Oh, yeah. That worked, judging by Jen's expression and swearing. Kell might not have known much about the languages the mechanic was speaking in, but the tone was what mattered. Of course, now there was an audience. Great. Just great. She thumbed her nose, trying to regain her composure for the renewed fight. "I'll give both of them up if I have to." Kell said ominously. "Come on. Don't insult me further by holding back." She wasn't trying to read Jen before, so her enemy going stanceless didn't really change anything. Of course, now there was a point of vulnerability to exploit. She only had one chance to make this tactic work, before it was sealed off forever. Best to actually succeed with it, right? Kell didn't adopt an orthodox stance. While her hands were still up in a guard position, her footwork had disappeared. In fact, her approach was more like that of a casual stroll down the street. She approached, body finally starting to relax as she walked into kicking range once again. Then she stopped midway through. "Come on. What's the matter?" She smirked, though her brow was still knitted with worry. "I'm right here." |

Damn that hurt! Knowing how pain affects the human mind, and actually experiencing it were two different matters altogether. Jen felt that it was probably a good idea to just call it off and tend to her injured foot as soon as possible, part of her wasn't about to walk away without letting the other girl experience the same pain. Afterall, as the old saying goes, "an eye for an eye". And of course, Kell's taunting didn't help matters any. "Heh, ever heard of the saying be careful what you wish for?" came Jen's snide reply, and as the other girl approached Jen would begin circling. "Because you might just get more than you bargained for!" and that being said, Jen would close the gap, as if to move from kicking range to punch distance, only to suddenly make a dive towards the floor in an attempt to slam her right shoulder into Kell's midsection! And should the attempt at a shoulder tackle succeed, Jen would at the same time wrap her arms around the other girl's legs to push forwards and up, using the momentum of her charge to get Kell's feet off the ground in a move commonly referred to as a Double Leg Takedown, lifting her to chest level before pivoting around to attempt to plant her into the mat in a bodyslam follow-up to the takedown! |

"Every day." Kell smirked. "It's starting to make me numb to consequences." If most things she did were punished, she'd just go ahead and forget about getting away without harm! When Jen slammed her shoulder into Kell's abdomen, the wrestler grunted in pain as she automatically went into a sprawl. Those deadly hands grasped her legs, but she struggled to remain grounded. If she was forced out of position. that was it. She'd be done for. With her good arm, she tried to put her opponent in a headlock. If she succeeded, she'd limp forward and jump, using her weight to drive Jen's head into the mat. She was reluctant to try it out, but Jen's dislocated toe made it so that she wouldn't be able to maintain her footing and slam her down. That said, it was a huge risk, one that definitely would not work a second time. Either she put Jen down with it, or her options would be cut down severely. With this gambit, she had to try and end the match here and now! |

A sprawl - that was an expected defense coming from someone with Kell's training as the other girl put her in a headlock. "Fine, so be it." Jen thought as Kell limped forward and jumped; another common counter-strategy in a sprawl; using the weight of one's body to drive your opponent down into the mat to frustrate their takedown attempts, which can either be followed-up by putting distance between oneself and their opponent, or to reverse and establish a dominant stance instead. Instead of resisting - which was a pointless maneuver anyways since it would be trying to pit the strength of her neck muscles and vertebrae against her opponent's body weight; not to mention that fighting to maintain her footing would be very hard on her injured foot. Jen would instead take a dive herself, clenching her jaws tight and keeping her tongue rolled back to prevent her jaws from getting smashed together upon landing - which could result in her teeth getting chipped, or lacerations to her tongue or insides of her cheeks. "My turn," Jen remarked as she grabbed Kell's left arm - or specifically one of her hands went for her opponent's left pinky finger in an attempt to perform the authentic pinky hold - except that she wasn't looking to make the other girl release her grip via pain compliance, but rather to similarly to make her digit go "pop", just like what she'd done with her toe. An eye for an eye! What Jen failed to notice however, was the ominous creaking coming from the ceiling rafters since she and Shirena began sparring - faint at first, the noise had since grown more and more audible as part of the supporting structure showed signs of structural distress. "Hey... did you hear that? Coming from the ceiling..." Misora chimed in, trying in vain to get the other two girls' attention. And then there was a loud CRACK, as one of the wooden beams broke out from the supporting structure. "N... no..." the half-zombie moaned as she reached out, catching the beam in mid-fall before it could land on the two girls. "H... heavy..." Misora grunted as she stumbled around, trying to put the beam down somewhere safe, the beam swinging to and fro with every staggering step - if any of the fighting girls were unfortunate enough to lift their heads up, they might run the risk of getting struck on the head! "Ah... go... gomenasai..." the half-zombie mumbled her apologies as she moved back far enough to finally drop the beam onto the floor with a resounding crash. Edited by Lawman, Jun 8 2014, 12:35 AM.

It worked, until it didn't. Kell was caught in between a violent grin and an expression of pure terror before she realized that the mechanic was going for her wooden arm. Yes, checkmate! Her fear dissipated as the wrestler's movements became more fluid. Instinct took over, driving her legs to try and encircle Jen's waist in preparation for the chance to apply a good chokehold. It was almost a shame that she had to hurt somebody who was so pretty, but she hadn't the skill to hold back and still have a chance of getting out with minimal injury. Of course, this boost in confidence was soon foiled by fate. As if punishment for her mild hubris had come, the wooden rafter above them snapped. She started pulling back to try and scrabble away from the hazard, only to accidentally get clonked across her face as Misora swayed with it in her hands. She let out a low groan as she picked herself off of the mat. Yeah, that was not good. One cheekbone cracked, cheek swollen and bleeding... Christ, maybe she was luckier than she thought, after all. "Shit." She mumbled, pain shooting through her face as she tried to talk. Now that their spar had been interrupted, she wasn't exactly in the mood to fight anymore. She looked to Jen, gingerly holding her bleeding wound as she did. "You alright?" Ow. Even if her jaw hadn't been damaged, talking was a full face action. Muscles that really shouldn't be moved right now were being jostled. That was not going to help her mood, not one bit. "Just my luck." She slammed the floor with one fist. "Always." |

That was certainly an unexpected turn of events... as Jen found her sparring match with Kell being cut off by a broken ceiling rafter smacking the other girl in her face - although things would've turned out a lot worse had Misora not been around to catch the beam before it landed on them, and the half-zombie's intervention had won her approving looks and cheers from the crowd of onlookers. "Now there... first things fir- OW!" Jen painfully popped her dislocated toe back into place before turning her attention to Kell. "Hey you alright there?" Jen asked as she placed an arm across the other girl's shoulders. "That looked like it really hurt; you're lucky it didn't break your jaw or something, though it still looked like it did some damage," the purple-haired mechanic continued, patting her previously opponent's shoulders. "Come on, let's get you over to the infirmary to get you some medical attention... and as for the rest of you..." Jen looked at the rest of the onlookers. "Don't just stand there gawking! The ceiling's unstable now. Get out of here ASAP and report this so they can get someone to fix it!" the purple-haired girl barked, spurring the crowd into action. To say the least it was a comfort to Misora, as the half-zombie was very much unused to being a center of attention. "Arigato... Jen-san..." the half-zombie droned, actually smiling for a change, her pallid complexion making her embarrassment rather obvious as her cheeks went from pale alabaster to a rosy pink, clearly feeling awkward from being showered with attention earlier, which for once wasn't a taunting mob. "I was getting really uncomfortable being looked at by so many pairs of eyes... so you're right... let's get Kell-San over for medical attention..." the half-zombie remarked as she joined Jen in helping her get Kell to the school infirmary. |

Kell just sighed. Damn it, she had been too wrapped up in her own fears to recognize that Jen was actually a nice person. Still, the lack of a proper resolution to the fight brought her down. Did the wooden beam spare her from the indignity of being beaten down? She had no clue. Truth be told, she didn't know if she actually could have won that. Still, even if loss was inevitable.... "You didn't use shatterpoint." She grumbled, not resisting as the mechanic and the half-zombie lifted her. "Told you not to hold back." The leg she had used to block Jen's kick early on wobbled, prompting her to bite her lip hard enough to draw blood as she forced herself to stand upright. No. She was humoring them. She didn't need help. None. She would not admit weakness here. "I didn't want to lose if you weren't going all out." She spat, red running down her chin and cheek. The humilation burning in her dulled the pain of her wounds. "Reminds me of that time I faced that Chinese girl. Damn, her kicks were hard." She winced at the memory of the fight at the bus stop. At least she could actually walk away after that one. "I need more training. My duty's not going to fulfill itself." She shook her head. "Thanks, but I'm not going to be so grateful next time." |
