ZEHAHAHA!!
For a few seconds, John was hanging off of Godzilla's leg. And then, he climbed. Like a squishy sherpa, he scaled the giant lizard with no idea how he was going to follow this up. He just kept on going up higher and higher, confident in his chances of survival even if he couldn't do anything once he reached the top.

"Dear me, this is a challenge." The scales were hard and smooth, and he had never done much climbing before. It took him ages just to get to the hip, disregarding matters of sheer size and the movements nearly shaking him off. So engrossed was he that he didn't take heed of the chaos going in the streets.

Meanwhile, Kell scanned the other rooftoops. Huh. Seemed like there were a few other familiar faces. Lenny was far in the distance, and so was a certain purple haired teacher. Hmm. That, and shit was blowing up everywhere. This really was disconcerting.

"Oh gosh, Kell. What are we supposed to dooo~?!" Cariot wailed, clearly out of her wits. This sort of mass destruction was the sort of thing punched the pink blob in her pink blob of a heart.

"Tch. Calm down. Alright, we'll look for especially bad spots and clean them up one at a time. We've got a bunch of other students runnin' around Tokyo, so we're not screwed just yet."

She scowled as she scanned the streets more thoroughly. There was no magic 'stop' button, so she just had to hold out until the disaster calmed down. Well, it was only an assumption that it wouldn't get even worse. With her luck, it'd probably go radioactive or something.

Hibiki learned a valuable lesson today. Recoil is a bitch. Having had her fists make contact with the monster's skull, the gauntlets snapping back and causing a considerable amount of damage to the beast, her body learned that force and gravity and all that other mathematical stuff might've helped her more than she would've thought. Especially since she knew nothing about the stuff. Call it her implausible guardian angel. Nevertheless, the girl encountered this phenomenon known as recoil and found herself flying back and into the building she woke up in, letting out a loud squeak as she crashed in through a window and rolled all the way into the hallway of the hotel.

"AWAWAWAWAWAWAAAAAA — !!"

But the goddess of luck wasn't done blessing the girl. Having crashed into not only one room, but two, her body made quick impact with a food trolley, the dish on top falling down to reveal.. a chicken. Spiced. Warm. Delicious. Mouthwatering to look at, even though it just hit the floor. Hibiki decided to give the five-second rule the middle-fingered salute right now, as she grabbed onto it and got up from the floor, her right hand clutched into her delicious meal.

Her feet would move again, and while she didn't move as fast as last time, the girl now occupied with her stolen breakfast, she'd still make her way up to the roof again. This gave the monster ample time to duke it out with Spike, as Hibiki faced another battle. Running and eating. Sure, some of it got on her cheek, her hands, her chest, her dignity, but it was still a very delicious breakfast, and it was exactly the thing she needed after waking up from a long slumber.

After all, a girl can't fight monsters on an empty stomach, right?

Turning misery into meaningfulness!
Shirena kept his stride as he rode toward a...

A... giant.... lizard.

He sighed, knowing that this was going to be a hell of a lot worse than he would've first liked, as he continued riding towards the GODLY LIZARD OF RADIOACTIVE DEATH. He could see one girl blast off of the beast, landing on a rooftop, though on where, he couldn't tell from the angle...though he did hear the glass. That was fairly worrying. He could also see John, going all Shadow of the Colossus on the demon-lizard....that kinda looked like fun really, but he needed to focus. For now, unless he slipped off, he was fairly safe from the attacks.

As he moved closer to the building Hibiki crashed into, he used his explosions under his hands to burst off the motorcycle (he gave a small goodbye to his dear friend beforehand...not John, who was on the leg that the Motorcycle was still riding towards, but the motorcycle. He really didn't want it to die.)

As he landed on the rooftop, he saw the crashed-through glass on the rooftop, and decided to take a peek in, make sure the girl was doing okay. He doubted someone who could punch a giant lizard in the cortex would be in danger, or anything, but....well, he wanted to be sure. Glass tends to be painful, after all.

"...The fuuuuuck are YOU doing back here?"
Izumi would recognise the voice that spoke up, slurred in its speech, and angry in tone. Female, old, and... familial, in a very twisted way. Stepping out from around the corner of a corridor, there came a woman, aged in appearance, but if the bottle in her hands was any indication, it was not the result of a purely natural progression. Not blonde like the boy, but she did seem to have his eyes and petite nose, or rather, he had her's.
"Why are you back? Failed to be someone else's shit son? After you left us all to fucking die? A bigger bastard than the bastard that put you in me!" She sneered as there came a frustrated groan from another 'room', a familiar rumbling to Izumi's ears.

And then one by one, diminutive little heads began to pop out as well.

"Big brother!" With rotting teeth, dirtied skin, and torn clothes, the little munchkins rushed out to meet their sibling, leaping for joy as they gathered around him.
"You're back! You're back!" They wouldn't have aged a bit from when he had last seen them, and seemed so tiny by comparison now. The tallest - and presumably 'eldest' - of them grinned at Izumi with yellow teeth, and a glisten in her eyes.
"You were gone a long time... it was to get us something, right? You always said that what you did was for our sakes, so... you being gone had to be for us, right? You wouldn't just leave us behind, would you? I mean..." Tiny little feet began to bunch together, rubbing against the floor as a head dropped beneath the level of its shoulders, and the cheery voice became a whisper.

"If Mum and Dad can't hurt each other when they're angry, you're the only one who keeps them from... y-you k-k-know..." Her voice began to quiver, shake, staring at her mother in the distant corner, before looking up to her brother, pleading.
"W-w-w-with the belt... y-y-y-you wouldn't leave us to that... w-w-w-would you...? B-b-b-b-b-b-rother.........?" They seemed ignorant of most other things, even paying the undead teen trying to break down their home's walls little mind. However, as Sophia tried to tell Izumi that they should move on...
"Is this your girlfriend? Wow, pretty like you always said. Where's her castle? When we will get to go there?" A shorter, male sibling spoke up, seeming to size up the valkyrie a bit.

Of course, whilst this was going on, Shisi was trying to get free... and did so with remarkably little effort, the 'walls' of the building offering no resistance. They were never actually there...
But that wouldn't stop what he saw as he emerged from being utterly convincing, partly, because of the part of him that briefly flashed within that moment. That distant corner and memory of his mind. Twisted by the passages of time, the transition into unlife, and the sheer refusal of the mind to fully relive the horror, into a nightmare that he regularly woke to. A blood red background against which there only emerges the shimmering glint of a blade's edge, and there are dozens. Hundreds. Beyond count and from every direction before him.

They fly fast, and they cut deep when they hit, piercing through the boy entirely. Blood erupts, yet the wounds do not feel as if they are there. If there is sensation, then it is from habit and recollection, not genuine pain. Similar might result from the bullets that passed through him, the sound of exploding gunpowder coupled with the streaks that whizzed through the air. It was chaos, to be certain, and likely one that Shisi would not appreciate...
"DIE MONGOLIAN!" But then another blade pierced through the veil, but it did not resemble the rest. It was sharp and curved, perhaps similar to some things Shisi knew, but the shape and make was more... native.

A man in samurai garb swung his blade, its edge very real, and very sharp, towards the boy's chest. Little might Shisi realise that right now, he seemed dressed in a fashion as if he had landed upon the shores of this land in 1274.

"LOOK OUT!" A group of gunslingers leapt for cover as Eva decided to unleash her arsenal, but unfortunately their idea of 'cover' just wasn't good enough for what the gynoid could unleash. The cars before and around them exploded them in succession with Eva's shots, flames and debris spewing out as a result. Whilst Eva grew to look like a demon from out of hell, the men caught up in her experiment were left to contend with either the sudden shrapnel that had pierced their bodies, or the flames that enshrouded their clothes.
Notably, whilst all the cowboys reacted, only some showed evidence of being there to actually affect. Those where the shrapnel stayed penetrated within them, instead of passing through, and striking nearby walls and windows. Where the blood flowed, and could actually be stepped in to soak one's shows, rather than merely looking as such, but lacking all texture.

...Though this mean there was at least a couple real people that had Eva had just guaranteed a trip to the hospital... if the hospital could even be reached like this.

Though, whether or not Lavender would be able to make this out, as she rose high into the sky was uncertain. At half a mile up in the air, she would be higher up than even the Tokyo skytree, the tallest structure in sight - and indeed, the second tallest in the entire world. She would be able to make out the most broad of the absurd changes to the landscape - and the presence of some oversized denizens, not limited to the mighty Godzilla - as well as...
Several dozen pillars of light. Spread out across the entire area, centered around one that came from a certain, massive structure...
One surrounded by ominous dark clouds, and that the king of monsters slowly made its way towards, if not for... something fighting it, from the looks of it. But who could possibly be dumb enough to do that?

Let's see... Well, John and Spike both seemed to think the King of Monsters made a good climbing frame, so that was a start.
But they didn't even seem to list, for now, on the great Godzilla's list of things to kill today. To it, they were perhaps oversized fleas on its hide - there, but not particularly a nuisance until they started to bite. They represented no threat to it, and as such, for now, it in turn did not represent a threat, outside of sheer size, to them.
Though, an out of control motorcycle getting flung up into the air off Godzilla's foot might be problem, for those still making that climb...

Regardless, Godzilla's attentions were briefly turned from the Skytree that it had been heading towards, and onto the little birdy that was Hibiki. It cast an eye through the window that she had crashed through, but judging by its pause and apparent contemplation, it seemed unable to find her. But, not to be deterred, with another of its terrible cries, the great beast reared back one of its gargantuan arms, before slamming it full force into the building's side. Concrete, metal, whatever Godzilla struck buckled under the force of the blow, with debris blown all about by the monster's act. The building, and several others nearby, would rumble and shake, before Godzilla withdrew its fist...
And had it not managed to gain a result with its work, there was but one thing for it.

A glow began to emanate from Godzilla's maw, a glow that also lined the fins upon its back. If not stopped, deterred, or made to aim away in some fashion, then it was unleash a blazing torrent of atomic fire upon the building. For if Godzilla should will the destruction of its enemies, then Godzilla, will do what it must to make it so.
...Though it is look rather silly with the Hawaiian shirt, sunglasses, and a suitcase somehow hanging in the other hand roughly the size of one of the nearby buildings. Not to mention that the area began to be flooded by something that looked like...

...Green... gelatin?

Actual contact would reveal it wasn't there, but... weird.

Especially for Shad, whose goat was now a rubber raft.

Of course, Lenny managed to avoid most of this hassle, as was somewhat his plan. Images occasionally flashed of the potential paths he could or might have taken, but each replaced the other at such a pace that they would hardly have a chance to settle in before they were gone. Beyond that, he had simply done his best to avoid things, and his effort was rewarded for it, by...
An eerily deserted entrance to the Tokyo Skytree, atop which the central light shone. Power within certainly seemed to be on, meaning the escalators and the elevator several floors up would be responsive and working as well, though lord knows what would be waiting up there for him...

Abe lightly cleaned away the sides of his mouth with one of the many napkins now simply abandoned on restaurant tables, before breaking into a light whistle. Rising from his seat, and having finished his meal, he began to tidy up, taking his dishes to the kitchen to begin the delicate process of cleaning over the sink.

One does not simply eat one packet of mee goreng
Whatever words that came from Sophia or Shisi went completely unnoticed by the Ordinary Magician, whose attention this time around was completely affixed to the crass and clearly drunken woman who just appeared. Izumi doesn't seem to be in the least bit phased by her words however, more because he was too busy comprehending the fact that...

His own mother was there, standing in front of him right now after so many years...?

He wasn't at all prepared for this, and nothing could have prepared for what he would be seeing next. Stunned as he was, the Ordinary Magician could only blink in disbelief as three kids he could only recognize as his younger siblings came running up to him. After all these years... even after all these years, they were all... "Akane... Suzu, Yumi...!" even his mother, they all looked the exact same as he last remembered them...

"Oh god... you guys are all... you're alright..." Unable to hold back the sudden overflowing of emotion as old memories began flooding his mind, the Ordinary Magician fell to his knees and pulled all three of them into a tight embrace, unwilling to let go as he let his tears stream from his eyes. It had been so long, he doesn't even remember how old he had been when he last saw them... "Oh man... you guys are so short now..." He couldn't help but comment with a strained laugh, patting two of them on the head. "Have you three been eating alright? You didn't stay up until late at night? Suzu, you made sure Yumi takes her medicine?" Questions after questions filled with worry and concern were made, entirely convinced that he was seeing his family again after he had left them for probably more than ten years. True, he was happy, incredibly happy...

...At the same time... incredible feeling of horror and guilt welling up behind the tearful smile, at loss on whether he really deserves this kind treatment after being the one to have deserted them in the first place... He left them to fend off for themselves while he went to live a luxurious life in a mansion with the Hyoudin... His young mind didn't want to constantly put up with the trouble of having to take care of his siblings, while gritting his teeth through... his eyes lingered over to the woman, glaring dagger at her...

...Gritting his teeth through all the suffering his parents would bring them...

"...S'alright Akane, it's fine... There's no belt... nothing to hurt you now..." The Ordinary Magician said softly to the girl as he patted her reassuringly. "Heheh, in fact..." With a renewed sense of bravado and confidence, the Ordinary Magician wiped away his own tears and rose back up to his feet with a big grin, tipping his odd pointed hat to his three siblings. "You don't have to worry about anything anymore, because guess what, I'm a wizard now!" The Ordinary Magician glanced around, conveniently enough finding a very familiar looking besom broom lying at the corner of the room, moving over quickly to snag it. "I learned how to do magic of course! That's... that's what I got back, with magic I can do anything!" He continued with odd euphoria, even taking out the mini-Hakkero, his pocket-sized trigram box to demonstrate by making tiny little sparks come out of it. "With magic I can make us tons of money! With magic we can eat lots of food and we don't have to share too! And and I can make us a big house with magic, and we don't have to live here anymore! Everything will be so big, you each can have your own room with... erm... aircons! They're the thingy that can make your room really cold even in summer! A-and there's no need to save candles anymore too, because there will be lamps and stuff and everything!"

It's very hard to believe just how excited he sounds right now, spouting everything he could to make his younger siblings happy and excited. In fact he doesn't think what he's saying is implausible either, fully believing that with magic he could do everything and anything to take their siblings off their current state of poverty...

And then Suzu's words brought him back to reality... just enough to realize Sophia's existence in this... world of his. Initially he was actually surprised, wondering who it was that the young boy had been referring to. A moment of silence as he remembered about Sophia, the Ordinary Magician glancing between her and his younger brother with a bit of uncertainty, before then saying with a happy grin. "Yep! Not just a girlfriend, but a princess too!" He doesn't even appear to be putting any second thought in his words, fully believing in what he's saying are all the truth. The Ordinary Magician hopped over to the Valkyrie, taking her hand and throwing an arm around her shoulders as he pulled her close with a grin. "In fact, we're engaged and getting married! Just like in one of those story I keep telling you, didn't I? Marrying a kind and beautiful princess that I love more than anyone~!"

God knows what her reaction would be but he doesn't seem to care, as he withdrew himself away from the Valkyrie, moving back to his siblings. "And guess what you three... We're moving to her castle, right now. We don't have to stay here anymore, I can even take you three flying there!" He added as he waved his broom.

As battle and strife ebbed and flowed in other parts of the city Lenny found a quiet, albeit too quiet, path. The flying haemonculi allowed him to scout his way out of danger and kept him from getting turned around. The sharp senses of the haemonculi on the ground kept him from dark places and kept him out of the range of any real living thing. In the midst of this tornado he was the miraculous dandelion seed, flying throughout the hurricane without being caught by it.

His planning was rewarded with a destination. No chance encounters, simply flickerings of light and illusion. He began to actually fear that he had opened his eyes too soon. Maybe the Keeper at the Gate was merely toying with him, the place was fairly chaotic but far too coherent for Lenny to believe that however.

As his haemonculi pushed open the front entrance Lenny noted the place’s oddness. It was too empty, usually people vacating a space left some things behind, but there was no litter. The place was immaculate and that unnerved the Bio-Artisan who clung closely to the shadow of his towering Phylactery.

If the signs were telling the truth the elevators and lifts were several floors up. The lights indicated power so it was possible to take that direction, any other way up the sky tree would take a great deal of time. For a moment he contemplated taking the stairs, but that was stupid, anyone smart enough to trap the elevator would trap the stairs too. Lenny mentally commanded two of his haemonculi to watch behind and two to scout above as he ascended the stairs to the lifts.

The other problem was that his Phylactery was really too big to fit into a standard service elevator, it was probably too heavy as well. He now stood in front of the elevator, a decided what his process would be.

As the elevator doors slid open he commanded two Scythe and one Hunter haemonculi in the elevator, commanding one of them to push the button to go up to the top, they would scout out the top floor before anyone else went up. Once they had scanned the landing two of them, one Scythe and one Hunter, would secure the top level landing while the remaining scythe would head back down. Then Lenny and five haemonculi, two Hunters, three Scythe, would go up the elevator.

As all of this was occurring the Phylactery, too big to fit into a standard elevator, would search the other levels for some kind of larger maintenance elevator while it was escorted by two of the Gargoyle like Dart haemonculi, small impish beasts with skin like poison dart frogs. If no elevator was to be found they would simply ascend by stairs and hopefully arrive before anything went badly.

Hopefully his caution would be rewarded. All the haemonculi began performing their parts as the first three went up the elevator.

This… This was Izumi’s family? Based on the state of the room Sophia already had a feeling that they were living in poverty, but this… Putting the abusive parents aside, the children really looked like they could use some medical care… not to mention a good meal. Then there was the Ordinary Magician himself. Sophia had never seen him this happy before, not even when they went on that date. There was more to that too… Sophia could tell that he genuinely cared about his siblings… and he missed them.

She was so stunned by all this that she didn’t even say anything when Izumi suddenly pulled her close and declared that they were getting married, only giving the children before her a small smile. Her heart went out to them, and the Valkyrie found that she wouldn’t mind living with them, if only just to take them away from this horrible place… In fact, she knew the perfect place to take them too.

And just like that the scenery changed once more, this time into a large medieval looking bedroom complete with a hearth where a cozy fire filled the room with a gentle warmth. Izumi’s family was here as well, minus his parents, except now they looked to be in considerably better health than before. Sophia blinked, momentarily forgetting her own warning to the others a little earlier. She recognized this place… and if she wasn’t mistaken…

“Sophie! Are you in here?”

The door opened and a gruff but kind looking man stepped in, smiling broadly when he laid eyes on the Valkyrie. “There you are! I’ve been looking all over for you!”

“P…Papa…? Is that you…?” Sophia’s vision blurred as she half walked half stumbled towards the man, scarcely believing what she was seeing.

“Of course it’s me! Who else would it be?” The man laughed heartily, thinking that his daughter was playing with him. Then he caught sight of Izumi and his siblings behind Sophia. “And who’s this? Your boyfriend? And children already? You don’t waste any time do you?” He laughed again as Sophia flushed crimson despite herself.

“I…It’s not like that papa! This is a friend of mine, Izumi, and these are his… siblings…” Her voice faltered as she realized what she was saying. This was a room in a castle in Italy, and there was no way they could have been suddenly transported from Japan to Italy in an instant. Even if they were somehow transported there… Sophia’s family was dead. There was no way her father could be standing here.

The Valkyrie dried her eyes and smiled sadly at her father. “I’m sorry papa. I’ll see you again when my time comes.” She wanted nothing more than to hug her father, but held back knowing that if she did she would likely lose herself to this fantasy. Instead she went back to Izumi and grabbed him by the arm. “I’m sorry Izumi, I truly am. But we have to leave this illusion behind.”

There would be no chances for the Ordinary Magician to leave some parting words, no chances to give his siblings one last hug, and not even a chance to say goodbye. Sophia silently dragged the most likely struggling and probably crying Izumi out the door, all the while fighting back tears of her own.

--------------------Eva’s case…--------------------

The tank shells had the intended effect on what meagre cover the gunslingers could muster, and the resulting carnage was as expected. What wasn’t expected was the fact that all the gunslingers appeared wounded by the resulting shrapnel. This gave Eva some pause, had she been wrong? She drove in to get a closer look at the results, stopping at one of the fallen cowboys and taking a sample of his blood.

Analysis complete. Type A positive blood confirmed.

… It was real, this was a real person. Eva picked him up and continued onto the others. Turns out some of them were real and some were illusions, or perhaps holograms. The gynoid felt no remorse for her actions, but she did carry the wounded to a nearby store, keeping them away from further harm, and called for some JSDF medics to tend to them. Once this was done she returned to Misora and Xie to relay what she had learned, patching herself to the JSDF’s radio channel in order to include them and anyone else on said channel as well.

“Most of these paranormal happenings are confirmed to be illusions. Our actions on them will have no effect, though they will react accordingly. If they are shot, they will behave as if they were shot.” It was a rather vague description, but it’ll have to do. “Proceed with caution. It would seem that some civilians have joined their ranks. If attacked, do not shoot to kill unless absolutely necessary.”

Next step would be damage control she supposed… “Report any incidents where paranormals are causing physical environmental damage. We should focus our efforts on stopping them first.” Godzilla came to mind, but to the gynoid it was the least likely thing to be real and as such was considered low priority.

Artemis saw a girl before her after the door opened, the girl offering her hand and Artemis taking it to support herself. "Thank you," Artemis said, letting go and giving a nod, "What's going on here? I'm so confused." Upon leaving the closet, Artemis would find that something else is going on. She watched, still confused as to what's going on. It would seem that another member of her party had proposed to her, Artemis somewhat smiling but confused overall. After all was said and done, it seemed like it was time to go. "Wait for me!" Artemis said, following along behind Sophia.

"Wha-whatz up?!?" Shad suddenly woke up with a start, shaking his head to clear his thoughts. Bouncing up and down the road on the goat caused him to fal alsleep temporary for about a minute, but for him he felt as if he missed something big. Mostly because he was on a raft in a downward river of what appeared to be green water that seemed to flood the city.

"Huh...someone must've broken a water main. Or that business of global warming caused all that snow to melt." He muttered, slightly puzzled by the water but as usual came up with the wrong theory. He also noticed that he was getting closer and closer to the massive lizard with the suitcase as the raft seemed to have a mind of it's own. "Huh...strange. Normally male Mountain Geckos on vacation bring along their harem of at least 4 equally sized and strong females and one slightly shorter and weaker recessive male rival to fight it. Most likely they're at the gift shop, I suppose. Oh, the Tokyo Skytree!" His eyes sparkled at the sight of the massive tower in the distance, then frowned in annoyance, "No...wait, it's not actually a giant fir tree made of poisonious, impaling thorn barbs and filled with monstrous, man-eating chipmunks. The Travel Flyer lied to me again, but at least I know the bookstore is close by the Skytree."

Much to Shisi's surprise, he made his way through the building of the shambled-house-turned-luxirious-room with relative ease. In fact, it was as if the wall wasn't there to begin with. But what Shisi saw just beyond the confines of the room were enough to freeze him in his tracks. The house and building behind him vanished, at least from this mind. Only a field surrounded him now.

And a forests of blades and rains of bullets. A nightmare that wasn't his bombarded the man's mind, as he was instantly whisked into a hellish place. Now, he was a soldier, dressed in some ancient armor, made of leather, fur and peppered with metals studs. A myriad storm of blades drew forth from the air, cutting through the air and into his armor like it was naught but butter. Blood drew forth, as Shisi expected, but there was no pain. However, that meant little, as the undead seldom felt pain. But he remembered, recalled the sensation as metal cut and pierced into flesh. It was a mockery, akin to a dulled out echo of a symphony, but it was there.

"Mongol...?"

However, Shisi's eyes were captured by one figure, a short distance away. Fast approaching, Shisi recognize the armor and blade that the individual wore. A warrior, portrayed by his garb, arms, stance, and killer intent.

Instinctively, Shisi sprung to his feet, reflex taking over the mental slowness that had held him. As soon as he was able he was able, the undead back stepped, his perception telling him to avoid this one blade. This blade, that was different from the rest. However, he wasn't quite fast enough, or the samurai was just a bit quicker. Bringing up his hand at the last second, the blade cut into his forearm, leaving a gash upon the limb rather than his chest.

Blood drew forth. Except this time, Shisi recognized it. This blood, was actually his. Unlike the storm that had cascaded him before, this sword and its user were no phantasm.

Clenching his teeth, Shisi pushed off with his back leg, which had happened to be his right. Using his opposite to keep balance, the boy turned into a half clock wise spin, hopefully delivering a round-house to the side of his assailant's face. Something akin to adrenaline was pumping through the undead right now, at the sight of first blood. The identity and reason of the stranger's attack could be investigated later. At the moment, Shisi needed to retaliate.
"How many people did you injure to figure that out?" Xie commented offhandedly as Eva relegated her report and finding. Well, he couldn't really expect a robot to possess moral sense. Logic and efficiency dominated their processing. Well, lets hope that someone with medical expertise would be able to attend to them.

Turning towards whoever remained, Xie allwoed himself to process Sophia's findings, as well as his own deductions.

"Damage control would be a pain," Xie spoke, offering his own two cents. "It would be way too inefficient having to discern between what is real and what isn't in this hellhole." Giving that the only sense that normal people could use to differentiate between the two was touch, shifting through every occurrence would be too problematic.

"I say we find the source. And break it." The sooner they get rid of the source, the sooner they could actually make progress on cutting their losses'. After all, no one rebuilds their house while its still on fire. But then, the question would arise: just where does this dome originated from? Geometry and physics would suggest the center, but the ability to affect such a large area would suggest multiple critical points.

Then, something occured to him.

"Those surveillance videos," Xie stated, turning to Eva. Of course, he was referring to the one military had shown them before their deployment. If Xie remembered correctly, it had portrayed a group placing strange devices in several different locations.

"Those clips, would it be possible to locate where they were taken?" If so, those devices just might have something to do with the dome, they definitily seemed like objects with such a purpose (mainly because Xie couldn't think of any other objective such an eccentrically shaped device could have, aside from serving as a lightning rod, tripod, or communication array of some sort, none of which seemed likely). And once they found the pillars, they could knock down the building.

Shirena realized that the girl in the building wasn't moving quite fast enough with that chicken being stuffed in her mouth, which grossed him out slightly, he jumped down, bursting his way to her, and yelling to her. "Please forgive me!" He said, before immediately tackling her (though it didn't hurt much) keeping a hold of both Hibiki and the chicken. "Okay!" He yelled, running himself and her at the window, and setting off an explosion from his palm, letting the glass shatter and fall to the ground, doing little to no damage to Hibiki in the process.

At the moment the glass remaining had passed, he set of explosions under his feet, shooting himself to the next building, intent on at least keeping the girl out of harms way. He wasn't sure if the lizard had noticed the dynamic exit he had decided on. He landed atop another building, with a good view of the beast. "Um...sorry...are you okay?" He said, giving her back the chicken he had taken with them. "Its a bit more warm, I think."

And with her desire to leave it all, the images of friends and family did indeed fade away, though the conflicting ideas seemed to leave them coming back and forth. She passed Shisi by as he fought the seeming samurai, short as a confrontation as it rather was. Where the warrior had reared back their sword for another strike, the jiang shi had been much quicker to move, and so his blow struck first. The man's eyes seem to freeze for a moment, before ultimately collapsing along with the rest of the figure's... well, figure, sword dropping from his hands. The blade clattered along the floor, further proof of its actual existence, though with the curiosity as to the man's identity...

An elderly gentleman, whose features were revealed as being far beyond what he had seemed but a moment ago. A man likely well versed in his history, and perhaps from an age where the men of Japan burned with a certain passion of patriotic fervor...
Though, if Shisi didn't move, he was going to be rather left behind, as the group began to near the Tokyo Skytree. Or they would be, until a strange, very large blue fire swept across the path before them!

And that fire came from Godzilla, whose gaping maw let loose a torrent of searing power the likes of which was known by but few others. An atomic inferno engulfed whole floors of the building in which Hibiki and Shirena had just been, and were it not for the young lads intervention, they would likely both be dead right now. Such as it was, they had made it across to the next roof over by the time the great Godzilla had unleashed its might, though with the sheer heat that emanated from the blast, they might want to watch that they didn't catch alight.
With a low rumbling, it brought the flames to an end, the building blazing in front of it, and its blood chilling gaze could be caught through the sizable hole it had torn through the structure.

But having seemingly failed to notice the very reason it had unleashed its atomic breath had escaped harm, the beast instead turned its towering frame back towards the Skytree. A loud, echoing growl seemed to escape its mouth as it began to move forward again, once more undeterred and uncaring. For it was Godzilla, and Godzilla went where it chose...

One could see the great Godzilla step towards the Skytree from within the structure itself, though it seemed that as impressive as the threat outside was, there was little within. Certainly, nothing really stopped Lenny's creations from making their way to the top of the elevator, bringing them to Floor 350. With everything seeming secure there, the boy evidently followed, though he'd probably be waiting on his other creations a while. There were service elevators, indeed, but the haemonculi would take their time to find them, and there would ultimately still be the journey upwards to cover.
Still, nothing out of the ordinary on Floor 350... Barring the occasional, flickering image of greenery, sharp thorns, and rather oversized squirrels, as if someone was uncertain if they should be here or not.

Though, if he went down to Floor 345...

Clap, clap, clap

A man in green, white, and black armour would be waiting, a mildly excited smile on his face as he waited at the bottom of the escalator, emerging from the restaurant nearby.
"Man, took someone long enough to get here. By your age, I'm gonna guess... Hyakuji? Not many others would send teenagers to fix a disaster zone. Though... I guess there are a few, even if the world doesn't really know about them at large." The man, brown in skin and hair, and quite confident in his attitude, folded his arms as he grinned.
"But I'm getting ahead of myself, given I don't think we've met. Name's Abilio. Don't suppose you know about the game I'm in?" He was... curious, and simply tilted his head towards Lenny as he awaited an answer.

Eva... would find she wasn't getting much response from the JSDF. Indeed, any radio signal she tried to send out, or receive, seemed garbled, a load of junk in the air jamming the transmissions. Sometimes there were gaps, infrequencies in which one could get out a signal, but how long they lasted was hard to tell, and when the next occurred was even harder. Not merely radio at that, any phones, cameras, or any kind of transmission that flowed through the air around them, let alone trying to escape outside, seemed to have trouble...
Looks like they'd be on their own if they wanted to find those spots... though the giant, glowing pillars of light - which seemed to respond with an even more intensive glow - might be a start.

One does not simply eat one packet of mee goreng
There would indeed be no time for parting words.

"...Eh? Illus- what? A-ahaha...! Sophie, w-what are you talking about?" The Ordinary Magician spoke with a nervous laugh, taking a few steps away from her in disbelief, unconsciously trying to shield his siblings from her. "They're... they're not illusions, don't be so rude...!"

Even as he struggled against the Valkyrie's pull, there was nothing to stop the world around him from slowly fading away.

"S-Sophie, come on, s-stop kidding around...!" He said desperately as he tried to yank himself away from the Valkyrie to no avail, adamantly refusing to believe his eyes as everything seemed to flicker back and forth, from the lavish interior of a castle to the mad, incomprehensible street of Tokyo. "They're not fake... they're there, they're real...! Let go of me, Secchan... Yumi and Akane... Don't take them away now, don't go!!"

In an act fueled by a chaotic mix of grief, desperation and hope, the Ordinary Magician instinctively threw a punch at the Valkyrie's side, forcibly breaking himself free from her grasp. "Don't go dammit!" He yelled out, breaking into a sprint towards the sad, fading image of his siblings. "You're here aren't you?! I'm won't leave you guys again, so stay with me, please!!!"

He threw himself towards them only to meet nothing but thin air.

The street of Tokyo was still a very mad place. Rumbles could be felt coming from the heart of the city, pyramids and Aztec hybrid buildings still littered around where normal modern buildings should be. Izumi was rooted on his knees in the middle of the street, crying his heart out at his lost memories.

His wizard's hat was dropped, the mini-Hakkero laid lonely inside it.

"...Heart of the city, was it...?"

The Ordinary Magician muttered under his shuddering breath. A small pause of silence as he reached down for the small trigram box lying inside his hat. He rose up to his feet, forgetting his hat as he raised his bloodshot eyes towards the tallest building in the area... the Tokyo Skytree.

The broom that he took from his supposedly fake old home... was still in his hand, as real as it could ever be.

It's his companion after all, always being there whenever he needs it. "...Take out the center, and everything will fall apart... wasn't it...?" A low growl that was as though he was only reminding it to himself. He was wearing an expression that betrayed his inner turmoil as he stared directly at the top part of the tower, his grip on his broom tightened...

Without another word and before anyone could really stop him, he clambered over his broom that then immediately shooting off into the air like a bullet! He wasn't done, gripping the miniature magical nuclear reactor in his hand before tossing it over his shoulder. It fell, aligning itself perfectly against the end of the broom-

BOOOOMMMM!!!

A roaring explosion that could be likened to nothing but a massive prismatic rocket exhaust, accelerating the flying Ordinary Magician to a speed that could easily match a fighter jet towards the Tokyo Skytree! "WHOEVER YOU ARE, YOU'RE NOT GETTING AWAY WITH THIS!!!" The Ordinary Magician roared in inexplicable fury, uncaring that he would literally crash into and right through the floor that would conveniently be the 345th floor, leaving a great trail of heat, light and magical energy in his wake!

He left his odd wizard hat behind.

“Wait Izumi!!” But it was too late, the Ordinary Magician took off in a beam of rainbow light. Sophia knew he was distraught and angry, maybe even hated her for tearing him away from his siblings, but what could she do? Let him be consumed by the fantasy? No, that’s something she would never do, though she still felt guilty. After all, that illusion might be the closest he’s going to get to seeing his family again…

The Valkyrie cursed herself. Now wasn’t the time to be worrying about this, they had to get going. Grabbing Shisi by the arm she sprouted her angelic wings and looked back at Artemis. “You can teleport right? I saw you escape using that earlier. Head towards the center of the city, it’s time we ended this madness. Shisi, hang on tight.” Scarcely a second after say that Sophia took flight in pursuit after Izumi.

Which wasn’t too hard, thanks to the destruction left in the young man’s wake. She continued following this path and would have went on flying had it not been for the sight of a familiar man. The man’s presence alone wouldn’t have been that strange, but he was looking strangely calm, and he was clapping of all things. The Valkyrie stopped there and dropped Shisi off next to her and walked up to Abilio as past events came to mind. “Are you the one behind this? Come to think of it that nightmarish book has been missing even though the thieves were stopped. That’s how you’re causing this madness isn’t it?”

-------------------Looking to Eva…-------------------

The lack of a response from the JSDF didn’t particularly surprise or bother Eva, neither did Xie’s little quip about her actions. The alchemist did bring up a good point though, those devices were awfully suspicious. “I will attempt to do so, one moment.” The gynoid fell silent as she began reviewing the footage shown by the JSDF and picking out landmarks and unique buildings. Her own satellite was obscured by the dome covering the city, but she did have older images of the city stored and used those to pinpoint the location of the various devices.

“Processing complete. I have the location of the closest anomaly.” She gestured to her backpack unit, which has enough space for two people to hang onto. “Xie, Misora, climb aboard and I will take you to our destination. Lavender-sensei please follow me or meet us at the target if you know the way.” Once her passengers were securely on board, or as secure as they can considering how the VENATOR wasn’t designed to transport people, Eva sped off towards the nearest pillar of light.

"It's hard to believe that we're still in Tokyo," Lavender mused as she was treated to a bird's eye view of the transformed city from half a mile up, above the buildings of the Tokyo skyline. From above, the aeromancer could make out just how much Tokyo had changed, to the point of being barely recognizable; with Godzilla on a rampage, new buildings standing in place of recognizable landmarks, and general chaos everywhere.

Particularly of note however, were the pillars of light in the distance. What made them stand out however, was the way the pillars were apparently purposefully arranged in formation around the Tokyo Skytree... the way they were laid out and arranged being far too orderly to have been random anomalies. "Perhaps the answers we seek might lie with those pillars of light..."

Diving down to rejoin the rest of her group, Lavender arrived just as Eva was about to set off with the others. "Just did an aerial reconnaissance of the city... I think the pillars of light in the distance might hold the answers we seek," the aeromancer remarked, pointing to the nearest pillar of light in the distance as Eva requested for Xie and Misora to get on board the VENATOR and for Lavender to follow.

"If you say so... and thank you for the transport..." Misora replied as she got on board - it didn't look like a passenger craft, and thus wasn't particularly comfortable for the half-zombie, but as far as she was concerned, it was nevertheless an infinitely preferable choice over proceeding on foot and potentially running into more threats - and if what the gynoid said was accurate, then they ought to avoid picking a fight with anyone, man or monster, to the best of their abilities.

"Let's go then, time's of the essence,; I've got your backs covered," Lavender nodded, helping Eva ensure that her passengers were secure before conjuring the winds to get her airborne, to follow the VENATOR from a low altitude as they headed towards their next destination.
