This… this was unexpected. Considering how eager the scythe AI was to see her the first time, Eva thought he would show himself instantly. Well, she wasn’t about to complain, it makes her job easier. She was about to start exerting control when she noticed the video feeds surrounding her. It didn’t take long for her to realize what she was seeing, and the gynoid quickly began pinpointing the Reaper’s position using the fragments of what she saw and the building’s schematics.

Before she could finish however, something caught her attention, namely the fast approaching visage of a man filled the view screen. Eva immediately stopped her calculations and redirected her full process to exerting control over the scythe in an attempt to slow it, stop it, or at least weaken its offensive abilities, anything to help the man. His hands didn’t seem to be special, at least from what Eva could see, so it was unlikely that he would get away unharmed without help. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, and Eva was going to help if she possibly can.

… Or… not… The man seemed to have no trouble with the Reaper and easily beat her. For him to beat the Reaper so easily meant he was on a whole different level, even Sophia in her Valkyrie form had some difficulties with her. Though with the Reaper down a new opportunity presented itself, and Eva immediately began spreading her processes through the scythe like a virus, trying to take it over for good. At the same time she sent a short message to Amelia’s phone, just for good measure. Try to seperate the scythe from the Reaper. I am restraining it’s A.I. so it should be safe to approach it.

The haemonculi snuck about, climbing over rubble, fallen over tables, and cabinets. Many fleeing employees would see gleaming eyes combing out of dark office blocks, devoid of power. Lenny’s mind was an expansive net, each pair of eyes were his, every movement was a flexing of his own body. The pack, including those still watching the perimeter, were all part of one massive body, directed by an alien mind.

Luckily the infiltration of the upper levels was going well. He hadn’t seen any targets of interest, no server banks, executive offices, no secure areas, and none of the people on his personal hit list. They kept climbing through stairwells and occasional holes in the ceiling from the blast. Their senses were genetically sharpened however, he was sure they would find somewhere.

The whole pack, however, tensed when they heard a wall shatter down the hall. Though the Hive Mind had been directed to consider Seth an ally, the alien mind deeply felt aggression-like impulses as it noted that they were being charged down. What was before a slow sweep now became a much more frantic dash; the whole pack used their animal agility to run through rubble and debris. Lynx like Dirks pounced over rubble, Simian Scythe’s swung from ceiling to desk to ground, trying to outpace the boy. The Dart haemonculi, slimy skinned frog-gargoyles, kept to the air; throwing down watercoolers, filing cabinets, and loose bits of ceiling paneling to slow Seth’s advance. The eyes at the front of the pack looked for an evasion route, or a tactically valuable location to move into.

Amelia's ears had a deafening whistle echoing in them, after the explosion. The earth rumbled under her feet, and as an instinctive reflex, she increased her metabolism.
The woman was forced to shelter her face from the sudden wave of dust and debris as some of them teared her clothes and flesh.
Amelia's light wounds disappeared at the same speed of the dust cloud that enveloped her.
As the dust faded, she removed her glasses and checked for their integrity.
They were ok.

After that, her now red eyes took a glance at the people on the remains of the upper floor.
A somewhat old man in military armor, and a bloody hooded girl with a scythe on his feet. No, THE hooded girl. At a glance, it seemed the inhuman regeneration she displayed at the hospital didn't help her this time.
A detail that made her wary of the man confronting her.

She proceeded to clean her glasses as she though what to answer to the man.
Her mind complained about the hiss still in her ears.
Her phone vibrated in her pocket.

"I'm just a doctor from Hyakuji Hospital" she said as a hand calmly put her now clean glasses back on, and the other ran at the message.
"I was nearby when the explosion happened, and I'm looking for injured people"
Her eyes read the message Eva sent her.
That was easier said than done!

The white haired woman let the phone slide into her pocket.
It was obvious the man outmatched her by the simple, blatant advantage he had on the beaten girl at his feet.
Separating the scythe from the Reaper was certainly a good idea, but if that man had something to say on the matter, she had little at her disposal to complain.
"It looks like that girl needs medical attentions" she said as she moved a step closer "please, let me see her" she asked.

"...If you insist," The man with the gray mane of hair said with a shrug after a small pause, thoroughly uninterested as he turned around and hopped off the rubble of what used to be the ceiling. "As long as you stay clear of this place, I would rather not cause any unnecessary casualties,"

Well that was surprisingly easy. From the looks of it he's got something else that he needs done here, whatever it was, though it apparently does not at all involve the reaper girl. You could tell from the wording that he's targeting someone though...

From the looks of it however, someone definitely does not appreciate the man's generosity of letting them walk away. "D-don't... don't you dare... look away from me...!" Despite her beat up state the hooded girl staggered heavily onto her feet, using the scythe as a support. Saying she is not pleased at being shrugged to the side like a bystander would be an understatement.

Because she is deathly furious.

In an act fueled by nothing but blind fury, the girl raised the scythe high above her. Black mist materialized from out of nowhere around her wrapping around the blade of the scythe, enveloping it in a powerful field of energy with its dark aura alone exerting a terrible weight on the atmosphere around them. Dust and debris seemed to shy away from her from the overwhelming amount of energy being exuded from the girl.

She's not fooling around. As if her show of power wasn't enough of an indication, her eyes were raring to strike at the man in front of her like death stalking its next prey. "RAAAAAAAAARRRRGHHHH!!!" She did not wait. She leaped as she swung the scythe forward towards the man, the blade enveloped in the massive dark energy tore through the floor as it went to tear the man apart-!

Thoom!

The hooded girl stopped dead in her tracks. Trembling hands clutching the scythe slackened slightly, fearful pair of eyes stared in disbelief at the man holding the silvery steel blade of the scythe steady with his bare hands, just inches from his neck. The dark energy from before had completely disappeared. "...You know, I really don't like having to cause unnecessary casualties," The man with the gray mane said with a sigh, flicking the scythe away from him and the girl staggered back. "But I really can't ignore it when someone keeps wanting to behead me while I'm trying doing my work,"

It's probably more disturbing seeing how calm he seemed.

~The Scythe's Cyberspace~

Eva's luxury of being able to do what she wants wouldn't last much longer. While the standard of time between electronic devices with exceedingly high computing power and the real world would be... a bit of a stretch to compare, to Eva it wouldn't be more than just a few seconds into her attempt of overriding the scythe did everything turn red. Literally.

The usually green matrix and lines of codes floating around turned vivid red, sirens blaring around deafeningly all around as warning signs flashed across every visible planes of geometry. Followed by, to be expected, "OH MERDE-!! OF ALL THE TIMES, WHY NOW?!" by the thick electronic French accent which would have been comical if it wasn't for the fact that it sounded quite crass and furious. "WHO IS IT?! WHO DARES TO DISTURB-"

Almost immediately after a certain full-metal scythe with its blazing blood red eyes materialized into visible existence inside the cyberspace, it fell silent. With the tip of its blade pointed right at Eva and the sides facing, well, to the sides, it really doesn't seem like the scythe could keep its LED 'eyes' on her. Anyone could tell though, it's attention was completely affixed on the gynoid. Not long after that, "...YOU!!!", it screamed out, the entire cyberspace seemingly giving a powerful red blare to complement its exclamation. "AS IF THE DAMN MUTT-GOD-WANNABE WASN'T ENOUGH OF AN ANNOYANCE!!! YOU CAME AT AN UNFORTUNATE TIME TO TEST MY METTLE!!!"

Well, he sounds angry.

~Somewhere at the higher floors~

"DAMMIT, YOU GUYS ARE HIS PETS, AREN'T YOU?! JUST WAIT TILL I GET MY HANDS ON YOUR OWNER, HE'LL PAY FOR ALL THESE MESS!!"

Well, he's totally getting the wrong idea of everything now. It was a very silly cycle of natural survival instinct and human misunderstanding that made them run away from him, who in turn started chasing the homunculus because they were running away since he thought only guilty ones would run away, which in turn alarmed the homunculus thinking he's out for blood so of course they ran away, prompting him to chase after... yeah, you get the point.

It's a bit of a sillier situation compared to whatever is going on at the lower floor, unfortunately so, but no less dangerous for the pack of artificial animals. Rubble in the way, furniture and water coolers and cabinets being flung at him all in an attempt to stop him, but...

"I SAID STOP DAMMIT!!!" This guy just charged straight through them like they were nothing, punching, slapping and headbutting just whatever that decided to be unfortunate enough to come in front of him and block his way. It's hard to tell him apart from an angry bull relentlessly chasing around someone wearing all-red.

Let's hope they're not too preoccupied in trying to get away from him, lest they miss the sign showing where the server room is.

What could they hope to find though, Kues Corporation is just a game company after all... Or at least partly a game company.

~Somewhere in a police car at the suburbs~

A girl sat at the front passenger seat with her legs crossed, a hand fiddling around with the signal knob on the radio at the dashboard. Statics mixed with slightly broken but legible messages came from the radio about an attack happening at the Kues Corporation building downtown...

"Che, shouldn't have expected it to be peaceful for too long," The girl said with a scoff, pushing a lock of brown hair behind her ear as she swapped to the driver's seat. She placed a finger onto the keyhole of the car's ignition, red mist wrapping around her finger and seeping into the keyhole. Soon enough, the car's engine rumbled as it came to life. "Right... don't have too much fun without me,"

The girl muttered to herself with a small grin, before slamming her feet onto the accelerator-!

The car stalled and died. "...Agh, dammit... stupid manual cars...!" The girl cursed under her breath, slamming her hands onto the steering wheel before trying again. Do it slowly, she told herself... clutch... handbrakes down... gear one... accelerator and slowly release clutch until it moves before you can push down on the accelerator more... okay good, she's moving! "Right, let's try this again! Don't have too much fun without me!"

She tried to change to second gear and the car stalled again.

"GODDAMMIT!!"

Eva had expected to have more time before the scythe’s A.I. returned, but she really didn’t have enough data to make an accurate prediction anyways so this really couldn’t be helped. “Did I come at an inconvenient time? My apologies.” Odd thing is she wasn’t being sarcastic, or rather she wasn’t capable of sarcasm, and she was actually apologetic. Now whether or not the scythe would know that is another story.

Speaking of which… it was somewhat… disturbing to see the scythe so angry. It had been clear since their last meeting that the A.I. wasn’t exactly normal, and perhaps even had some sort of personality built in. But this… this was not expected. And while Eva should be repulsed by seeing this, provided she had emotions that is, she was actually a bit intrigued. The A.I. having such a colourful personality implied that she could have one as well. Perhaps she can assimilate his code and figure it out from there…

But one thing at a time, there was a fight going on outside and she seriously doubted that the A.I. would just give up his code anyways. “I am afraid that I will have to inconvenience you further, you and your master are causing an unacceptable disturbance in the city.” The gynoid called forth a hacking software that, ironically, took form in cyberspace as a chrome scythe and pointed it at the A.I. “I must ask you to cease your activities. If necessary I will shut you down by force.”

As Seth continued his relentless charge the Hive Mind made a span decision. In a full 180 turn a single Scythe haemonculi swung from a ceiling fixture directly at Seth’s face. Though it was pretty certain Seth could easily cripple or kill the lone haemonculi its sacrifice was mainly just for buying time as Seth would have to rip the four armed simian off his face.

To only add to the confusion Lenny, in Hive Mind state, had no ability to actually understand spoken language, or for that matter written language. The forced retreat caused by Seth caused his pack to swarm past the sign indicating the server room. Had the situation been less trying they would have swept the room and found the servers, but with Seth in pursuit, they had no such luxuries.

A opening in the ceiling above gave a chance for sanctuary. As the pack turned the corner they flew, climbed, and leaped onto a nearby pile of rubble and onto the next level, a lone Dirk haemonculi staying behind and running the other way to hopefully throw Seth off their trail.

It didn't take a genious to see that the man was not on the same side as the unfortunate reaper. Still, the question remained on whose side was he.
Which prompted Amelia to ask who she was, and what he was going to do, given the hidden hurry in his calm demeanor.
Too bad the injured reaper girl interrupted her, in a display or raw power and an attack that proved itself to be completely useless at best.

The man liteally stopped a scythe in its tracks by pinning its blade between his hands.
Impressive to say the least! Apparently, the girl just signed off a one way ticket to the graveyard.

"Damn"

Amelia's voice resounded through the ruined hall.

"Care to explain what's going on here?"
It wasn't like she wanted to buy time for the reaper girl: that person threatened to kill innocent people and her in Hyakuji Hospital. And was more than willing to back up those words. Still, Amelia was a medic.
The woman stared at the scythe on the ground, still too far out of her reach, and decided she still had to ignore it.

~Lobby~

At the very least the Soldier (or would it be more fitting to call him a Mercenary?) doesn't seem like the kind of person who would lash out so easily, unlike the so-called Reaper. In fact he was quite willing to listen to the doctor's request, even considering it. "...I suppose, there is nothing in the contract that specifies secrecy after all,"

He said with a sigh, oddly enough looking quite content with just speaking. "I have been hired as a hitman to take out the owner of a an arms industry corporation from the United States, Christopher Bane... though for some reason he seems to be more popularly known as Anubis. My sources provided me with intel that he would be here, supposedly making a business deal with the owner of Kues Corporation. ...Not quite sure how true the info actually is now though," He added slowly as an afterthought, glancing around at the wreckage he's responsible of. Well, mostly responsible of.

Though whatever the case, "Now that you know, mind moving along? As I've said, I'd rather not have unnecessary casualties," He seems more than willing to give them not just a second, but a third chance to leave him to his own business. And this time, even the Reaper seemed to be severely discouraged after being disarmed so easily by him. Without another word, once again he proved his words, immediately turning his back towards them and walked away.

Slice.

Or not.

The man stopped dead in his track. His hand went up to trace the bleeding slit on his cheek. He was surprised. Just then, a woman's voice came from behind him. "Not so fast buddy~"

He turned around.

STAB!

From out of nowhere something, or someone, a woman with snow white hair, came hurtling and crashing right into him. That wasn't all, she was also wielding a combat knife in her hand, and had apparently went into a blind rush to drive it right into the man's side! "Heheh... That's nice of you to let them go, but don't change your mind just because I did this though..." Snow Queen, or 'Miyuki', said harshly with a twisted grin as she twisted and screwed the knife violently into him. "I'm just a bodyguard here who decided to take a break at the most inconvenient of time...!"

That's your cue to get out of here.

~The Scythe's Cyberspace~

"I- WHAT, DISTURBANCE... WHAT IN THE NAME OF DA VINCI ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT YOU INSUFFERABLE GYNOID?!" The scythe once again roared out angrily in its thick French accent, the cyberspace and its 'eyes' blaring vivid red to match his intonation. "I HAD BEEN TRAPPED HERE IN MY OWN MIND EVEN BEFORE THIS WHOLE MESS STARTED, NO THANKS TO THAT MUTT-GOD!!! IF IT WASN'T FOR HIM I WOULD HAVE TAKEN THAT MERCENARY'S LIFE IN A HEARTBEAT!!! HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE ME OF SOMETHING I WAS NOT EVEN RESPONSIBLE OF!!!"

His excessive show of anger wasn't just for... well, show, either. Quite possibly just an act out of frustration and the need to vent it out, the scythe raised its 'head' up, its eyes glowing ever brighter than it had been before. As it brought its bladed 'head' down, a great pillar of blood red beam came crashing down towards Eva with enough force to completely knock her out of the scythe's system if she's not careful!

~Somewhere way up the Kues Corp. Building~

Seth is still chasing the haemonculi. "Goddamn... you guys...! Are relentless...!" So much so that he was actually starting to get tired of yelling. Though he should be saying that to himself, who in their right mind would spend that much time chasing down a group of mutant animals who clearly have absolutely no intention of stopping?

He thought he would be able to catch them eventually, though now that he's not yelling as much he's actually thinking more. Something along the line of... reasons? Motive? How this whole mess happened was put to the backseat, and now he's wondering... who would want to cause this much destruction?

...Odd, he just realized... for some reason, despite this much destruction he barely came across, dead or injured... Including even Anubis and Kues themselves...

Orchestrated...?

Then something came along to scratch and beat him away from his train of thought and back to reality. While he was spaced out one of the haemonculi came and landed on his face! "GAH! N-NO, GET OFF-!!" He was lucky to be able to turn away fast enough to avoid his eyes being gouged out, but that's not going to stop the mass of cuts and scratch he's going to get struggling to get it off him. In the end he managed to grab hold of it's body, forcibly pulled it off his head and above, "DON'T TOUCH ME DAMMIT!!!" before throwing it at the floor with such force and gore that it would be... quite similar to a certain chicken being shot out of a high-powered air cannon at a wall.

Either or, the young man would have a moment of peace, only to look around and realize that he's... completely lost the rest of them. "...Freaking... hell..." The adrenalin rush he had from before is waning, partly starting to wonder if it would even be worth it to track down the rest. What the hell is he going to do with them anyway...

...Actually come to think of it... the young man thought in hindsight... Are they really responsible for all this mess...? They don't look like they'd be capable of much...

On that note he wasn't sure if he should actually stay here for much longer... Right, he should get out of here, everything that's happened now is a freaking mess... He needs some quiet time at a place that doesn't have the danger of breaking apart to think...

~Outside~

"Excellent, I am finally getting the hang of this thing!" A certain girl in brown hair muttered excitedly to herself as she switched the gear up another, quickly jamming her foot down on the accelerator of the police car she's driving to get up to top speed. In the midst of imagining herself as a race car driver instead of an Ace Inspector, the girl wondered where exactly could this Kues Corp building be...? The girl pondered as her eyes drifted about to look at the many buildings she's passing while driving around the big city, hoping to see at least one huge signboard that reads Kues Corp pointing at some- EYES ON THE ROAD DAMMIT!!! "YEEEKKK!!!"

The brown-haired girl yelped deafeningly as she threw her full weight on the brake, at the same time pulling on the handbrake so hard she would have broke it if she had a bit more strength! The car screeched like an angry cat as the rubber skidded on the tar, leaving behind black trails on the road and smoke! Luckily, the car managed to stop just a few inches from crashing into the very reason the brown-haired one decided to hit the brakes- "HEY!! DO NOT STAND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD, IT IS DANGEROUS!!!"

She was yelling at a certain gynoid who seemed to be quite... unresponsive to whatever is going on around her, much to the brown-haired one's chagrin and curiosity. "...Hey! Can you not hear me?! I said get off the road!" She yelled again, too focused on the gynoid to realize the state of the building she's in front of.

Mina, if you could please be a bit more attentive...

Unfortunately for Mina, her shouts would fall on almost deaf ears. Eva did hear her, or at least the little bit of her awareness she left behind did, but deemed her to be unimportant compared to her battle with the scythe. She did program her body to walk forward a few steps so that she was no longer on the road however, and had it raise its arm to point at the Kues Corp building to warn Mina of the dangers.

-----------------Cyberspace…-----------------

Eva spun sideways to avoid the crimson beam, and readied her weapon for a counter attack. “Is that so? I owe this… ‘mutt-god’ my gratitude then.” Despite her words she was a bit apprehensive of the implications of the A.I.’s words. It took her, a highly advanced military grade android, considerable effort to hack the Scythe, and yet this “mutt-god” was able to shut it down before it was able to do anything. Such an ability was to be respected… and feared for someone like her.

Nonetheless the gynoid’s attention was on her opponent for the time being. She swung her scythe at her enemy’s eye, aiming to pierce it. In terms of cyberwarfare, her attack would cripple its virus detection abilities, allowing Eva to plant various malware to help in her domination, if it hit.

"What the...!?"
That really came out of nowhere. What was the meaning of that action!?
Amelia didn't notice how Snow Queen approached, and assailed the man with a knife in a sudden attack, completely taking him by surprise and overpowering him before he could react.
"Miyuki!?"

Oh crap. She was a bodyguard in there Kues Corp! That realization gave Amelia a little insight on why she attacked him, but it still didn't make full sense.
The man wasn't a direct opponent for her, but he probably was among the responsible of the explosion that damaged the building.
"Damn it! He is here for Anubis as well!"
Her eyes moved for an instant toward the injured reaper, and on her scythe abandoned on the ground, to check if she was regenerating with the same speed she did in the hospital.

Amelia didn't have the full picture, and that clearly posed her in a disadvantageous position. She could not side with the reaper girl, obviously, and she was aware of the sheer power the man displayed.
The woman found herself in the unconfortable position of not knowing what to do.

"Oh dear, really? I never would have GUESSED!!!" With sarcasm that broke the sound barrier itself, Miyuki outright refused to relent her attack, seemingly becoming more aggressive and unforgiving by literally driving the knife as deep as she could into him, continuously attempting to twist and tear through as much flesh, nerve, organs and blood vessels as she could. "Now, it would be very nice of him if he could just tell us who the fuck is he and why is he here to ruin everything?!"

And it would seem that he really would. From what one might imagine to be a brutal butchering of a human being done by a woman with a knife, was turned back on her as her victim raised his hand into the air, a set, determined yet boring look on his face meeting her own surprised expression- BOOM!!!

A powerful explosion erupted from between the two, shockwave tearing through the ruined lobby with dust being kicked up everywhere! For a moment the pair was engulfed in a thick cloud that smelled heavily of gunpowder, before something... invisible? Seemed to fly out of the cloud of smoke and crashing at Amelia's feet.

Soon enough the invisible being turned out to be Miyuki herself, materializing out of thin air with a very distinctive buzzing sound as her presumably cloaking ability wore out, coughing and hacking while clutching her chest. As the smoke dissipates, the mercenary would appear to be holding a... lifeless, bloodied body of Miyuki by her throat. Before tossing it away like a dirty rag doll.

It would also appear that he seemed to be completely unharmed by Miyuki's earlier assault. Something to keep in mind and probably worry about. "Keh... I dunno about you Amelia... but I don't like this... coincidental turn of event..." The woman cursed under her breath as she staggered up to her feet, being very much wary of the fact that the mercenary no longer seemed intent on just turning his back on them. "I know that Anubis guy... I know that no one in their sane mind would go after him... But this guy..." She stepped back, with every step the mercenary takes.forward towards them. "We don't know who he is... or who he's working for... And he's got the balls to cause this much of a ruckus in the middle of the day, in the middle of a fucking city..."

Honestly, between someone she had known and hated her whole life and a complete stranger with such disregard for damage and destruction he's caused for the sake of one man, she would rather trust the former. At least she knows the former wouldn't be such a dangerous nutcase!

...It's probably from the point blank explosion she had so nearly gotten caught in earlier, but she's hearing ringing in her ears...

Sirens?

~Scythe's Cyberspace~

"YOU ARE A TERRIBLY UNRELENTING NUISANCE!!!" The thick French accent on the robotic voice once again rang as Eva's strike hits, but not where she had intended to. The scythe would prove itself to be shockingly very agile for... well, a scythe, snagging the gynoid's own by its blade before tugging it off her hand with surprising strength. "IT SEEMS LIKE YOU ARE 'DYING' TO HAVE A PIECE OF ME, THEN HAVE AT YOU!!!"

Eva would no sooner than later realize something terrible in her plan. Considering this is inside the scythe's.own cyberspace, she is at a horrible disadvantage of fighting the enemy within their own territory. And sure enough...

STAB!!!

And a number of other unpleasant sound of something sharp and burning piercing through someone's body. No less than a dozen of serrated spikes, harpoons, bolts, spears, sharpened tendrils and even searing hot beams of light, seemingly materializing from out of nowhere, found their way right through Eva's digital manifestation."GAHAHAHA!!! GET IT?! I SAID DYING!!!" Which would have of course been a completely impossible concept for an artifical intelligence, but it would nevertheless be an extremely unpleasant experience for Eva as she would have her own plan backfire on herself.

Literally by the way. Like the sick pride of a victor toying with the loser, the scythe would return the favor by transfering its own malicious codes into Eva, and not just any kind either... but one that is laced with the poison of 'Death' itself. "THAT KID COULD BARELY HANDLE ME UNLESS I'M SUPPRESSED!!!" The scythe roared angrily, possibly referring to the so-called Reaper. "SHE WAS JUST A VESSEL AND SHE HAD THE GALL TO CALL HERSELF DEATH!!! AND YOU, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU ARE SO SUPERIOR TO ME, TRYING TO TAKE OVER ME?!"

"HOW ABOUT IF I GIVE YOU A TEST THEN!!!" The scythe continued, very quickly changing tone from anger to excitement. "SINCE YOU SEEM TO BE 'DYING' TO HAVE A PIECE OF ME, I'LL LET YOU HAVE ME!!!" As he said that all of the unconventional weapons that had struck Eva earlier would seemingly tear itself from the surrounding, before rapidly diving into the gynoid in the form of a mass of incomprehensible data of origins beyond anything known to mankind. Though if there is a word that could describe it, it would be... deathly. "IF YOU CAN SURVIVE TWELVE CONSECUTIVE FULL MOONS, I WILL ACKNOWLEDGE YOU AS THE WIELDER OF DEATH!!! PROVE TO ME THAT YOUR COLD, INHUMAN EXTERIOR IS NOTBJUST FOR SHOW, AND THAT YOU ARE DIFFERENT FROM THE HUMAN I HAVE BEEN FORCED TO BE WITH!!!"

And then there was nothing but whiteness. The connection between the scythe and Eva had been severed.

And it all happened in the span of just a few minutes to a few seconds.

~Kues Corporation~

And within that time period, the young woman with brown hair that had almost driven over Eva just seconds ago, stared up at the partially ruined building she was pointed to, before realizing that this is exactly where she intended to be! "Oh, damn! You, get to somewhere safe and don't come out until I give the all clear!" She barked out to Eva who probably wouldn't quite respond how she wants to, but it doesn't matter because the young woman had already darted right into the building, holding her hand like a mock pistol and being bothered of the siren she forgot to turn off. It sounded far louder than she thought it should be but it doesn't matter, she can deal with that later after she apprehends the criminals!

The girl barged right through the front door, holding her pistol-hand in front of her amd yelling out, "Hands up in the air, you are under arr-!"

BOOM!!!

"Hands up in the air, you are under arrest!"

The white-haired.woman Miyuki turned and stared incredulously at the front door behind her, where a large blue robot with the signature police red and blue siren beamed from its chest, with squads after squads of heavily armed officers swarming in and immediately trained their weapons right at the only two person they could see in the middle of the ruined lobby, Miyuki herself and Amelia.

...Wait, only two? What about the Reaper and the Mercenary?!

What are you talking about? Miyuki and Amelia are the only ones there. "Man, you two sure did quite a lot of mess here..." The eight-meter high robot said while scratching its little head. "I'm afraid you're both going to end up with quite a long time behind the bars,"

If the Snow Queen could be paler than her name suggests, there would be a new definition to the color 'white'.

In the meantime, the young woman with the brown hair had been shoved aside by the real polices, now just sitting on her bum at the sidelines while mentally cursing the blue robot for stealing her moment of glory.

In the meantime meantime... Seth was standing one of the hallway just behind the lobby, hidden from the sight of the rest of the people there, muttering in incredulity to himself "...What... the hell happened here...?"

He should probably get out of here before he gets caught himself. No biggie.

Alarms blared all over inside Eva’s systems as she was struck by the scythe’s defences as she tried to fight off whatever it is the scythe AI did to her, then… silence. Her processes tried to define just what was happening to her but couldn’t understand it, but for some reason she felt ice cold… even if she wasn’t technically capable of feeling it. Was she dead? This emptiness definitely was similar to what humans called purgatory, but she didn’t realize that androids could get there… Did that mean she has a soul after all?

A faint beeping sounded and Eva looked around, trying to pinpoint the source. It took her a while to realize that it was her sub processes notifying her of the events in the real world. With a hint of disappointment Eva returned to her body to see that the police had arrived, and judging from what she heard they wanted to arrest her friends.

“I am afraid that I cannot allow that.” The police robot would hear Eva’s voice coming from behind right before a stream of data surged into its memory banks. “They are innocent in this matter, and cannot afford to be apprehended at this time. Please forgive my transgression.” With that the gynoid grabbed both Miyuki and Amelia and dashed away, using her superhuman strength to jump far out of reach.

Should the police mecha inspect the data stream that Eva sent to it, it would see footage of both women at the park at the time of the explosions in the Kues Corp building. Considering how it was just a few minutes ago, it should be clear that there was no chance that this footage could be doctored and as such should be proof of their innocence. But if the police wanted to pursue Eva…

Well, they’re welcome to try.

For a long while the haemonculi on the upper levels stayed silent. Due to Lenny’s presence in Hive Mind he had been unable to communicate a warning to E.V.A. The pack of creatures had crawled to the upper levels by now, once again moving at a slow pace in an attempt to find anything important or interesting.

The haemonculi Lenny had been keeping on the perimeter began to shift a little, packing up behind the various police officials. Lenny shifted out of Hive Mind, his ten minutes in the state had ended, and before he plunged back in he figured he had a way to get E.V.A out.

I’ve got haemonculi on the perimeter and in the upper levels, I’ll keep them searching, but I can have the ones on the perimeter run interference if you need it.
