemy in as many years.

Of course, only one - this current one that approached them now - had ever 'technically' existed, and the other had been renewed into something far less dreadful. Yet Tyzal Mererin, alias Subaru Hoshikawa, doubted such would be repeated this day. If this event rewrote the world, it would not be through advanced metaphysics, or exotic energies. It would be through utter destruction and a renewal of the world from the ground up. Genocide, no matter how one might try to argue around it. This was the sort of thing for which Star Force was founded - to make sure such events did not come to fruition, and that those behind them faced justice for their crimes. That Star Force was having trouble of its own, preventing the deployment of some reinforcements to help him out here, was either ironic or just plain inconvenient.

Still, he had allies of another breed here, both literally and metaphorically. He saw the armoured riders waiting in the wings, as a mystic voice echoed in his mind. He caught glimpses of others, prepping their abilities to their fullest, ready to put in every last ounce and effort, and make them count. He saw them all, ready and able...
But those were not the ones he focused upon.
No, he was walking along the coastline, having spotted what seemed like a now familiar figure, and he confirmed it as he approached.
"So, here to watch?" Tyzal asked Naja, the alien lad dressed fairly lightly, all things considered. A basic black shirt, some shorts - really, the only thing out of place from a regular day at the beach would have been the shades atop his head, just a bit too weird.

"The funny thing is, from one perspective, this shouldn't be as big a deal to me as it is to all of you." Tyzal began, taking note to phrase his words so that when he meant 'you', he meant as in, most of the planet - regardless of being human or otherwise.
"Because even if your world ended today, mine continues. You wouldn't even be able to see the earliest signs that it exists for another... one point nine something million years." He gestured up to the sky, but by inference, far beyond it. To the far reaches of the Andromeda Galaxy. To his home.

"...Yet I'm going to fight here, today, as I have for a while now. Because the rights of sentient beings extends beyond any one planet. Even if a little outside my technical jurisdiction, my first and foremost duty is to protect innocent peoples from harm. So that they have a chance." Tyzal hoped, that he was making a point. If not, it did not matter - but it was worth a shot at least. He turned, waiting briefly for Naja's response - if any came at all - and then moving on if he was not stopped.

Raising his Hunter-VG, Tyzal was ready.

The skies above began to gray, almost as if making this ominous moment even worse. A light drizzle began to fall, before growing into actual rain. A small flash, and some thunder. This wasn't going to be a pleasant time, obviously, but it seemed as if even the weather was working against the group right now. Looking out into the ocean, no sign was found of this beast. It was the silence that made everything feel wrong. This thing, what was taking it so long to come into view?

Well, not like it mattered. They were here. They had their power, their brilliance, their might. They were unified in this goal, and that showed. Yuzuki's ability was making them even more powerful. This many people, unified in one goal? They literally felt like they could do anything. Helping that was all the teamwork going on here. Cooperation like this was unparalleled. With everyone like this? NOTHING could stop them.

Another flash of lightning.

And then it was there.

Looking upon the coast and the assembled forces, appearing as quickly as it took for the flash of lightning, was this massive....THING. A trail of emptiness where ocean had lay before gave away it's path, coming from the expected direction, but the sheer distance it traveled, in the blink of an eye, was astonishing. Most of what they saw would be a massive singular eye, staring at them. It closed, and upon opening, there was no eye any longer. Instead there was just a gaping maw, filled with teeth upon teeth, lines of them. Before anyone could process this, could warn people not looking at the coast, it roared.

A load, deafening, heart shattering yell came from the beast. All that confidence from those such as Yuzuki, any morale that was being built up, was shattered.

Quote:

Sorry, but PM's buff is completely negated.

Now getting a good luck at this massive...THING, it looked to be at least 450 meters tall, and quite wide. Jet black in color, most of its body mass was made up of this positively disturbing mouth, taking up most of it's torso. The beast was hunched over, legs protruding from a relatively small lower body, still in the ocean. Two arms reached out from the torso, long and spindly, with long and pointed claws. But what got people's attention was the fact that the claws were moving.

Rising into the air, the claws stopped and were quickly coming down, preparing to crash right into the ground every assembled hero stood on. It was as if this beast was working to crush them, all at once!

Remember when Seth Ryouga said they're going to finish this by midnight?

He might be getting his wish after all.

He was leaning forward in his seat within Hyakuzor, anxiously glancing around just hoping for it to show up already. Being the kind of person that hates not being in action, this oddly long wait with nothing appearing is more tense than the idea of actually facing the damn thing. Whatever unknown they were supposed to see, how strong it actually is, how would they defeat it... You know the saying, people fear the unknown?

A blink of an eye. A flash of lightning. It's there, right in front of them. A single gigantic eye, a gaping maw with rows upon rows of teeth, close enough to be touched and towering higher than anything and anyone present on the field.

It was only after a good five seconds did Seth realize that something was wrong. "...Crap,"

The sirens blared all too late from Hyakuzor, the beast had already raised it's... claw...? To smash down on everyone on the dock in one massive sweep! "Shit- shitshitshit!! YOUMA GET MOVING DAMMIT!!!" He yelled out at the terminal as he scrambled for the controls, bringing the Steel God up to life! The first thing he could think of, even if he could think of anything within that small of a time frame, was to protect everyone. "...Youma, are you listening to me?!"

"...Wh-huh...? Oh- o-okay-!" The half-phantom only just responded, seemingly as though she had just woken up from a trance. Which wouldn't be too far from the truth because what her eyes saw wasn't what she was expecting. Now, she prides herself greatly in her ability to assess anything around her with great accuracy, their feelings, emotion, strength, weaknesses, nothing could really escape her nose.

The appearance of this gargantuan Eldritch horror that tore up the whole stretch of the ocean?

She suffocated. She couldn't breath when her eyes fell on it.

"DAMMIT YOUMA, START OVERBOOST MODE NOW!!!" The yelling of her master brought her back to reality, the girl jumping in her seat before hastily scrambling around for the controls. "U-uhm... r-right, Overboost... O-Overboost Mode!" Her voice cracked, betraying her terror as she tried to shout out the command, though the system deemed it was enough to activate the power of Hyakuzor that should have only been used as a last resort.

Pain seared through the two pilots of the three-man machine as Hyakuzor voraciously drew out every drip of their life force out of them, to give itself the much needed power for what its pilot intends to do. "OH NO YOU DON'T YOU UGLY PIECE OF SHIT!!!" The young man roared out as he commanded Hyakuzor to move, leaping out over and above the many students gathered in front of them and threw its arms up, catching the falling claw with a powerful deafening BOOM that tore apart the surroundings! But even so... "S-shit... what the hell is this thing...?!" Seth growled under his breath as he choked on his own blood, spraying some over the terminals as his life was rapidly drained by the very machine he's piloting. The ground split underneath Hyakuzor's feet, the metal limbs and joints creaked and snapped from the sheer impact and the weight of the claw...!

Freezing his armor was no easy task. He didnt think he could do it to be honest but suddenly a burst of energy ran through him. All doubt erased from him in an instant! He felt more hope and courage flowing through him than ever before.

"I feel...Amazing!!"

With the little extra boost from Yuzukis technique he somehow managed to freeze the armor in no time. Soon he stood there in a full set of armor that glistened beautifully in the light. The ice had been frozen to the point where it couldnt be seen through. Sharp shards of ice stuck out from his armor, as sharp as a spears point. His whole body was now just onr big weapon he could use to defend and attack with. The armor looked as if it could withstand some punishmennt but he didnt know if it would help against the monster approaching. Suddenly he remembered that someone was talking to him.

"Oh! Hey Elizabeth! Sorry about that I was a little busy!" said Kaito moving his gourd to somewhere else for now. "Had to do a little prepping befote we went into a huge battle. But now im ready!"

Oh how wrong he was. The weather had turned for the worse and started raining. Suddenly there was flash of lightning. Kaito closed his eyes for a second and suddenly the monster had appeared and let out a yell so foul that all the courage he felt a second ago had disappeared and was soon replaced with fear that brought him to knees.

"W..What is that!?
"

It was too terrifying to put into words. This thing was massive! This thing looked as if it could cause buildings to collapse with a single breath. Kaito didnt know what to do...What could they do!? The beast raised its claws and was about to crush them, and for a moment it looked like the end. But Seth made it just in time to save them! Though they werent safe just yet! Hyakuzor looked like it would break any second now. He had to fight! He had to get up and fight to save the world!!

"Everyone! We have to help! Attack it with everything youve got!"said Kaito getting up from his knees. Using the water from the rain he tried to help Hyakuzor by shooting as barrage of water orbs. as many as he could to try and help!

Kazuki couldnt believe appeared out of nowhere! The time to prepare was no more! It was time for action!....But could he do to this massive thing!?

"No more sitting around! Time to beat this thing!"

Kazuki jumped of the roof and landed safefly by controlling the energy and releasing it slowly from the tip of his lance.

"Sunlight Slasher!"

Kazuki suddenly sped straight towards the bottom of Hyakuzor. Soon he was right under the giant robot holding up the things claw. It didnt look like it was going to,well though.

"Whelp it better than doing nothing I guess!" said Kazuki pointing his lance straight towards the things wrist.

"Sunlight Slasher!"

Kazuki soared through the air leaving a trail of orange energy behind him. He kept going until he hit the things wrist. Though this thing was so big it probably wouldnt feel it. But he had to try! He kept on putting out energy to propel him forward! He wasnt gonna give up yet! He wasnt just gonna let it all,end here!

There was a burst of power, and to her surprise, the ice surged from her palms to cover up to her elbows, as it always did, but was it faster? Was it... stronger? Natsumi felt good, surprisingly. Better than before. She wasn't quite sure why until she heard the voice, telling them how they had been empowered.

But that was shattered in an instant. A roar, and then, something horrible. Eyes. Teeth. Something that stopped her mind in its tracks, stripped away everything that had been good and better. Then, the claw came down.

It didn't matter that she was part of the background, not an important figure in this fight, not someone with battle experience, not someone with firepower to spare.

The claw came down, indiscriminate, and for a moment, she thought it was the end. Squashed under a monster's claw, before she'd even had a chance to fight.

Not fair. Not right.

Stifling a panicked squeak, she dove to the right, knowing she could never escape in time. Rolling on an ice-covered arm, she stopped, crouching low. Looked up, only to see the claw stopped. Not for forever. Not even for long. The huge machine thing that was holding it up, that had saved them - it was failing.

Natsumi wanted nothing more than to help. To fight.

But the only way she could help it was to disengage. She couldn't fight the monster from here. If the machine kept holding up the claw, it would fail. It would be crushed. Whoever was inside - was there someone inside? - would be killed, along with everyone else still underneath. Everyone needed to get out of the way, and it could escape as long as they kept providing some sort of backup. Then, they could fight for real. Maybe there was a better way, but this- this was the only way she could think of.

These thoughts ran through her mind in the span of half a second, and she sprang to her feet and began a mad dash out.

"Get out from under the claw first!" she yelled as she ran. She hated how scared she sounded. How helpless she was. How much of a coward she probably looked like. But this wasn't about her. This was for whoever had saved them all, at least for a little longer.

"T-That's what we're fighting?!" Jun cried as the monstrous roar cracked the eerie silence like approaching thunder. She felt her legs plead to give way before it as if every hope in the world had been crushed beneath that one cry. Talking about unity, friendship and all that was pretty awesome and all but... man, look at that thing! She was just a girl, just a human being, they let students fight things like this? Her eyes dashed back and forth looking for validation of her silent feelings. They all held their ground, none of them shaking half as much as she was.

"I-I don't want to die..." She whispered to herself. She barely registered the rain hitting her face as a massive shadow seemed to suddenly cast itself above them. Jun looked up briefly, her eyes shooting open upon the sight of a massive, black arm held itself high above them. "I don't wanna die!!!!"

You have the body of a martial arts genius!

"W-Wha--" Those were the old man's first words to her. Why was she remembering this now? Was it her life flashing before her eyes or something? She laughed a little at the timing of it. She'd thought he was just some homeless pervert the first time he said that. Martial arts genius, yeah right... Fat lotta go punching was gonna do against this. She may as well just... go home. Jun looked around at the others, all of whom barely seemed to notice her existence, focused instead on the battle around them as they fought with all they had. She looked up again, the massive robot she recognized from the school taking the hit to protect them.

They had to have the same doubts she did... There was no way...

People talk about being tough like it means they're never afraid of a fight, but if you're fighting for the right reasons you should always be pretty damn scared

"Old man..." Jun clenched her fists. Inside she was still in screaming fear of death, but if she didn't do anything wouldn't everyone just die anyway? Wasn't that why they were here? This was just what he was talking about, this was... a real fight. "A-Alright! I...I'm not ready for this fight at all but...I'm going to do everything I can!" Jun made a dash for the water, fighting everything in her body that was telling her not to. There was no way she could fight this thing on land so...

Dropping her backpack Jun leaped head first into the water, diving just like her brothers had taught her. You never think you're going to use those kinds of skills this way, but it'd probably take everything she'd ever learned in her life just to avoid death. Alright, let's get a look at what this thing really looks like... She wasn't really a speedster. On land. In the water though, she could kick her feet faster than the propeller of a speedboat! Kicking off she exploded forward like a shot. If she could just be helpful too... Even if all she did was get herself into even worse trouble she could say she did something.

That she didn't just shrink away and wait to die...

At this speed, I can crash into this thing like a boat hitting Cthulu with the force of a torpedo! Even if it was some giant eldritch beast it was still alive and that meant it could be hurt!

Kouta was first to act among the members of BOARD present, immediately throwing up his right arm in the air and using a relic that was rarely used, but wholly necessary. Whatever they were facing, whatever that THING was...it was a threat on the same level as Dark Brain, if not worse. Even not factoring in the sheer girth of the beast, something on par with most of the World Enders he has encountered in his times as Fighter Roa, the pressure he felt was unreal.

"ROBOOOOOO!"

At his beck and call was one of the other, slumbering behemoths that Hyakuji High housed: the mighty robot known as the Compatible Kaiser. The Over-Gate engine was a device that was linked to the man directly, and he could summon it whenever and wherever he deemed necessary due to the connection. In this case, it allowed for Kouta to just call it above the building they were all standing on. The red and gold machine would try and hold up the claw as long as possible, before Kouta was teleported himself inside the cockpit.

"10032, issue the orders to our other teams! Focus on survival, regroup then counterattack after that!" Kouta's voice boomed across the loudspeakers of his mech, immediately talking to one of the Sisters. The emotionless elite that made up the Glaive Squad were also not bothered by the appearance, though for completely different reasons. Of course, this meant that the Riotroopers were already suffering from broken morale so they had to try and get reorganized. Fast.

"All units who are able and listening. We are going to assist in slowing down the descent, please take the time to fall back into a safer location and begin the assault, says Kazuna as she prepares to take flight." The leader of the Glaives broadcasted over their communication network, and in turn relayed the order to the Riotroopers. Each of the Glaives posted around the perimeter attempted to establish order within their squads but some Troopers were already quick to abandon their vehicles and run.

Still, the mass production Blade units Roused their copies of the Fusion Eagle card and simply began flying and using their powered armor to push back against the beast while the few troopers who remained transformed the Side Basshas into their motorcycle modes to reposition themselves. The few other Troopers in the flying Jet Sligers simply opened fire with their payload of missiles...in order to help those who could not escape, they would attempt to at least blow chunks away to lessen the sheer mass coming at them.

Caught out of position even with the advanced warning, morale decreased simply by the appearance of the beast. It was the absolute worst possible situation. Though, due to the lack of information, BOARD could only focus its efforts on containing the threat. Destruction of the beast was the last things on their minds as they needed to minimize loss from the initial attack. They were prepared for losing a few men, they were prepared for the loss of the city...

But all that preparation means nothing when the threat is so large that not everything can be dealt with. Their formations were broken because no matter where they were, they would be within reach. When you lost your morale by being surprised even after mobilizing and establishing everything, it was difficult to recover. The brave Riders of BOARD had barely begun and it seemed like they were backed into a hopeless corner.

"...Henshin."

Hopelessness was a feeling Kazuna hated. She thought she had gotten over that, but threats on this scale still found a way to get to her. She refused to be one of those who ran away, and instead asked Ankh for the silver set of medals. She had no option but to go all out from the get go...and like the other members of BOARD, she could only hope to help those get away from the crushing mass.

SAI
GORILLA
ZOU

SaGoZou....SAGOZOU!

With the aid of one of the Glaives, she was able to move furthur out to spread their efforts on a differing rooftop. All she could do was use the Gorilla Arms and begin pounding her chest. The Rhythmic beating allowing for the control of the area's gravity, albeit temporarily, while those on ground level made their escape. She wasn't sure how long it was going to last, especially only when she covered a large area, but if she could help the others by slowing the beast down...

Right now, BOARD simply banked on the fact that those who escaped could continue for them. Their chances were small, but until they ran out of breath, they believed in the small percent...they needed to create space...!

"Oi...Guilmon, slow down!"

Even in the danger, Guilmon didn't stop. His instincts were driving him crazy, so much that even after the beast appeared...the small dinosaur simply looked up, opened his mouth wide and began launching its signature "Pyro Sphere" attack. Shirou was honestly more concerned about his partner's safety more than his own so...all he could do was try and support him. Of course, due to the mass of the beast, it was clear that he wouldn't "miss" per say, so Shirou figured out the easiest way to do this...

Was to Card Slash a card he knew that would work without fail.

"Card Slash...Dimensional Robo, Daibrave!"

Shirou ran the strange, silver mechanoid card through his D-Ark, infusing Guilmon with its "on hit" effect. Once even one of the tiniest red fire-balls hit the surface of the beast...the D-ark would begin glowing and shoot a beam out to the feral Guilmon...

"Guilmon shinkaaaaaaaa......!"

It was almost painful to see, the very essence of Guilmon be torn away, bit by bit, revealing his data frame underneath. His very code was being re-written however as it expanded and the layer that had been eaten away was replaced by a much, larger one. Bladed arms and a silver main, a much larger dinosaur took Guilmon's place...

"GROWMON!"

Kazuya
Kuze
While everyone else was setting up their own plans, Kazuya, in his attention seeking white garb, looks for Mugen, someone who seems to have his own plan. All the while, Kazuya can’t help but feel confident at their chances. Maybe it’s the fact that it seems that every heavyweight in the city is here to help. Maybe its the fact that he somehow seems to have even more magical energy than usual. Or maybe it’s the fact that there’s a random woman in his head (a fact which REALLY shouldn’t make him more comfortable, but today’s a weird day). Maybe it’s the fact that there’s even a giant mecha here to help. Whatever is coming, surely that thing could stomp it through sheer strength!

Right?

Almost as if the world itself decided to prove Kazuya wrong, the weather starts to worsen, lightning starts striking across the sky, before the appearance of a massive… thing. It can’t even be called a demon because at least he recognizes demons, thanks to his classes. What ever it is, its mere appearance shattered the confidence he had. Even the voice in his head is gone. Normally, that would calm him down. Yet, with a god damned Kaiju about to stomp on them, a voice in his head may be a comfort. Especially when, rather than stomp them, it literally raises its… arm-tendril-appendage-tentacle thing, in an attempt to crush everyone in one fell swoop.

Any normal person would run like their cape was on fire. Kazuya, being the kind of person who willingly signs up to fight something that can destroy the world dressed like he walked out from a crappy detective manga shounen series that just won’t end, so he rushes for the robot, when he sees two people attempt to assist the giant robot.

The moment he gets within range, he performs a few fairly showy hand movements (much like the sort of character who would dress like him), before holding his arms in front of him, and creating the biggest object he’s ever made. A massive titanium structure, appearing much like the towering corners of a fortress wall, braced at multiple points, and with tipped with a fairly large spike, would appear in front of the robot, attempting to catch/stab the claw of the monster in the… well, if it were a human, it would be the wrist.

NICE DRIVE!
"I can't believe I'm late," Yuuki Hitagawa huffed as he continued his well paced run towards the gathering site while working over the situation to himself, "I'm not sure what I can do... but..." As the Reploid began to crest the final hill that would bring him to Cape Erimo and the others, he could not help but think back on the events that had just transpired:

"So you're going then?" Principal Hitagawa asked with interest and she rose from the workstation she had been plugging along at.

"Forgive me, Profess-I mean... Mother," Yuuki spoke with a tone that suggested deep consideration, "I've heard what everyone has been saying... and I have given it a lot of thought. I still don't think it's right... that fighting and violence should be the answer to so many problems. But in my short time as a student of Hyakuji High, I understand now that there are times and situations where a fight cannot be avoided. If the opposition will only accept a battle, the only option is to act on their terms or submit defeat. In this instance, refusing to take action and accepting defeat might mean the end of everything."

"That's why," Yuuki continued as he clenched a fist with determination, "I'm sorry... I have decided I am going to go after the others and do what I can to help. I know you said you entrusted me with Livemetal X so it could protect me when I was in danger... and that in doing this I am choosing to actively use it to fight... a contradiction to the life I would hope to lead... but still..."

"It's okay," Ayumi replied with a calming voice, "You don't need to apologize to me... you're projecting you concern about your decision out at me, but whatever it is that you decide to do; I'll support it. That's why I entrusted you with the Livemetal. You were created with the capacity for human thought and reasoning. I'm confident that, in your hands, you will choose the right thing to use that power for."

"Thank you," Yuuki replied sheepishly feeling a bit embarassed as he looked to the ground, "Then I'll be on my way... I heard another student say you and the rest of those staying behind were mounting defenses for the city itself in case something goes wrong... so I don't want to distract you for long."

"One more thing," Ayumi added as she moved to a locked storage box and began opening it to retrieve something, "I was waiting till the time seemed right... but if we are honest about the situation there might not be another time. I want you to take this..." As she approached, the Principal held forth another device that looked all too similar to Livemetal X:

"This is?" Yuuki questioned with surprise as Ayumi placed the Livemetal into his hand.

"Livemetal Z," Ayumi explained with a warm smile, "X was my own pet project. A design to the extreme of the initial design the think-tank had devised. Livemetal Z was the first proper prototype of our development before I decided to back out on things. I told you before... X has the special ability to merge its capabilities with another Livemetal and reach new levels of power. I trust you, Yuuki, to use this to do the right thing... and come back to me and continue attending Hyakuji High."

"I promise," Yuuki replied as he clenched Livemetal Z tightly.

It wasn't much further now; hopefully he'd make it in time. In the worst of situations, Yuzuki's wish would be granted. Unfortunately, the chaos had already begun. As Yuuki reached the top of the hill and looked out over Cape Erimo, he saw it. There were no words to describe the feeling one might have upon first gazing upon the visage of this creature. The Reploid could not be sure if this was accurately some sort of cosmic-awe or if he had just not experienced the proper emotions to grasp how he felt. The battle was already underway and everyone seemed to be slinging all they could at the beast.

This thing. Did it even have a name? Did it even understand what it was doing? Or did it tread among them as if a person about insects? "A Great Destroyer," Yuuki whispered to himself half-frozen in fear.

No, this wasn't the time to halt on things. The battle had already begun. He was just one more person in a sea of those assembled to fight for the future of their world, but Yuuki was all too determined to try anything at all to stop this catastrophe. Reaching into both of his pockets, Yuuki drew out Livemetal X and Z in each hand as both began to glow brightly with energy. "Alright!" Yuuki shouted triumphantly, "LET'S DOUBLE ROCK ON!!!!"

A wave of energy exploded around the Reploid as both Livemetals activated. Guided by Livemetal X, specifically designed to work in tandem with a 2nd device, the data store d within both began to synthesize forming up an entirely new armor-set for the Reploid to don:

"Wow," Yuuki mumbled as he looked over his new form. It barely resembled the armor from Livemetal X. Perhaps it took a backseat to the designs of the secondary Livemetal and instead focusing on power. Still, sleek red armor. A bladed weapon that could convert into the same blaster that had before been arm mounted. Synthetic blonde hair; which was a bit of an odd design choice. But Yuuki couldn't complain, seconds after changing he could already feel the difference. Compared to Livemetal X alone, his power had almost doubled.

"Alright," Yuuki spoke with confidence as he activated the ZX Saber and began to dash down and into the fray, "Mega Man ZX, here to defend our future!"

The Middleman (stubborn, yet relaxed)
"Just for the record, I hate getting wet." Shad grumbled as the clouds turned gray and started to rain upon them, getting stronger by the minute. His Persona shrugged, not really affected at all by the rain as he scanned the horizon. "On the plus side, if this thing is big, the lightning might strike it a lot."

Shepard pointed outwards at the ocean's horizon, noting the big eyeball that suddenly popped up from the ocean and quickly made it close to shore with speed beyond measure.

"Huh...really big. And scary, why the heck is it a eyeball?" Shad's face paled just looking at the massive behemoth, as if he was looking into the eye of God himself just as it turned into a huge mouth of fangs. Shepard clapped in astonishment at the craftsmanship of such a beast.

And then came the roar that made Shad's teeth chatter given how close he was halfway up the monster's mouth, as the broom swung about nearly casting him and Excalibur off had his hands not firmly tightened extra hard around it out of fear. "W-what the heck?"

Shepard quickly took back control after a few minutes of the broom rocking back and forth and spinning about in mid-flight, as the trio immediately shot vertically upwards quickly in order to avoid getting bit by the giant mout outh. Cupping index fingers and thumbs with his hand to form a square, he casted Analysis upon the beast. Which in Persona terms can reveal information about the monster's moves and name for which they faced in general as they ascended higher and higher awhile curving around the side of the curved jaw.

Shad scratched his head for a minute or two trying to figure out what weakpoint a big mouth may have, then recalled a certain moment of his training with his master in regard to fighting certain monsters with that attribute, "I've got it, I'll just slice open the Modiolus at both ends all the way around. If this thing's jaw faces one direction, there must be something that allows it to open and close, like a lip muscle." His master nodded to that awhile guiding the broom carefully around the teeth, as Excalibur shifted to sword form for him to grab and hold firmly, as they continued to fly carefully around the huge maw of teeth.

Elizabeth maintained her position as the weather became foreboding, looking up slightly at it as a light drizzle came down which turned to full blown rain moments later. Flashes of lightening would brighten up the sky, causing a sudden blindness that lasted just as long as the lightening strikes did. During this time, Valentine and Kal had been feeding her the information on the creatures last known whereabouts, giving her estimates as to when it should arrive. However, right after a strike of lightening, the creature appeared in the port and looked on at those below. Elizabeth looked up and began measuring its height, sending the information around as well as super high quality pictures she began taking. "The target has arrived," Elizabeth said, speaking to no one in particular.

It closed its eye, revealing a giant gaping maw with razor sharp teeth and then giving a roar that would make the bravest of men cower in fear. The power she was receiving suddenly diminished, bringing her back to her normal speeds and strength. After a moment of getting more pictures during its roar, it began moving its claws towards the port, attempting to crush those within its path. Once it began putting its claw up in the air, Elizabeth immediately withdrew from the area and running as fast as she could. This was no time to do her usual walk away from a casual situation.

Elizabeth would hopefully get out of the way in time, waiting for the claw and bracing herself, to actually crash down before she went up to it. Once its claw was on the ground, she'd make her way to it and begin to punch at it with all her strength, wanting to do as much damage to this behemoth as possible before it pulled its claw back.
