Hyakuji 2.0 Template

Character Name: 14-XC-R27V1038 or Nasir Abd-Al-Qadir

Gender: Male

Age: 29

Height: 5’ 9”

Weight: 146 pds.

Description or Image of Character Appearance:

Posted Image

Occupation: Ursalian Safe House Manager, Network Security Expert, Hacker

Grade Level: None

Powers/ Abilities:

Internal Rig: Nasir has an internalized set of cybernetics that massively enhance his his ability to interface with machines and software. His body is filled with spinal modems, data ports, memory and interfacing hardware along with other components that essentially make him a walking supercomputer. The only external evidence of this are a few metallic bumps on the side of his head under his hair and a partially internalized pair of wires that emerge from the back of his skull. The wire is pulled from a hatch of false flesh on the back of his skull where he keeps it until it is necessary. One plug is standard USB, the other is a non standard head that is standard among Ursalian technology.

This system allows him to react far faster than anyone on a analog input system using any type of rig. It also allows him to have a far more immediate sense of the state of things when it comes to software and the overall security of networks and assists him when protecting servers and assaulting them.

The main disadvantage of this system is that he cannot actually used his computing systems unless attached to a rig or network that he, or Ursalia, has designed to be compatible with his system. He can’t attack a standard server only with his internal computing, but if he plugs into his computer he can.

ICE and ICEbreakers: Due to his upbringing in Ursalia Nasir’s virtual security and combat programs work a bit differently than standard. As according to standard Ursalian protocol with cyber security his programs can be sorted into either ICE or ICEbreakers.
ICE are mostly defensive countermeasures that require massive amounts of computing, funds and server space to run but they can protect the network of entire corporations. Divided beyond that they are either Barriers, which are generally extremely strong but hold no defensive properties beyond simply blocking off an attack, Code Gates, which usually entrap a hacker and lock them down in the layers of network security, or Sentries, which are usually malicious semi-AIs which either trace the hackers location and damage their rig, or their brain if they are plugged in in the same manner Nasir is.

ICE-Breakers are programs created to assault server defenses, in Ursalia they are used to attack ICE, but they work fine against other programs in the wider world. ICEbreakers can be run on extremely powerful computers such as Nasir’s personal rig and his internal rig. The main difference between what type of ICE they are suited for which isn’t of much concern in the wider world. It is important to note that none but the most powerful ICEbreakers or self destructing ICEbreakers actually damage server defenses. Most ICEbreakers simply temporarily disable or slip past server defenses to the hacker, or runner in Ursalian terms, access whatever is in the server and destroy it, corrupt it, etc. Sentry killer ICEbreakers kill sentries, they usually overpower or snip away at security, forcing them temporarily inactive. Code Gates basically falsify access commands and are capable of fooling servers and security to who is coming in. Fracterers make small, unnoticible cracks in security protocols and slip through in what is mistaken for as a small code inefficiency. The final type are AIs, which basically adapt to and force server security to obey them, Nasir has no access to AI ICEbreakers.

To a modern, or even highly advanced, programmer the code for ICE and ICEbreakers is utterly unreadable, Ursalia has been isolated from the world for so long and is so ahead of everyone else that their code language is too tangential to be readable. In addition Ursalian code requires some very specific hardware to host it which has to be custom designed away from the colony itself.

Imprinted Loyalty: As humans produced via a population order Nasir was subjected to personality and loyalty imprinting through both direct and subliminal messaging. As per his gene stock Nasir took the imprinting extremely well and took in all messaging with 98.874% retention and remained malleable to it for a period of time that was statistically above average.

As such Nasir can reliably resist any mental, hypnotic, and or compulsory forces that would make him reveal any information about Ursalian tech, culture, location, or individuals. He has also been installed with a set of ‘stun phrases’ from his implanting that mentally paralyze him if stated. These phrases are know to higher up members of his organization, Cyber Prime Industires, a political faction in Ursalia

Equipment You Have:

The Obelisk A supercomputer that is a supercomputer to other supercomputers. This massive rig is currently in Nasir’s home and utterly immobile, it hosts all his ICEbrekaers and other programs and features custom Ursalian hardware. It can only be used via an internal computing system with his biological imprints.
The Obelisk

White Tiger .40: A large pistol from the White Tiger corporation, a major player in Ursalian politics. As a safe house owner Nasir is expected to have a gun, though it never leaves the drawer in his dresser.

Other living supplies

Small board game collection

Residency Request: Downtown flat in Business District

Schedule: N/A

Personality Description:

-Cyber Prime Bureau of HR Development-

-File: 14-XC-R27V1038-

-Subject: Final Evaluation of Imprinted Personality-

As expected from gene strain 14 the noted subject of Population Order XC, named R27V1038, took very well to the imprinted personality type. As was determined in Population Order XC by the Statistical Bureau of HR production two of the 14 strain in this batch needed personality type 13 and 14-XC-R27V1038 and 14-XC-R38V998 were assigned type 27 and 38 personalities respectively.

As noted earlier in his file 14-XC-R27V1038 took on his imprinting with 98.874% as expected. His personality type allows an acceptable level of creativity and a relatively large amount of independence, as is necessary of a programmer produced to serve as a safehouse operator in Hyakuji, Japan. He acts with a sense of authority and confidence that is professional. His loyalty imprinting has ensured he will show deference to Ursalian Collaborative and Cyber Prime ranking members. He is capable of a degree of friendship and camaraderie, but will never pursue these or accept these relationships beyond friendly professional terms, and even then he errs on the side of coldness.
As per standard the final imprinting was made at age 20 and we expect only a slight shift from this personality, as is to be expected with 14 strains with a type 27 personality.

Personal History:

-Cyber Prime Industries: Branch of HR Production, Development, Training, and Calculation-

-File: 14-XC-R27V1038 - “Nasir Aldom”-

-Brief Production and productivity Overview-

During year [REDACTED] Cyber Prime CEO and lead researcher, [REDACTED], approved the request of Dr. Johnson, Chairperson of the Statistical Bureau of HR Production, to initiate production order XC which would create a new labor generation for Cyber Prime Industries. While the order primarily focused on producing class IV production personnel, 4 class VI research staff were produced with two slated for operations/ management roles, 14-XC-R27V1038 was one of the two and was slated for operations work.

He was raised and hosted in Compound 35 under manager Kriestoph Oberton. In his earlier years he took extremely well to his determined role and showed high efficancy in ICE and ICEbreaker production and use as was expected for his gene line. He passed his inspection at age 8 and was therefore not bioharvested, it must be noted that this year was very promising for the 14 line and as such Dr. Johnson order production of a 29th gene line that will replace the 14 line within two years.

14-XC-R27V1038 showed no signs of rebelliousness and accepted all imprinted personality traits with expected efficiency and showed 99.7% weakness to implanted stun words. At age 12 he was installed with a Larimov-19X cybernetic computer, the best model available at the time. His biology suitably morphed to accept and integrate with the system and as such his biological system is suitably integrated since the morphological compounds in his body before puberty led to full nervous integration with the system.

At age 15 he expressed an acceptable level of interest in ICE production and showed anticipated results. The independant birth of this desire to craft ICE, and later ICEbreakers was expected within +/- two months of a date one month later and as such showed the legendary stability of the 14 gene line. The independence personality trait in his gene line led him to an interest in high level strategic games, and more specifically board games, one of the three options of variation expected in his gene line

With this scripted display of productivity Dr. [REDACTED], Cyber Prime’s ambassador to Ursalian Collaborative labs, accepted Dr. [REDACTED]’s standing request to accept 14-XC-R27V1038 into Cyber Prime’s operation personnel for Ursalian Collaborative labs. 14-XC-R27V1038 was assigned to operate a safehouse and provide cyber aggression and defense resources for Ursalian operatives throughout Japan, as was determined when Population Order XC was issued.

14-XC-R27V1038 shows a predicted level of success and is currently seeking employment for his cover identity in Japan.

Deapproving for the moment. There are backstory issues that we need to discuss in staff regarding this "Ursalia"

Alright we've had a talk in the Staffroom and there's a few issues here.

1: You detail very very little on Ursalia in this profile. In order for us to approve the sudden materialization of an entire nation, we need a lot more detail than is provided. Where is it? How long has it been in existence? How does it function entirely on it's own, in a globalized world? How does it impact the world? So on, so forth.

2: We need a reason to exist outside of existing solely for this character to exist.

3: Even with all that, I'm not going to lie, there's no guarantee we'd accept the creation of this country. There's only so much space on earth.

2. A reason for this to exist outside of the character: I'm not exactly sure what you mean by this exactly. If you mean "Does it enhance the story/ enrich the world?" I think it does. With all the heroes running around the world and such I thought it was odd no group of people had just said "F- it, we're making our own country" when they found heroes constantly crashing in on their evil scientist plans. I also think it is a relatively interesting kind of background element. Multiple corporations have mysteriously disappeared before justice was entirely delivered and formed a micro-nation, it represents and epitomizes the higher ups fear and desire to escape those watching below. Plus with a world like Hyakuji it is odd their isn't really a dystopia place.

Beyond that I must admit I'm at a loss for reason except to plead to precedents. People have created ancient orders of alchemists and wizards, martial artists, powerful, yet unnoticed mad scientists, all for the sake of their personal characters. Many of those back stories contain evil corporations and underground experiments, wouldn't the corporations eventually just decided to create a Rapture of their own?

3.So Much Space: Ursalia is a technologically bent micro nation smaller than Rhode Island. Look at the Ursalia in general tab to see the answer.

The staff has discussed this in some depth and the general consensus is that this is still too large. The scale of this is too massive. You compare it to rapture but it's still a small country, and just because you shrink it with a shrink ray doesn't change that fact. Rapture was a large city, and nothing more, so that argument doesn't work. As a company this is feasible. As a city it's less so but still possible.

I thank the entirety of the staff for allowing this to have discussion rather than reject it out of hand.

I've reduced Ursalia to metropolis size (more specifically to the size of the given example, Rapture) Hopefully that brings it into the realm of acceptable probability.
