There are no miracles.

Character Name: Hayakawa Youhei (速川陽平) Gender: Male Age: 18 Height: 5’10 Weight: 155 lbs Description or Image of Character Appearance: ![]() Occupation: Student Grade Level: Senior Powers/ Abilities: Perfect Perception: Although not exactly characterizing as a specific power or ability, Youhei holds an exceptional quality of spatial awareness. With a high natural threshold of activation, he is able to recognize any abnormalities within the environment around him, to a degree much exceeding that of a normal human’s. Youhei’s body possesses, essentially, a more efficient construction of the peripheral nervous system. He is able to receive information from his senses much faster and profoundly than the average individual, allowing him utmost perfection in perceiving variables and scenarios in given environments. Normal people can only discern a very small percentage of the external stimuli in the world around them, mostly accredited to a natural habituating function of the brain; however, Youhei denies this natural response. This ability allows Youhei to distinguish and separate all the information supplied from his senses quickly and organize them efficiently. This ability is not of magical origins but instead bestowed upon Youhei by simple birth, therefore, it cannot be toggled on or off, no matter the circumstances. However, if one were to abruptly receive this ability halfway through life, any normal person would be driven to the edges of insanity and madness. Only through years of coping, Youhei has refined this sense into a somewhat usable facet, although quite reluctantly so. Perfect Reflex: Despite no prior training whatsoever, Youhei is able to react to external stimuli extremely quickly, to near inhuman lengths. He holds no mind to body disconnect, meaning that the moment a thought is conceptualized, Youhei is instantaneously converting this message into a physical action. Even trained individuals usually require a minimum moment’s hesitation or calculation in order to respond towards change; however, Youhei’s reaction is most akin to a machine, in which case there is next to no delay in the relay speed of his actions to his thoughts. Although Youhei possessed this ability, he cannot react to actions or variables which he has no capability to be aware of. As an example, Youhei could win any rhythm game while muted with a probability of 100%. However, if some jerk decided to turn on invisible notes, Youhei would fail astoundingly. To note, Youhei’s actual speed remains unaltered, therefore, he is still subject and bound by the simple constrictions of human limitations. This is merely a heightened reaction speed, and not synonymous to actual movement. He cannot deny the rudimentary physical conventions of his own body. Perfect Kinetics: Most likely the most peculiar of his abilities, Youhei is granted the perfection of physical control over his own body. More akin to a magic of some sort, this permits Youhei complete jurisdiction over his own kinetic movement. This means that, at the expense of an increasingly increased neural load, Youhei can control even the subconscious functionalities of his body. Of course, this does not encompass the abilities of his organs, but more specifically, his body, arms and legs. He is able to manipulate his own movement in the way that his mind envisions. As long as an action can be visualized, it can likewise be performed. A more precise explanation would be that Youhei’s desire to move is realized as reality. However, despite how powerful this trait might seem, there are many limitations. First off, Youhei is still bound by the limitation of a human body. Meaning, he wouldn’t be able to perform feats that are simply beyond what an average person would be able to do. For example, no matter how hard he flaps his arms, Youhei would never be able to fly. In addition, he cannot enact movements which are not in his physical parameters to perform. And needless to say, like any other human being, Youhei is obviously susceptible to fatigue. This extends through any kind of medium. Due to the nature of any medium being subjected to the controller’s kinetic movement, this is only natural. After a few moments of habituation and “syncing” himself with another medium of movement, Youhei’s “perfect kinetics” activates, which allows him to likewise perform conceptualized functions. Equipment You Have:
Residency Request: Yoshima Schedule: Homeroom Teacher: Lavender 1)Physical Education 2)Survival Studies 3)Cooking Personality Description: Youhei is, to a certain extent, extreme. He is a naturally born thrill seeker – one whom would stop at no lengths to get a dose of adrenaline and excitement, even at the expense of his own well-being. The moment was definitely more important than the aftermath. Rather than thinking with his head, the boy would leave decisions to be led by his heart, and make, at times, the most uneducated estimates. However, beneath all the consequences or technicalities, Youhei is rarely if ever a person of regret. Everything he chooses to do, he whole heartedly tries his very best in – even in menial, trivial tasks. Although he may possess an extremely carefree air about him, Youhei is in fact, actually not a lazy person. He believes all about progress, productivity, although obviously of the wrong kinds. Needless to say, this has caused him to mature with an abnormal sense of competition with just about anyone he meets. If he is ever challenged to anything, even if it is impossible for him, Youhei would most likely do it anyways. This is not to say that he is a violent individual, however. Even though he is at times, aggressive, Youhei does not solely crave violence. Despite this, he can be found always making new companions and friends everywhere he goes. Contrary to certain impressions of him, he is actually not a delinquent, rather, one of his many past times is helping other people. Youhei himself is an amiable person by heart. He would go to ridiculous lengths to those he deems worthy, and sacrifice almost anything for a fellow. Well, and random people. Saying so, Youhei is also very easily side tracked when asked a request, especially if there is a reward (mostly food). The boy behaves of simple minded nature; calculations and cunning are definitely not things he would seem to have brewing inside his mind. He can often be found saying anything that comes to his head, whereas this awful bluntness has landed him in more than heaps of misunderstandings and hassles. If not mentioned above, he likes food. A lot. Youhei would run on foot to several different prefectures just for a cart of instant noodles. Personal History: One word which could basically summarize this entity known as “Hayakawa Youhei” would, strangely enough, be mediocrity. Unlike certain other people, Youhei has lived a relatively quiet life, with both humble beginnings and ends. His life leading up to current times is nothing but bland – much like the dramas on television, except without the drama. There were no murders, abductions, or magic – only the daily, trivial happenings of a generic family. Youhei was born into a perfectly normal family; one father, one mother and six siblings. They were neither rich nor poor, but adequately sufficient for basic survival. Being the third youngest, Youhei was stuck in the middle of the family – neither the center of attention nor the one to be swamped with hordes of responsibilities. However, he was always a people person. Despite the staggering size of the family, they were all very close to one another. His roots lay in a very quaint country town, far and remote from any major establishments. Commotion and attractions were uncommon in this small pseudo-city – it only held a couple schools, a handful of stores and one train stop. Nestled in the shadow of grand forestry and mixed mountain ground, the settlement had nothing of particular value to bolster, therefore avoiding the gaze of the public eye rather well. It was so insignificant to the point that most people would only draw confused looks at the mention of its name, or even deny its very existence as a whole. Needless to say, the population of this said establishment was relatively low, warranting only a few annual visitors and travelling salespeople. The small town was very akin to a large family – everyone knew one another on a personal level, and the people lived fairly close to each other. Ever since childhood, Youhei had been a problematic youth. One could not call him mischievous, but a more fitting term would be blatantly defiant. He rarely followed any conventional ways of thinking, nor was he one to think too hard before acting. To him, there were no authorities, only virtue. Youhei was impulsive and prideful – always getting into constant fights or offending someone he shouldn’t have. During his early years, he was neither smart nor challenged, but already had developed extremely strong habits of reading manga, eating, skipping or even blatantly sleeping during lectures. Despite this, his grades in school maintained a mediocre status, surprisingly. By the end of elementary, he had already accumulated quite a fair amount of dissidents and friends alike. However, all in all, Youhei was generally extremely well-liked among the town’s populace. Since a small age, it seemed as if he had a knack or affinity with earning a name for himself – for better or for worse. Being unaccustomed to abnormalities, his parents were thrown distraught, hoping that one day, he too would realize his own place in this world. However, this was obviously not the case. Even after entering his teens, Youhei had retained, or on the contrary, grew in rambunctiousness. Something about him seems lost, led astray, with no destination. He was like the wind – just doing whatever he pleases with little thought about the future. He would often find himself walking along the train tracks, on the days where school was especially boring. Well, it was not as if they could keep him barred behind those walls anyways. The feeling of the sun gentling caressing his back backed combined with the liberating winds on a summer day. Countless afternoons started and ended like this, his eyes forever gazing along the steel, girdled highway. They seemed to never end, stretching out into eternal infinity. And that was where he wanted to go. Beyond the couple of schools, handful of stores and this one train stop. He would stand there, for hours and hours upon end, wondering, deep in thought. There had to be more. Much more to see and live than this. Youhei knew there was nothing stopping him save for his own conscience. He was unsatisfied, and discontent with living such a monotonous life. He wasn’t going to wait to die such a mediocre death. There was something, somewhere out there that needed doing. It was his destiny. And thus, Youhei set off towards the outside world. Although he wasn’t sure what he was looking for, he knew that was where fate would take him. With the blazing evening sun brimming with possibilities as a backdrop to his strong, determined figure, his family and several other groups of the townspeople saw him off on his adventure, yelling and cheering for his good fortune. Of course, he was far too poor for the train fee. Backpack in hand, and a map of Japan gripped tightly, Youhei walked alongside the train tracks, seeing lands he had never seen before, and people who he never knew existed. Armed with nothing but five hundred yen, the clothes on his back, and a few packets of instant noodles, he ventured through mountains, prairies, coast lines and valleys alike. Although he had no particular destination at first, the rumours of an eccentric city reached his ears during his travels that one summer, thoroughly captivating his sense of intrigue. It was said to hold copious amounts of abnormalities, strange occurrences, and especially a wide selection of instant foods. Being the impulsive individual he was, Youhei’s next move was directed straight towards Hyakuji moments later, brimming with determination and anticipation for what laid awaiting his arrival.
