Dear god sorry it's been so long... let's get this started back up again if there's still interest (hopefully). Also thread is closed until further notice

~Izanai Park~

It wasn't as though the fair lady hadn't been expecting their surprises, and she would have explained her unexpected relationship with Anubis herself had she not actually turned away from them to actually notice their surprise. She stood in anticipation, her foot tapping the grass impatiently waiting for the person she was dialing to pick up the phone all the while entertaining herself with the odd choice of ringing tune Kues had picked for her office phone.

Luckily she only had to wait for a short while, and someone picked up the phone. "Ahah, there you are, Kues-" The woman stopped halfway in her sentence however, as whoever it was speaking, wasn't actually whom she thought it would be. Cross, firm, straight to the point, it only took a moment before she recognized who was on the phone. It annoyed her slightly. "What? What are you doing there, give the phone to Kues. Or Anubis if he's there too,"

~Kues Corporation CEO Office~

"She volunteered for it," The man in the militaristic uniform gave a nonchalant shrug, carefully placing the unorthodox modern looking scythe on the large mahogany desk as he went back to his seat. "Unfortunately I could not exactly let him run wild on her, she is the only one who stayed behind when the other volunteers... ah, chickened out, after seeing his real nature,"

Whether that was intended as a compliment or not, the hooded girl would not take it, as she sprung up to her feet in anger before immediately letting out an outburst to Anubis. "You shit, what was that for?!" She shouted furiously, taking threatening steps and pointing threatening fingers towards the man in the military uniform. "You just wanted to make me look bad, I told you I need time! With that kind of personality how do you expect anyone to be able to tame him so quickly?!"

"He can," Anubis said simply, not at all phased by her advances and looking dead straight into her eyes. His words carried an odd weight with it, and it silenced the girl immediately. For some reason, she was glancing uncertainly at Seth, who was still standing a fair bit away from the rest of them. "Mind you, the prototype was a lot worse,"

The girl seemed to have an odd look in her eyes as she stared momentarily at Seth, before stepping back and slumping into the still available seat just vacated by the young man earlier without another word. Seemingly content with the current progression, Anubis withdrew his attention away from the hooded girl and back to the Rabenschwarz CEO, "Well, in any case, how about-"

Only to be interrupted by the ringing of the office phone. He stayed silent as Sun-Hwa picked it up, more out of common courtesy than anything. His hearing must have been very sharp however, as the moment he picked up the voice coming from the other side of the phone, he immediately reached out and pressed the loudspeaker function on it, allowing everyone in the room to be able to hear and speak to it.

"...Why, it's been a long time. How are you, Snow Queen?" The man said pleasantly with a pleasant smile, but with a very oddly misplaced venomous hiss in his voice.

~Back at the park~

The fair lady was actually surprised to silence for a moment. She gritted her teeth as she felt her blood boil silently within her just from hearing that voice of his, again. Such a long time since she had felt this much amount of loathing just from a voice, and she should probably be glad she was at the park while he was out there somewhere, physically far away from each other as possible. Else she probably wouldn't have been able to resist the primal urge of seeing torn up flesh and splattered blood.

She managed to resist it now, taking a couple of deep breaths as she also placed the phone in her hand on loudspeaker mode. "I'm not doing so good actually, to have to resort to calling you for help," The woman replied with an equally pleasant voice, but having a much more noticeably venomous hiss.

It's very clear these two don't quite have a good history with each other. "Well, what do you want?" The voice of Anubis came out loud and clear from the speaker.

And so they finally meet the great Anubis, or at least they get to talk to him. Despite this chance Eva chose to remain silent for the time being, not wanting to draw unnecessary attention to herself. It worried her somewhat that Anubis was with Kues, if they had an alliance going on it didn’t exactly bode well for them, especially considering the madness of the witch…

Meanwhile Sophia excused herself after asking Eva to relay any new info to her later, having one of the two here is more than enough. The gynoid would leave the talking to the others for now. Queen had brought up this idea, so hopefully she had something in mind. Or perhaps Amelia could come up with something considering her occupation.

A frown was visible on Amelia's face as she approached the closest bench and sat down on it.
She adjusted her glasses and leaned her head backward, staring at the sky.

"We need some explainantions. What thing you think it justifies playing with other people's lives? What's the purpose?"

That was all that came out from her mouth. A weak breeze moved her hair as she closed her eyes and glanced in the distance, to see the figure of Sophia walking away.

While Kues was amused by who the caller was, if Queen was actually in the room, Sun-hwa would have probably actually killed her if she could. Anubis and Kues finally started discussing business when Queen decided to interrupt the meeting. Sun-hwa never did like Queen's relaxed attitude to work, or life in general, and this was a perfect example of why exactly she held such contempt for Queen.

"So good of you to join our little discussion, Queen~☆ But what could Queen possibly need my help with, I wonder~ Oooh, don't tell me, you need your maid dress washed for work~?"

Well, hopefully Queen wasn't trying to keep her part time job a secret to anyone...

While Kues had her phone over the speaker, Sun-hwa placed the phone itself on the desk, and turned her attention to Anubis and the girl with the scythe instead. Unlike everyone else, Sun-hwa couldnt care less what happened in this Metro game. She did, however, care about the technology Anubis had brought with him.

Sun-hwa approached the shaken girl with the large scythe. While it was clear Sun-hwa wasn't at all concerned about her well being, unlike Kues and Anubis, she didn't mock her for it. Unlike Kues and Anubis, Sun-hwa didn't have those kind of hobbies. She was only interested in the weapon.

"If it is Queen, it can't be anything important. You, if you want to make yourself yourself, come with me."

Not even waiting for a response, Sun-hwa made her way to the door of the office. Whether the girl followed or not was down to her, but it didn't seem as if Sun-hwa was at all interested in the game Metro had going on.

Lenny realized for a moment that he had no idea on what the purpose of this call was. He assumed it was to set up a betrayal, that’s what he had done, what he had done before, what he hoped they were doing now. Because of that he remained silent, his creatures’ turned and glared at Amelia for speaking, thinking she may have foiled the ruse; but he still had no true idea fo what was going on so he stayed silent.

His two creatures stood perfectly still though, statues of flesh, carved bone, painted muscle. He entertained for a moment that one of their opponents may soon be carved, though Lenny had not openly admitted it he assumed that EVA would not oppose, flesh was flesh to Lenny and EVA possessed a similar martial diffidence. He suppose it would be fitting to shape each one into a single beast, though he thought a second later to be cautious, split the biomass into thirds to keep any powers from returning after death.

...Anubis doesn't quite have anything to comment about the maid dress revelation, even with Queen having an outright outburst through the phone at Kues. "Wh- hey, don't you dare touch that dress, god knows what you're going to do with it?!" Though not not the kind the Witch might have expected. Sun-Hwa in the meantime, decided that nothing important could happen here in the office much longer and decided to just leave, dragging the girl in the hood with her. "Give me that," She snapped at Anubis, who willingly let her take the scythe before following the Korean lady out of the room.

Leaving only Anubis, Seth and Kues in the room. Though the man himself doesn't actually seem to bother with the happenings around him, being completely absorbed in whatever is at the other side of the call instead. "...How many do you have with you?" He asked the Snow Queen, sounding mildly curious.

"How much do you want?" Her voice said rhetorically over the phone speaker. "Every one of them about your war game with those street punks by the way,"

Of course, it's not like he actually expected her to amass much, if any followers in her short stint here in Hyakuji, but he was indeed curious simply because of the context of question when the other voice on the phone inquired him about his true intent and interest. The man gave a huff, genuine amusement returning to the smile on his face. "Well madame, I would be delighted to share my interest. What is a man if he is not proud of his own work?" He said nonchalantly, not exactly sure if it would actually carry over through the phone.

He took a seat, making himself comfortable seeing as he is going to be talking quite a lot. "It's an entertainment," He said simply, interlacing his fingers together as his eyes lazed out the window. "Though don't look at me, The war game wasn't exactly my idea in the first place. They sent me a challenge, thus I accepted it. Admittedly the circumstances has changed quite a fair bit since Madame Kues decided to... bring in anomalies," A momentary glare across the table, though he doesn't seem all that resentful. "I honestly have no other way to explain it. It's merely entertainment for me,"

~At the other side of the call~

Queen herself really had nothing else to reply to his claims, it wasn't like she hadn't been expecting such an answer from him. There's something strange about simplicity in that it can make a situation both simple and more complex at the same time. In this case... "...Yeah, I wasn't expecting someone like you to have a noble goal or any ulterior motives or anything," Not sure if it was meant as a jab or simple resigned comment that doesn't really mean anything, no one could tell. "Unlike you though, we actually do have a real reason to get involved,"

She took a deep breath, sighed heavily, paused for a bit in silence, before saying "We need your help,"

It was then that a sudden, pretty loud boom could be heard from the other side of the call. The fair lady blinked in surprise at the explosion, before bringing the phone to her ear in alarm. "Hello? Hey, what was that? You weren't doing anything dumb, were you?"

This... doesn't bode well, she thought, as the only thing she could hear on the phone was the periodical ringing of the line being cut.

~Back at Kues Corp~

BOOM!!!

The building shook violently as explosions occurred throughout many parts inside the buildings. It was a pandemonium, with many of the workers flooding the lobby trying to flee the building in terror. Standing at the very middle of the lobby at the first floor however, was a single man with a long mane of gray hair, clad in green and khaki camo uniform and an armored vest. Unlike the others, he seemed to be completely at ease in the midst of the chaos, bored if not annoyed by something as he looked up at the ceiling. "Damn, what the hell is this building made of...?" He said with a grunt, snapping his finger and another powerful explosion rang dimly from above. "That was the fourth one, what the hell...?"

There it was again.

Like the first time Izaya called them out for a meeting Eva felt a strong distaste for Anubis when he referred to this as entertainment, as a game. When will they realize that war is not fun and that lives aren’t something to be toyed with? The gynoid didn’t understand that some people actually relished in carnage, so she was under the impression that it’s because they weren’t personally involved in the fighting so they were feeling disconnected from it all.

Then suddenly an explosion from the other side of the line threw that theory out the window, though Eva did wonder if it was the sound of Anubis getting what’s finally coming to him. But this did present an interesting opportunity for her…

“I am going to Kues Corp. They appear to be distracted by the explosions, so this would be an opportunity to infiltrate the site and extract information.” She didn’t know where the company actually was, but it should be easy enough to find it with her satellite thanks to the explosions. It was going to take a bit of time though, so if anyone wanted to stop her or say something now’s the time.

Lenny, at his distant location, almost jumped out of his seat as he heard the resounding boom. According to E.V.A it was at the Kues corporation building, the place where one of their targets was. Lenny had a few haemonculi in reserve, as always, and considered whether he should join. Fuck it, I’m ready to pull out someone’s throat, might as well bite at the hand of condescension

But there was also the impetus to allow E.V.A to simply gather info. To strike now may let others escape. No, he had a plan.

“I’ll observe the building’s perimeter, and try to catch any of the targets if they are there” His determined voice came from the speaker held by the haemonculi. As soon as the words settled the Hunter haemonculi and the creature on its back were off. By the time they had evaded watch and snuck through the chaos there were 12 haemonculi. Four high flying, cat sized, gargoyle like Dart haemonculi, two Utility haemonculi, four Hunter haemonculi, and the remaining were simian Scythe haemonculi. they stayed out of the area’s perimeter and watched various exit routes on nearby streets. The haemonculi’s senses of smell and sight had been genetically enhanced, their sharp eyes would watch for targets.

Events seemed to have undertaken a sudden accelleration, but the white haired woman didn't show signs of surprise or panic.

Amelia simply pushed up her glasses.
"Kids these days..."
The woman closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and drummed her fingernails twice on the metal layer of the bench she was on.

With a calm, and fluid motion of her head, Amelia let her blue eyes wander on the remaining people.

They warned her, people might be injured. She didn't expect her things to take such an accelleration, but Amelia Riva wasn't the type of person that complained. After, it probably was better to deal with that sooner than later.
"As we say, via il dente, via il dolore"*

The woman stood up and calmly looked for her cellphone. As she did that, she spoke:
"I'm somewhat new in this town, and my daily life prevents me to know every location it has. Can some of you be so kind to address me to this Kues Corporation?"
She gave them a calm and serene smile.
The cold blood, typical of her bloodline occasionally looked creepier than ever. Considered the situation at hand, her controlled demeanor could easily appear just a little bit off...

Luckily for them, the fair lady herself had the same train of thought so it didn't even take any attempt of convincing to get her to agree with their decision. "Well I for one actually work there, and as much as I don't agree with the Witch on a lot of things I'm actually obligated to make sure the building is safe. ...And Kues too, yes," She added as an afterthought, stowing the phone back into her pocket, glancing back at the three with her with a serious expression. "Just be careful, this isn't going to be fun,"

And she darted off, acting as the head to lead them to their destination!

~Kues Corporation, CEO Office~

Saying it's a terrible mess in here would be an understatement. The one good thing about this being at the top floor is at least there won't be too much things to collapse on you should whatever above you breaks apart. In this case, the room and everything inside it had been torn and thrown and burned and broken as though some kind of explosion had occurred here. Rubble and debris everywhere covering every inches of the floor, stinking heavily of charred wood and gunpowder.

Despite the destruction, there doesn't seem to be much in the way of casualties. In fact there doesn't seem to be anyone left in the room at all-

Crash!!

"...OW. THE HELL,"

...besides the young man Seth Ryouga who just punched his way out of the pile of rubble that he was buried underneath earlier, presumably from whatever that caused this whole mess in the first place. It's a good thing this guy is kind of nigh indestructible, besides his disheveled and torn up clothing he seemed quite alright, throwing and shoving the rocks and bricks and concretes away from him as he got back up to his feet with an irritated grunt. After a moment of making sure he's actually okay, he then remembered there were supposed to be two other people in this room with him. But after a quick scan around... "...The hell? Where did those two..."

He should probably be worried about what caused this whole thing when he realized Anubis and Kues aren't there with him.

~Some other part of the Kues Corp. building~

"...Are you serious...?" A certain girl with a hooded sweater muttered nervously to herself, lowering the all-chrome scythe to her side, dispelling away some kind of black-ish aura that had protected both her and Sun-Hwa, whom she had been accompanying, from an explosion that had torn apart the entire hallway they were in.

Her eyes narrowed warily at the floor, or rather the lower floor from where they are, before saying curtly to Sun-Hwa, "The business deal can wait. Get out of this place fast if you want to live," and darted off down the hallway, the tip of the blade tearing a long thin line on the floor where it's dragged on.

She also had an excited, toothy grin on her face. She recognized this magnitude of strength...

Queen’s directions certainly were very helpful in that it saved them lots of valuable time. Strangely enough there were fewer people fleeing the scene than one would expect from a massive building like the one that Kues Corp. occupied. “… I do not detect many life signs within… Did most of them escape already?” Even if that was the case there should be more people nearby, it was almost as if the building had been evacuated beforehand. Eva didn’t care though, she was here for one purpose only, and little else mattered to her.

The gynoid approached the building, intent on finding a way to the main office or perhaps the server room, but a secondary scan revealed that there was another presence, one that was familiar and very dangerous. “We have more problems, the girl with the scythe that we encountered at the hospital is here as well, she may or may not be responsible for the destruction here.”

This is not good at all, with such a dangerous opponent present infiltration will prove to be very difficult. But maybe… “Lenny. If possible I would like you infiltrate the building and recover any useful information you can find. I will draw the reaper’s attention.” A makeshift plan, but Lenny’s homunculi were probably better suited for the job anyways. Whether he consented or not Eva still felt the need restrain the Reaper girl given her actions at the hospital.

So once again Eva stepped to the back of the group and her eyes went dim as her “consciousness” dove into cyberspace and probed the reaper’s scythe. Finding herself in the same code-like environment as she saw during her hack at the hospital, the gynoid’s cyber representation looked around for the scythe’s A.I. “It would seem that our confrontation came sooner than expected.”

Affirmative Replied Lenny, his voice being transferred into a text that E.V.A would receive. His haemonculi pack was currently in hiding in various locations surrounding the building. He wasn’t too concerned for E.V.A, bladed weapons, contrary to popular belief, were pretty bad against metal armor which was E.V.A’s entire body, he was at that moment unaware of the properties of this particular scythe.

His own Scythe’s, the four armed simian haemonculi, along with Dirks, large, viper fanged cats, and a few Dart haemonculi, slimy skinned flyers, moved in. They crept in the shadows when they could, approaching the buildings and accesing it from multiple cracks, broken windows, and other such things around the building. The Darts came in from the top and the Dirks and Scythes came from the bottom, avoiding people. The goals were the corner offices and upper floor offices, the abodes of executives. In addition he was looking for any kind of server room or CEO office, his haemonculi would have difficulty accessing it, but the Scythe haemonculi had the proper digits to use computers.

Kues building showed some damage. On the highest part of the structure there were lots of broken windows.
Smoke and dust came out of the cracks in the upper structure, but the rest of the building was intact.

Standing behind the others, Amelia stopped check those damages. Fragments of shattered glass were on the ground where she stood, relatively far from the building.
Considered the place, in the center of a large city like Hyakuji was, it was a miracle there were no casualties.
There certainly were injured passerbys, but it seemed that, excluding some idiot too busy filming with their cellphone, the sane minded people already left.
Injured ones were probably already on their way to Hyakuji Hospital.

That wasn't a working day for Amelia, but should an emergency call arrive, what would she do? Assist those that needed it there or remain to help these people involved in such a mortal game?
Eva, Amelia realized, was not a human. She didn't know about the others...
As her blue eyes were fixated on the cracked windows in the upper floors, her eyes noticed other of those horrific aberrations that were in the hospital that day.

The creatures were entering the building.
The woman had a shiver running through her spine. Whoever was this Lenny working with them, was someone to be wary of.

Double checking that no people were left senseless or hurt on the outside of the structure, Amelia slowly made her way inside.

Well, one thing was clear, and that was that Kues and Anubis certainly weren't in the room with Seth any more. How and where they escaped to, only the pair of them knew. Unfortunately for Seth, it seemed he wasn't so lucky as to be provided an escape route, which would mean he was probably going to have an awful time trying to find his way off the top floor, especially when the elevator probably wasn't going to be in working order. Let's just hope the stairways didn't suffer too much damage...

Meanwhile, in another part of the building, another pair didn't quite have the same vanishing skills as Kues and Anubis did. Somehow coming out of the attack unharmed, Sun-hwa and the girl accompanying her survived the attack thanks to the hooded girl's magic rather than vanishing to nowhere. If it were anyone else she was protecting, the hooded girl would have probably have received a thanks, but unfortunately it was Sun-hwa, and rather than being thankful, she was just irritated with the fact that there was yet another obstruction to her research.

"Tch, I suppose there really is no reason for me to stay here now that I am left with nothing to research."

With a resigned sigh, Sun-hwa began to make way for the nearest exit. She was a researcher, not a fighter, and following the hooded girl was unlikely to give Sun-hwa any valuable information, and would be another big waste of time.

And Eva... would stand there alone in the cyberspace and not receive any kind of response whatsoever. Which would be a bit surprising considering, if she could remember, how protective the scythe was against anyone invading his system.

Well, she would get her answer soon enough. Though not in the way she would have expected.

Across the entire horizon of the cyberspace, multiple screens of various sizes materialized into view. Not like any typical monitor screen, but more like a collage of disconnected videos being combined to make a much larger video feed that is slightly obscured by static and random lines of zeroes and ones around the environment.

It was showing... the inside of the building? Perhaps the multiple video feed was showing Eva the views from the eyes of the scythe itself. The hooded girl was there, obviously, but... there is also another person. A complete stranger, steel-gray hair, green camouflage uniform with a heavy-duty vest draped over it...

He was looking at the scythe as he approached- no, the scythe rapidly came down upon him, and he raised his hand to stop it-!

~Kues Corp Lobby~

BOOM!!!

Amelia who only just entered the lobby would be in for quite a shock. The building would shake once again, and next moment with a deafening boom, the high roof of the lobby, which is also the floor for the second... well, floor, would all of a sudden collapse and crash to the ground! Once the kicked up dust and debris cleared up, Amelia would be able to see the gaping hole on the ceiling of the lobby where a chunk of the second floor used to be, the large broken pieces of concrete scattered across the lobby after it broke apart from the ceiling, and two people.

A man with a mane of steel-gray hair in military camouflage uniform with a heavy-duty armored vest standing atop the pile of rubble, and a hooded girl lying at his feet, broken, bloodied, injured and groaning in pain. She also had her scythe, though so much good it did her.

"...Hm?"

The militaristic man only just took notice of Amelia, and was of course surprised to see her. "What are you doing here?" The man said in a gruff voice, looking down at her though clearly sounded quite uninterested, more than willing to get back to whatever it was he had been doing. "This place is dangerous, get out of here and stay clear,"

~Random Corridor of Kues Corp~

"What... the HELL happened here?!"

In the meantime, Seth was far too busy clearing out the way for him to even navigate around the building. After making sure that he really couldn't find either Anubis or Kues (dead or alive) in the CEO room, he decided to get the hell out of this place. That, or at least try to find out what caused this kind of havoc. Earthquake, not likely, this is clearly caused by someone. Of course, he would've gotten down quicker and not get stuck in the top few floors of the building for the last few minutes if it wasn't for the many pieces of rubble and broken concrete blocking his way. That and the fact that THIS PLACE IS REALLY MADE LIKE A MAZE. "Rich people are so annoying, why can't they just make a straight corridor instead?!"

SMASH!!!

How many times he had punched a slab of concrete out of his way, he couldn't remember. He was expecting to find even more slabs of concrete blocking his way, or at least find another longass corridor and a bunch of junctions to make him even more lost. He found the latter, but he also found something else he wasn't quite expecting.

A bunch of weird animals that looked like they were some kind of freak scientific accident wandering about.

His first reaction? "...HOI!!" Yell really loudly at them and start chasing after them.

He has absolutely zero idea what's going on here.
