There are no miracles.

Following the two brief words, the once quaint crackling rose in frequency, strength and intensity. All of the neglected and accrued stress broke free, ringing a harrowing shrill within the very sky itself. A clear distortion of space emanated from the air above them - warping, stretching, before finally subsiding for a brief moment. Then, in the next, the force seemed to abruptly multiply ten-fold, causing the 'sky' to reach what seemed to be the absolute zenith of it's structured existence. S h a t t e r That was the shatter that would reach their ears, as a gaping hole in the sky forged itself, it's size standing at a little less than the height of a person. Slam. A pale set of crimson fingers gripped the edges of the broken glass-like rift, prying it open with unbridled and unpredictable force. At a simple glance, it was obvious whatever it belonged to was not human. As the sky seemed to initially fight back towards the foreign assault, the dimensions of the rift only grew in size as it succumbed under the gargantuan power driving it's monstrous grip. Each blow stronger than the last. Crack. Crack. Until it gave way. The sharpened head of an indescribable creature emerged from the nothingness, it's claws prying the rift further and further apart, until exposing a metallic-esque chest which hummed with a faint dark blue. It was most similar to a dragon, yet not so at the same time. A ragged breath was drawn as it continued to force it's way into this world, size nearly rivaling that of the abomination on the other side. However, it did not talk, or show any semblance of sentience at all. It's origins and purpose, along with it's thoughts were shrouded in mystery. ![]() The titan claws stepped over Adour, barely missing his head as it sent chunks of the ground and dust into the air with each impact. And as it withdrew itself from it's primal four legged gait, the wingless 'dragon' stepped onto it's hind legs, shoulders unusually hunched, before the creature reared it's head. The most strangest sound. Although it's maw laid agape, the discordance produced from it was illogical, nonsensical and indecipherable. With a hard slam to the ground, the dragon gripped the foundations beneath it with enough force to easily crush a lengthy bus. Then, it began to drive itself forward, creating an unimaginable path of havoc along the expanse of the sudden movement, desecrating and ravaging anything within it's grasp. It showed no sign of reserve, consciousness or civility - only the very basic primal desires of chaos. It would raze a straight bee-line forward, until it would finally, if unopposed, cause a complete frontal collision with Larue. Edited by MegaBreak, Mar 27 2014, 10:35 PM.

The Reaper charged forward, the metal of her scythe tracing a metal blue line through the air as Sophia immobilized the doll with her hold. But, it couldn't help but feel a bit redundant; Lorelei did not resist, did not even move the slightest muscle as the killing edge swung towards her. And her eyes held no more struggle. This isn't the ending she had wished for, but it was ending she had chosen. "The world turns." The scythe cut soundlessly through her frame. But there was no blood, and no wound drew forth from the massive weapon. But the reaper's blade glowed a translucent blue, humming slightly. Sophia's position as a Valkyrie might recognize what would've just occurred, as it was also a Valkyrie's charge to perform this deed. The Reaper had harvested her- its' soul. The Reaper drew her scythe back to herself, placing a petite pale hand upon the blue blade. Surprisingly, Sophia would notice that the Reaper's nails were painted light pink.
Now that the Reaper mentioned it, Sophia would realize that the... thing she now held seemed limp and more heavy, as if her arms supported all of its weight. The doll's hair covered its face like a curtain, but it didn't take such a wild imagination to visualize what it would look like. Nothing? Wide-eyed surprise, like a common corpse? Or a placid smile? "We have other things to attend to now," the Reaper spoke, supporting her scythe on her shoulder. Following her eyes, one would see that they fixated on the confrontation that was occurring some distance away. Another titan had ripped a hole in the sky, confronting Larue. Its claws and maw were draped with a deep crimson, unlike the immaculate color of Edda's dragon. Markings ordained its flank. One word that could describe it was brutal. And perhaps "predatory". Stepping forward, the Reaper began to head towards the scene. Or more specifically, the hole the creature had ripped in the sky. "Go find Adour," the Reaper suggested as she began moving away. Lifting a finger, the girl pointed to the gaping rip. She seemed surprisingly calm, despite two giants now fighting in this scaleless forest. "That's our way out." %"An Anima...?"% The clawed hand tore into the ground, sending dirt and debris into the air. The area surrounding the red robed man was completely ravaged. But Adour remained relatively unscathed, a mere few feet from the fallen arm. A quip of surprise escaped Larue, as the robed man had somehow avoided its attack. %"That would mean..."% "Surprised?" Adour smiled from beneath his hood. The man then lifted his hand, which now held a sleek looking blade. He pointed the queer blade at the dragon. "I had wanted to avoid using this, but I guess this works out too," Adour admitted in a saddened, shrugging slightly. Playfully, the boy slashed at the air a few times, as if showing off a new toy."So, had you figured it out yet? Don't you recognize my soul?" %"I see it,"% the ethereal voice shot back. Larue withdrew its arm, seemingly in a daze as Edda pondered on what Adour had just revealed to her. %"So that is the form they now take. And that would make you..." Then suddenly, the voice began to giggle. %"But even then, that changes nothing. So, you wield an Anima, do you honestly think that that can stand up to me? In my world? Here, I am a god!" Edda taunted, realizing that she still held the vast advantage over Adour. %"And if you think a measly thing such as blood would stop me from crushing you, you're mistaken." "My Anima can do a lot more than just cut you down!" Adour declared, raising his eccentric sword skyward. "Fortuna!" The blade pulsed, before releasing a translucent pulse. Then, a monster appeared before Edda. Or, more accurately, Edda finally saw that feral creature, fast approaching Larue. To all eyes but her, the arrival of this opposing demon had been as plain and obvious as day. However, it took only an instance for the witch to process what had just occurred, and what Adour had done. Anger flared, as the Odic force permeating through the forest swelled. "C-Caleb!? I thought you were killed!" Edda exclaimed to the world. Larue reacted accordingly, bringing forth his arms to halt the charging aggressor before its gaping maw could reach him. Though, the force from the impact pushed the tree like dragon back some considerable distance leveling at least one or two trees. However, Larue wasn't done, and before the newcomer could plunge forth another attack, it brought back its hand, aiming to cleave it across the face. Meanwhile, Adour remained motionless, his emotion indiscernible as the two titans locked before him. However, one more soul would arrive, from the crack that now occupied a large portion of the sky. Well, to be accurate, two individuals arrived. Though, one of them was merely a body. A shell A blonde man stepped through the hole, landing upon the sky of this world. His skin tone was tinged, signifying perhaps a middle eastern or Egyptian heritage. However, what would be most apparent were his eyes. One of the richest gold. And another of the brightest blue.

This… this was too much. Sophia knew that the shattering couldn’t have been a good sign, but this was beyond anything she was expecting. First Larue became a dragon, then Lorelei turned out to be a parasitic being, and now they were joined by some unknown monstrosity with a razor sharp nose and a trident tail. At least his newcomer didn’t seem interested in the Reaper or the Valkyrie, so that was definitely a relief. By now Sophia barely had the strength to hold up the ‘lifeless’ body of the doll, and she now dropped it to whatever fate awaited it in the madness below. “I’m no fan of his, but if that’s what it takes… very well. I hope in the meantime you will secure our passage out.” Sophia dived back into the carnage below and started looking for signs of their quarry. Somehow she can’t shake the feeling that she was still being played, but there was too much she didn’t know so she was forced to play along. In hindsight she really should have kept an ace up her sleeve, her arsenal of spells was more or less exhausted and her wings will fade soon, so she had to find Adour quick. The Valkyrie landed on the forest floor a short distance away from the battle where she had last seen the blonde young man, not wanting to attract attention to herself. Edda’s announcement followed by the tree dragon’s counterattack signalled a momentary distraction for Sophia to make her move, and she quickly stepped in behind the temporarily forgotten Adour. “The Reaper did her job Adour, Lorelei is no more.” Despite her civil words there was no mistaking the look of distrust on her features. After all she’s been through, can you really blame her? “She has a way out, so if you want to leave now’s the time to do it.” |

The 'dragon's' grasp held tight as it forced Larue backwards, scraping and forging a barren trail among the once lush forestry. A massive billow of dust and rock flew into the sky upon the impact, signifying the beginning of their skirmish. Once the reckless charge met it's end, Larue's clawed hand was already mid flight, the shadow of the appendage towering over it's right side. But nothing of that size could move fast enough to evade such a strike. Searing pain pulsed across the 'dragon's' right side of the head, as the claws drew a huge wave of blood into the air. The claw ripped, tore and rendered the skin of it's opponent apart, producing an eerie, meat-ripping sound. Although the attack itself was rather short-lived, it was apparent that the damage was more or less lethal, even for a creature of such stature. However, instead of a feral scream or cry of agony, the thing only shook in it's place. A low growling hummed from within the crevices of it's jaws, until an almost visible pale breath seemed to seep forth. It's grip had not lost strength in the slightest from the attack, but reciprocally intensified, the edges and ebbs along it's body growing more pronounced than before. As if it were given some kind of heavy stimulant, the 'dragon' writhed and bathed in it's own pain. It's crimson eyes were covered in the darkest of blood. The only thing within those eyes was the opponent before it - nothing else existed inside that blind gaze. Completely disregarding the gushing wound on it's right side, the 'dragon' drove it's head forward, pushing closer and closer towards Larue's pale shoulders. As the two monstrosities met one another in combat, it would soon become apparent that Larue easily towered over the other; however, despite this, it continued to struggle against the lightly toned behemoth, tenaciously clinging to Larue's body. The first blood had been drawn, throwing the creature into a bloodthirsty state of crazed frenzy. There seemed to be nothing that could possibly cease this inevitable battle from occurring. With a voracious snarl, it would throw it's mouth agape, in preparation for sinking it's jagged row of serrated teeth into the flesh before it. Even with just a simple examination of it's anatomy, it would become clear that this thing specialized not in upper nor lower body strength, but on the magnitude of it's crushing and over-sized jaw. Sustaining a direct blow of this force would unmistakably leave any bus split into two, but was it nearly enough to fell such a gigantic beast? Edited by MegaBreak, Apr 6 2014, 12:51 AM.

Well, that was normal. Or at least as normal as this deranged world could possibly be. Despite what was happening, everything was still susceptible to causality. But Sophia still couldn't help but feel that she was missing something, a vital peice of the puzzle in order to make sense of all this that was happening. However, as she probably realized, no one was willing to give her a straight answer. Not easily, in any case.
"But the grande finale is about to begin!" Adour laughed as Sophia mentioned leaving. Waving his arm to the scene, the robed man looked like an auctioneer of some exquisite piece of art. And it was definitively a scene, as the two behemoths assaulted one another. A mass of fangs, screams, maws, limbs, and, of course, blood. "Exquisite, isn't it?" Adour sighed wistfully, dispelling the curious saber from his grasp. Nonetheless, he went along easily, taking a few steps towards Sophia, with only a slight shrug as protest.
... As Sophia approached the crack in the sky, two individuals would come into view. Sophia would be able to recognize one of the individual as the lilac-haired reaper, though the one standing a short distance away, closer to the crack, was a stranger. A blonde boy, with a slightly tanned complexion. The two seemed to be caught in some discussion, with the Reaper's face hinting at agitation or annoyance. Her scythe was also nowhere in sight. As Sophia drew closer, the two stopped, turning their eyes to the Valkyrie and Adour. And it would be then that Sophia would see the stranger carrying what could only be described as a corpse in his arms. It was obviously a girl, judging by the shape and the dress that covered it. Her skin was a pale, deathly complexion, with waxen hair covering whatever pained expression rigor mortis might've sealed upon her visage.
So this was the man Adour had been working for. And in, extension, the Reaper too. Cerul; Sophia had probably heard that name several times already. The first protege of Larue Estus, architect of this world.
Seemingly satisfied, Adour clenched his fist, causing the sigil to minimize, before disappearing altogether. A light chuckle escaped from the man. "I intend to." But Cerul's attention wasn't upon Adour anymore. Slowly, the heterochromatic eyes passed down to the scene below. Like a painter, giving one last glance at his own hideous piece of work. An incredible eyesore, but the fact that he still put so much time and effort warranted one last glance. The blue was soft, almost like pastel, yet belied an abysmal deepness. Whilst, the golden eyes shone almost like metal, reflecting the light. The two didn't look like they belonged together. And in the next moment, Sophia would find those eyes at her. "..." But Cerul said nothing. For the smallest of moments, all he did was stare, and spoke nothing. Then- "█" An indiscernible, primordial tone. Sound. A morpheme, that held the expanse of all the world's encyclopedias. A word that had crashed into oblivion along with the Babel. Adour flinched visibly, whilst the silent Reaper gave a soft gasp as a wave of energy fluttered from Cerul. But it wasn't malice. If anything, it felt warm. And comforting. Sophia would be able to feel a single message in the euphoria. No word in any language could convey what Cerul had jsut said, but if she were to force a conenction, attempt to meagerly translate what was conveyed, she would find only one thing. Gratitude. Then, the boy did one more thing, a form of communication even more ancient than his primordial tongue. So prevalent and universal this was, that Sophia would have no trouble understanding. He smiled. And with that simple gesture, Cerul turned his back upon them, walking towards the crack in the sky. "Wait five minutes after I leave before you do so," Cerul spoke over his shoulder to the three. "Then, you'll be taken home. Back to the world in which you had arrived from." Though he said "you", Cerul referred to all three present. And perhaps one other. Cerul glanced down. "And fare you well, noble soul." Then, without another glance, the blond disappeared into the whirling phantasmagoria beyond the unshaven crack, leaving behind Adour, a Valkyrie and a Reaper. After a moment, Adour shifted his eyes downwards, observing the fight below. Despite his unpredictable nature, he seemed inclined to follow Cerul's instructions. The same could be said of the Reaper, who was standing not far off Sophia's opposite side. And she was staring intently at the Valkyrie. There was still a few minutes left of this excursion, and Sophia was probably left with even more questions than answers. First blood. Larue was first to break through the aggressor's defenses, first to wound. However, that only seemed to incite the feral beast further, as it began to hum, a sort of ecstatic purr. Despite nearly having half of its face torn off, the mysterious creature showed no sign of relenting. %"You..."% Edda muttered. Her was taunt. She couldn't derive anything about this mysterious invader. Its motive, intentions and origins were all blind to her. Additionally, it seemed incapable of understanding her speech. Or perhaps just unwilling. Its crimson mired eyes met the hazy white of Larue. Both were blind, one by bloodlust, and the other by subservience. Neither of them had the choice to step down, or the will to even recognize it. Primal and bound, neither would stop until the other was nothing more than wrecked waste. The stranger plunged forward, its maw snapping ferociously. Larue roared deafeningly, the branch like appendages whirling from its back. A pale blue energy began to radiate about the sails, as if a hive of fireflies had just been stirred. Suddenly, the presence in the world intensified, as if the world's gravity had just doubled. Od. Odic force sprang forth from the ground in innumerable quantities, visible to everything but the eyes. A pounding drum. A deafening rumble. As if the very air was vibrating in rebellion. A testament on just who ruled this world. %"I am. Here I rule.%" Edda affirmed, her voice omnipresent yet quiet. As the dragon's mouth clasped around the nape of Larue's neck, a bonecrushing snap echoed into the sky. The long neck suddenly went limp, like a deflating balloon, as foreign blue blood spurt forth like a fountain. A killing blow, in all and any natural sense of the word. %"And you will bow to me!"% But it wasn't blood. It was sweet, like the sap from a fruit-bearing tree. Despite losing its neck, two long feigned arms were brought up, before encircling the dragon. That was because, the thing wasn't alive. Larue died the moment Edda's knife cleaved through his flesh. What was left was a simple puppet. A tree, a demented form of killer flora, controlled by the parasitic energy that flowed through the ground. Edda's energy populated this world. In here, she was indomitable. Then, the appendages, sharpened and glowing with magical energy, shot up, before diving down towards the captured beast. %"That is the rule of nature! The law of life!"% The voice laughed, as the foreign attacker was now in relatively dire strait. Her tone dropped then, as she caught her breath. %"The weak can only feed the strong, Caleb...!"% Ah, so that's what it was. "Caleb" wasn't just fighting the very beast before him. "He" was confronting the entire amount of energy in this world. Enough Odic force to power and fuel an entire existence, forest, ecosystem. There was no way in which Caleb could win. Or survive. %"And you are weak! Is that what you are trying to prove?!"% The roots dived down, aiming to pierce the dragon, consuming it inside out. %"You're a failure. You failed back then, just as you fail now."% Edited by Fallen_shinku, Apr 7 2014, 09:05 PM.

Sophia could only watch in a stunned fascination as the one known as Cerul held up his end of whatever bargain he had made with Adour, a set of notes apparently. She knew that knowledge was power, and it worried her what someone like Adour might do with it. The way he responded didn’t help ease her worries, but she understood that there was nothing she could do to stop it, not now at least. All thoughts of worry fled her mind when Cerul’s eyes fell upon her however, the twin coloured orbs seemed to mesmerize her with their radiant enigma. She left out a small gasp as he “spoke” to her in a melody that resonated deep within her. Even if she couldn’t understand what he said there was no mistaking his meaning. He was thanking her. A part of the Valkyrie still wondered if she made the right choice, but she felt that if she was helping someone like him, things would turn out for the best. Hopefully. She looked down at the two raging titans below, watching them battle over lordship of this world. A thought occurred to her and she turned to the Reaper. There were hundreds of questions racing through her mind, but this one took precedence over them one. “If this world is Evray… What happens to him now? Is he going to… die?” |

There are no miracles.

The feminine voice boomed seemingly from nothing, coaxing and boasting it's omnipotent power within this world. As it's mouth sunk into the flesh of the dragon, producing the most disgusting sound possible, a faint, but absolute 'snap' rung throughout the field. However, that snap was almost unnatural, unbelonging and eerie. Instead of the satisfying sensation the beast was somewhat more expecting of, it was left with a rather bizarre after-taste. There was only one thing for certain. It was definitely not blood. It took a moment before the monster had affirmed Larue's death quite definitely - the neck had been snapped, severed from the connections of it's body and the liquid gushing into it's mouth must have been his 'blood'. However, the voice continued to speak. In the next moment, it's body was constrained by a restrictive force, bounding it's ragged torso from all sides. And that irritating, condescending tone ranted onwards. The beast snarled in disdain as it was forcible held in place by the lifeless tendrils, trying to struggle against it's grasps in futility. Had it fallen for a trap? To reaffirm the worsened situation at hand, the living corpse countered with an attack of it's own - two elongated limbs which flew upwards into the air, before combining the forces of gravity and magic into an attack aimed towards impaling it's opponent. And it would. 'Caleb' would have been consumed, engulfed by the being's attacks, crushed under the pressure of the ocean of Odic Force. What could possibly fight against the will and power of this entire world? In this plane of existence, Edda was omnipotent. God. There was no feasible or conceivable scenario in which 'Caleb' could emerge victorious. The quiet and deadly waves of ethereal mist circled and filled the surrounding area; concentrating and accumulating to the extent of being completely visible, if not harmful to any normal people. But of course, there were no 'normal' people here. This torrent of life would also signify the end. Once again, blood was drawn. The reinforced tendrils infused with both Od and superior strength had 'struck' the creature. But not completely. With a pronouncedly stressed grasp, two pale sets of fingers drenched in blood shook lightly - a recoil of adverting the damage from the attack. When had it escaped the clutches of Larue's grasp? The Od brooding within the murderous roots surged, threatening to consume any forlorn material that was to make direct contact with the things. However, the energy reacted differently towards it. Strangely. The flow of the Od was thrown into disorder. What was once an autonomous flow of energy became a teeming flare of misdirection. There was an established verdict no longer. It flew, traveled and rebounded chaotically, as if thrown into a state of disorientation. And then there was 'it'. Not only did the surrounding force not hinder the creature's movements in the slightest, it almost seemed as if it moved more easily within this field. The animal thrived in this environment. Intensifying it's grasp, the fingers dug into the flesh of the appendages with an unforeseeable strength - if it did not break the hardened, the sheer force would most likely be enough to cease any movement. And once again, the monster threw it's head into Larue. But instead of engaging with it's jagged teeth first, it would first drive the bladed tip of it's nozzle straight into the pearled dragon's upper body. It was trying to overpower Larue's massive body with sheer brute force. |

A form shifted from beside the two girls, as Adour took his attention from the battle below. He turned his head slightly, eying the Reaper from over his shoulder.
"However, the one thing he can't see is the future. His eye only give him absolute truth, but he cannot deduce what will happen."
But her scythe did nothing but cut through the air, as if the magician was never there to begin with. Sophia would see the blonde to now stand a short distance ahead, within a step from the "exit".
"Damn it!" the Reaper shouted, as she stopped just a steps breadth from the portal. She seemed to have her mind set on diving in after the mysterious boy, but something held her back. Cerul had told them to wait exactly five minutes, and even within this world, it was obvious that that time hadn't elapsed yet. And would it be wise to ignore the words of one who can gleam the absolute truth? Thus, the Reaper was left, standing outside the gate, her knuckles bare white as they gripped the wood of the scythe painfully. Spitting, the girl then dismissed her scythe, standing silently afterwards. %"What...?"% Edda made a sound of surprised, as the creature continued to move, writhe, and resist despite being impaled. The roots began to pulsate, feeding off the internal energies of the beast. In a matter of minutes, it would be reduced to compost, a primordial energetic Od, and infused into the magical cycle of this world. Yet, it could still move. It could still fight. Something was wrong. Something was off. "You're not exactly omniscience either!" That taunting voice echoed in Edda's mind. Something was happening in her world, and she couldn't tell what it was. Already, the air felt different, tinged ever so slightly with the faintest foreignness. Like a contaminate that had somehow drifted its way into her pool. %"This energy..."% Stab. Somehow, the creature impaled through Larue's lifeless corpse. The sound of breaking bark echoed and crack through the atmosphere. Crunch. Edda gasped inaudibly. Feast. Consumption. Predation. %"You... You're not Caleb."% Whoever it was, this etranger was eating, consuming, Larue's draconic corpse, even as the impaled roots pumped out its Od in extraneous quantities. Finally, Edda showed herself, materializing a short distance above this wretched circled of consumption. She needed to see it for herself, this sole individual who threatened the whole stability of her world. And the more she looked upon it, the more it confounded her. It was intrinsically familiar, but all too foreign to her. What had Cerul done? What did he do to amass such a creature...? Why did it seem so familiar? it was obviously not the Caleb, but she couldn't shake off the resemblance... Edda glanced back down. Already, a hallowed blue cavity had already formed where this dragon had gorged into Larue's chest. Wordlessly, her eyes full of apprehension and disdain, Edda lifted her fingers skyward. Her lips began moving silently, calling forth an incant only she could recognize. Magecraft; a swelling ball of fluid red began swirling before her. A pulse pushed through the world, heralding her intention. It was only a matter of time until the dragon ate through whatever remained of Larue. However, until then, Edda had the pristine opportunity of a still target. The ball before her began to swell, and swirl. Edited by Fallen_shinku, Apr 14 2014, 10:50 PM.

Even though Sophia was still as confused as she was before Adour and the Reaper answered her, at least one thing was clear. Evray wouldn’t die, and that was good enough for the time being. Honestly she had been quite worried when Adour said Cerul attacked knowing that it would kill Evray, thankfully something, Sophia didn't know what, had prevented that from happening. There were probably going to be consequences later, but they could deal with that later when the time comes. For now… she should focus on what she could do to keep those consequences to a minimal. The Valkyrie didn’t even deem to give Adour a response as he left with that last arrogant statement, instead choosing to direct her attention to the Reaper. “Val… was it?” It felt more appropriate to address the girl using her name for some reason. “What did Cerul promise you? Can he be trusted?” The life of a friend was at stake and she had a feeling that she wouldn’t be able to stay in this world much longer, so if she was to do anything, it had to be now. |

At first, Sophia's voice was met with silence. It was as if her question was hushed by the swirling winds, falling silently before reaching those lilac locks. The Reaper made no sign that she had heard Sophia. Then, with the sudden sagging of her shoulder, the girl let out a weary sigh. "Yes," the Reaper spoke, still turned away from Sophia. Her voice was hesitant, as she pondered whether or not to answer the Valkyrie's question. She had wanted to avoid associating herself with these people; especially that man, Adour. But that man had, somehow, pieced together who she was. She hated dealing with magi. Val's frustration was evident, shown from her clenched hands and downcast gaze. But her hands were already dirtied; it would be naive to think she could just walk out after associating herself with these people. Besides, whatever was going here, the Reaper knew it wasn't just as it seemed, as Adour had hinted at. And it wasn't in her personality to let something like this stand. The Reaper turned, hard eyes going over Sophia. Perhaps she could trust her; she seemed not all like Adour or Cerul.

“… Adour huh…” That Val was worried about the mysterious blonde man did not surprise Sophia at all, but he was gone now and there was nothing they can do. Frankly she hoped that she will never see him again, but something told her that she should be prepared for another encounter in the future. That was a worry for another time however, and all the Valkyrie wanted to do was return to the real world and get some proper rest. “No, there is nothing else I can do here. All I can do is hope that Evray will be alright once this is over…” She looked down at the battle beneath one last time before turning to the rift that was their ticket out of here. As she stepped towards the portal a million thoughts flooded her mind. There were still so many things that she didn’t know, and yet there was no way she can learn those secrets any time soon. Perhaps she can sit down and have a talk with Evray later, and who knows, maybe Val might be there in the real world too. With that final thought Sophia stepped into the portal, leaving this madness behind once and for all. |
