Mugen had never had so much fun in his entire life. He couldn't stop 'wooing' ever few minutes, as the monstrous motorcycle ramped over some hill or turned at just the right angle and speed. Mugen had never ridden on anything quite so fast, and he couldn't help but enjoy it. Still, he was certain his enthusiasm was annoying the hell out of the sarcastic snarker that Spike had sent along with him. They were pretty far up into the foot hills of the mountain, and the trail leading up to the bunker wasn't much further up. The few trees they passed were spaced far enough apart that they needn't have worried about crashing...not that Behemoth would have allowed it. Mugen had spent the entire ride studying the marvelous machine. Whoever had built the bike was brilliant, the whole thing was bafflingly complex. He didn't understand how it worked, or why...it just did.

Strangely enough, the bike seemed to be receptive to Mugen's technopathic interface. he could communicate with it...to a degree. He could ask it to do things, but he couldn't command Behemoth, which seemed to have a sentient mind of its own. this was Mugen's second brush with what he could only describe as Artificial Intelligence. All the more reason, he supposed, to stick with Spike's gang. It would give him more time to study the fascinating machines at his command.

The bike did a sheer right turn onto a gravel trail, skidding only slightly but never losing its balance and control for a moment. It raced uphill, weaving through the trees, until finally, at Mugen's command, it swung around to a complete stop, just a few feet away from a sheer cliffside, in which was embedded a large, steel door, ten feet across by fifteen feet high and bordered in yellow and black hazard tape. Mugen grinned a little bit as he swung himself off the bike. "C'mon, Kuze. This is the place."

Kazuya
Kuze
“Ow… I think I may have whiplash...” Kazuya was not QUITE prepared for the bike to go so fast. Or so suddenly. Frankly, he wasn’t exactly prepared for riding a bike at all, a fact made obvious by the shake-y way in which he got off the bike. While holding his head in his hands, Kazuya scans the mountains, while letting Mugen lead the way. “How in god’s name did you find this place on your own, anyway?”

"Accident, mostly." He flipped up a thin, metal plate covering a keypad and placed his palm over it, vision sliding to a blue filtered imagery in which pulsating lights surging back and forth marked the tracks of circuitry and power sources. "We don't really have mountains like this where I come from, so I thought it would be fun to hike up. I got lost and it started getting really cold, but I could sense something big and full of tech nearby." He focused for a moment, deactivating the security measures and sending an order for the door to open. It took a moment or two, but the equipment responded with a creaking groan as the doors slid apart with a silent hiss. Lights hanging from the ceiling flickered on, illuminating a concrete floor and stone cut walls. "Welp, let's go poke around and see what we can find."

Kazuya
Kuze
While following after his guide, Kazuya listens closely to the story, until he notices the keypad. Specifically, the fact that his mere touch was enough to get him inside. As little as Kazuya knows about electronics, computers, and the like, he has a decent idea (or at least he THINKS he does) about how touch-keypad panels work. Those things need to be programmed to recognize a person before they allow access. While it may be possible for him to program it after the fact, given the sort of people who live in the town, for him to get his way through the first time? Doesn’t seem likely…

Of course, even if he is hiding something, Kazuya can hardly hold it against him, given how much he’s hiding from the entire group, so he merely decides to keep his suspicions to himself for the moment. As the lights turn on and he walks in, he looks around the area, before commenting out loud. “Huh, I think I saw a movie like this…”

"Oh, any movie that had a secret mountain bunker for sure." He grinned continuing along down the hall way, carrying the conversation easily enough. "I bet there have been more than a few movies on the subject." He was rather happy to be back, already mentally connecting himself to the bunker's wifi network and receiving status updates from all the maintenance systems the building's previous owners had left in place. "I don't know who built the place, whether it was corporate, government, or something else, but it seems fairly large." He stepped through an arch way into a large, hexagonal room about twenty feet across. He remembered that when he had first come here, there had been stasis pods lining the walls, and that a strange robot girl had emerged from one. The pods, the girl, and their strange, white-haired master had disappeared, never seen again.

Near the south wall of the room, there was a steel plated door that looked like it belonged in a bank vault, not a bunker. Another electronic keypad permitted access through this door, and Mugen was quick to place his hand upon the pad. "I haven't come through here yet, I'm not really sure what's on the other side." He tried to force the keypad to override the door lock, but found it running on a completely separate network, untouched by his technopathic abilities. "Huh...that's weird." Frowning, he closed his eyes and focused for a long moment. As his heart rate slowed and his breathing evened out, Mugen stretched out his control field to encompass the door and the keypad mechanism, seeking access points. Before long, his field found the microprocessors and cables responsible for controlling the lock and connecting the pad to the security mainframe that monitored it.

He quickly discerned the passcode needed to access the door, assigned it to a small bot program that would recognize his own customized callsign, and then open the door for him. "Ah, there we go...all right, let's go exploring!" The door swung outward on a pair of massive, powerful hinges, revealing itself to be almost six inches thick. Mugen let out a whistle, eyes widening with excitement. "Oh, this is gonna be fun!"

Look at his little dance
By the time the duo was inside Spike's mysterious bike was gone without a sound. While it wasn't immediately clear what had happened it was on its way back to the questionable leader of the 'gang,' Spike himself.

Kazuya
Kuze
As he follows after Mugen, he takes mental notes of the possible origins of this place, although the one that sticks out the most is the idea that this may be a former military base. Granted, Kazuya IS new to the city, and there’s obviously weirder things, but an abandoned government base in the mountains seems like the sort of thing that would be known.

Unless it’s protected somehow…

As he sees Mugen somehow open an almost comically thick door, he lets loose an uneasy chuckle, and looks to his guide. “So, uh, if we get stuck in there, I presume there’s someone else who knows where here? Besides the lovebirds, I mean. He’s got to have others working for him, right?”

Kazuya seemed to enjoy making Mugen uneasy. Frowning, he shrugged and shook his head. "Do I look like the type of person who would have a horde of friends worrying over his sudden disappearance into the great unknown?" Glasses, messy unkempt hair, bags under his eyes, and a constant lazy slouch all marked him as a nobody, or at least they always had at his old school. Making friends didn't come naturally to Mugen, in fact just having Kazuya along for this little adventure was extremely out of the ordinary for him.

"I'm not going to worry about it," He continued, leaving the door open as he walked into another hall. This one went on for about fifty feet, with two doors on the left and one on the right. As he walked past them, he noticed names painted on the steel faceplates: Barracks and showers on the left, and storage on the right. He paused in front of the one labelled storage, interest piqued, and placed a hand on the heavy lever that appeared to be the only means of opening the door. He tried the handle, and found that it wasn't locked in any way, the door swung inward with a creak and a groan of old, unmoved hinges. "If you want to turn back, the door's open. I'm going to keep exploring."
