It was safe to say Chui was a little more than interested to see if the challenge would go through; dare he say anxious? He felt that way, goose bumps trembled slowly upon the surface of his skin in anticipation for Spike's arrival. Spike, someone he'd heard a little bit about, a raw street-fighter type of combatant who gets the job done. That was someone who could be of great use to Tasuke; if not as a soldier of sorts, then most likely as a training partner. Well, it was a little safe to say he was assuming things to go his way a little before their time, but hopefully the fellow student his requested put the note on Spikes dorm issuing the challenge didn't screw up such a simple task. He'd been lacking in his latest duty assigned by the Council, but within good reason in his eyes. There were personal tasks taking priority at the moment, this being one of them. Hopefully his mischievous test planned out the way he wanted; this guy was known for wrecking a few combatants within the field of battle, so not only would it give him a test of his own personal strength, but prep him for Leadership, if you will.. And so he waited. "Well.. this should be nothing less of a show from what I've heard of this fellow.." Tasuke said, standing within the center of the dojo as he straightened his Gi for more comfort. Tasuke had battled opponents all around the World in the Martial Arts Universe with respect behind their name, what made this student stand out so much to him? He was just an average student with the possible super natural trait when it came down to it, wasn't he? Questions soon to be answered. |

A challenge letter had been under the door of his dorm room. There was no way he not get fired up after seeing something like that. He crushed the letter in his hand and tossed his uniform jacket on his bed, leaving only the T Shirt he had been wearing underneath it. It was time to go fight someone who was after him. It had been so long since he'd had a normal brawl that the thought alone got his blood boiling. He dismissed those guys who were with him. This was a private matter no matter how you looked at it. Mere minutes later he arrived at the Dojo. It was a place he had helped build with his own hands, even if he hadn't been the sort to stick around in that Martial Arts club. since it was like that he was glad to face someone here. Spike slipped off his shoes as he walked in. "I take it you're the guy who left this?" He held up the letter in his hand. Some people might think he was someone who didn't know the meaning of respect. After all, even coming to face someone he held himself casually and wore his hair spiked up, full of gel. That wasn't true though. Spike was more dedicated than he would ever admit. He stood in the doorway, awaiting Chui's confirmation. |

And alas, his grand guest of the evening had shown face before him. He was almost beginning to think that the young spirited warrior he had heard about turned to be myth but it would appear fallacy did not befall this story just yet. He seemed to dress just as his description would suit him; the frosted hair was a little much for someone of reputation such as this man.. to each their own. He shook his head a moment of the thoughts that were opposing the moment he'd awaited since his findings.. well, more or less chance-run in's with some information. He chuckled a little at the question his soon to be sparring partner asked, as it seemed to display character of Spike already. He was either oblivious, or rather fond of appearing omnipotent; you know the kind, pretty much just like Tasuke. He was hoping it was the second option. Who else would have left the note on his door? He was the only one to be present when Spike arrived at the time given, so.. ![]() The sarcasm thrown within his pronunciation of Spike wasn't really as heinous as it came out, but simply couldn't go about without retorting at least secretly to Spikes lack of attentive detail. Well, maybe as always, he was being too judgmental. It needed to become a priority to keep that in check, it was always a known weakness to those who were wise for one to be too confident.. hopefully he could keep himself in check within this combative plight. "I'm sure you read enough into detail to know why you're here, yes?" Tasuke said before Spike could reply to his previous jest at the quite strong looking teenagers dull moment. Just because he had decided to come didn't exactly mean he had decided to fight.. he couldn't very well force him, it was already top priority to keep their bout low-key mention due to the Council.. Spike tossed aside the note toward the corner of the room and stepped fully inside. "Of course. You want to confess your love for me, right? I don't really swing that way." Spike said with a half cocked grin. He never had a second thought about a snarky comment to a man he'd fight. Shutting the door behind him he walked toward the center of the dojo. Stopping a few meters short of Chui he jabbed his thumb at his chest and spoke, "I'm Spike Ito, and I'm here to defeat you." With his own introduction settled Spike brought up his fists in his usual half-assed fighting stance. He was the kind who didn't really start until the fight was going, so this could be a chance for Chui to deal some damage before Spike got serious, if he were the sort. "Let's just get right to it then." |

A twitch that must have risen from the comment Spike made upon entry, well, maybe it was the second suggestion after all. So far as the man approached him he couldn't make any more guesses to further a discovery into the fighters style, but he would learn with his own eyes very soon regardless. Tasuke, a seasoned fighter against what must have been a hidden gem of sorts awaiting release from Hyakuji. He cursed himself a moment, why didn't he think to get a viewing crowd or at least camera crew for this display? He could have easily came up with a ploy to make it appear as some sort of charity event or something.. oh well. Ah, so his whole name was Spike Ito? Ironically the people he'd asked either didn't know or didn't want to speak it to someone out of respect.. tsk. Well, he was the confident, assertive type was he? So demanding for the battle to commence, it reminded Tasuke of a young blonde Martial Artist who was just like him with that one aspect; himself. Of course, Tasuke would never go as far as making any deeper comparisons then that, as no one could really be like him. It was time to teach the young man a lesson, no? If he were to underestimate, he'd make the misguided judgement of saying Spike would be dimwitted and raw within battle; his confidence an even bigger weakness. That was just worse case scenario, but it wouldn't matter either way.. like he said, it wasn't a battle he would lose.. The test would be completed. ![]() Tasuke's words showed no signs of being lackluster in their performance of reiterating his sarcastic nature as he slid his legs apart a tad, his hands separating from idle positioning to more active high/low areas. He was right, there wasn't anymore point for talk, something that Tasuke couldn't have stated better himself. How would the young Spike fair against the Heavenly Path?.. "Come." He said, awaiting a move from his opponent. ::MEANWHILE:: 'Even though he doesn't deserve it, I should.. eeeh' A young spirited student under the same exact Teacher who teaches Tasuke, the girl jogged down the street back towards Campus. She was exhausted from her a long days work; literally, she'd just gotten off of her part-time job. She found jogging to her dorm room to be a decent exercise when the time evaded her to participate in more traditional methods. Sadly, she would probably take a small detour out of her benevolence. Tasuke must have not been in his right state of mind; he'd dropped his wallet sometime before leaving the fast food restaurant she worked at. If he wasn't so preoccupied annoying her every chance he got while she was clocked karma may have flown over his head, luckily she was still there to save the day. She knew he was always at the dojo around this time, but she didn't know what day he went to train.. meh, couldn't hurt to see if he was there? ![]() She had decided, picking up her pace a little towards the School. Well, she decided that she'd at least change her outfit quickly into something more comforting than her jogging attire over her work uniform; it wasn't quite as pleasant as you may think, sadly. So his opponent wanted him to start. Spike wondered if he was the sort who threw a lot of counters or something. No, he was probably just another arrogant kid. This school was full of people full of themselves. He probably trained some ancient martial art or had some trick where he shot lasers or his punches exploded. Spike didn't care about that sort of nonsense. He would defeat this guy because fighting was his identity. Spike opened almost every fight in the exact same way, and this guy wasn't someone he felt the need to get creative against. He kicked forward off the ground, bounding straight at Chui, and brought back his fist with a big wind-up. As he closed the distance he slammed his fist straight at Chui's face. "OORRRRYYYAAA!!" Dashing at his opponent and throwing a punch. He didn't really expect it to hit, but he threw it full force anyways. |

Ok..![]() Well, this was the best choice of attack his opponent could present at the moment it would appear. Well, Tasuke would show a few reasons in which he had no problem whatsoever with him throwing wild shots such as the one he just thought would strike the young true warrior of fists. He wasn't to doubt Spike just yet however, it was only one attack. It was very possible that he thought to underestimate the Chui prodigy himself, in which he would receive a taxing punishment for. Well, it was time to begin. As the fist got just before his face, he instantaneously entered a stance suited just for this sort of situation. Gods step should be as faint as his name, or so Tasuke likes to philosophy. He dropped back a tad into the Kasukana Kami, inevitably dodging the punch regardless. This was only the first of a series of actions to happen, all within a moment. He maneuvered his body almost as soon as it had fell backward into the almost crouching like stance, propelling it into a spinning motion that would lead him spinning down the young barbarians arm elegantly. This was the second part of his unique and quick counter strike; Blowing Monkey was about to come into play momentarily for the early-doomed opponent. He would have hoped Spike would have been wiser than to press upon a experienced Martial Artist with weak technique, but it was no matter. Class was in session. As he spun down the arm, continuing his evasive movement with his arms to his side he prepped for Fukidashi Saru's part in his response. With Spike still caught mid-punch by Chui's uncanny reflex and general speed, he was hoping this would work just as it did in numerous bouts with Champions before Spike. When his spin reached its destination behind the opponent, the final rotation was leading an open palm right towards the back of the young combatant. With the momentum/speed of the spin that was leading into the ki-enforced thrust, it was hopefully an inevitable strike.. he'd tighten his body up to the point he wouldn't be able to walk for a week. Heh, Chui was so ruthless. He didn't think he'd get to tamper into Kasukana Kami so early into the battle, but it was like throwing cheese to a mouse the way Spike thought his manner of attack would work; only difference is he wasn't feeding a cat, but a fearsome lion hunting for error in his movement patterns. |

Spike didn't need things like technique. That was the sort of blind confidence he generally espoused about his abilities. His opponent shifted out of the way and moved alongside his arm in the instant before Spike had even regained his proper footing. He didn't have time for that sort of thing though. If his opponent thought he could slip behind him he hand another thing coming. Spike's foot hit the ground and he bound forward again, avoiding the palm coming at him. With this jump he turned in the air, landing so that his left side faced toward Chui. Spike brought up his left arm, pointing it toward Chui. "Don't you think you're flourishes are a bit much?" As Spike continued to make offhand comments his eyes focused on the martial artist he was fighting. He seemed to rely on his speed a fair amount. Maybe Spike would be better off if he brought this fight down to the ground. No, it was really too early to say one way or another. All he'd seen from this guy was one move. It did look like charging at him with direct attacks wasn't going to to though. |

Leo had told Tasuke in class that he'd go to the dojo. "Check it out, see what's down deyah." He had planned to but.. other things caught him up. Well, they were left behind. Some people don't like that Leo's a car. He says they might be just be a bit jealous. Someone wanted to race him, made a bet even. Probably to show off to the girl in the passenger seat, who simply rolled her eyes and got out, not wanting to have any part in it. Leo shot off the line and won the race. He shifted back to a robot, and soon his upper body into a human state. He shook the guys hand, walking around with his lower half still mechanized. It felt different, they were like big snow pants. He still had to get to the dojo. "Shit.." He started walking, counting the money he'd just won. Leo saw a girl jogging and smiled. He caught up to her, his legs still haven't shifted. They clanked and pounded against the ground beneath him, some stray sparks flying. "Ey.. ya goin ta da dojo? Ta meet Tasu-k?" Edited by thebagel264, Mar 13 2014, 06:49 PM.

Ah, well it would appear that he evaded the first counter-strike; it was quite a humorous way indeed that he did so. Bursting forward for an extra push in order to ensure he didn't ensue the damage Tasuke had coming from behind him, it was intriguing whenever he saw someone of a more plain or barbaric nature of fighting do something decent. As he knew, he wouldn't underestimate the young fighter just yet, there was still much more to see.. He continued his stance while growing closer to Spike with caution, he didn't want to make any mistakes with someone he'd heard had brute strength on their side. With a snicker towards the comment crafted ever so cleverly by the mundane wit of his opposition he retorted back,"I'd say that if you consider such a simplistic movement fancy, you've got another thing coming my friend." After saying this, he rushed towards his opponent.. With such quick and nimble movements he'd rather play the role of a naive confidence rather than a seasoned tactician; ironically, that was a tactic in itself. Once he grew near Spike he would attempt a series of combinations beginning with right hand thrown towards the rib-cage of the brawler, open and resonating ki. This was only a ploy for the oncoming combo. Almost as soon as he had launched that attack, he'd quickly spin to the opposite direction while simultaneously going downward with his leg/foot sliding outward and extended. It was an attempt to take advantage of his speed and technique once more, as he faked out of what appear to be a rushing strike to the mid-section into a sweep, born from the CC spin used to craft it. If he were to somehow miss, he'd already be coming up for an almost instant response; the combo would flow out of its counter-clockwise sweeping kick by spinning back up its origin of turn in order to give a quick gut-wrenching blow to Spikes stomach, this was only to happen in case he managed to avoid the sweep by pretty much spinning back the opposite way on the foot supporting him for balance/sturdiness as he performed this attack. If the sweep hit him, he would simply launch a strong kick to the back of his airbourne, horizontal opponent.. "Show me what you can really do, Spike. I know taunting is a little more than your forte of attack." Tasuke managed to taunt just before his series of attacks would begin. ::WITH LEO:: "Well, um.. uh" The girl was startled by the random teenagers approach, but not frightened. His accent was somewhat tangy to the taste of her ear; it made his introduction a little less frightening a quality when it came to approaching people at random. Well, it would appear she wasn't the only one on her way to see if Tasuke was lurking about.. who was this person? "Um, I'm a friend of his.. I was actually going to see him now if you'd like to come along. Although I can't guarantee he'll be there.." She said with a slight touch of embarrassment resonating on the tip of her shy speech. Her intuition didn't give any signs of this man being a threat, so why not take him along? Edited by Kobushi Seinaru, Mar 13 2014, 07:17 PM.

Leo smiled as she wasn't freaked out by him. He kept walking, his legs still robotic. He might need to shift soon and didn't wanna have to go through it again. "I tink he'll be deyah. I tacked ta him in class, said I was gon swing by." Leo put the money into a pocket, not wanting to have it out. Looking to her again, he smiled again. "Do ya wanna ride deyah?" He waited for her response. Leo didn't wanna start shifting and all that if he didn't need to. |

As the boy's hand came toward Spike's unguarded chest Spike's extended arm immediately grabbed Chui by the wrist, stopping the incoming attack before it had a chance to connect, though Chui hadn't ever intended it to actually land. Of course the boy's leg swept around, hitting Spike's leg. He faltered to the side as the blow struck, a grin crossing his face. This was getting fun now. "Sorry, but the truth is I'm not really a guy who cares for tactics and dodging, so I'm just gonna need you to stay right here." He wouldn't release the arrogant boy's wrist. Once more, with an unnecessarily large wind up he slammed his fist at the boy's face, pulling him right along as his sweep connected, leaving them both off balance. Spike's favored range was super close, and his right straight was definitely the weapon he had honed the sharpest so he had to use it to the fullest. Edited by Kaloo, Mar 13 2014, 11:16 PM.

Alright, he was a little more resourceful then originally thought. Well, to a more minor extent to say the least. He was a little surprised that Spike found himself not only able to intercept a punch of Tasuke's speed, but catch it before throwing another hopeless attempt at being him.. well, that wasn't enough to jar the stature of a veteran fighters mind, not at all. This wasn't Tasuke's overconfidence in play, when it came to battle his statements and thoughts were derived from factual interpretation; he could already notice an error in the boys response. This error however, it was unfairly something that only the young blonde would know of the God Fist.. As soon as his opponent managed to grab his wrist whilst he continued his sweep, the staggering balance was prepping for Spike's attack to have an advantage. The mistake made however befell what his opponent foresaw as an advantage; their close range. When he grabbed Tasuke's wrist, he made himself vulnerable to the wrath of the Sai Fureru. Before Spike had even began winding up for his punch with his seemingly gained vantage point, he had signed himself away, about to face the impact of his actions. As Spike winded up, the quick instinct of Tasuke's hand instantly thought to extend his index and middle finger towards the wrist of his opponent; since he was holding Tasuke by the wrist, his hand was at his opponents own. Those two fingers were already prepared for their venture, an instantaneous burst of ki exploding between the fingers and the wrist of Spike. This would do some useful damage, a direct attack to a brute somewhere he probably wasn't use to getting hit would turn out well. Luckily he'd released this attack before Spikes winding had even been complete; a little thankfully as well. He was the farthest thing from fearful of this man.. that didn't mean he'd like to receive a punch from him either. If his attack hit, the impact would inevitably blow Spike even more off balance and probably in the direction his arm was sent.. hopefully.. 'Come on..' was the only thought just before Tasuke's fingers pressed upon the wrist that fathered the hand holding his own from movement. Well, he would be a tad on guard now.. apparently Spike would show to live up to his name, would he not? ::WITH LEO:: "A.. uh.." Was he attempting to be humorous? If so, he was doing quite the sad job; what vehicle around was his? As far as she had noticed, he'd been a pedestrian of the streets that day just as she, what was she missing? Well.. it was a little odd that he'd even offer a ride so nonchalantly to someone he didn't know from a hole in the wall.. then again, she was definitely still feeling her soreness from earlier exercise.. What to do.. What to do... "What car?" she asked embarrassingly, hoping she wouldn't offend him in questioning. |
