Link: Blind Date Pairings Hyakuji High, Cafeteria 13th of February, 17:00 Each of the students who had signed up would have received a notice at the start of the school day informing them that the blind date would be held at the cafeteria after classes at 17:00 (5pm) on that day. They wouldn't know the actual results of the blind date until they arrived at the cafeteria. The students who arrived at the cafeteria for the blind date were greeted by a member of the Student Council. The member of the Student Council would then give each student a piece of paper with a number written on. The cafeteria was arranged with numbers placed on the each table. The students were told to go over to and take a seat on the table with their number written on. The cafeteria was very busy, with some people sitting at their table waiting for their blind date whereas others were already talking to their date for the day. Hiriko and Jonny would both have the number eleven (11) written on their card, and would be paired together for the blind date. [OOC] You are free to do whatever you want during the blind date. You can leave the school, and go downtown. If you have any questions, feel free to PM them to me. |

Reading one of her favorite manga's, Solanin while she waited for her date to arrive, really calmed her nerves. In fact anything she had to distract herself from thinking of event's like this was relaxing. She wasn't too sure about the high tops Miyoko had suggested at first, since most of the time she wore mary-jane flats. But she came to realize they were extremely comfortable, even though it would take some time for her to get used to walking in them. The teal-haired girl sighed softly, she heard a small rumor on her way to sign-up that Shirena signed up also... Thinking of possibly getting paired up with him, made her visibly flustered with embarrassment. She was already crazy for him. Edited by Hiriko, Feb 14 2014, 03:20 PM.

Unfortunately for Hiriko, in more ways than one, her date really wasn't the guy she was hoping for. Shirena had white hair, the young man approaching her table had brown hair. Shirena's eyes were dark, perhaps brown or red depending on lighting, whilst the fellow that waved hello on reaching the table, had eyes that shined green. Shirena was native Japanese, and his words reflected it, where when the new person said, "Hi," their accent gave off a slight twinge that indicated a foreigner, however fluent. The main similarity it would seem, was a propensity for red in clothing, as the young man who met Hiriko wore a long sleeved, bright red shirt, covered by a jacket. "The name's Jonny Desmond. A pleasure - and if not for you, then I'll certainly work on it." Settling himself into a seat, Jonny leaned in slightly as he tried to take in what seemed like a good look of the girl, before nodding his head in approval. "Yes... definitely a pleasure for me so far. Valentine's just not the same if it isn't with a cutie, you know?" He had quite a smile, even as it turned slightly from tilting his head to get a better look at what Hiriko had been reading in her hands. "So... la... nin. Good book?" Head soon perking upright again, the boy smiled as he awaited an answer, before speaking up again. "Guess you couldn't find a date if you tossed yourself in for this? Curious, I would say, that the boys of the school can't see quality before their own eyes." |

She seemed extracted from everything that was going on around her. Hiriko was more preoccupied by the manga she was holding in her palms. Motioning a little wave, once she felt a presence near her. Not really paying attention to what he was saying, until he estimated why she had signed up, for something as anonymous and mysterious as this. "Guess you couldn't find a date if you tossed yourself in for this? Curious, I would say, that the boys of the school can't see quality before their own eyes." A nervous shiver crawled down her spine, making her jolt upright in position... Blushing feverishly, she hid herself even more inward into her book. "Curiosity yes...b-but I-I wouldn't r-really say...t-that..!" Once Hiriko regained her composure, she murmured ever so silently, to him. Whilst looking at him for a brief moment. "I-I'm Hiriko by..the way...." To her disappointment, her date wasn't Shirena... then again, what were the odds of that happening anyway? She thought bitterly. Than again, this was an opportunity she couldn't pass up... Not just for meeting other guys, but for making other potential friends at this school. Smiling shyly, she asked with a more confidant tone in her voice. "So..Jonny is it? What do you do...? I mean...are you in any school clubs?" |

Jonny smirked in response to the reaction he drew from the girl, playfully flicking at the book in which she so deeply hid her face for obvious reasons. "I would though, given its true." Resting his head down his arm, Jonny tilted his head and lightly stared at the girl as he gave her the chance to calm down, and finally, introduce herself. "Hiriko... thinking, thinking..." The lad muttered several times under his breath, even as Hiriko spoke and tried to ask him a question. His fingers rapped along the surface of the table several times, before finally, realisation. "...Means generous child. Well, I hope you're generous with me~" Jonny teased, laughing slightly, before stopping with a shake of his head and leaning back in his chair. "As to clubs... Not really, not the kind of person to... dedicate myself to one thing, really. Though, could always make exceptions..." He gave a suggestive shrug, before leaning on the table slightly so as to try and pull at the manga if he could. "And what about you? There a manga club about, or...? Well, suppose it'd be just the general comics club, wouldn't it? Gotta remember I'm not in Britain anymore." He seemed mildly amused by the quirks, as if he was new to the notion. "What do you do in your free time? Maybe something we could go out and do right now?" Jonny leaned in again, tilting his head further. |

Why? Why in the world did she have to end up with someone who... She probably had zero compatibility with? He was everything she was not. He was carefree and confident, while she was shy and cautious. Though since Hiriko didn't really have the guts to call the date off, this is where her excellent patience, would really pay off. Putting her book back in her bag, she gave him a half almost full smile, along with a slight chuckle as he made a comment involving the meaning of her name. Hiriko stayed silent, occasionally having eye-contact with him once in awhile, but for the most part keeping to herself. Until she saw an opening, as she wasn't one to interrupt...She spoke with a more steady tone unlike before. "Well there isn't a general comic club in this club, so no. But um...I got myself involved in the Hyakuji band not too long ago..." As he leaned in, she found herself reclining a backwards a slight bit,not so much where she could fall off her chair though. A rosy hue began soak into her cheeks, as he asked yet another question, before suggesting that they go out together. Feeling already uncomfortable as it is, she had an instinct welled up deep inside of her, where she wanted to say no. But with her kind and pathetic nature, she nodded in agreement. "Well besides reading and creating m-manga u-um.... I do enjoy-" Don't say it! Her conscious seemed to repeat to her, staying quiet for a peak moment, she improvised. "I-I enjoy checking out new places that I haven't really been too..." Putting her two index fingers on the side of her forehead, she said her thought out loud. "Like the noodle house for example..." At least she did something, right for once... Edited by Hiriko, Feb 20 2014, 08:00 PM.

"A band?! Seriously?! That's really-! ...Oh... wait, you used past tense." Jonny had raised his head like an excited kitten, only to then come down again as realisation kicked in. Still, he shrugged it off soon enough as Hiroko continued their conversation, occasional nods indicating that he was indeed still tuning in. He appeared to hang on every word, letting his little gestures try to nudge the girl along, in case her confidence wasn't enough on its own... And then smirked as she revealed her habit to explore new places. "You don't say eh? Bet it doesn't just stop with noodle shops either..." Jonny leaned in real close now, before suddenly rising to his feet, picking up his bag and throwing it over his back. "How about I show you some of the best spots in the city then? I've been here for three years now, so I know it pretty well, y'know?" He extended his hand to the girl, waiting for her to take it. And if she wasn't quite as receptive as one might hope... "...Come on, its Valentine's Day. Give me a chance at least, please?" Jonny turned on the puppy dog eyes, his expression purely dedicated to pleading with the girl for a shot at taking her to see what Hyakuji was really like. |

When his head rose up, it made her redden slightly and giggle in natural reluctance. Though once it seemed he lost his interest, she flailed her hands in front of her. "N-no..! I didn't mean for it too come out like that.. I am actually...still in it.. Even if she knew that it didn't matter if he knew if she was still actively in something or not, she still proceeded to clarify this fact. Then again, the one thing she didn't know is, how long she was going to last in a club so vast. As he came in close proximity to touching her lips, her violent - pink eyes stood wide with sudden surprise. Her face almost resembling the color of a tomato, soon fading as he withdrawn, and stood up. When he extended out his hand, Hiriko felt insecure as she was unsure of what to do with it. Though when he gave him that pitiful look, begging her to accept it and come with him... Guilt rushed through her heart, and that was when she knew she couldn't simply say no. Gently aligning her hand with his, she smiled softly. "I guess it wouldn't hurt, too stay for awhile..." Edited by Hiriko, Feb 24 2014, 07:22 PM.

And Jonny took the girl's hand, smiling as he led her on, and away from the school... Rather than the noodle house, the Brit had opted for a bit more 'traditional' (at least in one culture) approach to going around on Valentine's day - namely, shopping, snacks, and restaurants. The approach was relatively simple really - any and all indulgences or luxuries that Hiriko might desire, even on a basic whim, he would pay for. From time to time, he indulged himself as well, whether it was buying ice cream or a flashy new jacket, but the clear focus of the spending would be the young lady. And he'd be rather insistent about it too, even if she might have objections to the overspending on her behalf. Eventually though, he'd make way for Izanai Park, stopping by the fountain to catch a break, and rest on a nearby bench. "So then... we covered the arcade... the high street... the game stores... subarashii restaurant..." He laid down the bags he had been carrying along with him, stretching his arms upwards and allowing a small peek at his belly where his shirt lifted up with the action. "You have a good time? Wanted to make sure you got to see as much of the city as possible, which in one day, is a lot, trust me. Glad you managed to keep up." The boy wiped some sweat that had been forming upon his brow, before widening his eyes in delight as he caught sight of a nearby vending machine. "...Want a drink? Last treat of the day - promise!" Jonny asked, clearly willing and likely to get up and pay for whatever the girl asked if she spoke her mind in such a fashion. |

Surprised? More like... impressed! To be truthful, the expectations she had coming from him were extremely low. Somehow, he managed to surpass them! Spoiling her with the love she had for sweets as they walked about, leaving her definitely stuffed for the evening. Hiriko nodded and kept on smiling as he asked the usual questions, whether or not she was enjoying herself. Her quench for thirst was evident as her voice cracked when she refused. "N-no thank you, you have done enough for me al-already...!" Her face immediately was flushed with embarrassment. Beginning to visibily shake and chuckle softly. "I'm so sorry it's just, i've never really b-been treated l-like this b-before...I'm n-not used to something like t-this..." Edited by Hiriko, Mar 2 2014, 10:10 PM.

"That'll be a yes." Jonny 'corrected' the young woman as he made a choice for anyway, but clearly kept to something simple and neutral - good old H2O. There was a slight whir from the machine as it dispensed two bottles after the correct amount of money was placed in, and the boy went to pick them up. He listened to Hiriko explain why she would seem so embarrassed by all this, and merely smiled as he extended one of the bottles to her. "Is that a good thing, or a bad thing?" He gave a light smile before plopping himself down beside her, twisting the cap off his own bottle as he did so. "Because, I don't know about here, but where I come from, men are still expected to be gentlemen, and treat their fair ladies properly." He chuckled, keeping a slight air of mystery about how serious he was, before taking a few small sips. The gulps from his throat broke up his talking, but after letting out a nice and relaxed sigh, he continued. "So even as a date for but a day, I decided to make sure it was best day you could ever have with a guy. How well did I do?" And as he asked his question, a free hand would gently pat its way along to try and find Hiriko's hand, and try to lightly take hold of it... |

Realizing how thirsty she was, she wasn't afraid to get carried away by gulping down almost half the bottle of fresh water. Occasionally Hiriko would take breaks and nod in response to one of his questions, before stuttering out. "Y-yes...I mean no... I don't really know if it's a good thing or bad thing really...So i'm g-guessing it is a-um good t-thing?" Hearing his kind yet solid accented voice made her feel comfortable and, made butterflies flutter in her stomach all at the same time. As he sat beside her, being that she was a rather shy and seclusive sort of girl, she tended to avoid eye contact with him. In fear that she would get so nervous she would disappear, or that he would notice her blushing. Grinning softly and quietly nodding once in awhile to acknowledge him that she was indeed listening. As he spoke to her once again, asking her yet again one of his questions... A strange tingling sensation rose up her spine, as she could feel his hand coming into close contact with hers. Her cheeks rubicund, she muttered out so quietly only he could hear, "You did...well amazing...!" Chuckling softly she added, "Though I wish I could have treated you also..." Boldly, she slowly slid her hand towards his, touching his knuckles, and fingers. What was she doing? No, what the hell was she thinking? Edited by Hiriko, Mar 20 2014, 03:05 PM.

"I'm glad you think so highly of me..." Jonny's fingers interlocked themselves with Hiriko's own, affirming his grip briefly as he smiled. "But I think you're selling yourself a bit short, no?" And then... lightly flicked at her nose with his finger, before lightly bringing that same finger back down to gently tap the center of the girl's face. "After all, any gentleman knows that it is truly a treat to be in the presence of a beautiful young lady... And I've had yours for an entire day, now haven't I?" As he spoke, he began to lean in slightly, lowering his finger in a motion that would have it brush over the girl's lips. "But, there might be one thing you could do, right here and now... that would equal all the things I have done for you this day. Can you guess?" Closer and closer, he came, Jonny's hold on the girl's hand likely to keep her close if she tried to draw back... Before he pulled back his finger, and went for the kiss. Not a mere peck on the cheeks, but nothing quite to intimate either, as he tried to lock lips for several seconds, and then pulled back. "So? Fair trade?" He asked, his voice sounding somewhat... 'eager', now. |

My first kiss... Stolen Her heart was racing, it felt as if it were beating out of her chest. Hiriko's eyes were wide-open through the whole ordeal, and as she attempted to pull away it was no use. Clearly startled, at last minute she mustered all her strength and got her hand out of his mangling grip. His calm and comforting green eyes, were now threatening to her. As he spoke his accent was still the same, though his tone was longing for something more. Something she didn't want to find out. Being that her nerves were going crazy, her body slowly began to disappear in front of him. This was her chance, and she would use it to her full advantage. "U-um, I d-don't know w-what you mean by full trade, but... I-I got to go!" Hiriko then began to run, as far as she could away from him. She was a girl that longed for romance yes, but she was also a girl that had innocence. Making her reasonably vulnerable, which she didn't worry about before. Panting she turned her head for a second to check if he was behind her,Without realizing she was running straight into a rock. It felt as if she were flying in mid air for only a moment, before collapsing on the pavement scraping her knee's so badly, they bled in the process. Tears started pouring out of the corner of her eyes, usually she wasn't one to easily cry but... Today, happened to be that one exception. She was such an idiot...!
