APPEARANCE
Posted Image
Minami Hibiki looks like your every day girl. With a hair kept short and her bangs held to the side with hair-clips, she stands at a fairly average high for a teenage girl. Her physique is nothing special, in terms of appearance. It's slim, but there's not many muscles to her, excluding her legs. Hibiki's legs are her main focus, and they're rather well trained. Underneath her clothing, Hibiki usually wears the skin-tight suit that she naturally produces due to her powers. If combat were to occur, the outer clothing would dissolve, and subsequently get replaced with the full set of armor. Once the fight finishes, the clothing she wore would rebuild itself, replacing her armor in a reversed process

Specific details: After her recent change in abilities, Hibiki's eyes changed with a black star-shaped pattern in the middle of her orange hue. During transformations, the color of her eyes change into a soft and radiant blue with the black star-pattern in middle.

POWERS & ABILITIES
Hibiki's Old Powerset - Replaced Due To Her Evolution!

A NEW BODY AND A NEW TRANSFORMATION
Originally, Hibiki had a body made out of flesh, bones, crystals and metal shards, granting her the ability to transform into a state where she was stronger and tougher than anyone she'd met before. She could flip cars over and punch through walls, she could take a lot of hard hits without feeling any pain from it, she could go for 24 hours without needing any sleep or food, quite literally being a powerhouse with an abundance of energy.

Too much energy.

Because of this energy, her body had to undergo a very painful process, in which her flesh and bones absorbed the microscopic shards inside of her, allowing her to reach a new state of being. Because of this, Hibiki lost her super strength and her endurance, as well as her abundance of energy, as her body found new ways of releasing it. The first thing is Hibiki's standard form. Her body is very warm. It doesn't burn or harm you, but rather, keeps a constant and relaxing warmth which radiates from her skin at all times. The second thing is her power to transform and her abilities that come with it.
Posted Image
The first thing that is different about this transformation is how it starts and how one can tell when Hibiki is about to use it. Whenever she focuses, her eyes shift to a dark blue hue with stars for pupils while her hair flares up, reminiscent of fire in how it flows up, changing it's color from orange to varying shades of red, the length of it growing until it reaches down to the middle of her back, staying as such during the whole transformation. The second thing is her actual suit. Instead of the swimsuit-like outfit with armor parts, she gains a full body outfit with a few distinct traits that make her look more robotic than human. First off, the leg section of her outfit are covered in a thick but very light metallic material, looking like a pair of boots that reach all the way up to the base of each limb. They're square and look rather heavy, keeping the same shape from top to bottom with a few spots that stick out on each of them. At glance, one would think these are entirely robotic, having a very metallic feel to them, but they're actually bendable and easy to move around in, allowing her to kick and bend her legs without any difficulty, offering both protection and movement during battles. Her torso is simple, with a few details standing out on it. On both her hands and on the left side of her chest, there's a large orb sewn into her suit with a small light inside each of them that shines and spins whenever she's utilizing her abilities. There's a zipper on the front of her outfit that reaches down to her belly, covered by her long white scarf around the collar. The last things worth noting are the headphones covering each of her ears up. Rather than hanging on, they appear to be merged with her skull, being unable to remove them unless she transforms back. Despite wearing them, she can hear perfectly fine, as no music plays into them or blocks any of the noises around her, being nothing more than an accessory to her outfit, along with a red-tinted visor that slides out from the right headphone and into her left one, protecting her eyes from dust during her battles.

"FLIGHT!"
The first of Hibiki's new abilities is a very basic and easy to control power known as Flight, becoming more like an instinct to her as opposed to an active ability. In her transformed state, Hibiki moves by moving her body into the direction she desires while forcing out a continuous stream of energy behind her body which is emanating from her under her feet and the back of her ankles. The energy changes between yellow and red, creating the illusion of fire as she moves, the energy remaining in the air behind her for just a few moments before fading into nothing. If someone were to be exposed by the energy, all they would feel is a warm and slightly uncomfortable gust of air, as it's not harmful or intended to burn her foes. The various ways Hibiki can fly with this ability is simple. She can hover, move up, down, left or right, she can fly slowly and she can fly very fast, the speed varying with how much effort she's putting into moving, compare it to walking, jogging and running. Hibiki can do the same thing here and it tires her out in the same fashion, although it's much faster than any normal sprinting speed. If Hibiki pushes herself to her limits, she'll be able to hit around 300 miles per hour, but she'll end up exhausted after doing so.

"BEAM!"
Hibiki's second ability is simple called Beam, which does what one would expect from such a simple name, that being the ability to fire energy beams in order to attack. The attack itself is fairly simple. It's a charged up attack that can shoot off from three different areas of her body, her left hand, her right hand and her chest to be specific, as the charging time for each beam takes up to 10 seconds each. When Hibiki focuses on charging one of her beams, a sphere on her suit related to that body-part will begin to glow, meaning that if she charges a beam from her right hand, the sphere on top of her right hand will glow, the same rule applied to the beam and sphere on her chest and on her left hand. As for the beam itself, it's very warm and quick to shoot out at the target she's aiming at with a maximum length of 50 meters while the beam itself appears to stay out for 5 seconds at a time, allowing her to move her hands around and slice whatever object she desires with the beam's energy, such as cutting into a wall or through a tree. While this ability is destructive, the attack does have certain properties about it that makes it both strong and weak in terms of combat, depending on the target Hibiki aims it towards, making it much stronger against something lifeless and cold, that being a tree, a stone, a wall or a window. Anything that doesn't have it's own aura or identification. Hibiki can easily cut into these with her deadly beams and make quick work of them during her battles. As for beings with an aura, take an animal or a living and breathing person, the effects are radically different, the potency of her attack being taken down as the aura of the other being clashes with her own, creating a dissonance between Hibiki and her opponent's souls. This makes people resist the deadly effects of her beams but not to the point where it wouldn't hurt them. It still bites and hurts, the force of the attacks being able to cut into their clothes and send them back with force, accompanied by a very warm and unpleasant feeling on their body. It's not a burning sensation, but it's still rather rather painful to get hit by one of these beams.

"BURST!"
Burst is probably the weakest of Hibiki's abilities but it's also one of the more useful ones. To use it, Hibiki inhales a large breathe of air and quickly forces a pressure to build inside of her body which is instantly released from her skin in the form of warm energy, dyed in an orange hue. It doesn't sound like strong attack, but it's real use lies in how it's actually used. The strength of the burst can actually be used to force off anything that might have grappled onto her or act as a quick shield against projectiles, given she can react in time to it. After using it, her body has to cool off for just a few short seconds, her skin and flesh quickly cooling down to her normal body temperature before she is able to use this skill again.

PERSONALITY
Hibiki is outgoing. That's pretty much the first impression she could give a stranger. She always pushes herself in for new interactions, and often finds herself enjoying them. Meeting new people is fun to her. She never got to do it properly during her growth, as she always spent so much time inside a laboratory with testing. Now that she's free and on the move? She decides.. it's best to keep moving. Be positive! Be creative! Make new friends! Forge stronger bonds with your old ones! And at the end of the day, if she find herself knowing some new people? It fulfills her. It makes her happy. She'll fall asleep with a happy thought and end up completely engrossed in the idea that someone wants to be her friend. She'll love them back. She'll protect them. But why? Is she lonely? No, she doesn't consider herself lonely. If she doesn't make any new friends on that day, she knows that deep down, she'll always have a place to return to.

Enter Dr. Minami. The scientist who found Hibiki and the scientist who raised her. Hibiki speaks highly of him, even calling him a "father" in one way or another. She's grateful for his support and will always try to repay him in any way she could. She cares about him. And after being told about her past, she finds herself thankful and a bit scared on what would have happened if he didn't find her on that day.

One thing Hibiki really likes to do is eat. Of course, any human likes to eat.. but to this degree. Hibiki goes hungry most of the time, and often finds herself eating on whatever she'll have nearby. Be it a snack-bar or lunch, or even some paper or pencils, she'll always chew and swallow something for sustenance. This isn't the only thing that makes her tick though. As said above, Hibiki loves to throw herself into new encounters. She also enjoy.. anything, really. She likes to exercise, either by running or punching something. She likes to enjoy video games and media on the TV. She likes to watch colors on display. Anything makes her excited and happy to be alive.

Hibiki is afraid of a few things though, one in particular being darkness. After some traumatizing flashes from her youth, coupled with her living at the facility, she grew rather scared of a dark void around her. It's empty.. at least, from her perspective. Anything could be lurking there. Ready to attack. Ready to break her down. The unknown is scary. Therefore, she always stays in areas where she can see the light around her. She even sleeps with a night-light! Another thing she hates are heights. She can't explain it herself, but staring down at the ground always causes her to freeze with panic. She feels small. She feels heavy. And a small and heavy thing that drops will often break apart into a thousand pieces.

Another thing worth to note is that Hibiki CAN be calm when a hard situation comes up. Sadness. Heartbreak. Negative emotions. It's a place where she knows not to speak. A situation that doesn't rely on her upbeat behavior. Be it from others or herself feeling it, she often finds herself cooled down during it. However, anger is another story. A Hibiki filled with anger is a bad Hibiki. Uncontrollable, her powers often burst out from her body. In her fit of rage, she forgets the most important things around her, like friends and loved ones, or an objective at hand. She breaks the things around her, and her powers even shine through during such an occasion. It overpowers her calming organ for the moment, and only when she's stopped does it kick back in.

HISTORY
Several years ago near a research camp in Northern Japan, a few scientists found what appeared to be a small animal plaguing their research camp. The creature, clad with a black skin and thin red lines on it's body and eyes with a similar crimson shade, was caught one day when it stumbled into one of the scientist's traps. However, a beast like this wasn't going to let herself be caught, and in a feat of strength, she attempted to break the cage open and flee into the caves nearby. As she ran, she got hit with a number of tranquilizer darts before she fled into the darkness of the caves.

Deciding that pursuit was the only logical thing to do, one of the scientists followed the monster into the caves, deciding to put an end to the plague that interrupted their work. However, he did not expect to find a surprise like this. Inside the cave, a scream echoed out through the darkness, the voice resembling that of a young child.. a girl? Unbelievable, but true. The male stumbled upon a girl inside the cave, naked bar only a pair of needles shot into her back. Was this the monster stalking their camp? He edged closer, and in turn, she noticed him. She stopped moving. She didn't make a noise. Instead, she seemed curious. Calm. A bit happy. Hungry too. Her stomach growled. The man shifted position, matching the girl in height. She seemed to be around five.. maybe six years of age. He spread his arms out towards her, and smiled at the same time. "Don't be afraid.." — he spoke.. a gentle and calming tone that echoed out into the cave. The girl moved, carefully moving herself forward. She felt drawn to him. Her own voice replied, however.. instead of words, she'd make a noise, as she mimicked his actions and stretched her arms towards him. "Haauu..?" — and in the end.. the male found a small girl wrapped around his neck, as he decided the only rational thing was to hug her back, lifting her up in the process. He exited the cave that day. Instead of a monster, he found a girl, someone who appeared to have been lost in the area for quite some time. With no records of who she was, he decided to keep her around and further his research about her.

And upon further research, the scientist consulted friend in the field of medicine and biology, and decided to take the girl there. During the trip, the girl, named Hibiki after the Japanese word -sound-, since it was the only way she could communicate with others, started slipping into a few violent mood-swings. She got angry. She destroyed things. Her eyes flared up, shifting from a normal blue to a complete red. With another shot, he calmed her down again, the girl acting as her normal self.

Was it really necessary to do this? And why did this happen? Questions the male got an answer to, once Hibiki was taken in for research. Her body was different. While it looked and appeared to be human, her insides said otherwise. Scattered through her body were small gems and pieces of metal, merged with her flesh. After another scan, they found a large gem inside of her heart. It was merged in as well, and it appeared to pose no threat to the girl. But from their understanding, it also altered her physiology. Her blood pumped faster than a normal human, even under the influence of tranquilizers. Even during sleep, something she did needed little of. She radiated a powerful warmth too. Her body was really warm, and her energy was always to the fullest.

The only proper course of action for these people were.. help her. Maybe they could learn something in the process, as they help her grow. And so, Hibiki found herself lectured by them, taught how to speak, eat, dress and act proper in front of others. On the other side of the spectrum was the research. Slowly, over the years, they developed a way for Hibiki to live without turning into the beast inside of her. Something that could keep her to the regular level she was at now, without the use of medicine and daily check-ups. What hindered them.. was Hibiki herself.

Every day, they'd learn new things about her body. The scientists and Hibiki were both surprised at the things she did. She was stronger, that's a given. She could easily break a thing or two around her if she wasn't careful enough. But the biggest surprise had to be the parts of the suit that materialized around her. On her arms, she would form gauntlets. On her legs, a pair of boots. A scarf emerged from her back. And something akin to antennas and headphones on her head. It broke down the clothing she wore above, as a orange and black skin-tight suit was formed over her upper-body. It didn't cover much, only the necessary area to keep this character PG-13. A power-suit, in other words. It reminded the people a lot about henshin heroes. And it also gave them a new approach.

Considering the girl was made up of gems, metal and flesh, they decided to sample it. After further analysis, they found ways to alter it, thus creating a part to be re-merged with Hibiki's body. It was a bit different, but it still worked. Basically, they took it and created an "artificial organ" to be placed next to her heart. An organ specifically made for her body. It produced the same effects as any medicine would, calming her body down to that of a really energetic human. And it was all fueled by her own body.

While her physical condition was fixed to the point of "normal", her social skills lacked. Was she introverted? No, the exact opposite. She was extremely extroverted, to the point where her energetic mood would overtake the situations at hand. She did learn the fundamentals of being a human though. She knows about social interactions. She just did it to an extreme. Her skills in speaking and writing were fine. She wasn't the brightest bulb when it came to studies, but she tried her best. At this point in time, all she lacked was others around her. The scientists were nice. The people around her in general were nice. And the one who found her was really nice, even adopting her in and allowing her to become his daughter. A cliché, he knew, but nevertheless, it seemed like the right thing to do. Hibiki even agreed to it, allowing the whole process to run along smoother than they thought.

But something was missing around her. She didn't know it.. but everyone else did. She lacked a proper life. A life fit for a girl her age. And come the age of 15, she finally moved to a place with people around her. A place where other human beings, ranging from small children to the elderly, lived in a society filled with interactions. A city. A place to explore. Hibiki's new home.. in Hyakuji City.

The first year? Kind of hard! Hibiki had some troubles here and there, often finding herself in some odd situations, like the time she pushed over a fruit-stand! Or that one time with the talking dog- actually, let's not elaborate on that. Needless to say, she had fun.

And as the page turns, the girl enters her second year in school.

Is it going to be fun? Exciting? Awesome? You bet your butt it will! Bikkie~away~!

POWERS & ABILITIES
ALTERED PHYSIOLOGY — BATTLE SUITPosted Image
Hibiki's body is different. Very different. Instead of the usual flesh and bones, her body mixes that with something else. Scattered through her body are microscopic pieces of gems and metals, all radiating a warmth that enhances Hibiki's blood-flow, causing her body to be naturally hotter than most others. In turn, this causes her mood to be extremely cheery, as she's very direct and forward about everything she does, doing it with a genki attitude. However, a faster blood-flow and a happy mood isn't all that this does to her. Hibiki can naturally produce an armor from the inside, replacing her outer clothing with a light armor, consisting of gauntlets, boots and other accessories, including a scarf and a protective gear for her ears, all in the vivid hue of orange. It also creates a skin-tight outfit underneath, which Hibiki can choose to wear alone underneath her uniform. Hey, swimsuits cost, and this is is a very nice suit! The material on the gauntlets and boots are created from the small pieces of metal and gems inside her body, and in turn, they feel just as a piece of metal and gem would feel like. They're warm, smooth and solid. Simple but it works well. It's unsure as to why Hibiki can do this and why her body is built up this way. As of now, it's a great mystery on how she turned into a half-weapon being to begin with. The only lead is the gem inside of her heart. Another thing worth noting is the extra organ inside her body. Implemented by the scientists who found her, they created an artificial organ placed behind her heart to produce a tranquilizing effect. Hibiki is unable to act like a human being without this effect, and without it, she'll turn into the beast she was before. The way that it works is that it draws power from her body, like any major organ would. With this, it begins producing the chemicals needed to calm her down, releasing it in a stable flow. It's a natural process.
ALTERED PHYSIOLOGY — ENHANCED ENDURANCE
Related to the power above is the other strange thing about Hibiki's body. She can withstand large amounts of pain and medicine, and she runs on a different sleep schedule than most others. Because of her fast blood-flow, any type of drug entering her system will need a stronger quantity or quality in order to work on her, as it will quickly cancel out because of her accelerated blood-flow and her gems inside of her flesh. Only when many or large doses are introduced does it take any effect. As for her pain resistance, it once again falls back on the gems and metal inside of her. It drowns the pain out with heat. They can still cut into her, they can still punch her, but to Hibiki, she feels it as heat. A warm and soft sensation on her body. That doesn't mean she's invulnerable. Cut her legs off and she will die from blood-loss. Inflict heavy damage on one of her organs and she will collapse. Give her an enough physical beating and she will go down after a while. Another factor that can play in is the opponent's strengths. Facing a super-strengthen adversary will cause her to go down quicker. Maybe not as fast as they would expect, but after a few punches here and there, she could easily go down like a falling tree. The same goes for elemental powers. Fire burns. That's not good. Ice freezes you. That's not good either. And lighting fries you. Can you see the pattern here? As for her sleep patterns, Hibiki is someone who operates on full-time with a peppy mood. She could easily go on long periods of time without sleep, given she eats and drinks regularly. And once she sleeps, she's out like a light, usually sleeping for a full day before she wakes up.
ALTERED PHYSIOLOGY — ENHANCED STRENGTHS
A third thing to note is the strength Hibiki possesses. Without her battle suit, it's much like a well-trained human being. She can run pretty fast, and she can lift most things a strong adult could lift. But once she dons her suit, it all changes, as her muscles are accelerated and hardened to the point of super-human strength, both her speed and general strength boosting in the process. In this state, Hibiki can run much faster, compare to an average wild animal at top speed or a fairly decent moped rushing down the street, around 30/35 miles per hour. As for her attack power, it increases too. She could easily flip over vending machines and heavy furniture with both her arms or punch herself through a concrete wall with enough strikes. She can throw small objects really far away, and she could, with enough effort, push something much heavier than her to the side or forward, like a boulder or a car, perhaps even a truck with enough time and energy.
ALTERED PHYSIOLOGY — SNAP-BACK GAUNTLETS
Hibiki's gauntlets are special and possess a mechanism used to execute powerful punches. Now, Hibiki is already strong on her own, being able to shoulder cars to the side and punch through museum safety measures, but with this power, she'll be able to do it much easier and with a bit of oompf to it. Simply put, the back part of her gauntlets can be pulled back, reaching a length very similar to her stretched arm and anything in between, as it snaps shut until step two is preformed. Step two is very easy, and it simply involves her punching whatever she feels should be punched. Be it a wall, an enemy, a shield or a vending machine, anything goes in terms of what this power can harm or break. As her fist makes contact with it, the mechanism snaps back fast and pushes her body harder into the target. And the further back it's pulled, the stronger her punch actually is. For example, if a short and simple tug allows her to break through a wall with a small hole without momentum, then a longer one is able to break a bigger hole and crack into the wall from the same position. Her entire strength and mass are essentially pushed forward with greater force, making it much stronger, allowing the opposing materials to break easier. The main drawback to these attacks are simple. For a strong impact, she needs to pull her gauntlet back further, which is hard to do for quick situations, due to the stance Hibiki has to take to do such a thing. For those confused, an image below depicts how the actual process works.

I asked Hiro if it was okay for me to switch out Hibiki's powerset for a completely new one, which is currently happening in the miniplot I'm writing for her.

As such, this isn't really an upgrade, but a revamp of her entire powerset.
I kept her older one in a spoiler since you never know if flashbacks or shit like that happen, I think it's a good thing to keep it there in case something comes up.

But as of now, her powerset will be the new one, which I'll need someone to look over and approved. Hiro already approved that I could switch it out, so all I need now is someone who can check it and stamp it for me.
