Ricard frowned watching the situation unfold, this whole thing had the potential to turn out badly and that was before this world devouring evil even arrived. It would be a bit irritating if people began to turn against each other here.

Standing back Ricard decided to wait patiently and observe before acting on anything. If people began to get a bit hot blooded then he'd step in to try and defuse the situation but as of right now it seemed like there was a wide difference in opinion, the boy that had helped him against the demon seemed to be the only one reasonably okay with the situation. Ricard was betting on his intelligence to back down now to prevent the situation from going out of control.

Then again who knew what could happen in this situation. Despite his earlier train of thoughts Ricard spoke up after Hiro towards Lenny. "Don't forget, she said that she was one of three winners." He coldly stated, trying to get the point across. "If you are willing to bet that you'd get your promise with two other people vying for the power you'd most likely be wrong." Trying to present this in a logical point of view. Granted there was a few fallacies but hopefully the veiled threat that Hiro commented on would also dissuade Lenny.

Ricard stepped forward adding his own two cents about the plan being offered up. "Surely with that line of reasoning won't we need the other two victors to properly restrain the creature?" Ricard inquired, it seemed through her line of logic that would be the next reasonable step. However it was a creature that was definitely outside of his understanding so for all he knew it could be something utterly different.

The Middleman (stubborn, yet relaxed)
"Technically, Hiro-sensei, one (aka the Machine King) barely attacked us at all and threw our attacks back at us. The other (aka old squid-face) just stood around as we hit it with great numbers and finally with that certain thing (aka Persona Barrage)." Shad whispered close to Hiro, a little annoyed that his teacher was so upbeat about fighting such a dangerous threat. "What the lady is saying is that this monster is a Class S threat according to the Magic Council, something that won't just stand around but be constantly moving to destroy the world country by country with a unknown power and possibly be immune to magical and conventional means of attack, turning everything to ash and dust on contact. It's not something we can just 'punch out' if we have no idea what or who it is, meaning it has to be re-sealed before it gets here. Unless of course, we still have that* available as a last resort since history was reset before it was used."

"And you! For crying out loud, we live here!" He pointed angrily towards Lenny, upset that the guy had such a narrow view of life. "Humans, animals, and the freaking ecosystem are currently in balance. We do not need re-shaping, but she could always use that power to save other worlds, like Mars or Jupiter, to make them inhabitable. Using it here would be like blowing up the sun a second time to put us all into the deep sleep, it's completely over-kill since there's nothing wrong with the planet or it's inhabitants."

"But I digress." He calmed down, breathing in and out before facing the tall lady, "Now that you gave us the lowdown on what you and your two rivals have been doing these past few months, please explain then as to why it would take a week for such a monster to come here? As in, where are we to expect it to enter our plane of existence and make landfall? And for that matter, can you locate the other two rivals? After all, if we were to defeat them both, they'll surrender their power to you and you can re-seal the beast before it breaches into our world."

Beware The Penguin Emperor
Twirling into action, a certain purple haired mirror girl had found her way into the school grounds. Specifically, she had noticed what was happening and in that time she ran to the restroom, used her transformation into Carol, and added a white cape, she bought at a discount from a Halloween costume pile in a novelty store.

The cape, which she had not adapted to her size and thus had to be careful not to step on it and trip, as was already usual for herself, was completely white, adorned with a gaudy looking plastic jewel in the center, probably intended for a prince costume. It waved along the cold breeze, for a second actually achieving the desired effect before it spun around and hit her face.

After shuffling to take the piece of cloth away from herself, she decided to tie the lower part to her waist, even if it impeded movement slightly, at the very least she'd have the style of the character she portrayed.

"Worry not, as MIRROR KREUSS is here to save the day!"

Disregarding the fact that most of the people gathered around her had far more power than she did, she created her own dramatic entrance.

----

Meanwhile, a blue haired boy was making his way from the arcade, having learnt of what was happening at the school through the voices of the masses, he had had enough time to absorb 2200 pixels, and bringing his total to 3200 pixels, before catching a cab towards the high school, using the allowance for three days at the arcade to reach the place quickly.

It had been some time since the incident with Bocky, which had marked the last time he used his powers. Still wary of what he could become if he used the abilities without proper care, the incident had allowed him to overcome at least part of what had caused him to be scared in the first place. And even he knew that his teenage angst came second to saving people.

As the cab arrived, it appeared that their was already a large crowd gathered, many of whom he knew personally, and trusted in their strengths. he leapt off, giving the money to the driver, and wordlessly joined the crowd.

“You’re so fucking full of shit! First of all we didn’t do dick to the Machine King, he fucking surrendered to us you shit eater! We didn’t even scratch him once! If he wanted to he would have killed all of us!” He was lively now, exacerbated. The scattered attempts against him had made him furious, but nothing had pissed him off more than the gall of that piece of shit Hiro. “And don’t act like you’re such a tough piece of shit, you don’t even have the fucking balls to eliminate someone responsible for killing the whole human race!”

He approached the mage, turning to look at those around him, his shoulder haemonculi agitated, on full alert. “And what the hell do you mean by ‘letting the people decide’ you two-faced thunder cunt!? Humanity destroyed itself, period. Without any interference the Machine King would have risen to power, if you believed even a mustard seed of what you just said you would have just left time god-damn linear, at least if everyone remembered the Machine King humanity could learn! But no, you and the rest had to hit the reset switch so humanity learns fucking nothing and you can be a fucking savior! We decided to leave mankind uneducated so we could stay static” He was livid now, absolutely livid, the haemonculi on his shoulder were hissing. “And that magic ‘bullshit’ is the greatest tool humanity has to advance. Mages are getting more and more powerful and public, are you going to go out and stop some archmage when magic goes industrial, so the 'people' can decide? Or is the use of magic ‘not letting humanity decide’?! Let me tell you, you can knock down everyone of these new gods like her that show up to protect your cottering old ideal world, but its people like her who can actually advance humanity. Do you expect those of us with powers to just sit back and let humanity decide! Aren’t we humanity?! And don’t we have a right to reshape the Earth!?” He was a foot from Hiro now, his breathing coming heavily, his face grimaced. Lenny was still adamant to let this woman reshape the world after the apocalypse. If there was competition they could deal with it, one of the kings had died easily, the others would go down just as well.

“Enough.”

Eva stepped between Lenny and Hiro, pushing the two apart. “Your bickering solves nothing. All you’re doing is wasting time that could be used to prepare for the arrival of this creature.” She stared at Lenny and his haemonculi, her expression dull and her voice monotone. “You are forgetting that you are part of humanity, not its representative, such choices cannot be decided by a small minority. Or do you believe yourself so superior to the rest of humanity that you can dictate the fate of an entire species?”

“I must agree with Lenny on one matter however.” The gynoid then turned to Hiro. “Humanity learns through mistakes, overwriting their memories of the Machine King effectively negates the sacrifices of those who suffered under the Machine King’s reign to give us this valuable lesson. One could argue that they are not ready for such knowledge, but if that is the case, when will they be?”

Without another word Eva left the two and walked up to Naja. “I trust you will aid us in the coming conflict then? At the very least you can attempt to atone for your mistakes.” She cast a glance at Kaito and the other people gathered. “The time for deliberation has passed. Those who will aid in the protection of this world speak up now. Or if you choose otherwise…” The gynoid stared at Lenny once more. “Make your stance known to all.”

"Eva is right. The time fo talking is over. The time we spend arguing with each other is more time this thing has to get stronger." said Kaito looking at everyone gathered. He looked back at the two kings and then spoke up. "Again...we cant change the past and all the trouble you have caused, but you can help us change the future and save the world. Ill ask you once more. Are you with us? Or against us? The same goes for all of you too! Will you fight ? Or will you stand around waiting for the world to be destroyed? Make your decisions now!" said Kaito loudly.

"That most people aren't aware the Machine King existed has nothing to with Mr Tsukasa, it was a side effect of time changing, and that version of the future no longer existing. We were 'immune' due to being at the eye of the storm, to put it in layman's terms." Tyzal was turning up at about this point, the young lad whose true name wasn't all too well known briefly flicking through a holographic screen. With one small gesture, he sent the screen away, and moved to do what noone else had thus far...
And actually help the wounded woman - the one that he had faced alongside the likes of Shad some time ago - to her feet. She might have been somewhat taller than him, but it wouldn't be too hard to get into the right position for some lift. Magic or not, as he recollected some of her abilities and saw the current effects of others, he'd feel much better knowing she actually got some treatment.

"And whilst this seems to be yet another means of changing the world, from the sounds of it, the metaphysics are a great deal less complicated. This thing wakes up and gets loose, then everybody dies as part of the groundwork. Can't really abide by outright genocide like that." Tyzal was objecting both on his own personal moral grounds, but also his - largely unspoken in this setting - duty as an officer of Star Force. The protection of sentient races from such things was part of the deal.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I need to make sure this one gets a proper check up." Whether he had to lift or drag the woman, Tyzal would try to make her move along with him towards the school building.

He doubted she'd try anything, but he was slightly on edge just in case.

Spike spit on the ground, "None of that crap matters. I don't care who thinks they get to decide how everything goes. If they're causing me trouble I'll beat them down." Spike spoke clearly. That was who he was. If the wizard teacher decided he was going to rule the world Spike wouldn't hesitate for a moment to attack him, though that was the sort of decision he would probably end up regretting.

"So, tell me where we need to go already! I don't need to mess around with this." He gritted his teeth. This sort of thing was, of course, beyond his proper comprehension so all he could choose to do was follow the direct course and go with the crowd.

One does not simply eat one packet of mee goreng
"...Even in the face of destruction they could still argue with each other... Che..." The former-ghost lady silently cursed under her breath. Admittedly it was only Lenny's opinion that ended up being quite the opposite of the rest, but really, she's more likely to find faults in them than to readily admit that whatever had been fueling her ideal for over a thousand years was nothing more than her own self-delusion. "I honestly fear what the far future would hold... if this is what I am seeing..."

She said nothing else on the subject as she stepped back, and lightly floated up into the air with a small flock of ethereal pink butterflies materializing and surrounding her. "I am afraid you and I are on our own," She announced to everyone gathered, including the newer arrivals. "There is no guarantee that the other two would be willing to assist us. Even if they would, I have no guarantee that whatever is being released could even be restrained, and would continue with its purpose until nothing is left..."

She went silent for a moment as more of the ethereal butterflies continued to engulf her. But before it could do so completely, she spoke up. "...It is my ideal to bring absolute peace to this world. Mark my word. For as long as this world still drowns in chaos..."

The butterflies engulfed the last of her visible silhouette, before immediately dispersing and everywhere and completely disappeared in a cloud of pink mist. Nothing else remained of the formerly-ghost Lady Saigyouji, except for her echoing words...

"...I will return,"

"Look at her go," Jen remarked as Lady Saigyouji departed in a flutter of ethereal pink butterflies; she wasn't sure if it was because she was disillusioned at humanity over their seeming inability to reach a unified agreement even in the face of an imminent apocalypse, or perhaps deep within, she ultimately gave in to her own newly-regained humanity and found the allure of absolute power something to be too tempting to pass up. "Guess this just leaves us with one option then," the purple-haired girl shrugged. "And if her words are any indication of her intent, I think none of us are gonna be part of her new world should she get her wish. And even if we are, chances are we won't be ourselves anyway - for better or for worse."

Theoretically, the world being destroyed and remade didn't really sound like such a scary thought to Jen - sure, they'd all die when the world is destroyed, but rebuilding the world could mean everyone could get resurrected along with it, except that that didn't sound like Lady Saigyouji's intent at all, at least not from what Jen could deduce from the former spirit's choice of words. "Still, she's got a point," Jen smiled and nodded as she gestured towards Eva with her right thumb. "Perhaps now is the best chance for us to demonstrate why humans don't need gods and miracles... because the human spirit is a force that creates miracles!" the purple-haired girl held up her phone triumphantly, and if anyone cared to check it out, would reveal that she'd recorded the whole affair from the moment Lady Saigyouji appeared and began to address the crowd.

"This one needs to go to the proper authorities, to humanity's leaders, to let them know the threat we are currently facing," the purple-haired girl remarked as she removed the Micro SD card from her phone, which contained the recorded video, before making her way over to Hiro and passing the storage media to the teacher. "Well, looks like the time for talk has passed. It's time we start laying down the game plan to cancel the apocalypse!' Perhaps, it was as Eva had said, humanity could still gain something out of this; that if they could stand shoulder to shoulder to overcome this adversity, they might learn that the human spirit is a miraculous force indeed.

Mugen wasn't so optimistic the he could believe that any sort of universal reset button was benevolent enough to see to it that they would all be alive at the end of the day. A giant monster, marching towards the school, with the intention of wiping them off the face of the Earth? Yeah, he was terrified. His throat tightened and his heart hammered in his chest. He tuned out the arguments, mind working at a million miles per second. Already he was sliding his consciousness into military servers and finding pictures of the thing taken by UAVs and satellites in orbit. Recon mission done, he snapped back to reality, immediately realizing how pale he was, and that there was a cold, unpleasant sweat beading along his neck and spine. "Holy crap that thing is huge..." He felt sick, knees knocking. He wasn't a warrior, or some fireball flinging mage. He was a techie, and a pacifist at that. He'd never built anything that could kill or destroy.

That's right coward, run away just like you always do...

Where the hell had that come from? He blinked, looking around, but no one was paying attention to him. He shook his head and ignored it, then started pushing his way through the crowd again.

What's that gang of yours going to think if they're all fighting for their lives while you hide in that bunker of yours?

Was that supposed to be his sub-conscience? Some nagging little voice in the back of his head that wouldn't leave him alone until he did the right thing? Or maybe he was just cracking under the pressure. Lovecraftian Nightmares, a World Ending Monster marching to shore, and school work? Who could blame him for losing it. Sighing, he swallowed his fear and went back to Spike's side.

"So if we're going to fight this thing, then how do we kill it?" He asked loudly, assuming that the important people would hear his question and answer accordingly.

It seemed quite the number of people was gathering there, and already began to discuss about what to do.
Many threats were mentioned, names Naja didn't even know. It seemed the people in this school were quite used to planetary threats after all.

Among them, only one had quite the opposite line of thoughts: Naja's crystal clear eyes took note of that boy, and of the unusual creature hissing on his shoulder.
That boy was actually ok with a complete destruction of everything. How could he be so blind? How could he be so stupid? How could he be in favour of a thing like that? Did he realized he was among the thing that could end erased forever?

Naja reckognized the boy that approached to help her stand up.
The tall woman took that chance to no longer remand down, as it was less to be interpreted as a threat that time.
"I'm fine" the long haired woman said, as Tyzal attempted to lead her away "This was nothing I couldn't handle"
Naja moved her hand away from her damaged clothes. Under the circle of teared tissue, her white, smooth and no longer injured skin was visible.

And then, Saigyougi left in a sea of butterflies, after she complained about the ongoing argument.
Naja didn't expect that to happen. But that woman often showed little patience.
Still, up to the defeat of that entities their goals were common. Hopefully her leaving would prove to be helpful in the end.

"Humans always argue" she stated "They bicker all the time. They tend to stall everything with pointless discussions. Unfortunately, it's through discussion that people grow. Most of you seem to share a common position though. I regret I have no real way to help with this matter except my own abilities. I can't provide an easy way to stop this incoming threat, but I'll do what I can to help. I never wanted the world to be destroyed. I never wanted people to die. I'll do what I can to prevent that from happening."
Naja silently stared at Lenny. A cold stare with no further words.

NICE DRIVE!
"Tch," Hiro scoffed in the aftermath of Lenny's outburst that was quickly shutdown by the intervention of several others to re-focus the topic towards the problem at hand, "What a foul-mouthed brat. I'm grateful the rest of you aren't so unhinged or we'd be facing an even steeper hill to overcome with this threat." It was amusing to the Magus. For having so many things to say, the kid had really said nothing at all. But Sophia was right. This wasn't the time for arguing among ourselves.

It was then that Jen passed on the Micro SD to Hiro. Nodding slowly in agreement, the teacher pocketed the tiny card. "I'll take care of it," he replied confidently, "And I'll see who else I can call favors in on to help our odds." The benefit of Hiro's position, particularly those he held secret from the mundane world, was that he knew a lot of people that happened to be expertise with just such world ending catastrophes. While usually there wouldn't be any guarantee of pulling in so much support, it would be hard to decline and ignore such a plea when the end result would likely impact everyone on the planet regardless.

"And as for stopping it," Hiro picked up as another asked the most obvious question on the matter, "Who can say until we're face to face with this thing. You just can't accept failure as an option. Until then, everyone should do what they can to prepare and make their peace about things; just in case." Saying thus, Hiro snapped his fingers and vanished in a sudden flash. There was much to do and little time to waste on his part.

Lenny smiled as Hiro, desperately grasping onto his default, weak defense, a limp and shaky sense of bravado that had no real sharpness, acting as if the disagreement of others had somehow defeated Lenny. He scoffed, knowing that his authority among the crowd would give him victory, even if he had no striking phrases of counterattack to make. It was pathetic to a degree, Hiro depended so much on his reputation that he had no verbal claws anymore like an aging bureaucrat.

As the blossom of butterflies disappeared behind Lenny he wiped a bit of excited sweat from his brow. “Oh yes Hiro, what a little brat I am. I’ve just disarmed you of your greatest ally in this whole thing, I’m just a poor-unhinged child” he replied mockingly, noting Hiro’s vague answers, along with his lack of acknowledgement towards his latest loss. His plan for action suggested more of a stalling for time than anything else, and without giving anything beyond empty motivation he flashed away, like a unsure commander retiring to his tent. I win he thought, knowing that he was playing an entirely different game than what Hiro thought he was playing. It was funny really, Lenny thought being a Magus of such renown required a bit of sharpness of tongue or wit.

A cool gust moved him back into line with the waking world. People were rushing along, talking about hope and human miracles. Lenny went in his own direction, his shoulder haemonculi watching his back. Unfortunately nobody here realized the game that could be played right now. As he stepped past the school grounds he realized how collared they all were, all stuck to one ideology, their view flat, almost painfully linear. Lenny saw the angles and realized that there was a dangerous game to be played here, but one well worth the rewards. Yes he had been shouted down and gained no sympathizers, but he was winning, so that was good.

He stepped into the forest and knew what he must do. Let the others prepare how they may, Lenny would plan as he must.

"Such a waste of time, should've just flattened her if she has the nerve to say that she'll create absolute peace. Brings shivers down my back just thinking about how that could be accomplished with godly power." Shad muttered, kicking a small rock as soon as the tall ghost lady left via butterfly teleportation. Still, there was the option of Hiro deploying the Madan weapon (depending on how the time travel reversal 'reset' the ultimate weapon back to it's original holding area, since it wouldn't have been used in the future after all) upon it.

'And of course, we have zero information on the other two, the location of where the monster is to appear, what powers/weaknesses, and so on. If she doesn't know, why ask us to help? It's plain insulting is what it is, we're willing to assist but she wants to put it off til the last minute before sending us against whatever is coming.' He thought, already starting to formulate a plan in his head. Hopefully Hiro will allow him the usage of Arcadian tools for this sort of event, if the entire world is threatened by this trio of reckless morons.
