The sun had set and VeNM-KC was calling it a night, the doors locking up once everyone had left. Elizabeth went around and securing the building, making her way to the back of the building on the first floor where she'd meet the security that'd help her patrol tonight. "These buildings are secured but as precaution, we are to reinforce any weak points so we may strengthen them for future use," Elizabeth stated to those who showed up, "Your hours begin now. Rotate between floors, lightly examine each room but go no further. I will be maintaining the other building across the street. If you need to message me, use your transceivers that I have provided. If there is any suspicious activity, contact me immediately and I will return as fast as possible. Any questions?"

Nasir entered the room with no particular flair. He was dark skinned and in an averagely fitted suit, with a black that betrayed a hint of green. His standard issue weapon was at his hip and he looked at those that surrounded him, he had heard that new recruits were coming in today. “Understood” he said in the unenthusiastic tone who considered the response a routine by now.

Without complaint, emotion, or a further word he took his route, a few corroders that lined the server banks and such, the place where he normally worked. ”Testing 1. 2. 3” he stated calmly into the mic on his collar, pushing down on it to turn it on.

‘Designing with the Future in Mind’ what kind of fucking joke is this! Seriously, human patrols!? Why not just set an oversight AI, it doesn’t even have to be fetal, or a mindnet, just a simple binary AI bound to the security system, it would work hundreds of time better than patrols. At least they have the sense to have combat bioroids. He was a Gene line 14 cybersecurity operator, not some gun toting security officer.

He tapped the mic on his lapel again, scowling, the communication was down. Probably nothing he thought to himself. His hand moved to check his sidearm, a weapon issued by his employer, not as good as something from Lab 6, but blending in had a cost.

The halls were quiet and he continued moving. His senses were sharp, his psyche welded by his masters at Lab 2 to never lose focus even on the most tedious of tasks. Even though the mike was dead he sent out area secure messages when he was supposed to, a measure in case it was merely his receiver not working.

He entered one of the larger office blocks, the server diagnostics sector where he worked. This was his type of security, programs, ICE; although he had to admit the company didn’t really have the tech to let him fully stretch his muscles, and too much moralism to let him get out the really effective stuff. Eh, at least its quiet

(OOC: Please do not double post)

The night seemed very quiet despite a few noises coming from outside, the nightlife still a thing even in a city that's geared toward students. After Nasir tapped on his mic, testing it verbally, Elizabeth replied, "The device is functioning properly," she said, the audio coming in crystal clear. Elizabeth simply stood in the second floor of the neighboring building, using the cameras remotely as she monitored both buildings; in and out. Hiring security guards was Valentines idea, hoping to enlist locals so they'd have money in their pocket to grow the economy, therefore she'd hope they'd buy their products. Word of mouth traveled fast, especially within a city like Hyakuji.

About an hour passes without any activity, Elizabeth relaying information to Nasir about the lack of activity and encouraging him to keep up the good work. Minutes afterwards, Elizabeth picked up some movement outside the main building, seeing that there were at least three individuals approaching from the back of the building. "Be aware, there are at least three individuals nearing the rear of the building. They are rather close and their projected target seems to be this building," Elizabeth informed Nasir, hoping he was ready if anything were to happen.

As he heard the warning Nasir began to head near the rear of the building. As he moved to that location without excess noise or excitedness he removed his side-arm, ejected and checked his magazine, tested the guns weight, and holstered it. “Requesting back-up at the location. Requesting discretionary use of deadly force” His voice sounded business-like without a hint of flavor, not worryingly monotone, but drone like. He was an operator for Lab 7 of Ursalia, he was trained for this, his mind had been shaped for events like this. Though he was primarily trained for cyber defences every Ursalian operator had acceptable firearms proficiency. But, well trained to obey, he knew to ask his superiors for permission first.

“I’m currently approaching the position, please alert all other incoming operators to my presence and keep me posted on all status updates” As he approached the back his movements became quieter, more slow. He turned corners and hugged walls, using them as cover. His side-arm was gripped in his hands now, though his safety was purposely on and his fingers were off the trigger. Anyone watching would be aware of his level of training.

"Deadly force: denied. Casualties are not part of the job, therefore deadly force will never be permitted," Elizabeth said over the commusystem, her tone quite clear that she was serious. "I am relocating now and will be at your location within several minutes, do not engage them. If they are merely passing by and examining the building from the exterior, let them go. Remain hidden otherwise, your immediate presence should catch them off guard if they do decide to enter the building."

After giving the order, Elizabeth made her way to the main building while also keeping the surveillance up, her eyes all over and in the building; metaphorically. As a minute went on, it was clear the three weren't going to be leaving the area anytime soon. They all remained silent just outside one of the rear doors of the building, trying to hear if anyone was inside. After a couple seconds of not hearing anything, the door began to heat up, the handle glowing red as a light just outside the door intensified. Eventually the door gave way, the handle slightly melting from whatever heat source was applied to it.

The door was suddenly kicked down, the heat source coming from one of the three individuals, his skill in pyromancy being quite efficient or at least it seemed that way. They quickly entered the building, unaware that security was on high alert.

What was going through Nasir’s head as he heard the denial command of his superior? Not much actually, Nasir’s gene line and mental conditioning made him almost incapable of questioning orders in a time like this. Why shouldn’t he use deadly force? It was obvious, he had been commanded not to, end of argument. He didn’t holster his weapon however, he removed the clip and ensured there wasn’t anything left in the chamber, a gun is enough of a threat even if it isn’t loaded.

This wasn’t unexpected to him, however. While he found it odd he was aware that Corporations had less power outside of Ursalia. Within his native country it was entirely acceptable for a Lab’s guards to kill any individual lacking a ID chip on sight. It wouldn’t even constitute any kind of legal action or mention, Lab’s, out here they would be called corporations, had absolute sovereignty within their own compounds, execution was to be expected. At the moment, however, his combat training kept him from making such comparisons.

His movement slowed as he got closer and closer to the targets, though he never entered a room or hallway adjacent to the intruders. He remained out of sight, out of mind in a personal Mushin No Shin. He didn’t make much efforts to observe, he wasn’t an Ursalian stealth operative so he would most likely be caught if he tried. Silently he whispered to his superior, “Affirmative, I’ve disarmed my weapon, maintaining distance from intruders, making no attempt to observe or engage”

"Continue to be on standby until I give you the signal," Elizabeth said, continuing to make her way to the main building and down to the appropriate floor. The three individuals began making their way around through the building, searching for any sort of object they could get their hands on. They seemed like no more than your average thieves, only they had powers instead of weapons. Based on their height, voice and build, the three seemed to be merely teenagers, possibly attending Hyakuji High.

"Where do they keep all the good stuff?" One of the individuals said, his voice clearly audible as the building echoed sound lightly. "They must keep it on a higher level," Another said, suggesting they move upwards to another floor. The three made their way to a flight of stairs on the opposite end of where they entered, climbing up to the second floor and quickly looking around. "Okay, follow them up and we will surround them. Use the stairs so they have no way of escaping." Elizabeth ordered, ready to apprehend them within a moments notice from her own position.

As the voices reverberated throughout the building Nasir moved as quietly as he could, shallowing and restricting his own breathing, realizing the measures may not be entirely necessary. The communications between the intruders made him realize that his opponents were most likely amateurs; it wasn’t their youth that attested to this, Ursalia employed a few operatives that had the appearance of seven year olds, but their loudness and questions. No self respecting infiltrator would speak this loudly and only a select few would actually attempt to infiltrate a compound without some knowledge of the layout and knowing what they were trying to steal.

Disarmed gun in hand he slid up next to the bannister, ready to turn into the stairwell when he was told to. “In position, I’ll move in on your mark. What method of apprehension would be prefered? Intimidation?” his voice no more than a throat reverberation he communicated to his superior. He was ready, not truly anxious but anticipating. He had been trained for more than this, something lesser would be no problem.

"Stun them with little damage as possible," Elizabeth ordered, "But keep them conscious." Elizabeth had clear sight of the intruders, slowly moving up to them with her stealth camouflage active that rendered practically invisible to them. "Engage," Elizabeth said, giving the order to enter and restrain the individuals. Elizabeth herself began attacking, keeping the stealth on as she attacked. Elizabeth went after one of the three closest to her, the intruder attempting to fight back but unable to see his opponent. He began using his own power, a burst of wind rushing towards her. Papers began flying around, some stopping in midair due to Elizabeth and thus blowing her cover.

Once she was found out, Elizabeth disabled her invisibility and continued the attack regardless. The other two individuals were mostly focused on her, attempting to back up their partner who had initially engaged her. A fireball flew towards Elizabeth, the wind from the other intruder causing the fireball to increase in size due to the oxygen it provided. Once Nasir entered, he'd catch the attention of the fire wielder, if he had made his presence known. Otherwise, all three would continue to focus on Elizabeth.

"Stun them with as little damage as possible,"

The command came through clear, but Nasir was unsure if he would be unable to entirely comply. He had combat training, but most of it was firearms focused, he lacked the necessary techniques of an Ursalian extraction operative who would be able to stun and remove these adversaries quite effectively. He was about to inform his superior of his difficulties in complying, but the order to engage came too quickly.

He advanced up the stairs, lunging silently with his sidearm held low. Flashes of orange and stray leaflets of paper flew down towards him as the intruders were engaged. As he took a good position, about a dozen feet down the stairs from the main group he attempted to force the enemies into surrender.

“Get the fuck on the ground!” Gun held firmly in both hands and aimed, crouched on one knee, Nasir shouted out in a accent that was undeniably Middle Eastern and agressive. “Get your god forsaken hands on the ground! You’ve use lethal force on corporate porperty and I am more than authorized to blast any of you motherfuckers!” He was shouting, gun pointed, safety off, finger on the trigger. His face was grimaced, hard. “On your knees, on your goddamn knees!”

Two of the three turned their attention to the person who began shouting behind them, the pyrokinesis continuing to fight against Elizabeth. He continued shooting fireballs at Elizabeth, attempting to do away with her since she didn't seem capable of fighting. Of course he was fatally wrong, Elizabeth simply waiting for the right moment to strike. Meanwhile, the other two began attacking Nasir, "No way old man!" One shouted towards him and using his aerokinesis to push him away.

The third tried to move in after the aerokinisist launched his attack, hoping to get in close. As he moved in, he began launching his own attack, firing pointed icicles at him that formed in his palm. It'd seem that this one was a cryokinesist, chilling the air and using it to form ice.

“Once again requesting the use of lethal force” he stated silently through his speaker as the robbers called his bluff. Unfortunately the stairwell was devoid of cover and the wind blast did blow Nasir back down the stairs. As the Cryokineticist charged in with icicle hands Nasir willingly gave up his balance, sending him tumbling down the stairs in such a way that his rising foot would meet the lunging assailant's stomach while Nasir, propelled in a circular manner, would tumble on top of his assailant.

As he fell back Nasir kept his sidearm firmly aimed at his assailant while using his other hand to reach into his belt, flipping out a short belt knife that would prove useful if this became a grappling match. His manual dexterity served his well as his fingers pulled out the glinting steel.

"Request denied. You are to stun them while causing as little damage as possible," Elizabeth restated using the comm system without physically saying anything. With one swift dodge after the pyrokinesist shot another fireball, Elizabeth gave him a heavy blow to the stomach and incapacitating him. The pyrokinesist clutched his stomach and fell to the ground, throwing up whatever he had eaten prior to the break in. She looked at him, determining if he was going to get up any time soon and concluding that he probably wasn't. Nonetheless, Elizabeth pulled out a thin metal rod and tied his hands up using it like a pair of handcuffs.

The cryokinesist saw that the man was falling down the steps, attempting to chase after him but didn't see the foot coming up to hit him. Cryo pulled back in order to dodge but was unsuccessful and the kick ended up hitting him in the jaw, causing him to fall back on the stairs and slide down them while unconscious. "You'll pay for that!" the Aerokinesist said, jumping onto the rail of the stairwell and sliding down them. Aero jumped off the rail and turned his body in mid air so his feet would touch the wall, then using his aero abilities to launch himself directly at Nasir.

He would later reflect on how much he hated the lack of corporate sovereignty in the outside world. As he caught his footing, gun in right hand, belt knife in left, he heard the immediate shout as the Aerokinetic wall ran towards Nasir. He was aware his previous assailant was rolling down the stairs, one less problem to deal with, and prepared to repeat the process.

“Cyro disabled, no major injuries” He swung his left arm launching his admittedly unbalanced gun the the elemancer flung himself forward through the air. Nasir followed the momentum of the arm and fell prone, his body turned upwards with the belt knife clutched at the ready. The thrown gun would either hit or distract the target who, most likely unable to change his momentum mid air, would overshoot the prone Nasir and either fall down the stairs or smack head first into the sloping ceiling and badly hurt himself. That was the plan at least.
