Occupation: Student
Grade Level: Sophomore
Powers/ Abilities:
Passive: (active all the time)

  • - Keen sense of smell
  • - Keen sense of hearing
  • - Strength, and agility near that of professional athletes
  • - Alpha presence – An alpha wolf presence surrounds Kagetsu affecting most type of animals near him. But while some animals accept it and follow Kagetsu, some animals in particular cats have a defensive reaction to his presence and either runaway or prepare to fight him. And while it sometimes clashes with other humans in positions of command, it tends to make Kagetsu generally more likeable.
  • - Regeneration – the reason most weapons don’t kill a Werewolf is because of their regeneration abilities, but the regenerations power is affected on the type of damage.

    • - Normal weapons and injury - while the attacks harm the flesh, and they can effectively cripple Kagetsu for a time, the regeneration abilities of being a Werewolf make it so that the next day the wound is completely healed and appears as if it had never happened.
    • - Magical damage done to Kagetsu is slower to regenerate than a normal wounds and depending on the extent of the injury can last upwards of 3 to 4 days before the wound heals competely.
    • - Silver, on the other hand is very damaging to Kagetsu. In fact it turns the regeneration powers of being a Werewolf against him, and as long as he is in contact with silver, it’s corrosive causing more damage as time goes by. The wounds also take much longer to heal, taking about twice as long as a wound of that nature would take to heal on a normal human.
Shapeshifting:
Due to the time Kagetsu has spent as a werewolf and that he has learned to embrace being one he is able to transform any time he wishes between these three forms and remain in control of himself despite the animal urgings while in Werewolf and wolf forms.

  • Human form – The form Kagetsu uses the most of the time choosing only certain times to change into his Werewolf and wolf forms. (See picture above for reference).
  • Werewolf form – Increasing in size slightly Kagetsu takes on the form a half wolf, half man in appearance. While the increased strength and agility are present in all of his forms, the advantage to transforming into a Werewolf is the natural weaponry of the claws and teeth. The disadvantage is an increased urge to slaughter and eat, and before Kagetsu embraced this urge and thus control it, the urges often lead to him destroying the livestock of the area where he grew up. (See picture above for reference)

    • Howl of Terror – While in Werewolf Kagetsu lets out a loud shrill howl. The howl will frighten away the weak of heart but on strong willed people often only serves to break their concentration momentary. More effective at night than if used during the day.

  • Wolf form – Shrinking in size to the size of large wolf Kagetsu takes on the appearance of the same type of wolf that had started the curse so many generations ago. In this form Kagetsu is able to communicate with other wolfs. This form also has increased urging but unlike the Werewolf’s forms want of needless destruction, the wolf’s urges are more subtle, and tend to lead more towards survival than anything else. (See picture above for reference)

Werewolf venom:

  • Werewolf venom is a powerful poison that Kagetsu can inject within just about any creature, via a bite while he is in Werewolf form. But to avoid the Werewolf curse form spreading unchecked and uncontrolled, Kagetsu can choose when to inject his unlucky bite victims. (Note: This will never be used unless permission form the staff is given. It is simply listed because I felt it was necessary to put down as a power.)

Personality Description:
Kagetsu is a generally likeable person and often gets along with many people despite his seemingly natural ability to cause mischief. But while he is generally likeable by most people he often clashes with people in power, because he often believes they aren’t doing the right things.

One ironic thing about Kagetsu is a love for cats. Kagetsu is a big cat lover but due to him being a Werewolf and that most animals know a Werewolf as soon as they see one, cats strongly dislike Kagetsu. Another bizarre aspect of Kagetsu is his allergy to silver. Whenever there is substantial amount of silver within 20 feet of Kagetsu he often begin sneezing.

Personal History:
For his entire like Kagetsu has been a Werewolf. He was born into small clan of Werewolves that lived in a rural region of Japan and had for hundreds of years. Due to the fact that other Werewolves always surrounded Kagetsu, he quickly begun to learn and use his abilities. He quickly learned to master his Werewolf nature and it became apparent as after only 4 transformations he was able to fully embrace the Werewolf’s nature and thus control it, where as it usually took other children on average eight tries before managing any level of control while being a Werewolf.

While Kagestu’s ability to master his Werewolf powers came much quicker than other children drew attention, Kagetsu also due attention because of his nature. He seemed to be blood crazy, taking any chance he could to kill, often hunting when it was unnecessary. While he did not commit mass slaughter, or kill for no reason many of times he went hunting, while the extra food and supplies were helpful it was often unnecessary.

As per tradition on his 16th birthday the clan leader charged Kagetsu with a task. Due to the fact that the clan had been dwindling in numbers over the past years Kagetsu was charged with spreading the curse. Kagetsu immediately set out traveling looking for a try and spread the curse and bolster his clan’s strength. He quickly came upon the city of Hyakuji, and in particular the school within the city drew his attention. The school seemed to attract many unusual people, and seemed like the prefect place to begin spreading the cruse and not be noticed.

Now entering the school as a student Kagetsu has begun to plan the best way to spread the Werewolf curse.

RP Sample:
A small twig snapped under Kagetsu’s paw as he moved though the forest. Instantly reacting to the sound the deer in front of Kagetsu heads shot up to look for what had made the noise. Willing himself to be as small as possible Kagetsu laid as flat as his could his belly scraping along the ground as his moved. As a deer’s head turn toward Kagetsu he instantly froze with one of his front paws in mid air. After what seemed like hours but was actually only a few minutes the deer must have determined it was safe and begun to relax and eat once again. No longer in immediate danger of being spotted Kagetsu glanced up at the sky, the sun was getting close to the horizon, so the deer would soon be bedding down for the night giving Kagetsu his chance.

But unfortunately he wouldn’t get his chance. Suddenly the wind shifted and the deer begun to act nervous, stomping their feet and looking around wildly. It took the scent the wind carried a little longer to reach Kagetsu’s sensitive noise but as soon as it did he realized what had scared the deer. The wind carried the scent of a wolf up ahead, not just one but multiple wolfs, an entire pack that must have at least been 10, to 15 strong. Kagetsu having no desire to being forced to deal with the local wolf pack at the moment begun to move away, but he wasn’t so lucky. Suddenly the tables turned on Kagetsu as 2 wolfs jumped out in front of Kagetsu blocking his path.

The way wolfs communicate was drastically different than humans and having not been in contact with any wolfs within the past 6 months, Kagetsu’s ability to translate was slow. Wolfs speak though images though images they send to each other mentally so managing to translate the wolfs image into words was often hard. Packless what are you doing on our lands? the pack leader asked Kagetsu as he stepped forward form the small circle of wolfs that was now surrounding Kagetsu. I was just passing though these lands to try and reach a human city, I did not know this land have been claimed, Kagetsu answered looking around warily. Even transforming into a werewolf he would be hard pressed to take on more than 10 wolfs in a coordinated attack. The pack leader raised his upper lip in the closest wolf’s imitation of laughter You say the land was not marked clearly enough? Your foolishness betrays you Packless. Go now do your business with the humans; you stink almost as much as one of them. The packleader ordered and then nodded to two of the wolfs standing behind Kagetsu. As Kagetsu walked away, he was followed by the two wolfs the packleader had nodded to. Kagetsu tried to have a conversation with them but apparently these two had a very strong dislike to outsiders and wanted nothing to with Kagetsu at all.

Shortly after leaving the two unfriendly escorts behind as he entered unclaimed territory Kagetsu stood atop a hill that over looked the human city of Hyakuji below. Changing back into his human form and throwing his clothes back on Kagetsu looked down at the city for a long time, just sitting there and thinking. “This is where I shall start…” He said into the wind as he continued to stare at the city below him.
