"Why won't you listen!?" It was happening again. The Ancient Overlord Ingvalt stood in front of the woman he could never beat. The longsword he always carried on him was quickly tossed to the side as he switched to his true style, the style of hand to hand combat he had created and honed to perfection. The blonde woman in front of him, the ancient Queen that he just... kept fighting, moved her lips, but there was no sound. "That's not a reason... Olivie... This time..." his right hand retreated to his side as he leapt forward, a deathly black aura his fist. "...THIS TIME!!" a barrier tried to stop the ancient Overlord's fist, but it was shattered without effort. This was his only technique against her perfected barriers. The technique that could pierce and obliterate all. "I WON'T LET YOU!" Yet, as his hand drew closer and closer to her face, all he could feel was overwhelming sadness. Why was he sad...? Was it because he knew he had already lost? It felt like it happened in slow motion. His fist was caught. Her lips moved once more... and... He was effortlessly overpowered and slammed down. With the very hand to hand moves he claimed to had mastered, he was floored. It hurt. It hurt terribly, but it wouldn't take him out of the fight. "OLIVIE!" His free hand formed this same, deathly aura as well, slamming towards her face... The green-haired girl woke up in the middle of the forest, her eyes suddenly flashing wide open. Her hands moved to the bottom of her long dress, pulling it up to wipe the tears out of her eyes. As always... when this dream happened, her worst dream, she woke up crying. Even though she didn't see the ending this time, it was something she had experienced many times before. The Overlord would struggle pathetically, before finally being overpowered once again. It was horrible. Every single emotion he felt- it wasn't simply a dream. It was hard to call 'memories'. She was truly just... experiencing it once again. Every last bit of pain, every last bit of emotion... "Again..." Einhart spoke to herself, standing up, her eyes still red and her face still marked with the slightest bit of tears. Why wouldn't these tears stop...!? Why wouldn't the terrible dreams stop. The nightmares, the memories, why couldn't they just disappear!? "I'll... simply surpass him..." it was easier said than done. but that was all she had to do, right? If she was stronger than him, strong enough to have changed the fate he had been through... they should stop, right? Einhart had no idea. Einhart had no fatih that it would work. But this was all she knew. Even though she should be fully capable of blooming into a beautiful young woman, because of these terrible memories.... Bloodshed, truly was the only thing she knew for real. |

"Had a nightmare, huh?" With an annoyed sigh, Kell appeared on the scene. Sometimes, she found the weirdest litter when she patrolled the forest. This was no exception. Her lavender eyes quickly scouted the green haired girl out, at least until she realized what she was looking at. At first glance, this girl was pretty built. It wouldn't have been unreasonable to assume she overtrained and passed out, really. But the eyes told a different story. Now, Kell didn't purport to understand people all that well. But she knew the eyes of damaged person when she saw them. After all, they stared back at her every time she looked in the mirror. What was somebody like her doing out here? "Hey now. You don't look so good." The wrestler grumbled, her imaginary companion trailing close behind. "Want to start talking about it?" If it weren't for that brief moment of eye contact, she would've started needlessly antagonizing the green haired girl. Undoubtedly, that would've turned out a lot worse than she had even suspected. Looks like Kell had some heart in her, after all. |

There was only one reaction Einhart had to being approached by someone she didn't know. When her body had recollected its strength, she instantly snapped back into a defensive position, the both of her hands at face-level. It seemed like a pretty clumsy guard, and it kinda was- with how tired she was. But, the person in front of her was a human. A mortal (or so she looked!). She didn't need anything more than 'clumsy and tired'! Those two heterochromic eyes, they stared at the woman in front of her. They never stopped bleeding their tears, and for once, they seemed something different than empty. Because of those dreams she couldn't escape from, she was not very much a 'morning person'. It was pretty much the only situation where she found herself fragile. "Talk...?" the silvery-green haired girl said, tilting her head a bit. While she seemed less aggressive, especially since her voice contained no form of aggressionw whatsoever, her stance only tightened. It was simply reflexive, Einhart tended to see most things around her, things that she hadn't identified yet, as either a potential foe or a potential training target. Her senses finally returned to her at this point. Her tears had stopped, and her eyes had gone completely empty. Those strange purple and blue crystals just completely without any life to them. "About... what?" She wasn't being obtuse. She wasn't being sarcastic. She was simply being really sleepy and horribly awkward. Not only did she fail horribly in social connections regardless of just waking up or not, the fact that she had just woken up made her brain not link 'nightmares' together with 'talking'. She just thought this was some stranger that wanted to talk about random things. And god, that would be awkward |

"The first thing on the list is your name, of course. And then we can discuss what you're doing here." Kell crossed her arms. Life in this place had made her into marshmallow compared to her previous self. But even then, she was pretty easy to antagonize. Despite her previous compassion, she was not averse to switching on to a more active hunting role. The fact that the girl had snapped into a defensive stance the moment she registered Kell's presence was more than a little suspicious. Then again, there were plenty of battle freaks in this school. Not all of them spoke English fluently, though. Was this one new to town? "You're a crying girl in the middle of the forest. Am I supposed to just ignore you and go on my way?" The emptier the eyes, the more dangerous they were. That was the cruel lesson she had learned 2 years ago. And this girl's insides were about as hollow as a scooped-out melon. Best to defuse her before she went and started behaving in scary ways. |

"Oh..." Einhart's respones was as simple as it could could be. For a moment, as if replaying something she had learnt far in the past and cared nothing about, something she had simply been forced to remember about 'formally introducing yourself' because her mother forced her to. Honestly, she had issues remembering the name of people as is. To her, it was nothing more than a simple part of her day that had no worth of being in her memories. The only people whose names she really tended to remember were those she heard every day. ...Honestly, the family that was watching over her, here in Japan? She hadn't even fully grasped their names just yet. To her, they were just 'Aunt', 'Uncle' and 'Cousin'. Of course, her slightly meek way of saying these things made it seem more like her social awkwardness was taking over than that she was simply incapable of remembering her names. Whenever she just woke up, however... she did actually have trouble recalling her own name. "My name is..." after that, she paused a little. Her hands moved to her dress, lifting it up just ever so slightly to make a curtsey, but her introduction missed the beat. Her mind was fighting between 'King Ingvalt', and her actual name that she couldn't recall for a few moments. Hell, she couldn't even remember the ancient King's full name! And introducing herself with just a title and a last name would be weird. After a few seconds, however, clarity returned to her mind, and she finally continued her rather clumsy introduction. "Einhart Stratos." Einhart nodded softly after doing that, her expression still unchanged from the moment after she had recovered... staying silent until the moment the person in front of her started speaking again. What should someone do when they meet a crying person? Well, Einhart would probably ignore them unless they were genuinely calling for help... And, since Einhart wasn't... "Yes, why shouldn't you...?" Her reply was short and made it obvious that she was either trying to act tough or she was missing the point completely. |

"Einhart Stratos, huh?" Kell raised an eyebrow. Considering the people she knew, that was a pretty ordinary name. "I guess I'll have to introduce myself as well. I'm Kell Amaranth." She shrugged, leather jacket squeaking slightly as she did. These were some fine manners that this Einhart was displaying. What a mess of contradictions, really. Messy enough to sleep here, yet polite enough to throw in curtesies while introducing herself. She really didn't get this girl, but she'd deal with that later. For now.... "You probably don't get why I'd approach you. Let's just say that I'd rather not take chances anymore." She said dryly. "Letting cute girls bawl their eyes out never leads to good things, really." She set her mouth in a wry smile. Honestly, she really didn't want to spend so much time in the forest. But she seriously didn't want people to go nuts here, too. The place had some weird qualities to it, almost. Besides, she had developed a weakness towards cuteness in other females. She blamed Cariot for that one. |

'Einhart Stratos' Yes, that was her name. Yet, having it repeated to her made it feel so alien. It was undeniable that that was how she was called, but it was so strangely unfamiliar. Did all names sound like this to their addressees? Or was it simply her unique situation that made it feel so strange? Honestly, Einhart didn't know. Or care, realy. A short, mental note was made out of Kell's name... before probably quickly starting to forget it. It simply wasn't important enough for her to remember, because she truly didn't understand the worth of a name. After all, hers felt so distant to her. When Kell called her cute, however... "Cute?" Einhart tilted her head. What did that mean again... Weren't frail things cute? A small bit of anger started to form on her face, although it was slightly repressed by the thought she might be misunderstanding the word. "I'm not weak..." she moved to her defensive pose once more, somewhat glaring at the other girl. "And... I'm not... bawling my eyes out... they're still in my head." her voice barely changed. It might be misunderstood as a shy tone, but she was simply soft and awkward. Very awkward. Even as she spoke in that meek tone, however, her dukes were raised to her face, keeping a defensive position for if this strange individual suddenly wanted to attack her. "Cuteness is weakness, huh?" Kell ran her gloved hands through her lavender hair. "Now that's an odd thing to say. Why would you assume that I meant that?" Much to her chagrin, she knew a lot of girls who were strong and cute. It got distracting, especially when some of them insisted on showing up frequently. Goddamn it, Hibiki. Removing her palm from her forehead, she gave the girl an appraising look. Yeah, that was a pretty loose stance. But that just belied the strength in those muscles. "Einhart, you're taking this way too seriously." She put her hands to her hips and sighed. "This is time for talk. And right now, I'm wondering why you're acting like you're in a fight?" Perhaps it was in the green haired girl's blood. Well, in this case, it seemed more like a case of martial artist parents than killer luchadors. That said, the difference was that the former lended a push towards more unnecessary fights rather than less. That idea brought a pang of shameful memory. Yeah, she had grown out of those random fights. Question was, did her counterpart do the same? "Now, come on. Let's sit down before something bad happens. You're stronger than me, but are you going to pummel me for no good reason?" |

"It... isn't?" Einhart asked, another tilt of her hand following. Her anger faded as quickly as it came, not seeing the need to remain angry when it was clear she was misunderstanding. Once more, she made a quick, simple curtsey, as always, her hands pulled back up into her defensive stance soon after.. "My... apologies, then." Einhart wasn't mean or anything. She, deep down, aws kind and gentle. The kindness and gentleness just never came into play. She had more important things to worry about. If someone was stronger than her, they were going to get fought, if they were weaker than her, they were generally not going to get notice. It wasn't important to her. It wasn't relevant. It wouldn't further her goals... and until she accomplishes her goal, she simply couldn't stop fighting! There simply wasn't a lot of... thought, put into anything else, for Einhart. "Too seriously?" she asked, not quite understanding how you could take any stranger too seriously, before stepping back as Kell commented on how this wasn't a fight... and finally lowering her fists. If it wasn't a fight, it wasn't a fight. However, since it wasn't a fight, and one apparently wasn't happening, Einhart's attention would slowly start to wander... "If... you think I'm stronger than you." Einhart said, pausing for a moment and looking the female over, before sitting down. Right, she simply seemed like she wouldn't be worth a challenge. Or, at least, worth enough of a challenge to fight. If a fight happened, it happened, but otherwise... Training with emptiness would be a better use of her strength. "Then I won't fight. There's no reason to fight those weaker. It won't help me improve." her answer was quick and honest. She simply saw no need in fighting someone that wouldn't help her improve. "It's fine. I've not had to deal with anybody reasonable in a while." Kell smiled. "Having somebody listen for once is great, you know." Kell didn't quite catch the finer aspects of Einhart's personality. Indeed, her insight was rather limited in that regard. But what she did find was that despite the girl's strength, she gave off the feeling that she was somebody who deserved to be protected. In that, Kell found a reason to be friendly. Einhart wasn't a bad person at all, therefore she could be trusted to not make a mess. That said, she really didn't like having to deal with somebody who was a complete battle freak. At least with Rikina, there was their mutual pursuit of justice. But fighters who took each other on for the sake of it rankled her somewhat. That said, the idea did tickle her fancy. "Improve, huh? What's important enough for you to work towards?" She raised one eyebrow. Somewhere in her heart, the lavender haired girl felt that Einhart's reason was something deeper than just revenge or mastery for its own sake. Maybe it was just her bias, but she didn't quite know how to deal with people with complex motives. |

Reasonable. Huh. She had never quite heard that word used in context with her before. She generally got called unreasonable for being so crazily dedicated to train. Well, she vaguely remembered the saying 'There's a first time for everything', and she that probably applied to this being the first time she was called... reasonable. Einhart made a faint nod, her hands pressing together against one another on her lap. Why did she want to become stronger? Her goal was something that could only be called delusional. She was working towards something she didn't even know if it would work or not. But, what else would work...? "I try to improve, because..." She didn't know how to answer this. In a way that would make sense. If she said, it's because she lost to someone in a dream, it wouldn't really come across as she intended. Einhart was visible starting to get a bit flustered. Not embarrassed out of shyness, but out of her sheer inability to succeed in explaining this situation. Einhart was not one for losing. "I... lost to someone long ago." It wasn't a lie. She couldn't separate herself from the Overlord in her memories. They were one and the same, simply spread apart by time, were they not? And, really, it was the reason why she was training. "And because I lost, I lost something important to myself..." every time that final duel replayed in her head, she knew he was losing something. As a King fighting a Queen, it probably had their countries on the line, didn't it...? But, whether it was or wasn't, she simply couldn't remember... except that it was very important to her. "So important that... I can't even recall what I lost." |

"Huh." Kell quirked her eyebrows again. Well, that was a real.... "Ordinary thing to say." It really was. Compared to the wrestler's motivations, the green haired girl's words were completely normal. And that was good. Although it did make her wonder how somebody so sane would get stuck here. Hyakuji wasn't a bad time, but it was a box filled with loonies that really shouldn't be left unsupervised. Even the current supervisors were all insane. The mad were running the asylum, so to say. "I can't fault you on that one. At least you might be able to reclaim whatever it is you lost." She said reassuringly. "People like me, we can never get what we really want. We don't have the dreams that can be accepted by just anybody." It was a rather blase thing at this point. Her life's goals were to die for a cause eclipsed by her care for a certain special someone. It really wasn't a problem to talk about anymore. "I guess what I'm trying to say that if you want to get ready to fight to get back what you lost, I can help you out. I'm not a good person to fight, but I do get into a lot of trouble with stupidly strong enemies. Real trouble magnet here." She smiled wryly as she pointed to herself. "How about it, Einhart? Growing tired of peaceful days?" |

"Ordinary?" Really? Well, Einhart hasn't ever heard that one either. It was a very strange day to her already, being called both 'reasonable' and 'ordinary'. While it wasn't making her outright embarrassed, she was getting more and more flustered. Because of her lack of social experiences, she wasn't quite sure how to react. And that was... well, a rather awkward feeling. "I really... really want it back." was all that Einhart could respond with to her second comment. She couldn't even comprehend what it was! She just felt an emptiness. The emptiness of loss, an emptiness that had been there forever. Hell, she wasn't even too sure if she really did lose something! It was just... the only thing that sounded like it made sense to her. And it was taken away by that Queen Olivie, wasn't it? "I... see." so this person was fighting for a dram, too, huh? Well, it made sense. She did look like someone that gets into fights, with that strange arm of her... Did she lose it in a fight with someone much stronger than her? Einhart would normally not care, but considering she was speaking about fights, and having her fight people... Einhart started to... sparkle. You could see stars of happiness along with a shining expression on her face. Although she wasn't smiling, she was clearly quite excited by the thought of fighting with powerful people! "If you really have strong people to fight..." Einhart said, standing up and moving to make yet another curtsey. Her manners were all over the place. "Then I will assist." Even if it wouldn't make her stronger, maybe she could meet Queen Olivie through this? Even though countless eons had passed since now and then, if the ancient Overlord's will carried on, hers might be as well, right? "These opponents, they better be... truly powerful." her hands moved away from her dress as she ended her curtsey, her arms wrapping together behind herself. A slight redness had formed on her cheek, but not one of embarrassment, but she was simply getting very excited! "...because if it's a fight, it's impossible for me to lose." |

"People like us all want things back." Kell said with a wry smile. "I'm just surprised that you'd be the first I met who has a chance at it." It wasn't really all that great of a feeling to be unlucky like the rest, but at the same time Kell couldn't bring herself to dislike her. Einhart was somebody who was so earnest about reclaiming what had been lost. It was a tragic struggle, one that she couldn't find the heart to disparage. One of these days, she'd probably try to fight like Einhart did. And on that day, would she want to be crushed without any help or even good will? She reached out with her real hand, as if to seal the deal with a handshake. Einhart's happiness at the prospect of fighting strong opponents really was adorable. Her battle freak tendencies and her confidence were amazing, enough that she chose to help without any hesistation. Even if she hadn't been a person in need of help, the green haired girl's battle prowess would have been enough for Kell to seek her out. "You don't have to worry about your opponents, Einhart. They'll be tough enough to give you a real challenge." She smiled, approving of the fighter's pride. |

A real chance to regain what she lost... Yeah. That's right. With strength, you can carve your path. With strength, you can protect the things dear to you and make sure that they won't be taken away. With strength, she'd be able to break the chains that kept her tied to her past... right? Or... at least, the pain that kept her tied to the past. Was it really necessary to abandon her identity as the ancient Overlord? Without that, she would lose the only thing she was sure off... Thinking about it, no matter what happened, the only thing she could do was fight more. Grasp at power as long as she can move. What else would she do...? Without this goal, she really had nothing to live for. These chains gave her pain. But these chains also gave her a purpose. On one hand, these chains cursed her to be incapable of letting go of something that happened thousands of years ago. On the other hand, this incapability meant that she would never feel lost. "Right..." Einhart's hand moved forward as that handshake was offered, grasping onto it just ever so slightly. However, her pose was rather weird. Her body reflexively moved to stand parallel to Kell's and her hand would move to make sure the handshake would meet where Einhart's chest was now. While it seemed like an innocent movement, and it was something she always did during handshakes, it was a position where she could grapple people from easier. "I cannot wait to meet these.... individuals..." her voice had increased in volume, but just a tad. She was still rather silent, but she was ALMOST talking at a regular speaking volume now! "There's no problem... if I end up breaking them a bit, right?" the problem Einhart faced was usually getting carried away. While a simple arm or leglock looks simple and silly, they are 'submission holds' for a reason. They force you to submit from the sheer pain... or else they'll end up with a broken limb. Einhart kinda wanted to be certain if she had to use them for the submission purpose or the actual one. |
