Crab and lobster was definately a bit of a splurge, but it was their first date in a relationship that both of them were confident would work out. Dakota nodded "As long as it's not snow crab legs. I think you burn more calories opening those things than you do eating them, even if you drench the suckers in all the butter you can." she told her. Definitely still good though "Hmm... I might be able to crack them open with darkness though." Yes, Dakota was seriously considering opening snow crab legs using darkness.

"It all sounds good though, doesn't it?" she told her. Really, Dakota liked just about everything. It'd be hard for her to pay for all of it, but she felt like she needed to help pay for part of it. She didn't want to mooch off her girlfriend, after all.

Dakota smiled, and put her own arm around her "I'm glad I met you too." she told her "I'm just glad you were so accepting about, you know, everything." Everything ranged, of course, from her genderbent status to being a lesbian.

"I don't mind taking the time to cracking them open, it makes it seem like the meat is a reward," Artemis said, explaining a point and even raising a finger up while mentioning it. Dakota then said she might be able to crack them open, Artemis grinning at the idea. "That sounds awesome!" Artemis said with excitement, "How come I never thought of that? I'll have to try my psychokinesis then." She then nodded when Dakota said that it all sounded good, licking her lips too. The girl could eat all day, as long as she burned it off afterwards that is. She couldn't simply eat a big meal and relax, that'd cause her to gain weight which she did not want at all.

After leaving the theater, Dakota wrapped her arm around her girlfriend, Artemis smiling as the walked along. As they walked, they received more looks from others, something that reminded them that the country hasn't exactly moved forward yet. Nonetheless, Artemis continued to smile with her girlfriends arm around her. Several minutes later, the two would arrive at the restaurant Artemis had in mind. The door would open thanks to Artemis' powers, a waiter standing near the entrance to lead them to an available table after Artemis told him the seating numbers.

The trip to the restaurant, despite being chilly enough outside for the restaurant to safely refrigerate their fish in, not to mention the looks they were getting was overall quite pleasant, due to being so close to her new girlfriend. Dakota herself had her own arm around Artemis as well.

The two of them were seated, after Artemis used her telekinesis to open the door. Dakota smiled. Really, she figured she ought to learn a few non-combat applications for her powers. Given that darkness could be molded into numerous shapes, perhaps it was worth figuring out how to "Hmm... maybe I should learn how to apply my shadowmancy to non-combat stuff."

Dakota sat down with her lover, and picked up her menu "So, what about my plan? We'll probably have to order a couple extra side items too." she told her. She smirked in a faux-mischievous way, and told her "Hehehe, we're going to eat this place dry, aren't we?"

"Yeah, it's always neat to try and think of ways of improving your life with your abilities," Artemis said with a smile, "I mean, that's how I use them. It's not like we're being raised to fight armies or anything." Artemis sat next Dakota, bumping her playfully with her shoulder. Artemis giggled when Dakota began telling her what she had planned to do, even suggesting they'd eat the restaurant out. "I think I'll go for a lobster tail and three pounds of crab," Artemis said, quickly looking through the menu, "Then we can order dessert, pick up a movie after we finished and head back home."

Artemis set down her menu in front of her, the waiter coming by and asking their choice of drinks. Artemis insisted first, ordering one large drink for the two to share with a pair of straws. After taking Artemis' order, he turned to Dakota and awaiting her order. "Oh, can you throw in some mozzarella sticks too? With marinara sauce too of course."

Dakota nodded as they left. It was only something she'd do a few days out of the year. It was particularly awkward for her, but she was willing to do it for her. Being in a relationship meant making small sacrifices to make your beloved happy, every now and then.

Once they arrived, Artemis asked her if she'd act differently if she still had her boy body "Well, I'd be less flustered, that's for sure." she told her. Obviously, this body led to plenty of awkward moments.

"But personality wise, not really. At least not as far as I can tell." she told her. She had a pretty strong faith in her ability to stay the same "I'd say hormones have a little effect, but, you know, it's nothing that would make much of an impact. If anything messed my head, it'd have been the events surrounding getting changed." Trauma had made her more emotionally dependent, since it gave her problems that she couldn't vent without some support.

Dakota nodded "So probably not much for the speedster." she told her "He might be a bit too uncomfortable with his body to want it turned on for a while. Still, he'll eventually get used to it at least enough to go back. Heck, it'd be worse; there'd be no repercussions from him being in the girl's shower."

Dakota nodded "True. But the one man army thing does sound kinda interesting." Well, she'd probably get bored with killing wave after wave of enemy, or at least have some problems with it. Maybe she'd stick with the Bracers Guild once she graduated. Seemed like a respectable career to her. Dakota bumped Artemis back.

She mentioned lobster tail and three pounds of crab "I'll just stick to the crab. For the main course, at least; still going to have desert. It's time they face my horrible vengeance for being impossible to crack any other way..." she told her, with a faux-sininster tone "Plus, I'm just in a mood for crab today. Anyways, sounds like a plan."

Artemis ordered mozzarella sticks, but Dakota was more bent on the prospect of relatively easy crab. With lots and lots of drawn butter. She made her order, and threw in a request for kettle chips on the appetizer menu. Those were always great, no matter what restaurant you got them at.

"So sweetheart." she asked her, giggling a little "What do you think the next round of crazy's gonna be with this city? Seems like it finds plenty of excuses to come under attack from the robot ninja zombie pirates from dimension 12."

"Heh, yeah it does," Artemis said with an agreeing smile, "It would be cool to take on all the bad guys single handed." Artemis leaned onto Dakota after she received the bump back, resting her head on her shoulder as Dakota spoke. "Gonna teach them a lesson, huh?" Artemis asked, her head still on Dakotas shoulder as she looked to her slightly. A couple minutes pass by as the two enjoy the moment, Dakota then asking what sort of peril Hyakuji will be thrown into next. Artemis sat up, lifting her head off of Dakotas shoulder, "Hmm, that's a good question," Artemis said as she took a moment to think.

"It seems like everyone wants to take on Hyakuji for some random reason, whether it be a legit reason or just something Hyakuji hasn't done yet. I wouldn't be surprised if we brought on the anger of some alien race." Artemis thought again about what she had just said, remembering that she encountered aliens that are actually living on Earth, especially one she knew. Afterwards, the appetizers were brought to the table, Artemis licking her lips and thanking their waiter.

Dakota nodded "Yeah.", briefly daydreaming for a moment about the invasion by the Machine Empire on the school. Except this time, her and Artemis sent scores of Pantheon robots flying with every attack, before curbstomping the Machine King himself. She smiled back to Artemis on her second comment, telling her "You know it." with a cheeky grin.

She listened to Artemis's reply to her question. Yeah, an alien invasion would be par for the course "So, what do you think the odds are the invasion's results would come down to a battle on the bridge of some cheesy but fully operational Death Star knock-off?" she asked, giggling a bit.

It wasn't long after she asked the question that the appetizers arrived. The mozzarella sticks looked good, but she was saving room for the crab.

Artemis giggled at what Dakota said about taking bets, "That would be kinda funny to see, actually. Though I think it'd be more fun if we were in space ships, like a space fight." Artemis reached for a mozzarella stick, dipping it into the marinara sauce that was provided. She kept it in her mouth, trying to cool it off since it was still a bit hot. Eventually she was able to eat it, blowing on the rest of the stick this time before placing it in her mouth. "You don't want any?" Artemis asked, "They're delicious~" Artemis teased a bit, giving her a little grin to try and coax her to eat some.

"If you don't want any, I'll just eat them all myself. What we leave, if anything, we can just take it home and eat it as leftovers." Artemis took another mozzarella stick, blowing on it and then dipping it again into the sauce. She slowly bit down on the stick, not because it was hot but to emphasize how delicious it was by extending the sound of the crunch. Several minutes pass and their main course was eventually served, Artemis left with a couple sticks left. "Enjoy your meal you two," the waiter said with a smile.

Dakota nodded to Artemis "Yeah, but I'm not so sure how far I can get away from the planet though." she told her. As an elemental, Dakota was tied to the world. The Aeons came from the Moon, so she figured she might be able to get as far as Earth's outer orbit before problems started cropping up.

She smiled at Artemis trying to get her to eat the monzerella sticks "Like it'd too much convincing to get me to eat something." Well, as long as it was good, which Monzerella sticks definately were. She nodded to the waiter, and told him "Thanks." finally 'caving' to Artemis's pressure, and eating a mozzarella stick, dipping it in the sauce first, of course.

She nodded "Wonder how this city ended up being the center of every so-called apocalypse." she asked her.

"Oh? I didn't know that. Maybe we'll find a way to allow you to go into space if that problem comes up. I wouldn't want to go into space without you." Artemis smiled to Dakota, nudging her side lightly with her elbow. Eventually Dakota gave in and began eating some mozzarella sticks, watching her with a smile as she dipped it in the sauce and took a bite. "I told you~" Artemis said teasingly, taking another bite afterwards.

Dakota then brought up a good question, the question as to why Hyakuji seems to be at the center of all the chaos. "Hmm, that's a good one. We'll have to ask the principal about that but I think it's because of all our energy combined, it's like breaking all the superstitions thus making your luck a total sink." After that theory, Artemis began to indulge in her meal, taking in bit by bit. "It all smells so good!" Artemis said, looking at hers and Dakotas food. She licked her lips, finishing up the stick before diving into the main course.

Dakota rolled her eyes, and told her "Pfffft, I was barely putting up any resistance in the first place." she told her. 'Saving room' wasn't exactly a major decision, so it wasn't like she was necessarily going to be dead set on not eating monzerella sticks.

She listened to Artemis try to explain it. It made a little sense, she supposed; she didn't have any better explanations herself though. "Hmm... Well, I don't know about that, but I don't have any better ideas.

When the main course arrive, Dakota decided to dig in. Darkness collesed around her hand and... quite easily cracked the crab shell "Yep. I've just got to be careful not to interpenetrate." she told her.

"Hooray for mundane utility." she giggled, dipping the crab meat into drawn butter "You want me to break a few for you, sweetheart?"

Artemis nodded when Dakota asked if she'd like her to crack open her lobster, "Yes please," Artemis said with a smile, "You did it without much of a mess." Artemis grabbed a lobster tail, floating it in front of her while Dakota cracked open the crab. "I'll try to pull off the meat here with my psychokinesis," Artemis said, focusing on the lobster, "I bet our teachers wouldn't be to thrilled knowing their students are using their powers for mundane things." After a couple seconds, Artemis managed to get the meat off of the lobster shell, setting both the shell and meat down.

"Thank you," Artemis thanked Dakota after cracking the crab open for her, "I guess using our powers in any way possible is also training in itself. I mean, it teaches us different ways to utilize our powers." Artemis thought for a moment as she began dunking her crab meat into the butter, giving it a nice coating and then putting some into her mouth.

Dakota made a couple of crack in the crab legs, using her shadowmancy for Artemis, before giving it back "Here you go Arte. Just used my shadowmancy to poke a few holes in it for you. That's all I used darkness to do, I swear. Totally won't corrupt your immortal soul." she joked. Darkness had a bad rep, so it was easy to make those kinds of jokes. Artemis's method was a bit less violent, but still effective. She then returned to cracking them for herself.

She listened to Artemis say that their teachers wouldn't be happy to see their students using their powers for mundane things, so she shook her head "I'm not so sure about that; we're not being trained to be super soldiers, after all. Honestly, I think Mr.Ark would actually be kinda happy about it. Dude's not a huge fan of violence, so I don't think he'd mind hearing that I'd found a practical, non-violent application of shadowmancy." she told her.

Dakota nodded "Yeah, I wish I could figure out more practical ways to use my powers. Ever notice how everyone's powers tend to be the sort that's mostly useful for blasting other people's faces off?" she asked "But this has definately been the best training session ever."

Artemis smiled as she watched Dakota crack open some holes in the crab, allowing her to fully crack them open herself. "Thank you~" Artemis said, giggling at what Dakota said and then cracking the crab open with her psychokinesis. It only took a couple seconds to open them without making a mess, revealing the lovely meat inside. She pulled it out using her psychokinesis, doing it to the rest of the crab so she'd have a little pile of meat on her plate. Artemis then discarded the inedible parts of the crab to the other plate that was once filled with other stuff.

Artemis nodded when Dakota said Damon would want them to use it for something else, also mentioning that they were being trained as soldiers. She also brought up the fact that a majority of everyone's powers could blow peoples faces off, nodding as well. "Yeah, there are a lot of students with destructive powers." It was time to eat her crab meat now, grabbing a bit with her fingers and dipping it into the butter. She placed the buttered crab into her mouth and ate it, sucking on her lightly buttered fingers. "Delicious~" Artemis said, picking up another piece and dipping it. She moved it to Dakota, hoping she'd like some as well.
