Even a beast like Godzilla can be a bit vulnerable in certain places.
And so it screeched as a fist full of fury goes right into its eye, and the beast's recoil caused it to throw Spike off into his fall. A hand instinctively rose to shield its wounded method of visage, just in time to block a certain young magician's effort to add to the pain, though that act merely justified its protectiveness. The great Godzilla even stepped back a bit from the seeming source of efforts trying to harm it, though it responded with yet another loud, almost deafening roar. With one hand still covering its eye, it quickly - for a beast of its size - shifted around, turning its back towards the source of the aggression against it...

And putting them all in range of its long, lively tail, which lashed out in the air, capable of knocking down small buildings, as any part of Godzilla could.

There was not however much that could be done by those who left to watch as this strange, somewhat contradictory group from out of nowhere, set about destroying the baptismal font that was yet clearly now not a font at all. A purple haired woman punched it, and did so with surprising, resounding effect, a further sputter of crackles and explosions from the device, before it entirely went dead. More of the surrounding area faded back into what it should have been - a Tokyo alleyway, in the middle of tall apartment buildings...
But the effect of normality didn't seem to last too far beyond that, with the edges of the nearest block in any direction blurring between reality and what shouldn't have been. Whatever this setup was, it had been made so that there was a great deal of overlap. and there were dozens more of these devices likely laying around.

Maybe just punching the one wasn't so efficient a move...

"How can I be selfish-" Abe began to scream as he managed to get the strange pink blob of a girl away, only to find himself being charged by a teen with a spear again. Unfortunately for him, Sophia had gotten in close - too close - and he had barely a chance to react as she made her strike. Instinctively, he did what any sane man would - lean and step back, trying to distance himself from the oncoming blade. It sliced right through the overhanging part of the helmet, which seemed to cause a variety of lights to flicker from the suit, but nevertheless, Abe threw a superpowered fist forward again...!
"When I'm doing this for-!"
Only for his sight to suddenly be a bit blocked by something like a hand, and a weird, running liquid. He barely even noticed the additional weight, but this-

"AAAAAARGH!" Suddenly there was pain, as the front of his helmet practically exploded in front of him. Metal fragments fell upon his face as a flower spread in full bloom, and the man stumbled backward in pain. Now the suit really did seem to go crazy, with so many things flickering back and forth that it was hard to tell what was going on...
THWOOM
And then, the building shook again, from the loosely swinging tail of Godzilla, but with Abe a bit too close to the edge for his liking...
Where he then fell, his body soon accelerating as, with nothing beneath it, he fell. Seconds passed, his body grew quicker in his descent, and one could imagine he would hit the ground with quite some impact...

Were it not for Godzilla raising up its fearsome maw right beneath him, and swallowing the man whole.

And from there... it was over.

A few seconds passed, and then, with a small flicker from the beast's throat, the madness that had enveloped the metropolis simply... ended. The large, domelike structure all faded away, and the pillars of light fell as their sources turned dead. Every strange image and fantasy let reality through once more, resulting in comedy and tragedy alike. Godzilla, the enraged beast that had laid siege yet again to Japanese shores, raised its head, as if in clarity for the first time in so long, and then... appeared to relax, before it turned towards the sea. Again uncaring for buildings or anything else that might stand before it, Godzilla began to march its way back towards the waters from whence it had came, to dive back beneath them, and disappear another day, presumably, to rest.

One does not simply eat one packet of mee goreng
...Uhm.

...Wait that wasn't...

Was that supposed to...

...The Ordinary Magician, whom had been busy doing his best dodging around on his rickety broom, all of a sudden found out that it was no longer necessary seeing as Godzilla himself had pretty much stopped rampaging around, just as the dome of madness around them all completely disappeared, just as...

...Well. Just as Abilio himself was literally swallowed whole by Godzilla.

And then Godzilla just hobbled away towards the sea from the half-destroyed city like it was none of his business. "...That... that should be... a bad thing... right...?" The Ordinary Magician couldn't help but mutter blankly under his breath, blinking in confusion at the retreating Godzilla, completely weak on his hovering broom. "...Shouldn't we go rescue him...?"

Although, "AAAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!" one person, or Ancient Spirit rather, seemed rather joyous at this sudden and unexpected twist of event. "Fallen victim to his own plan, was that not simply brilliant!" Of course the Ancient Spirit Saigyouji herself would be happy, all it meant to her was that there will be one less person who will stand in her way of obtaining the wish to change the world.

So... whatever she said earlier about not participating in this trial any longer? Was apparently just some fancy twist of words. "Isn't this brilliant, I could win this part of the trial without even having to do anything~" The Ancient Spirit said happily, dispelling all of her ethereal powers from the area though did not at all hold back from making herself very prominent for everyone, flying high up into the air and still speaking in her usual booming voice, even though it wasn't even directed to anyone. "The world is already a chaos after all. If that is what the Entity wishes for then I have this whole world to offer!"

And then she stopped. Hovering above the skyscrapers, ethereal pink butterflies slowly manifesting themselves all around her... she continued to speak, this time however her voice lacked in amusement and cheerfulness, and was instead full of determination, conviction and purpose. "That is what I intend to end though..." She said, waving a folding fan around her. "This world is coming to a horrible corruption, no... it's already being corrupted! Mark my words, mortals!" Her voice boomed magnificently, ethereal butterflies storming around rapidly all around her. "I will bring to you and this world absolute peace and harmony! Never again will you have to be plagued by the terrible chaos that looms this world, never again will all of you have to suffer the treachery of life!"

The torrent of butterflies engulfed her, leaving nothing but only the determined glint of her eyes visible through it. And as her last words, she said,

"Let me die in spring under the blossoming trees..."

The butterflies dispersed quickly, and she was no longer there.

A look of shock showed on Sophia’s face as Abe flew off the building… and straight into the gapping jaws of Godzilla below. She meant to hurt him, but never did she want to kill him. Even though she wasn’t directly responsible in his demise she definitely had a hand in it. The Valkyrie sighed and looked away as Godzilla trudged away to return to its slumber. “It couldn’t be helped. We did what we had to.” Hollow words trying to justify the heinous act of murder, but it didn’t seem like Abe was going to back down any time soon, so what she said wasn’t completely false.

At least now it seemed that the worst was over. With Abe’s apparent death the barrier around Tokyo fell apart and the illusions throughout the city faded away. Sophia picked up one of the fallen chairs and collapsed on it, dispelling her wings as she did. She buried her head in her hands, looking more worn out than she did not two minutes ago. The Valkyrie was no stranger to killing, but that didn’t make it any easier on her.

-----------------Eva-----------------

The gynoid had been worried when the illusions remained despite Lavender’s devastating strike on the device, and was about to move in for a follow up attack when something unexpected happen and the barrier broke down. Soon enough the angels and illusionary clothes vanished, leaving them in a rather hectic scene, but no more so than what they were experiencing earlier.

“It would seem one of the other groups accomplished what we could not.” Eva said to no one in particular as she watched the barrier dissipate. She then tuned into the JSDF radio frequency and checked to see if the interference was gone. “Objective complete, requesting extraction.” Whether or not she got a response she sent all the weapons she got from the JSDF into storage on her EXORNO satellite for future use, after all, it wouldn’t be strange for a few pieces of equipment to go missing in such a chaotic place. While Eva did realize that she was stealing, she would be a fool to let such an opportunity go to waste.

ZEHAHAHA!!
"Santa Maria, please let him be dead. I swear, if he's actually dead, I can totally write that down in the family history!" Kell gushed.

Knocked into Godzilla's mouth. That would definitely be something to remember for future generations. She couldn't believe how awesome that kill would be. Alas, she knew full well the danger of assuming somebody was dead without confirming it. So, she'd put it down as 'suspected dead' and leave it at that for now.

In any case, the incident had come to a messy end. Saigyouji got away, but at least there wasn't a giant lizard rampaging around. Things could've gone worse, she supposed. If they had died here, Abe would've gotten away lightly. And really, that was far worse than all of them getting horribly killed.

"Umm... This isn't good." Cariot floated over, deciding to rest on Kell's head as the luchadora looked out the window. "That is some bad karma~"

He stood still as Kell and Sophina launched their assaults on the armored opponent. from the outside it could be mistaken as hesitation or possibly as assistance by non-collaboration. In truth his mind was a dozen places, controlling various creatures and glowing eyes. He saw attacks from every angle, just watching, watching for when his armor would fail. As Kell ripped off his helmet he saw his chance, and watched it past him.

His unctuous dart haemonculi were poised to strike forward in a suicide attack. The venomous oils covering their skins would have contacted with Abe and from there on it would be a waiting game. His obsessive observation, however, robbed him of this chance and the corpse. “God damn it, I wanted that corpse” he said in frustration. With Abe dead it was obvious to him to turn in with Lady Saigyouji; a task that would be alot easier if he could bring her Abe’s head, or his fingers, or his ears, or something along those lines. He would simply have to hope his word was enough.

As he contemplated his lack of a trophy his ear pick up began to tune in. “Yes, I’m still alive. I’m at the sky tree. It was just some mad scientist, he’s assumed KIA. Of course I was influential in stopping it, why do you think I’m here” As he answered the myriad of questions from his B.R.P.D handlers it was obvious he was trying to eat up as much credit as he could.

"Okay....that was cool." Shad whistled with a bit of appreciation for the fine taste of Lavender's superb skills in destruction. Then had a bit of a thought a second later, "But if you had that sort of attack available, why didn't you use it when the Machine Empire was at our school? You could've sent Vile flying easily enough, or beaten up the Machine King awhile he was all big and nasty-like." He asked, curious even as the scenery changed all around them, "Also, what brings ya to Tokyo anyhow? I'm not sure why all the green slime and stuff vanished, but the fact you suddenly showed up to stop me from committing a act of stupidity is surprising enough, like random encounter or so on. I'm here to check on a huge book sale over by the Skytree myself."

"Hmm," Shisi made a sound, a slow outtake of breath. Abilio was fighting against multiple fronts, from Sophia, that girl with the wood arm, and some pink blob. Not to mention Godzilla some distance below. Eventually, that proved to much for the man, as he lost his footing and plummeted. Right into the maws of the beast.

Shisi's eyes widened slightly.

"Oh."

That was all the undead had to say on the matter. Guess, in the end, despite his ambition, ideology and strength, he was still only human. And people can only do so much before they snap and break from the strain. In anycase, the prompt removal of Abilio had effectively nullified two threats to the city, and with Saigyouji's manic taunt and melancholic laughter, was gone the third. The dome that blocked out the sky cascaded backwards, unraveling itself over the metropolitan area.

And all Shisi did was kick an old man in the face.

The kyonshi shrugged. It didn't matter much now, did it? He wasn't particularly here for glory or fame. The chaos was, more or less, averted; it didn't matter who got the credit, praise or rewards. Besides, he had acquired a samurai's soul. That was a priceless and precious thing.

Walking up to a short distance from the window, a quick glance revealed to him that their side, or at least the people he saw fighting against Abilio and Godzilla, had suffered no casualties. Maybe some minor bruises and scrapes at the most. Well, it would seem the students of Hyakuji, though inexperienced, was far from a force to be taken lightly. Though, Shisi wasn't sure whether to be comforted or worried by that.

"There is no need to justify it," the kyonshi spoke offhandedly. "That is the nature of war." And war knew not the concept of homicide or murder. Only strength and conviction. Though, if someone asked for his honest opinion, Shisi would also admit that they had a relatively minute hand in Abilio's demise.
Boom, the totem-node-thing was blown up into smithereens by Lavender's devastating attack. A moment later, the dome came down. But as the observant gynoid had noted, these two events weren't exactly causal.

"So, its more like a network," the Alchemist remarked to himself, eyes following as some other force disabled the other column of light. The boy memorized the approximate location, whilst dusting off whatever remnants remained upon his person. Then, without another word to this spiteful cast, he ducked off into one of the side streets that lined this boulevard, making his way to where he had seen the next pillar of light. If he was lucky, he might just be able to examine the thing before looters or what nots had their way with the contraption.

Turning misery into meaningfulness!
Seeing a monster fall....

It was a sight to behold (Well, it didn't fall, but still.), and to see if punched in the eye was just the same. It was pretty awesome, for lack of better terming. Shirena walked out, into the sun that had shined upon him, seeing the one thing he left, still riding strong...at least, at first sight!

He ran over to his motorcycle, and gave it a hard rev. Test it out.

VRRRRM...

Ran like a charm, in all of its glory. Yes. This was awesome, but despite the barrier fading away, and the day being won, he could still hear something, something far too familiar.

"Shirena..."

His eyes widened just as he began to rev the bike again, and looked around frantically, as if he had heard a ghost...which he pretty much did. "...Damn it." He sighed, and looked back to the road, with a smile, and looking at where everyone else seemed to be. "I should probably leave. Don't wanna get in the way of their business." He said, with a small chuckle. There was always something more going on here, huh. Not like he really needed all the involvement.

He rode away, into the brightened sky, only wondering one thing...

Just who the hell was that girl that saved him?

Look at his little dance
Spike grumbled from the ground. He wasn't feeling 100%, but he had survived. Standing up didn't seem like something that he was going to pull off any time soon. He let himself be taken by his weariness and fell asleep. He would find his bike when he woke up. Ah, or maybe actually get around to what he'd come here for in the first place and go help his uncle.

Spike, of course, still had no idea what was actually going on, but the weird dome was gone and Godzilla had left after he landed his punch. He knew how he would tell this story, though he would probably have to find out some of the details from a news site or his classmates. He had done more than his part, as usual.

The delinquent boy's snoring left a clear sign that he was still alive.
