For a brief instant, it seemed everything settled itself: the healing did nothing. Heleth was just about to release her breath when the boy fell down on his knees, pushed by a sudden retching. Out of his mouth a black umor splashed on the ground, causing the girl to instinctively retract away to avoid any droplet hitting her. It was impossible to hide the surprise mixed to disgust at a similar sight. What...just what was that black ink like thing coming out of his mouth? Now, as she moved a little on the side of Sophia after abandoning her position in the middle, Heleth could rationalize a simple thing: he really was an undead. "What was that for!?" she said incredulous to no one, her voice a bit too low for the surprise. Her comment went unanswered. Heleth's eyes could not detach themselves from the black substance coming out of the boy. That wasn't blood, was it? It was way worse, watever it was. Her ears then registered the brief exchange of word as the undead managed to stand back up, his clothes stenched in the black umor. Her dual layered eyes finally moved to Sophia "What was that for!?" she demanded, an angry tone and her sharp teeths blinking briefly in her mouth. "Answer me, Sophia! I'll be sure to report your conduct! What if you killed him?" It wasn't like Heleth really cared from the deepest part of her heart about that stranger she barely knew: they weren't even friends. But Sophia did break the school rules and killing for petty reasons was shunned even in the Netherworld. "That's not how the Vice President should behave! What happened to you!?" Her ponytail did appear a little less natural than usual, a bit more rigid maybe. Just a side effect of some magic. Her eyes, the strand of white hair...hell even her voice was no longer hers. Her behaviour wasn't the same. The demon couldn't say she was friends with the valkyrie, but she did know her enough to know she was leaning a bit too much on the psychotic holy avenger... A first string of doubts entered her brain, but it was just a distant thing compared to her heartbeat still accellerated for the sight she just witnessed. "Stop this farce and come back to your senses or I'll make sure you'll regret your actions today! I'll have you expelled from the Student Council!" |

"This one cannot die," the kyonshi stated matter of factly towards Heleth. The undead seemed to give no thoughts to the mess he had caused; the worst that could come out was for him to clean it. The look of mild disgust on Heleth's face served little to deter him either. "Leave her be, this one has no wish to pursue disciplinary action," the undead spoke, as Heleth threatened to remove Sophia from the student council. No, that would be useless and pointless. It would do nothing to clear the arrogant cloud in the girl's mind, just perhaps turn her hostility to Heleth, and in turn, more demons. As for Sophia, Shisi frowned. That was it. That was all there needed to be done. "Cheap tricks, sadist," the kyonshi declared again, his tone full of distaste. Not for Sophia as a person, but to the thing she had become. "There's no luck to try here." Shisi leaned back, relaxing his position. Sophia's statement had proven it to the undead; there was no more reason to fight here. "What did you prove? That this one is dead, yet still walks? That you are capable of injuring his body? This one's soul is not for you to save," Shisi protested to Sophia's insults. "Despite that, this one is still human. Death cannot change that," Shisi remarked weakly. Of course, the state the boy was in right now helped little with his case. But, first of all, what defined a person? What defined being human? "Humanity. This one still possesses humanity." His eyes narrowed dangerously. "Something you seemed to have lost. Or just lack." Shoving his hands into his pockets, Shisi took a step back, gauging the individual before him critically. It left a horrid taste in his mouth to allow the girl to just walk away from this; after all, they did fight together in Tokyo. But, at the moment, he saw no way in which to change Sophia's prejudice. And the girl just kept on taunting him. "You were correct. This one does not know you at all. No one does." Even Heleth seemed perplexed at Sophia's actions, and she had been around her longer than Shisi had. As the girl before him turned away, Shisi made one more stray remark. "Though you seem hesitant to strike, despite how you much claim you loathe one such as this," Shisi muttered, referring to himself. The kyonshi huffed, his long bangs swaying over his face from the motion. "That means you can still exercise self-restraint." |

“I’m not here to debate philosophy undead, whether or not you have humanity is of no interest to me.” Sophia stopped looking back when it became apparent that Shisi wasn’t going to attack. “My reasons for doing this are my own, as are my reasons for holding back. Hate me for it, curse me, or resent me all you want. I have no regrets.” The Valkyrie fell silent for a moment, and merely stood there with her back to Heleth and Shisi. She cast a wry glance back at Heleth, surprisingly showing no hostility towards the demonic girl. “Like I said, I’ve already achieved my purpose, and seeing how Shisi isn’t going to attack I have no further business here. There’s no need for threats Heleth, but if you want to punish me and have me expelled from the council by all means go ahead.” A hint of hesitation had crawled into her voice, but it quickly disappeared as she started walking away, muttering in a barely audible voice. “There is a greater purpose I must serve…” |

Curses! Did that really happen? The red demon could not believe her eyes and ears. It was barely a whisper, but she was pretty sure it was her voice the one speaking about a greater purpose. "A-are you really leaving like that!?" she demanded "Sophia!" Heleth turned her body in Sophia's direction as her hands ran on the rings tying her hair. She broke the rules! She could not walk away like that! "What's so great in injuring others for no valid reason? You just broke the school rules! What happened to you? I cannot allow you to walk away like that! You're not better than those guys that were smoking here!" With a gesture she took away all the metal rings, her hair fell loose. "I have to ask you to follow me to the principal's office!" |

"Hmph..." the undead huffed. It would seem that discourse was useless as well. Perhaps he should've struck her, if only to communicate his point. The irony of that statement made Shisi cringed inwardly. Well, he supposed young people were like that. Rash, and narrow-minded. And, ironically, the ancient tend to think that way as well, though the origin and logic behind them differed. The effects were the same. The young would learn, and the old would forget. "This one apolgizes for the... mess," Shisi spoke to Heleth before turning his back on the scene as well. With some difficulty and unease, the kyonshi also began his depart from the scene, heading back towards the building he had leaped off of. The young would learn, and the old would forget. Like Sophia, he too had things he must attend to. The first, being a shower. The second, a book that he had left upon the roof. But then, the unthinkable happened. Shisi turned, as a sudden outburst from the green-haired demon gripped his attention. Metaphorically, Heleth had drew her arms, declaring an ultimatum to the Valkyrie. The action even caught Shisi in surprise; he had not expected the girl to react so strongly. So, it would be Heleth who would try to right Sophia's path. As a relative outsider, the undead had no right to speak. But, as an interested individual, Shisi decided to observe the Valkyrie's reaction. And, if a fight were to break out, perhaps he could gain some insight into the source of Sophia's anger. Edited by Fallen_shinku, Mar 27 2014, 03:11 PM.

Sophia stopped short at Heleth’s words, and turned back to glare at the red-skinned demon. “If you want to report me, fine. But if you want me to come with you, you’ll have to make me.” She continued walking away again, not even bothering to give the demon a second glance. “I admit your hair can be troublesome, and I would be in trouble if you manage to bind me with it. But that’s only if you manage to.” A large pair of elegant white wings burst from her back and the Valkyrie took to the skies. “I told you I have no further business here, nor do I have time to fight with the likes of you. If you insist on fighting you can find me later.” Without another word she flew off into the distance and soon disappeared from sight. |

Heleth tried to put up a useless attempt at grabbing her as soon as Sophia manifested her wings. Unfortunately the distance between the two was too much for her hair to grow enough before she took flight. The head prefect could only growl in frustration as Sophia got away safely. "Grrr...Curses!" She shouted, pushing her clenched fists downward in irritation. The green mass of strands did a similar action "You'll regret leaving like that!" she screamed as her hair was already shortening. That clearly was something she had to take care of. A similar behaviour from a member of the student council...the Vice President herself! Heleth shivered visibly. She knew it she was the one that had to become Vice President, not Sophia! She knew it from the very beginning! That thought struck her. That was a sudden chance to aim for that spot! That was something Heleth should normally greet with an obsessive laugh about an easy gain of power. Yet, the girl wasn't laughing. Something was out of place and the pieces of the puzzle delivered to her were not fitting together. Just a side effect of some magic. "Curses!" this time she cursed herself. Winning like that just wasn't the same. The jade strands shortened themselves behind her back, loose and free. In her hands, the metal rings of her previous hairstyle. Heleth closed her eyes and sighed. "Wait" The demon spoke while turning to Shisi. "On behalf of the Student Council, I apologize for the injuries you received. I'll try to make sure something like this won't happen again" Heleth bowed her head. "I never used my regenerative powers on someone like you, but allow me to try and see if I can help to mend your body as a compensation from the Student Council" That was the least she could do. Not out of pity or good will, obviously! For Heleth that was only part of her job. |
