Powers/Abilities

Full Divestment
In time, people with blinding speed learn that if you strike first, you’ll win. But what if the other person is too strong, or has enchanted equipment? Thus the art of divesting became necessary as greater and greater heroes came about. Dular’s efficiency and skill with his hands allows him to forcibly remove any weapon, armour, and helmet in an instant, and attacks many important nerves in the hand in the process, making the other person unable to pick up anything heavier than cutlery for an hour(However, they can still form punches). A skill for almost any situation as far as he’s concerned.

Shadow Chase
Learning how to be invisible takes a year to master from the Thieves guild. Learning how to move while invisible takes 2 from the Rogues guild. Another two years from the Stalkers guild will yield this art, the ability to move invisibly, while being unable to be detected. Doing this technique requires immense concentration, as such any attack(His or opponents) will reveal him, and oddly enough footprints are left behind for a few seconds as he walks around. He is detectable by infra-red as well, and can only keep this up as long as long as he is focused.

Dagger proficiency
Dular has spent almost all his life refining his skill with daggers, and can apply that skill to combat. He personally dislikes using any form of throwing knife, and prefers to keep his weapons in his hands. Never afraid to fight dirty, Dular will happily stab someone in the back from the shadows.

Weapons/Equipment:
Ginnungagap
A dagger with an unnaturally dark coloured blade, found while mass murdering mass murderers in the depths of Nifleheim. A weapon with a small cost, but great reward upon every swing of its blade, this blades story is told to whoever holds it. It can blind an enemy for an hour every 100 slashes, and for every 1000 slashes, the wielder is blinded for a day… At least it used to do that. Upon arrival to this world, it has since lost its powers, but still tells its power to those who hold it.

Deerstalkers Hat
A simple hat that Dular holds close to his heart, this hat makes Dular who he is, and looks on it with fond memories of slaying hundreds of foes, to sipping some tea with his allies. Ah memories…

Personality Description

Dular is a cold-blooded, heartless, unforgiving murderer wrapped in an easygoing and carefree personality. Although careful, calculating, and quick-witted, he prefers to take things easy, unless things are not going his way. If something startles him(very uncommon), he will get serious, carefully studying all the factors around him and making moves toward his goal.

Although yes he kills people, he prefers the simple things in life; such as a stroll through the park, or a board game with some friends. He also adores good food, and always cooks with a smile. Curiously enough, although Dular is usually very charming, he can also be a complete bonehead at times.

History

Dular’s youth is unknown to all but one person. But what is known was that in the land of Rune-Midgard, during the War of Emperium, two lone warriors raided an empty castle owned by a large guild and claimed it for their own, announcing to the world their intent to keep the castle. The large guild was furious, and sent an army to take back their castle, sending out a message to all who opposed them; but something happened. The two lone warriors started slaughtering the army. It started with one soldier, two soldiers, five soldiers, ten soldiers, twenty five soldiers, fifty soldiers.. The forces kept coming, and the two kept killing. No later than the two hundredth death was the customary war over, the two warriors were able to keep their castle, and they announced to the world who they were. Dular and Dullios of the newly formed guild The Eyes of Darkness. They made a call to all who would listen, a promise of destruction and chaos, to shake the foundations of the very land they stood upon. Highly skilled warriors, mages, clerics, rangers, people of all variety who had listened were enthralled by the speech, and wished to join. Quickly Dular and Dullios became the most feared duo in all the lands. No one person could stand against either of them, it was as though their power was from the very hell itself.. And it was true. A demon inhabited Dular, granting him superhuman abilities. The demon wanted to rule, and saw Dular as an appropriate vessel, but was not aware that Dular was more cunning than the demon thought. Dular kept making outrageous claims, and was following through with them, nobles fell left and right, many hid in fear of Dular and Dullios, until the very Gods themselves intervened. They discovered the demon and extracted it from Dular. Unsure of what to do with the demon, The gods decided to invert the evil so as to add another helper to their holy army, but the evil proved so great that another, however lesser God was born. This God was to be their assistant in watching over the land… While Dular smirked all the while. It looked like the connection held up. Hiding away a small portion of the demons power within himself allowed him to see and hear what the newly made God would see and hear. Although now unable to access the incredible demonic power, and as such unable to take on an army by himself, Dular moved to the elite town of Lighthalzen and started to take a less active role in direct fighting and the more important role of leading an entire guild of thugs and evildoers. Dular would still occasionally adventure, but less so.

Things were peaceful for Dular for a long time. Dullios still had the bulk of his dark powers, and his guild was destroying kingdoms ever so slowly, under his command. At one point his guild even claimed an entire desert town. His God was granted the ability to teleport, to which Dular was surprised to learn that he could now do so as well. A fun parlour trick, useful for evading assassinations. It was when he learned something from the eyes and ears of his deific other half that he saw cause for alarm.
“Soon, this world will be destroyed, and we will be unable to prevent it.”
Upon hearing those words, he called all forces for an emergency meeting. The gathering took days to complete, but such a drastic move was unlike Dular, and with all the villains in one place, it was impossible for the heroes to not make their move. The meeting started, and the place swarmed instantly with knights, mages, royal guards.. Immediately Dular sounded the retreat, with Dullios and Dular both fleeing out a secret door. Thoughts began circling his head.

“It’s as though every single guild and royal army is out there.. They’re going to slaughter everyone.”
“My best knights and mages.. Vielle.. Irene.. Tori.. Spokey.. My friends, who’ve I spent all this time with.. I’m sorry.”
“The world is going to end soon as well… And I have no method.. To… Escape..?”

At the end of the secret passage, Dular stopped, as did Dullios, who motioned for Dular.
“Dull, I have an idea on how to escape. I’m not an amazing man of science, but I think I can make us safe from the world ending. We’re not escaping, we’re heading to the lab. Go collapse every single secret tunnel. We bunkering here.”

A simple nod, and Dullios set off to do his job. What would Dular do without him, and vice versa he thought. It was time to get to work.

Dular’s plan was simple, yet complicated. He would apply his ability to teleport on a warp portal, which allowed teleportation of great distances, to jump far enough to make it to another world. Combining magic was considered next to impossible, and was never successfully done before, but Dular kept experimenting, with the thoughts of his lost friends and of course, the world ending keeping him motivated. Cooking with Vielle, picnics with his generals, the philosophical chats with Irene, slaughtering the innocents with Tori.. Those happy days were never going to come back now. Snapping back into reality with the 736th test, the test object finally disappeared.

“Dullios, I think… I think it worked.”

A look of interest crept up on Dullios’ face, despite being covered by his mask. A mild earthquake started occurring.

“Nn? What’s going on? Dull, can you check the pipe and see what’s going on out there?”

Dullios complied, looking outside. It didn’t even last a second.
“Get over here. Look, now!”
“What? What is it? What’s going on out there?”
The rumbling became fiercer. Dular looked outside. The time had come.

“WE’RE GOING! NOW! I HAVE NO IDEA IF THIS WILL WORK, BUT WE GOTTA GO!”

The duo made a beeline for the portal, Dular was in first as the apocalypse came at that moment. It was unlike any teleportation spell he felt. He was clearly moving, he saw entire worlds fly by, some by twice, until he landed all of a sudden in a back alleyway.

“What.. What happened? I’m still alive.. What happened to Dullios? Where am I?”

Dular checked himself. His weapon seemed alright. He could still teleport… There was no Dullios though, and he was his end goal right now. Dular began to think…
“Okay… First, I have to spend some time learning where I am and how this world works. Then, find a mage, kill him, steal his work, and maybe I can find a spell that will find where Dullios is. If not, there might be another world that might have that kind of magic, and there should be a teleport scroll at the very least.. Now, is there someone who might recognize me? I had some of my scientists working on dimensional travel.. I think they made a breakthrough a few days before the chaos, and if the kingdoms got their notes, there is a very small possibility that Raem or Mesden or someone else is here… I better play it safe and make an alias, and no murder for now.. No need to draw attention to myself.”
Now going by Bartre T. Brave, Dular ventured into this new world with little knowledge, but that would change.

Two months passed, Dular had a pretty good idea how this world worked, and he had been surviving in the wild for food and bedding, and stole some clothing off a teenager. He hadn’t seen any trace of magic though, which worried him, but maybe magic just wasn’t as widespread. He’ll have to start looking into it. Until… It hit him like a truck. He could no longer teleport. But how? His connection.. Was cut. Either his deific self was killed or something blocked the link. But what could block it? Maybe he was too far away, but that would have happened immediately, or someone blocked dimensional travel..

“Yeah. That was probably it.” There wasn’t much else that explained it better, and Dular was completely trapped here now. But how? The technology in this world was amazing, but to lock the world is the realm of magic. As such, Dular began his search for answers. It seems that finding his way out of this world was quickly getting more and more complicated, but he would not falter. Dular would spend the next year and a half searching for answers and taking small odd jobs for a bit of spending money, and the occasional bribe. With a good tip, he finally made his way to a certain high school. “If the information I gathered is right… This is where it all happened. Now, I should slowly start getting some real answers around here.” Dular thought of his plan once more.

Open the world, start world jumping, find Dullios, and get back their life. And it seems that he’s starting to get close to the answers, as he’s gotten a job near Hyakuji, and is starting to actively pursue what's in the school..

“Dullios.”
“Yeah?”
“Do you ever wonder.. What this world would have been like, without us?”
Dullios sat in contemplation, having just taken a bite of his sandwich. It had been two months already since they locked themselves in this underground lab. Fortunately Dular always kept it extremely well stocked with food, for just such an occasion, so the two could eat well and chat when Dular’s head started to hurt. Dullios finished chewing and offered his response.
“Boring.”
“Heh.. Yeah. I suppose so. No real wars or anything, the gods would have gotten so bored that they would’ve destroyed the world just to make things interesting.”
“Like I would let them have the fun.”
“Yeah, you probably wouldn’t. Jerk.”
“Bum.”
The two finished their meals in silence and cleaned up. Dular stretched his arms out and looked at his many failed attempts.
“Well, I better get back to work.”

Ill just assume you read the Hyakuji History and chose to implement it so I can give this a pass \o/
