You hear a knock on your door. Upon answering the knock, an odd man in a suit is standing there.

"My name is Masakaki. I am from the Midas Bank. I am here to offer you a chance of a lifetime."
The first thing people would hear was bank. Most would shove him aside, but there is something about him that you cannot shake. You let him in, inquiring about this 'chance of a lifetime.' He proceeds with his explanation. "The financial district is in dire need of entrepreneurs and from a random draw you have been chosen. Congratulations!" He says almost eccentrically. He then speaks your name, and occupation as if he knew it by heart. You would have remembered signing up for something like this right? You ask what this entails. "Well, as an Entrepreneur, or Entre for short, the Midas Bank will loan you a large sum of money, using your future as collateral."

You shake your head? Money? Lots of money? For nearly free? But it was loaned out against your future? This couldn't be real.

"There is a catch though..." He says. Of course there had to be a catch. "Once a week, you must travel to the Financial District to fight in a battle with another Entre, called a Deal. Its an opportunity to make even more money. But its also a chance to lose everything."

Everything... that was a heavy thought... A card appears in your hand. "That is your Midas Card. You can use it at any ATM. Simply withdraw money from the funds that will be given to you to accept the terms of being an Entre. I will call when it is time for your Deals.

Just like that, Masakaki disappears as if he was never there at all. All that remains of his visit is the card in your hand. Will you use it? Will you put your very future on the line in the pursuit of money?

Alright, so I am going to be running a plot based on the anime [c] The Money of Soul, and Possibility Control. Just post here if you are interested in joining in.

This plot will be independent of everything else going on on the site given the nature of what is going on. Any events that go on during this plot will only effect threads that are tagged with the [c] tag. Participants can make threads with the [c] tag other than Deal threads if you wish to converse with other participants, or act out what happens to your character after Bankruptcy. This will make controlling the issue of Bankruptcy easier, as it will only effect plot related threads.

All players will start with a Loan of Midas money in their bank accounts to the sum of ¥250,000 on top of any cash assets that they have to start with.

All information that needs to be known
Quote:

Financial District:
The world created by the Midas Bank for the Entres to do battle in. There are Financial Districts all over the world, though for Japan it is the East Asian Financial District.
The Financial District is a complete recreation of a major city, along with all of its services, run by Entres.

Posted Image

To reach the district all you have to do is hold up the card in the real world, and a taxi will show up to take you to the Financial District.

Posted Image

Masakaki:
-He will call upon Entres when it is time for their Deals.
-He will appear if an Entre calls for him within the Financial District.
-He is helpful, but only as much as he allows himself to be.
Posted Image

Asset:
-An Entre fights through Deals with the help of their Assets.
-When you post for entry, you will also need to create an Asset.
-An Asset is the embodiment of the Entre's future, though there is no way to know what any given form means of your future though.
-An Asset comes with 10 Stocks. These stocks can be sold to the highest bidder either publicly or privately, even during a Deal. This can be used to regain money lost to continue fighting.
-If an Entre acquires all 10 Stocks of an Asset, they acquire that Asset, and can summon them during Deals.
-You can only have 1 Asset out at a time during a Deal, but you can tag them in and out at any time.
Quote:

Deals:
-Entre's must fight another Entre once a week in a Deal.
-You can also challenge another Entre at any time to a Deal.
-To cancel a Deal, either the weekly one, or a challenge, you must pay half of your total assets to the Midas Bank.
-A Deal has a time limit of 666 Seconds.
-You win a deal when either the time runs out and you have more money then your opponent, or if you bankrupt them before the time is up.
-Every Entre post will take up 30 seconds.
-Other Entres may watch Deals at their leisure. Their posts do not take up seconds.
-You may launch one attack with your Asset and one with your Character once per post.
-Damage caused to Entres, Assets, and the District itself is not permanent, and will be repaired as soon as the Deal is over.
-Entre and Asset's wounds bleed black. Entre's will also bleed Midas Money. The more you bleed, the more money you loose. The opponent doesn't gain the money though.
-If you lose a deal, it will effect the real world around you depending on how much money you lose.
-If you win a Deal, You gain all of the money used by your opponent during the Deal.
-To begin a Deal, both Entres hold their cards in front of their face. The card will say "Deal Open."

-For fairness sake, I will make the initial pairings, from their you can challenge people between weekly Deals.

The Timer, as well as a measure of total money remaining

Bankruptcy:
When you run out of money, your Midas card breaks, and you are banished from the Financial District. Also, your future is claimed as collateral by the Midas Bank. This is different from person to person, and there is no real way of knowing what you will lose. The most common result of Bankruptcy is eventual suicide though.
-I will let the player decide what the character has lost due to the bankruptcy.
Quote:

Attacks:
-To attack, you must invest money into them.
-To invest money, you swipe you hand over your card, and state the attack name and tier, as well as the investment you wish to make.

Direct:
-The Entre can invest money to create an energy sword in their hand good for one hit.
-The Entre can invest any amount of money into a Direct, though the more money you invest the larger and heavier the sword will be.
-If the attack is successful, the investment is returned two times, and the opponent looses half of the invested sum.

Flations:
-Asset attacks that the entre must invest in to use.
-Split into three separate tiers depending on the size of the investment and in relation the power of the attack.
-Each Asset has their own unique attacks.
-You can either have one attack that is scaled up and down, or three separate attacks.
-If the attack is successful, you gain 1.5x the investment, and the opponent looses half of the invested sum.

-Micro - The weakest tier of attack. ¥100,000 Minimum Investment
-Mezzo - The mid tier of attack. ¥1,000,000 Minimum Investment
-Macro - The strongest tier of attack. ¥10,000,000 Minimum Investment
Quote:

Midas Cards:
-Entres get different cards depending on their total bank account balance.
-When you win a Deal, the card will say "You have Gain."
-When you lose, "You Lose."
-When Bankrupt, "You are Bankrupt." And it will shatter.
-When you swipe your hand over it for an attack, it will repeat what the Entre has stated as the attack and investment. For Example, "MezzoFlation, *Attack Name*, Five Million."

I will approve assets as we go along as well as keep a list of people who are involved and their accounts. To those who have a significant amount of money beforehand, I would ask you try and give me an estimate of how much for me to put down to start with. I will probably start when we have at least 5 people and will allow people to join in late as the Financial District is always looking for new Entres.

Signing Kanji up for this

Asset's Name: Golem- The Iron Fist
Asset's Appearance:
Spoiler: click to toggle

Attacks: Basic Melee Fighter
Micro - Rocket Fist. The attack is just as it sounds. Golem moves at increased speed when thrusting his fist forward. The blow itself depending on how much investment is made, can rip through steel or shatter a small brick wall.
Mezzo - Raging One-Two- Wreathed in Red and Black flames. Golem goes into the offense. His punches ar much like the rocket fist, except it's more a flurry of blows, following with an uppercut surrounded with the flames. At the stronger level, the blows actually send out shockwaves of flames.
Macro - Tortured Fist of the Black Flame- The blow is equivalent to a missile strike. Each blow sends out an explosion of force that can easily clear an area. The strikes are precise and lightning fast. It follows up with a charged blow that would be enough to destroy a house in one strike. This can't be used unless the proper amount of investment is made into the attack.

Asset's Name: Slenderman
Asset's Appearance:
Spoiler: click to toggle

Attacks:
Micro - "Impalement" (Allows Slenderman to use black shadow-like tentacles as a spear-like weapon, within a 15ft range)
Mezzo - "Entanglement" (Allows Slenderman to use black shadow-like tentacles and grapple his opponent, tossing and slamming them about. The max reach distance is 150ft and cannot turn corners in either direction.)
Macro - "The Feared One" (Slendermans basic appearance sends intense fear through the opponent, causing headaches and probable insanity. In order for this to work, Slenderman must be seen by his opponent, via direct eye contact or any reflecting surface.)

Asset's Name: Pecunia

Attacks - Micro: Soft Loan

Soft Loan- A loan provided at below the market interest rate. Generally used by international agencies to encourage economic activity in developing countries and to support non-commercial activities.

Effect: By paying opponent's opportunity cost (corresponding tier)*, Pecunia provokes its opponent asset to do the same exact move that the opponent asset has done previously in the same direction and with the same movement, encouraging it to invest in now-futile economic activities.

Description: Using agile speed and light manipulation ability that Pecunia has as an asset, the asset creates a double-image of itself and an illusion around both the assets and the entrepreneurs to re-create a recently enacted scene, causing the opponent Asset to respond in the same exact way as remembered from memories. Pecunia and its Entrepreneur would not be affected by the double image and the illusion. Due to the main role of the Asset in this case being the one who puppets the scene out, the Asset will not be able to use any Flation during the time of Soft Loan execution.

Attacks - Mezzo: Leveraged Buy-Out

Leveraged Buy-Out (LBO) - an acquisition where the purchase price is financed through a combination of equity and debt and in which the cash flows or assets of the target are used to secure and repay the debt.

Effect: By paying opponent's opportunity cost equal to opponent's opportunity cost before or while taking investment damage from opponent, either via direct damage or asset damage, Pecunia would mimic the opponent, including the opponent's facial feature, and attacks the Entrepreneur with said attack.

Description: Again, using speed and light manipulation ability, Pecunia creates a double image of either the opponent Asset itself or its Entrepreneur, and mimic the move that was used on Pecunia or its Entrepreneur. If the attack hits, it will deal twice the damage that it did originally to Pecunia's monetary fund base. This attack is to be expected to be something similar to be a mirroring move. This attack also cannot be used for Micro-Flation.

Attacks - Macro: Arbitrage

Arbitrage - Buying an asset in one market and simultaneously selling an identical asset in another market at a higher price.

Effect: By paying base cost + opponent's opportunity cost (corresponding tier)*, Pecunia creates a barrier that takes and absorbs the opponent attack, and returns it to the opponent as a mirror image.

Description: The light manipulation skill is turned into a barrier in this case, absorbing everything in the field of the attack into it. With the blinding light, the opponent's attack is being contained. Pecunia then analyzes the fundamental of the opponent's attack, and mimics the attack to unleash it upon the opponent using the illusion, as if the opponent has normally attacked a mirror image of itself, and triggered said mirror image to unleash its own special attack on itself.

Opportunity Cost (Corresponding Tier) : Minimum investment of each level of Flation for each Tier. Opportunity Cost of a Micro move for Micro would be ¥100,000, for Mezzo would be ¥200,000, and for Macro would be ¥300,000. Opportunity Cost of a Mezzo move for Micro would be ¥1,000,000, for Mezzo would be ¥2,000,000, etc.

Posting Info:

Character: Cassi Schtauffen

Asset's Name: Mad Moxxi
Asset's Appearance:
Spoiler: click to toggle

Attacks:
Micro-"Sound Wave" .:Summons her megaphone and fires a sonic blast. Causes minor damage, and stuns for a few seconds. The duration of stun depends on investment, starting at 2 seconds, and increasing up to 6 seconds:.
Mezzo-"What goes around...." .:Takes off hat and absorbs next attack into it. The attack either has to be a projectile attack, or if it is a ranged physical attack (e.g. Luffy's gum gum pistol, tenticle attacks, etc.), it has to extend at least five feet. The hat then returns the attack back to the opponent. Damage depends on the strength of the absorbed attack. Must match opponent's investment in order to successfully absorb the attack. Also, 'What goes around...' has a cooldown period. After a use, it cannot be used for the next 1.5 minutes (3 posts):.
Macro-"Mad Dance of Infinity" .:Moxxi rushes forward at a blinding speed, and attacks with punches and kicks in rapid succession, and from random directions. She finishes it off by firing 6 to 13 lasers that barrage the opponent. Higher investments increase the speed and number of the attacks and lasers:.

IT IS ARCHEMAR'S TURN

Asset's Name: The Abdicated Throne
Asset's Appearance: (monarch in picture not included)
Spoiler: click to toggle

Attacks:
Micro - "Brass Guardian" - For a small investment, the brass guardians of the throne come to life and protect it with all their might. Four in total with each wielding a sword, shield, spear and the ability to fly.
Mezzo - "Burden of Rule" - For a moderate investment, a brass crown appears on the head of the enemy, making them slightly slower and draining a small amount of money from the opponent each turn. It costs a small amount of money from the caster each turn to maintain until after three turns. After which it remains for free.
Macro - "Chain of Command" - After three turns of 'Burden of Rule', a large investment can be put down to create a copy of the enemy Asset chained to the brass throne now wearing the brass crown instead of the original. This copy represents it, can take damage for it and for each turn it remains it drains a large amount of money from the opponent. It can be destroyed, but the enemy takes damage for it and a moderate investment must be paid. After three turns in the throne, the throne will begin to do damage to the copy (and subsequently the original) Asset by itself.

Mikime: For the Macro: I would assume that the max drain would be equal to the investment, and the needle has to make initial contact. Also add in the rate at which money is lost and if there are any counters beyond dodge, Win, or timeout.

Asagi: For the Macro: How big is an area? Because the battle could take place over the entire city/District.

Canti: I assume for the Mezzo the tentacles cannot turn corners and the like to persue. May want to expand on that. For the Macro, I assume that since you said it was a combination of the flation and his appearance, the enemy needs to look at him to be affected, either during the flation, or afterwarda. May want to expand on that as well.

Serenity: Mezzo: I would say that for that kind of attack to work she would not only have to invest at least the same amount that they did, but the incoming attack would have to be focused enough/ a projectile to be able to catch it. Would like you to expand on it/Look over my suggestions.

Baron: Both the mezzo and macro are a bit over powered. The mezzo simply puts a crown on their head, and the macro has no counter. The micro is okay as long as they are only dummies that can defend within a certain raidius. I would like to see you do some attack with the flying swords, but thats just me. You need something to either fix or replace the last two attacks.

Ooh! This sounds fun! Count me in please~

I'll be entering Deviel, of course (he's my only character).

P.O.box Pretty Oblique Blunt Over-sized objeXt (because it can't spell)

As his name suggests, he is a large box, a large floating box.

Micro: For standard micro fee, when Deviel or his asset are hit by any attack, Deviel may pay
for the same level of attack and be guaranteed a hit on the opponent. This effect lasts 2
attacks before renewal.

Mezzo: For standard mezzo fee a prism is created between any attack and Deviel
that both doubles the power of attacks that he uses and halves the damage of attacks used on him for
one attack. The more money that is invested in addition to the original cost, the more attacks the
prism affects. If stacked, the prisms proportionally increase the effect, but also the payment.
The prism will always stay between Deviel and any attack, while active.

Macro: |H.O.P.E.| First time use: The asset opens and the acronym H.O.P.E. begins to
glow on its front. In this form a list appears on Deviel's card which shows the order of the 6
randomized attacks that H.O.P.E. can use.

For standard macro fee, each use of H.O.P.E. picks two attacks by coin-flip going through the list
from top to bottom. If an attack flip returns heads, the attack is added as one of the two attacks
for the turn. After two attacks are chosen, one will be cast on each combatant. After every use of
H.O.P.E. Deviel may choose to re-arrange the order of the macro attack list by a single switch of
consecutive attacks. If an order switch did not occur the previous turn, Deviel may decide which
attack goes to which combatant.

||Macro attacks||
---------------------------------------------
+Hope+, grants total invincibility to the target until his next turn.

-Stop-, halts the target's time for one turn.

-Dark- drains the target's money over the next 5 actions, taking 5% of their total cash per turn,
or a 25% transaction fee if castee uses moves.

+Shield+ creates a shield that cancels damage up to 50%
of castee's total cash.

-Slash- slices the target once dealing a massive amount of damage to the
target.(25% of target's total cash, minimum 30,000)

+Repel+ completely deflects any attack,
directed at the castee, back to the attacker.
----------------------------------------------
If +Hope+ reaches the end of the list through a minimum of 5 switches, then hope is said to be lost,
causing H.O.P.E. to morph into D.E.S.P.A.I.R. causing the move +Hope+ to change into -Grim- which immediately
KO's the target, ending the battle. (thus the last one standing wins)

Original list:
Hope
Stop
Dark
Shield
Slash
Repel

Please note that since H.O.P.E.'s macro is a randomized ability, all of the randomized skill options must be of macro level, even though this makes it appear to be a bit strong.
