Things seemed to be going well for Sophia, until a pungent stench came from nowhere. “Wha…” The Valkyrie backed away, wary of this sudden turn of events, and started beating her wings in an attempt to clear the smell and possibly poison. A mistake on her part it would seem, as Shirena used this chance to get a hold of her wing.

The boy was unexpectedly strong, it seems that this new look wasn’t just for show. “So you sold your body and soul for power? I’m disappointed in you.” As the pair plummeted from the sky Sophia watched the oncoming ground carefully. This was going to be a close one…

Now! At the last second she turned her spear so that it pointed towards Shirena and herself and dispelled her wings, leaving the corrupted pyromancer holding onto nothing. The butt of the spear slammed into the ground as Sophia twisted her smaller body away from the spearhead, rolling after hitting the ground hard. The initial impact broke her arm, but she managed to avoid worse injuries. Shirena however… might not get away that easily. Sophia’s plan had been hidden from sight by her body, so whether or not the boy escaped serious harm would be up to his reflexes.

Panting heavily the Valkyrie got to her feet and healed her broken arm with Lux Curationum. The good thing about her healing magic was that she can afford to take some damage, but it definitely still hurt. She watched the crash site carefully, looking for signs of Shirena. She had pointed the spear at his midriff, so it shouldn’t instantly kill him. Even if he sustained a mortal wound she can still heal him back to health. “Overconfidence can be a fatal mistake Shirena, let this be a lesson to you.”

Turning misery into meaningfulness!
Shirena was surprised by Sophia's quick and skillful reversal of his plans. He quickly moved out the way, and nearly dodged it, ending up with a nasty part of his hip cut open, leaving him easily wounded, if not worse. "You....you left me..." He said, before coughing slightly, mostly from the impact. "You left me to die..." He said, as his vision began to fade slightly. "You....I'll make you pay!" He quickly bursted forward, moving away from the spear that nearly pierced him, and tried to tackle Sophia. He didn't make it far though, as he dropped to the ground beside Sophia, weakened, and with little strength to focus on his powers.

He wasn't mortally wounded, it seems, but he was clearly in quite a bit of shock. He had a few broken bones, mostly in his back, from where he could feel it, and a broken leg, making him unable to keep a stable stream of explosions from there. If he wasn't picked up by any allies, he would most likely be stuck there. He was easily dealt with...or at least, so it seems. Still, the blood loss would be fatal if not healed soon, and he would fall unconscious eventually, even with treatment. "You have your win. I'll..." He sighed, before rolling to his back. "I'll..." He couldn't bring the words out of his mouth before his back hit the ground. It wasn't painful, just startling. "Just...just go." He was still weak, it seemed.

"I'm sorry, but when? You mean 'if', correct?" Eris let loose a small laugh, as she pulled from her back a strange but simple blade, tossing her staff very, very high into the air. With the hilt in her wrist, and one flat side against her open palm, the goddess of strife wielded her blade more like a shield, as she brought the other flat side to bare against Astaroth's assault.
"But since blocking you with my palms would mean letting you hit me, I'll play with a handicap, just for you, little Asty~" Though she claimed not to be of the same breed as the Olympians, their absurd physical capabilities showed in how Eris deftly dealt with the situation at hand. Every time Astaroth's fists flew forward with furious ferocity, they were met by the flat of the sword, and the blade seemed to take the blows quite well.

That said, even Eris began to notice that her work to block these strikes was forcing her to move back, farther from the fountain. Furrowing her brow a bit, she leapt up and over Astaroth, only to find herself met by Leraje, causing her to arch a brow.
"Really now?" Unfortunately, just as she had with Astaroth, Eris would be able to block with her blade, her hands like a blur as she kept pace with her opponents.
"Perhaps you don't understand what it takes for someone to be a companion and ally of the likes of Ares. He may certainly lose damn well near every fight he's in, but that's because he's a fool, not incapable." And then she would be... gone, nothing left behind to strike but her cape...

And if it was struck, then woe to that poor fellow, as they would find the cloth practically springing into life, difficult to cut and even harder to tear off, as it tried to cover and consume whoever dared strike it.
As for Eris herself?
"Though you... I would think you're of a similar kind to him, if ages younger." She was sat upon the fountain, and extended a hand out to lightly caress Seth's cheek. The lad would be missing his wallet and a few other possessions, which clattered to the floor where the goddess had been but moments ago.
"Both of you, in fact. Two minds with only a single body to share. Must be... vexing. But who is the stronger, I wonder?" She'd dive back in case Seth too tried to bring his blades down upon her...

Just in time for her staff to come back down, right on a path towards the boy's head.

And she was fast, really, really fast as she kept blocking without hesitation Astaroth's attacks.
The demon of war had an insane glow in her eyes as she kept barraging the goddess. And no, it wasn't frustration or irritation the one on her face: the blue demon was actually becoming more and more excited.

She was indeed the demon of war, and it was clearer than ever to Aya why.

When Eris hopped forward, she moved fast, a leap that dodged Astaroth try to catch her legs.
The blue demon turned, in time to see Leraje assail her to no avail. The woman already teleported too far, next to Seth.

Leraje had already struck the empty mantle and to his surprise it enveloped him in an instant.

Astaroth turned around to look for her target, and she immediately lunged in her direction as soon as her eyes layed on her. No words, no grunts. She simply moved toward the fountain with a sole focus.

It was obvious she didn't wait for Seth's reaction. She would keep her assault no matter what. Maybe she was fast enough to attack even before Seth.

---

Aya's attention was caught by Eris's staff the instant she flung it in the air. That was the reason she didn't attack behind Leraje. That staff had to go somewhere, didn't it?
Unfortunately, it disappeared into the night sky, quickly out of her field of view.
The girl was also distracted by Leraje suddenly trapped inside Eris's mantle: her attention on the sky was no more, and she moved to help him out it.

She almost reached him when something grabbed her neck, a sudden grip that came out of nowhere, accompanied by a sadistical laugh.
"Mwahahahahahaha!"
Aya's hands ran on her neck, and she could feel a strand of hair appearing out of nowhere.
She turned a little, enough to see another Heleth grinning at her as another strand, spiraling in her direction surrounded by black smoke penetrated her hips.
The pain was strong, and she clenched her teeths to suffocate a scream. She was supposed to be sturdy, but a direct, piercing attack like that was very different from impact damage. The pain was enough to have her falter.

"Sorry human, but I want that bundle!"
The hair strands moved and yanked her away, tossing her like a ragdoll.
Aya was flinged toward a building. In midair, she barely had the time to curl as her back crashed inside a window in the ground foloor of a house.
The silver haired girl disappeared inside the building.
The fake Heleth put her left hand in her Jacket, firmly helding the pendant hidden in it as her right hand moved forward to grab Leraje, an evil, satisfied grin depicted on her face. Waiting for the right chance just payed off.

---

"Sh-Shirenaa!" Heleth screamed out in surprise, at the sight of the disappeared boy falling down with Sophia. It happened all too fast. The two were tangled in a mortal dance as they fell below, and her new wings weren't fast enough to reach them.

Her eyes could see Sophia putting her spear in the front, and dodging away the impact with it.
The dark hooded Shirena wasn't as lucky, and despite his attempt to dodge he was badly injured by the spear and the impact with the ground.

Something took the best of her and she rushed in his direction.
"What have you done!?" she screamed to Sophia with an incredulous tone, and a note of desperation in her broken voice, but she didn't take any action against her. Her elongated hair moved toward the esanimous boy as she put al her attention toward him.
The demon girl just wanted to heal Shirena. Despite his apparent condition as opponent, in that very moment she didn't care. Shirena was hurt. Her first friend in the human world was dying.
Her heart was racing and her mouth was dry. She could feel her throat burning after her desperate screams.

No other thought except saving him was in her head.
Her strands of hair covered his injury, and other moved on the visibly broken leg. She fell to her knees beside him, a panicked face tht was studying his features. He was Shirena, no doubt, but something was off about him. Still, even if she noticed, she didn't care.

One does not simply eat one packet of mee goreng
The young man stayed true to his words, refusing to move even an inch as the odd woman practically toyed with Astaroth and the others. When she suddenly disappeared and reappeared right in front of him, it startled him for a short moment before the young man growled and actually snapped his teeth at her hand like an angry teased canine. He was trying so hard to stand his ground however, the staff came down and struck conveniently squarely on his head!

It made a pretty audible crack.

"...Not that vexing, not really. I just got used to it,"

It doesn't seem to have affected him in the least however, except maybe irritate him slightly. Or quite a bit, this woman is just toying with them and it's making him fairly angry. "So you're asking which one of us is the stronger one, eh?" The young man said, or rather... the second mind, soul and existence within him said, the sentient Metavirus V. While it was still the voice of Seth, it had a slightly higher and much more excited tone to it, not to mention the wide grin that appeared on his face. "Wrong question. You are underestimating us," This time Seth spoke again, the cooler, much more composed tone with the not quite smiling expression returned.

"Thou art I, and I art thou, just to quote~"

"It's neither me, nor him,"

"It's us~"

"AND WE ARE THE STRONGEST!!"

In an act of complete inconsideration and recklessness, the two of them raised the spirit nodachi Roukanken high up into the air above their head, before swinging it down onto the odd woman with so much speed and strength that whether it struck its intended target or not, would smash on and split a great chuck of the ground in front of them apart with a deafening BOOM!!!

...Right, he's definitely angry.

...Oh yeah, Astaroth better move aside.

“Abandoned you?” Sophia walked up to the fallen Shirena, an angry irritation creeping into her voice. “You were taken by some unknown creature, we had no way of tracking where you went. Even then, I can’t believe how far you’ve fallen. Fully corrupted and attacking a town full of innocent after only a day of being separated from us? You have no faith in your friends, do you? Heleth shouldn’t have worried the way she did.”

Speak of the devil… literally. Sophia took a step back as something jade flew towards her, recognizing what it was and the red-skinned demon’s intent a second later. “Heleth, stop!” The Valkyrie pulled her spear out of the ground and slashed at the healing appendages, cutting them loose. “Shirena is still under the influence of whatever corrupted him. If you heal him now he’ll just attack us again.”

She looked around and found a jagged wooden pole in some nearby debris. “… Forgive me.” Without further warning the Valkyrie stabbed Shirena through the stomach with the pole, effectively pinning him to the ground. As soon as that was done she quickly drew the rune of Eir in the air and started chanting.
“Prodiit, Eir, domina sanitatum. Per antiquas contractum, te invoco. Largire nobis medélam lucem et protegat. Sanctuarium Angelus!”

An angel of light descended from the heavens and covered the area around Shirena with her healing wings. The boy would find the gash in his side healed instantly, the hole in his stomach on the other hand… “The pole will stop it from healing completely and the pain should keep him in check, but he’s in no danger of dying now. Heleth, talk some sense into him if you can, I’m going to check on Seth and Astaroth. If you think Shirena’s cured of whatever corruption that ails him, pull the pole out and he’ll be fully healed in no time. Be warned, my spell will only last twenty minutes, so you should work fast.”

Honestly speaking Sophia had her doubts about Heleth, and she half expected the demon girl to free Shirena right away. She walked away slowly, ready to turn back in a moment’s notice should said case happen and Shirena starts rampaging again, but otherwise headed towards the enormous explosion and the yell declaring a certain young man to be the strongest. Something about Seth’s voice sound off though… Sophia hoped everything was alright at the fountain.

Shirena looked surprised at the seemingly unknown demon approaching, intent on healing him. He felt a warm feeling of relief over his body, and laid his head back to rest a moment. And then Sophia cut of the extensions of the hair, and he could feel his leg return to its former, more broken state. He winced at the feeling, but gave no more than that. He seemed... shocked at Sophia's words. He was simply doing what his boss was telling him... right?

And then a pole went through his stomach. His screams of utter pain barely muffled by the biting of his lip. "D... damn it..." He said, before he could see a form of... an odd light, healing his wounds, keeping him pierced though with the pole. Needless to say, he was stuck there. No matter how much he pulled at the pole, it just wouldn't budge without causing immense pain. After a few moments, he sighed, and let go. "Damn this stupid wooden..." he continued to grumble about stupid valkyries and stupid poles.

"Oho..." Eris let a small, amused sound slip past her lips as her staff somehow bounced off of Seth's evidently quite thick skull, and returned to her hand. That hand then held the staff before her, and her other hand seized the opposite end of its length after sheathing the sword she had briefly held. Seth and his joint host spoke, raising their sword on high...
And then brought it down in full, delivering a blow that struck so hard, that the ground beneath its target shattered. Parts of the stone that made the fountain were chipped and damaged by the surging strength of Seth's strike, with debris and dust thrown up as the power had to go somewhere...

"That it?"
Because it barely seemed to phase Eris at all, the shaft of her staff having blocked Seth's blade. The staff itself did seem to show damage, a cut into its frame measurable by several centimeters, but that was somewhat offset by the evident reality that it was also twice its original size.
"You know that the world is home to gods, demons, and all manner of creatures that exceed you in their mere existence. To claim to be the strongest, even in light of such things... The hubris is hysterical!" With a loud laughter, the goddess released her own staff suddenly, hopping up onto it and using it as a stepping stone to launch herself further - and push down the boy along with it should his sword still be stuck within the staff.

Within the air, the goddess seemed to be searching for something, and had a happy smile on her face as she eventually found it... or rather, her.
"There you are!" Once she landed, Eris almost immediately took into a dash, and whilst her speed wasn't exactly impossible to keep an eye on, she certainly exceeded the best olympic athletes by quite a stretch. She ignored Astaroth, ignored Seth, and pretty much all else...
So that she could leap, and stick out her leg in a fierce, brick shattering kick, towards the italian valkyrie. Whether by missing, plowing through the girl, or leaping off her to keep going, Eris tried to change her direction by using the pole kinda wedged into Shirena's stomach as a springboard, to then send her flying back as she unleashed a flurry of flying fists.

"An anomaly here as much as I. What brings Odin's own breed of harpy to the Netherworld?" ...Did the fountain thing even matter to her?

Heleth paralyzed herself in surprise as her hair was suddenly cut by Sophia's spear.

The red girl did register Sophia's words. She was right, but how could she leave him like that?
Before she could answer properly, the valkyrie already pushed a wooden pole through shirena's stomach that made her jerk in surprise.

Even with the magic spell, it all semed like an elaborate torture to Heleth's eyes. A sadistic and rather well conceived torture though.
Fortunately, rationality didn't completely abandon Heleth's mind, and the girl had her hair regrow.
Like snakes, her strands grew to envelop Shirena. Taking advantage of his pain, she found no real opposition in completely binding him.
It was simple, if she could restrict him well enough, she could free him of that pole.

Suddenly, something just used the pole in Shirena's stomach as a spring, causing Heleth's heart to skip a beat. She jerked backwards.

Curses! She wasn't paying attention to her surroundings! She turned her head, just in time to see Eris flying toward Sophia.

----

Astaroth widened her eyes when Seth's sword smashed the ground with his sheer power. It was something the demon didn't expect and her assault suddenly came to a halt as she put her strenght and inhuman reflexes to move sideways.

The blue woman tumbled once, ragaining her standing position with a wide grin.
"Ahahahah! That was surprising!"
Filled with adrenaline, she didn't seem to notice the risk she just ran.

She wasted time though, as Eris already hopped elsewhere, and was quickly moving away attacking Sophia.

Astaroth didn't care if she hit her or not, she just tracked her, clenching her fists as the golden eyes gauged her movements.
As soon as she leaped on the pole keeping Shirena trapped, Astaroth leaped in her direction taking the whole advantage on the goddes focused on attacking Sophia.

She ignored her far too much.

Red sparks crossed through Astaroth's right fist as she aimed to deliver a powerful, uncerimonious blow to Eris's face.
No screams, no taunts, just a silent, swift charged sneak attack delivered with burning excitement.
Should it hit, Eris was bound to meet with a wall or two of the nearby houses.

----

Aya finally found herself ragdolled on the wooden floor of a random house in the Netherworld, stopping only when her back and legs hit a table.
"G-god..." she whispered as her hand ran on her wound. She could feel the hot sensation of blood on her hand, numbed by the sheer pain coming from her intestines.

A distant laugh kept echoing in her head.

Barely conscious, she began to use her stored power to heal her wound when she realized the would was already healing itself, and at a sustained pace too!
How could it be possible? Whatever it was, it was speeding up her healing process, saving her a lot of stored power, time and pain.

Looking for a stable point to help her regain a standing position, Aya grabbed the leg of the table, and raised to a sitting position as the pain was fading.

----

"Ahahahahahah!" The fake Heleth put her hand on Leraje's head from above Eris's mantle "Do not panic! It'll be over soon! Like I did with all the others!"
Energy surged from Leraje, as his muffled scream could be barely heard.
The gem in her opposite hand glowed of an ominous purple light.
Then Leraje's scream disappeared, as was his body. Nothing of him remained inside the now empty cloak.

The red, fake copy of the daughter of Mastema tasted victory as she turned toward the fountain and Seth.
"There's only one more thing to do now" she said with a friendly and satisfied smile "Shatter the bounds of reality!"

He was... actually stunned. Just frozen on the spot even as the odd lady went and leaped completely over him, the young man just stood there with his wide eyes, only turning around to stare at her lashing out mercilessly against Sophia.

That's... no.

Is it for real...?

"...Heh. ....Heheheheeehhh......!"

An oddly excited grin appeared on his face as well as a devilishly maniacal cackle escaped him as he continued to stare at Eris in disbelief and... eagerness. "Hey hey..... Seth, she's really strong, isn't she....?"

If Seth could do a mental double-take, he would do so at himself. And god knows, knowing V... Hold it, don't be reckless! Seth Ryouga yelled mentally at the Metavirus, managing to muster enough sense to stop him from taking rushing steps towards the odd lady without his consent... While I also very much would like to give her a beating, don't forget the fountain we're supposed to keep-!

"Are you kidding me man, didn't you see just how strong she was?!" ...Though V is actually proving to be quite the hard entity to stop...! As much as Seth tried his best to reel him back, the Metavirus' seemed to have apparently garnered some ridiculous source of drive and determination that could almost override Seth's own. "Come on, come on! When was the last time we've had a fight with someone that strong?! Don't let that girl have all the fun!!" He roared out, the maniacal excitement in his sentence was very prominent, the blood knight inside him was lashing out in hunger... "Finally, someone we can actually go all out on!! Someone who also likes fighting just as much, someone who'll give a challenge!!!"

It was a bit unfortunate that someone else had to butt in on his train of thought. Heleth, or apparently someone who looked like the demon...? Made her appearance and proclaimed their real objective towards him right after taking out one of their acquaintance. So they're not just here for the sake of causing trouble, they really are going to destroy that fountain after all. "...Ab-solutely NOT!!!" The young man shouted, his own will ended up overpowering the Metavirus' own much to his chagrin. What? WHAT?!

"Our objective is to protect this fountain at all cost!" He spoke out, forcibly tearing his attention away from the lady of chaos throwing a beatdown on Sophia to face the second Heleth with his swords drawn at her, his expression hard and icy cold. "I will not move from this spot," He said. "Even if I have to tear you in half to do it,"

Che… She knew Heleth was too soft on Shirena. Sophia started to turn back to stop Heleth, but caught something out of the corner of her eye. “Wha…” The Valkyrie stepped back, but was too slow to fully dodge the incoming attack and Eris’s attack grazed her shoulder, knocking her off balance. She barely got back on her feet when her opponent struck again, this time with a powerful barrage that reminded her of Athena. There was something else about her that felt sort of familiar too…

“I could ask you the same thing! What happened to the agreement not to meddle in mortal affairs?” Sophia raised her arms in an attempt to shield the attack, which ultimately didn’t help much but was enough to ward off major damage. Whatever injuries she did sustain was healed instantly by her sanctuary like the way it did back in Olympus.

Despite having the shield advantage, Sophia was in a bad spot. She was out of magic and hasn’t had proper rest for some time now, so Eris’s attack was taking its toll on her even if it wasn’t making any lasting damages. That didn’t mean she wasn’t going to fight back though. As the Valkyrie retreated against the barrage, she lanced out with her spear, using its superior range against her opponent’s fists.

Shirena looked at Heleth, surprised to see her...somehow trying to free him of this blasted wooden pole. This involved enveloping his body in hair, and his body struggled against it, but his mind struggled against a different sort of opponent. One of pure darkness, the being in Shirena's mind and heart, awoken at a start of darkness....

And then immense pain.

And he finally felt it. Unlike before, where he was calm, though angered, for once, he felt nothing but unrivaled rage. He felt himself explode with a scream, easily breaking free of her restraints. He growled, and attempted the pull the pole from his stomach. With Heleth's attempt to free him, and the loosening of the pole from the girl who just caused immense internal pain, he was finally able to pull it free from him...and did little else but free a large hole in his stomach, but that didn't matter.

Nonono, what mattered now was the bastard who used the pole jammed inside of him to attack the Valkyrie....no, not the Valkyrie. His friend.

And he bursted towards Eris, boosting his speed and lifting him to her level with explosions, and directing an explosive punch into her face. His face only showed a determined look in his eye. He knew he would most likely miss...but his instinct didn't allow him to turn back now.

"It would appear I have to repeat myself then. That agreement, was sworn by Zeus, and those who would call Olympus their home. I never abided by such an oath." Eris' fists struck hard against the valkyrie, either unaware or uncaring of how the damage she did was quickly healed. There was naught but an eager and excited smile that spread from ear to ear, even as the valkyrie made an effort to try and counter this with her spear.
"Careful~" A spear that was dodged by a quick sidestep and then one leg quickly raised over it. Shifting her weight, Eris proceeded to practically dance upon the pole with a spin, like it was on stage rather than wielded as a weapon.

She came to sit upon the pole, defying notions of balance and weight as she seemed so light as a feather upon the shaft, cooing as she looked at Sophia.
"Truth be told, I came here because I thought there might be some fun to be had." With another twirl, she fell off the pole to land away from Shirena's strike, and leaving him headed towards the spear, smiling as ever.
CRACK
...But there was another fist.
BOOOOOOOOM

Namely, Astaroth's, which when it collided with the side of Eris' face, sunk in for a split second, before the goddess' body was flung away. Down the street she went, head knocking against the floor, body spinning like a bike wheel, before finally, she hit the side of a building, shattering several windows and the concrete for good measure. It seemed to be that she took out a good chunk of the center structure as well, as there was much creaking and scattering of loose stone, before a loud rumble as much of it collapsed on top of her. Floors, furniture, whatever the denizens of this realm kept inside, all of it came down on that spot, kicking up much dust and small debris as a result.

And what of Eris, then?

"...Looks like the FUN is just beginning!" She punched her way out, emerging from the rubble with dirtied clothing, and a slightly bleeding lip. She wiped it away with the long end of the scarf she had wrapped around head, stepping across the stones of rubble towards the street, and... the stones shifted beneath her with each step. Slithering in lines, as if... as if...
"Of course, giving me things to work with is never much of a good idea..." As if they were now giant snakes of stone, rising up beside her. Which, naturally, they were.

Eris cast both arms forward, and with them, the snakes of stone surged. In spite of their size, they moved at a decent speed, which combined with their length, meant they were coming down the street in no time. Their aim? To coil, crush or kill, whichever came first really. And Heleth was the closest to their oncoming wrath...!

It all happened in a blink. Heleth was still startled by Eris jumping on the wooden pole that was trapping Shirena when the boy erupted in an insane laugh, a mix of rage and pain.
Heleth's eyes widened in shock when he broke free from both his wooden trap and her hair as well.

The pyromancer skyrocketed away with an explosion that deafened her ears. Her hair was teared and damaged as she stood up, trying to follow the explosive trail of Shirena with her gaze.

She saw Eris dodge the attack of Shirena with ease. She saw the boy flying toward Sophia's spear, and Astaroth's fist meeting the goddess's face.

---

"Mwahahahaha!Ahahahahaha!"
Her fist still extended, Astaroth erupted in a loud, insane and oversatisfied laugh.
Her hand was now half open, its palm toward the ground as the demon clearly enjoyed what she just did, paying attention to nothing else but the divine projectile rolling on the ground and crashing inside a distant house.
"Just as I promised! Ahahahahahah!"
The horned demon put little to no care about what was happening to Shirena or Sophia a step beside her. Astaroth was tasting that moment to its fullest.
"I was right! Hah! It felt so good! Ahahahaha!"

---

Eris was flung like a bullet. She flew at top speed just a few inches away from Heleth's face, the simple movement of air waving her hair like a storm could do.
Heleth's heart skipped a beat. Her attention was diverted on the goddess landing.
She stared speechless at the sight of the house crumbling on Eris from the damages it received by the impact.
Astaroth's sheer power was immense. Way above what she had at her disposal.

Yet, Eris emerged from the debris, with her clothes ruined and just a bit of blood on her now cut lip.
It was impressive and scary, oh so horribly scary.
As strong as Astaroth was, she only managed to scratch her. At the same time though, Astaroth managed to actually hurt a goddess.

The surprise faded when the wreckage Eris walked out of sprung into life. The ruins shaped themselves into large snakes made of stone, both moving forward to attack their closest target. Which, her brain realized, was her.

She turned and began to run away, letting her hair grow as she did so, with only a thing in mind: bind, restrain or slow down those things, as she had no offensive power against them.
How pathetically weak she was. But it was to be expected, right? She was just a young and inexperienced creature, involved in matters way bigger than her. A pawn in a war with creatures older than legends.

The two snakes barely payed attention to the longer strands extending from the girl running away, and they were quickly closing in.
Maybe her desperate plan wasn't going to work.

"Ahahahahah! Calling for reinforcements already?"
Astaroth sprung into action, her hands glowing with a red, faint light. The blue demon ran toward the closest snake from the side, and as she raised both hands, a large, giant metal hammer materialized in her grip.

The weapon was brought down with a quick, yet powerful blow, and it hit the central part of the snake, shattering it into a rain of pebbles and shards that clouded the vision of anyone nearby. Astaroth disappeared inside the dust cloud.
"No longer playing with an handicap?" she roared.

The second snake closed on Heleth, raising its head above. It was too close for her to move or dodge. It was too late. If she had just a few more seconds, her hair wasn't growing fast enough!
The debris composing the creature began to move down, a clear attempt to squash the red demon under its mass.
Heleth clenched her teeths as she leaped forward in desperation, her eyes closed.
"Damn iiiit!" A scream, a voice she knew. Then the sound of rocks collapsing on her right, just a few steps away. And dust, lots of dust, forcing her to cover her face.

Taisha Aya landed beside her, falling from above.
"Barely made it!"
Her bright red eyes stared at Heleth with a smile. The tan girl just leaped and managed to divert the monster's trajectory with a kick on its rubbled face.
It did little damage though, as the rocky snake began to roll over in an attempt to kill both.
"Woaaah!" Aya shouted as she and Heleth began to run.

---

The eyes of the fake Heleth lost their coloration as her wide smile seemed to become even wider.
"Hm...hm...Hahahahaha!" Her mouth opened, maybe a little more than how it was supposed to. An innatural movement that ended with a "We'll see about that. Human with personality issues."

The demon faded into a trail of smoke, that flew away in the dark of the night.
Did she retreat like a coward? No, apparently she had a plan. That glimpse of instability in that man was exactly what she needed. She had no care if it was a split personality or another entity. She could use his drive for herself.

Hidden by the darkness, the smoke composing her flew low on the edges of the square, too far to be spotted. She moved quickly, and in a few second she silently was already on the other side of the fountain.

She flew high, and materialized atop of the central column of the fountain.
"Ara ara..." she said with a tone of voice that was no longer that of Heleth.

Whoever this creature was, it now looked like a perfect copy of Eris.
"Do you really think you're the strongest?" She said as she leaned down, giggling a little "Why don't we find out?"

One does not simply eat one packet of mee goreng
For one moment he would've just stared blankly as the not-Heleth retreated away into a cloud of smoke, quite wary of her statement of... challenge, threat? He doesn't know, but it doesn't sound like it'd lead to anything good.

The smoke billowed around rapidly, his eyes hastily tried to catch up with them as it recollected itself around and behind the other side of the fountain and up the top of it...

...Hold on, the fountain-!

"GET AWAY FROM THERE!!!" The young man roared out the moment, not Heleth, but Eris reappeared from the black cloud. It really unnerved him at first sight how he just assumed she could take on whatever form she wanted, but he wouldn't or couldn't give the time to ponder about it. He turned around in alarm towards Eris, immediately leaping up the fountain towards her with his sword raised, aimed to strike a blow down at the woman!
