Look at her, and listen to her. Even from her voice there was no doubt of that feel of hopelessness she's having at the moment. It suddenly struck him, just how long had she been here, trapped in this godforsaken place, separated from her friends and completely clueless on how to escape this place or even what the hell is going on...

No. No way, he's not having that. He is not having that at all, thought Seth, as he turned around on the spot, stepped up in front of Seiko, grabbing her hand and clasping it tight in his own, with a seemingly renewed fiery determination in his eyes, "Oi, come on, don't give up yet!" Seth barked sternly at Seiko, his voice now seemed full of confidence. "I don't know what this place is, or what the hell is going on, but don't you worry. We're going to find our friends, we're going to help you save Naomi, and I don't know how, but we will find a way out of this place! And you're coming with us, even if I have to punch this place in the metaphorical face to do so!"

...A little moment of silence there after his speech, only to have it be broken by "Eeey Seth, this isn't the time to be playing shounen hero ya know~"

What? But wait, he wasn't-... "Oh shut it!" The young man snapped at the gleefully grinning half-phantom leaning against the wall, and without further ado ushered both of them out of the room. "Also if you don't mind, I'm bringing the tongue," Youma added, waving the bloody bag in her hand.

...He's not even going to bother answering. But as they exited the room, the young man would find something quite... to put it nicely, repulsive. He thought it was his imagination, but the bruise on Seiko's neck seemed to... throb and pulsate... and making it worse, he seemed to be hearing heartbeats... "...S-Seiko?"

And then it disappeared, as quickly as it came. Leaving him with only "Oh, uh... nevermind, move along..." to answer to Seiko's curious stare.

God he hoped that was just his imagination... this place is pretty damn sickening as it is already...

Regardless, they're out, and they're getting somewhere finally. No other way to go except the right path, so that's where they're going. "Oh, our school?" He answered, figuring a conversation to fill in the silence might be nice. "Mm, that's pretty much what Hyakuji High School really is. People with powers from all over the world come there to learn how to master their powers. ...Of course that doesn't mean we're free from maths or history class..." A little grumble of disappointment there coming from him, but eh.

In any case, another fork after a long walk. But this time he's learned his lesson at least. "Er... let's stick together this time," Seriously don't want to get separated again like last time. Speaking of, where the heck are those three he was with earlier...?

Seth took the right route, making sure the other two are right behind him, keeping the long uneventful walk until they finally ran into something that's at least mildly interesting, a classroom door. "Hold on a bit," The half-phantom snapped, stopping the other two as she walked up to the door, placing her hand on it and sniffing around eagerly for any sign of... well, anything out of place that might be dangerous.

The girl still doesn't trust this place.

OOC: Oh God sorry for the delay, these past few days have been crazy for me.

"Ahahaha, that sounds like a normal school. If you don't mind me asking, what's your power supposed to be?" Seiko asked, glad to see that he was looking more sociable this time around.

Meanwhile, room would eventually not seem at all that dangerous to Youma - there were no sounds to be heard from inside, and there wasn't any kind of dangerous presence in it either. It looked relatively normal - as normal as anything in this damned place could be, anyway, no holes or dead bodies and the like. In fact, this place felt... calmer than any of the other rooms, like it was a safe haven.
"Let's go in here for a bit. This place feels safe for some reason," Seiko said as she entered.

On the teacher's podium was a black cat plushie. However, the moment any of them tried to approach it, it... disappeared, then the door would gently close. It wasn't a doorslam, but it was kind of creepy nonetheless.

Then the voices would begin - both Youma and Seth would recognize them as Hotaru and Ayane!

"Is this fine? It was my mama's last birthday gift to me before we were... well, killed," Ayane said. Wait, killed? Something's not right about -
"Yes. Now then..."
"You're making it messy!" Why was Ayane sounding like she was seven years old and whining about something getting messy?
"Sorry! But this is the only way. It'll go away once it's done, and it'll be like it was never written on."

At this point, a faint outline could be seen in the middle of the classroom - a faint afterimage of what looked like Hotaru talking to a seven year old girl, with Ayane fiddling with her cellphone next to them. Hotaru looked like she was placing her thumb on the cat plushie they saw earlier, though for what reason that could be was unknown at this point.
"I should have just given you my tongue," the girl pouted.

... Wait, WHAT

"Well, we could have done wait did you just say YOUR TONGUE!?" Hotaru gasped.
"Yes, my tongue. Would you like to do that?"
"... No. That's gross. I like your tongue where it is, thanks."
"Tch."

What the hell was going on here!?

"... A future afterimage. Looks like that girl got to them safely."

Another voice. This time, female, and unknown. She was standing behind them.

Posted Image
"Please, put those away. This is a safe haven for now," the girl said, referring to Youma's weapons. "I can see that you also have that girl's tongue. Good. That makes things easier. I am Naho Saenoki. I... we need your help, but I imagine that you have some questions about what the hell this place is about... so it would be best to get those questions out of the way right now."

"...Uh. ...Superstrong like Superman I guess...?" Honestly, considering his actual condition, it's easier to just explain his abilities that way, which really isn't that far from the truth. "Though I can't fly or shoot beams from my eyes. ...Which I guess would be pretty convenient, hrm..."

While Seth was left to ponder on the possible scenarios he'd get into if he could fly or shoot eye beams, Youma's inspection on the room behind the door yielded nothing worth of notice. Which is... probably a good thing. After confirming that it was safe she proceeded to enter first, followed soon enough by the other two.

And then there was a black cat.

Well, a cat plushie, but a cat nonetheless. A somewhat odd place for it to be around, honestly. "Ho-yay, more collectibles..." The half-phantom mumbled softly to herself, approaching the teacher's podium with her hand raised to poke at the... air. Youma blinked in silent surprise, apparently stunned for a moment before waving her hand around the spot where the cat plush was supposed to be, looking weird enough for Seth to call out to the half-phantom, "Youma? What are you doing?"

"There was a cat-..."
The half-phantom caught herself halfway through her words, unsure whether she should actually say it. The idea that she might be having hallucinations in this place doesn't exactly seem comforting.

Luckily (...though dunno whether this is supposed to be a good thing or not) she won't be the only one having to deal with hallucinations. The door suddenly closing without anyone touching it would be the least of their worry, especially when voices were then heard, recognizable as belonging to Hotaru and Ayane... "...The hell...?" It was the only thing Seth could really say about the events unfolding in front of him... What are they talking about, 'killed'...?

At the mention of tongue he wheeled around to look at Youma, whom drew out the bloody bag she had been carrying around earlier just on a whim, both of them staring blankly at it. "...Heh, will you look at that... this sounds like some weird sacrificial ritual or something..." The half-phantom said with a nervous chuckle, shaking the bag of tongue in front of her.

Next moment though, a completely new voice altogether made her jump right into defensive, turning around and, with a flash of white light materialized Roukanken at her waist, her hand grasping tightly on the hilt and was primed to draw out the blade and cleave whatever abomination she was expecting to see-

"Youma!"

Only to be stopped by Seth calling out to her, looking somewhat alarmed by the new presence but... not particularly disturbed. "...Put that away, she's alright," He said, choosing to trust what the new girl said about this place being a safe place. To which she only begrudgingly sheathed her half-drawn sword and stepped aside.

She's still not letting go of the hilt though, no way she's dropping her guard even for a minute here. Seth stepped forward, tossing Hakurouken back to Youma. "Seth Ryouga, student of Hyakuji High," Introduction first, common courtesy and all. "...If that's the case then I hope you don't mind me asking... what the hell is this place? And how do we get out of here?"

...He have this feeling that he's going to be disappointed with the answer for his second question, but it's the only thing that he really cared about at the moment. Aside from finding the others- "Also what's with the tongue?"

...Could she please stop butting in on his train of thoughts?

OOC: Being exhausted every night is suffering ~_~ sorry about the delay.

"This place... I'm not really sure exactly what it is, but I can tell you what it does. By performing the Sachiko Ever After Charm, you effectively bind yourself to this place. It's similar to a sealing spell, but... reversed in a way," Naho explained. "I'm not sure how it started, but one thing's for sure - this place was formed by the violent death of three children from the vengeful spirit of an equally wronged child by the name of Sachiko Shinozaki. Even I didn't know until now that she was the one behind this, despite her name being all over the charm in the first place. Now it serves to suck in more souls to feed this wretched dimension through the unwitting use of the charm. A charm that I, sadly... helped to spread."

Seiko perked at that. "The story about the three kids sounds like... that newspaper clipping that we saw just now! But what's this about you spreading it in the first place?..."
"Exactly that. My mentor, Hibiki-sensei, was an occult writer and author, and wanted to explore this place for his next book despite my warnings not to. In order to help him find a way to escape, and also to give him a larger sample for research... I purposely released the wrong version of the charm, which is needed to enter this realm in the first place. Doing it correctly does absolutely nothing."
It was weird hearing from her that she was the instigator of this whole affair, but it seemed that she regretted having to do this at all.
"Then afterwards, me and my best friend Sayaka entered this place ourselves in an effort to save him. Seeing as I'm dead, well... you can tell how well that went," she bitterly said. "If a whole group enters, they are divided and placed in different overlapping dimensions. Those three are in this very room, but in another dimension of this same place, unable to see or hear you at all. That's pretty much what happened to me and Sayaka... and I can only presume that the worst has already happened to her...
"As to what this place does, it feeds on the despair of those who enter... and takes the souls of those who die here and reinforces this plane of existence. Those who die are unable to pass on, doomed forever to feel the pain of their deaths forever."

"You don't seem to be in much pain for someone who's dead," Seiko mused.
"Not all pain is physical. I carry my own guilt as it is. The only reason I am even free is because Sachiko herself decided to take my darkness onto herself, as she is the only one who can control it. It seems that she was freed from her own darkness by the last people who managed to escape this place, and to atone for her sins, wants to destroy this place once and for all," Naho said. "That and... uh, she was helped by some kind of Troll."
"... A what now?"
"I wish I knew what that meant, but she's a friend of yours," she said to Seth. "Short, has platinum bobcut hair with eight notes in her hair, likes to think she's Kenshiro from Hokuto no Ken when she's not. She apparently possesses powerful psychic and supernatural abilities... enough to stop me from almost killing her and taking Sachiko back."

... Oh God she was saved by Otoha? Saved might be a relative term in this case, but all things considered...

"As to that tongue, the best way to weaken this dimension and give Sachiko the chance to banish this place is to weaken the foundations that built this place - namely the three children that she killed," Naho continued. "That tongue is one of the keys... the other body parts, the others have to find... they're not necessarily in the same plane of existence as yours, but they're there, scattered... We have to appease them. Finding their body parts and offering it to them would do the trick. It worked for the others who managed to get out of here, as it weakened the borders between the dimensions and melded them into one singularity..."
"Who were they?" Seiko asked.
"... My time under the influence of the Darkening has muddled my memories. I'm sorry. I don't remember who they are. Speaking of which, that is another thing to watch out for. Being in this place for too long can slowly corrupt a person... pandering to their darker desires, and even turning them into a darker version of themselves until they are ultimately swallowed by the darkness completely. I wouldn't be surprised if your friends haven't already..."

"What the fuck are you doing, Kouta!? It's us!" another voice yelled out of nowhere. With that, the current afterimages of Ayane, Hotaru and Sachiko dissolved and became a faint outline of Aisia, Kinsley, another girl, and... Kamen Rider Kuuga!
But something was terribly wrong with Kuuga for some reason...
"Gibashida... gose pa... Zagibasu Gegeru zo..." he growled before leaping to punch the group with a right hook!
Aisia managed to shove the other two girls out of the way while forming a GN Sword III on her arm to parry the blow. The parry wasn't perfect, and the sword was formed haphazardly, so the solid shield shattered from the impact. However, there was something else going on here...
"Get her to safety! I'll handle him..." Aisia yelled.
"But what about you!? We can try to subdue him together!" Kinsley yelled.
"I have some unfinished business to deal with him... so this is more or less inevitable..." Aisia growled as she lunged towards Kuuga with a violent grin on her face!...

"Shit... it's already started... I need to stop them!" Naho growled. "Time works weirdly in this place when you're dead, so they're not in any immediate danger... so before I go to help them, is there anything else you need to know?"

Ehehe... yep, I'm late too so it's all even ~w~;

...So that's how these whole thing actually started in the first place. Needless to say it's about every bit as grim as he thought it would be. However there is at least one bit of relief, knowing that, while there are other people that had gotten themselves trapped in this world, there are also those who actually managed to get out. Escape isn't impossible, and he's got the means to do it in his hand. ...Well, Youma's hand, no way he's touching that ever.

Though the fact that he's being told about it by one of the victims that had already died since who knows how long ago feels a bit off-putting. Actually he didn't even realize she was actually one of the dead...

...Well, anyway, this is sorta good news, right? "At the very least now we know there's a way to go back," Seth said, unable to hold back his sigh of relief as he patted Seiko on the head in reassurance. "Now all we have to do is to meet up with the others, and then we can get out of here," Stay optimistic, after hearing the girl's explanation of this place it feels like the right thing to do to keep from being all depressed and all the negative feelings and then get swallowed by the darkness... Yeah.

Ahem. Anyway, "...So how do you find the three-" His sentence was cut halfway as the ghostly image of Ayane and Hotaru warped to something else- Kinsley and Aisia being attacked by Kuuga?! "The hell?! Kinsley, what?!" He yelped out of shock, unconsciously darted forward to stop Kuuga before actually realizing that this is simply an afterimage of... what? "...They're not in danger?" The young man muttered, a bit reassured though clearly still agitated at the sight... They're not in danger, 'yet', as far as he knew...

...Aah, dammit... fine, let's... let's focus on what they're supposed to do first before... ahem. "Er... as I was saying, how do you find the three children? And what should we do afterwards to escape this place? ...And where the heck did you find Otoha?"

"It was mostly because I was initially controlled by this place... and forced to almost kill her and take hers and Sachiko's souls into this place" Naho explained. "By themselves, they stood no match for me... but together, they were fortunately too strong for me and they overpowered me. Right before the influence of the Darkening could take over me completely, Sachiko took it onto herself and absorbed it. It's the only reason why I'm even still in control of myself at all, though... I don't know how long that will last..."
"You mean even after they freed you, you're still going to become a malevolent spirit again!?" Seiko gasped in horror.
"Looks like it. But if we can somehow break down this dimension by appeasing the spirits who bind it... we might stand a chance. By yourselves, you can't do anything about finding the other tongues. They are in different dimensions of this place, just like your friends, and travelling between them is almost impossible. Unless you're, well... dead. Or know where to look. Or freaking Otoha. I don't even know how being previously dead lets you do that shit and make it look easy," the former paranormal medium groaned. "How can you even be 'retired from death' like she says she is?"

... Someone's a little bitter about Otoha despite having been saved by her in the first place.

"Anyway, we cannot waste time. I will find this group of your friends and warn them. And hopefully save them from themselves. With any luck, the ghost they're trying to appease isn't too far behind, and that will expedite the process of appeasing him or her," Naho said. "Your other friends, the ones you came with, are still here... but I don't know what their status is. I have a bad feeling about that... perhaps one of the ghosts is with them. Try to offer her the tongue. If I'm still able to... I'll come back and help you. But for now, find them! They should be nearby. And keep your scrap pieces of the charm close! Do not lose them! Now go!" Naho said before disappearing in a puff of smoke.

The door of the classroom opened, and everything was back to their dreary state. The feeling of safety in the classroom was slowly growing cold, and if they stayed any longer, it would feel like the growing darkness itself would swallow them up...
"Let's find the others then! Hopefully we can find Naomi too... and break her out of whatever was possessing her..." Seiko whimpered.

There was only one path left to take once they got out, and that was the T-intersection from before. It would lead to another T-intersection as well - going west from their position would lead to another set of stairs, but those were blocked off by a pile of tables that would prove impossible to budge - as if they were part of the school instead of movable pieces of furniture.. Going east would also lead to another set of stairs, but it too was blocked off by the same kind of debris.

There was, however the telltale trail of blood that led west anyway, as well as a poster on the wall:
Quote:

The curses of the dead have a strong grip on this place. Whatever you do, do not read the victim's memoirs to their conclusion!

The blood trail led to a door on the west wing. Worse, the trail was... fresh.

They need to find their friends quickly!...

Gah, so that's all they could really do for now then? Find the spirit within their own dimension and appease to them and hope everything works for the best... Dammit, it's even worse when he sees the other being in trouble and he can't help them at all, just because they're in some other dimension.

...Nevermind, if this is all they could really do then it's better than nothing. Plus at least it's good to know that they're still within the same realm as Selene, Saito and Nanoha, and they're apparently being chased by a ghost whom this tongue belongs to. "Alright fine, if we find them we find the ghost, then we can finally do something... Come on," He said, with a clear sense of urgency dawning in his voice as he led the way, following the only path that they could really go at this point.

A path marked by a trail of blood. Glistening thick red liquid that he was quite sure wasn't there before, his stomach churning slightly from the sight of it at the thought of what might have happened before that they did not realize. Quickly following it he soon enough found the door where the trail of blood led him to.

...No doubt there was a little bit of hesitation but at this point, it's do or die. ...Well, try not to die.

His hand reached out to open the door...!

OOC: Sorry for the delay Fin. I was kind of hoping that the other thread would move as well so that you could reunite with the others, but it looks like I'll need to add... *sighs* filler.

It's a filler that sort of works nicely anyway.

The door opened up to a shower room. Perhaps this led to the pool?

Blood leading to a pool generally tends to end badly, but it wasn't like there were any other places to go.

Just like the rest of the school, it was just as ruined and dilapidated. The faucets didn't work no matter how Seth would try to turn them on, and the place stank of mold and mildew from disuse. It actually managed to smell worse here than in the toilets.

"I don't like this, Seth-kun..." Seiko mumbled as she followed Seth into the showers. "I don't think we're alone..."
"Oh... new people?"

Posted Image

Seiko turned to face the source of the voice, and at the same time, the door would close behind them. Any attempt to open the door would prove futile, meaning that this new person might have something to do with it and the people who might have passed through here.

Then again, nothing is ever as it seems here... the only thing known for sure is that this one needs to be approached carefully...

Well, this doesn't sound like good news.

"Hold it, don't be so rash," Though he honestly wasn't quite sure he was thinking right when he's telling Youma to hold down her weapon. Unlike last time with Naho... this one actually feels malicious. ...Well, what do you expect when you see blood all over the place before meeting her? Nudging the Half-Phantom back, Seth himself stepped forward. "Please excuse us for intruding. We were looking for our friends and we had kinda gotten lost... Have you seen anyone else besides us around?"

According to her own words, 'new people', it implies that someone had been here before. The question is, who?

"Oh, yes I have," the girl chuckled. "But, I have orders not to let anyone through. At least, not just yet."

She suddenly raised her right hand and put Seiko in a telekenetic chokehold, and the wound on the poor girl's throat started to throb for some reason!...
"You're playing with me for now, onii-chan~" she said as she raised her left hand to telekentically grab Seth's throat from afar! Unless Seth tried to dodge the attack, she would then throw him into Youma so that she could finish off Seiko!

"Seth... kun... heelp mee..." Seiko tried to sputter, but it was apparent that this new girl had no intention of letting go... and if she was allowed to keep this up, she could very well snap Seiko's neck in half!

Wh- hostile?!

It was probably because he has yet to encounter anything that was actually directly dangerous (besides that bathroom that ended up with Seiko hanging herself), the attack slipped right past his guard and caught him square in the throat! "G-gah!"

Had it actually been something solid and physical, nothing would have stopped him from just wrenching himself free with his ridiculous strength. But this is something he couldn't see, something he literally couldn't put his fingers on. Which means- "Owah-! Gu- get off me!" -there's nothing stopping the girl from tossing him around like a rag doll!

Of course, the moment he got his bearings together, and saw Seiko being strangled by the strange girl, "...You... rotten little...!" He snapped. For that one moment of trust he had decided to give her being trodden on, no way he's going to let her get away with trying to hurt Seiko. "Fine then, you want to play! Let's play!" When there wasn't an actual person to antagonize the first time Seiko was in danger, now there is one, a target for him to vent out his anger of someone being in danger.

And by god is he angry.

In that same moment he reached for the dropped Hakurouken, snatching it and with a terrifying amount of force threw it towards the girl's outstretched arm, aiming to stab through it! While there is a chance that the girl would end up being ethereal that nothing physical could actually harm her, it's not a problem for the ghostly sword Hakurouken, being capable of harming spiritual entities as well as it could flesh, blood and bones.

Seth did a valiant effort of retaliating against the other entity's attack. Unfortunately, that small second of being thrown back was enough time for her to...
"Seth... kuu-"

SNAP

Seiko's head suddenly fell limp even as the thrown Hakuroken cut through the air and the ghost girl's right arm. The malevolent spirit went screamed from the pain before dropping Seiko to the ground like a sack of potatoes.
The sickening thud on the floor and the silence that followed only served to make it even more apparent as to what happened. Her head was twisted at an unnatural angle, as if the neck bones were crushed completely without cutting through the skin, making it dangle loosely from her shoulders.

Seiko was dead.

And the malevolent ghost girl was... laughing?

"Ahahahaha! Awwww. The poor little girl couldn't keep her head on straight," she cackled even as she tried to nurse the deep slash on her arm. "Just fell apart like some kind of rag doll... how precious is that? Same thing's gonna happen to you onii-chan... and even your friends... and there's nothing you can do about it!"

If Seth allowed his emotions to go unchecked, he wouldn't notice the mists of darkness beginning to envelop him. Youma would be able to recognize it though, and she would notice that it had a similar effect as the magic used to seal her in the scroll, but with a much more sinister purpose...

Huh...?

...But... Seiko...?

He... he did it... right? He did save her... right?

I mean... h-he did threw the sword... It was a bullseye too, it hit the hostile girl...! Seiko, you're still alive... aren't you? He did it, didn't he...? He saved you, didn't he?

...Seiko?

Seiko, why aren't you answering...?

...Seiko...?

It was hard for him to register the reality of the situation, the sight of the lifeless body of the girl whom he had made sure to stick with him this entire time in front of him seemed to numb his senses significantly. He couldn't be sure of what he's hearing, he forgot where he is, he forgot what he was supposed to even be doing at the moment.

The only thing he could remember is that girl...

That girl laughing in front of him...

...That girl who killed Seiko...!

"...Must die..."

...Eh?

Was... she imagining it...? The half-phantom could only assume to herself, tearing her eyes away from the lifeless corpse of Seiko to Seth himself. He didn't look any diff- "...Wha- SETH!"

Her train of thought stopped dead in its track when she saw the mist of darkness materializing out of nowhere and started to surround Seth. She had grabbed her other sword in an attempt to cleave the mist away, but at one moment, something made her stop. Something about the mist that triggered a sense of... avoidance at the back of her head... something that tells her to stay away from it... something that tells her to... be afraid of it...

It... it felt, smells... oddly familiar...

...Sealing...?! "Dammit- SETH SNAP OUT OF IT AND LET'S GET OUT OF HERE!!" Her voice was oddly and uncharacteristically panicky and terrified, even with Roukanken in her hands she adamantly refused to take another step forward. Though what she feared even more was, "Seth, are you listening or not?! SETH, GET AWAY FROM THERE!!" the fact that he did not even bother to listen to her...

"You...!" The young man growled darkly, seemingly lost in his own world of hatred as he took a step forward towards the odd girl, not even noticing the mist surrounding him. "You killed Seiko...!" As he approached the girl he raised his hands as though he's holding something in the air... FLASH!

It was the familiar flash of him summoning Youma back in the bathroom to save Seiko, and the half-phantom girl summoning her swords. Indeed, at the same time both the swords still in Youma's hand and the one impaled in the girl's arm disappeared in the same flash of white light and reappeared in his own hands. But instead of the bright silvery finish of the blade...

Hakurouken and Roukanken's blades were pitch black. Considering they are forged from the owner's own soul, it's not a stretch to say that it represents the user's current feeling and emotion. And at the moment, the only thing in his unsuppressed mind was... "YOU KILLED SEIKO!!!"

A powerful raw killing intent that emanated from him through his sword telegraphed the powerfully augmented swing, as he brought Hakurouken and Roukanken down onto the girl with such force that, whether it hits his target or not, would violently smash the floor underneath as well as break the swords themselves!

Stop, Seth-kun!

There was a loud voice that would boom inside Seth's head, hopefully getting him to halt the assault on the little girl.

If you strike her like that, in anger, in hatred... you'll become a victim of this school too!...

It was Seiko's voice! But how!? Wasn't she dead?

Meanwhile, the malevolent spirit would jump back whether or not Seth actually followed through with his strike. "That's it! Just give into it! Show me how much hatred you're capable of!"
"No, I don't think so. Sachiko!"
Another voice!? One of the lockers suddenly burst open and revealed someone inside - it was Hotaru! Why was she hiding inside the locker? Was she just hiding there waiting for an opportune time to strike? In fact, who was Sachiko?

"ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAAAAAAHHHHH!!!"

That would be immediately clear as a young girl in a tattered red dress and long black hair also bolted out of the locker and began pelting the other girl with punches that cut into her arms even though she raised her hands to block them! When she dealt the last blow, the impact sent the spirit flying back violently towards the other side.
"Seth-kun! Snap out of it!" Hotaru yelled. "If you let the hatred take over you, you'll be sucked into the darkness forever! You didn't let that girl die! She was already dead and she didn't know it! None of you knew!"

Wait, what? Seiko was actually a... spirit? A spirit of a girl who didn't know she was already dead?
Please, Seth-kun! I remember everything now... I don't want you to have the same burden Naomi had when she killed me... please... snap out of it! Seiko's voice cried out, louder this time such that everyone can hear.

Suddenly Seiko's slumped body began to move on the floor, while at the same time it grew more transparent to signify her true nature as a spirit. Hopefully this would help Seth snap out of it and realize that he was being consumed by the darkness - it would be the first step in purging it...

One does not simply eat one packet of mee goreng
Everyone's voices fell on deaf ears, his mind and heart was practically sealed to only finish one task and only one in particular, and that is to rip the shred out of the one who murdered Seiko in the same heartless manner! "DON'T YOU DARE RUN AWAY!!!" He roared out as he continued to follow up on his attacks, materializing the pitch black Hakurouken and Roukanken yet again in a flash of light and aimlessly rained down attacks that were easily dodged by the malevolent spirit. Each time his weapon broke and each time wearing his spirit down even more. At this point it would have been easy for him to be entombed by the curse...!

Until a sudden boom of a completely unexpected voice halted him in his steps. Panting heavily as the mist of hatred in his head began to clear slightly, just enough for him to think a little... "...Seiko...?" He spoke with a hint of disbelief, and, slightly hopeful the young butler turned around just to see... Seiko's lifeless body still unmoving on the floor. ...What... but he just... was he just imagining it...?

But the second time it came, he was assured he wasn't just imagining it... it was definitely Seiko's voice! "Seiko?! Are you still alive- where are you?!" He called out somewhat desperately, glancing around for the source of the voice even though he knew it was just echoing in his head.

Yet after that, there was another sudden loud crash that made him jump and raise his guard, but realizing who it is, "Hotaru- what...?" He relaxed slightly, though still tense as she began explaining what was going on. "Seiko was... already dead...?" It was quite hard to accept the fact when he clearly had just seen Seiko murdered in front of him... Even more so when all this time she had been together with them... She was there, she hid behind him when she's scared, he saved her from the noose, he even made a promise to keep her safe... "...You're kidding right? That's just- that's stupid... She wasn't dead, she was clearly alive...!"

Desperate for an answer, he turned to Youma, hoping she would tell them that they're wrong, and Seiko was only just murdered here and now... "...It's true," ...Only his wish were not granted. "I thought it was strange... I myself didn't notice it, I thought she was just... so ordinary, that's why I couldn't smell her existence. But that's not it..." The half-phantom herself began to explain, her eyes averted from Seth's own desperate and pained expression. "She was dead long ago... this whole place smells dead... She blended in so perfectly, I couldn't distinguish her from the rest of this place at all. ...You've been the only living being around,"

C-come on... that's a joke, right? That's totally a joke, right...?! A sense of hopeless defeat washed over him as the swords dropped to the floor with a clatter before shattering to nothingness, his spirit completely defeated at the last confirmation of the revelation, seeing Seiko's lifeless body dissipating to nothingness... "That's... come on t-that's... what kind of s-stupid twist is that...?"

He really devoted his heart to keeping her safe, only to find out that it was already broken from the very beginning...
