One does not simply eat one packet of mee goreng
Former King Queen of the Underworld

Character Name: Miss Snow White or Yuki/Miyuki/Koyuki/etc... as she calls herself in Japan (she has this annoying habit of changing her public name a lot...)
Gender: Clearly a lady...
Age: 24.5 (Definitely looks 24, but likes to pass herself off as 18)
Height: 175cm
Weight: The Statue of Liberty. >.> (she's kidding)
Description or Image of Character Appearance:

:)

:P

Occupation: Maid at Cafe Mahou / Dozens of other odd jobs
Grade Level: Dropped out of middle school (really wants to go to high school though...)
Powers/ Abilities:

Top of the Food Chain ~ The Ultimate Survivor
The life of crime is not an easy one. No one follows the rules, the laws aren't there to keep you safe, you can't trust people with anything. You, are on your own, in this wild and untamed world. In this world, everyone follows one, very simple core life philosophy. The strong survives, the weak dies. And Miss Snow White is a true survivor of that world.

While lacking in any real supernatural abilities at her disposal and, in every way and definition, a normal human being, she makes it up with sheer experience and skills and raw determination to survive. She has the strength, instinct, skills and intelligence to easily class herself amongst the top of the top in the pyramid of power. Ruthless, pragmatic, with a mindset akin to that of a predator, even with her skill alone she is easily capable of putting most average power users to shame.

The Dead Ringer ~ If You Fall, Rise Rise Again
A mysterious golden pocket watch passed down to her from the previous leader of Heavens West, engraved with a hummingbird and never tells the right time. Putting that aside, this golden pocket watch, when activated has the ability to almost completely negate any attack aimed towards the user, gives the user instantaneous absolute visual invisibility and creates a lifeless clone of the user's body having taken the attack at full force.

Here's the catch though. Regardless of how the watch actually works on the inside, it's clear that it is not made for repeated use in a short amount of time. Once used, the watch will completely cease to function, and will require exactly an hour for the clock mechanism, and at least three hours for the cloaking mechanism to function properly again.

Once activated, the cloaking will last for 6.5 seconds, after which it will be negated with a very loud and distinctive noise signalling anyone in the vicinity of the user's presence. As for the lifeless clone, it will persist for about ten minutes before disappearing in the same manner as a reversed decloaking effect.

Now the most important part, damage negation. Quite unfortunately for the user, when the Dead Ringer's cloaking mechanism is used it has the tendency to activate even at the smallest of damage, such as falling on the floor, bumping your head at a sign post, or even slightly struggling for breath. Due to the invaluable and extremely sensitive nature of the cloaking system it is oftentimes only used to save the user from a truly fatal attack, making this more of an escaping tool rather than a defensive tool. Even then, it will only protect the user during the time of activation, and the damage negation will no longer be in effect after the user has been completely cloaked. And while it can negate an attack, it doesn't do it entirely. The user will still take a fraction of damage from the attack. But just to put it into perspective, she can get hit by a truck and walk away with just a couple of broken bones.

Now here's some interesting rumor about the watch. It will fail to function for exactly an hour right after activation, making the watch an hour slower than the actual time every time it is used. They say that, if the watch becomes twelve hours slower than the actual time, the last user of the watch will die within twelve hours.

Maybe it wasn't such a coincidence that the previous leader of Heavens West had used the watch twelve times before his death? Maybe it's just a silly rumor, who knows. Yuki had already used it four times though, so she might want to watch out for it.

Equipment You Have:

The Dead Ringer: A golden pocket watch with a hummingbird engraved on the cover that was passed down to her that never shows the right time. It is currently four hours slower than the actual time.
Your Eternal Reward: An ornate dagger that was also passed down to Yuki from the previous leader of Heavens West. Aside from it's unnaturally high durability and seemingly everlasting sharpness it is an entirely ordinary dagger... or so she says. So far her claim has been proven right.
Bicycle Black Ghost Playing Cards: She likes poker.
Mahogany cello: She actually has talent playing it, just... not much, as of late.
Tons of faked documents and IDs: For things.
A double headed and double tailed coin: She always gets caught using it...
The Guys: She didn't exactly run away from America alone. She's got a couple of friends from her now-gone gang who does all of her legal stuff and documents and everything, they're basically the guys who are responsible in helping her live a normal life. They've got their own stuff to handle though, so they can't always be there for her. Though they do make good drinking partners.

Residency Request:
That apartment room somewhere in the suburban area. Top floor, because she likes the view. Decent and cheap.

Schedule:
Morning: Wake up, breakfast, beg for extension from the landlord to pay the apartment rent
Afternoon: Lunch, Cafe Mahou, wander around high school in false hope of attending school again
Evening: Dinner, maybe a stroll around at night, old black and white movies and radio shows
Night: Beg for extension from the landlord to pay the apartment rent again, contemplate her now empty meaningless life and being nostalgic about her past life, sleep.

Personality Description:

Amiable, laid back, easy-going, the moment you look at her you may be reminded of the cool big brother I mean sister whom you couldn't help but admire and idolize from afar and from every angle possible. She may be seen as a fairly reserved person at first, perhaps even slightly intimidating, but you'll sooner than later find out that she definitely has a way with words. Striking up a conversation is easy with her unless she chooses otherwise, generally a friendly individual once you get past the first little barrier.

Of course, that emotional barrier is there for a reason.

It may have been a long time since she had left the world of the underground, but as people would say, old habits die hard. Behind the friendly front is the old shadow of the fearsome Queen of the Underworld. The complete opposite to her namesake, she has the capability to become terrifyingly ruthless and unforgiving, even to those whom she only slightly dislikes, toying around with them and making them suffer as much as possible. And loving every moment of it. She is... psychopathic, you could say.

No thanks to her upbringing, the young woman is a true believer of power, never missing a chance to prove her dominance over anything she could get her hands on. At the same time, her upbringing has also taught her that survival is everything, and will never risk her life for something that is not worth it. Extremely territorial, don't mess around with anything she claims as her own or else.

Saying that though, there is nothing that she values more than her life except for her friends. The young woman easily socializes with people, but she can be extremely picky for those she can trust. Even if you did manage to get on her good side, be warned and be careful not to tick her off in any way, because she will not hesitate to stab you in the back. But once you're in her inner circle, congratulations, you are her 'bro'... which is pretty much the only idealistic view she has in the midst of her pragmatic and down-to-earth lifestyle and philosophy.

Personal History:

It was a dark snowy night in the city of New York, a time when your typical everyday civilians would be together with their friends and family, tucking in on fat grilled turkey in the midst of bright cheerful lights and carols accompanied by laughter and happiness. Yet at this time, there was a lone, white-haired little girl, cold, sitting solemnly in a dark alley of New York city.

She... had a home. Or she thought... she had a home. The little girl could hardly remember anything before the last few days ago. The moment she woke up a few days ago, she was... out here, alone, with nothing with her aside from the dirtied little white coat she had on her back. No real possessions, no memory, no identity, no... nothing, she was left to wander around aimlessly on the streets. She was weak, naive, and stupid. The world looked gigantic and overwhelming to her lone little self, the world terrified her, pushing her to shun herself away from the general society. Much to her misfortune, she has no experience in surviving the world all by herself... The world is harsh, and she was just fighting a losing battle.

New York City, Christmas Eve, 1992.

She had the fortune to meet one man. A man whom had ordered his driver to stop the car at an alleyway after noticing a white-haired little girl taking refuge in an alleyway in the middle of a snowy winter night. A man whom had been so kind to approach the terrified girl, speaking in a soft and gentle voice, offering the little girl a ride in his car to the promising warmth of... a home.

A man whom she would sooner find out... without even knowing what it meant, after eagerly taking his offer... to be the renowned and infamous leader of the Heavens West gang, the 'King of the Underworld' himself.

And she unknowingly took a step into the lawless and detestable world. A world of crime, a world where survival is the only thing that matters. A world where the only valid rule is: The strong survives, the weak dies.

~

Snow White, as she had been fittingly named three years ago, was living a fairly happy and somewhat normal life under the care of the leader of Heavens West himself, whom he treated like she was his own daughter. He tried to raise her, give her the life of a normal child... but it was a hard task considering his position. While everyone else in Heavens West are more than willing to lend a hand, the rest of society... not so much.

The moment everyone found out about her association with the leader of Heavens West, they immediately started giving her the cold shoulder. They refused to talk to her, any interaction with her were short and curt, some even outright ran away from her. It's not any better when the leader decided for her to go to school. Her initially excited demeanor immediately turned sour upon seeing the reaction of others finding out she had been escorted to the local school by the King of the Underworld himself.

It was... unpleasant. Back at the headquarter she is safe and sound, surrounded by people whom would go to great length to take care of her. But once she steps outside, it was the real world. She becomes alone without anyone from the Heavens West to help her, scared and weak and incapable of fending for herself, like a newborn cub being tossed into the wild...

The real world hated her. And she disliked the real world. She doesn't even know why they're doing this, what has she done wrong? All she wanted was to do what the other kids would do, but why can't she have it? What's wrong with being with the leader of the Heavens West, he hasn't done anything wrong... For all she knew of him, he was a nice and kindly man whom would go out of his way to help her with anything she asks... He's not a bad man, stop saying that...

She doesn't like it. And she couldn't stand it for long.

One day, at the Heavens West headquarter...

The door to the leader's office swung open without warning, the leader himself startled at the sudden interruption immediately reaching for the gun hidden inside the drawer of his table, but managed to stop himself just in time the moment he realized it was Snow White... standing at the doorway looking disheveled and covered in bruises, tear-stricken and clearly in grief, with the rest of the Heavens West members peering nervously from behind the doorway.

And it was only then did she get to see the persona the King of the Underworld had kept hidden from her all this time. How angry he was could not be described by mere words, his furious yell sent everyone quite literally scampering for their lives. He hardly seemed like the kindly man she used to know, and to a kid like her, he... seriously, looked like a monster...

She didn't run though... despite what had been shown she stood there, defiantly telling herself, "This isn't him... he would never get angry..." Even with her entire body shaking in fear right now... she couldn't run... She doesn't want to run... This is the only place... the only world that doesn't hate her...

He calmed down at the sight of her horrified face, giving himself a mental smack in the face for completely failing to actually do what he intended to do... give her a normal life. He... really shouldn't have even tried... A man of his position, in this world...?

...He owes her an explanation. It's because of him that she had to suffer like this... He told her everything, about who he really is, what he does for a living, the kind of world that he lives, the kind of world that she currently lives in... and why he had kept everything a secret from her. She was just a child... she wouldn't be bothered to find out, it wouldn't matter to her. Or... so he had thought all these time. He knows what life is like in this detestable world... you cannot live without dirtying your hand. There ain't no rest for the wicked, until they close their eyes for good. And he... doesn't want such a pure and innocent, snow white soul like hers get tainted...

But it's too late. He only realized it now, it's too late already. The moment he took her in, she's trapped here, in the lawless world of constant fight for survival.

Next, he did the only thing he knows how to do best. He taught her... everything. Everything he knew about survival, everything he knew, so she could take care of herself, protect herself, become independent and no longer be stuck in despair. It was hard... for both the King of the Underworld and Snow White herself at first... but it got easier... and easier... and easier... The snow white soul has already been tainted, he thought. If it meant keeping her safe, dirtying her hands a little bit more shouldn't hurt...

~

Heavens West HQ, 2011.

In the previous King of the Underworld's office, Miss Snow White sat by the mahogany table, staring into an old faded picture she's had since her childhood. An aged and handsome smiling man with a laughing white-haired girl sitting on his shoulder.

How time have passed since that time.

The previous leader of Heavens West passed away a few years back. It was big news, the whole city was noisy about it, but none was noisier than the Heavens West HQ, when everyone began arguing about whom should take over as the new leader. They had no say in anything when Snow White herself presented a will written by the leader found inside his personal vault, saying that everything that belongs to him are to be passed down to Snow White, including the entirety of Heavens West.

Some showed unease, at giving command to such a young... girl, some actually revolted, accusing this as a ploy for her to gain power. But Snow White was not so easily shot down. In the lawless world, the strong survives, the weak dies, and she proved to everyone that she is the strongest of them all. Anyone who dared to even cross her suffered her wrath, and she wasted no time asserting her dominance over the entire group, claiming her throne and becoming the new Queen of the Underworld.

Life hasn't been easy after that. It's the life of crime, you are to commit crimes to survive. And the Heavens West was not the only gang in the city either, so confrontations with others are on a regular basis. She needed to keep the power balance, with herself at the top of the food chain. "The strong survives... the weak dies..."

Something she had been repeating to herself again and again since his death, acting like a mantra for her. The previous leader taught her that... and that's why she's still living now. She owes her life to him, and the only way she could repay him is to keep on living...

The woman gave a sigh as she set the photograph onto the desk, glancing at the golden pocket watch and the ornate dagger inside a velvet box sitting on the desk, just as a particularly loud bang was heard from the door, startling her slightly. "...You didn't have to knock that hard you kn-"

CRASH!!!

What a shock it was, as all of a sudden the door swung open violently, banging hard on the opposite wall. A body dropped into the room, a dead body of a Heavens West member... The young woman was stunned, staring at the body in shock before noticing yet another man, clad in an all black suit raising a pistol into the air, pointing it straight at her- BANG!!!

A deafening crack of a gunshot as a bullet tore through her head. Miss Snow White dropped dead in the table without a twitch. Job done, the man in black thought, as he relaxed his stance with a satisfied sigh-

Before hearing a loud and distinctively weird sound behind him, followed by the voice, "I think not,"

One stab. Two stab, three stab, swift and clean, Miss Snow White drove the dagger into the man one by one, piercing straight through all of his vital organ before kicking him down to the floor. Even if he's still breathing he won't live to see the next hour. But... what in the name of hell just happened...?

With an increasing sense of dread, the young woman darted out of the room, running through the entire building and just... kept... seeing horrors... everywhere... Here and there, dead members of the gang, almost everyone unarmed, it was as though they all had been attacked without even realizing what was up... As she went down the building however, she could hear gunshots... down below, they are fighting... what? Who are they fighting? How did they manage to infiltrate the HQ and had already taken down this many men in such a short amount of time...?

She will get her answer from a sudden encounter with a Heavens West member she bumped into at a corner. There was a moment of pause as they both took the time to identify whom is who, the woman lowering her guard once she realized it was an ally, opened her mouth to question about the situation-

Only to have herself being held at gunpoint.

Shocking, to say the least, she was at loss for word, baffled at what her own members would do. But even with her hesitation, he hesitated as well, seemingly disturbed at the idea of pulling the trigger on her. She couldn't risk it though, taking the chance to rapidly disarm him, reversing their position with the muzzle of the gun on his head instead. "...Tell me everything or else," She muttered coldly, her voice lacking in any kind of emotion. And he knew she is not the kind to go back on her words. If he goes against her, he will die. "I-I... I don't... know..." Not pleased by the answer she pressed the gun harder against his forehead, prompting him to sputter out, "I SWEAR I DON'T KNOW! It's just... they... t-they just appeared out of nowhere...! Some of us even turned against us... I r-really don't know how they got in, but they've taken out... lots...!"

...The hell... is he saying...?

A deafening yell echoed through the hallway, presumably coming from the main lobby at the ground floor. Forget the explanations... her friends are fighting down there, and she's not there to help them...! All of them... her friends since she was a kid...

She immediately darted off without a second thought, an ornate dagger in one hand, and a useless golden pocket watch in the other, leaping down the stairs one flight at a time until she reached the ground floor, and to her horror- it was a battleground here. On one side, laying down suppressive fire were men similar to the man in black whom had broken into her office, but more shockingly, some of the Heavens West members were with them... And on the other side, what little remaining members of Heavens West, cowering behind covers and futilely fighting back, slowly being pushed out through the main entrance. What in the name of hell...?

She didn't wait for an answer, not that she could get any anyway. Without a second thought Miss Snow White leaped into the fray of combat herself, armed with nothing but a dagger and the element of surprise she began mowing her way down from behind towards her friends, regardless of whom she had just slashed down was an enemy or a former friend. She couldn't take down much, as she reached the other side of the lobby, taking cover behind a pillar with a Heavens West member, the rest being glad she was still alive and kicking. "What the hell is going on here?!"

"Miss, don't worry about that right now!" He yelled out over the gunfight, as a stray bullet whizzed past his head. "What matters now, is that you should get the hell out of here! It's not safe anymore!"

...Excuse me... Excuse me, what did he say? Is he... is he suggesting that she... she should just... leave? Leave this place, abandon this place, and everyone? You can tell that she was understandably furious of his answer, opening her mouth in anger but was cut short by the Heavens West member, "Miss, you have to live! King wanted you to live! It was in his will, and we've all made a vow to always follow the King's order! And his order is to make sure you live, no matter what! He wanted you to have a happy, normal life, and we'll make sure you can live a happy life!"

Without even giving her a chance to rebut he smashed the side of her head with the butt of his gun, nearly knocking her unconscious. In her dizzy state she felt herself being dragged away from the scene and out through the front entrance, the woman only barely seeing the blurry outline of the tall building she had called her home her entire life. "...No... wait... d-don't..." She... she doesn't want to leave... this is her home... This is King's home... this is her world... What do you mean, live a normal life... she can't... live in the real world...

Don't... take her home away... not again...

She thought she saw a man and a woman smiling down at her before her vision and her mind blacked out entirely.

Little trivia~

  • She never actually had any educational background more than half-a-year into middle school before dropping out entirely. Not for lack of trying, she really wants to be in a school life environment
  • Lives on cereal and milk
  • Apparently someone out there really wants to kill her just because she shares the same name as them...
  • Extremely bad with electronics and technology, not to mention severely lacking in academic knowledge. Though she is surprisingly good in Geography, Literature and modern fashion (though never actually makes any attempt in following them herself), and is multilingual (but pardon the writer for only knowing English and Malay)
  • Loves classical music and usually makes an attempt to attend any classical music show
  • A terrible gambler and a much terribler liar, in part no thanks to her occasionally explosive temper and slightly psychotic mindset.
  • She can cook. ...Really, she can!

While lacking in any real supernatural abilities at her disposal, she could easily be equally classified as a veteran of a war. Her entire life of being exposed to the dark side of the world has taught her everything she needed to know to take on anything the world can throw at her. Leave her alone in the wild with nothing with her but the clothes on her back, she can survive for as long as she wants to. Pit her in a fight, she'll be damned if she couldn't take down a goddamn grizzly bear. Torture her? Yeah right, try surviving her first, then we can talk about even capturing her. It's not about being strong or fast, it's all about being smart and skillful. What she lacks in strength, she makes it up with sheer experience and skills and raw determination to survive, capable of putting most average power users to shame.

Even a cornered mouse can be dangerous, you know.
