Lucella had done well with having the temple prepared. She'd made advertisements, had the process of renovation start well before her arrival, and otherwise made sure it was prepared relatively quickly. It was quite well done though, with stained glass depicting a few Voices, the Nagan version saints, like Voice Tiki and Voice Nowi. More importantly, there was a symbol that littered the walls and pews of the temple, perhaps more than you'd expect a cross to appear in a church. It also seemed, perhaps due to the priestess's own experiences with her first temple being a 'renovated' church, that a few design elements seemed to hail from Christian Churches, though it was more the exception than the rule. At any rate, a few borrowed design elements wasn't exactly a crime. The Church itself wasn't a manificent cathedral; but at the same time, it wasn't poorly made. It was still fairly nice, however.

At the moment, Lucella was in the robes of a Priestess of Naga, making sure everything in the main room, where she'd preach during a Gathering, was ready, although she was also expecting some curious passerby. Maybe she'd get converts, maybe she'd just make a few friends. She was fine either way.

It only had been a few days since Amitie and Lucella met at the mall. Amitie happened to run into one of her many fliers, remembering the specific term 'Naga' from talking to her! The redhead had done a bit of research into the things Lucella spoke about. So manakete were... d-dragon folk? Well, that was.. uh, something! Amitie thought she was just a regular little girl that wanted to be mature. But if she were actually a manakete, she would be in her hundreds! Or, well, could be, at least!

WEll, in the end, it didn't really matter. Lucella was cute, and small. Amitie reflexively wanted to Oneechan over her, and she probably would if she shifted nto a dragon, too! Hibiki had subjected her to things more dangerous than a mere case of hot breath. So Amitie wasnt really that turned away or intimidated by the concept!

Well, Amitie did have the image of a cute baby dragon in mind, not a one actually BIGGER than her...

Anyhow, Amitie had decided to drop by the church! Amitie was interested in learning more about Lucella's kind... and, well, she just liked hanging around cute little girls. That was all the reason she needed to stroll into the church. After being caught off guard by the beauty of the place for just a moment, the redhead lowered her attention to the dragon, raising her left hand and waving.

"Hey again." she'd say, not trying to be loud or impolite, just greeting her! Although it was still kind of tactless, considering that they were in a temple...

Lucella had been looking through the Book of Naga once more. Lucella had been committed to the good word for hundreds of years, so she knew it front and back, but she knew that a good priestess should read through what she preaches, if only out of ethics. Besides, she rather enjoyed it as well.

Sliding in a bookmark as she detected the sound of an opening door, she turned her attention to Amitie, and gently smiled "Hello again, Amitie. I'm glad to see you here." she told her.

Lucella wasn't going to proselytize terribly actively, although she might make a few passes to see if she showed any interest. Either way, Naga wasn't the sort to condemn those who didn't worship her, and certainly neither would her priestess.

Lucella approached her, the lack of tact displayed not bothering her in the least. While Lucella might take offense if Amitie started cursing or what not, simply speaking informally wasn't exactly tantamount to insulting Naga,

"Hello again to you too." she told her "Thank you again for your help the other day, I did appreciate it." Riko wasn't exactly about to hold it against her that she was treated like a child, even if she was one.

Lucella didn't go any more into depth, waiting to hear Amitie's response. She might have had a reason for coming here, but might have just come to talk. Lucella would be happy either way.

Of course, Amitie had no intentions to do such things! She might be a little rude and hurtful at times, but those times happened to have a reason and no young girls to play big sister over! And this was not one of those situations, soo~

"Hi again, Lucella!" Amiitie responded, pretty happy to be recognized by Lucella. Usually, after helping someone, she proceeded to not run into them again, so it was nice to have a sort-of confirmation that her good actions weren't instantly forgotten. It wasn't that important to her to have it be remembered or anything, but...

...WEll it always makes you kinda fuzzy when it is!

The redhead smiled warmly as Lucella came forward, giving her a polite little bow. She wasn't sure what the religious quirks of the Naga were, but she wanted to treat Lucella with the respect that the priestess of a temple deserved. She slowly lowered herself to her knees, afterwards, resting her hands on her knees as she gave Lucella a warm smile.

"Oh, no problem~ I'm happy to help, and happy to see you again." the young redhead gave the ancient greenette a smile as she said that, before switching the subject of the conversation! She had a reason to be here, after all.

Well, a reason other than simply saying hi to Lucella!

"Right, umm... Well, but I don't know too much about the Naga. I'm really interested in hearing more about it!" Amitie cheerfully and rather excitedly said. She was playing up her excitement a bit because she was alone, she didn't want Lucella to feel bad about this. One person acting excited and genuinely happy is better than a hundred acting rather mellow, right?

"Oh, and do you manage everything here alone...?" Amitie said, not having seen anyone else around. Manakete or not, it seemed kind of horrible to leave a single person to do what seemed to be a job for many. "If you need any help with physical labour, feel free to ask me. I'm pretty strong, you know!"

Lucella smiled "I'm happy for you to be here, Amitie." she told her. It didn't matter to her directly that Amitie got on her knees, but she appreciated the intent behind that gesture.

"Oh, I'd love tell you about Naga!" Lucella squeed, her eyes lighting up. Lucella literally squeed in a very little girl way. Suffice to say that Lucella wasn't quite as mature as she tried to appear, and there was occasionally incidents such as this, where the little girl side of Lucella shone through.

Lucella blushed a bit "O-oh, my apologies for that." she stuttered, regaining her composure after embarrassing herself.

"To make this clear, the worship of Lady Naga isn't mutually exclusive with others. We acknowledge the existence of other deities, we even acknowledge that they may well be worthy of worship. We don't even hold that Naga is responsible for creation. We leave that decision up to our members." Lucella told her.

"Naga perhaps isn't the strongest deity, we simply find her to be the one most worthy of worship. Naga was once a manakete, like myself, albeit far more powerful. At that time, the land she was born had a war between humans and dragons, with the manakete taking both sides. Her grace, however, wisely refused to get involved in such a conflict. Instead, she spent years trying to find the source. She found it... it was dark god, made of a primordial mix of hatred and chaos, who called himself Grima." she explained.

She nodded "She, however, did not confront him immediately. Instead, she traveled to the shrines of many gods, and sat at the feet of many dragon slayers to learn. Each enchanted her blade, a Falchion, until it became such a weapon worth of slaying a god: the Exalted Falchion. With it, she alone slew the fell dragon, Grima. Naga, however, went far from unrewarded for her efforts: by slaying him with a god's power, she inadvertently stole and purified the power of Grima, transforming her into our goddess. With her newfound power, she healed her battlescarred homeland, and ended the war between humanity and dragonkind, before ascending."

She smiled after the tale "We believe that Naga watches over her believers, and grants them the strength of spirit to end conflict and persevere. She loves all who are good, and tries to help the wavering. Those who die who believe in her ascend to her plane, a village of unprecedented plenty, where nobody is for want."

She kept smiling, and asked "If there's any more specific questions you have, I'd love to answer them." in a genuinely cheerful, but gentle tone.

She giggled at Amitie's offer "That would be lovely if you would sometime. I can do some lifting and carrying in my dragon form, but between my size and shifting to and from that form, it's difficult to get things done." she told her "But yes, I do many things myself. I do get some services through local professionals though."

Did she just...

Amitie got a childish grin of her own as Lucella made that adorable little noise. She was like, so cute! Were they not in a... very temply place, Amitie would probably leap forward and cradle this cute little child within her arms. However, she barely managed to suppress these urges. Her hands gently dug into the fabric of her jeans, tugging it back-and-forth within her digits.

"No, no, don't worry~" Amitie said, doing her best to keep her own composure like Lucella was doing herself, moving her left hand in front of her face and waving the situation off. She shuffled her hands along the edges of her pants, straightening out the slight indents her clothing before looking back at Lucella and listening to her story.

Okay. got it.

It sounded like while they considered this... Naga a deity, they did not see them as a sole God. More like a very, very evolved being of their own! It slaughtered an evil deity and became a benevolent one herself... Sounds like a fine story! Amitie wasn't very religious herself, partially because her family neglected to teach her the values of faith, but she did understand the need to 'believe'!

"Naga sounds like a wonderful deity and a wonderful her~" Her words were partially soothed by the fact that she was speaking to a child this cute. Had an adult told this tale, she would've probably laughed at them and told them they're delusional for believing such a fairy tale.

But it's very hard to be harsh like that when you're talking to a sweet girl like Lucella! Everything suddenly sounded pure and soothing... it truly sounded like a tale she believed in rather than a tale she was forcing herself to believe in!

"Ah, I'm sure I'll have some better questions... later! I don't want to overload you now." the redhead let out a happy giggle as she said that, gently raising herself back to her legs and wrapping them together behind her body.

"Right now I'm pumped, energetic~" Amitie said, stretching her arms a bit behind her before making a quick little fistpump and leaving them at neutral. "Is there any help you need, right now? I'd love to assist you!" because she knew that manaketes were dragonfolk, she wasn't actually surprised by Lucella's words. However, again, she imagined a cute little whelp rather than anything of an actual threatening size.

Lucella giggled, and told her "Well, we certainly believe that." While the church wasn't packed to the brim where those who shared her faith, there were a few Naga worshipers in Hyakuji. She intended to change that, if she could "It's no trouble at all; if you want to ask more questions, I'd certainly be more than happy to answer them." Lucella loved talking about her goddess, after all, if a certain squee earlier hadn't made that abundantly clear.

Lucella smiled when Amitie offered to help "Thankfully, most of the heavy lifting has been finished." She continued "What needs to be done now is putting the Book of Naga behind the pews. If you could help me get the boxes of books by the door-"

Lucella gestured towards the door that Amitie had walked through, as there were a number of large boxes "It'd be simple either way, but it would take more time for me to deal with the front, since those boxes are really heavy." she told her "I may be stronger than I look, but that's not saying much." Really, Lucella had the strength of a kid older than she looked, but that was it.

Lucella's excitement alone made Amitie want to ask for more! Hell, she felt ever-so-slightly guilty for changing the subject. Ah, she wouldn't want to make someone as cute as Lucella upset, after all! The younger and cuter the people were, the more Amitie felt like babying them. Because of how small Lucella was, and how adorable she had been acting this entire time... well, the result was obvious! At this point, Amitie's behaviour might've slightly started to slightly cross the barrier of what a big sister would actually do or not-

Nope, she wasn't being a lolicon or a cutephile at all! S-she had simply been cheerful today, making her even more pleasant towards people she could act like an older sister over than usual! "Those boxes?" Amitie pointed at them to confirm, before smiling and nodding back at the little dragon-girl she was assisting. Cheerfully, she stepped forward, carefully stacking all the boxes on one-another before simply lifting them all, putting her superhuman strength to good use for once!

She would quickly move to spread the boxes around the church, putting them equidistant throughout the temple, among the benches. This meant that Lucella would only have to move the individual books a little... Amitie didn't know if she would actually be allowed to touch those things. Maybe they were like some other holy books, and only those fulfilling special conditions could touch them! Or something.

Well, Amitie simply didn't want to be disrespectful!

"And done~" she would cheerfully exclaim, raising one fist triumphantly as if bragging about her physical strength before sitting herself down in front of Lucella again. "Is there anything else I can help with~?" she'd ask, continuing before Lucella had the chance to respond.

"I'm kind of interested in hearing more, though~!"

But for what reasons...

Lucella nodded "Yes, if you would." she told her, the manakete's tone cheerful but calm. She watched Amitie move the boxes quite quickly. Aside from herself and her fellow manaketes, Lucella had a couple of superpowered members in her congregation; however, they were always rare. Although individual human members often were lost to memory, those stuck out, along with a few particularly pious individuals who would have easily been worthy of the priesthood themselves, and some otherwise noteworthy individuals and families.

Lucella smiled gently after Amitie moved the boxes. Honestly, it was always nice getting help, since she didn't exactly have great physical prowess.

She smiled "I'll take care of placing them on the pew soon. Thank you very much." She wasn't going to do too much while she had a guest around; it would probably be rude, and she would have the time later.

She smiled, listening to the girl's enthusiasm, and nodded "Certainly, what else would you like to here about. I have aallllll day." she told her, not catching the childish way she pronounced 'all'.
