Character Name: Jack Bourne
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Height: 5’11’’
Weight: 150 lbs.
Description or Image of Character Appearance:
Posted Image

Occupation: None
Grade Level: Sophmore
Powers/ Abilities:

Ultimate Agility:
Jack’s slightly egotistical name for his primary ‘ability’. Jack has a great deal of agility, unnaturally so. What this translates to is that he is disturbingly quick on his feet. He is able to kick off of walls to gain added height or speed on a jump, he can tuck and roll from a jump to get into a good running pace, and can keep his momentum if knocked down. In general, he’s quick on his feet, even if he isn’t the fastest person alive. What this more or less boils down to is the inability for him to be knocked down for long. He’s always going to get back up, and the only real way to stop him is to put a wall in front of him.

This does not translate, however, to superhuman levels of jumping or the like. If you put something, say, 20 feet in the air, he won’t be able to reach it. He is not Super Mario, he cannot wall jump forever. The best way I can give an example of his skills is parkour: If the laws of physics and biology says he can’t do something, he can’t do it. Well, except for in regards for his other abilities…

Screw you, Gravity!:
Jack has the curious ability to defy gravity. He can walk on walls and ceilings as if they were the floor beneath him with no ill effect. His senses do get a bit jumbled, as he has to deal with sudden vertical movement, or upside down movement, but he’s gotten used to this over the years.

Defying the laws of physics is only possible when his feet are touching the surface. Or rather, one foot is. It doesn’t matter which foot it is, as long as he wants to walk along that surface, he can walk on it with no ill effect. That being said, if he tries to jump off of it, gravity starts paying attention again, and quickly tries to draw him back down to the ground.

Another Way Out:
By spending 3 posts of time scanning around an area, Jack can plan out a specific path through an area. The path can be up to 2 feet wide and can be up to 200 feet long. By placing his hand to the ground during these 3 posts and focusing on this path, he can make it so that the path is walkable for himself and those around him. Since he’s the one who made the path he always knows where it is, but others would have to stay close so as to not fall off.

Now, why is this path so special? Well, it’s because as long as there is something beneath the person’s feet, the path is completely walkable. Water, Mud, Quicksand, as long as it’s a path that he can walk that won’t lead to him dying, it becomes walkable. The path does not have to be straight, and works much like Screw You, Gravity. Physics matters the second you step off the path, and if Jack steps off the path at all, the entire path vanishes, and he has to spend time plotting out a new pathway.

Personality Description:
Jack is energetic and always looking for a new thrill. Some big mystery in town? He wants to investigate it. Some new ride at the amusement park? He wants to ride it. He’s got a perpetual pool of energy and is always willing to be the first one to look into something. He’s fiercely loyal and naïve, and is willing to jump to the defense of anyone as soon as he meets them.

He’s also a bit on the…derp side. He’s not book smart by any means, instead relying on luck to get through situations, and his own capabilities. He lacks any aspirations towards the future, and isn’t exactly concerned with that/ So long as he gets to enjoy himself, that’s all that matters.

Personal History:
Jack lacks the tragic backstory of most kids attending Hyakuji High School. Really, having powers has always benefitted him. He tended to keep them secret for the most part, knowing full well that being caught was going to mean having to go to a proper school for the superhuman, and that sounded like a boring time. Why do that when he could hang out with normal folks and use his powers to do cool stuff? He didn’t like the idea of having to practice with them or anything. He didn’t know how he got them; he didn’t care if they got any better. They were good enough for him, and they were cool powers. What more could a guy want?

Well sadly for Jack, reality gave no concern to his own desires. During a pretty drastic situation, which he doesn’t like to talk about, he ended up having to use his powers in public, astounding friends, his parents, his schoolmates, in general everyone around him. He wanted desperately to not reveal them, but the situation was such that doing so would have been…bad. Having been outed to pretty much everyone who mattered, he tried to worm his way out of the situation. Alas, it was not possible. He was a superhuman kid, and after a few years of intensive Japanese classes, he was shipped off to Japan.
