Hyakuji 2.0 Template Character Name: Nii Senjou Gender: Female Age: 16 Height: 5'7" Weight: 125 lbs. Description or Image of Character Appearance: Spoiler: click to toggle Spoiler: click to toggle Spoiler: click to toggle Spoiler: click to toggle Spoiler: click to toggle Spoiler: click to toggle Spoiler: click to toggle Occupation: Student/Ramen stand cook Grade Level: Freshman Powers/ Abilities: Cat-Fire: Nii's soul is fused with a nekomata's, which grants her the ability to control flames. Though her over all skill with them is greatly unpolished. She can generate a flame anywhere on her body, as well as within a 10 meter radius around her body. Flames that she does not generate are a bit harder for her to take control of and take a post of complete concentration for her to grapple. Her proficiency with her fire is mostly limited to throwing softball sized fireballs that create a small explosion upon impact. (Though that isn't to say that is all she can do, just what she is best with. When it comes to actually making flames take other forms, or trying to do something like a flamethrower, she usually fails) Any other significant moves will be listed below:
Random trivia: Her flames are always blue Ruby Claws: Nii can form claws on the ends of her fingers. These claws are six inches long, thin, and red in color. The ones on her thumbs are an inch shorter and a little bit thicker than the others. Highly durable in nature, they can out last most other earthly metals, and take a beating for a long time. They are also very sharp; able to cut through just about everything, unless the target is magically enhanced. However, they are not unbreakable and once they are broken, they shatter and are gone for the rest of the thread. Chakra Abilities: Chakra is essential to even the most basic technique; it is the molding of the physical energy present in every cell of the body and the spiritual energy gained from exercise and experience. Once molded, it can be channeled through the chakra circulatory system, which is to chakra as the regular circulatory system is to blood, to any of the 361 chakra points (called tenketsu) in the body. The chakra can then be manipulated to create an effect that would not be possible otherwise. Significant applications of this will be listed below:
Measuring her Chakra abilities is used in slots. Nii starts a thread with ten slots (she can have a max of 20). Every post she does not use a chakra move, she regains a slot. When all ten slots run out, she must focus solely on meditating, which will take a two rounds of posting to recharge her full reserves. If she is interrupted, all progress toward earning her chakra back is negated, and she reverts back to however many she had before she began meditation. Soothsaying: [*Personal Plot line Power Only*] Every once in a while, Nii gets a premonition of an events yet to come. Most of the time this power doesn't work, or only give her things that are useless (such as the color of a flower she will pass by on her way to school). But sometimes, though rare, she will get something bigger usually foretelling some sort of major disaster. Though, premonitions of this caliber have happened only once or twice in her life. Equipment You Have: Senjou Scroll (described in history) Residency Request: Fudo Schedule: Homeroom Teacher: Mare 1) Supernatural Studies 2) Science 3) The Arts Personality Description: Nii is a serious individual. She keeps a level and calm head at all times. Due to her serious ninja training, she views most tasks given to her as serious missions, and will do her best to carry them out to the best of her ability, no matter hos menial. In most recreational situations, she will prefer to hang near the back of the area. Out of sight, out of mind. This does not mean that she doesn't condone fun, or experience it herself, just that she doesn't express it very often when she is experiencing it. In fact, this is a problem with most of her emotions; not expressing them. If she is really happy and smirks a bit, to her its about as expressive as gleefully jumping up and down while shouting 'yahoo!' would be to normal people. If she is sad and she tears up ever so slightly, its about as expressive as curling up in a corner and bawling ones eyes out would be to normal people. And so forth and so on with all her emotions. However, if she feels 100% comfortable with someone, she won't worry about holding her emotions back anymore. Nii is very loyal to her friends, those that put up with her non-expressiveness anyways. Unlike most people in her clan, she believes that the strength of the clan is the ninja, and the strength of the ninja is the clan. Meaning, she was only as strong as her companions were, and that teamwork is key to any situation. Betraying her friends to her is akin to betraying her clan. Personal History: The Senjou clan of ninjas was neither large, nor small. they were a decent sized clan who fought for only one goal: balance. The elders of their clan followed a way of life that called for a balance in all things, evil to counter act good, poverty to counteract wealth. At times it was a very harsh way of life. But at other times it was a very benevolent way of life. It even reached the point that balance was almost some sort of god to the clan. Nii Senjou was the daughter of a prominent member of the family, Nara Senjou. She had big shoes to fill, and while he was expectant of his daughter, he was also very supportive and positive to her. He loved her dearly, and she loved him dearly. It was from him she received her beliefs about companionship and teamwork, as well as a skepticality regarding their religious beliefs about balance. Not too far away lived a rival clan of ninjas who only fought for one reason: chaos. It was a rivalry that was as old as time, and would exist til the sky burned and the sea boiled. The Tenjou tried to thwart the efforts of the Senjou at every turn. In the beginning, it was a friendly competition. But as the years wore on, it became darker and darker, til the present day where the two clans hated each other. This hate, eventually sparked a clan war. By the time Nii was a young teen, the clan war was reaching it's climax. Both sides were at their strongest, and the next few battles would be crucial. Both sides fought fiercely, each winning some and losing some. Neither side would relinquish any ground without soon taking it back. But then, the Tenjou hatched a rather insidious plan. They gave up a lot of lang, and let the Senjou push deep into their territory, only to come in behind them and bum rushed their home village. Needless to say, this didn't end well for the Senjou. They hurried their troops back to their village to lend assistance, but they arrived too late. The Tenjou had already destroyed many of the buildings, monuments, elders, and civilians by the time the main army reached home. The final battle of the war was fought there, and with their moral in shambles, their leadership slaughtered, and the brutality of the Tenjou, the Senjou lost. Nara Senjou was dealt a fatal wound as he defended his daughter and their home. Nii rushed to his side, begging him not to die. But her please were in vain. He handed her one of the villages last sacred Senjou Scrolls, a scroll that documented every training method, jutsu, and fighting style the clan ever taught/made. He told her that since he was dying, and their clan had been slaughtered, this was what was supposed to be her training from then on. With that, he breathed his last. Nii wept and asked her father what part of this was balance. Her mother had died in childbirth, and now her father had been killed in a war trying to defend a village who believed in a concept the harmed as much as it saved. Forsaking all ties to her clan's belief in balance, Nii fled her village. There was nothing left for her there except sadness and death. Not knowing what to do, she chased a rumored clan that took in others, no matter what their heritage. This clan was said to be able to train others in whatever walk of life they took. The journey there would be long, treacherous, and hard, but Nii was willing to risk it. She had no other option left. This rumor took her all over Japan, from one lead to the next. As she traveled, she always kept an eye out for sins of the Tenjou...but they never came after her. During her travels, she stumbled upon a dying Nekomata. It had been chased by a hunter and had managed to defend it's home from the intruder, but had sustained a fatal wound in the process. Feeling a similarity to how her father died, Nii asked if there was anything she could do to save it. There was only one way: They would have to meld their souls. The end result would give Nii access to a Nekomata's powers as she learned them over time, but would also give her a second consciousness, that of the Nekomata. Seeing it as a way to somehow make it up to her father (and also wishing for more power to enact her eventual revenge on the Tenjou), she accepted the offer and the two became one. Nii woke up from the procedure feeling more alive than she ever had in her life. Her search for the rumored clan resumed, with her searching more aggressively than before. With the spiritual energy of two souls in her body, she found that she could do more before becoming tired and requiring sleep, and only needing half as much sleep as she did before. With this new boost to her abilities she covered twice as much distance than she did before, and was able to reach her destination long before anticipated. Upon arrival, she learned that the 'Hyakuji Clan' she had heard rumors about was much more than a clan; it was a school. A school for people with various abilities and skills. This was a huge difference compared to what she was expecting, and she almost decided against joining it. But, reality crashed on her. Where else would she go? She had no other options, no other places or people to turn to. Her whole clan had been massacred, and if she wasn't the only survivor, she didn't know where any others could be. With all that in mind, and with a few words of encouragement from the Nekomata, Nii took her first steps onto the campus of Hyakuji. This was to be her new home. Her new clan... Mashed Potatoes? The proof is in the pudding. Edited by Queen Fang, Jul 9 2013, 06:57 AM.
