Dakota nodded "Yeah." she told her. Still, it meant that there wasn't anyone being singled out "I guess that's just the nature of the beast. There's only so many ways to heal something, and a lot more ways to blow that something up." Honestly, Dakota could think of a few non-combat uses for shadowmancy though, although most of them involved using them to manipulate objects. Kinda like telekinesis, though she figured telekinesis was probably more effective at it's job. Dakota smiled, and told her "Thank you." and dipped her crab into the butter "Wonder what I could figure out to do with shadowmancy other than break stuff." she told her. Yeah, the pseudo-telekinesis might work, but she didn't want to weasel in on her girlfriend's 'territory'. It was definately good. It wasn't exactly cheap, but it was good to splurge a little every once in a while. Especially on good food "I'll say. Thanks." she told her. Artemis wasn't the only one who thought it was delicious. Honestly, the fact that she was eating it with Artemis made it a lot better "So, working on anything with your telekinesis?" |

Artemis listened to Dakota as she wondered about other uses for her shadowmancy, Artemis smiling. "You could use it like I do and use the shadows to move between point," she suggested, resting a hand on the other side of herself out of Dakotas view. Upon placing it down, Dakota would feel a grab at her ankle from underneath while Artemis giggled a bit. "It really comes in handy when you're trying to move faster than normal time allows." Artemis released her ankle, pulling her hand back up and into her own lap. "I prefer to call it psychokinesis," Artemis said, giving her a smile, "Doesn't it sound neater? Telekinesis sounds outdated and lame, or at least it doesn't give the impression that 'psychokinesis' does." She then thought for a moment on what else she could try to do with her power, looking to her after she thought of something. "Well, I'd like to become stronger with it over all. I wanna be able to lift myself with much more ease as well as move faster in flight. Plus, it'd be nice to move others as well." |

Dakota nodded "You know, I spend a lot more time on shadowmancy since it's my specialty, and I still haven't figured out how you do that." Dakota told her. She typically focused on shaping applications, aggressive and meant for single attacks, rather than longer strikes such as molding it into a blade or whatnot. She looked startled for a moment when she felt something grasp her ankle, but giggled once she realized what had happened. She responded "I guess it would really cut down on travel time, sweetheart." She had to giggle again when Artemis told her that she preferred to call it psychokinesis over telekinesis "Never really kept my self up to date on fashion, but I figured that powers never went out of it." But yeah, she was right. Telekinesis sounded a bit more stale than psychokinesis. She nodded when she heard. Those were good long term goals "Most my ideas involve just ever increasing levels of blasting stuff with darkness," she told her "Maybe restraints too. For example..." Artemis would likely feel something creep up around her own ankle for a moment, though it only lasted a moment "That." she told her. It was a simple move, but it was easy to use, and could delay others for a moment. |

"Heh, I guess I had a different collection of books. My parents had a large collection of books and this one book I read was among them. I really liked it and it turns out that it was the source of my shadowmancy. Using shadow or shade is just about the only thing I can do with it though, I haven't been able to do anything else with it." Artemis explained, smiling to Dakota and giggling a bit. "Indeed it does, greatly. I've almost been late to certain things if it weren't for it." Dakota then explained her training with powers, Artemis nodding. Artemis suddenly felt something at her ankle jumped slightly, giggling a bit afterwards once she knew it was Dakota. "I don't know why but I thought it was a bug or something," Artemis said with a slight blush. "If that was your physical hand then you're basically doing it. But if that's a shadow hand, that's pretty cool too. It means you can scout something out before doing it yourself in case there's something mean on the other end. With mine, it's all or nothing." After a bit more talking, Artemis would finish up her meal and giving a sigh of satisfaction. |

Dakota nodded "Well, you just need practice. I spend my training focused on shadowmancy, so mine's going to be more advanced, y'know." Still, Artemis was pretty smart, so she wasn't terribly surprised that her beloved picked up on it through books. "I've been up to more trial and error type stuff. Well, that and occasional instruction from Mr.Ark." she told her. She did smirk though "Really, aside from the 'my own attacks don't hurt me anymore' deal that's always nice, I'm pretty much fighting similarly to how I usually do. My attacks aren't the most stamina efficient around, but they hit like a ton of bricks. Finesse isn't my strong point. Speaking of the opposite, have you tried to develop your tele... psychokinesis in a 'crush stuff' way?" She giggled a bit at the thought of Artemis using her powers as the psionic equivalent of 'Hulk Smash!'. She giggled again at Artemis's reaction "Actually, that's pretty much all I can do with that technique. It's 'cheap' to use, but all I really use it for is grabbing hold of their ankle so it takes them a second longer to get away... which hopefully would be all the time I'd need." She explained. It wasn't her best technique, but it definately had it's uses. |

"Practice makes perfect!" Artemis said, giving a common phrase to back it up. "I think I'm more proficient in psychokinesis but I'll try doing a bit more with shadowmancy eventually. Maybe you can help me a bit when the time comes." Dakota began explaining her abilities and how they help/hinder her, Artemis nodding. "Yeah, I can tell your attacks do quite the damage; I've seen you fight a couple times." Artemis giggled, thinking of the times she had fought. Artemis wasn't a bad fighter herself, her attacks mostly being ranged and close defense. She was also quite efficient at utilizing makeshift weapons. Dakota offered an idea for Artemis to use her psychokinesis, suggesting she use it like a crush or some sort of slam. "Ooh, that sounds kinda cool," Artemis said with a bright look on her, "I mean, I can already use it as a shield so I don't see why not. That sounds like an excellent idea." Dakota then explained how she used her shadow grab technique, Artemis nodding in agreement. "That sounds like the best use. It's not cheap at all. Nothing is cheap when it comes to non-conventional fighting." |

Dakota nodded "Right, and you should come visit the tower again some time." she told her. Dakota still did a lot of her training at the tower; it was the best place for it, even if there was the occasional issue "But just be careful. There's a small amount of villains who seem to be only concerned with us." The Luna Children seemed to be the most hateful, but she figured Team Alexander might strike again sooner or later. If Alexander had found a way to calm the spirit of Gaia... that'd be nice. She didn't want a nature vs humanity war to break out. She sure as hell didn't. It seemed Artemis liked her idea of using it to crush. It wasn't exactly an elegant idea, but it definately seemed like it'd be effective to her. When Artemis told that nothing was unfair in a fight. Dakota giggled a bit "I didn't mean like that. It just doesn't eat up much elemental stamina to use it." |

"Ah, yeah, I totally forgot about it. I'll have to come more often then, won't I?" Artemis said with a smile, bumping her shoulder into Dakota playfully. Dakota then spoke of villains, Artemis looking to her with a bit of interest and confusion. "Villains?" Artemis asked, hoping she'd clarify, "And by 'us', you mean shadowmancers specifically?" If that were the case, they must not have figured Artemis for a shadowmancer since her ability was so minuscule compared to her psychokinetic abilities. Dakota explained what she meant by cheap, using the other definition of cheap rather than the one Artemis was thinking. "Oh, heh, I thought you meant like a low blow or something. I guess that's good too. Anything to maximize efficiency in a battle is usually top priority. You never wanna fight and within the first minute you're out because you didn't use your powers correctly." After a minute, Artemis got up from her seat and looked to Dakota, "Now, let us go somewhere else to spend some time. Any ideas?" Artemis asked, hoping she'd have one in mind." |

Dakota smiled "Might hold it to you." she told her. Having her there would definately keep morale up, and at least mean she always had a training partner. Artemis was at least confused about what she meant by villains "Not against shadowmancers specifically. The Luna Children just hate elemancers in general." They probably just had missed Artemis because they were more focused on the organization as a whole "The King Aeons have a shield up against them though, thankfully." She nodded "Alls fair in love..." she leaned in quickly to steal a kiss from Artemis, giggling a bit afterwords "... and war, as they say." She told her. Dakota didn't hold back, unless it was against someone who she didn't really want to hurt, like a sparring partner. She nodded "We could always go to the amusement park, if that sounds like fun sweetheart." |

Artemis happily nodded, wanting to spend more time with Dakota and training with her would do just that. It not only would allow them to spend more time together, it'd also help Artemis train her shadowmancy a bit better than simply experimenting. Dakota then clarified what she had meant by the group of people who were after them, Artemis tilting her head back slightly as if saying 'oh'. Artemis was then suddenly kissed, Dakota stealing a kiss and Artemis not resisting at all as she smiled happily. "That's true," Artemis said, sticking her tongue out playfully. Dakota then came up with the idea of going to the amusement park, Artemis smiling again but at the idea of going. "That sounds like a great idea!" Artemis exclaimed, "I'm sure there are things that aren't too cold for us, it's still a bit a ways away from spring." |

Dakota nodded "Yeah. It'll be cold, but that means shorter lines." she told her. They might have to leave sooner "And by the time we get cold enough, we'll probably have room for a warm snack or too." Leave it to Dakota to start talking about eating at the tail end of a trip to a restaurant; although knowing Artemis, Dakota figured that she'd have suggested it if she herself hadn't. "And we could probably keep each other warm while waiting." she told her. As a creature of elemental darkness, Dakota's hunger was more a biproduct of retained human traits; the calories she burned were mostly broken down into body heat. Dakota smiled "Although I wouldn't recommend any of the water attractions." Getting soaked during the cold winter was a one way ticket to getting a cold, after all. Even for Dakota, who figured she wouldn't get sick, it still wouldn't be any fun "Although second thought, the first piece of advice most people give people when they get soaked in the cold is to take all their clothes off~" Dakota stuck out her tongue at Artemis. |

"Ooh, that's true. No one wants to be out here too long in the cold. Good thinking!" Artemis smiled, giggling a bit. Dakota then added that they'd be up for a warm snack as well, Artemis nodding. "Exactly what I was thinking," Artemis said cheerfully, "Maybe some hot chocolate with little marshmallows in it." Artemis nodded again at Dakotas idea, smiling happily. Any moment she was with Dakota, she was happy. She was glad Dakota was quite reliable at coming up with ideas, at least when Artemis didn't have any. "Yeah, definitely," Artemis agreed, putting on her jacket as they readied to leave the diner, "I'd probably turn into an icicle if I jumped in the water. You'd have an ice cube for a girlfriend." Artemis said with a little giggle. Dakota then said teasingly that people who are soaking wet are told to take off their clothes, Artemis slightly blushing but smiling at what she said and sticking her tongue out back at her. Artemis began wondering now if Dakota envisions her without clothing, causing her to blush the entire time as they walked side by side. |

Dakota chuckled at her comment about hot chocolate "Almost sounds like wishful thinking." Still, she didn't mind the idea of get hot chocolate in an amusement park; she just couldn't see it happened. For the most part, it was because she'd never seen anything like it served there; granted, this was Hyakuji, where anything could happen. Nature vampires, robot apocalypses, and maybe even something as outlandish as hot chocolate served at an amusement park. Dakota got back up when Artemis did, giggling at the part about having an ice cube for a girlfriend. She noticed Artemis was blushing the whole time they were walking side by side "Should I hold back on those kinds of comments, sweetheart?" she teased. It felt almost a bit hypocritical, given how easily she was prone to blushing, but it was all in good humor. |

"Heh, you don't have to," Artemis said, assuring her there was no problem, "I just had a mental image, that's all." She nervously smiled, hoping Dakota didn't catch on to what she may have been thinking about. Several minutes pass by as the two continued walking, making their way to the amusement park where the two would spend some time there before calling it a day. Artemis was walking with Dakotas hand in hers, admiring the scenery as they eventually made their way to the amusement park. "It looks really pretty with some snow around here," Artemis said, smiling as she looked over the park, snow covering a bit of the grounds. Most of the snow was kept in check by aquamancers, using their abilities to keep it off the tracks and off of the main paths. |

Dakota blushed, putting two and two together about what Artemis was probably thinking about. Although she was definately had reservations on anything involving her body, a pretty large part of her was... intrigued by the prospect, to say the least. Regardless, for more than one reason, she wouldn't try to press something like that onto the agenda for quite a long time to come. Dakota nodded to Artemis's observation about the snow "Yeah, it is. Honestly, we didn't get a lot of snow back home." Dakota's home town was just south enough to make snow, let alone a good snow, something of a rarity. Dakota smiled, as the approached the park. After paying for the tickets, and entering the park, Dakota looked over to her love, and asked her "So sweetheart, what would you like to ride first?" |
