"Alright then." Tyzal had his suspicions, but he wouldn't presume too much until he got a good look in. Seeing as the Foxes appeared not to insist that he gain one of their particular uniforms, he briefly took to a corner of the room as the others were outfitted, observing the intricacies of the process. It was interesting to see how they did try in earnest to make uniforms fit to custom demands, though he imagined it couldn't be an easy, or even necessarily perfect, process. Star Force had an advantage in that the wave change was in effect a natural change, and being based on a person's own biology, the result could fit no more than a person's own skin could fit themselves.

There was something he learned here as well, that did explain a few more of the oddities surrounding this conflict, whilst raising some more questions that made him curious. They had an actual treaty about keeping the conflict from being a lethal endeavour, which was... curious. Most species, especially those on making violent first contact, wouldn't have been able to make the diplomatic steps necessary for such a development. And whilst he wouldn't doubt that a bunch of space bunnies and foxes would be capable of the improbable, he did have to wonder if that meant the relationship between these two sides went deeper... Perhaps even more than their own soldiers knew.

From there though, Tyzal discovered how it was they were to reach the battlefield, and it was as he suspected. Ships. Somehow built and fitted into a hastily constructed hangar, just as with the other side, even if the size and number differed a bit.
Such similar enemies...
"Any battlefield suitably far from the Earth, or its territories, will be a bit beyond visible range for it. I mean... you might make out a slightly brighter twinkle? Like Venus in your sky." Tyzal decided to point out, though he imagined that, unless the foxes were confessing to having an active fleet within the system, which would open up a whole other nightmare for him, it'd probably be an interstellar trip.

"So we taking the one, or all of them?" Tyzal asked with regards to the ships.

Ryou tensed as Katina helped him with his suit, barely daring to move as the nine-tails walked around him. When she took his hand to help shape his claws, he realized he was holding his breath, and slowly exhaled through his mouth, trying to make it seem natural. He doubted that it worked. A human might not have noticed it, but a kitsune who was standing this close to him would have been able to hear his breathing. Especially a nine-tails. He inhaled tentatively through his nose and suddenly wished that he hadn't. Her scent was everywhere.

The young kitsune looked down and flexed his fingers, pretending he was examining his gloves. He really hoped his voice didn't shake as he spoke, clenching and unclenching his fists. "It feels a little strange, but I think I'll get used to it," he said, realizing that Katina might be expecting him to speak. "Ah--thank you." And there was that annoying blush again. Ryou certainly hoped she didn't see that. Oddly enough, he found himself both relieved and disappointed as she walked away.

He grit his teeth as she mentioned no fatal wounds, but kept his thoughts to himself. Of course, it wasn't as if Ryou was walking into this with the intention of actually killing any rabbits, but he was a young fox, and that hunting instinct was going to be a pain to suppress. He had a difficult enough time with Natsuki at the ramen shop sometimes, and there was only one of her. Still...if he stepped out of line and got in trouble with Katina...and Katina then went to the forest and told his own Kyuubi what he had done...

Ryou reminded himself how much he liked living, and nodded, following the others into the hangar. The kitsune stared at the ships with a look of apprehension, although he said nothing. They were built by his own kind, so they should be safe for him, but he'd never thought about actually leaving the earth before. Underneath all that, though, he found himself excited. At the end of the day, this was an adventure, and a chance to prove himself to a powerful kitsune, and maybe getting some fried tofu at the end of it for his trouble.

Assuming he didn't mess up first.

(OOC: Skipping Phantom since he’s nowhere to be found, if anyone knows what happened to him please let me know! x_x)

“You’ll only need one ship kon, the others will remain here. And unless you have some kind of super sight you won’t be able to see the Earth or its moon from another sector kon.” Katina pursed her lips slightly, seemingly annoyed by Xie’s inquiry. Fortunately Runelle’s questions were more professional, and that did well to impress the space fox admiral. “Then this Archmage Caviti L'kars is a wise person kon. Do not worry, you will be briefed on everything we know when you rendezvous with the fleet. Now if there isn’t anything else, follow Sargent Tina on board. Good hunting kon.”

With that the admiral walked off, but not before winking suggestively at Ryou, and Tina took over. “Now follow me if you will, there isn’t time to lose kon.” She made her way onto the space craft as the roof of the hangar opened up to reveal the afternoon sky. The interior of the ship was pretty small, there were several seats behind the main pilot’s chair and a small storage space, but that’s about it. Once everyone was seated Tina started up the engines and the ship took to the skies, rising up through the air and atmosphere until the view screen was filled with the vast expanse of space.

“Welcome to space kon, now give me a moment here while I lock in our co-ordinates… and done.” After pressing a few keys on her console a feminine voice could be heard coming from the ship.

“Jumpdrive charging at 10%... 30… 50%... 70… 90... Jumping kon.”

A flash of white light filled the view screen followed by a sudden lurch that pressed everyone on board into their seats. When the Hyakujians next looked out the view screen, they would see quite an impressive fleet with hundreds of ships, including about a dozen capital ships.Tina flew the ship towards one of the larger ships in the fleet, and soon the massive ship filled the view screen. “GFE Berry Ascension, this is Terran Transporter Alpha, requesting permission to dock kon.”

“ Permission granted Terran Transporter Alpha, proceed to docking bay C. Welcome home kon.”

“Thank you, it’s good to be home kon.” A little while later they touched down inside the Foxian capital ship. When the landing ramp lowered, there was a large number of space foxes crowded outside, most of them female surprisingly. They seemed to be very excited to see the Earthlings though, and some of the fox people at the back were even jumping up to get a better view. In fact, if it weren’t for Tina coming down to disperse the crowd it was likely that they would have rushed the Hyakujians like they were celebrities of some sort.

“Please don’t mind them, it’s very rare to see outsiders around here so they tend to get a little excited kon. This way please.” The sergeant led the group through a series of corridors and into a room dimly lit by a round glowing platform in the center. A young male was waiting there, and he looked up when he heard the door open. “There you are kon. Everyone gather around, we don’t have much time.”

When everyone was settled in the male fox pressed a button and a holographic projection of a lush planet appeared from the glowing platform. “Your first mission will take place on Centauri Prime in the Proxima System. There’s an UBF resupply station on the planet, and apparently it’s an important carrot farm for the bunnies in this sector kon.” He pressed another button and the projection of the planet was replaced with one of a sleek looking train with bunny ears at the head and a series of rail lines all converging on a central point “Supplies are transported via high speed rail from the various farms on the planet to a central processing station before it’s shipped off planet. The farms and stations themselves are heavily guarded kon, but there are sections of the rail that are vulnerable to attack.” The projection zoomed in on one such section located on an open grassland. “Your task will be to conduct a raid on the train at this location kon. We have a scout team on planet already with a jump beacon in place. They are under radio silence right now, but will make contact and provide more up to date intel once you arrive kon. Any questions?”

(OOC: Sorry for the delay. Again)

"Just the one then..." Tyzal muttered under his breath as he approached and boarded the ship, following the fox who lead the way. He ducked a bit to make sure he could fit, before finding a seat, and strapping himself in. He'd chosen a seat close to the pilot's, hoping to look over their shoulder and get a good look at the controls as she fired everything up. It would give him a good idea of what inputs corresponded to certain responses, which might come in handy in future. As another bonus, he'd be about to see just what it was that the foxes used to escape the limits of the speed of light, a key factor for most spacefaring species...

He was anxious then as the ship first rose, and then took off towards the heavens above. Okay, something that couldn't be used within atmosphere, which meant something perhaps like...
"A jump system..." The possibility that it was just a translation but not factually accurate was possible, but Tyzal doubted that a second later, as he was thrown back into his seat. Oh yeah, self-propelled at ridiculous speeds offset only by inertial dampening - jump system all right. He caught himself when the ship dropped back into normal speeds, catching sight of the fleet that waited just outside.

Yep... big fleet. He was right to try and get these people to keep their conflict from Earth proper.

Shaking his head to clear a small bit of dizziness, Tyzal unbuckled himself and moved to leave the ship, met by the crowd of foxes that awaited them.
"Don't have too many relations I guess..." His eyes wandered a bit, noticing that it was indeed all foxes to be seen. Was humanity their first, well, first contact outside of the bunnies?
"So, the idea is to disrupt their supply lines..." Tyzal was curious as to how such an operation would be conducted without any fatalities, but they'd just have to see, now wouldn't they?

"I take it this isn't their home system either... just how big is bunny space? Have they got more than you?" The question was posed as a query into how much of an uphill struggle this might have been for the foxes, but in reality, he wanted an assessment of the range of this conflict. Every new detail fascinated as much as it perplexed him.

The confines of space was spectacular. Xie bit his lips. That was too bad, he had wanted to have a trip to the celestial body which orbited the Earth. Though, then again, perhaps planets further away worked just as well. Well, in any case, it was going to be a, hopefully, fruitful experience, if a bit far. Meaning, he would have to rely on either these foxes or their nemesis if he ever wanted to see this planet again. Something about that just didn't sit well with him. Depending on foxes; sounds like an antithesis to every Aesop fable ever written.

And, Xie made a point of glaring at Runelle for giggling at his expense. Though, her power armor made that a bit of a challenge, but Xie endeavored nonetheless. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. And that applies to this situation as well.

With that thought, the young man stepped into the space-faring tofu, he himself clad in the stuff. If asked about it, this definitively not how Xie would've expected him to go off into space. The Americans had made this seem so heroic, yet he couldn't help but feel... uncomfortable. And slightly sticky.

"The seat..." He didn't even bother to finish the sentence. It was formed out of the stuff too. Brace. Tofu on tofu. The sensation was unnerving, like sitting on a pile of jelly. Xie even missed the jump drive, so enthralled was he by the tofu... everything.

Xie snapped back as they neared a giant ship, exponentially larger than their current vessel. And not just that, but there, in fact, was a whole fleet in whatever sector of space they were in- space navigation and positioning meaning nothing to the Alchemist. Though, one thing did stick out to Xie.

"Are you people nomadic then?" he asked without really thinking, hearing the admiral refer to it as "home". It was a pointless question, with no purpose but satisfy desire to understand. If they were, than that would mean that this wasn't just military equipment and soldiers, but also their livelihood and civilians. If not, than that would mean this impressive fleet before them was probably but a fraction of their military strength.

In fact, with all this weaponry and resource, it made Xie wonder why they had sought out volunteers for their foodfights. Surely, they had more than enough manpower here.

The screaming crowd could probably attest to that.

In the briefing room, Xie lsitened carefully. He was no military officer, or trained in any manner of warfare, but he was sensible and rationale enough to make good decisions. Or so he liked to think of himself.

He raised his hand, signalling his intent to speak.

"Just to make sure, do you want us to steal or liberate the carr- erm, supplies?" That seemed like a sensible question. Obviously, stealing the things would be much more troublesome than just burning the carrots. Actually, did bunnies even eat carrots? Not important!

"Also," Xie continued, leaning back in the chair. The tofu made a squishing sound from the pressure. "Do we assume that every...bunny is hostile? Or do we shoot back only if fired upon?" Another sensible question. It may not be that every bunny they encounter would be a soldier. Though Xie would probably disregard everything that was going to be said, it was a good idea to see just where the GFE stood upon things such as this.

Beware The Penguin Emperor
A sudden twirl followed by a thwack and a roll whose performer stood up and tried to pose attempting to fool the others into thinking that nothing had happened despite clearly looking distraught, even in tofu armor, indicated that carol, in her Mirror Kreuss persona had entered the fox ship. she made her way towards one of her Tofu seats, joyfully expecting the trip to go similarly to a roller coaster ride.

Plopping herself into the sticky seat and putting on her seatbelt were the necessary preparations that she needed to do before raising her arms. With her hands in the air she turned to either side of the ship and saw, mostly darkness with a few awe striking formations to be seen. She waited until a feminine, albeit robotic and monotonic voice announced that they were ready for ignition. She braced herself, was pushed towards her seat and, didn't do anything else

Jumping turned out to be anticlimactic for her, nevertheless, the sudden appearance of an imposing spaceship that dwarfed their own, or most vehicles Carol had ever seen for that matter, the so-called-heroine sat agape while expectantly waiting for orders, which was when one of the boys in the ship decided to speak.

"Steal, MIRROR KREUSS is helping provide what is fair!" As an unintentionally misguided Robin Hood, Carol had decided that they had to be absolute justice, as they were on her side and Mirror Kreuss! was Justice, which in turn meant that they had to be the good guys. Even if she herself didn't quite understand what goodness meant, in that situation anyhow.

She continued speaking without listening to any orders that would be given to them, nor attempting to actually let their leader explain."The bunnies have strayed from the path of the righteous and it is the duty of MiRROR KREUSS and those that are with her to bring them back to the light! She had said two ridiculous sentences that barely, and squinting, made some sense in the course of a minute. Which meant that she was still far from breaking her own record, but it seemed to be worth a try.

"Oh and can we take our seatbelts off, I don't like it"

(OOC: Getting this started again since no more sign ups)

“The UBF and the GFE control approximately an equal amount of systems, though their systems tend to be more… rich.” The fox boy noted that last bit with a bit of disdain. “Cutting off their supplies should be enough to give us an advantage in the sector, so there is no need to steal their supplies kon. Besides, we have no use for mochi or carrots. Feel free to destroy them if you feel like it kon. I’m sure every bunny on planet will try to stop you, so it might be safest to assume they’re hostile.”

He cast a glance at Carol, a bit intrigued and confused by what she was saying about MIRROR KREUSS and the path of the righteous, but didn’t comment on it due to having more important matters at hand. “Ahem… If that’s all Sargent Tina will take you to the armoury and get you equipped kon. Good hunting out there.” The fox boy saluted sharply and Tina returned the gesture before guiding the Hyakujians away.

“I’d give you guys a tour of the place, but we’re a bit pressed for time, sorry! It’s a bit of a shame, the Berry Ascension really is a marvellous ship kon.” Tina smiled and peeked at Xie. “To answer your earlier question, no we’re not nomads kon, but this ship is my home. Most military families live on the ship they serve on so it’s not surprising you’d make that assumption kon.” Her voice trailed off, as if she was in deep thought, and they walked the remaining distance to the armoury in silence.

Upon reaching their destination Tina keyed in a password on the security door which slid open to reveal a wide array of weaponry. The fox girl went up to a weapon rack and picked up a high-tech looking rifle. “This is the Berry Cannon Mk V, standard issue for all GFE troopers kon.” She tossed one to Carol and another to Xie then held up another for demonstration purposes. “It shoots hardened berries at a rate of two hundred rounds per minute. However, each clip only contains about a hundred rounds so going all trigger happy won’t be a good idea kon. Now the best part of this gun is the Fox Fire attachment here.” She pointed to a box shaped object attached to the front of the rifle. “It liquefies the berries and sprays it in a dense cloud of juice which can interfere with the bunny’s mochi equipment kon. It’s a bit draining on the clip though, so don’t use it too much.”

Once demonstrations were complete Tina’s sights fell upon Tyzal. “Do you want a weapon too Arbitrator? Just because you’re neutral doesn’t mean the bunnies won’t shoot at you kon.”

"Hmph. That's fine then," Xie remarked when the male fox answered his query. It would seem that they were there to just disrupt the supply line, which made things quite a bit simpler than if they were to actually escape a planet filled by angry bunnies, with their carrots in tow. Though, the fact that every bunny on the planet (aside, it sounds ridiculous when he thinks this) is against them irked the Alchemist. Surely, they weren't all in favor of war? In Xie's eyes, conflict is necessary, but wars were just idiotic. Then again, this intergalactic war was unlike any he had ever seen before.

As they wrapped up the briefing, Xie stood up from his seat, gazing with contempt as the male fox exchanged salutes with the Sergeant. Formalities, too, bugged the Alchemist. As does a number of other things, such as this tofu suit, the tofu seat, the prevalent berry theme etc.

Xie refrained from commenting on the name of the ship, instead adopting a sour look as he attempted to stop himself from laughing. Perhaps it was a call sign; a designation that they used to refer to all ships of such a caliber. A ship of enormous proportions, used to ferry the people long term across the ravages of space.

A generation ship, I think they were called? Or was it something like Super Dimensional Dreadknought Fortress Type?

Xie snapped back when he realized Tina had answered his question.

At the armory, Xie was tossed a gun. To be honest, Xie was probably one of the last person one would want to arm; even the boy himself was taken back, almost dropping the weapon. Thankfully, he didn't. Though, now would probably be a bad time to say he had never handled firearms before. Then again, how difficult could it be? Point and press the trigger, refuel as required. It's simple, really.

Besides, something else was on his mind. He had been pondering this query ever since leaving the briefing room.

"Curious question: I realize that your terms of war with the bunnies stop each other from using lethal weaponry," Xie somehow said that with a straight face. "But has their even been any... accidents? A mechanical failure of some sort?" With so many people aboard a war vessel, the possibility of such an event to unfold cannot be uncounted. If such a large ship was compromised, calamity would ensue. It would be the same as destroying a small country. Though he was no mechanic, it would probably be best to see if there was a history of such a thing.

After all, a Chinese proverb advises to "fear not ten thousand, but the one in ten thousand." Xie mentally smacked himself for think of Chinese proverbs.

Finally, they were briefed on what they would do, she paid attention, or something akin to it. The few things that she got from the fox person were that she was going to stop some food source, or something supplies, and that she would be able to happily win against the evil bunnies without any form of restraint.

They were taken to the armoury at which point they were given weapons to utilize against the bunnies."Ah, the cannon of endless hope is in my hands" At that moment only three things were completely certain. Carol was excited, she would forget the name she had given to the cannon at some point, and she still had no idea of what she was doing. That wouldn't stop her from doing it regardless, it never had in the past and it was not the moment to start.

She heard how the cannon worked, and would probably disregard the "not being trigger happy" part. At the same time, the cloud of juice would be useful, as it would allow her to jam her enemies equipment long enough to be able to give pointless speeches. Safe to say, Carol was ready.

An equal number of systems... assuming not too many had changed hands since this war began, that would indicate either a similar level of space development, or one being far more eager about it than the other. But given their technology seemed so similar to begin with, that first option seemed far more likely...
Layers and layers, and each one added to the mystery around this war.
At the fox boy's prompting, Tyzal followed the green haired girl to the armoury, listening in on her conversation. So, families lived together even in a time of war... it perhaps made more sense with the conflict as strictly non-lethal - less threats of families being suddenly ripped apart. But to think it'd still be acceptable either way...

Once they reached the armoury, Tina took the time to show off her people's technology in the arms department, mildly impressing as well as amusing. When a question was directed towards him however, he paused to consider his answer.
"I'll... take something small, as a sidearm. Otherwise, I have a firearm of my own, designed to be non-lethal as well." Well, at a basic level, sure, but the buster would nevertheless be quite dangerous if he put to use a charge shot...
That would have to be his ultimate deterrent then.

"For that matter though... has this war really been without casualties this year? I mean, much as you might have restrictions in place, the sheer odds of it all..." He was curious on how just how dangerous these weapons could be, but also how in the world the two sides enforced their rules of war...

“Suit yourself kon, though personally I think a man like you could something with more punch.” Tina rummaged around and pulled out a sleek looking pistol, lobbing it at Tyzal. “Same idea, but less rounds per clip and no fox-fire attachment kon. Now come along, I’ll answer your questions along the way.”

Heading back through the maze of corridors to the hangar, the group encountered various crew members of the Berry Ascension. They would salute sharply at Tina, but as soon as the sergeant passed they would wave at the Earthlings and whisper excitedly amongst themselves, especially the fox girls, who would also blush and giggle at the sight of the Hyakujian males. “Ahem… don’t pay them any mind. Males are… coveted around here kon.” Tina shot one such group a look and they scurried off. “Anyways, as surprising as it sounds, yes there had been no casualties this year kon. Our weapons are strictly speaking capable of killing, but only against unarmoured targets. And seeing how no one is dumb enough to enter battle without armour, no one has died kon.”

They passed through a large set of doors and into a hangar different from the one they landed in, this one with a wide variety of spacecraft clearly meant for warfare. Amongst them there was one ship that had several pods attached on either side, and Tina led the group towards it. “As for accidents… well, it does happen. Ships do break down once in a while kon, and sometimes a fox or bunny gets stranded in space until rescue arrives. But both sides have perfected suit technology so that no one is in any real danger should it happen, and that includes you kon.”

“Annnnd here we are, a Rubus class dropship. We’ll be taking it to Centauri Prime kon, so all aboard!” Like before, Tina took a seat at the front of the ship while the Hyakujians would have to sit in the back. What was notably different this time however, was that each seat was in its own little section of the ship with a central walkway. “Everyone ready? We’ll be jumping again soon so better strap yourself in kon.”

Sure enough the fox girl piloted the dropship out of the Berry Ascension and into open space. Shortly thereafter, the familiar voice of the ship computer could be heard.

“Jumpdrive charging at 10%... 30… 50%... 70… 90... Jumping kon.”

Another sudden lurch and another flash of light, and foxian raiding party was on its way.
