Accursed end of the world deal. Who would have thought that would be the first thing she has to deal with the first few minutes she got reborn? It wouldn't be Hyakuji, let alone Hyakuji High School, if there is no strange and mysterious incidents that seem to happen on a regular basis. Today would be no different, as students and teachers of the school alike, as well as any passerby in the vicinity of the school would soon find out. Today's incident however, would lead to a whole other level of disaster. From the sky above, a great swarm of what appears to be a great swarm of pink butterflies materialized into existence, weaving around in a torrent of ethereal energy before gathering together close to the school ground. They would soon disperse and disappear, and from where they had gathered, two people would appear out of nowhere. A panting, exhausted and disheveled woman in an ornate pink kimono, supporting another woman on her shoulder with an injury that looked as though she had been stabbed through by a lance. The pink lady huffed painfully as she dropped the injured woman to the ground, taking a couple of deep breaths before getting back up to her feet, before raising her voice as best as she could and yelling out in a thunderous, booming voice, "EVERYONE, LISTEN TO ME!! THE WORLD IS IN DANGER!!!" |

"Alright. Who do I gotta beat up?" Spike hollered back with the strength of a Spike Ito. His simple world view probably wasn't going to cut it, but he would be there to go along with someone who was better at thinking things through. If there wasn't someone he could charge in on and punch as hard as he could Spike's planning was pretty much done. Spike offered the girl a band-aid. It really wasn't enough to fix anything, but that was what he had to offer. "Sorry, this is all I've got." |

“So did you win?” Lenny was there before long, hopefully that the spirit had won, she had vaguely promised him power and he was eager to lap it up. But he then noticed her fleshy form, and her weak nature. The haemonculi on his shoulder picked out the signs of frailty and mortality on the former spirit; the woman supporting her didn’t look too good as well. As her warning sounded out he immediately thought of the events of the previous year . A chance to save the world and gain glory. A chance to gain the success I deserve and lost? Yes!!!! Though apocalypse loomed Lenny was eager to gain the glory he had lost because of the forgiving nature of his so called allies against the time king. He was in. “So what do we do?” |

This was not exactly one of the best days Shad had to start out with, given into account he lost his homework due it falling out of his backpack and snatched by a fleeing pug. His heavy breathing upon reaching the school was because of him chasing the pug who essentially tore his essay apart by a fire hydrant a mile away, but all thought of it soon vanished minutes later when the butterfly swarm suddenly appeared out of nowhere over the school grounds, in which he fell backwards from the assault. Of course, in doing so, the etheral energy released from the butterflies was slowly absorbed upon contact with his body, causing him to pitch over holding his stomach and grunting feverishly. "So....much...raw power." He groaned, tossing his cookies as a result as the powerful mana faded away. "Much better..." He sighed a bit of relief, a bit sore from the magic that hit him. His eyes flashed in recognition towards the tall lady that appeared before him and the rest of the school, his lips in a scowling sneer, getting back up tp his feet. "Stand back, Spike. This lady was the one that destroyed part of the train car and tried to destroy Hyakuji's main mode of transport." He called out in warning to Spike awhile pointing towards the ghost lady, awhile cursing to himself that he was at the moment unarmed. "She can launch all sorts of razor-sharp wind blades and stuff. Which...I am a bit puzzled as to why you would come here of all places to state the world is in danger considering I still don't know why you attacked the train in the first place. Or why that weirdo in Iraq that I crushed to a pulp was so adamant about wisdom of all things. Seriously, what the heck are you up to that involves the entire world over all? And for that matter, is there a way to prevent whatever calamity you may know about from happening?" He asked, his anger turned into puzzlement and a bit of confusion, awhile wondering if she had come to apologize for her actions as well. Edited by Super Hurricane, May 9 2014, 01:43 AM.

The sudden, piercing pain of that energy ray hit her through the stomach in a blink. She didn't even have time to turn into air to dodge. Naja shivered, and lost her grip on the magical sword Seth gave her. She failed. She stupidly failed. Her attempt was like that of a gust of wind attempting to move a mountain. Only instinct didn't let her fall down. Still, the pain was so sudden, her only thought was to heal the wound before it was too late. Sounds of things around her didn't matter anymore. Her survival instinct took control. That was why she didn't react fast enough to avoid the swarm of butterflies that surrounded her. Now, kneeled on the ground of Hyakuji, Naja's hands were both glowing of a faint light, both kept near the wound through her guts. The woman was barely conscious. She could not use her air shape to reconstitute her body, the wound was too big. She was forced to use healing magic. "Why..." she whispered with her broken voice "We ran...away?" Tissues were reforming, rather quickly at that, but the pain was still there, and her blood was still pouring out. "Gods...be damned" she sibilated with her teeth clenched. That clearly wasn't something she was used to. The woman stared around her. A boy, a student, just handed her a bandage, but she didn't move her hands from her wound. Other students were gathering. Naja's clear eyes focused on the one she reckognized: Shad. That boy was on the train for Osaka. How fitting to see him there. "I made mistakes" she answered to Shad "And I tried to make amend. But I...failed." She though she could control everything. How pitifully stupid she had been. Tricked and discarded. Pain was finally fading, but she didn't want to stand up. Rising on her feet could provoke an attack, and it wasn't the moment. "A forbidden creature has been summoned into this world, and it plans to destroy it. Everything will be consumed." |

'Well, at least she apologized and realized she made mistakes.' Shad thought, briefly taking it all in as he used his left arm to dig into his backpack to bring out his first-aid kit, tossing it over to Spike for the time being. It was how he was able to mend the stab wound so quickly on the way to school. "Fair enough. Spike, catch." "In any case, there are a lot of forbidden creatures locked away or sealed from this world and throughout the universe, many of which consume worlds or even galaxies. Roughly 10,000 so far, I think, with all sorts of weird rules and restrictions that bind them to their isolation and banishment." Shad said calmly, recalling the various monsters of vast power and destruction listed in the Arcadia Archives as well in Hiro's special bookstore. "Would it be possible to narrow down the list some, like a description of what is coming or it's name? Given into account the planet hasn't instantly lost it's gravitational pull sending all of it skywards or our flesh spontanously combusting into flame, I'd say it must be recovering from it's imprisonment before it acts." |

Coming from behind Lenny Kaito appeared. "Well the first thing we should do is find out where this so called creature is. But thats not gonna be easy I guess. !" said Kaito rubbing his eyes in frustration. Ever since.he first heard about the wish from Nieves he knew that something bad would happen...Though he wasnt expecting the world to be in danger. He looked at the ghost but she seemed different...Did ghosts need to breathe? "I tried to warn you. It was dangerous from the beginning, but you were blinded by the the power to change the world and now you must face the consequenes." Kaito then looked at the new person he hadnt met before. She was gravely injured but she seemed to be healing herself. Then she said something about a forbidden creature being summoned?.What the Hell did they release? "Ugh...Well....I guess if this creature is gonna.consume the world, were gonna have to stop it." said Kaito walking up to Naja. He didnt know who she was.or what she would do if he got close but that didnt matter right now. "Personally I wouldnt side with people who release an ultimate evil upon world, but right now beggers cant be choosers. We gonna need everyone we can if we want to beat this thing. Friend and foe. The question is will you just sit and watch the world be destroyed, or will you stand up in fight to save it?" said Kaito offering a helping hand towards Naja. He had a hopeful smile. Even in this horrible situation Kaito didnt want to lose hope. Edited by Kaito, May 9 2014, 04:09 PM.

"Well, isn't this a crock of crap?" Kell asked sardonically, finally speaking up. "First Tokyo, now the world. Honestly, this is getting tiresome." An apocalypse was coming, and they were severely undermanned. Great, just fucking great. How were they supposed to save the planet from a giant monster? It wasn't like there was one special point to smash or a special artifact that they just win with. And given that the goddamned annoying weapon was already summoned, they probably didn't have the time to look for a weakness. Great. Just great. "I suppose somebody here has a bright idea or two?" She held her arms out, clearly not expecting an answer. "No? Thought so." She practically facepalmed. "Well, we'll have to beat it anyways. I swear to God, we better not wing this. Going in against this ridiculously strong enemy without a plan is a stupid, stupid idea." Edited by Flambe, May 14 2014, 12:28 AM.

Eva watched the gathering from her vantage point on the school roof, even at this distance she could hear everything going on below. The one claiming that danger was coming was someone she didn’t know, but given what she saw in Tokyo she knew that this wasn’t something to be taken lightly. The supernatural was more of Sophia’s field, but with the Valkyrie unavailable Eva didn’t have that knowledge to go on. Fortunately the students gathered below shared her sentiments, and so the gynoid decided to join them in grounds below. “Kyoshi Kaito is correct. The most important thing right now is to determine where this… entity will come from.” She spoke up from behind the said aquamancer once she had landed. “From there we can set up a perimeter defence and contain the damages there.” After looking around at the people gathered, it became apparent that just their efforts most likely won’t be enough. “If this entity is as strong as you say, we may need to request assistance from the JSDF, or even other militaries of the world.” Inwardly she knew that such a large scale operation would be extremely difficult if not impossible to set up in a short time frame, but they have to try, right? |

All she did was stare at them all in silence. No, it wasn't the spiky head giving a tiny band aid to help with the near-fatal injury, not Lenny Barrons who immediately inquired for her victory, not even whatever nonsense was being spouted by the odd looking short kid. It was more, despite everything she had done (she had no idea what Naja did but she just assumed it couldn't have been anything better), they're still willing to listen out to her. ...Che, yeah that couldn't have been the case, could it? The only reason they even listened is because they need to save their own skin as well. Under what grounds would they ever forgive her, or Naja here, or the other two contestants for all the problems they've caused? It's incredibly irritating to say the least, realizing that this is the first place that came to mind when she needed a place to escape to. Does she really have any other choices left...? Her teeth gritted, glowering at those who decided to come along. She lowered herself to her knees, planting her hands on the ground before bowing so low her forehead kissed the dirt and spoke in a cracked and hushed voice. "...I-I am... grateful... For your help..." Arguable. It was more than likely that her gratitude was thoroughly forced, but that doesn't matter for now. "Please, do not be so quick to surrender," She said to Kell as she raised her head, and began speaking in her more familiar no-nonsense tone. "There is still a way... hopefully. Not to mention Lenny, you'll be pleased to know that I did win... along with two others. ...Not her, mind," She added as an afterthought, remembering Naja who didn't win before continuing. "As a prize, I-... we, were granted the tool to reshape the world as I know it... And it turned out it's method of 'reshaping' the world involves completely decimating it until nothing is left," A small pause as she cursed herself. "...In any case, that is where there is hopefully still a chance. I am still a part of the victor... I don't know what the other two would do with their... prize, but hopefully..." Her voice fell slightly, looking down at her balled fist. "...Hopefully with the fact... I can tell when and where it would strike, when it comes to this world a week from now... and hopefully I... would be able to control and suppress the creature..." Sounds like a foolproof plan. But if it really was that easy she would have such nagging doubt going on at the back of her head. |

NICE DRIVE!

"Oh no," Hiro Tsukasa chimed in with a weak all too sarcastic tone, "Countdown to the end of the world by giant monster... Never encountered that before~" It wasn't really clear what direction he had been coming from, but it seemed Hiro as the first teacher to respond to the outburst that had been heralded by the swarm of pink butterflies. In truth, it definitely wasn't something to make light of but somebody had to lighten the mood. "I'll be sure to inform the school as a whole on the details," Hiro added taking up a more serious tone and hoping to at least do his part in the matter. These kind of things unfortunately happened just a little too often in Hyakuji, so it was pretty normal for the school to seize up on its activities from time to time to account for handling such problems. If their story was to be believed, it seemed like they would need everyone available to put an end to things. "Although," Hiro continued having spent a few moments mulling over the story he heard upon his approach, "Wishing to remake the world is pretty dumb. Who can say they know what's best for every person in the world? Is an idealized world worth having if it means forcing it upon others that might not share the same feelings? Maybe not everyone in the world has had to dwell so thoughtfully on such things as those of us from around here." It had not been that long ago that the students of Hyakuji trekked across time itself in hopes of stopping the Machine Empire. Truth be told, even he had considered it for a time. What would it be like to turn back and fix the mistakes of the past? To return those lost to Hyakuji far too early in their lives. In the end, the Mage had concluded that such thinking was far too dangerous. Was this any different? Peaceful Oblivion. Control. Power. It seemed those seduced by such ideals were never in any short supply. It seemed a hard idea to reconcile that so many people would pursue such things without regard to past failures. True, only those involved could recall the threat the Machine Empire posed or the menace of Organization XIII, but even the normal course of history held testament to the failures of those mad with power. In the end, Hiro concluded to himself, perhaps it was just some self-bias. It would be different if "I" had the chance; and such. |

Turning misery into meaningfulness!
|
"Ooh, world ending catastrophe is always a mood-changer." Said a boy in a red button up tee and jeans, and a smile. "I'll help, of course! Is the monster resistant to big explosions?" He asked, with a grin. "Because if not, I'm kinda useless, huh." He said, a bit miffed about not being able to kill Godzilla. "I'll still help though!" The boy seemed to be quite determined to not let the world die. Of course, so was everyone else, which kinda helped out alot in this case. "Either way, I could probably singe them. Thats always fun!" He said, with a chuckle. "Now then, wheres the giant beast thing? I wanna fight it!" |

Mugen had no idea what was going on. He'd been pretty bad about staying in the social loop. Stepping out of his dorm room for the first time in what seemed like days, Mugen was shocked to learn that the world was ending! He quickly hurried his way down to the main school grounds, in time to see the lady in pink landing, another injured person in her care. Mugen shouldered his way into the crowd, then heard a familiar bellow. "Well, there's only one moron that could be..." He muttered, just before the student in question roared his name to the heavens. Mugen pushed his way further in, towards the source of the voice, and finally found the leader of his motley street gang. "Spike!" He called out, coming into earshot of his so called 'boss'. 'What the heck's going on man, I heard the world was ending! What're we doing?" |

“wait . . . so you won . . ? While the people around him seemed to clamour for action Lenny thought for a moment. “So, will you be able to remake the world after you reshape it” Kaito had most likely been onto something when he noted Lenny was too happy about this. Lenny, like Hiro, remembered the Machine King; but where Hiro thought they made the right choice to simply make it so none of it ever happened, Lenny had been haunted by his failed wish to change everything. What Hiro called safeguarding Lenny called stagnation. That’s why he was so glad to here of the former-spirits success, she had made a vague promise of power to him, a promise that was alluring. A second chance at a wish that had been stolen from him by many of the people who currently surrounded him. “Because if you can shape the world in its entirety after it is destroyed, I see no reason to stop any of this” It was analytical, but the haemonculi on his shoulder turned to glare at Hiro. “I mean if you have become a god, I think you should stay a god. The world, even if it is destroyed in the process, needs a god like you” The haemonculi on both of his shoulders looked about, watching for any attacks or challenges. The world’s fate was at stake here, he hoped someone here would have the balls to fight for it, even if they were wrong. |

NICE DRIVE!

"Over my dead body," Hiro spoke up in harsh defiance of Lenny's musings, "You're running along a dangerous line of thought. I'd prefer to think humanity's future rested in its own hands. Not pre-set by the will of some higher beings. Even if that power could be used after things are said and done to just reset the status quo, we have no guarantee either of that fact being true nor that the remade world would be the same. And with your general magic bullshit about these kinds of things, I imagine it will be the sort of situation where those of us with hang-ups won't get a chance to ever realize we had them." It was a little surprising to see a student hold such an opinion. To each their own, and all of that. But still, after everything Hyakuji had persevered through, had prevented, it was hard to imagine there could still be those connected to the school that didn't place some positive value on the reality they had defended time and again. Of course, this was merely a kid's outburst in the end. The true wildcards to the situation were these strangers that had started the whole ordeal. "We've punched out 'gods' before," he added narrowing his gaze towards Lenny before casting a glance towards Naja and finally Saigyouji, "And I'll see that it happens again... if I have to." Perhaps it was too hard of an open threat, but from his perspective Hiro had no way to gauge these strangers. If one of them did have the power to remake the world, there was no guarantee the current events weren't just a ruse to align potential threats out of their way. He had heard tales of the encounters students had been having with this lot. He wasn't certain, but Hiro surmised his encounter with Nieves at the Fairy Tail Guild many months ago alongside several students was connected as well. The incidents had seemed primarily isolated up until now. Maybe it was his own fault for not being more involved and dividing his focus elsewhere. Regardless, it was no longer an issue that could be ignored any further. |
