Sophia didn’t even blink when Seth’s sword flew barely an inch from her head and continued to stare down the young man before her. “That’s more like the Seth I know.” The Valkyrie gave him a wry smirk as she casually brushed a lock of silver hair from her face. “Before you misunderstand, do realize I take my job very seriously. Why else would I go as far as to pose as buyer to lure out illegal merchants?” She walked straight towards the young man without a single trace of fear or hesitation. “There is nothing wrong with me Seth. I just realized that half-hearted measures simply won’t cut it anymore. Someone has to take things into their own hands, and if no one is willing to, I’ll just have to be the one who steps up to the plate.” |

...Are you serious...? People could only imagine how much of her words were testing his mettle, his eyes narrowed and his fists clenched, teeth gritted behind thinned lips. No thanks to his short temper it was actually quite hard for him to hold himself back from lashing out at her retorts. Which is why, "Hey hey, chill it why don't you," The frown suddenly turned to a smirk, the expression on his face lightened as this so called 'other self' of him took over. Though it's not like either Seth or the Metavirus was hiding it anyway. "We both know you can't handle the sassy type, so leave this one to me~" ...What is he talking about, stop talking nons- Before Seth could really say anything about it though, the Metavirus had already taken over. "Oh, I think we both know just how important it is to never do anything half-heartedly~" This other presence sharing the young man's body replied in kind, perhaps a little bit more playful than he should be. "Don't you worry, that's definitely not the problem here missy. I love that fiery conviction. Keep at it~!" ...What, really? If that's not the problem then... what is? "I'm not quite fond of that 'hero of justice' thing though," He said with a point of his finger, though still keeping the smirk on his face. "Neither does Seth," |

“Now see, that’s where you are misunderstanding.” Sophia matched Seth’s smirk with an equally confident one of her own. “I’ve never viewed myself as some silly ‘hero of justice’ that’s trying to save the world, foolishness like that is for children who have no idea what they’re getting into.” She gave a hollow laugh and shook her head. “The old me was like that I suppose, but now I see. There’s nothing glamorous about what I do, but it needs to be done nonetheless. I admit I do get a certain sense of satisfaction at times though, especially when carnage is involved.” The Valkyrie took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a moment, when she opened them again they seemed to glow brighter in the darkness. “Before we go on, allow me to ask you a question. To whom do I owe the pleasure of speaking to right now?” By now she was barely a few inches away from Seth, and she looked up into the young man’s eyes. “You’re clearly not Seth Ryouga, and like I said earlier, you and I seem to have something in common, so it’d be rude of me to not ask your name.” |

...Whoever this person is now, she actually managed to get him to stop talking for a moment. ...Just a small moment, before he then broke into a cackle. "Kehahaha! You're not very bright are you? Get with the program already!" The laughter then stopped, leaving behind only a smile. Not the kind of amused smile as it had been before, but one of... quite the malice and condescension. "You heard what he said didn't you. 'Quit fooling around'," He said as he himself started taking steps towards her, each of his steps were heavy with purpose and actual force. "We're not here to have a chat with some crazy woman or whatever you are who thinks the call of duty justifies carnage and violence. We're both honestly insulted to be deemed similar to you," At this point even the Metavirus thinks it's alright to let Seth into the conversation. "Doing what must be done my ass, everyone can go around trimming the 'baddies' like they're weeds. But who cares about them, yeah? They're just terrible people and terrible people should just disappear~" ...Just in case she still hasn't figured it out... "I called Sophia Antistita out here to find out what is wrong with her. Violence and force is a method, but it is never the goal," For someone who is often always so impulsive at resorting to violence, it should be really surprising to see him speaking against it... But then again, behind each and everyone one of his punches there is always the innate hope for the one on the receiving end to learn or reform, to take the second chance for a better life. But her...? "...Admittedly I didn't really care about those people you beat up when I first called you here," He said as he scratched his cheek. "I just thought it'd be really mean to Izumi if he found out his favorite person ever had been going around beating up a bunch of people for the sake of pragmatic justice. ...You do know he really hates violence, don't you?" ...What? Really, that's... all, that's the only reason...? |

“F…favourite… person…?” The revelation caught Sophia off guard, and she found herself stuttering a bit as a small blush crept onto her cheeks. It wasn’t exactly a secret that Izumi liked her, but she always thought that there were others who were more important to him, like another girl or his family perhaps. And if that was the case… she was essentially betraying him… Maybe it wasn’t that extreme, but how would he feel? Being mean to him would be an understatement. “N…no… that’s not what I w…want…” The girl turned away to hide a look of shame. It took a moment but she seemed to regain her composure. “Then do we just accept the fact that some people are just scum and do nothing about it? I’m not so naïve as to think we can save the world, but are we to just turn a blind eye to the ones we can stop?” |

"IF YOU CAN'T SAVE THE WORLD THEN SAVE THOSE WHO YOU CAN REACH!!" Oh- dear god, he just yelled out so loudly while being so close, was that really necessary? "Anyone can see a scum and attempt to get rid of it, but it takes a true man to have trust, faith and hope for the good inside them!" His voice seemed to have gained a new sense of intensity and strength, any sense of negativity in it from before had completely disappeared. In fact, she might find some odd similarities between his stance and a certain Yuzuki Saito. ...Of course, she is probably nowhere near as forceful as he is, and he's certainly not as gentle either. "...Look. I worked as a detective," He said, actually sounding normal for once. "People are more than just 'good' or 'bad'. They too have feelings, reasons, history and dreams. If I were to follow your mindset..." He then raised his hand, and pointed at the sword still impaled on the street behind her. "That thing would've gone right through you instead," |

“You know when you say stuff like that you sound quite heroic right?” Sophia chuckled slightly, it wasn’t meant as an insult or a retort, far from it. It was kind of unexpected to hear him say a cheesy line like that though, and it brought a smile to her face as she turned around to face the young man once more. “But it’s the best we can do I suppose, thank you. I think I have a better impression of you now.” The smile fell off her face and she seemed to waver as if debating something with herself. “T…there’s something you should k…know.” The girl began nervously, trying to pick out the words. “You probably figured out that there’s… something, or someone, within me. Unlike you however… I’m not in control of it sometimes and there are times when I don’t realize what I’m doing until after the fact.” Why was she telling him this? She actively avoided telling anyone about it before, even Izumi and her adoptive mother Yuzuki, so why Seth all of a sudden? “I know it’s not an excuse, but… I… I need help...” |

Quite the contrary in fact, he doesn't at all think it's an excuse. Now that she's actually admitted it herself, "This would've went far smoother had you admitted it firsthand in the first place," He said with a tone of scorn, crossing his arms and sighing. Well, he did call her out at this time of the night for this, didn't he? In any case, the young man raised his hand somewhat abruptly, and with a familiarly blinding flash of white light, the katana that was lodged in the street behind her disappeared only to rematerialize itself in his hand. Which may be a cause of alarm considering... well, it's a sword, and it's kinda really close. "Think you could call that person out?" His grip on the sword was unnervingly firm... |

“E…Eh? You want me to call it out?” Seth’s request threw Sophia on edge, did he even know what he was asking? “It’s not like I can’t… There’s only one way I know of, but it’s dangerous.” She drew the rune of the Valkyrie in the air, leaving a glowing red letter. “The spell gives… it… full control of my body and part of my mind. It’s time limited though, and it automatically cancels out after thirty minutes. But I can’t guarantee what will happen during that time… Are you sure you want me to?” The girl looked into Seth’s eyes with a hesitant but hopeful gleam, putting all her faith into him. |

"Incredible you could actually keep track of the time," He said as an offhanded jab, though no more than that as he then continued lazily, "I'd like to speak with that person, ...thing, face to face. There's no better form of communication than that to convey a message," ...Not sure what kind of message he wanted to 'convey', but he looked impatient enough. "Just do it already," He said hastily, waving the blade in his hand slightly at his side. |

“Alright, if you say so…” The girl was clearly uneasy. She had a bad feeling about it, but at the same time she was feeling excited. Doing her best to calm herself and placing her trust in Seth, she closed her eyes and began chanting. “O’ Valkyries, virum mirarer Ragnarok, audi placitum meum…” Her body began to glow with a red aura, and she furled her eyebrows as a sharp pain pierced her head. She ignored it though, even if it alarmed her a bit, and continued the incantation. “Tuam humilis servus, Sophia Antistita, offert eam corpori sicut tuum avatar.” The aura intensified, so much so that the girl was lifted off her feet and into the air a few feet above the ground. At the same time, luminous white wings burst from her back and spread wide open. “Hitta sjá fold, eða vega minn andskoti!” A look of pain showed on Sophia’s face as the silver of that single lock of hair spread to cover the rest. She could feel it now, the presence was taking over. It was just like before, but at the same time it was different. “Valkyrie Vaka!” The wings wrapped themselves around Sophia’s body like a protective cocoon. A moment later they opened with an explosion of magical energy that could easily knock a man back. The aura died down a moment later, and when Sophia returned to the ground… …It was not as herself. Seth had seen Sophia in her full Valkyrie form during their time to Olympus, but this was nothing like it. “I honestly did not think it would be that easy.” The woman laughed harshly then cast her eyes on Seth with a cold smile. “I suppose I have you to thank for that boy.” |

"It is too easy," STAB He gave no chance for a reply, no chance for retaliation, not even the chance for her to finish her first sentence. He was already within range, the blast earlier did nothing to phase or even knock him back, he had the sword ready and primed, positioned perfectly to take a thrust the moment the chance presented himself. To any other ordinary folks, this would seem like an incredibly crazy, unwarranted and stupid move. The regular folks also don't quite know the special property of Roukanken, the ghastly White-Tower Sword of the seven hundred years old half-phantom Kotoka Youma. Due to the fact that it is quite literally forged from the soul of its own wielder, it has the innate property of being capable of cutting through anything spiritual just as well as any meat, flesh and bone, which is a trait also shared by its little sister, Roukanken the Watchtower Sword (albeit the latter being exponentially more devastating). It would definitely harm the Valkyrie's body, no doubt about that, it is a sword after all. But it would do way more than just that, capable of harming the very concept of existence of the Valkyrie herself. Another second property that's unique to this one of the sisters of sword, is its capability of tearing through illusions, lies, trickery and delusion. This would work in that, while he would be able to cut through the essence of the Valkyrie, he would barely miss the essence of Sophia Antistita who would be presumably trapped inside, tearing apart the illusion that are presumably binding her for this thirty minutes duration. His plan is pretty simple really in a nutshell. Break free the restraints on Sophia Antistita and make her subdue the Valkyrie herself. He's even helping here with the first property of the sword too. ...Now how in the HELL does he even know what and how to do this? He kind of had first-hand experience with it back when the first, real owner of the sister swords literally tried to kill him... |

The only reaction that the Valkyrie showed to getting stabbed square in the chest was a mild look of surprise, which faded a second later as she burst out laughing. “Goodness, is this how you treat someone you just met? And you do realize this is still Sophia’s body right? The poor girl… getting stabbed by someone she trusted, how will she feel?” The laugh dulled slightly as the sword’s effects started taking place. “Though this is quite the interesting toy you have here boy, and quite the clever plan you have, I can see why Sophia admires you. But…” She reached out and grabbed Seth’s sword hand in a vice like grip, at this distance it’d be nigh impossible to avoid it without letting go of his sword. “Such a shame, it might have worked if you stabbed Sophia before she summoned me. Now it’s too late, there’s too much of my ‘essence’ for your toy to handle. You’re not dealing with some minor spirit or weakling demon here, mortal. I am Sanngriðr, Valkyrie of carnage and slaughter, and a goddess in my own right!” With her free hand Sanngriðr raised her jagged scythe, poised to strike. “I feel bad for Sophia, but you don’t have any intention of backing down, do you? Then you leave me no choice!” The Valkyrie swung down at Seth’s head with a lightning fast slash that held enough force behind it to smash solid rock. |

Ah... ...This could be bad. She actually took her time to gloat from the lack of impact his attack did, which fortunately gave him enough time to leap back in alarm at the slightest movement of retaliation, leaving his sword behind as he made as much distance as he could from the Valkyrie, the blade of the jagged scythe missing him and struck the ground with a literal ground-breaking might! "...Right, I take that back, this isn't going to be easy after all..." The young man added with a now apparent hint of worry in his voice, raising his hand and resummoned the sword from the Valkyrie back into his hand with a flash of light. While he doesn't actually show it, it's true that he does have concern about hurting the girl too much. Though from the looks of it it doesn't seem like it even phased the Valkyrie at all. Since when has a little bit of miscalculation ever stopped him though? "I already said it before, I don't half-ass things," He retorted with a growl, clutching the hilt of the blade tightly in his hand and raised it in front of him. One step forth, two, three- BOOM!!! An explosive kick off the ground as he leaped forward towards the Valkyrie, leaving behind a small crater from the force of his jump, the White-Tower Sword primed for another attempt to pierce through her heart! It didn't work the first time and he had to withdraw in a pickle, but if he could just keep up the assault...! |

Sanngriðr didn’t miss a beat as Seth dodged her attack, but the way the sword impaled in her disappeared only to reappear in her opponent’s seemed to give her pause, if only for a second. Blood poured from the open stab in her chest, but she didn’t give it any thought as she used one of the holes in the flat of her scythe’s blade to catch and parry his counter attack, sending sparks flying as the two mystical weapons clashed. “Your skill with the sword is impressive, I’ll give you that, but you’re still outmatched!” The Valkyrie swung her weapon outwards, brushing Seth’s sword aside and even disarming the young man as her free hand shot forward, aiming to grab the young man’s collar. She wasn’t done though, and aimed the butt of her scythe pole to slam into Seth’s gut. --------------------Turning time back a bit…-------------------- A girl with her purple hair tied in twin pig-tails and dressed in a night dress was walking back from her night out when all of sudden she froze. A cold sweat broke out over her brow as she looked towards the direction where Sophia and Seth were fighting some distance away. “No… it can’t be… it’s too soon…!” Regardless of what she hoped was going on, the girl broke into a run towards the fight, arriving at the scene but keeping out of sight of the two combatants. What she saw confirmed her worst fears, and she clenched her fists until the white of her knuckle showed. “Why is this happening now…? The possession wasn’t supposed to reach this stage for years!” She pondered something for a bit, watching Sanngriðr’s scythe slam into the ground and Seth prepare his counter attack, and cursed as she took a pendant with a small stone out of her bag. Without further delay she charged out of hiding and straight at Seth. “Get out of the way!” The girl barrelled into Seth, knocking the young man out of the way of Sanngriðr’s strike, and turned towards the Valkyrie with the pendant outstretched in her hand. “Domini caelorum obsecro! Dimitte tenaci tua!” A flash of light radiated from the stone and engulfed Sanngriðr, stopping the Valkyrie dead in her tracks and lifted her off the ground. The light died a moment later, dropping an unconscious Sophia back on the ground. She had regained her former appearance, though now her hair was completely silver and the stab wound from Seth was still there and bleeding profusely. The purple haired girl rushed to Sophia’s side, tearing off strips of her dress and using them to bind the wound. Once she was done she turned and glared at Seth, as if blaming him for what happened. “You there! What happened to Sophia!?” |
