ZEHAHAHA!!
"This is just great." Kell stood with her hands on her hips, shaking her head as she looked up at the giant monster. "Looks like I can't do shit about you just yet, huh?"

The blonde jello man drew his bokken, scowling lightly at the wrestler. They disliked each other greatly, but even they had to settle their differences for now. When giant lizards happened to rampage through town, they had their obligation to protect civilians from it. John ran past Kell, squishing slightly when she backhanded him when he got close enough.

Smiling cruelly at her little attack on him, the luchadora scrabbled up the side of a building as she tried to get a height advantage to evaluate the situation. Meanwhile, John was covering the street level, rubbing his jaw where she had hit him. Her grudge really was overblown, given how much trouble she gave him over the months.

The ground shook with every step the giant lizard took. It truly was a gigantic monster that couldn't be beaten by him alone. In fact, it could probably eat a dozen of him with but a single bite. But none of that made John as scared as what he saw happening far above him a few moments later.

"HIBIKI!!" John shouted, clearly freaked out at her death defying plunge. "HOLD ON, I'LL BREAK YOUR FALL!"

“SNAP OUT OF IT!!”

SMACK!

Izumi would feel a sharp pain across his cheek as Sophia pulled him back and slapped him across his face. “The portal’s dead and we’re stuck here! If we want to get out of here we have to put a stop to this madness!” Without breaking eye contact she pointed to the scene behind them where people were being smote for their transgressions. “Or would you rather end up like them?”

The Valkyrie released Izumi and turned away to watch the hybrid pyramids in the distance. Truth to be told she was scared too, Saigyouji said the theme of this round is chaos, and boy did they deliver. She didn’t know what kind of magic was at work here, but it seemed to bypass space, time, and even the fine line between fantasy and reality if the video game characters were any indication.

“Reaching downtown in this mess might be difficult, even impossible. I say we investigate the pyramids, there might some clue as to the source of all this.” She looked back at Izumi and reached out to touch the spot she hit with her hand. Her hand glowed momentarily and the Ordinary Magician would feel the pain disappear. “I’m sorry for earlier Izumi, you don’t have to come if you don’t want to.”

Sophia turned to Shisi. “Shisi, what do you think? Do you…”

ROAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

… Just what is that?

----------------------Eva’s group…----------------------

Fortunately for Eva surprise was not programmed into her A.I., so she didn’t waste any time being shocked and confused. Unfortunately that also meant she didn’t have the same enthusiasm and joy as a certain pyromancer. In this case however, it was for the best that the gynoid didn’t waste time and instead focused on the situation at hand.

“I see several samurai warriors, cowboys, gunslingers, and…” Eva pointed upwards with her cannon arm. “What appears to be an unidentified flying object.” That should be a satisfactory answer to Yogen’s question. Of course there were lots of other stuff in the area, but those were all relatively normal compared to the stuff she pointed out. “Sensors indicate that they are all real, so I advise caution when we proceed.”

The sound of an engine filled the air and Eva looked up again to see the sight of a fighter plane. “Target identified as a Mitsubishi A6M3 Zero Model 22 Zero Fighter. Threat level moderate. Intentions unknown.” Its intentions were made clear as expended shells rained from the sky. Soon the UFO exploded and at the same time the Zero Fighter lost control, and came barrelling out of the sky.

Normally Eva wouldn’t care much, but it seemed that it was on a collision course for several pedestrians. The gynoid raced towards them and placed herself between the plane and the bystanders, pointing her cannon at the falling plane. Probability that pilot survives collision: 8.62%. Even with her armour a direct collision with a plane would be bad for her, so she decided that the best course of action was to destroy it.

Tracking trajectory. Target locked.

BOOM!!

An AP shell shot out of Eva’s cannon, headed straight for the fighter. Direct impact should destroy it completely and the resulting debris shouldn’t be any threat to the gynoid or the pedestrians she was shielding.

… Wait, was that a roar?

"Wait a minute, wait a minute, something's NOT right here..." Lavender remarked as she took stock of their surroundings, and immediately caught note of the prevalence of English signs... in a Japanese city? Moreover, being not one to easily forget landmarks when she's seen them there was something very familiar about the buildings - it was certainly a place that she'd been to before alright. But it certainly wasn't Tokyo, as far as the aeromancer could remember, having lived a few years in the Japanese capital before she could be sure of it. If anything, their surroundings looked like they were in the middle of Manhattan, NYC.

"Did we get teleported or something when descending?" Lavender wondered as she dragged Misora along, with the two of them ducking behind an abandoned delivery truck upon hearing the sounds of gunfire courtesy of a two bands of cowboys engaged in a firefight, while the gynoid was reporting on her findings. Samurai, cowboys, and now WWII fighter planes and UFO's that looked like something out of a video game? Lavender couldn't say she's quite seen anything like this before - but she wasn't about to either start panicking or charging headlong into the action like some of the others. There was clearly something twisted at work, and the aeromancer would at least want to have an idea of what was going on. "We should ask the locals..." the aeromancer remarked as the Zero engaged the flying saucer, destroying it, although the resulting explosion caused the plane to lose control and start falling from the sky...

"Mom... Dad...?" For Misora though, she didn't care much for what was going on upon noticing a pair of familiar faces in an unfamiliar place, and without showing the slightest bit of apprehension over the implausibility of the encounter the half-zombie would dash out from behind cover and run towards her parents, calling out and waving to them to get their attention, even as the blinded Zero appeared to be crashing towards the couple! "Ah... no..." the half-zombie murmured as she skidded to a halt, merely several paces away from her parents as she found herself staring death in the eye.

"Misora-chan?" Lavender exclaimed as the half-zombie ran off on her own accord, although hearing the girl call out to her parents as she ran was all that the aeromancer needed to know. "Bloody hell!" Lavender cursed as she broke into a sprint after the half-zombie; a powerful squall whipping up as she readied her aerowhips - with a sufficiently powerful updraft, the aeromancer surmised she could alter the path of the rapidly-descending plane to cause it to veer off-course, away from the pedestrians and to skid to a halt along the road. Although before she could take action, Eva had already beaten her to the punch, who decided to simply blow the plane up in mid-flight.

"Gale hammer!" Lavender took a hand off her assault rifle and thrust an open palm into the air, a dull boom issuing forth before a lavender-colored wave blasted outwards, the controlled air taking on a powerful kinetic pulse that knocked the descending debris far away from the pedestrians down below. "Nice work, girl... whoever you are," Lavender remarked to the gynoid, giving an approving nod.

"Thank you... mecha musume-san... thank you..." Misora bowed earnestly to show her heartfelt gratitude towards Eva's intervention, before turning her attention back to her parents. "Mom... dad... are you all right? What are you doing here anyway...? Are we still in Tokyo...? Or are we now in New York?" the half-zombie asked, hoping her parents would - being the among the first ones to experience this anomaly - might know more about the situation than she did.

"Hey, I think we have a bigger problem on our hands now..." Lavender called out to Eva and Misora as she heard a roar in the distance, and soon located the apparent source of the sound. "Oh come on, you've GOTTA be kidding me!" the aeromancer spluttered in disbelief at the sight of Godzilla in the distance!

The Middleman (stubborn, yet relaxed)
"Woo! A bit tingly...owch." A strand of his hair suddenly caught on fire the second he walked through, in which he licked his fingers and squished the flame, causing him to wince slightly from the heat. Obviously somehow he ended up in a nearby suburban area that the dome obsured from sight, filled with lots of adults and children running about in traffic and narrowly avoiding getting struck by cars and motorcycles in the process.

"Huh, just like home then." He muttered to himself, nodding to the strange creatures that played with the children and taking commands to do battle. "Now then, where exactly am I?" He reached behind his back to unzip his backpack partially, brought out a map of Tokyo, and rezipped it for the time being, unaware of the looming presence behind him.

Then the sudden jolt of quakes started beneath his feet shook him slightly, making him sway back and forth before falling backwards on his rump with a "Ooofh!" No doubt this was the infamous earthquakes that Tokyo was well-known for, as he noticed the people running inside as if the quakes were going to swallow them whole. Which was a possibility given some of Tokyo was built on a cave system. Then he noted that the map fell out of his hand, in which a rather bulky goat-like creature behind him began to chow down on.

And by goat-like, it seemed to be one save for the thick mane of leaves around it's neck, down it's spine and made a small tail at the end, as well as the extra-long black horns that curved along it's back like handlebars. Not to mention the fact it was a foot taller than him, looking all smug as Shad tried to jump up to grab the map. "Hey, that isn't yours! Give it back!" Shad said in a annoyed tone, jumping up and down only for the head to avoid the snatch until it fully consumed the map.

"Tch...and now it's raining." Shad grumbled as storm clouds began to downpour upon him and the strange goat creature, who began to shake his baggy furcoat to dry off. Obviously it was wrong to steal any form of vehicle from the population, and given that he can see the city far off, it may take him a while to go by foot. "Sorry about this, fella. But I'll give ya a bunch of carrots for your cooperation." He timed the jump quickly enough between shakes to quickly mount the goat creature, then firmly latched onto it's horns. "Okay then, onward to the city!" He proclaimed, pointing in Tokyo's direction and hoping that the goat would be inclined to run in that direction if it meant getting Shad to get off it faster.

Look at his little dance
Spike opened his mouth... Spike then shut his mouth. This was something incredible. No matter how he thought about it though Godzilla wouldn't cause this. No. It was strange for Godzilla to be here at all, but that was what was in front of him. Could he just ride past that sort of monster? No, he wasn't so sure that was a choice.

Still, Spike was a man who had punched a giant robot in the face. He would get past this too. Well, when he'd done that he had picke dup a scooter and run to the top floor of a building. He looked down at the living bike he rode. He wasn't so confident that he could in fact pick this up, much less carry it to a rooftop.

"Well, let's go to the top." He revved the engine and the bike drove into a building,. smashing right through the office's double doors. The people inside were of course concerned, but Spike was taking the sensible approach as the bike pulled into an elevator. He waited as it went up. Straight to the top!

And in this way he failed to notice what was happening to the other girl who had made a similar attack. As he reached the roof he once more revved the engine, the bike barreling straight off the roof and flying across the air at the giant lizard's side. "Good luck partner." Spike jumped off the bike and pulled out his chain. He was bounding for Godzilla's hand. He intended to scale this beast. He just needed to get a grip on it.

Meanwhile the bike fell toward the ground, landing between the monstrous lizard's legs and bouncing back up, before settling with a loud thud.

It should have been really simple. Really, a one way trip from the B.R.P.D offices in Hyakuji to the U.S embassy in Tokyo should be really super simple. Lenny hadn’t been expecting the call but his B.R.P.D “mom” had told him to gather up a haemonculi pack to head into the dome, due to the legal agreement concerning Lenny’s guardianship under the B.R.P.D he wouldn’t airdrop with the others; he would be using a Yog, or Star, Gate to get to the embassy.

Everyone knew the B.R.P.D investigated the paranormal, but very few needed to know that they occasionally utilized the mythical, alien, and occult to their own ends. The Yog Gate was named for the entity that powered it, Yog Sothoth. It was only an emergency protocol, no one would deal with the eldritch merely on a whim, but it allowed the walker to move into spaces that were outside the touch of man, magic, or spirit, but emerge where one wanted, hopefully, due to the B.R.P.D’s refusal to sacrifice to the keeper the gate could be erratic.

Lenny wondered where he would land as he stepped into the translucent gate, giving one last nod to the agents around him as he led his pack of 12 haemonculi and his phylactery through the gates. He made sure not to open his eyes before his feet touched the ground.

He opened his eyes, and noted that his Phylactery was still there as were ten of his original twelve, one of them seemed to have become a mass of immotile, fluorescent fungus and the other was simply gone, hopefully somewhere else in the city. He tapped the side of his ear, hoping that someone would patch through, no one. He wasn’t surprised, he had been told this was likely although with all the chaos surrounding him he was unsure whether he had made it out of the blankness between worlds, though he doubted Yog Sothoth’s realm would be this coherent. He slipped into Hive Mind and commanded his haemonculi to climb up a nearby alien structure, hoping to get a better idea of where he should go. He stayed at the base, his spider like Phylactery standing over him like some kind of vengeful avatar. Beyond that his mutated minions began to climb to see what they could see.

Well, it would seem that the group had found themselves in a more metropolitan district, though the kyonshi was definitively the wrong person to ask if one wanted to know where. Not only had he never been to Tokyo before, he was generally at a loss in such large cities. However, that was the least of the oddities that were here. Misplaced historical buildings, flying buildings, people marvelling at aforementioned buildings and... public displays of affection and even more public displays of retribution.

"..." Shisi made no motion or expression to signify that he saw any of this. But it was obvious that he wasn't blind, so of course the kyonshi saw it. But he reserved the right to not offer input.

Similarly, the young man proved himself surprisingly tact when Sophia slapped the fretting Izumi, pretending to examine the crowd gathering around the Aztec temple/Egyptian pyramid. Poor Izumi, the last thing the mage would need is another guy seeing watching him be slapped by a girl.

"Yes?"

ROAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

The giant's scream was ineffective in disturbing the dead's visage.

"If you're adamant, this one is content in following your lead." Seeing what Sophia had done to Izumi, Shisi had chosen to be non-confrontational. Besides, he supposed that investigating foreign aberrations was a good place as any to start. It would seem that Sophia had been unanimously elected as party leader.

"Please, Izumi," Shisi remarked, kneeling down to face the magician. The kyonshi had no intentions of leaving anyone behind, especially alone. "Let us keep you safe." After all, they would be able to do nothing if Izumi wasn't willing to go with them. Besides, having Izumi in their small corps would definitively prove useful. And if the boy still wouldn't come, well, Shisi could always just kidnap him or something, right?
After a short while, Xie was able to escape from the confines of his own parachute, just in time to witness the figurative hell that Tokyo had now become. Xie, himself, has never been to the large city, but he was certain that it shouldn't look like this. The streets, architecture, and design were all wrong for the big isle city. Heck, the only thing right was...

ROAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

Yeah, that.

Xie huffed. Most of the other student paratrooopers had contend themselves with saving a group of civilians from a kamikaze plane. Well good on them, the alchemist had no interest in that. Lets hope nobody was on that plane. The boy's thoughts were upon different matters; this city was an amalgamation of eccentric mix ups and ridiculous cross overs. Whoever made this place must've been one mess of a lunatic. Just like someone else he knew.

Dusting himself off, Xie looked up at the dome, its pattern intrinsically reminding him of a birdcage. For obvious reasons, he didn't liked it. Not one bit. It seemed to brush at him in all the wrong ways, like how a dog finds malice in any cat. An unspoken instinct, that was just designed for a conflict. But yet, the boy couldn't help but feel some respect for the one with the gall to pull this off.

Well, if he was going to bust this cage, what would be the best path to do so?

Seeing that Godzilla was raging a few blocks away, pretty much meant that anything can occur in this closed off space. With that line of thinking, Xie begrudgingly accepted that it would be much more ideal to stay with the group.

...Funny, after the loud roar that seemed to split the sounds of the city asunder, it seemed that Izumi now had his wish. He was home - as were the rest of his group. They stood in the little dorm as if none of them had ever left for Tokyo, and everything was set to be as inviting as could be. The table was set, food waited in the oven, and the smell...
Wasn't any different actually. It still stank of the big city, odd as that might seem. And to add to all the confusion, if the valkyrie or anyone else were to peer out the windows, they would see just that - Tokyo, still as mad as it was a moment ago. And if they were to test the 'walls' of Izumi's dorm, they would find there wasn't really much in front of them... aside of where the immaterial walls seemed overlayed perfectly onto the real walls of buildings on either side of the street. They might even walk themselves into a lamppost that had been hidden by the... change in scenery.

And Shisi seemed dressed like some gangster thug, ready for a kidnapping. Though, they might want to address what appeared to be a student councilor getting berated by parents that merely watched on as the daughter was being forced upon, with potentially worse coming up for you...
Curiously, in spite of her size, Dakota weighed far more than she should have, and didn't exactly sound right either. As if she was... someone else.

Elsewhere with Eva and the pseudo-paratroopers, there was an explosion. That explosion was the plane that had been flying in, now made into something of a fireball by the shell that it...
Whilst a building that had been behind the aircraft suddenly, partially exploded, as if hit by something. Fortunately, debris from neither fell anywhere near the group, in part thanks to Lavender and her efforts to keep her teammate safe. There was just one small thing though.
"...T-Thank you, but who are you? Why are you calling us 'Mom' and 'Dad'?" That... probably didn't sound like Misora's mother.

"...Dear! What happened to your face?" Misora's 'father' turned to look at her 'mother', and the two seemed in subsequent shock and the failure to keep consistent features. After several moments, their forms shifted, now quite far from resembling the young teen. They fled into a nearby building, apparently their home, as...
Misora had all sorts of odd bits and pieces appear on her person, questions like 'who is she?' and 'what did she mean?', with the couple occasionally glancing out the window at her.

Shirena and Shad were making some headway into Tokyo, though their experiences... differed, in odd ways. The former young lad reveled in his chance to ride, even as he passed through and by transformed landscapes, that ranged from deserts to the arctic to - somehow - the surface of the moon, whilst the temperature and atmosphere never seemed to actually change as he did so. The latter however would probably be trying to reconcile that the odd goat creature he'd enlisted...
Sounded nothing like a goat really.
No, it was loud, roaring as if by an engine than lungs. His grip on the horns seemed to affected its movements, leaning left and right making it go such directions in turn, and slight twists back on the horns seemed to act as incentive for speed. Not to mention, his seat felt more like leather than fur...

Though either way, the two would advance, and in several minutes - what with a current lack of traffic - find themselves fast approaching a spectacular scene...

And that scene was Man vs the King of Monsters.

Though some were handling it a bit better than others.

Take for example, Hibiki. Her initial move had been admittedly somewhat impressive, as the outrageous orange fighter leapt right into the fray against the massive beast. Her double punch struck hard against Godzilla's skull, and one could see a massive cloud erupt from its skin as her gauntlets drove forward. Her punch would have undoubtedly broken a sizable wall...
But Godzilla was no mere wall. And Hibiki, unlike many actual walls, such as those belonging to buildings that had been unfortunate enough to merely stand between Godzilla and whatever its target destination was...

She now had its attention.

And where it would have left her to fall to the ground if she had merely jumped, or just been like a fly upon its skin, her hit however seemed to have a noticeable effect. It had... caused the beast to flinch, and stop in its path. It dared to stand against the might of Godzilla, and do at least something to prove a potential threat.
As such, Godzilla, with purposeful grimace and a terrible sound, swung one of its arms at Hibiki, with enough power and force behind it that if she were hit, she would be sent flying straight into the Tokyo Skytree, and the landing wouldn't exactly be kind either. Should she manage to avoid it somehow, then she would have to contend with either its other arm, or worse, its foot, ready to stomp something for today.

What it did not seem to notice however were that there were others rising against it, both literally and proverbially speaking, taking advantage of several surrounding buildings managing to edge out Godzilla in height. This was an urban metropolis after all, and right of the heart of it, so a little aerial advantage was to be expected. And Spike seemed to use it well, as his chain managed to catch on several of of the monster's scales, giving him grip and something to climb upon. But this act did nothing to harm or deter Godzilla in any fashion, and so the beast merely continued on its existing path, uncaring for the bike it would somewhat nonchalantly try to step over entirely.

And Lenny's various minions would seem the various things already going on, and much more madness that simply spoke of the strange things going on. Carnivals next to choruses of mayhem, heavenly paradises besieged by images of the wicked, and in some places just one really big card game. Even Godzilla was not the only thing attacking the city, from the looks of it, with other fearsome creatures of impossible size roaming the distant corners of the metropolitan area. All within the dome, which itself... seemed roughly based around several great lights, the greatest of which came from none other than the Tokyo Skytree...

...Where within, a certain someone, still decked out in his green and white power armour, was enjoying breakfast in the Sky restaurant, up over three hundred metres off the ground. Well, the staff hadn't exactly come in to work for the day, so Abe just helped himself

Artemis was lying on the floor in horror with what appeared to be her girlfriend on top of her, Artemis' parents not too far and watching in shock and dismay. It was a bit strange that Dakota weighed more than she usually did, movement seeming somewhat more of a hassle than it would normally be. She then heard her speaking, Artemis still confused at the whole situation but able to tell that something was off. "What's going on here?" Artemis asked herself, continuing to try and unpin herself from Dakota.

It was then that she tried one more time to use her power, falling into her shadow and reappearing in a nearby closet. An obvious thud could be heard as she falls to the ground within the closet, a quick grunt coming from the girl as well.

"...Safe...?"

He sounded odd. What had been a voice full of panic and terror from earlier had somehow completely vanished, replaced with that of someone who is... actually quite content and calm. "What makes you say that?" He added curiously as he turned to face the zombie, absent-mindedly withdrawing himself away from Sophia. "We're already safe here, aren't we?"

He raised his arms besides him, pointing out where they had obviously been this entire time... in his own room back at Yuki Dormitory.

...Hold on, what is going on here?! Weren't they supposed to be in the middle of the street at Tokyo or something?! There were pyramids and Aztec ruins and indecent people being rained by judgements from the heavens and everything! Of course if they really kept their mind and stayed cool, they would have easily been able to realize that this mess of a room with junks littering the floor and various books and tomes and magical contraptions and glass vials and everything accompanied with the funny sounds that would often be heard in his room are just mere illusions.

But Izumi... doesn't seem to be thinking that way... "Of course, we're safe here aren't we?" He said to the two, actually forming a little smile on his face. "Much better than my old home, this place is my safe haven..."

As he said that however, everything changed yet again.

All the fancy mess that littered all over the room was gone. The colors had all but disappeared, the funny noises died off. All three of them were standing in... a very small living room of a sort. Everything around them looked old, bleak and worn down, the paint on the walls were peeled off, the flooring all moldy, the windows cracked, everything smells horrid...

"...Home...?" Izumi suddenly muttered, the reassured tone from earlier replaced with one of surprise and apprehension. "...Mom...? Dad...? Akane? Suzuchan, Yumicchi?"

This was too weird… Now they were back in Izumi’s dorm? She recognized the room from that one time she visited, but that can’t be right. Before she could react to this the scene changed again, this time into a really worn out and rather… depressing looking room. “… Home?”

Sophia echoed Izumi’s words. First Artemis was being surrounded by a horde of her girlfriend, which didn’t seem too bad until it looked like the mass of Dakotas were smothering her, fortunately she escaped though, and Sophia opened the closet that Artemis had reappeared in and offered her a hand up. Now they were in Izumi's old home..?

Once Artemis was on her feet the Valkyrie reached over to the Ordinary Magician and placed a hand gently on his shoulder. “Izumi… you know this isn’t real. Don’t get trapped in this… fantasy.” She didn’t know anything about Izumi’s family life aside from the fact he trained under Alice, if that could be counted as family, so she could only guess at what he was feeling. If it was her though…

No. Keep focused. Sophia quickly slapped herself. This… world seemed to react to the thoughts of the people in it, so she had to keep a level mind. “Come on, we have to go.” She gave Izumi's shoulder a small squeeze then glanced at Shisi and Artemis. “Keep your thoughts in line, I suspect this world changes according to what we think.” Odin help them if that was the case… a city full of people and a world that reacts to their thoughts… It would be the very image of chaos…

-----------------------Eva’s case…-----------------------

If Sophia’s hypothesis is correct, it would appear that the gynoid would have the advantage seeing how she had no thoughts in the traditional sense. However the physics of the plane’s destruction didn’t seem to add up. Yes the ammunition she used was an armour piercing round. Yes the plane was from WWII so it would stand to reason that it was much more fragile than aircraft today, so using an AP round was overkill. But the shell shouldn’t be able to penetrate the plane completely and hit the building on the other side.

The damage to the building did confirm something though, this was a world overlapping with the real one, not some other dimension altogether. The question then became… what effects did the real world have on the illusionary(?) world?

There was one way Eva could test this. “Stay close together, do not wander. I will return shortly.” The gynoid then sped towards the fire fight between the groups of gunslingers and cowboy on her motorized skates, stopping a short distance away. She raised her cannon arm once again, pointing it at several gunslingers hiding behind a car.

BOOM!!

BOOM!! BOOM!!

The car exploded, as did two others that were being used for cover by the opposing group of cowboys. As the damage was dealt Eva kept her sensors focused on the gunslingers, taking note on what kind of effect her attacks had on them. Honestly she wasn’t sure what she was looking for, hopefully something that would point her to the source of all this.

"Man, you must be really hungry, aren't ya! Whooa!" Shad chirped cheerfully, not even slightly rattled or confused by the noise the large goat creature was giving off as the duo raced down the road towards the city, laughing in amazement at how fast they were going. Heck, he didn't even question the leather feeling since he couldn't feel it due to his own leather robes that covered his legs and tush.

"And we seem to be making good time too, I guess those earthquakes must've caused the civilians to take other safe routes so we could have the road all to ourselves." He snickered at how fearful those people were of a few minor shakes, given that back home, earthquakes were usually 9.0 or higher, harmless to most of the citizens there save him who had to stay on a rubber raft surrounded by lime gelatin. The slightest mistake could end with him falling into it, perfectly frozen in time for eternity breathless, but luckily that never occurred.

Several minutes later, Shad could see the faint outline of something big over in the city. "Hmmm...." Narrowing his eyes, then taking off his glasses briefly to clean them and placing them back on with one hand, he looked at Godzilla as the goat creature continued to shorten the distance between him and the city like crazy as he steered it forward. "Odd, I didn't know that the Mountain Geckos were vacationing here. I should probably give it a hug to make it happy." He muttered, believing Godzilla was a harmless big lizard on vacation (and being picked on by unknown muggers upon closer examination by his viewpoint).

As his various haemonculi reached the top of the building Lenny began to weigh his options. His vantage point was, unfortunately, not much of a help. He knew which paths would obviously kill him, but the chaos of the other areas left him uncertain. Were the heavens he saw truly safe, would he become a lotus eater if he went there? Would the chaos provided by certain regions allow him to pass unnoticed or see him beaten to death in a mob? Well chaos can be managed with observation, so . . . let’s head towards the center? The blinding lights near the city’s center suggested a significance, the dome was the highest there so it was most likely the epicenter unless the chaos of the area was misleading him, but he figured he had to do something, to remain here would be pointless.

He picked a path that steered clear of large masses of people and monsters, that avoided the heavens and hells he could obviously see. He left one haemonculi on the vantage point and stuck a barb haemonculi on it so it could act as a kind of Northern sentry with its vision and pheromones. Beyond that he sent three slick skinned gargoyles in the sky ahead of him to scout the way while his remaining six haemonculi, not including the few barb haemonculi in his bag, made a diamond around him while he stood directly under his massive Phylactery. Keeping to this marching order they advanced, the hyper-sensitive senses of the haemonculi on high alert in all directions as Lenny directed them with a hive mind.

He moved toward the light, like a moth.

"Here?" Shisi blinked once. How was here safe at all? Standing back up, a solemn expression plastered his face. And then, that was when the undead saw it. They had moved. Or the environment around them had changed, Shisi couldn't tell. Regardless, they weren't where they were anymore. At least, not quite.

The street that they were just on was transformed into the semblance of a Hyakuji dorm room, seemingly instantly. But it wasn't just an ordinary dorm room. Things that Shisi couldn't even begin to name, aside from "books" and "stuffs", littered the cluttered area. Judging from what Izumi had said, this must've been his room. But that wasn't all that had changed. Shisi now found himself in faded jeans and a leather jacket; he was fairly certain he wasn't wearing that before. And he was also fairly certain that he didn't bring a cloth dripping with chloroform either.

Tossing the sweet smelling rag aside, Shisi bore witness as the room changed again. This time, a decrepit atmosphere replaced the one of mild familiarity. A shambled room, with musky floors, walls, broken windows, and a dingy stench. Though the condition of this house weren't exactly what one would call luxurious, Shisi had slept in places worse.

But, he was perceptive enough to see that Izumi's "old home", as he put it, wasn't the same as his "safe haven".

"Trepidation holds you," Shisi remarked to the young magician as eyed the individuals that had spawned with the house, placing the names Izumi had called to the differing faces.

"Ex-" Shisi opened his mouth, intending on asking the witch what was wrong, but then decided it was not his place to do so. He didn't know whether this was real or not, but the boy's reactions were real enough. Whatever happened with these people, presumably his household, had affected him greatly.

Of course, Sophia's interjection would make pretty much any individual think about whatever they were trying not to. In this case of Shisi, that amounted to... Well, nothing really.

"Understood," Shisi shot back at Sophia. With a rather extensive case of retrograde amnesia, the undead couldn't remember anything about his past to think about. His entire consciousness was focused into the present, this changing phantasmagoria of a world around them.

"This one will seek a route out," the Andy Lau clothed Shisi announced plainly to both Sophia and the newcomer Artemis.

Well, whether they were fake or not, the appearance of Izumi's family had definitively complicated things for the boy. Obviously, staying here would be unwise and unproductive. Though, how would they deal with this? Whipping his head to the side, the undead noted that the make of the room seemed fragile, upon the brink of falling apart. Then an impulse swept through him.

Breaking off into a stepped sprint, the kyonshi spun himself, before launching sharp side kick at the wall. Of course, the boy wasn't stupid, he couldn't break through even a worn concrete wall without completely snapping every bone in his leg. But all rooms had a door, right? And if not, a cracked window would have to do.

But, unbeknownst to Shisi, something does plague the undead, dwelling within the corners of his mind. Though not exactly memories, they were vivid recollections, of a different nature. Nightmares. Ever since turning, the boy had awakened to one of two. And this one could be summed in but a phrase.

Fields of blades and bloodied bullet rain.
Exploding planes. Violet winds. Crumbling buildings. Cowboys and gunslingers locked in a shootout. Joined by a militaristic weaponized humanoid. Godzilla in the distance. Needless to say, a lot of things were happening at the same time, none of which made much sense. But that was why Xie was here.

And what he was paying attention to was none of the above, but the exchange between Misora and her "parents". Particularly, what they said and the warping of their features. The alchemist raised a brow, as the duo remarked that they had no idea who Misora was.

"Hmm..." the Chinese boy remarked to himself, cupping his chin between his thumb and index. Unlike a certain gynoid, there would be no need for people to get hurt for Xie to uncover the secrets of this world. Already, he was forming a rather sturdy hypothesis.

"Like the dome, this place is a mask..."

Though, it looked like he wasn't too interested in sharing.

"Hey, everyone alright?" Lavender asked as she gathered the winds around her to create a propulsion burst, and with a dull boom and a blur of violet the aeromancer closed the gap in the blink of an eye between herself and Misora and her "parents", as the couple apparently didn't know the half-zombie, much to the copper-haired girl's confusion.

"Ah... I must've made a mistake... sorry..." Misora recoiled slightly as she realized that the woman's voice didn't sound like her mother at all, and if even if she did look the part... until her husband spoke up and the woman's face simply warped and shifted before the girl's eyes until she bore no resemblance to Misora's mother. "Ah... what is happening to me...?" the half-zombie wondered as she suddenly found lines of text appearing all over her as the couple ran into the shelter of a nearby building, questions like "who was she?" and "what did she mean?" appearing all over her.

"Stay calm, Misora-chan, something tells me all is not what is seems here..." Lavender remarked as she put her arms around the half-zombie in an attempt to reassure the girl, although the aeromancer was for the most part examining the hole made in the side of a building where Eva's shell had apparently pierced right through the Zero fighter to impact against the nearby buildings. "Not that I'd expect a World War 2 plane to survive any form of impact with a cannon shell, but the way that shell hit the building... it's like it punched through the plane like it wasn't even there," the aeromancer remarked thoughtfully.

"And did you notice how the woman's face changed appearance when her husband asked what happened to her face?" Lavender commented, briefly gesturing towards the couple who occasionally glanced out of the window at the half-zombie.

"Lavender-sensei... what do you mean...?" Misora asked as she looked up, at the aeromancer, while trying to avoid looking at the words appearing all over her.

"I'm thinking... there's something at work in Tokyo," Lavender replied with a tone of apprehension. "And it's making us see what we want to see," the aeromancer continued, glancing in Eva's direction as the gynoid sped off, but with a reminder to the others not to stray away from being in a group.

"So you're saying is... they looked my parents because I wanted to see my parents?" Misora droned in response, taking a look at her own arms, and trying to convince herself that she wasn't about to transform into anything weird.

"Basically, yes," the aeromancer nodded her assent. "But it's merely my hunch, not sure if there's a way to confirm this though," Lavender mused as she proceeded down the street at a slow pace, making sure that the rest of the airdropped students remained within her sight at all times. At least she had a theory for what might be the cause for all the chaos in the city; but therein remained the question, of who or what might be the source of this phenomenon. "Gimme a sec; gonna give myself a bird's eye view of the city to scout out any potential leads! Don't stray away in the meantime!" Lavender called out to the rest of the not-paratroopers before making a vertical ascent into the skies above Tokyo, hovering above the city at an altitude of roughly 800 meters to give herself a bird's eye view of the city below to scout out any potential leads.
