To Levia's surprise, the NOVA fastened about his neck reacted to his words. A soft blue glow emanated from one of the Quartz, covering the boy as whatever craft worked. Then, in a near instant, a ball of water came into existence before him. It held stationary for just a moment, allowing Levia the brief window to stare with mouth ajar, before colliding into the hologram.

Well, guess he wasn't such a bad mage after all! If only father could see him now!

...He probably wouldn't be very amused.

As the soldier was pushed back from the ball of water, Levia took the opportunity to get onto his feet. However, his prior confidence was beginning to dwindle as his opponent uncrossed his arms, completely unscathed from the water grenade.

"You're pretty tough," Levia muttered dejectedly.

Well, despite it being such an achievement for him, the power output of that spell was upon the lower end of the magecraft spectrum. Lethe's own output was exponentially greater. Though, using one of the Caras' treasures were probably out of bounds; this was a test for the NOVA's capabilities. Bringing anything else in would probably skew the data.

Deciding on relying solely upon the NOVA's, Levia readied himself to cast use another Orbal Art as the hologram began charging straight for him again.

"Orbal art-" Levia brought his arms forward again, the same moment as the hologram lunged into his punch.

"Ice-Not the face!" Seriously, why was the hologram going for his face!? Instantly retracting himself, Levia moved to get his face out of the way. It worked partially. Instead of colliding straight into his septum, the fist jammed into Levia's angled shoulder. The force from the blow, and the unsteady fotting from his attempted dodge, sent Levia stumbling back a few feet, with nary a fraction of the grace the hologram had composed.

"R-rude!" Levia berated, the smallest hint anger in the young man's voice. Though, most likely for all the wrong reasons. Bruising a shoulder was probably fine, but a broken and bloody that was obviously much more important. Ugh, blood.

"Didn't anyone ever teach you manners?"

Probably not.

Well, guess we all had to start somewhere. Maybe the threat of damaging his immaculate features will cause Levia to take this exercise a little more seriously. Grasping his bearings once again, this time Levia decided to take the initiative.

"Guess I'll have to educate you properly!" Levia shouted, his own version of a threat. Or taunt. Or something... like that. Whipping his arm to the side, Levia gauged the distance between him and the soldier. Enough, but he would prefer more.

"Orbal Art, Ice Shard!" The frozen spike swirled into existence, before jettisoning forward towards the faux man. However, that wasn't all to Levia's play; the moment the shard shot forward Levia kicked his feet, hopping backwards, increasing the expanse between the two combatants. If against a stronger, and physically capable opponent, a mage should keep their distance.

And drown the opposition with firepower.

"Water Grenade!" Barely half a second from casting his first art, Levia was throwing out another one. It would seem the blonde was no slouch to spell-slinging, despite his normal nonchalance. However, the question was whether the NOVA, and the Quartz, could handle firing twice in such succession.

Well, this was a test to determine things just like that, right?

Unable to find any further reason to withhold her blade, Yukari turned the sword over to the scientist and listened quietly as the test was explained to the group. She studied the explanation of the Quartz she had been given, knowing the such knowledge would be useful in this test.

Yukari exchanged glances with her fellow bracers as glass walls suddenly shot up from the floor to separate each of them into their own little test areas. As the test began Yukari saw a holographic soldier rush her. Her first reaction was to prepare to side-step and counter...but then she realized that the point of the test was to demonstrate the quartz and not just her own skills.

"Umm how does this work...oh right...Orbital Art...FIRE WALL!"

Yukari gestured with her hand, unsure if she really needed to but somehow it just felt right. Her hesitation nearly cost her but sure enough a wall of flames appeared just infront of her, blocking the soldier's path to her but also partially obstructing her view of the soldier hologram.
