Continues from "Diamond Cutter" episode Damn. Something changed in Nieves. Her victory took something away from her, like it did with Sagyougi. The spirit lost wisdom. Nieves lost a form of courage. The courage to step out of the game. Talking with her brought her nothing but the realization that she was the only one that wanted to back down. No, backing down would do no good. she had to find a way to prrevent them to awaken whoever was feeding on their achievements. Espcially now that the next thing they had to look for would be chaos. It was easy to understand that looking for a thing like that could bring mayem to even bigger proportions than before. If only her search for courage completely destroyed a train, with notable problems on the railways in the following days, and caused commotion on the news... Their search for chaos could bring havok on a much bigger scale. It was a mistake leaving Nieves alone. It was easy to understand what was going to happen in there. She'd take the jewels, and use them to cause even bigger chaos. Did she want to throw them in the middle of a crowded street? The street she was walking in was strangely quiet, and this gave Naja further time to think about what to do. Who among the other kings could potentally be the bigger threat now? Of them all, Abilio was the one that worried her the most. He scored no wins yet, and his claim as an anarchist kinda let her think he certainly had little worry for the lives of others... Damn. The sheer reality was that she had no idea on how prevent them for completing this task. It wasn't because the game was far too well orchestrated. It was because she really had no idea on how she could track thge others down. It meant she had no choice but to strike them during their next meeting in the King's Chamber. She had to find allies to accomplish that. But how? She certainly could not convince random passerbies to help her. Maybe she had to seek the help of those same people that tried to stop her on the train. But where to look for them? Edited by Sota, Mar 6 2014, 07:48 AM.

"You look troubled. Are you hungry or something?" ...He probably should stop making his appearance so suddenly like that. The street had been relatively besides the woman herself... until now. Turn around, she would find the source of the voice to be that of a young man in a jacket with a blue knit cap standing right next to her. He wasn't looking at her though, just facing the other side of the street. ...Coincidentally, it was by a crossing, and even though there were no cars around he was standing there just waiting for the crossing light to turn green. He also has two dorayaki in his hand, wrapped in a small paper bag. One of them is already half-eaten however. "Here," The young man said, handing the dorayaki over to the woman, though still not looking at her. "Only the half-eaten one, the rest are mine," Sometimes, Seth Ryouga is an enigma... Or probably just acting odd as usual. |

Naja's crystal clear eyes stared at the human boy, offering her the half eaten thing. What an odd way to offer help. Naja approached him, and accepted his offer without complains. The tall woman took the dorayaki, her thin fingers taking it. "I'd love to have hunger as my worry" she said as she took a bite from the dorayaki, and her eyes wanedered through the road, in the distance. "Unfortunately, I made some miscalculations in my plans. An error that involved me in something that deeply goes against my interests" Naja took a second bite, apparently taking her time to taste the snack as she studied the boy from head to toe. "What makes you curious about my worries?" She asked. |

"No reason really. Just thought I'd ask to fill the silence," He said as he took a bite off the whole dorayaki left to him. What an odd reason. Then again, he is known to be quite nosy sometimes. "Of course, they say that humans should help each other out when they are troubled. Supposedly, it's the right thing to do," An amused snort, and he took another bite, speaking with his mouth full. "Honestly just sounds like what a saint would say. Silly people," How uncouth. At the very least don't talk with your mouth full, even if you laugh at the idea of a saint. "In any case, about your plan..." Well, here it comes, can't say it's not to be expected. "Are you backing out now that it's not going how you want it to?" ...What? Not going to ask what the plan actually is...? |

"Of course not" she said, closing both eyes and raising her eyebrows. Naja had no intention on giving up her plans. The whole set of events was evolving in a major setback for her, and it was openly clashing with her personal interests. Whoever was eating wisdom, courage and chaos for breakfast wasn't certainly going to hand over a free wish in exchange for them. "But I may need some help with these...complications. It's something I'm probably not able to solve unaided. The problem is that I have no one to trust." |

Hm... He took another bite from the dorayaki, this time actually keeping his mouth shut while chewing all the way until he swallowed it. "You make it sound like it's a big problem," Which it probably is, else she probably wouldn't have said she needed help in the first place. Speaking of, "That's an odd conflict if you ask me. Why the trust issue?" He added, taking another bite off the dorayaki. Again, he didn't say anything until he's finished whatever is in his mouth. Whatever it was in his mind, it's apparently important enough he's decided to be polite about it. "When you ask people for help, you put your trust in them," The dorayaki was only half-finished, but he's had enough of it apparently to give it up to the woman. "And trust... is only worth it if it works both ways," Whether or not she takes it, the little paper wrapping will get crumpled and tossed all the way into the trash bin at the other side of the street. "You sound pretty determined on this plan of yours. And if you're honest about everything, I see no reason why others wouldn't trust you," Saying that, he turned around, properly facing the woman this time with a grin. His hand held out to her, for the customary and universal symbol of agreement, a handshake. "I have my own reasons, but never mind that. But would you be able to trust a stranger enough to ask for help from one?" Or to put it another way, would she be desperate enough for help to trust a stranger to help her? |

"Heh" she watched the crumpled dorayaki fly above the road and fall inside the trash bin. Nice throw. "Honest about everything huh?" The crystal clear eyes of Naja stared at the grin of the boy. "Four people took part in a game. The winner would be given a wish to shape the world to his or her liking. The game involved them to seek things and offer them to an entity that once revived would grant the winner that wish." Naja's eyes studied the boy, to gauge his reaction. "The first round of the game tasked them to find wisdom. One of them went missing, but another found the wisdom they were looking for. It was her own wisdom that was given to the entity." Naja took a deep breath. "The second round began with a substitute for the missing player. This time they were tasked to find courage. Even this time, a form of courage was taken from the winner. Now they have the task of seeking chaos." She still had to shake her hand. "After withessing what happened to the players deprived of wisdom and courage, I began to ask to myself if they weren't simply tricked. Tricked to revive an entity that in the end would not grant any wish. They've been changed, altered to keep playing its game even when one wanted to back down." Naja stared in his eyes. "I'm the substitute. I'm the fifth player in this game, and I feel we've been tricked. I feel I have to find a way to stop this game before this entity we trusted awakes. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm trowing away a wish, but I've seen enough to doubt about this whole game. Do you still want to offer your help, human?" |

...Huh. ...Well then. "...Alright I can't say I was expecting that..." He was actually genuinely surprised by her reveal, though... apparently not as much as anyone would expect from a random stranger who just had such outlandish story thrown at them? "Jeez, you're the second, maybe even the third I've heard that from..." He scratched his head, slightly perplexed at how the events are coming up and fitting themselves together like a puzzle. ...Not a complex one, just a simple one plus one stuff. Though from the looks of it, "Apparently that wish thing wasn't a hoax after all huh," He said to the woman, just to confirm it one last time even though he has a feeling she wouldn't change her story no matter how many times he ask. Though this does make things a whole lot easier doesn't it? At least she found herself someone who would believe and help her instead of having to try her hardest to convince a complete stranger and newcomer to the situation. "So she lost her 'courage' huh..." It was probably easy enough to tell whom he heard the story from just from his little comment. Dammit, he knew this whole thing was fishy in the first place. "Alright, you actually convinced me more than I really need to, so yeah count me in. God what a mess..." His hand is still being offered by the way. If she's going to take it... any time soon...? "I've never been a fan of cheap and silly shortcuts like an almighty wish anyway. If anything, everything you do has to be with your own two hands with your own strength. That's where the real reward is," He's quick to accept her help. It helps that he's a simple man in the end under all that folds and layers of personality labyrinth. Some entity wanting sacrifices and get himself revived for god knows what, that sounds more like trouble than anything else. "So, where do you want to start?" |

Even the third? It seemed this boy already was caught in the matter. Naja wondered during which circumstances and who of the other kings he met. The thing could very well be an hoax instead, with five people that really believed in it. In his words she could understand at least one of the other kings he met: Nieves. "These are rather wise words" she said as she finally held his hand "But there are times where your own strenght alone isn't enough. The problem rests in finding the right form of help" "Your help alone won't probably be enough. There are lots of things we need to dofirst. We need more people to help us. I want to put a stop to the current step of this game, but I fear there's nothing we can accomplish on time. We probably have to strike directly at the core of the problem and confront the one that is leading this game directly..." |

"Heheh, that doesn't apply to me lady," He said with a bit of a smug grin on his face, raising a clenched fist in front of him. "Because I am the strongest~" ...Is this really the time...? Alright put that aside for a moment, let's focus on what's really important right now. "So you say this Entity thing is getting sacrifices..." He pondered as he took out his phone, reading a message that he just got, staring at it with wide eyes for a moment before looking back at the woman. "...One of them is already doing his, ...her thing at Tokyo, if that's something to go on about," Well, they're not going to be able to get there in one minute that's for sure. And she already said she's not confident on going after all the other contestants, so her choice is only to take on the mastermind itself. "...So... have you actually seen this... Entity thing? If so, where can we find him?" Surely if they could actually find him, he could just punch that Entity in the face and stop this whole mess altogether. It... really wouldn't quite work if there was nothing to punch in the first place... Or at least something physical and living and can actually feel pain to punch. |

"We're too far from Tokyo to prepare something...and stopping just one of the contenders won't be enough, as the other two would fulfill their task anyway." Naja observed, after a long reflection. "Heh, how stupid I have been" she whispered. She didn't even consider who she was dealing with. The mysterious man that contacted her and brought her into that place she didn't know where it was. To be completely honest, she didn't even know the name of the man she dealt with. Maybe he wasn't even a man. "I've seen a man that wants to resurrect it, the one that proposed me the deal that I accepted. I made lots of mistakes, blinded by my ambitions" Ambitions that she was now forced to cast aside, or she might never try to fullfill again. "I have to admit I don't even know his name..." She stared into the distance. Repairing to so many mistakes might already cost too much. "We should strike at the core of the problem. But I have no way to bring you with me. The only way I know to reach the place where the other kings and the mastermind gather is by teleportation" a small pause "But I have no power over that...it's like only the man that organized the game and wants to revive the entity allows us there." Damn it, damn it all. Naja realized she had little to no chances on her side. How stupid she was. |

Really now? She went out of her way to look for help but there's no way to even do it in the first place? You know it really would've been fine if she'd just realized it sooner, she already got him all mentally ready and everything. ...Alright he could see she's actually pretty depressed about that, so much he couldn't even get annoyed at her about it. Though really, what was all that for then... ... "Well, this might not be much..." The young man said lightly, raising his hand above his shoulder- FLASH!!! -as a bright flash of light erupted in front of him, almost blindingly as he swiped his hand through it, and snatching a nodachi that had seemingly appeared out of thin air. Nearly as long as he was tall, sheathed in an aged looking scabbard with a couple of talisman randomly stuck onto it. Drawing the sword however would reveal a blade of pristine condition, silvery surface gleaming brightly in the sun. Oddly enough, there is an oddly ghastly vibe coming from it, almost similar to that of another contestant Naja had been talking about. Not that Seth would realize it. "Here," He said simply, handing the nodachi over to the woman. The moment she held it however, she would feel it weighing down on her considerably. Not physically, but it would do so on her feelings, her emotion and soul, so much that none with sufficiently powerful mentality or spirit would be able to even lift it. Not that Seth would realize it. "I dunno how much that's going to help, it's not even mine," He said, looking skeptical at his own attempt to assist her, though not for long before he had the confident smile back. "But like I said, trust in yourself for whatever you want to achieve. There is no more powerful thing in this world than true willpower," He still has time to give his speech...? |

That was...well, a surprise. Naja's eyes widened at the sight of that sword materializing out of thin air. It was long, and the talismans on its scabbard, clearly indicated its nature as a supernatural weapon. It was obvious, even before she moved a hand towards it. Humans...humans were a constant surprise. Some of them at the very least were. "Just...what is this?" She asked as she touched the hilt Seth just handed her. The closest thing to describe the sensation coming from it on her hand, wasl like a giant pillow crushed her and suffocated her inside it. Her breath stopped for a full second. Even without explainations, Naja realized it was an incredible weapon. It required a lot of willpower to grab it and take it away from the human that offered it to her. That was...quite a gesture: lending out something like that. She held the scabbard with the other hand. Even from it, she could feel the blade weighting on herself. "She raised her clear, sky colored eyes toward Seth with a strange light "It's a sign" she said, now bringing her right hand to the large pearl on her neck. "There's no other explaination. Meeting you was a sign." A sign that she probably was wrong all along. Humans were worth more than she thought. She began to understand why her race fell to the sidelines. Among them stood special individuals, capable of turning the tides against adversities, capable of opposing against oppressors and capable of selfless acts of trust. Not all of them were as ignorant as she thought. |

...Uh. "It's just a sword though..." As always, it was apparent that Seth didn't think one small thing could be so significant, the young man starting to get confused by her claims of him being a 'sign' and just... scratched his cheek meekly. Well... Actually hold on, isn't this contest thing supposed to be for those who wants their wish to change the world granted? Or at least, the four people she said are participating in this did have the wish. He wondered what exactly is her... ...Eh. Never mind, it wouldn't matter to him anyway. The boy retracted his train of thought with a short sigh of amusement to himself. "Well, glad you actually like it then," He said with a tone of finality, not really having anything else to add. He pulled down on the front of his blue knit cap, turning away from her as he started walking off. But not without shouting even more of his speech with extravagance, pointing a finger up to the sky. "The world is a big place! For as long as you have a dream, nothing is impossible! The next time we meet, allow me to see your dream coming to fruition!" ...Well, she did have the promise of an almighty wish broken, he just thought he'd cheer her up. |
