"...Your clearance checks out. Welcome, Mister Ferro." With a small salute, Abilio rolled up the window of the truck in which he sat, before waiting for the barrier before him to rise. It came to a stuttering halt, showing slightly the age of the technology. But, once it was up, Abe was able to drive on in, leaving a guard slightly bewildered by whom he thought he saw, but ultimately shook it off as he let the barrier fall once more. The day was long and hard enough already at these docks, he had no reason to make it any harder on himself. "Here we are then. I'll have to give your young CEO my thanks..." The brazilian spoke to one of the two young women that accompanied him. Her presence was largely for the sake of the deal they had, signified by the slightly faded sign of the GENCOM corporation overhead as they approached a ship that sat upon the waters. They were in Tokyo, largest metropolitan area in the world, certainly by population at least. And before them sat Tokyo bay, with ports that saw activity and business every hour of every day. He'd needed to get certain objects of interest into Japan, but without raising the so called proper authorities. And a company that regularly brought in large supplies and goods was just perfect for that sort of things. "Number 27... 29... 32..." His eyes scanned the sides of shipping containers as he drove along, wondering about the possibility that his cargo hadn't been unloaded off the ship yet. "49! There they are." He grinned as finally spotted that which he sought, and turned the wheel to bring his vehicle before the big red box that sat on the cement beside the shore. Abe was smiling as he switched the engine off, and then hopped from the cabin of the vehicle, quickly taking into a jog as soon as he landed. He moved along the outside of the vehicle, hands rifling through pockets, before pulling out a selection of keys. First he unlocked the back of the truck, opening the doors wide to behold the empty sace within. Second he unlocked the container, tossing aside the lock so hard that it flew into the waters of the bay. He threw the doors wide, and before him, there were a great deal of machines. They seemed simple in some aspects, boxes on bulky tripods, but sophisticated in orders, topped by strange antennas interlaced with countless cables. "...Come on, let's get these loaded up." Letting out a wistful sigh, Abe stepped inside and gestured for the others - especially the strange, silver haired one - to help out. Each of the devices alone would hold some difficulty in being lifted normally, in excess of several dozen - if not a few hundred - kilos each, but Abe was more than happy to do some joint lifting. "Never thought I'd be using Project Holodeck for quite such a thing, but hindsight's 20/20." He chuckled, reminiscing as he worked. |

One of the two who were accompanying Abe was Akane Kondou, who received orders directly from Kues to escort Abe and assist him in whatever he required. Despite being just one of the many members of the GENCOM Corporation, Kues seemed to have trusted her enough to inform her of all the details, or at least, as much of the details as Kues was aware about the whole King. "I am sure the CEO is thankful for the information regarding your contest. It looks as if she will personally see to it that Saigyouji has a difficult time." Which was exactly why Kues was not currently present. Rather than accompany Abe, Kues remained in Hyakuji, where Saigyouji was most likely to make her move. It looked as if the deal worked out well for Abe. Needless to say, as a security officer, Akane wasn't the type to stand around when there was a task to complete. Taking the lead, Akane silently approached the strange mechanical devices, and assuming one device didn't actually weigh several hundreds of kilograms, Akane would begin loading the truck. |

As soon as they made it to their destination, Elizabeth began recording a/v as well as taking in the sight. She had decided to help this strange man in hopes that he'd share some insight on technology he was going to be acquiring, possibly some better equipment. If anything really, Elizabeth's true intention was to learn about her competitions technology as well as using any sort of equipment she could to better her own companies systems. She stood behind Abe as opened the container, revealing its contents. Once the order was given, Elizabeth stepped in and began grabbing the equipment. She started grabbing the heavier ones and putting them towards the back of the truck, doing this with ease using her strength. "Is this the equipment you were referring to in our deal?" Elizabeth asked as she continued to move the stuff. She knew she wasn't here simply to lift equipment, seeing as this'd be an easy job using equipment. Elizabeth was in charge of security for her own company, so it may seem like she's doubling as a bodyguard of sorts. |

"Yeeeeep." Abe got to lifting alongside the maiden known by the name of Akane, whilst Elizabeth proved quite capable on her own terms in spite of the weight. Each device loaded up onto the truck managed to shake the vehicle a bit, but it still held up even as more and more were added on. It was as he made sure to shove some further in, to make sure they had enough space, that Abe addressed the unspoken parts of Liz' question. "Project Holodeck was gonna be years ahead of its time, and still is today, even if I'm gonna have to tweak it a bit on the way to get the desired effect out of it. But hey, the virtual reality pods you see all over for... card games, arcades, and all that, are just pale imitations of my original work. I know, I'm the one who put the source code out there online." Hopping out from the truck again to help continue with loading, the process took its time, but eventually, it was done. "Thank you for that ladies, and now, one of you is probably going to have to drive." Abe clapped his hands together, looking somewhat apologetic, but nevertheless clambering inside the truck again. He tossed the women the keys to both lock up the back and actually drive the vehicle, pulling up a stool he'd placed inside the big box on wheels, before placing his backside firmly on it. From there, he pulled a keyboard from a compartment within the nearest device, booted it up, and then began to type away. "Map's in the glove box, just open it, and follow the big red dots on it!" He yelled out as he typed well, the clicks perhaps slightly infuriating in their pace, but he wasn't about to stop or slow down. On the map, once it was found, would be several locations marked all across the 23 wards of Tokyo, some tall and iconic, whilst others low and fairly certain to be back alleys. It seemed to be a combination of both a tourist plan and an attempt to vaguely keep to a pattern. |

The conversation between the other girl Abe had brought along from the trip, and Abe himself did not particularly concern Akane, so she simply carried on with her task silently. She was briefly filled in what the job Kues wanted her to do consisted of, but did not know in any great detail what she was supposed to do. Fortunately, or unfortunately if Abe was the type to prefer sociable people, Akane was the type to simply do the job. Once all the devices had been loaded, Akane caught the key that Abe had thrown, a silent acceptance that she would drive. After locking up the back of the van, Akane got into the driver seat of the truck, and undid the glove box to reveal the map that was inside. From what Akane could see, it was as Kues had said, and that they would be setting up the devices around Tokyo. It seemed to be a straightforward job. After setting in the location of the first dot on the map into the navigation, Akane started the engine of the truck. Once everyone was on, Akane would simply just do as directed, and drive to the closest area that Abe had marked down. Certainly, some areas that were marked appeared to be in the more populated areas of Tokyo while others were in more secluded areas. Fortunately for Abe, Akane was far from the type to question orders. Maybe unfortunately, considering the ideals Abe actually held. |

Elizabeth listened to the man as he spoke, the man mentioning that he had made source code for others to use. "Yes, I found that quite interesting." Liz said, commenting on the material while also commenting on the knowledge humans had obtained with technology. For the most part, Elizabeth categorized beings she saw that had human elements as human, unless she had other information that would prove otherwise. Just a bit longer till the rest of the supplies were in the truck, Liz standing back and watching as his other assistant closed the truck and climbed into the cab. Elizabeth followed to the front, sitting in the passenger seat. Elizabeth had a look at the map as well, logging the information to an internal map she was compiling. This was a temporary map of course, a map she may use for reference was unsure. She'd enjoy the ride in silence unless she was spoken to, awaiting to arrive at their location so she can finish the job. |

Abe was quick to work, laughing at his old work, and fixing it up where it needed to be. One could hear him talk to himself rather loudly in back, referencing talks and revelations from long ago. The doubts his government had held about the viability of the project, and how far it had come since. The stumbling blocks that had been challenges to overcome, but well worth the effort for the progress they brought. First tests, the frustrating code, and problems that had stayed with the project when it died... Now solvable, thanks to a magic book he'd been surprised to ever pick up. He laughed at the irony, all on his own, under only light from the screens in front of him. "...Say, you two." Abe paused as they began to slow, though whether it was because of a traffic light, or because they were near a target destination, was hard to tell. It would clearly be something the two upfront would know. "You guys honestly have no objections to what we're doing here? I mean, I appreciate it, but I've had to debate people the last couple times I've done this stuff, so whilst refreshing, its a bit surprising too." Having done several of the devices already, he was free to get up and talk a bit, one hand against the side of the big box in which he stood, to stabilise himself. "You actually agree with me, or do you just really like the rewards I'm promising? ...Well, for your boss at least with one of you." Abe knew Akane's involvement was largely business, but it'd be interesting to see how she felt as well... |

Elizabeth kept facing forward while Abe spoke to them, using the rear view mirror to look at him. "What you do is none of my concern, I am merely agreeing for both the reward as well as personal interest," Liz stated, blinking once after speaking. Really she couldn't care less about what he was doing, as long as his work didn't interfere with hers. Although it might be near impossible for an outside source to communicate with her digital layer, there was a slim possibility given the unknown nature of powers on Earth. Even while on this job, Elizabeth continued to manage the digital layer. She didn't dedicate as much on it that she'd like to, but small things she could do. "I am co-owner of a business myself but I am merely here out of curiosity," Liz furthered a little, going silent afterwards. She'd easily get the job done, putting in the devices and getting back into the truck. A rather simple task though Elizabeth wasn't complaining. She would look back into the mirror once more, looking to Abe. "I do have to ask, what is your tie to technology? Do you have an affinity for technology? Your comprehension is quite above most individuals that I have studied." |

Akane brought the truck to a stop at the first point. She had listened to what Abe had asked the pair, and Elizabeth's answer. Unlike Elizabeth, Akane didn't answer until she had fully stopped the truck. Whether it was because she was focusing on the road, or for another reason was anyone's guess. "On a personal level, I disagree. As for the CEO, I cannot answer for her. She appears to be more interested in playing around with one of your competitors." In other words, Akane was simply doing this because it was her job, regardless of whether or not she agreed or disagreed with it. As for Kues, she was just trying to cause problems for Saigyouji, and helping Abe more or less served as a two birds with one stone deal. Kues gets information about their contest which she can use against Saigyouji, and at the same time gives one of Saigyouji's competitor's an upper hand. The reward was also a nice bonus. In other words, anything but logic was driving Kues's thought processes, so whether or not Kues actually did agree with anarchy or not probably didn't matter. Akane didn't waste time in beginning to set the co-ordinates of the next location, which is exactly what she did after she had given Abe her brief answer. "Once the device has been set, I will head towards the next nearing point." |

"So, self-interest wins out over ideals. Gonna be real interesting what happens to people like you, if I win." Not that Abe was about to launch into a rant about it to them, because frankly, he doubted it would get through. It was the way most people were - they went with the status quo and followed the system, rather than use their supposed freedom to choose to make reality what they believed in. Or maybe not so much what they even believed in, but just wanted to do. Which, in Abe's case, was setting up those ever strange devices, part of so called 'Project Holodeck'. Didn't take too long really, certainly not with Elizabeth's assistance to help get things into position. One key thing Abe made sure of however, was to both get a tarp over the thing - thus hiding it from obvious view - as it rested in an alley, but also that it responded as he clicked a small remote that he drew from his pockets. There was a brief flash of lights from under the tarp, and giving the device a light pat, he smiled as he made his way back into the truck. "What, you wondering if I 'talk to machines' or something? That maybe I have my brain tied to the internet for info?" Abe answered Elizabeth with a played up, spoooooky voice, even as he set in for the drive to the next location. "Sorry to disappoint, but the answer's pretty mundane. I studied, stayed in school, and then pursued my interests. I mean... okay, I got sponsorship for my place after figuring out how to make a TV for myself in the favelas when I was a kid. Family couldn't afford one, but I kept hearing about these cartoons coming in from overseas, and I wanted to watch him. So, I made sure I could." He explained as he began to work on getting more of the devices ready, knowing he'd only have so long before they arrived at the next point. "And heck, whilst I'm fairly smart generally I'd say, I'm really more a man for computers and programming than say, rocket science." Abe was a bit smug about it, but he was proud of what he could do. "What, am I so smart that you have to try and somehow explain it away with superpowers? Figures, for a Hyakujian." But he nevertheless found the whole situation quite amusing, it would seem. |

"Self-interest triumphs over everything; it is the curiosity that killed that cat after all." Liz spoke, continuing to look forward as she gave the reply. Although one would expect an AI to follow rules and ideals, it didn't mean that an AI wasn't curious. Elizabeth was no exception to this, fulfilling her curiosity within reason. She wouldn't pursue information if she was denied it, unless of course she won't be found out by poking around. She was brought to Earth at an excellent time, Earth well within the digital information age. Were she to stay back home, she may have had more trouble accessing information compared to that of Earth. Abe began to explain his affinity with technology as they went around setting up the devices, Elizabeth doing this with relative ease. She looked to him the entire time as he spoke, blinking every now and again. After he explained himself, he resent her questioning, believing it to be that of a Hyakujian. "I am not soliciting for a connection between your knowledge and superpowers. In truth, I believe everything to be explained with science. My logic was not programmed with magic, but with science. I am merely curious as to your aptitude in regards to technology. Please forgive me if my questioning assumed otherwise." |

It probably wouldn't be correct to say that Abe and Elizabeth seemed to be getting on, since that seemed to be the last thing they were doing. Well, they weren't exactly not getting along either. The word, they could be getting along a lot better was probably the most suitable for this scenario. Although, their conversation had absolutely nothing to do with Ayane. While Elizabeth was there to satisfy her curiosity, Ayane was here to carry out a job. She held no interest in what Abe's goals were, or what his affiliation with technology was. In other words, it was a good thing that Elizebeth was entertaining Abe. It saved Ayane from having much involvement, which was how she preferred things. Once the devices were set up, and the two were back in the truck, Ayane would begin for the next destination, slowing down, and giving them some sort of obvious signal that they were at the next point. |

"Who programs logic with magic anyway? That's stuff more for flying about, throwing spells, or... altering reality." The end of his remark left Abe drifting off a bit. He shook his head, muttered a few things under his breath, and then raised his voice again. "Look, just get me to the rest of the spots. Once we're done here, you get the rest of your money, and then you can go home. I also recommend telling anyone you care about to stay away from Tokyo for... quite a while." Getting back to his work, he decided to give the two some fair warning. His choice would be his own, and maybe a couple souls spared might ease his conscience a bit. [To Be Continued] (OOC: Sorry for cutting short, but moving into the next phase) |
