Episodes List (Click to Open) What a boring night. Derweze town was a boringly small city of the Netherworld. A place where nothing really important happened. That was why, Grotas, a low rank demon was taking its time ignoring his guard duty. "To hell them" it said as he leaned against a wall, a lit cigarette in his mouth. The moon was high in the sky, and the night was eerily bright. Anyone could see the whole road in the distance and realize there was nothing for kilometers up to the horizon. Being assigned to such a remote, pathetic place in the depths of the land was so boring any living creature would die, and any dead spirit unfortunate enough to live there would want to be able to. Grotas threw the remains of the cigarette down below. From the elevated watchpost it fell down like a shooting star, bouncing on the ground twice before coming to a full stop. "Bah" he said as he watched it fall down. "Well hello!" a voice whispered behind him, as a hand covered his mouth and pulled him backward. Grotas's eyes turned toward the source of the voice, only to see a shapeless figure covered by a layer of dark smoke. "Looks like I found a bored guard. Calm down, it's useless" the whispering voice went on as Grotas tried to break free. A tendril made of smoke pierced him in his troat, a surgical hole that prevented him to speak any further. "Useless" the shapeless being slowly became a little more solid, condensing in a short, slender female form with red skin and green hair. Her dual layered eyes shone under the moonlight as her hair pierced through the unfortunate demon's chest. Grotas's last breath was interrupted by a green strand of hair in his diaphragm. A smile filled with pleasure appeared on her face. "The game began!" The figure dissipated into a smoke cloud, that moved down the wall of the structure and reformed itself under its shade. With nobody in sight her left hand touched the wall. A pendant under her jacket began to shine of a blue light and the wall began rippling like it was made of water. "Come on Shirena" she whispered to the ones in the portal "Me, you and our Guest Star are going to break the first seal in the name of Lord Abezethibou" With a grin, the creature resembling Heleth Mastema turned toward the roads of Derweze, ready to carry out its plan. Turning misery into meaningfulness!
|
Shirena's Demon Form Shirena grinned, coming out of the rippling wall with ease. His skin was somewhat whiter, though he seemed... calmed, despite it. "Sounds like a plan." He said, with a nod. He had a differing look from normal. Whilst before he was filled with darkness, he wore his usual jacket and jeans, he now donned a black robe, his normally lively, red eyes had become a light grey, which, while it surprised him at first, her took to with pride and a surprising cockiness. As he left the portal in the wall, he looked at it, sighing. "So...we can trust this one, right?" He said with a small tone of suspicion and doubt. "I mean... I just want to be sure. I mean... well, this person seemed powerful, I want to be prepared. Just in case." He finished. He had an untrusting look, which seemed unnatural on his softer facial features. |

"What? Not a fan of a little... mischief?" The voice would creep into Shirena's ear, practically pinging about from one direction after another, rarely sticking to one spot. The echoes without source however began to draw in as one, as from the rippling portal, a figure emerged. Clad in purple and dressed through items of a long journey, the woman(?) smiled as she leaned slightly on her crystal tipped staff. Her hand caressed the jewel both protectively and familiarly, foot lightly tapping against the ground. Each time she tapped her foot, something happened, going wrong in a likely strange and unusual fashion A few bricks suddenly cracked. A demon lowered his defenses at just the wrong time in a fight. Pipes hit pressure limits and burst. Someone found a horde of the local currency, only to blab to allies and instigate a small war. A button or two popped off in the wrong place on Shirena's clothes. "No point keeping dear old Abby waiting though. Unless we'd like to mess with him, which'd be fun. But that means letting this place stay boring for even longer." With one quick flick of her boot, the female figure kicked up her staff and caught it in one hand, loudly and cheerily humming as she gave it several twirls. There was a total lack of respect, caution, or grace in her movements about the two who were currently her companions. Indeed, far be it from being simply yet another servant, this seemed more... Like an observer who had merely decided to join in the fun. |

Their guest revealed herself a bit noisier than expected. The demon looking like Heleth discarded the concept of expecting something though from the purple dressed woman. Her presence alone was an element of unpredictability that simply had her shiver with glee. Chaos in its purest form. But this was a mere detail. So long as she kept their side they were bound to have the upper hand. "Well then" the wide grin on the red girl was visible, as the gem under her jacket shone of a reddish hue. "The first Seal is in the central square, hidden under Derweze's fountain." She was expecting to find someone guarding the place, and, from her position, she could easily spot two other watchposts. Based on her knowledge, the path to the fountain was still rather long. It was a shame she could play with portals as freely as that Shedim known as Culsu, it could have made things so much easier... She was limited to places she knew, unfortunately. She lost consistency as she moved like a polluted black cloud across the road, to the darkest corner on the other side, assuming solidity once again. No watchposts were in shight over there. "Burn that one to the ground" she said to Shirena, pointing toward the farthest one. "As for the other" she smiled to the blonde girl "Do as you please!" The demon faded into smoke, moving forward down the road. With two distractions to look at, she was free to scout forward and plan her next move. |

Turning misery into meaningfulness!

Shirena nodded as he was told where the first seal was, quietly re-buttoning up his shirt with a blush, before taking off to where the first seal would supposedly be. The fact that it was under a fountain made him a bit irked, but he sighed, and went along with. He had a slight worry that they'd be caught, but discarded it. Besides, no one would be that crazy. Right? He arrived with Heleth, with a good view of the watchposts. He knew already what he was going to do, but not to who. The moment he was directed to the farthest one, he made his move, quickly, nearly silently blasting away, spinning somewhat as he flew towards his opponent. The guard barely had time to react as Shirena quickly flew at him, kicking him in the gut, and using the man to land. "Thanks for being in my way." He said, before gripping the mans head, and began pumping his own flames into his hands, burning the poor fellow alive Sadistic, ain't it. Don't worry, the guard wasn't dead. Only mostly dead, merely forcefed flames, with enough heat to cause an internal rupture, causing immense pain, and knocking him unconscious. Edited by bmsman816, Feb 12 2014, 01:46 PM.

"Ah, of course. The opposite to a literal fiery pit in the middle of nowhere is a fountain in the middle of a city. I'm not sure if I should applaud or smack someone on the head for that." Shaking her head several times, the lady in purple daintily shook her hips a bit as she hummed to herself. Sudden, the motion brought forth an apple from the pouch around her waist, which flew up into the air. She caught it in an open palm, and brought the mixed red and green fruit to her lips, before opening her mouth to bite upon it. For several moments, she chewed the treeborne product, not seeming to care to follow after supposed allies at all, and merely enjoying her small snack. By the time she was done, little but the core of the apple itself remained, which was allowed to drop to the ground with little fanfare to be spoken of. Twirling her staff again, the figure held her hands at its base as she aimed the elongated shaft downward, so that the crystalline sphere now sat not far from the core. Moving so that her feet faced the apple core, the curious woman waggled a bit and bent over, checking the distance between her and where the others now lay... "FORE!" And then swung the staff like a golf club, complete with half raised foot at the end as the staff went over her shoulder, and the apple core went flying. "Tu!" It landed on the head of some creature, impish, hunched over, and yet with fangs like a proud hunter, which then caught the now slightly rotting fruit as it bounced off their cranium. They stared at it, confused for several seconds along with their fellows in the watchpost, turning their heads away briefly to discuss what and why... "Hello~" Only for there suddenly to be the woman sitting in the creature's palm where the apple had been. Before they could finish screaming out in shock and surprise, the purple clad figure made her move, flipping up and off the hand that had briefly been her seat. Her foot struck against the creature's neck, and one could see it as it was sent flying into the air, struck by a force not generally possible from the human body alone. Landing in a crouch, her head rose to meet those of her opponents... And she smiled. |

Perfect. With two distractions to handle, looking for the fountain would be very easy. The fake Heleth breezed through the roads of Derweze, a smoke veil advancing in the shadows of the buildings. There it was, the fountain. Even if she never saw it before, she knew it was her target. The place was empty. She regained solidity in the border of the place, her dual layered eyes wandering around, in an attempt to spot hidden Shedims guarding the place. There didn't seem to be anybody around. She advanced toward the fountain, hands extended forward. Yes, she could feel it. Paimon's barrier was in there. The magical lines were thin, weak and very well hidden inside the marble that composed that structure. She almost touched it, when a black metal arrow flew in her direction. She moved, but not fast enough. Instead of being hit in the neck, the dart penetrated her shoulders. She roared in pain, as she faded into smoke again, retreating into the darkness. In the opposite direction of the arrow. The black dart fell on the ground, and faded soon after. She knew it. She knew it, but had no other way for Leraje to show up. "I knew you where here, Leraje" she sibilated as she reformed, an arm already extended as an ice lance appeared. Inside her Jacket, a blue light was glowing as the ice lance sprung away, toward the roofs of the houses, crashing on a chimney. A black dressed figure dashed away quickly, but sendint two arrows toward her. This time though, she was aware of the position of her opponent, and easily dodged. "I really needed to know where you were hidden, and now that you're no longer concelaed, you're pretty much in my grasp!" "Words don't scare me, Mazikin!" As expected, Leraje wasn't so easy to decieve. He immediately realized she wasn't Heleth Mastema. He wasn't surprised. He didn't hesitate. Leraje wasn't one of the strongest demons, but there was a reason he was among the most dangerous. He could see through cheap tricks like shapeshift. The fake Heleth had to resort to something even simpler. She just had to brutally overpower him. ---- "What the!? Who're you!?" An incredolous demoness, with a large blade on her back arrived below the watchpost exactly when shirena stopped burning his victim. "Damn! The Mazikin are attacking!" she shouted, immedately running away. She probably had no long range weapons, and reasonably decided climbimg up to the watchpost would be an open disadvantage. "Sound the alarm!" ---- Obviously surprised at the sight of their companion sent flying like a cardboard cutout, after a second of two of sheer shock, the demons prepared to face the misterious woman popped out of nowhere. One of them immediately extracted the equivalent of a semi-automatic gun and opened fire. Another one casted some sort of magical barrier on itself, while the third demon simply yelled "We're under attack!" and began to run away. OOC (click)

Shirena grinned cheerfully. "Oh, come now, you aren't going to fight me?" He said, quickly sing his new found power to launch fire into her path, setting the area ablaze. "Come on! I hope you know how to use you blade!" He said, before bursting forward, explosions at his feet, and making him progressively faster and faster. The demoness, from what he could tell, quickly went on the defensive, pulling out her large sword into the ground, to keep him at bay. Shirena, not entirely expecting such a move, quickly moved himself upright, and kicking off the blade's hilt. "You make this too easy!" He shouted, taking advantage of the low amount of defenses and armor this demon had, and blasting at her from behind, kicking her in the back of the head, and knocking her unconscious from the force. "And hopefully I didn't make too much noise." He did. Explosions do that. |

The lady of purple tilted her head as if to examine the strange contraption that the demon pulled out before her, a weapon either in mockery of or unspoken praise for a human design. "Is it actually loaded, or...?" She seemed genuinely confused right up until she was pelted by spiritual shots that, whilst managing to tear up good chunks of the scenery around her, seemed only to splash across her surface and otherwise not do very much save for add a few extra holes to her attire, which she hardly noticed. The strange figure sighed, shaking her head. "Magic ammunition? Come on, I can't jam that." Her groan was that of a child who'd had her toy taken away, even as the demon before her tried and tried again to at least do something against her. But even he and his barrier holding compatriot began to step back... "Did I say you could leeeeeave?" Only for her to suddenly be tapping them upon their shoulders, as an apple core dropped to the floor again where she had just been. Before either of the otherworldly creatures could quite finish screaming, she had already grabbed the barrel of the demonic gun and began to swing it around like a bat, causing... well, lets just say 'quite a mess'. "Guess I broke it." Dangling on her pinky the trigger of the weapon before it finally fell apart in a shambles, she cast her eyes upon the distant demon, still trying to get away. The poor thing actually thought it had a chance. "Hup!" With an absolutely terrible smile, she leaned on the side of the watchpost, tapping her staff several times against the ground as she hummed a merry tune. The demon ran and ran, scampering over every little obstacle in his way, yet more and more seemed to appear in its path by the second. Rising fractures of stone, falling bricks and signs and all manner of things, but each step forward to freedom seemed only to close the trap tighter and tighter. By the end, the poor creature tried to pull itself free of a pit that it had fallen into, its own struggles causing the ground to collapse around it, before finally the only thing not buried, was a solitary hand that still twitched ever so slightly, before stopping dead. "So they DO need air! Good to know!" And a dread laughter filled the air... |

Much to the fake Heleth's irritation, Leraje was horribly fast and nimble. Despite the salvo of ice shards in his direction, the archer in black coat easily kept dodging the attacks, moving from a roof to another. The blood on the injured shoulder was reducing its flow already, but it was something Leraje quickly took care of, securing another arrow in the exact same location. The red demon roared in pain a second time, retreating in her smoke form once again. She really underestimated him. That damn acrobat had a precision that could hardly be rivaled. Swiftly reforming on the opposite side of the fountain, she roared in rage "I'll make you pay for that!" On the roofs, Leraje never lost sight of the smoke creature, and quickly focused on her as she reappeared, with an arrow thrown at her. Much to his surprise though, the impostor disappeared in a ripple on air, before his blow could land. Just what was happened? Leraje didn't have time to double check, as instinct made him dodge a piercing attack of moving hair. "How...!?" Impossible! That mazikin used a portal skill to catch him unprepared. And she nearly made it. Leraje moved fast, red eyes blinking under the black hood as he spun on his heels, twirling. Two swords described shiny arcs in the night as they severed the haired tentacles assailing him. The severed hair never touched the ground, fading in dark smoke, but the archer certainly didn't have time to notice. Pushing forward, he dashed through the roof toward the injured impostor. "You won't break Derweze's Seal!" Leraje roared. ---- Shirena's noise was the perfect lure for any soldier tasked to guard the area. His fire was a beacon that drew Shedims to him like moths to a flame. Two other demons, one with a semi-automatic magic gun, the other with a large enchanted axe, arrived from the main road. The long ranged one immediately opened fire toward shirena, covering the advance of the other one. ----- Much to the woman's irritation, her side of the battle went quiet a bit too fast. The three opponents she dealt with were too disadvantaged to really do something, and they didn't even manage to alert others. That made some sense, compared to shirena's explosions, her rumorous game was pretty much silence. Ah such, the watchpost she was in was now empty and silent. |

Shirena immediately took cover as shots were fired at him from the demons he drew to him. "I guess I did make quite a bit of noise, huh..." He said to himself. He quickly took fire into his hand, and began launching the streams of flame at the demons firing upon him. The demons quickly moved out of the way, failing to notice the young one flying upwards, and launching himself at them with a vengeance. As he collided with the long ranged demon, he began to direct a constant volley of embers at the axe wielding one, who dodged with little grace. Shirena encased his fists in fire, and let loose on the demon below him, beating him to a pulp, putting all his strength behind his punches. The searing burns helped too. He grinned, as the other demon final fell to the ground from the constant dodging he's been doing. Shirena quickly stood up, as the embers began to latch onto the skin that armor didn't cover, and quickly kicked him in the face, knocking him unconscious, and letting the fires finish the job for him. |

"...They... really aren't so much of a challenge here, are they? Hellooooooo? Someone for me to crush under my heel? It can be by your own despair!" The purple clad woman seemed almost... lonely as a result of the lack of response to her promises of pain, fingers drumming along the shaft of her staff. "Really, this city is just the worst host. Kimmy was much more considerate when I stopped by in Pyongyang." Shaking her head as she gave several 'tsk, tsk's, the mischievous maiden wiggled her fingers... Pomph And Shirena would find a strange bulge crawling around beneath the robe he wore. "Looks like I got traded with some lint... maybe a lost coin...?" And from that bulge came a voice, skittering about and likely dodge any efforts by the boy to try and grab at it. Eventually, the now miniature maiden popped out at the collar of Shirena's new state of dress, quickly resting herself upon his shoulder as if he were drawing her like one of his french girls. "You may wish to invest in some better body wash, unless terrible body odors are just part and parcel of demonic control these days." The stranger feigned choking as she pinched her nose, before lightly jabbing - with an admittedly tiny fist - the side of the boy's neck. "Having fun? Because I could go for some." |

An increasing number of soldiers was now gathering, as the flames spreaded around, beginning to burn buildings and attaching themselves on anything flammable. Screams of panicked civilians could be heard in the distance. Two of the soldiers, a blue skinned female with white hair and a muscular, horned man with a large beard began casting water magic on the flames. A third mage opened a path in the middle of the fire, and soldiers poured in, in an attempt to stop the two. The fake Heleth dodged by turning incorporeal. Leraje's blades cut through the dark smoke with no effect. The hooded demon didn't stop his advance though, and jumped away as he sheated both weapons. He dodged an ice shard hiding behind a chimney, only to pop out with his bow on hand and a new arrow already flying in her direction. How could he be so fast at shooting? Leraje's skill was renowed, but she could easily do... The arrow pierced her torso. "What!?" Surprise was bigger than pain. The fake Heleth was forced to retreat, her body stiffer than she could realize. The pain wasn't so strong...and her movements were slower. That bastard...that bastard used poisoned arrows! She turned into smoke again, and manaded to evade Leraje by flying down a chimney. Reforming in one of the lowest floor, she hid herself in the darkest corner of the room, behind a large drawer. Her sight was blurred, and her hands were trembling. "Well...played...very well played!" she whispered, sweat forming on her face as she clenched her teeths. Leraje...not one of the strongest, but there was a reason he was feared. The trembling hand closed on the gem hidden in her clothes. A warm orange light shone between her fingers. The effects of the poison were rapidly fading. She had to get ready and ambush him properly. |

Turning misery into meaningfulness!

Shirena, upon noticing that there were no more enemies to fight here, was about to take off, before feeling a...ticklish feeling upon his chest. Looking down, seeing the bulge made by the miniature woman that he had only met so recently, he quickly realized his predicament, and blushed heavily. He quickly tried to grab her through his clothing, but succeeded only in making himself look like a fool. "G-get out of there!" He yelled, before she, after some time, poked out from this collar, and he sighed in a sort of relief. He looked at her, as she rested upon his shoulder, and he was left...more or less confused to her current state, though he asked little. Noting his more than...odd odor, he responded. "I'm fairly sure that is not a human made smell. Or it could be the remaining smoke from the whole...." He looked at the bodies lying around him. "...whole thing that happened earlier." He said, with a soft sigh, though it wasn't much of sadness, or disappointment, not even frustration. It was just tired. Taking the barely noticeable jab, he chuckled half-heartedly, and smiled. "That depends, what do you mean by 'fun.' I think I just finished up beating the hell out of all the demons I could see that were trying to kill me, so that's kinda taken care of. Wish to join me on a little mayhem?" He said with a grin. |

"Chaos. Mayhem. Anarchy. Barely restrained yet very well targeted efforts of malcontent." Raising one leg up and down as if in exercise, the almost pixie like figure beamed up at her companion somewhat expectantly, before stopping, like a dog hearing a whistle. She began to pat down on the boy's shoulder as she stood up, and began to look around... "...This way." And all of a sudden, she suddenly sprung from beside his neck with a great, bounding leap, skirt and cape both billowing in the breeze. With the passing of a collapsing brick, she suddenly returned to a full size, and landed feet first! Namely, onto a soldier that was attempting to fight the spreading fires, two feet in his face. "Toh!" And using that face, the lady in purple leapt back, kicking their victim down the street as she herself landed. With a smirk, she rose to her feet, unbuckling her cape at the neck and holding it out in her arms... "Toro, toro!" And using it to take the absolute piss out of the horned demon that utilised a somewhat aquatic form of arcana. Whether he rose to the provocation or restrained himself, the stranger would not care, and indeed, would charge at him to try and wrap her cape around his skull. Why? Because if she got it tight, then he'd make a good living mace! |
